I was 20 minutes late to my first appointment due to passing two accidents that resulted in lane closings. I came to this practice from a referral from my former GI. I tried to call to let them know I was stuck in traffic, but the machine said Our offices are now closed and gave me no option for a message. When I got there I was told that, due to my lateness, not only would I not be able to keep this appointment but I would not be accepted as a new patient and would need to contact my old GI for a new referral to a different practice. I understand having a time policy; I was not aware of the 15 minute period prior to driving all the way there, but I respect it. However, the fact that I can never be seen as a patient there due to seems a little extreme. I did inform the person at check in that I had attempted to call but the line was closed, and she repeated that I would need to get a referral to a new practice. Yes, I could have left earlier. No, I did not have any control over this situation. If this practice is such a stickler for promptness and timeliness, maybe they should have their phones on when the practice is open. Were really rejecting a patient permanently on the basis of 20 minutes?From the first phone call I had to this practice I was treated rudely. I recently moved here so I had called to ask if this practice participated with my insurance and provided my current medication, and the person on the line sounded offended that I would even ask that before officially becoming a patient; naturally I intended to first narrow down which practices offer my medication and participate with my insurance before making my first appointment so as to not waste my time or theirs at a practice where I wouldnt continue.Luckily there are plenty of other GI providers in this region for me to choose from!

I had Dr. Devgun and the mobile anesthesiologist team at the penfield office. They were absolutely amazing. My anesthesiologist was the most knowledgeable one Ive ever met about my medications and going over what would work being sedated given my meds and history. All the nurses and the doctor were very kind and not rude or abrasive. I was pleasantly suprised given my numerous bad expirences (at other places) because I have many health issues. Every single staff member was friendly. They even had me laughing. I have alot of anxiety so they definitely made me feel better. Also saying thank you goes a long way, make sure to always thank your health care workers! I highly recommend this office for endoscopy and gastric related issues. They also so colonoscopys. I would of had mine done here had I know that as well.

I had severe stomach pain. They didnt have a fast appointment with my doctor there, but finally offered a visit with Amy. She did a wonderful and thorough job on me. Even got me in for a rush upper GI. The office people are okay, but Amy and Dr. Chodas were/are fabulous. I go there for them. Thanks for a great service!

I had a wonderful experience with N.P. Sarah Pratt. She listened to my concerns, took the time to give detailed explanations and gave me the next steps for treatment. I had a negative experience at another gastro office and felt a huge weight off my shoulders after my appointment with N.P. Pratt. Thank you!

I have been going to this practice on and off for the past 6 years. Dr. Chodos was the only GI doc in Rochester who helped me. I will be seeing him again this week for a procedure. I trust him completely. And the girls at the front have been very nice to me. I would highly recommend this practice.

I wanted to give this a one star but the server wouldnt allow it, not even a two. I had a horrible experience, the Doctor did not wait for the medication to take affect and I felt and remember everything. I almost jumped off the bed, not to mention the doctor left quickly after , since I was the last patient.
