So glad I signed up at Rock Fitness. From the trainers to the weekend Manager - Alex K - everyone is so helpful no matter your fitness level. They have lots of varied equipment to work out on. I look forward to my training sessions. To top it off, this gym is very clean, well kept and conveniently located.
Amazing Gym! All the staff are very professional and very friendly. The juice bar is really good after a workout. Pete the manager is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable with certain workouts. This gym is definitely worth to sign up to. Lots of machines and space to workout!
Since joining last January, my experience at the Rock has been great. The gym is large and clean and has a laid back “no pressure “ vibe making it a comfortable place for people of all levels to workout. They also offer classes like Hiit and Boxing for those seeking a different type of workout. And in addition, their staff is awesome, always friendly and helpful to me. I highly recommend.
I have been going to the Rock for the past 6 months. I appreciate the wide range of people who go there as its not all bodybuilders; but many average joes, making it a welcoming and non-pretentious place to go.The gym is pretty new as they moved from across the street, so all the equipment is new in perfect condition. There is always people walking around re-racking, cleaning, and making sure everything is stocked. As far as the staff and trainers, i have always had good interactions with them. I do have a personal trainer Adi who I feel is highly qualified in his abilities to push me to where I want to be. In talking with others, it seems as others like their trainers as well.Is it packed? As you would expect early morning and late night does have a lot of people, however its not too crowded that you have to wait for a machine. If you do, people are really considerate and you wouldnt have to wait for long. For a local gym pricing is reasonable for the amount of equipment they have. However, for the price, location, and quality of equipment if you take advantage of working out, its worth the price.I am looking forward to the juice bar they will be opening up as this would be a great addition to for getting that quick protein shake.
I really like this gym, I feel like everyone is respectful and just doing their thing and the overall cleanliness of the gym is exceptional and the staff is really nice (especially the girls at the cafe). I wish that there could be more perks and amenities for members though, I was paying way less at my former gym and they had saunas which really helped with my post workout recovery and even stress levels. I wish we could utilize one or more of the following; saunas, massages, tanning, member discount at the cafes, etc. I feel like a lot of people would be way more satisfied as members this way. I really also wish there was more diversity in the environment. The staff and instagram page lacks diversity and only consist of fairer skinned color people with the exception of one of the boxing coaches, I dont really want to nit pick but its kind of hard to feel inclusive when things like this are noticeable, just food for thought.
The facility is actually state of the art. Lighting, colors, interior design, machines, TVs, the details, is it very well executed. When you sign up, cancellation policy and pricing is clearly written. Front desk is friendly at walking in, and the culture of the people that gore there is respectful, fitness driven, and a sense of community. So far, exceptional experience.
DO NOT SIGN UP! They will never let you cancel!!!The gym itself has good equipment but get very crowded most of the time. However, the way the staff treats you after you decide to cancel is very unprofessional. Cancelling the membership is almost impossible, I submitted the cancellation request via email and they confirmed they would cancel it. They never cancelled but had my membership open without my knowledge. Now, they sent me a bill of couple hundred dollars for a membership I thought had been cancelled based on their email confirmation, they also charged late fees without my knowledge. I tried to get in touch with the manager (Dora) and asked for records of my membership and Dora said they could not email me those but I have to go in person to obtain them. When I went in person, they told me the manager doesnt work on Saturdays so I should go there 9-5pm Mon-Fri (I have a job which I cannot leave during office hours). They never reached out to clarify the charges and now they have a debt collections agency reaching out to me to pay the dues??? I have never seen a business be so unprofessional, not communicating with customers. Cancelling a gym membership should be as easy as 1,2,3 and emailing records is the norm in every industry. Think twice before signing a contract with them because they will make it impossible for you to cancel your membership and will send you debt collection agencies for dues that you are not responsible to pay.
Rock was great at the end of the second wave of the pandemic shortly after their reopening. Crowdedness was kept to a minimum, cleaning supplies were constantly stocked, equipment was excellent.Since then, the gym has been steadily rising in membership. With that rise in membership has come a huge increase in crowdedness, significant degradation of the machines and a 50/50 shot that paper towels and sanitizer hasnt been restocked.Pads on many of the machines are worn out to the point of cracking, a couple machines i regularly use are unsteady or creaky. If you come in after a 9-5, youre basically rolling the dice on whether youll need to wait for a bench.I hesitated giving this 1 star since the staff are phenomenal and its not their fault that membership has ballooned but its been rough of late.
I’ve been a member of the Rock and now Rock Fitness since it was opened many protein shakes ago. Dora and staff including its trainers are not only knowledgeable about fitness but make sure it’s members feel like the gym is a place to feel good about oneself by giving a hello or warm welcome. The equipment is up to date and clean and the new facility even provides a coffee/juice bar in the front. By being spread out among two floors working out feels like having two gyms in one. The gym even pumps out a fresh almost resort like scent thru it’s HVAC system. I feel like my experiences here have been great and I would definitely recommend this gym over any other in the area because of cleanliness, up to date equipment, friendly staff and cost for its amenities.
The worst gym I have ever been!If I could give a 0 star I would definetely choose that. They ask your sign without showing terms and conditions and after signing they send an email with a terrible contract. And I am not the only one saying that, you can go through other reviews to confirm! The worst part is their communication, rude and prepotent.I asked to cancel my membership according their rules, and they charged me a maintanig yearly fee just for 2 months being there. My husband tried to go there instead of me, because it is still being paid and guess what? They say that even why you are paying the only person that can use the gym is me!If you don’t want to trash your money, please dont go there. A gym must be a community not a robber!Worst! Worst! Worst!
The Rock Fitness is Amazing, it met all my expectations!!!!! The staff is always on point, the gym equipment is top notch. Besides all the beautiful people and awesome music its clean and has a great vibe. I highly recommend the Rock Fitness DONT STOP GET IT GET IT PARTY PPL HALLA @ur BOYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
I waited at least 6 months before writing this review. I was with this gym for 7 years at the former location across the street and stayed on for 7 months despite the downgrades when they moved. I have never encountered such devious and selfish managers. I have never experienced such miserable management in a customer facing establishment. I haven’t missed this place a single moment since I left. If you have any choice but this gym, take it. Don’t invest in an ego first establishment. Seriously.
Lived in Astoria for more than 20+ years Im mean Im a young bull and I remember when it was across the street but then they moved around the corner next to where the Starbucks used to be now its Krispy Kreme s anyways its a nice spot definitely looks like a futuristic type of environment like on some new retro styled place got a DJ that comes through with the tunes two-levels upstairs is smaller though then the basement ohh and dont forget the Muay Thai bags they were built to be kicked and thats exactly the what I need to get that stress off but as far as price goes you pay for what you get and it definitely isnt cheap but its worth being around a better class of people then a blink or planet fitness people who actually shell out a little more to be in a better environment and they do include showers and some sort of sauna I think 🤔 near the bags but I never asked. Other than that awesome facility.
So much for Cancel AnytimeDora the explora should explora her attitude. You sign up and pay more each month for sleazy word marketing. Thats all it is. You are misguided into thinking you can cancel anytime but required to pay for the next 2 months. You can understand the amount of attitude that management has by simply reading the reply they left for Pedro Behrans who stated very simply, the same things in this review.Discrediting their brand and trying to steal 2 extra months of payments from people is pathetic.Would recommend finding and paying for a better gym.Lets see what management is going to reply to this one. Either a bland corporate sorry your upset contact us here or an actual reply to the numerous complaints on their misguided policy.
Place is amazing. What a way to start the day by getting a good work out in. First of all, when you walk in you are greeted by TJ and Dora. Always professional, courteous, and smiling. The gym is state of the art with two floors of amazing and updated weights and machines. Great vibe and always pumping good tunes to get you in the right mind set. Strongly recommend this place.
Great gym, new location is beautiful. Great staff, members are friendly. Gym is big and always clean. Wish the new location had saunas but I get it with all the Covid rules, still have showers if need be. A few class options if that’s your thing. Probably the best gym in queens- in my opinion!
Tried cancelling my membership today. And as all reviews mentioned, the rock fitness makes it extremely difficult, better words are that they give you an extremely hard time.I signed a month to month contract to avoid getting into a yearly contract and any clauses that come with that. The guy at the counter brought up a 60 day clause that obviously wasn’t told to me or I may have missed. What’s the point of signing up month to month if you still want people to keep paying you, and you bind them for 60 days? 30 days is understandable. On top of my frustration the employee at the counter was giving me attitude because I was frustrated with this situation. I had some respect for these guys because of their clean and rather large space but I’ve lost all of that for their lack of customer service and extremely poor employee training. I don’t think my landlord or banks would require as many proofs of why i want to end their services with me.I recommend people to stay away. Your fitness goals can be reached at better places.
Rock is a great gym in northern Astoria, super close to Ditmars and Astoria BLVD. It’s facilities are large, open, and well lit. The staff welcomes you with a smile and knows you by name. There’s also a great vibe and mutual respect between all members! I definitely recommend.
I have been a member at the Rock for a few months now, and my time there has been incredible. Before Covid, I never went to the gym, and I had no idea what I was doing. Now I see Frank once a week and he has been an outstanding mentor to me. He is flexible with my schedule, always giving me a positive attitude, never pressures me like the stereotypical gym trainer. I feel safe with him and now I’m referring my friends and family to him! Frank is my trainer but everyone one else, like Audi, are great. You can’t go wrong with whoever you find.Dora, TJ, Jeff, and all the other front staff members are friendly faces who welcome me as i walk in and wish me well once I leave. The Rock has so many devices, not just gym equipment. I was able to get my weight taken and learn my body fat %. Now my brother and I have competition on who can get a lower % and it has been a healthy competition that pushes us to our best selves. However this beautiful new bakery might ruin that lol i guess it’s time to bulk💪🏽Thank you Rock, you’re not just my gym but my 2nd home💛🖤
So today I met with Peter, the Operations Director after a few emails back and fourth and I was absolutely sold. My girlfriend and I signed up on site and we are super excited to start our fitness journey at Rock Fitness.I spent a lot of time going back and forth over the cost and reading all the reviews here but I advise strongly you go and meet with Peter and see it for yourself. After touring the facility it was clear that you get what you pay for and all of the equipment is top notch and even the gym layout itself is super well thought out.A lot of the complaints you’ll see here are the result of folks who don’t read the rules or care to abide by them. I actually asked Peter about several of the cases to allow him to share his side of the story and while I can understand folks frustration in certain circumstances, I can also understand the gyms perspective, so please take them with a grain of salt and as with all things, really read the contract and ask the questions and make sure you completely understand the terms you’re agreeing to.As someone who has had memberships with NYSC and Planet Fitness as well as NYC Rec centers, I can say that the Rock contracts are much more clear and the environment far better than any of my previous fitness centers.Looking forward to getting fit this winter!
They moved across the street and the gym looks phenomenal. They have arsenal equipment, power bars, specialty bars and alot of beautiful machine/cardio machines. My only Gripe with this place is how off putting the Manager Dora is, she comes off very rude and nasty to the point where I didnt want to renew my gym membership. Luckily the assistant managers friendliness and willingness to answer my questions while being very knowledgeable about the equipment kept me here. If youre going to run a state of the art gym, have some quality people who actually has a understanding about fitness instead of someone who has High school Mean girl qualities and will dismiss you like if the members do not matter (unless youre one of her favorites). Overall the rest of the front desk staff are friendly, the trainers are great and the facility itself is just one of a kind, especially having the only belt squat machine in Queens.
I’ve been going to the rock since before the new location and the gym only gets better! The staff is super friendly and always willing to help which is awesome. Not once have I ever felt intimidated to go workout. The space is clean, super organized and has so much variety with the machines. They do great handling the Covid restrictions and the gym feels like a safe space. Worth every penny to go to this gym. I personally believe they are the best in Astoria.
Ive been to different gyms in the past but Rock Fitness is definitely my favorite of all. The new location is getting better everyday. The staff are professional, friendly but not too pushy. The equipment is everything I want and need. The space is adequate and clean, and I feel safe working out during the pandemic. Kudos to the staff.
The rock was always a good gym with a variety of equipment to workout with. Now this new location is even better with new machines available and always clean. The staff takes very serious to maintain the gym clean and the use of social distance. The managers are always good at communicating with members and there to help you out with anything that you need with your membership. The front desk staff is always so friendly, nice and attentive.
I had a great experience at the rock i came in for a tour with Dora and she showed me around the facility she was amazing and I instantly signed up because I felt comfortable !!! The gym is very clean and has brand new machines and everyone follows safety protocols and wears masks. There are sanitizing stations located in all areas of the gym and i feel safe working out there. Out of all the gyms I have been to this is by far the best one in my community .
The Rock really stepped it up with the new facility. The new machines are fire. The gym is always clean the cleaning staff are always on point wiping down everything. The morning and night staff are always on point. So friendly and professional never had an issue with anyone. I highly recommend. 💪🏻🔥
All staff is catering, friendly, and do what they can to make the gym comfortable for you. Whether it’s a warm welcome from staff up front (Sam, Alex, Jeff, Joe, Pete, and so many others) or a hello from Edison/Evelyn on the floor, you feel welcome (Yes, they’re that personable you know their names!) Music is good, floor is always clean, and the gym in general has a great variety of machines/space to work with. Grateful for this place 🙌🏻
The Rock Fitness has moved to its new street level location. Wow, ... they did an amazing job. The Rock has made me feel comfortable in my own skin. The trainers are very understanding, attentive, patient, informative and a pleasure to work out with. This gym has all brand new state of the art equipment, a Very comfortable environment and an amazing staff! If you are looking for a neighborhood gym with an awesome vibe and good energy....then this is the place to look into. I highly recommend it!
Place didnt let me cancel and sent me to collections even though I emailed and called and went in person trying to cancel. There was no miscommunication, I canceled the gym membership after my term was over but they kept saying I have to cancel it a certain way so they re enrolled me for another year without my permission then sent me to collections for the months I wasnt even going to the gym for. Place is a scam
You couldn’t ask for more out of a gym. First of all, it’s ALWAYS clean and staff are constantly wiping things down and making sure it’s good to go. The equipment is top of the line and there’s plenty of it—no waiting! And by far, the best part is the staff. They are friendly, super knowledgeable and professional. Personal training routines are an amazing option and focus on growth and goals. Can’t say enough about this fabulous place!
Best gym!! Due to top tier management - I love everything about it from the employees to the members, 2 spacious floors filled with state-of-the-art equipment, hip and clean environment! There’s sanitizer stations along with wipes to wipe down equipment before and after use. The cleaning staff walks around wiping down as well to ensure it’s sparkling clean. Masks are enforced. Also, if you forget your headphones, it’s okay because they have a killer playlist! You’ll know the difference when you join!
My mom was treated in a very disrespectful way and she didn´t know how to defend herself BECAUSE SHE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH. (VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY ARE ARROGANT)I wouldn´t recommend this gym. I complained about it on the phone and i was very upset, his answer was I think we have a very good service. Then i go in person to tell them i didnt want to be in this gym anymore because i did not feel good there and i recieve the following comments: I don´t know why you feel that wayI think we have a good serviceThats not how it happened so i don´t know why are you telling thatWhen i ask to talk to someone else he answered I don´t think the other person will treat you as smooth as im treating youI called to my superior and she said that´s not how things happenedIf you don´t pay a colector will Basically they treat me as a liar and the worst is i felt so sad i cried in front of him and i dont know if he was like laugthing because he was nervous or he was laughting at me....
Coming to Rock fitness is the highlight of my day! Staff is always so Awesome, friendly and helpful . Machines are always on point and working. A modern fun gym in Astoria was definitely needed. And oh!! How can I forget those neon lights that says fit fierce fabulous is my motivation!!
Exercising regularly, and every day is very important to me.Ive been to different gyms in the past but Rock Fitness is definitely my favorite by far . The new location is fire . The staff are professional, and friendly .The equipment is amazing. The space is clean, and I feel safe working out during this pandemic .Thank you guys you are awesome!
Gym facilities are pretty good and clean. Poor customer service in regards of cancellation particular from management. One of the managers Dora, she was really rude and she was trying to get me to pay extra because of the cancelation of the membership. Good thing that I work in sales and I know how it works. I was very disappointing with her service
Joined this gym about a month ago and absolutely cannot be happier. I’ve gone to many other commercial gyms and this one stands out in a number of ways:1. Cleanliness - staff is ALWAYS cleaning, and are great about temp checks and all that2. Staff friendliness - top notch3. Amount of equipment - rarely if ever have to wait on a piece of equipment, and I am usually at the gym during peak hours4. Space - tons and tons of space, so you’re not too crowded around other gym goersYou get what you pay for with this gym, and I can honestly say it’s 100% worth it.
Just moved to town a few months ago and Rock Fitness has been amazing in its new, clean, spread out location. Even in its busiest times, the staff have kept things clean and sanitized and everyone is masked up. I feel completely safe to exercise there and appreciate all the hard work they are putting in to help me continue feeling great in these hard times!
So far I have been enjoying my time at this gym. The equipment is good, and they constantly keep updating it, which is a sign that the management cares about the feedback they receive from customers. This is also reflected in their music selection for the lower level. When they first opened, they played exclusively club music, and it was absolutely impossible to work out. I would always leave the place with a massive headache. They thankfully switched the tunes to classic rock, which always gets you pumped for a good lifting session.
The Rock Gym is amazing ! It’s very clean ! All the equipment is basically new and there staff is great on helping you take care of all your work out needs and question regarding any type of training ! Just ask for Dora who basically runs the gym and you’ll never be let down ! She’s great and make sure all members are always taken care of !
This gym promotes a ‘Cancel Anytime’ membership, but you will keep paying them after you cancel. My job and nomad lifestyle have given me the privilege of living in six cities in the last decade. With fitness being such an important part of my life, I always look for a gym that supports my journey in a 360 way and the Rock seemed to be a good fit.I joined Rock Fitness when I moved to New York in 2017. I was a fan of the place since I walked in. Over the years, I personally referred a few people, promoted in my social media and widely recommended it to every new neighbor I met. I was even interested in participating in their school program and working with them as a personal trainer.I changed my rating from 4 to 1 based on the management of the exit process. If you signed up to this gym thinking you can cancel anytime, I have bad news for you.A few months after joining, I left a 4-star review in this very page that I am now editing, expressing my satisfaction with their center and my skepticism to their cancellation policies, based on other reviews I had read at the time. However, I was not too concerned because I one of the crew members said my membership would go on a month-to-month basis after I complied with my yearly contract. The gym changed locations at the end of 2020. Rock Fitness re-launched and their marketing campaign was based in three key pillars: “No Long-Term Contracts”; “No hidden fees’; and “Cancel Anytime” - as it was sent by Rock’s CEO.In January of this year, I started the process of moving states because of work. In a matter of three weeks, I packed my life in New York and one week before my flight to Texas, I decided to cancel my membership before the end of the month. With the information I had, I did not expect what happened after. The receptionist started explaining that I needed to submit proof that I was moving more than 30 miles away from the location to make the cancelation effective. If I couldn’t provide her with proof, the only thing she could do for me was put in a request for cancellation, that would have been effective in March. Of course, I did not have any of this available. In fewer words, I was being forced to pay two months of membership I was not going to use. So much for “Cancel Anytime”.The manager repeated the receptionist’s words and put in the request for cancelation. February started and I noticed I was charged for the month, so I disputed the charge with my bank. Towards the end of the month, I was able to send proof of my new address to Peter, their Operations Director and took the liberty to tell him how I felt about their gaps in their policies, staff training and misleading marketing. When I challenged their ‘Cancel Anytime’ marketing against their own cancellation policies, they argued they were executing the agreement I signed. Which agreement? I ask myself - The one that I complied on my first year or the one that I didn’t need because there were “No Long-Term contracts” when the gym re-launched?The “Cancel Anytime” is actually a “Cancel anytime by providing the needed notice”, something that is not noted anywhere, as Peter said. Now, it’s the middle of the year and I’m being harassed by a collection company that acts on behalf of Rock Fitness, collecting a monthly payment plus other fees they said they were not going to charge, grounded in a long-term agreement that was not supposed to exist - at least that’s how they advertised. This situation makes me feel I am trapped in a scam, and that Rock Fitness is stealing money from me.I encourage senior management to look at their cancellation policies and soft skills of their management. I challenge them to properly re-train their floor staff, especially managers, so they can better approach and educate members when discussing the cancellation processes and to promote campaigns that are not deceiving, and truly align with your club policies.Listen to your clients. Looking through all the 1-stars, it appears to be the common theme.
Why does gyms give you such a hard time every time you need to cancel your membership? If you are not satisfied, need to move or simply cannot afford it anymore, you have the right to cancel. At anytime! I don’t need to send you bills to prove that I moved; I don’t need to explain my life decisions. There’s no need to explain the struggles or decisions in our life to a careless front desk employee that wants you to send documentation to the “gym director”, that couldn’t care less if I have spend months over months without showing up, but now that I need to cancel, I’m suddenly a customer. This place and front desk employees needs mental training. But if you’re reading this, I recommend you to take your money elsewhere. You WILL face problems sooner or later with this management. Thank you.
I’ve been a member of 5 different gyms around the Astoria area in the past 7-8 years and I must say the Rock Fitness gym is the best . Not just they have the best machines , theyre the Cleanest and most customer friendly facility Ive been to. I highly recommend this gym to people of all ages , their training staff does an Outstanding job as well .-Robert C Yopp*Highly Recommended
Just had a tour of the new Rock Fitness and is the best facility around. This new location is amazing from the staff, to the equipment, to the facility itself. From the ownership, to management, to the trainers, by far the nicest and most knowledgeable staff . I am certainly satisfied thus far and have been blown away by my experience at this new facility. Highly recommend.
Rock Fitness is one of the most elite gyms in Astoria!! All brand new state of the art fitness equipment and some great personal training sessions. Also, the staff is amazing! So friendly and really wanting to help everyone. I walked in and was def lead in the right direction. No crazy hidden fees or long term commitments! They are currently under new management. Reach out to the one coach Sean! He has helped me out a ton so far. He knows how to really help you achieve and take the right steps towards your goals. This is def a place I can call MY NEW HOME!
Ive been a member for over a decade, and the new gym location is fantastic, clean, and well-maintained. The staff are always friendly and helpful. This gym is always about locals getting their fitness on, and this is the place to do it. I highly recommend checking out the personal training options to break-up your old routine; the trainer Sean is a master at targeting weak areas for challenging growth.
I have been coming to The Rock gym for many years. It was always my favorite gym (I have tried them all) and it always met my standards.I was excited to hear they would be expanding to two floors at a brand new facility across the street from the original. The convenience couldnt have been more perfect. At the grand opening I was blown away with every square inch, amenities and attention to detail that went into the new facility. They gave us two floors of brand new, state of the art equipment (some of which I have never seen before) more fitness accessories than you can imagine, a meticulously thought out floor plan that can accommodate a power lifter, a yoga lover and a person looking to HIIT. The management is top tier, the front desk staff and floor staff always say hello as do the owners who make it a point to make you feel welcome. In the covid era, the machines are reasonably spaced apart, cleaned consistently by members and the wonderful cleaning staff. This is not your ordinary gym, it is a community. Zero attitude, 101% love!
The new gym is amazing. The machines are all updated and I feel especially safe with the staff’s routine wiping and cleaning of machines. The trainers are welcoming, professional and fun to work with.Already noticing improvements physically and mentally...much needed during these times.Shoutout to Sean, Gina and Tim!
Rock Fitness is taking your typical gym to the next level!! This state of the art facility was designed to bring a heightened sense of health awareness to the community even during challenging times. Rock is taking all safety measures to ensure that you are safe while focusing on your overall health and well being. I’m impressed by the staff and look forward to leveraging their personal training offering as we approach the new year. I highly recommend checking Rock Fitness out and signing up!!
I can’t say enough great things about The Rock, their staff, and the top of the line equipment the new location offers. You can train however you like to train; from kettlebells and battle ropes to foam rollers and Muay Thai heavy bags they have everything you’ll need. Great music, and you can tell they seriously prioritize keeping everything extra clean, well maintained and “COVID safe”; they even have wet wipes and spray bottles everywhere for us to use. I live in The Bronx, but this gym is well worth it! I definitely suggest stopping by and touring the new facility!
I came here for a single day with a couple of friends to workout (25$ fee), which requires you to leave your drivers license at the front desk. During our time there, I showed my friends a few workouts that I usually perform at my respective gym. As I was leaving the gym, my license was held hostage as an employee harangued me on the ethics of personal training at gyms. Theres a big difference between showing your friends workouts and personal training (Especially considering the fact that Im not a personal trainer). I wonder if these two friends of mine, who are women, were men, if this confrontation would have happened at all.
If you are looking for a really clean gym this is it ! The gym has everything you need, just recently updated as well. Squat racks, smith machines, rowing machines, assault bikes just absolutely fantastic. This gym is for everyone, from cardio machines and stretching areas to punching bags, from weightlifting to CrossFit equipment. Amazing gym, great environment and people are actually respectful. A must if you are looking for a gym in Astoria !
TL;dr: an absolute gem of a gym. Brand new and worth a visit.Once it started getting significantly colder, I started needing to have a gym to exercise in again. Rock Fitness has been amazing so far!Couple of the pros that stand out:-Great overall layout. First floor has most of your typical gym equipment and cardio machines, a friendlier commercial vibe. Basement floor has a lot of the weights and more of a garage gym/athletes gym vibe.-Ton of fun equipment (turf area with battle ropes and sleds. As well as a designated area with assault bikes and racks with chains. Lot of stuff that doesnt exist in most commercial gyms. Heavy bag)-Brand new equipment-Extremely clean-on gym pass, so you can get a great discount!Overall, Ive been thoroughly impressed. I was skeptical about the $80 a month price tag, but now that Ive attended a couple times, I love the overall vibe of the gym and its kept me motivated to keep going.
I’m having the worst experience ever, I signed up with this gym and a month later I lost my job due to Covid. I emailed them that I want to cancel and explained what happened and also I had to move because I can’t afford the rent. But they kept asking me for payment( even though I didn’t use the facility) and now they send me to collections for what this people has 0 humanity. I’m going to sue them for the distress they caused me. I didn’t read the contract that I signed please be aware of there scam even if you cancel you still have to pay
Best Gym in the Ditmars part of Astoria to get a solid workout in. No other gym is as clean and affordable. The gym has all new equipment and you can do any workout imaginable. From crossfit style workouts, to HIIT, to power lifting, and for the runners who want to get an indoor run, this gym will not let you down. I have been a member for 2 years and trained in their old facility. Also, customer service and loyalty is unmatched. Trust me when I say, their new facility will blow every other gym out of the water in Astoria!
The Rock is an amazing facility! The staff, the equipment, and the overall atmosphere of training there is world class. It has to be the cleanest gym I have ever seen and that’s another testament to the staff and their ability to keep everyone safe from COVID while allowing us to train. Top tier facility.
They advertise special rates for “educators”; however, they’ll only offer it to NYC DOE employees. This is not clearly communicated on their website or advertisements, and a bit frustrating from someone who has been working in special education for over a decade. I’ll be bringing my business elsewhere.
Great gym and the new location is amazing and worth the wait. 4 Star for the new location missing the sauna/steam rooms compared with the old location. Understood that such amenities are not really for COVID times, but wonder if there are plans to install them once we are back to normal.
Looking for a new gym to help you achieve your fitness goals? Rock Fitness is where it’s at. This brand new facility has a variety of machines for cardio, strength and the like. There’s more than enough equipment including, but not limited to dumbbells, kettle bells, resistance bands and medicine balls. If you’re not familiar to the gym environment, or are thinking about trying personal training, I can confidently recommend their fitness professionals. Sean, the head personal trainer, is a top of the line educator, who is extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about helping you reach your fitness goals. He is very friendly, non-intimidating, and great at keeping sessions engaging, while building your confidence. This is a great place to start, or if you have experience, enhance your skills as an athlete.Lastly, but certainly not the least, Rock Fitness is CLEAN!!! They take many precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by supplying sanitizer, wipes and disinfectants throughout the facility. Their staff is routinely wiping down machines, floors, bathrooms and masks are a must here. Social distancing, temperatures and waivers are also standard. Thank you Rock Fitness team for keeping patrons safe and for being such a welcoming community!
My wife caught me doing lawnmower pulls with the milk jug and said enough is enough! True story haha. I promise it was only my second time doing this.So I found myself back at the rock in Astoria. Or should I say “the gem” as I have so eloquently renamed it. It used to be a good place in town, but it has definitely now set itself apart from the rest. The covid precautions taken here make me feel super comfortable. The staff was amazing. Knowledgeable and nice. Obviously, for a new gym, they are probably making their best impression early on, but it was really too good of an experience not to pass along publicly. I’ll tell my wife to use the milk under her own discretion once again 😂.
The new gym is incredible. I happened to go for the grand opening and received a tour and was shocked. I loved the old location but this new place just across the street is spectacular. All brand equipment from top companies. So much has gone into the new location and you can clearly see it. Really looking forward to getting back there this week.
The perfect upgrade that Astoria Ditmars needed. A brand new, shiny gym with all the bells and whistles. Two floors, fully loaded and with a great staff.COO Dora is in full command and runs a tight ship as she remains flexible and open with the customers and the staff. Leadership skills- 5 stars. Problem solving -- 5 stars. Care--5 stars.I use Adi, trainer extraordinaire. Great on empathy while pushing you up the next level. Knows his stuff---5 stars. Flexible---5 stars. Organized---5 stars. All round nice place. Joe at the front desk is good for a little on my way in humor. And the rest of the team there is welcoming. If anything this local institution reflects why I love living in Astoria. The neighborhood ethos pulls through the daily gym connection. Its a gem.c
I am number 001 the first person who joined the Rock back in the day. This fitness club has and always will be Number One in.my book. The new space is COVID SAFE AND EXTREMELY CLEAN.AS a physical education teacher for thirty years this establishment is top notch. The new facility is fantastic staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this facility.
One of the nicest gym in Astoria 24/5 a week. The staff are very helpful feels like a family, and when you go talk to them give you a perfect smile 😊 . If any machine broke down they fix it right away, and if send them any email to them. The general manager Dora answered very quick by herself. I remember when I was going to do the contract with them one of the assistant told me all the terms and conditions very clearly and I agreed for it, but I prefer if they work on this terms and conditions because looks like a lot of people don’t like it.Thanks for all the nice service you have done it with me guys,Special thanks for Dora, & Peter
Best gym I’ve been to in NYC. They have equipment for all kinds of workouts here, whether you’re into powerlifting, bodybuilding, crossfit/hiit, , cardio, or even sport specific workouts on their indoor turf. There’s plenty of space for members to spread out, everything is clean and well maintained. It’s well worth the price and I don’t think I’ll ever change gyms as long as I’m living in NY
Ive been going to this gym for a few years. Since they reopened after the pandemic shut down, theyve really stepped up in putting social distancing rules with tapped out spaces between equipment, increased cleaning and supplies for members to use, mandatory masks, and other precautions. I not only feel safe going there to work out, I feel taken care of. Top drawer!
I just happened upon these reviews last night and I have to say they are grossly inaccurate. Ive been a member of the Rock Health & Fitness Club for about 2 years now and I love it. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. This is not your corporate club. Its locally owned and operated in Astoria and its a very friendly/family environment. Theres child care available while you work out! They just renovated their facility. Theyre open 24 hours/day. The classes they offer are progressive and challenging and this is why they attract great instructors. Im a regular - I go 2 to 3 times a week...and their membership is comparable to NYSC or a gym that has comparable services and amenities. Just thought Id leave a note about my favorite gym in Astoria as I felt the previous google reviews didnt do them justice.
Came here with a friend a couple times and its an all together good gym. Are there things that could be improved upon sure, but most things can be improved upon. Its a solid gym, the equipment seemed clean and up-to-date. Theres a rock climbing wall and a small boxing room. As a rockclimber the wall is hard to use since you needed to have one of them belay you, but nevertheless a nice addition. Its a solid gym if youre living in the neighborhood.
Ive been a member of The Rock for about 5 years now. The gym and locker room are always kept clean. There is plenty of equipment and Ive never had an issue not getting a machine. The classes are great. Instructors Eric, Dorothy, and Helen are awesome. I have worked with personal trainer Navin and he was excellent. I would definitely recommend.
Great gym. Love the machines!! Definitely worth the visit. Tried it out for the first time and I love the different machines they have available to customers. If you want a gym that doesnt get crowded at any given time and is open 24 hours then this is the gym for you. Also a lot of healthy places to eat in the neighborhood. Great location, great people and awesome gym. Check out the rock climbing area. Pretty cool.
Ive been going to this gym for 4 years. Its nothing fancy, but I definitely think its a step above a lot of the other gyms in Astoria. Its always clean and there are always people who work for the gym cleaning up equipment and trying to help organize the clutter that lazy gym members leave behind. The staff is polite for the most part, minus a few grumpy and unfriendly managers, and theres a good amount of classes to choose from, including CrossFit for an additional fee.The saunas and steam room arent often working, but other than that the locker rooms are always well kept. The gym itself has lots equipment for every type of gym goer, and only at super peak hours do you find yourself waiting longer than a few minutes for a machine or set up.
Would be an ok gym, but a) no other options in the area, b) they told us at sign up, you can cancel if you move by showing the new lease. We actually did end up moving 9 months into our contract, and found we couldnt cancel because fine print said it had to be BEYOND 30 MILES!They said there was nothing they can do. Great customer service, right? My wife and i were both customers for 6 months and they treated us like we were nothing. Who tf commutes 30 miles to a gym? Staten island would technically be within 30 miles...We kept our end of the commitment and paid hundreds for nothing, but any business that buries nonsense like this in fine print and fraudulently misleads you, is a friggin SCAM.Hope they go out of business.
I like the staff, though management is very poor and rude. Unsure how she has kept her job but I can guess because she has NO people skills or management skills that I have seen. The gym has a lot of amenities but it is VERY overpriced. All other gyms in Astoria are in the $20-$30 a month range and even in the city some of the gyms are going to this new lower price. I cant get any of my friends to join with me due to the high cost of this gym compared to all others in the area. There are mildew stains in some of the showers. The music is not really very good so you see everyone with their own music. They have a difficult time turning on the fans...(mgmt?) even tho that could be putting some people at risk. The pros are classes are free with membership.
If you read the bad reviews then you will notice that almost none of them are about the club condition - it is near immaculate and there are lots of extras. The complaints are all from members on their last month who didnt read the contract and follow through by canceling in person in writing with a receipt. (Most likely because a front desk worker says not to worry and management does not return calls) . I followed through IN PERSON and IN WRITING and so I had NO PROBLEM. I really enjoyed and miss this gym.
My first impression of this place was not incredibly positive: the staff was sort of rude and pushy, but the gym looked impressive. Its also in an amazing location. So far, I have not attended the classes, but I will say the locker room is kept pretty clean. I wish they had wipes to wipe the machines down when you are done with them as some other gyms do- its kinda gross when you want to use a machine that someone else just sweated on.... Additionally, my first impression is ringing true as I have been a member there for over a month and STILL have not received my membership card (am constantly blown off by staff about it- it will be ready in a few days over and over again.) and when I had a billing issue it took a week and me calling them again to get them to finally get back to me (after I dealt with the woman with attitude on the phone who basically blew me off). The plus side is the location of this gym: you cant beat it. But the downside: the staff are rude. So far, this gym is not rating very high for me. :( Im disappointed.
Never had a good experience at the Rock. Very basic facilities. Paid for a persoal training package and the personal trainer told me it was fine to smoke cigarettes and drink as long as you work out to balance, he was also constantly on his phone or talking to other people at the gym during our sessions. After my 1 year membership ended they continued to charge me for each month, even after my credit card was canceled.
For a first time I walked-in to the new site location.. in Astoria; looks nice, clean with lot of space between two levels. My intention was to get information about the plans and register myself. waa 6:15 AM. about. Two people were at front desk, one young man very professional, ‘name TJ’ who introduced himself and who took my Information and offered give show me the place.Suddenly a lady name ‘Dora’ jumped to his spot asked for more information that really wasn’t necessary since I was not registered yet and order ‘TJ’ the second staf, to do it quickly ! It was 6:15 AM, not busy at all!. She not even sayed ‘hello’, good morning’ ‘ welcome to ... nothing! Very rude! Very.. very uncomfortable feeling! Practically with her attitude she told me.. ‘we don’t want you’.The lady is a suppose manager..?Send her to be educated, because looks like she has no idea how ‘first impression count and how important customers services is in a business’.I felt really intimidated.I run two business ..I am a professional in architecture and for sure, I know, if a have a person like her is part of my staff ..she wouldn’t be there for longer..So .. I said to the second nice guy.. let’s walk quickly ..or I will leave and never return..She.. the suppose manager .. continued with her actitud.Too bad .. for a nice place .. new location ..Definitely .. I am not coming back ! That’s how business loose customers.‘ I expended my value time to write this review because I want the owners read and correct the problem, this is not good for our businesses and neighborhood.’
I went the the gym for almost 3 years until i started being over charged on my account. When I requested to have my account refunded the appropriate amount Dora (the manager) refused. I had to dispute the amount with my credit card company and then they sent my account which was already closed to collections. I highly recommend AVOIDING this gym at any cost possible. After talking to people at my new gym apparently this is a normal business practice at the The Rock as multiple other people mentioned being over charged as well. If you cant have a functioning business without ripping off loyal customers, you should just close your doors! Wish I could give the place zero stars!!
Walk by this gym today and felt the stink of Dora! People avoid this establishment! Please read all reviews before you sign up for this scam! Other people left bad reviews - and it’s all true! The manager Dora is ruining this gym. Unprofessional, rude, has none of customers skills. It’s impossible to talk to the owners because they are always hiding somewhere, or maybe just don’t know how many issues people have with this manager.People constantly getting over charged, getting send to collecting agencies after they done with their contract. This gym doesn’t have first aid kit and ice. If you complain over anything- Dora will revoke illegally your membership based on her personal reasons and put you into collections. Stuff is all scared by Doras moods, they never smile, never happy to work there. Trainers are always changing because of this manager. My husband got hurt by a trainer at this establishment and had to go to Urgent Care and stay off work for a week because of that. Gym didn’t have even one ice cube!My friends left this gym because of this manager. She owes tones of apologizes to people who left the gym because of her being rude and not able to manage! STAY AWAY! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Friendly staff... Towel service... Great showers... Never packed, and allows me to get my job done in reasonable time and get out. Well worth the money, and since all gyms are priced this way. I enjoy working out without the scrutiny of old machines and muscleheads. If you want to work out and get on with your life, this is the place. Cancellation of membership is clearly outlined, and so its only your fault if you dont know how to manage your payments.
It’s a good gym not gonna lie but the only issue is with the contact. PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT.I tried to cancel my membership because I couldn’t afford it anymore and I was told at the front desk that if I wanted to close my membership I would have to pay $200 dollars on the spot and i was upset with that information. Soooo I’m still stuck with this gym amd it’s September 2020 and I was told that information last year around March 2019It’s also doesn’t help that I have a part time job but then let go cuz of COVIDI signed up around December of 2018 and I wanted to close my membership around March of 2019IF YOU WANNA CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP AT THIS GUM JUST REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO PAY $200 IN CASH
Read your contract. Make them give you a copy. Remember if you want to cancel you must do so 60 days prior to your cancellation date and before the 4th of the month. Very easy to feel scammed by this place. A real shame there’s not another gym because this place shouldn’t be in business. Also, it smells like a**.
Do not go to this gym! My husband joined and was happy there, until he got a job and had to move away. He repeatedly tried to cancel his membership. They continue to charge him monthly, and now that he cancelled paying them, they are threatening to go to a collection agency. He has tried to talk to them, nicely, to come up with some plan, they are unreasonable. Please, go somewhere where people in management are approachable when life throws you a curve ball. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS!
Equipment:The gym it self is not bad,3 squat racks/power lifting platforms,1 power rack( really bad quality),3 flat and incline bench press (not great, but they are solid)1 decline bench pressa bunch of machines that are all pretty good, and also some specialty stuff like the a log pressOverall i would say the equipment is like a 4Gym Culture:This isnt a power lifting gym, nor a cross-fit gym, nor a boxing gym, nor Olympic lifting gym, its not even a big global gym. But it tries to be all of it, and fails at all fronts. The gym is poorly managed, and it shows in the culture. The dumbbells are always miss places, very few people know what their doing, the music sucks, and it has a bunch of random areas that are completely useless. For example they have a rock-climbing wall and a boxing studio. Neither of which are well equipped and are a waste of space. They only serve to draw people into buying a member ship, but if your actually serious about rock-climbing youll go to the cliff and if your into boxing youll go to any number of boxing oriented gyms in NYC.Staff:The management have very few people skills and are very off putting. The gym trainers seem knowledgeable but again they have bad people skills are are kind of rude.I have the biggest problem with the cleaning staff as they have **no regard for your safety!!**The gym has a thick rubber floor mat coating the entire gym. This is great, however when these mats get wet, they absorb the water, become a little bit spongy and lose all grip. The problem is that the cleaning staff will mop the floor and make the entire area unusable (for me as a powerlifter). Im not complaining that they mop the floor, i am complaining that they mop the floor WHILE im in the middle of my workout. This happened on more then a few occasions, I would be bench press/power rack resting between sets and the janitor would soak the area in water. I told him that this is unsafe, and asked if use less water, dry the area after words or even just mop when the gym is less crowded (they do it at about 8 - 9 pm). But they he didnt care and continued to do the same thing. The management is very unresponsive to emails.
This gym is the biggest scam Ive ever seen!!! I had the worst experience ever! I have been charged $900 just to cancel my membership. I tried my best to communicate with the staff but it seemed like they have no customer service what soever, even the general manager has said to me: there is nothing I can do you for you.this is the wrong fitness if you are looking for flexibility.
Its a scam... I have a very bad experience with them. When I moved from the area I wanted to cancel the contract because my new place is far from the rock and because in the same time I was sick and my doctor tell me that I have to stop going to gym، so i have 2 reason to cancel the contract. But they didnt accept it and they charged me $700 for 3 months ( Because my contract was 3 months left to be expired ) even though i show them the pepper from my doctor that i cant practice any activity and i have to stop the gym.
The reviews are true, it is a scam project. I tried to cancel and they dont have my cancellation paperwork and keep telling me to call back. Its been over a week now and no one is able to help(or call back). I paid my cancellation fees( including the 30 day final payment) with a different debit card and now theyre charging that card on autopay, without permission and AFTER I CANCELLED!Please dont get into this mess. They have only three stars for a reason, and to be honest, three is too high. Im still in the process of trying to get someone to contact me to refund the money that was taken AFTER I cancelled. A completely unorganized team that runs the gym. The people Ive been dealing with are Maria, Dora, and Peter.Youve been warned!
Affordable with friendly staff. What I dont like is the fact that machines are not super fast repaired, the water machine is not easy to refill your bottle, and that some of the regulars are quite noisy. However it is affordable, open 24 hours for 5 days per week and the staff is friendly.
The actual gym is decent, albeit expensive, and they keep taking away more and more space from the main room with all the machines to make random specialty classes. However, I must **WARN** you that as other reviewers have said, the staff are the most arrogant, and deceitful I have come across in the health club industry to date. There are such shady business practices going on here that they actually train the clueless front desk staff NOT to allow you to speak with upper management. I had been in what I thought was a month to month contract for over 2 years, which I was paying $20-$30 per month more for (almost $100 per month!), than a year long contract would have cost. After being a member for more than 2 years with no payment issues whatsoever, a couple unfortunate circumstances happened which cause me to have to move, and I also could no longer afford the hefty monthly charge.I didnt think it would be a big deal to go in and cancel a membership which I believed to be month to month. WRONG. To my dismay I find out that The Rock wants 2 months notice to cancel a membership I was paying much more for believing it was month to month. So essentially, the minute you sign up for a month to month membership, you will be forced to pay at least 3 months before you can cancel. When I explained my extenuating circumstances to one of the staff members, including where I was moving, I was originally told that if I return with a copy of my lease and some other bill in my name at my new address I could cancel after 1 months notice. Unfortunately this was just told to me verbally. When I returned with the 2 said documents, I was then told that I could not cancel my month-to-month (supposed to be no commitment) membership because I wasnt moving more than 30 miles away. Several more phone calls later, and I was finally told I could cancel after November... paying for a full 2 months that I would not set foot in the gym, and the staff knowing full well my extenuating family and moving circumstances. At this point I was still not given anything in writing that my membership would be cancelled at the end of november. To get in writing that my (let me repeat) month-to-month no commitment membership would be cancelled I had to have an all out shouting match with one of the staff members in the middle of the gym in which I threatened to get my cousin who works for Fox News NYC involved, amongst other things.THE GYM MAY LOOK DECENT, AND UNFORTUNATELY IS ONE OF THE FEW IN THE DITMARS AREA, BUT THEY ARE WAY OVER PRICED, AND TRUST ME THEY WILL PUT YOU THROUGH HELL WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. JUST DONT DO IT TO YOURSELFDont just take my word for it, check out their F rating with The Better Business Bureau. Listed as Rock Health & Fitness and search with zip code: 11105.
I am very disappointed with that place because they foolish the people!!i when i went there to subscribe i told them to pay month by month, and after tree months something happen with my health, and i had to stop going to gym!! ;;;;;i told them to stop and they refuse to do it..because the told me i signed up contract with them for one year,my English is not so good and they foolish me !!!And they told me i have to continue pay every month with out going..and the beginning when i went there, i told them to pay month by month and they told okay!!!shame to them !!!! shame to the owner Latos and Latos the Lawyer who has office next the the gym...he have this place!!SHAME SHAME..
Thats a big scum gym and i wish i saw the previous comments of other customers before joining ... any one who like Joining that gym has to know that if you wish any time to cancel your membership you going to have to pay onother month extra even if you are not going to the gym any more!i think is better to look for better option, lets say the nysc by the 30av and Steinway is much better gym very friendly stuff its a huge gym very clean and the price its around 20 $monthly and of course you dont have to pay for an extra month if you wish to cancel !while reading other comments i realize that many people have the same issue with that gym and that they try to scum every one who decide to cancel.on the other hand nycs if you dont whant a go any more you just give a notice some days before and they simply cancel your membership!
Walked in to ask about the timing they have and the memberships the lady at the front desk was very rude and had an attitude for some reason there’s never any need to be rude especially nowadays where you can simply go to the next gym .. oh well never going there again.

2022-03-01The Rock is an amazing space to get into shape. I’ve been a member for over one year and I do no regret joining. The space is extremely clean, disinfecting wipes are readily available throughout the gym- important in the age of covid. The machinery is new and always well maintained. The gym has an amazing vibe, and even has a DJ making your workout even better in the evening hours during the week. The cafe in the gym has some great healthy snacks and makes great protein shakes, and amazing espresso. Great space, great equipment, and awesome vibe - what more can you ask for? The Rock is worth every penny.

2022-03-02Recently transferred over here from a different local gym and am so happy I did. Not only is the gym brand new, clean, and equipped with the best machines, but unlike other local gyms, the staff at Rock fitness kindly greet you and assist you throughout your workout. On a few different occasions, both Rock trainer, Allison, and Rock manager, Pete, have offered me help learning to use some of the gym’s unique equipment. They’re both very attentive to members and encourage you to try new technique and classes. To boot, the gym plays awesome music and even has a live DJ a couple times a week. Who needs the club when you have fun activity, a DJ, and a stocked coffee/smoothie bar?! Best decision I ever made. Major thank you to Rock Fitness and all it’s staff for making me feel so welcome!!!

2022-03-02This gym is well worth the 5 stars!! I’ve signed up to every gym in Astoria, in the past, and I’m happy to finally have found the right fit for me. I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and have never had a bad experience. The employees are professional, friendly, willing to help and make you feel welcome. There are a variety of machines and a lot of space to work with. It is super clean and they are consistently looking for ways to expand and make the gym better! The DJ on Mondays/Wednesdays and the Rock Juice/Coffee Bar are great new additions! Sign up, it won’t disappoint!! :)

2022-03-02I’ve been a member since 2014 when they were located across the street. There’s no other gym in Astoria that comes close. Gyms are either clean or dirty, the rock is spotless. Especially with COVID they do such a good job at making sure that the facility is always in top notch shape. They just opened the rock bar which I would highly recommend trying. Staff is always a pleasure to deal with especially Dora and Pete. 10/10 would recommend.

2022-05-08Very happy with this gym. I have been a member for a few months now. It’s cleaned regularly and all of the equipment is well maintained. Everyone cleans up after themselves. It doesn’t get very busy. I never wait too long for a squat rack. They play great music. I have a lot of anxiety with gyms, but i feel really comfortable here. The cafe has really good treats and protein shakes.

2022-03-03Best gym in Astoria hands down. I’ve been a member for years even before they switched locations and it only got better. One thing that remained was the extremely helpful and welcoming staff. New equipment, clean gym, and wonderful environment. Would highly recommend signing up here if you’re looking for a 5 star gym all around.

2022-03-02I absolutely love this gym! All new equipment, very spacious and clean, lots of classes and super friendly staff. They also have a coffee bar where they sell not only coffees, but also smoothies and lots of healthy snack options! I swear they have everything. Thank you so much for all you do for us! I can’t even imagine going to a different gym. If you thinking of joining you won’t be disappointed!

2022-03-03The Rock has been a true game changer for me and my new fitness routine. After joining multiple gyms in Astoria over the years, I can say that the Rock has been the best by far. The staff are friendly, the space is always clean, and the machines are top notch. Proud to be a member of the Rock, well worth the membership fee.

2022-03-02Even after a long day at work I look forward to the workout Im about to have and a lot of that is down to this gym. Its the cleanest facility Ive been in. Its a gym pushing the boundaries of the experience. Since Ive been a member for about a couple months theyve added a café/bakery for great drinks and snacks, multiple new classes and trainers, new updated machines, and seminars. While that is all nice a lot of the positive experience I have is down to the people that are both running the place and the community of members within. But a lot of that is down to the staff themselves I feel like most of the employees know my name without having to check the sign in page and thats all the way from management down to the once again exceptional cleaning staff. Every member of that team makes it that much better and helps make my day.
