Emerald is such an amazing help. He is so informative really gets into the crystals and breaks down everything. Honestly will comeback with some of my other stones for his expertise. worth the effort to make it down here.

I walked for about an hour trying to find the right crystal, and I know the universe led me here. This store is amazing! From the reasonable prices to the stores design, I felt like my needs were prioritized. The shop also had an amazing person working at the front. I truly felt like this person practiced some form of spirituality that would allow goers to engage in conversation about one’s journey. There were a great range of objects varying in size and beauty. Go here if you need some metaphysical love!
Today I went for my first time, and let me say, oh my god, i love this place. the staff first of all are amazing, especially emerald. they let me shop normally without being overbearing! i was there, at the register about to buy a rose quartz stone and an amethyst crystal, and he (emerald) suggested opalite, and the feeling i got when i touched the three was literally magical. hes amazing, and showed me how to cleanse my rose quartz bracelet, which i did. i would give this place 10 stars if i could, love love love it!
Gorgeous crystals in this store. The selection is large and there is something for every price range. The men working here were very helpful and patient with my pre-teen. Giving her advice, and never once trying to upsell or push other options at us. Gave us their personal connections so if we had any questions we could reach out. My daughters trip to NYC was made because of this store.
Very attentive staff. Usually, I feel targeted in some stores because I’m POC. This wasn’t the case here. I felt heard and no one followed me around. 10/10 recommend.

The selection was huge and absolutely GORGEOUS, and prices were very fair for each product. the workers were very personable and knowledgeable (as soon as i got home i told my roommate the fun fact that the cashier taught me about obsidian). overall, the vibe was immaculate and ill absolutely be back.

Ive been to this shop earlier today and I must say that the energy is amazing. All those amazing crystal stones to choose from. They have great affordable prices and the customer service is wonderful. The two men who worked at the front was very kind and informative. I did not feel rushed at all. I think I spent almost half an hour in there just choosing the right crystals for me. I initially wanted three stones and ended up walking out with 8 stones and 3 bracelets lol! I will be coming back again to expand my collection. For those of you that are into spirituality and trying to find some kind of healing this shop has everything you need!
Amazing. Clean. Knowledgeable staff. Extensive. The seashell collection as well. Anything larger than tiny will be on the pricey side. But thats typical for this location. I appreciate that people of all budgets seeking stone and crystal healing will find the smaller stones within their price range. Lots of jasper, as someone said, but the best Polychrome Jasper I have seen is at a place in Nyack.Also I was so impressed by the free divination station at the front. There was an aura clearing spray, and a deck of tarot cards and a book to recommend a stone based on the tarot card we drew.Nice bracelets and jewelry too.

I was visiting New York and found this amazing crystal shop online, I truly loved this store, they have amazing collections of almost everything you want there. The best and my most favorite part about this shop is that they have the nicest and most knowledgeable employees who truly love being there m. They were so kind and helpful and wouldn’t at all be annoyed with customers never ending questions, I highly recommend them if u are into stones and wanting to learn, they are soooo knowledgeable and will answer every question and u will be amazed how much u actually learn from them
I stopped at the crystal shop today and it was amazing to see the different crystals and the man behind the counter ( I didnt get his name) was so knowledgeable about the stones. The reason why in giving this place a 2 star reviews is because Im assuming it was the shop owner. He had ruined the atmosphere the moment he walked in. The man behind the counter was playing a beautiful prayer in Arabic. For a place that specializes in stones around the world. Im upset to see that the owners are not open to diversity when it comes down to the vibe of the store and its heart breaking to see how much passion the guy in the front has and his art gets shut down. But thats what happens when the man tries to cultural appropriate spirituality. I try to avoid the owners at all cost there shop is great there energy isnt.
I had an amazing time at the crystal shop today the crystals were so beautiful and the young man emerald at the front counter was very knowledgeable and made my experience even better. There were 2 other men at the counter, their hygiene made me uncomfortable and one of them kept arguing about the music which I thought was lovely hopefully my next visit would ne different but Ill definitely be back to see emerald.

SUCH a cute crystals shop!!!! Definitely one of the best I’ve been to. One thing I have to say is that this crystal shop is a great place for finding crystal necklaces, earrings or any crystal accessories, and there wasn’t a whole lot of individual crystals. Although, I loved it and got some really good things for a great price ;)
This place is a gem. They have a great staff. I walked through the entire place in peace. At the end the gentleman at the register answer many of my questions and educated me a bit. He made my experience so much better. It’ll be nice if they offer to walk around with you as you point out rocks and crystals that catch your eye. I’m a newbie in this department and I am adding this layer to my love of meditation and zen life. I purchased a Howlite stone to help me sleep at night thanks to the gentleman who assisted me. I love it’s meaning I hold it to sleep.
Incredible environment, first of all, and amazing display of gems. Looking for a specific crystal? They have it here AND the staff will be able to talk to you about it and its meanings/intentions. Huge jewelry selection, as well as mini tumble stones and bigger selenite sticks/quartz balls/etc. I really recommend a visit if you’re an astrology/crystal gen z-er in NYC.

I’ve gone here several times and have always had great help and customer service. The sales people are kind and knowledgeable which I really appreciate. One of the best places to come when you’re looking for crystals. Hope to one day buy one of their really big pieces :)
Seeing the store was interesting. The selection is great and the signs around the store explain what the stones are meant to represent. It helps teach people that know nothing, like me.The signs ALSO provide prices for the stones and crystals. Which are promptly ignored by staff.Despite being told that the stones were taken from the cheaper bin, the clerk still charged me over the amount that was necessary. The hand-written receipt was also filled in incorrectly, so theres no way to return anything or argue for money back.For new buyers, pay close attention to what you are being charged.
Emerald is defiantly a gem. He goes above and beyond and you can tell he loves what he does. I bought a carnelian pendant and bracelet and he kept it so real. He also taught me about a few other stones he is defiantly really knowledgeable and his page for crystal information is so informative. I will defiantly be back to speak to him and who knows how far the crystal rabbit hole I’ll go 🤗
I cannot express how pleased i am with this store enough. They’re customer service is great the staff members are so nice and very educated. When i asked about a crystal for a certain chakra one of the staff members recommended a crystal and he even pulled out a textbook and let me read it to see how much it resonated with me. talking with the staff is just like talking with a friend as i overheard one of the guys talking to someone about their zodiac signs and they were smiling and laughing, the store is nothing but good vibes. even seeing how they respond to EVERY review personally is mind blowing keep up the good work, i’ve been to this store 4 times with nothing but good things to say, i always look forward to my next visit!
I mean where do I start, this store has every rock, crystal, healing stone that you can think of. Dont let the small appearance fool you, anything can be found from keychains to a $1200 stone that can fit in ones living room. The staff members are very knowledgeable and can definitely give you insight on what youre buying. If youre into stones or crystals this is one of the best places to be.. I even found myself a nice Ankh ring.
If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy the moment you enter this crystal shop -- believe me, its not just because of the beautiful crystals -- its because of the two young men/ancient wise souls behind the counter named Emerald and Mike!! I was blown away by their knowledge of each mineral and crystal, and also taken by the otherworldly wisdom and deep care displayed by both gentlemen. No joke -- my experience yesterday felt as metaphysical as the stones; straight out of a scripted movie about the Fifth Dimension. I LOVE THIS STORE!!! And I left with the most incredible Golden Healer Quartz!!
It was crowded and it took a long time to be rung up. But, there is a wide array of crystals. And they write the exact type of crystals you are purchasing in the receipt. Which is great for people with SO many that it gets difficult to catalog all of them. I picked up some good ones I really needed. It would have been nice that all of the stones be cleansed upon purchase. I saw one of the associates had a smudge stick, but he was I guess only doing it for the people he was ringing up.
I was excited to come to this place and I expected to feel something. But the store has such inflated prices. and im not the only one who thinks that, because as I explored the store I overheard a couple of people surprised at the high prices. And trust me there was nothing special that makes those prices necessary for the small gems, pendants, trinkets, etc.(not talking about the big gems) Ive been to other metaphysical shops and have felt way more vibrations elsewhere and better prices. The two stars are because they do have alot of inventory and very nice bigger gemstones. I dont hate it and the customer service was nice but i just wont be back again. Best of luck to the store though!
I’ve been to this shop several times while visiting NYC. It saddens me to not be able to visit because of covid. I don’t live in NYC. I really miss it. And I’m happy I found the shop in google. However, my visits were quite special, calming and educational. The overall energy in the shop is positive, neutral, warm and welcoming. I am thorough, so I spent a bit of time at each visit in the shop. Staff was always exceedingly helpful and never pressed me to hurry or make a purchase. Nonetheless the purchases were always reasonable and beautiful. I wish the website was thorough and detailed enough to facilitate a purchase for mailing. I guess a phone call may help. Thanks!
This is my second time walking into this establishment and both times have been kindly welcomed and assisted by Esmerald.The first time I went I was looking for an onyx pendant and they were sold out....The second time around I found just the stone and I wanted to wear it around my neck...whenI tell you that this gentle human went above and beyond to create a custom made Onxy Pendent wrapped in a tri-color wiring for me I left in awwww! He delicately made it with patience and explained details about how special each stone we pick individually carries a personal story.His awesome and real calm vibes were solid! Picked up my sage and my finally found onxy.It’s also a beautiful shop if I may add...we were able to find it by following the sage scent lol.

My first visit to Rock Star Crystals was absolutely amazing. I chanced upon it while walking iin my neighborhood. It was explained to me that the inventory is ethically sourced and their prices are based on quality and regions. Im new to this space, and Mike was exceptional in explaining everything. The store itself is calming, well kept and the music is relaxing. If in the Chelsea area, its a must see...and feel. :-)

If you shop here, you are getting scammed. Items are marked up beyond belief. I own a business selling these items. I know the range they get them for priced wholesale. Items I sell for 20 and double they’ll have listed for 100+.Learn before you buy, do your research. Shame on this shop for taking advantage of the customers like this.This is a cool place to go and look around, but be extremely weary of buying here. I get you have overhead and rent, but owners, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Internet shops are going to put you out of business.
Came with a friend who took me here ; quiet chill place ; an experience for your eyes & if You like earth creations well they have an excellent array of display that is their offered collection of gems; stones; crystals; I purchased a zebra stone ; titanium magnet balls & couple other items ; the staff are kind ; gentle & courteous although busy with customers ; as quite a few were there ; obvious the place is where its at; Peace Blessings
Went here with a couple of friends today and absolutely loved it!! The crystals are incredibly affordable and I was able to purchase a beautiful goldstone crystal pendulum. This shop is like a museum—I plan on going back very soon. The staff are also very helpful!!
When I walked in, I was given a tray and allowed to walk around. The vibes in the store was so immaculate and refreshing. A staff member was cleansing with sage which made me feel...at peace. When I asked one of the guys about the moldavite, he went into detail about his expierience and it made me feel as if i was just talking to a friend. We werent followed or anything and there were no bad vibes. The selection is great! I spent $81 which I dont mind it was totally worth it. I look foreward to shopping here routinely. thank you for the great experience ! the prices are great as well.
Very chill laid back environment with a large selection of crystals. I dont know much about crystals yet, Im learning. I bought some sage and a small citrine crystal and it came to around $7 which I find very affordable. They have a credit card minimum of $10, so bring cash if you just want something small. The staff is kind and lets you peruse without pressure. Ill definitely return.
As a brother of one of the owners, this positive review may appear biased. However, the simple truth is that, on every visit, I am always impressed by the stark beauty of the stones. Equally impressive is the reasonable prices of the stones and jewelry. Rock Stars rocks!!!
I really want to love this place. The workers there are amazing, friendly, and full of energy and knowledge. The crystal selection is amazing as well. Everything is awesome quality. But the biggest downfall are the prices....the prices are astromically high. There are so many places out there with crystals that are just as amazing, if not better, for hundreds of dollars less. I get that they are based in the city, but the prices are just not reasonable at all and anyone with crystal knowledge will know that the prices are just too much.
I discovered this awesome store just two days ago. I purchased two necklaces and was impressed with the affordable prices and great customer service by the young lady who worked there. She was very knowledgeable and was able to assist me with my purchase. Great selection of crystals! I have already begun telling my friends about this store who are into crystal healing.

This was my first time purchasing crystals and to be honest I did not know my head from my toe.When I arrived I waited about twenty minutes before I got someone available to help. There was an elderly lady there who is just rude and not very helpful. I hated her vibe. I told her this is my first time purchasing and I had some questions with regard to crystals because I really didn’t have any knowledge on it. She told me just choose whatever calls me. I realize I was “bothering her.” I watched that same lady before approaching her giving another customer attitude and couldn’t calculate the correct change three different times.There was another customer there who was polite enough to pull me and say “I don’t know what’s her problem but they have books over here and the guys are really nice. Talk to them”She was right! Both Michael and Emerald are wonderful! I went to Michael first who was so nice in helping me choose after I explained to him what I was hoping to use it for. Emerald cashed me out and was very knowledgeable and nice.It was a bit on the pricy side but I cannot say if it’s good value for money as it’s my first purchase. The store would be great vibes without that lady.

I’ve been shopping at Rock Star Crystals ever since I discovered the innate energetic power of crystals. They are my go-to store in Manhattan. Store clerk Emerald is super knowledgeable and incredibly passionate about all-things crystals. He’s a living breathing walking crystal encyclopedia. I always consult with him before my purchases. They have an incredibly large and diverse selection of sizes and shapes in almost every crystal, which I’ve never seen in any other store I’ve visited. Overall, the entire staff is polite, intuitive, knowledgeable, and passionate. We are fortunate to have Rock Star Crystals here in NYC.
I saw this place on the internet and decided to check it out. I go to quote a few crystal shops and I am often left with mixed feelings, but not this place..... Tons of stones and crystals and the staff person was EXTREMELY friendly and knowledgeable. This is my new home for crystals ans stones.
I have to say- this store is gorgeous, and the staff are very knowledgeable. There is a great selection of gems, crystals, stones, and shells, and always something you’ve never seen before. However, I rarely shop here, which is a shame. It’s just that the prices for things in this shop are (no joke) 2-3 times what I have paid for the same exact thing in other stores. I sometimes have to hold back from laughing when I see what they expect to charge for things.

The guy that helped me was so intuitive about who I am as an empath and he was able to help me pick out crystals that have helped balance me and open my chakras. It seems like there is always a different staff member when I go, but they are always knowledgeable all of the crystals and their uses and purposes, and they make great suggestions based on the information, needs, and experiences that you share with them but ultimately, they encourage you to pick up what speaks to you. To begin with, I think this store is beautiful and I love the layout. I have been here about 4 times, and have spent a good amount of money. I think their crystals are genuine and I love the energy when I walk in the store. My issue with one sales woman in particular. I have seen her multiple times and usually I try to get help from the younger lady who is super nice and is always helpful. The other one is rude and every time I walk in she is on her cellphone. The last time I was there, I gave her the crystals that I wanted to purchase. She asked me a few times what they were. I am not the expert, I picked up about 10 stones so I feel like she should have know what they were. She gave me attitude because I could not remember the name of the stones. Not only that, I paid and she goes to help the next customer without bagging my crystals. So I am just standing there and thats when the younger lady walked by and started bagging them and even told me how to take care of the delicate stones that I purchased. I really feel like her energy is bad for the store. I was with a few friends. They were helped by the younger lady and they even noticed how rude this woman was to me. I love this crystal shop, but that woman really gives off bad energy every time I visit. I think the owner should have a talk with her because she just sits behind the counter on her phone and is super rude.
Theres such a large selection of crystals,stones,jewelry, etc. Theres also such a fair mix of price ranges that you can find stones for as low as $.50, $1.00, $2.00 to $500+. Staff is helpful, knowledgeable and gives you freedom to shop and explore without hassle. It would be helpful to have benefits of every stone on bins but I can see how hard that could be with such a large inventory. Im just really satisfied with the amount of items I got for the price. Thank you!
Smart staff, young gentleman with tattoos on his fingers was well educated on the subjects and answered all of my questions and older man with curly hair (the owner?) was courteous and obviously enthusiastic about this beautiful shop. Very expensive in some areas but you cant beat 2$ tumbled stones. Ill be back
I have been buying crystals for quite some time now and this is the most overpriced store I have ever shopped at. A hand size piece of raw rose quartz was priced at $200. I have seen - and purchased - pieces double that size and of the same quality and grade at under a quarter of their price. This store is a scam and clearly does not care about providing healing crystals but rather just making money. Save your time and money and shop at other stores/the internet.
Lauren and Emerald are amazing! Their knowledge is vast and freely and warmly given. While I have gotten better prices on certain items elsewhere, I havent gotten the service and attention that this staff gives to everyone who walks through their doors. I also love their selection of stone rings.

I bought a silver chain at this store that tarnished within 2 days and broke within a week. I came back to the store and requested an exchange. The assistant manager refused to exchange it because I forgot my receipt. I came back the next day with my receipt. His credit card machine was not processing the refund. He didnt have a replacement chain so he offered me a store credit which I declined because Im not interested in supporting the kind of business that blames their customers when they sell low quality items. He refused to give me a refund. I told him I would accept another chain of equal or greater value. He gave me one that was half the price of what I paid. He was rude, yelled at me, interrupted me while speaking. Im never coming back here and I suggest you dont come buy your good energy crystals here. A business that runs like this and doesnt care about its customers is NOT the energy you want in such precious things.
I had the best day in Rock Star Crystal Shop! I was in awe of everything I wanted! My sister and I couldn’t stop saying our Ooooh’s and Aaaah’s. I definitely WILL be going back soon!Cindy .
Went to get a crystal and wanted to have it as a necklace but the stone wouldnt fit in the cage, one of the employees had expertise in making necklaces so he took the time to make a custom piece for me and didnt charge anything. Great place! :)

Was here a month ago when it was my first time using Crystals was helped by a guy by the name of Emerald. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the Crystals he showed me and was very patient when I asked him about different Crystals for different things. Even went as far as showing me how to feel for what my crystal I was gravitating more towards. Not only was my experience amazing but I feel like my life is more cleansed and I feel more in control spiritually. He told me to attract more positive energy and every since then Ive been taking each day in stride. Best experience Ive had looking forward to more visits here.
This shop has some incredible displays, gorgeous crystals, massive specimens. The prices are ridiculous...but what do you expect - this is Manhattan and rent is sky-high. If you love crystals, you need to drop by here some time. If you win the lotto, plan on buying something amazing!

I came in with a list of crystals I wanted (love, courage..etc) not knowing which ones are for what lol but both guys(I didnt ask their names 😓) were extremely helpful in explaining what and why! Ive been going to this place for crystals for a long time. I love their new store but I dont care for the people who work there now and I dont think I will be returning. I was in the other day. There were two stoner guys working. One was mildly friendly. The other one seemed to be his assistant or just hanging around while the first one was helping a customer. The assistant guy wasnt friendly at all, didnt offer to help although it was clear I had a question and when I finally did call the guy over he was rude, angry, wouldnt make eye contact, and had some really strange, dark energy. Turned me off to the whole place. Wondering why the owner is hiring these young stoners. The older folks who used to work there were much more personable and friendly.
They have a huge, beautiful selection of crystals, rocks, stones, and jewelry! From what the staff member told me, the owners are from Brazil and bring new merchandise from there. Its probably not the cheapest crystal store in NYC, but its also not the most expensive one around! One thing that they usually ask most people to do is leave their bags behind the counter. Other than that, its a quiet, relaxing place to visit :)
Came here once and had a decent experience. Will definitely go back for more Quartz crystals. There are a plethora to choose from as well as many adornments. If youre into the universal vibration and earth magic then give this store a visit.
First time at the store and I was greeted by a friendly older woman who asked if I would check my bags in, I declined at first and she explained it was the owners policy, so I complied and they were put on a hook behind the counter. I figure they must have a really bad theft problem if the owners need to make it a store policy. The store is marvelous and has a huge collection of minerals, some prices are high, but the pieces are beautiful. The younger woman behind the counter appeared very disinterested as she was on her cell phone almost the entire time I was there and I became nervous that she might have an app that scans for credit card information. Unfortunately, I felt very uncomfortable, so I left without making a purchase
REFRAIN FROM BUYING FROM HERE CUSTOMER SCAMMING IN PLAY: I was excited to buy a fairy/spirit quarts crystals from there it was beautiful really calling to me I asked the guys questions about it which were answered everything was good, upon buying the crystal and I hope the guy who sold me this specifically remembers me and reads this, I noticed the tax was $5.32 when in New York tax % is 4% when u do the math it doesn’t add up to that much when the crystal was marked at $60. I later went home and did sum research to find the crystal marked as 60 was only $20-$40 everywhere else and other crystals marked at even $100 only worth $50-$65 called other shops to find the information to be true whatever u do beware of these scammers even when they see reviews like this because if u scroll down I’m not the only one who has said this, they won’t do anything about it so best avoid the store In general I will be going back to speak with them directly about them scamming their customers but I doubt they’ll do anything or give me my money back like they should be doing and use covid as an excuse like they did with others. Hope you guys can do something about this and stop making something ppl enjoy into something negative
One of the best crystal stores in NYC!! EXTREMELY knowledgeable and welcoming staff!! Prices can be high for wands, spheres and large geodes, but worth the triple AAA quality that this store has, on ALL of its crystals & stones.
This place was nice it had a large array of stones and crystals. They also have jewelry and a few other items made with stones and crystals. The staff seemed friendly. I bought a few stones and some jewelry and the prices are about average.
I recently just purchased amethyst earrings from Rock Star Crystals. When I initially purchased the earrings, they were in beautiful condition. Within two weeks time, however, I noticed that the stones were developing brown spots. I went to the store to either return, receive a credit, or have an exchange. To which I was told there are no such policies. I was told that the brown spots must have been there initially and I just never noticed. I was also told that there was nothing that would be done or could be done. I was given a business card in order to contact the owner personally, Dennis Piunno, and while I was explaining the issue with the earrings and asked if anything could be done, Dennis, hung up on me. Maybe he had bad service, so I tried calling again and to my surprise the phone kept ringing and went straight to voicemail. If you are looking to purchase from this store, I highly advise you not to. You do not treat not just customers this way but people in general
Rock Star Crystals is an amazing store.Rough or Polished Stones. Awesome.Came in from out of town specifically for this store. Well, that and The Met.After taking it all in and looking around at the whole place for twenty minutes I started to narrow down what I wanted to get. (Something for my wife and definitely on a budget)The staff, who are excellent, and the owner, Dennis, all greeted me and asked if I needed help or answers to any questions. Which at this point Dennis and I had 20 minute conversation about some of my choices; morion crystals, crystal spheres, and amethyst geodes.Super knowledgeable and personable, Dennis likes to tell stories he said, and he did! Haha!He left me to decide on what to get. Once I did decide, the staff all help in packaging up my purchase, which needed alittle extra packaging because I was carrying it uptown to catch the bus at the Port Authority.I couldn’t have been more thrilled.I got something my wife would love.Some reviewers talk about high prices. And I have to say I was alittle shocked at the price of the crystals spheres (my original purchase goal). But with all things. You pay for quality. That’s just a fact. I’m not mining this stuff myself, nor traveling across the globe and buying minerals in bulk.I’m traveling to NYC to this great store.And for the price of a really nice dinner with a couple of freinds, I got and oblong volleyball sized crystal geode. Both parts!!! (It came as a pair) for 300$, I’m doin just fine. Price is perfect.Also, they let me charge my phone for and hour while I was there!Brilliant place. Go there.
I stumbled upon this store randomly and it almost felt serendipitous. I walked in and felt like I was in crystal heaven... could literally spend hours in there. HOWEVER, the staff was horrible. There was an older woman behind the counter who was rude to say the very least and was completely bothered by my presence. She openly showed her annoyance when I couldnt find a stack of shopping trays she was directing me towards. The guy at the register wasnt much better; he was more interested in chatting with his friend than ringing me up and barely acknowledged me throughout the entire transaction. Just not the experience you would expect or want when buying items geared towards positive energy and healing.
I love this place. Its been a while since Ive been there. I always found their prices reasonable, plus the owner would give us layaway. Got my first piece of green tourmaline there. My friend Jessica used to work there while she studied for pre-med. I hope she is well and everything is great at rock star.

I went in and told the super friendly staff about my 7yr old son who loves looking for cool rocks. I said I wanted to buy some pieces he would enjoy and I didnt have a lot of $$$ to spend. One of the employees brought me to the far back of the store, brought me a tray, and showed me a whole selection of pieces ranging from $6-$20. I came away from Rock Star Crystals with an awesome appreciation. They dont try to upsell the customer, they are happy to share their knowledge and I will DEFINATELY be returning. Whoever owns this store should be really pleased at the staff they have.Oh, and when I said I didnt have a lot of $$$ to spend the young man even recommended a competitors store if I didnt find what I wanted. Rarely do you find this in all places New York City. Very polite and very honest people.PS...the hotel I stay at is right next door, the Hilton.I gave my son his 10 new rocks tonight and I havent seen him this thrilled in a while. Thank you Rock Star Crystals, you made a young boy very happy.
Staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly, they have a wide arrange of Crystals, shells, and some fossils. The prices are pretty good better than I thought they were going to be in Chelsea. Great place overall.
Ive been studying all types of metaphysics for over 50 years and in my time Ive seen a lot of occult shops, metaphysical bookstores, and crystal warehouses. The problem with many of these sho0ps are the pretentious attitudes the staff take on, seemingly for knowing more than the average consumer because of their place of work. Theyll talk your ear off about all they know then scoff at you for not knowing. This is not so for Rockstar Crystals. Whether youre a beginner, a hobbyist who loves collecting, or an expert on the healing aspects, theres a place for you here. The staff though young are personable and they allow you the freedom to shop for what you need without feeling hounded or stupid. The owners are friendly and clearly have a passion for stones. Though more pricy than the Midwest, bear in mind this is lower midtown manhattan, so theres high rent for sure. The guy who checked me out (long hair) was pleasant and efficient, and didnt try to talk my ear off hahaha overall experience is 5/5 but dont take my word for it, go see it yourself. The sight of the shop alone is worth it
The staff was very nice and helpful. They had a VERY big selection of minerals for my collection. Prices were high, even for manhattan. $15 for a small piece of sulfur? Pyrite was $15 and I bought a similar sized sample that looked the same in structure for 3 dollars elsewhere. $52 for 5 small minerals? If you are looking for a place with a large selection of minerals, then this is a good place. If you dont have a lot of cash to blow you may want to look elsewhere.

Very disappointed with the woman behind the desk, scowling, unprofessional. My husband and I arrived at about 1 pm and was told that we had only five minutes because the woman needed to urinate and get her some sustenance. The store open at 11 am and two hours in you are kicking out money because you need lunch. If she was nice I would not have thought twice about her caring for her basic needs but she was so harsh, sneering and huffing and puffing and gasping when I asked about a certain crystal. She waived at the display case with such disdain that she really could have received a good old fashion soul crushing curse out! Her behavior was so surreal it caught me off guard. If we came in behaving like jackasses then perhaps we would deserve to be treated this way. I have been coming to this place for years but like the other reviews have mentioned the physics of the place is totally different and that mean ole lady is a big part of it. The inventory is always great but the prices have increased considerably. In our speed shopping visit we only spent $50 but was willing to spend whatever it took to satisfy our needs for our crystal collection. A person came in a few minutes after us and did NOT get the get the f#@& out speech we were served... I am tired of the race card but...was it because we were African American and he was Caucasian that we needed to git? Or was it that we came in happy and vibrant and misery likes company so... The owner, Dennis, is really spectacular but he needs to stop cutting corners and get some pleasant, QUALITY staff members in there instead of sea hags that readily disrespect him and his clientele at the drop of a dime. Solution: I think I will take the majority of my business to Lita Trading company located at 1160 Broadway (btwn 27th and 28th). It used to be mainly stones set into jewelry or fashioned for jewelry making but now they have a fast growing stone collection that is ample and impressive. I have a massive piece of black tourmaline that I paid only $7 for and a fantastic Coral and turquoise necklace that would knock you off your feet! Emmanuel, the owner there, will sell to you wholesale if you own a business but will sell to you retail rates that are still outstanding without a minimum purchase restriction.
I walked in and fell in-love...ahhhh! I left work early to visit Rock Star Crystals and so glad I did. Emerald and Mike were like my guides, their energy was so good, I didnt want to leave. They were so patient, professional and very knowledgeable. I wish I could give 10 stars and 10 hearts.

Shady! You find unmarked stones in a mixed price tray and of course its always the highest price despite being half the size and nowhere near the grade of the other stones. Also, if you dont look like a Yuppie you pretty much just fend for yourself in this shop because the staff arent coming over to you. Youd be much better off financially and otherwise patronizing some of the excellent sellers on Etsy who have shops that you can pick your exact crystals.
This used to be my favorite crystal store, but the last few times I have been there, the energy has definitely changed. Their selection is not as good as it used to be, and the prices have doubled. The employees are grumpy and act like its a chore to help you. You can also hear them complaining to each other, as it is a small space. Plus, there are signs posted everywhere, Smile, youre on camera, Shoplifters will be prosecuted, and Stealing is bad karma. I understand if they had trouble with shoplifting that they should act accordingly, but the whole vibe now puts off a negativity that is disappointing, considering it used to be so positive. I will probably not shop there anymore or make any further referrals. :(

Paid $150 for 2 rocks. Feeling a little foolish right now. These better work. Beautiful selection. Update: OK the crystals do work. The black tourmaline doesnt feel like much, but it does ground you. The fire & ice quartz does have energy, but its not my most powerful. A smaller quartz has more energy. Ive since learned you can find much cheaper prices elsewhere. I also prefer the raw crystals. The selection is 5 stars, but the prices are 3 stars.
Unfortunately they sell white sage here. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Do not recommend.
Just the calming effect of visiting this store and the amount of crystals available made this stop worthwhile! Bought a few crystals for a grieving friend, very helpful staff and fair pricing will bring me back next time Im in the city.
They sold me a heat treated amethyst and said it was orange citrine . So I cant vouch for the authencity of their crystals but it is what it is. & their prices are too expensive if they are selling false stones. Honesty is the best policy. Brought myself a dream I guesss !

I absolutely love Rockstar Crystals!! The owner Dennis is a real spectacular man with great energy and the store itself gives off an amazing vibe and energy. I will adimit however, there is a woman that works there who gives off this cold vibe behind the desk. Every time she rings me up, I try to make small talk with her, but shes really cold I feel. She does seem nice though deep down.

You dont have to cleanse/energize, etc. but please at least dust them.E.g. When you walk in, a giant amethyst geode on the floor. Absolutely gorgeous, but... COVERED in dust. I could almost feel it screaming for help :(
Very much enjoyed what seemed to be the younger brother/owner who was very happy and passionate about the gems I was looking for till I got to the cash register with my 50 dollar max group of gems then they tried to charge me 78 so I said wait Ill just get these 7 gems one was 28 the rest were 1--3 dollars a piece they charged me 55 dollars which was still over priced based on what they had them marked for they are lucky I really wanted the dark plum raw amethyst piece I got or I would have just walked out be careful And be aware when checking out... best of luck
Was looking for an alternative store to buy crystals and other things aside from the one store that I frequent and I found this store to be way over priced even for the smaller pieces of crystals and gemstones. Makes me appreciate the other store that I tend to frequent because they are way more reasonable in price.
First stone and crystal store I have ever visited. I didnt buy anything because it was the first store I have ever visited but the lady at the counter was very helpful and accommodating. Would come back when I become more knowledgeable of stones and the prices.

Came and got a lot of dxpe gems from here many times. I was heart broken the tiger eye ring didnt fit. But I was able to get an assortment of calcites and selenite for me and my lady. Sidenote: no one warned me the smell of the Palo Santo wouldnt be something I liked. Ill stick to sage

Although there are not so many places in NY where you can buy some rocks and crystals, we are not talking about Diamonds, that you can buy in tons in diamond district, this is not the right place.I was looking for some crystals from the NY area, and i found some Herkimer diamonds in this place, along with a lot of crystals mainly from south america (mexico and brazil).This is not a street level shop, is a flat at the 2nd floor in Chelsea area.There is a lot of stuff like pyrit balls, quartz skulls and so on, but also some good crystals, but everything is almost expensive.Anyway, if you are in NY and you are looking for Herkimer diamonds you can find it at around 35$ each.
The gems here are REALLY pricey, but the place is so beautiful and they have a wide variety of different crystals!

2022-04-08Beautiful space... Mark was VERY knowledgeable... I bought a few pieces... But my pyrite pendulum broke on my way home. I called to see if I could exchange it but was told the owner would have to make that decision. Havent heard back but I will buy in My again soon and will take it and hopefully just get a replacement.

2021-05-02Loved it right off the bat. The guys at the register let us shop in peace, but made themselves available for any questions. They have a large variety of crystals at different price points. I can see why some people in the reviews say it’s pricey, but they definitely don’t pressure you into buying anything so that’s a plus. I walked out with 2 necklaces and 1 rose quartz bracelet at about $60 all together

2022-05-22My friend recommended this shop to me the other day so I decided to stop by. I was amazed at the variety and price points. They have statement pieces, carvings, pennants, raw chunks, tumbled crystals, and so much more! I spent an hour in there and I still don’t think I got through everything. I was able to get a selenite tower, chunk of rose quartz, black tourmaline, and obsidian for $16! Then on my way out I decided I wanted a piece of orange calcite and the person at the counter let me have it for free since it was $1. I can’t wait to come back again!

2022-05-03Just left this crystal shop and I am insanely disappointed!! I went to purchase a moldavite to come and find out that they are absolutely overpriced. I purchased a moldavite from here about a year ago and paid about $70 for it, however, the smallest moldavite there is priced at $150 and more! Even up to $800!! The owner or whoever is in charge of this is insane and has definitely lost me as a future customer. Stop taking advantage like that
