Its not often you walk into a store and faced with the option of buying not only one, but two Michael Hurley records, one John Fahey record, or a dollar bin Canned Heat. Record Number Nine is THE Hudson Valley record store, and I often wonder why I even contemplate turning off 87 an exit earlier. Best Jams, Best Vibes, and the Best People, Rocket Number Nine leaves me praying that I will one day be allowed to turn Jerry up to 11.
Was just there. They have an amazing selection of records and it’s all extremely clean and well organized. I wish I could go hear again and again cause we stopped in Kingston in a drive upstate.

2021-12-21Love this place. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful!! They love what they do and it shows. There are two record stores on this block. My review for the other one is very different then this one. This is the store you want. Highly recommend.

2021-05-29Simply put, this is my favorite record store in the greater Kingston area. Its quaint and clean. Really pleasant staff. Theyre always up for a conversation about records or bands. The prices on their records are more than fair, and I love the selection that comes through the used bins. Top notch!

2019-03-27Went in looking for a gift for a friend, and found Glass Houses for $5! Thumb through all the racks, and youll find some gold, or double platinum (depends on how well it sold😉).

2021-07-04I have traveled all around the world and this is hands down one of the best record stores Ive ever been to. The selection never disappoints! They always have the records you wanted to buy elsewhere but where usually waaaay too over priced. HERE THO the PRICE IS RIGHT! On top of the classic records I also ALWAYS walk home with some obscure record that I never thought Id find, let alone for a decent price. It really brings back the magic of buying records again! Thanks Rocket Nine Records for being the absolute best record shop

2018-11-17Best Record Shop in the Hudson Valley. Friendly, helpful service. New Arrivals bin sees quick turnaround on the best stuff, so important to check frequently. Solid rock, blues and jazz sections. Great 4 for $10 bins and $1 bins for the bargain hunter and good prices on stuff that goes for more.

2019-02-15I always walk out of here with an armful of records. Great selection, reasonably priced, and friendly knowledgeable staff. George is the best. Put extra quarters in the parking meter. (Dont follow leaders and watch your parking meters.)

2019-03-17As a first time visitor, it certainly will not be my last. Extensive inventory and all at reasonable pricing. Walked out with a full load of records and could have taken more. Nice place and nice staff.
