I have been dreading getting my wisdom teeth out for years. I was probably told 10 years ago that I needed to get them removed. I was terrified though since I had really bad oral surgery experience as a child. Well this year they started bothering me so much I couldnt put it off any longer. I was devastated to find out the my dentist that I have been seeing for years and trusted was out of my insurance network and it would be pretty costly to go through him. So I got a list from my insurance company and Jolly Caplash was one of the options. Having no idea who to pick off this list I started asking around and Dr. Caplash was literally recommended by everyone I asked. Yesterday when it was finally time for my surgery I was on the brink of a panic attack walking in their office. This was the most major procedure Ive ever had done and had never been knocked out before. The nurse was so kind and calmed me down immediately by offering to give me laughing gas before they even gave me the IV. I literally remember nothing after that. I just know I ended back on my couch comfortably at home. I woke up today and Im still barely in any pain. Havent taken anything more than ibuprofen and Aleive. I also received a very nice call from Dr. Caplash last night to check up on me. Had I known it would be this easy I would have taken care of this a long time ago. Thank you so much to Dr. Caplash and everyone at Rochester Oral Surgerh for making this experience a breeze and far exceeding my expectations!!
Very happy to have come here for a wisdom tooth removal. Woke up the next day with zero pain and zero swelling. Didn’t even feel like anything happened. Great team and would recommend to everyone.
Let me make it clear that Dr Caplash was great. His office, however, leaves much to be desired. They say theyll get back to you but never do. I called on Aug 7th but they never returned my call. When I called today after receiving the same bill(with interest applied), they said Do you want me to have them get back to you? My answer of course was no since Ive already waited a month for a call back that never came. It was also their responsiblility to give me a predetermination of benefits. Our dentist and all our surgeons offices give us this predetimination of benefits before surgery or any expensive procedures so you know upfront what your responsibility will be. This office did not do that so I didnt know they werent a preferred provider til I got the bill. They also charge late fees during the time you are waiting for a call back which is just plain unfair. I refuse to regularly go to the office and get charged so I can be told that the wound site has not healed from surgery I had last year. Its just bad business.
Dr Caplash is the best oral surgeon around. He is incredibly knowledgeable and just as personable! There isn’t another oral surgeon I would trust more for my kids!
I had a great experience with Dr. Krzemien and everyone in the Rochester Oral Surgery group. They came highly recommended to me and I am going tell all everyone how great they are.
Very good. Nice people who put you at ease. Recommending to my friends and family.

2021-03-19I feel like I need to write a review for others who might be in my same boat. I have been putting off getting my wisdom teeth removed for years. Finally, I was tired of them bothering me and decided to give Rochester Oral Surgery a call after several people had referred me to them. I scheduled the surgery with Dr. Caplash and finally had the surgery just two days ago. Let me just say, if you are hesitant, just do it!! This was the first surgery I have ever had, first time being sedated and I was beyond nervous but all the staff made me feel incredibly comfortable and at ease, and the surgery was so quick and easy. Although the recovery is different for everyone, I have had VERY minimal swelling and almost no pain, not to mention I don’t remember a single thing from the surgery, just remember taking a great nap. So thank you Rochester Oral Surgery for making my experience totally worth it, I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family.

2019-09-16Dr. Caplash makes his patients feel at ease and truly cares about their recovery and well-being. I was dreading getting my wisdom teeth removed for years as Ive heard many horror stories and havent had surgery of any kind before. I was so surprised at how quick, painless, and easy it was. Everyone apart of the office staff is also super friendly and helpful. Dr. Caplash, the nurses, and administrative staff made me feel amazingly comfortable before and after my surgery and I would absolutely recommend them for any of your oral surgery needs!

2021-07-08In my opinion, Dr. Caplash is the best Oral Surgeon in this area. He is extremely competent and one of the nicest Doctors that I work with. He came in early on the first day after vacation to resolve an emergency I had. I couldnt get a referral because my regular dentist was out of town, but Dr. Caplash and staff got me in anyway. The service is pricey and they arent in network, but the care will be the best you can get and is well worth the bill.

2021-05-24My boyfriend had four wisdom teeth removed with IV sedation April 2021. Procedure went great and recovered better than I would have imagined. Dr Caplash was wonderful. The bad part was when we got an additional bill we werent expecting for the procedure. Luckily we have the money to pay it but it was another $500 when we were told it would only be $300, so $800 total. Thats a big difference. We called and were told that a predetermination of benefits was not done. Make sure they do a predetermination for you so you are not blindsided. In our case, IV sedation was not covered. The office just assumed that it would be covered. I was very surprised that a predetermination wasnt done because Ive never had a dental procedure where it wasnt done ahead so you can plan for the expense. Buyer beware! Thanks for your time

2019-09-18My teenage daughter had to get her wisdom teeth removed due to crowding. She had her 4 wisdom teeth removed on a Saturday and she was perfectly fine next day morning. Dr. Caplash made her and us parents feel very comfortable and did an amazing job!! He even called in the evening to check on her. Dr. Caplash and his staff were so nice to accommodate her at a short notice!!

2017-07-21I had to have all four wisdom teeth removed, and there is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Caplash and his staff are the best out there! Family members recommended this practice, so my parents and I traveled all the way from New Jersey to have this procedure done. I had to go in on a Sunday morning; the staff made sure that I got the best treatment possible! Angela and Bernadette (nurses) were very friendly, and they made me feel comfortable and at home. Dr. Caplash had a very gentle hand, and I couldnt feel a thing when I woke up. The doctor and his staff are very dedicated to making people feel like family and passionate about what they do. I highly recommend Rochester Oral Surgery to anyone who needs to have any procedures done, they will make sure you have the best experience possible.

2020-06-05I just recently had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Krzemien and he was amazing he’s such a great guy!! The office was so polite and made me so feel comfortable. Even my surgical assistant Angela Delgado was amazing as well and comforted me when I was getting nervous. I highly recommend this oral surgery place for getting your wisdom teeth taken out👍🏻🙂

2018-02-15Dr. Caplash removed all four of my daughters wisdom teeth today. My daughter had an issue with the nitrous oxide and it was immediately resolved. The attending nurse and Dr. Caplash were very attentive to her needs and took immediate action. My older daughter had her wisdom teeth removed over the summer by a different oral surgeon and had a terrible experience. The nurse and Dr. disregarded my daughters compalints of feeling the procedure and continued on, using only nitrous oxide. My daughter cried during the entire procedure and then had post surgery isssues and her calls were not returned. I wish that I had Dr. Caplash remove her teeth as well, the entire practice was professional and attentive to my daughters needs. I have already shared his name with peers.

2019-01-18I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was in college. I am now almost 32 years old, the surgery was fast, i have had no complications since then. I am a diabetic and had some complications with one of the medicines he had originally prescribed, he had given my mom his direct cell after the procedure so that i may call him just encase anything with my diabetes was related. I called, he answered, he was clearly busy at home but took the time for me to talk. It meant a lot to me, especially with how fast he changed the medication so that i could pick up, with ease, almost immediately. Im sure he would still practice this today. Would recommend going to him for any kind of oral surgery.

2017-05-23I came in and the doctor was able to give me a full list of options for how I can approach having my wisdom teeth removed (or not removed). He was knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had, as well as reassure me that he was there to give options for ME to choose from and help me in any way he could. In the end I got IV sedation and had the tooth extracted. The assistant was able to comfort me before the procedure. I dont remeber a thing! Two days after the procedure and I felt great, I didnt even need any pain medication. The surgeon called me to checkup and gave me a cellphone number to reach him at if I ran into any issues. I never imagined in a million years having a tooth removed could be so easy and pain free.I cant imagine how any of the staff could have been more helpful! Highly recommend!
