They took me in within 10 min.I saw Athalie Anjou who is the PA.She was very kind and listened to all of my concerns. She prescribed me specific medications for my problem and it has somewhat taken the edge off. I know this is not something that will be miraculously gone in a day or two but it helping and I felt very comfortable with her.
Wait to see a nurse wasn’t long at all (although the two times we went the front desk clerk said there was a long wait that day. We arrived and barely anyone was in the lobby). Nurse practitioner was very informative and patient (my boyfriend and I visited the office twice to have them check on my son’s cold symptoms). Nurse followed up with me via phone to explain information and again was very patient in answering my questions and allowing me to pick her brain. Would recommend this office to others.
Front end receptionist (young girl) super nice & welcoming. Young medical assistant that took me in, also very sweet and always smiling. The young man at check out was very unprofessional. He saw me standing there waiting for check out; he stayed on his cellphone until the MA told him to take care of me and he never even looked up at me-HORRIBLE. Otherwise, pleasant experience. Was out within an hour; but I didn’t have to see a practitioner so I’m sure that helped.
It was a lovely and painless experience. I had a bed ear infection and the doctor was very knowledgeable and gentle. Everyone on staff gets an A+! I’ve gone there a few times with my baby who’s terrified of doctors and needles! They’re so good with her. The best is the quick and thorough service.
Waited OUTSIDE for 4.5 hours then another hour inside. There has to be a better way. Right down peoples names and phone numbers and call them 30 minutes before? Also the owners friend showed up and just walked right in cutting an entire line that went around the block.
For customer service a 0Took my child there for a PCR testThe receptionist told me tFidelis no longer covers COVID TESTINGI paid $25 for the visitWent out, called Fidelis, turns out test is coveredCalled them to ask why I had to pay, they tell me Fidelis doesn’t cover it for their facilityAfter speaking with a supervisor, he told me he can’t refund me, when I asked for his name he promptly hang upI will be filling a complaint with the better business BureauAnd will no longer be going back here or recommend them to anyone!
First time visiting this Urgent Care. If I need to go back, I definitely will! From the moment we stepped in we were greeted by Kelly. So very nice! Place very clean! Doctor who attended me was great as well. He confirmed what I needed to know to take care of myself. Highly recommend this Urgent Care.
I was very happy with my time there until I got charged 160$ for a splint I never asked for or was even told I was being charged for.Not to mention it was haphazardly applied sense it had to be taken off that same day to reset my bone in another location... Wish I could give them a better score. But from 235 to almost 400$ in 10 minutes. I should have been informed of what was happening
The facility is very busy snd the staff does what it can to get everyone taken care of. The waiting area can get crowded so you are encouraged to wait in your car. When I checked in I was told the wait was about 35 minutes; I ended waiting an hour and 15 minutes. Once inside the practitioner was all business; get us in, administer the test, and get us out. They asked how I wanted the results and I said cell phone. They repeated the number back to me, and a half hour later they called my home number. SMH.
None of the office staff wear a mask correctly if at all. The doctors are dismissive and openly mock patients within ear shot and offer no care. I am constantly disappointed in my visits here and have just gone for the last time after a doctor refusing to actually see me and instead mocking me to the nurse and sending her in to deliver little to no care instructions.
When I walked into the facility, the front staff did not greet me, did not ask me if I was a new patient or what the reason for my visit was. After signing in, a few minutes later a different patient comes in and the staff greets her and explains to her everything to do and gets her signed in. I had to ask again if I would be seen because Im a new patient. They then instructed me to sign in on the kiosk. I sat waiting for about 40 minutes and several patients including myself were not being called in the order we were signed in. After finally getting called to do my testing, I was told to wait 15 minutes and come check to see if my results were available. I came back to the front desk and the staff was talking about me in Spanish, they thought I did not understand what they were saying. The front staff was very rude and disrespectful. Was unable to get any names. I am posting this so other people can be prepared to deal with possible rudeness at the main desk. Also the place was very unorganized. I will be contacting the office manager to let them know about my visit in more detail.UPDATE: After speaking with the office manager the situation was handled appropriately.
As a fellow health care provider, i can only say great things about Rockland Urgent Care. The waiting area was clean and organized with social distancing requirements being followed. The staff was friendly, the wait was minimal, and the provider had an amazing bedside manner. I would strongly recommend Rockland Urgent Care to anyone who needs their services.
We went to this place first time to get some medical help and check my wife with high fever 3 days ago at 10:45 am. She was badly shivering. Thats why we went to urgent care. As they instructed I registered in their system with photo of insurance card etc. The system gave a fixed time at 11:45. Ok we waited there until almost 12:30 and nothing happened. In the meantime they charged $65 as copay toy credit card. When we asked when she can see some doctor they said we have to wait another hour for no reason, ignoring the setup appointment time. My wife was really feeling bad and could not wait any longer. We told them to cancel the appointment and credit my money to the card. The lady at the counter was very rude and loud. She said everybody have to wait. Finally we left and she said she will credit later when she gets time.I checked my bank she didnt. I had to file dispute at my bank. My insurance company says the copay should be $40. We are very unhappy and will never go there. Sorry
Great difficulty with the portal. I set up the patient portal but cannot send or receive messages because it does not recognize West Haverstraw New York facility nor any facility in the drop-down menu. Very frustrating. However the service when I got to the facility was amazing. Quick instructive and efficient. I was very pleased with the service
Went for a COVID rapid and PCR test after traveling. I was a walking women behind the desk were very helpful and kind. Nurse who did my test was polite and quick. I was in and out in about 30mins from walking in to walkout. And mind you this was during rush hour right after work.
I had to get a rapid covid test for a medical procedure. Friendly staff. The hours are convenient and they are open Sundays. No appointment required. Not thrilled about the kiosk. Im glad my info was in their computer system. Avoided using the kiosk.Im glad this urgent care is in our community.
Everybody here was pretty nice and knowledgeable, however it took a very long time. I called ahead to ask about the wait for covid testing and was informed it wouldnt be long. I even mentioned another urgent care quoted me three hours and I was told that it wouldnt be nearly that long. I arrived around 2 and waited outside for nearly 2 hours, inside for another 45 minutes and didnt leave till 5pm. Then, nobody called me to tell me my results so I had to call and ask this morning, while a person who came with me got their results in 30 minutes.
When I walked in, the office staff was extremely rude, as if I was disturbing their conversation. I said I would like to see a physician for an ear infection. I was told that there was no provider on, and that they were only open for rapid testing. For an “urgent care” center, they don’t seem to take urgent matters seriously. I’m not sure how they can function without a provider on duty, but if you ever need a rapid test, apparently this place caters to them.
Great.place to receive care !Front desk staff were pleasant and caring .I was not kept waiting ( maybe 10 min. Max)I was seen by Dr. Straus , He was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease . After my exam he prescribed after injury care and gave me information for follow up . I am very pleased with the care I received.
It is truly a disgrace that Dr. John Demarchi works with patients in the medical field(someone needs to take his license away). I have never been more embarrassed or humiliated by a doctor. His comments towards me in the office were unprofessional and no person like this belongs in the medical field. I will be filing a complaint and I hope nobody has to go through the unethical care I was put through. I highly recommend staying away from this place.
Save yourself the aggravation and go straight to CityMd. I walked in because I needed a COVID test for work, I put my name on the sign in sheet as instructed and sat down. They called my name and told me I needed to sign in at the kiosk which I did. I then went back to wait. At this point the waiting room is now crowded with people standing. I go to the receptionist and ask if I can wait outside and I inquired about the wait time to which I was told it would be 15 minutes. After 15 minutes have I walk back inside and ask if theyve called me yet, just in case. The man at the front desk tells me they havent so I go to wait, the waiting room is still packed. I sit for an additional 30 minutes before I go back to the receptionist to inquire about the wait time. The receptionist then said who are you? It wasnt that I was expecting her to know who I was, they had a full house it could have been said differently. I realized I no longer wanted to wait so I said you can cancel my appointment (you have to make an appointment at the kiosk when you check in) to which she asks will I be coming back. I told her if God is willing because I know He is able, I will never come back here again. I then went over to CityMD was able to get a COVID test in under 20 minutes without sitting in a packed waiting room.
This was the best experience I ever had at an urgent care. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. The staff At the reception area and nurse were friendly and professional. The NP Danielle was thorough and easy to talk to. Greg, who was either an NP or MD was knowledgeable and direct in his approach while at the same time being friendly. I will be returning to this location whenever my family or I need medical care in the future. Thank you.
Great place , employees treat you with professionalism and respect. You feel like you are among family. Best of all, its a very clean institution. I highly recommend this Urgent Care to anyone in need of medical care. Wonderful service and prompt attention along with a very caring staff. God bless and protect its staff.
I recently just left Rockland Urgent Care Family Health NP, P.C on Rte 9W in West Haverstraw, N.Y. and had the most caring, empathetic Doctor take ownership of my situation. Although the news was not the best, it was by far given with an exclusive explanation along with the best care instructions and how I can best get back to work in 7 days, hopefully sooner. The wait time was probably 5 minutes if that and I would advise anyone who is unsure of a health situation and in need of quick care to go there. They are open 7 days a week. I am very grateful for the service I received and will most surely return after work. It is great for those who do not want to take time away from their work schedule, and in need of seeing a Doctor the same day. Excellent service!. The entire staff is very professional, polite and friendly. You will not regret the visit if you are in need of urgent medical assistance.
Went to get tested for covid-19 exposure. My job required a test dated between 9/3-9/5. I arrived on 9/3 and received a PCR test. Was in and out relatively fast.Only problem is , it is now 9/11 and I have yet to receive my test results. Everytime I call, I get put on hold for about 20 mins for someone to tell me “ the labs are backed up due to the holiday weekend”. No one is willing to assist, when I think at this point it’s pretty obvious that my test was either lost or never sent. If you need this test for travel or to get paid for work, I would suggest going elsewhere, otherwise you will be without days of pay like me ( since I was unable to provide a test during the required time)I since went elsewhere I received my test results.
Emily and Dr. Straus, thank you so much for everything. You guys are so at tentative and kind. I came in with allergy like symptoms and the staff and doctor here took their time to listen to all my concerns and treated me accordingly. Thank you for the low wait time and amazing care. Highly recommend this urgent care to all!
I went to this urgent care, (non covid related)because three other urgent cares said the could not see me. The PA John was dismissive and openly mocked the patient before me, within ear shot, which violates all HIPPA law. He was in rush to get me out and asked me what I was there for and what medicine I wanted so that he can just call it in. The front end staff and MA were nice.
I had to get covid tested on Thursday it was incredibly packed and there really wasn’t much social distancing. I also noticed a member of their staff was walking around with no mask on. I went again today on Saturday and the girl who did my test was so nice because I was a baby about it. There also was more social distancing there was a line outside and everyone was six feet apart when inside. After checking in I was told to wait in my car until it was my turn to get tested. First visit not the best but the second visit was great.
Rockland Urgent Care is a clean and well staffed establishment. I have been going throughout the pandemic to get tested with quick and fast results. The staff is extremely generous and well-mannered, 100% recommend Rockland Urgent Care for anyone getting tested for COVID-19 or to get checkups for anything.
From the moment you hit the door you get the feeling you’re in the right place. Checking in was very easy and there wasn’t a long wait. That facility is well maintained and the layout for patient movement is very direct. The Doctors, Nurses and Administrative staff were all very attentive to my issues and request.
Recently the service has changed it’s been taking longer I’ve been sitting in the office and no one called me for an hour I had to go up to the window to alert them of this problem. when my results were ready I sat there for an extra 40 minutes for no reason Again I had to go to the window to get my results I’ve been there plenty of times before the service was better.it only took 15 minutes
My go to place for a few years now! Ive met other nps and doctors here. The practitioners/doctors are very smart so you will be in great care. Some were nice, some not so much. :( But this is a clean facility and they have a very nice front desk staff and technicians here. I would highly recommend this place. During the pandemic, the wait to be seen is upwards of an hour so just bring a good book or movie with you!
Whenever I have been in pain because of an injury or sick with fever because of an infection I have always been treated with effective treatment as well as my young son preventing a visit to the ER all evaluation treatment prescribed by NP Giddy as well as all the other staff are excellent and effective care. In addition, all evaluations and treatmentplans you are in and out of there within 30 minutes. Excellent care
I only trust Rockland Urgent Care to go to when myself or my children need to be seen quickly for medical care. The place is always super clean, neat, and they are so organized with patients. I have tried several places in Rockland and prefer them most. The doctors and nurses have always been very competent, kind, and helpful. Even when it gets crowded I have never waited crazy long in there. 5 out of 5 is well deserved.
I have been to this clinic before but today I have to say been the worse, I go in for some medication for my cold, after waiting in the waiting room and room for close to 2 hours I was seen by a nurse. I told her I was there cause I felt I had a cold and wanted to see the doctor to get some medication. After that a doctor came in, later stated she was a medical student. I told her again that I was there to get treatment for a cold and after examining me she said that I should get over the counter nasal spray. I said I was sick if I knew I was going to get over the counter medication why would I waste my time. She and a nurse practitioner said that I should wait to see the doctor and nor to leave. I then said if my insurance is paying for me to see a real doctor why would then need to stay longer for one. So I left since why continue to waste my time. When I could just go to a pharmacy. This is the worse Urgent care, that is why we pay so much for health care, doctors just dont care anymore for people, as long as insurance pays the clinics why would they care for their patients when they can just hire assistants instead of doctors.
I went in for a rapid COVID test and mentiined having an issue with my Patient Portal account at checkout. While waiting for my results my account was straightened out! Pleasantly unexpected turn of events!Great people, in and out as quickly as could be expected (with the volume of patients present). Staff friendly and extremely helpful.
I needed a rapid Covid test. I have concerns about crowded waiting rooms. NO PROBLEM. I was able to stay outside til time to be called in for my test and go back to waiting in my car for my results. I was notified of when to come in for test and results were brought out to me. All couldnt have been better.
If you’re in desperate and urgent need of help. DONT COME HERE. You’re better off calling 911 cause you got a better chance dying here faster than you do getting the help. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, doctors not so much on the friendly side and like I said, I’m getting grays waiting here for over an hour just for a simple x ray. Sorry for the bad review but honesty is the best policy 🤗
I stopped in for a rapid Covid-19 test 30 minutes before closing time. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and after filling out the information sheet I was seen with in 5 minutes. I was given the test and told that I would be called within 15 minutes with the results and I was called exactly 15 minutes later. So based on this experience I would highly recommend them.
Rockland Urgent Care is my favorite place to go if I’m ever seeking medical attention. The atmosphere is clean and spacious. The staff is warm, friendly and very kind. Dr. Straus is an incredible doctor. I’d prefer to go to him over any other doctor I’ve ever been seen by, including my primary doctor. He’s extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and quick with a diagnosis and solution. He’s extremely caring and welcoming ..as is the rest of his staff. I recommend this urgent care to anyone seeking medical attention, without a doubt!
First time visiting and all I can say is that the service was amazing from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. The receptionist was super helpful and went above and beyond for me by providing me a copy of my Health Insurance ID without me even asking for it. Really really good experience.
I went to Rockland Urgent Care for Covid testing, I did both tests. I have to say that the staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating and goes above and beyond to answer any and all questions and explain everything to you. ( btw- I am a big baby and none of the tests hurt) I also recommend signing up for their portal to be able to obtain your medical record history quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Rockland Urgent Care they are very thorough as well!
Doctor was extremely nasty and un professional. In the public lobby belittled my father and stated he was a dummy for waiting to come in to be assessed for his injury, when in fact the pain and swelling started an hour before we came in.Never again, prison gives more compassionate care.
Rockland urgent care is nothing short of one of the most professional medical facilities I have seen in the county. The wait time is usually less than two minutes. The level of care is a ten plus. I would never consider going to any other place. Its so impressive Im trying to get a job there!! The place is immaculate and the staff is wonderful. The medical providers have a wonderful bedside manor and dont rush your visit. A++++Jennifer Foster
2/17/21 Post:I just paid another visit at RUC. Front desk staff members were busy as usual, but in typical fashion, they were very safe, courteous and attentive. Once again, I was fortunate to be seen by Nurse Yomira Nunez. How awesome is that! As expected, Yomira administered my test carefully, professionally and expeditiously. Theres no doubt in my mind that she genuinely cares for her patients. She took the necessary time to ask a couple of important health related questions and I was still in and out of the clinic in a matter of minutes. Additionally, I noticed that Im receiving my test results a lot faster than before. This is a huge patient advantage. We need to know whats going on, soonest. Based on my experiences at RUC, Im sincerely grateful for their outstanding service and dedication to me and our community.Previous Post:Outstanding staff! The appointment and admissions process was smooth and speedy despite the typical paperwork requirement. The nurse, Yomira Nunez, administered my test in a professional manner and was wonderfully courteous. NP Straus was also awesome and followed up with a question regarding a Flu shot this season. I responded yes, I was recently administered the vaccine. Although todays test was not a pleasant experience, Im certainly glad Rockland Urgent Care staff, Yomira and NP Straus softened the blow. Ill definitely visit RUC for similar appointments, as needed. Thank you and stay healthy!
I called first and went in on Sunday 1/24/21 for treatment of flu-like symptoms. I was told the wait could be about 15 mins and I could wait in my car. Instead they had me waiting outside in the cold even though I had a fever. I finally complained and they let me in to fill out paperwork, only to have me sit in an overcrowded waiting room with little social distancing. I grew more and more anxious and got permission to wait in my car after complaining yet again.Three hours later I saw Physician Assistant John J Demarchi. The tech staff were very nice but I dont think there were any doctors present, and this PA who treated me was highly inappropriate. I told him about my symptoms and the testing I needed as recommended by my doctor - he shrugged and questioned all that testing... when he looked at my throat all he said was that it looked horrible. Not a very respectable medical opinion. I was swabbed for Covid (rapid - they didnt want to give me the pcr test), flu, and strep (2 cultures). All but the second strep came back negative, and that test would take several days to go to the lab. I asked if he was confident it was likely bacterial vs a virus, and he said it could be either so I need to take antibiotics. Hmm.We then got into a discussion about my 18 mo son, because I wanted to make sure we wouldnt keep getting each other sick -- and I said Id do another telemed visit with his pediatrician. But this NON-doctor felt the need to launch into an odd, misplaced anti-breastfeeding campaign.-How old is your son - oh, 18 months? Could he be teething? I said no, he has already cut all of his teeth except his 2nd molars.-18 months with all those teeth, and hes still breastfeeding??? Why??? Doesnt that hurt??? I didnt dignify his meddling and disrespect with a response.-You should get that kid a hamburger! Why does he think it is his business whether or not I nurse my son or how it feels on my breast when I am not asking him?-He then launched into giving completely inaccurate advice that I need to stop nursing when I take the antibiotic. Not true, and I later quickly debunked this with my pediatrician for peace of mind. DeMarchi went on an on, and I was forced to listen because I had more questions about my own condition. Finally I reminded him that the WHO recommends nursing up to age 2, to which he replied, that advice is for other countries where breastmilk is considered better nutrition than what they have. (Unlike US hamburgers?!) I finally said, breastmilk is pretty darn nutritious even here in the US.My pediatrician questioned why hed order me to take antibiotics without a positive strep culture. So I didnt take them, and thank goodness, because I improved with rest and a couple days, and the strep labwork all came back negative. I went and safely got myself a PCR covid test at the Walgreens Nyack drive through which was a much more sane, safe experience.Save yourself time and skip this facility and PA John DeMarchi with his misguided, unscientific, cocky, and inappropriate advice. I will never go there again.
I needed a dot medical card i called them and they said to come in at any time and I did great people at the front desk and helpful and the nurse was really nice the doctor was amazing he help with everything. I felt like they care about there patients.... 5 out of 5 would recommend to anyone and everyone......
Feeling very uncomfortable about my visit here. I was hesitant to leave this review, as I do believe everyone (especially healthcare workers) are doing their best right now. I called this urgent care earlier today to ask how they’re handling appointments because I’m nervous about covid exposure, etc. They assured me everyone is required to wear a mask and all workers wear ppe. When I showed up things were ok but after signing in, as more people came in, there were multiple people waiting in the lobby with masks pulled down or without even wearing one. I should’ve trusted my gut and just left but I waited to see the doctor. The doctored examined me without a mask or even gloves. I was only there for ear pain so it wasn’t a very involved examination. However, I was still asked to remove my mask. I left feeling very very uncomfortable about the conditions and exposure during my visit. Hopefully everything will be ok but I feel their operation plan is way too relaxed given the current circumstances. I am leaving this review in the hopes that it’ll save people from being put in a less than ideal environment. I’m not sure how the other urgent cares are operating but I’d recommend checking out the others over this one.
I want to thank Graig Straus and his team for the excellent care administered to my husband during a recent pneumonia episode. When his current doctors abandoned him due to a change in insurance, they provided a primary care physician who took charge immediately and got all under control. Dr. Dale Butler had specialist appointments made for him before he left the building. We are grateful for the competency of this team.Sincerely,Lorraine & Robert Avallone
Constantly running late... Last time I went there the doctor was running an hour late, its not like it was snowing, raining, or anything. The weather was perfect. Once again go there they tell me they just opened 5 min ago when I was standing there and the doors still werent open. Clearly the staff and providers cant get to work on time so change the hours to a time that the providers and staff can make it to work on time. Then when you say something the staff tells me thats just how it has g to be. No your hours are your hours for a reason and constantly being late is unprofessional. Extremely rude staff. You are constantly late yet you are rude to me.
I would never go back to this place. Originally I was HUGE fan of Greg, thought he was great. I attended on Thursday for flu like symptoms, and they told me i tested negative. However, they sent a second sample to the lab and i tested positive. Nobody called me. I am asthmatic, i’ve been suffering. So 5 days later I call back because i still don’t feel good, that’s when they let me know i had the flu. The fact they can call themselves health care workers and NOT call somebody back regarding there diagnosis is beyond me. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE! I will NEVER attend this place again. I’m not sure how they call themselves a business
This is the best urgent care by far in all of the HV region! My grandson has Aspergers/Autism and the level of empathy, patience, and great personal care that they always provide him, in addition to short wait times and astute medical care, makes what would normally be a challenging process so effortless. The entire staff is amazing, personable, and caring!
I go often when I can’t make it to my Drs. I usually don’t wait long and enjoy your Drs. Today I waited 2 hours and no wonder why I waited so long... this Dr I never seen talks about his personal life and did not focus on my issues. He talked so much about himself that I felt bad for the patients waiting. No real help you usually can do X rays and couldn’t... way to much money for no help just for me to learn the history of your employee.
I needed to see doctor today and only place I could find in my local area was Urgent Care. The staff and doctor were all polite and helpful. Place was equipped with high tech tools. For same day service, it is far better than ER in any hospitals and even better than other doctors offices in Stony Point.
I came early in the morning to get my son checked out, I didn’t wait long and the staff there was really nice. Once I got called I was there for maybe 15 minutes got medicine and a note for my son school and back home in a timely manner. Definitely recommend this place and to add on it’s a nice clean atmosphere
I came in there for knee injury from a motorcycle accident. At first I was very unsatisfied because of a issue with the x-ray machine and the prescription he called in wasn’t going to help with my pain. He did rectify the X-ray issue and after seeing them he was empathetic and seemed to be truly concerned. I would recommend going there they did great job with facilities and the staff are extremely personable
So the staff at the front desk is rude always talking instead of just working I went in for a rapid Covid test these test take all of ten seconds there was all of 6 people in the waiting room and told me it was going to take over a hour because there short staffed ??? It’s a ten sec test and none of your people with appointments are there why is it taking so long ? Also I’m pretty sure it against the law for you to openly as people why they are here people come in for private matters and don’t all wish to yell out in the middle of the waiting room what there problems are and why they need to see a doctor that’s personal and it’s why people fill out paper work so you don’t have to openly ask people what’s wrong with them in front of everyone .... all in all I think you need to re hire people at the front desk it was a ver uncomfortable feeling being asked what’s wrong with you in front of everyone completely unprofessional Iran’s I know other people that feel the same way about that and will not come here because they have to yell out there problems I will not be coming back here and will also tell other people not to come here
This was my first time at Rockland Urgent Care and it will surely be my last. The provider, John DeMarchi, APA-C, had a confrontational attitude with me from the moment he walked into the room. He said something to the effect that I was on a ton of meds and that I had not disclosed them upfront. I was there for a rare (for me) painful salivary gland, and he assumed it was a chronic condition and that I wasnt being forthcoming, I assume, because I used the clinical term for the condition, parotitis. Again, he was being confrontational when I was clearly in pain. He examined my mouth and later, when I asked if it could be dental-work related, he said possibly and then made a totally unnecessary comment about the cosmetic appearance of my teeth. All of this was done in the presence of a young nurse (I presume) who was observing and who DeMarchi did not introduce at the beginning of the visit.I have been a nurse for 25 years and I have rarely seen rudeness from a practitioner as I did today.Bernard Horan, RN
I came to this urgent care today after burning my legs with boiling water. Was hoping to bypass a long day at the hospital and get a prescription to help with healing. My husband checked me in and paid the copay up front. We waited approximately 30 minutes in an empty waiting room to be taken to a room. When the nurse/ medical assistant came to call me back she immediately started eyeing me up and had me walk through the door first and lead the way to an exam room to which I didnt know the route. I stepped aside and she said room 4 (which was the farthest room away). I was not offered any assistance to get to the exam room, no supporting my arm, no wheel chair, nothing.... when this woman could clearly see I was in excruciating pain with every step I took. So we get in the room and she continues to stare at me. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and insecure over the injury I was there to be seen for because my legs were bright red and it was embarrassing. After I had to explain what happened several times she said ok and walked out. 10 minutes go by, 20 minutes. I said to my husband, I dont need to be here, I can sit at home with the fan on my legs just as im doing here. Anyway, we waited 10 more minutes and I got up and said I cant take it anymore and walked out. We walk out of the exam room to find all of the employees chatting at the desk. Well dont let me and my burned legs interrupt you. As we were walking out the dr. Said oh I can see you now. NO! I DONT WANT TO BE SEEN.It was such a great disappointment to not be treated as a priority today at this not so urgent care. I felt uncomfortable and neglected by the service I received. I would rate 0 stars if it was an option. However, I will say they did refund the copay without a problem since I didnt receive any care!***UPDATE***This facility is very fortunate to have Nancy as their office manager. She reached out to me exactly when she said she would and assured me my situation was a great disappointment for the company and they had a meeting to review my situation and review protocol to make sure something like my unfortunate case doesnt happen again.
I went to this Urgent Care on 10/23/18 because I was experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen area. I was then sent to have a STAT ultrasound at MRI in New City. I was really concerned about my results and waited patiently for a call from the NP at Urgent Care about my results. I was done at MRI around 11am and it was now 2:50pm in the afternoon and have yet to receive a call. I paid $190 for my ultrasound so I expected a call especially that I was very worried. The Tech at MRI said the NP should have the results within 2 hours since its a STAT. I called the office at Urgent Care at 2:50pm and asked for my results, the receptionist stated it was not received but placed me on hold to check the fax machine. She returns on the phone and states it just came through (conveniently) and that she will give to the NP when he is done with his patient and he will call me with the results as she is not allowed to give it to me. I waited patiently again and it has been an hour and a half and no call. I called back to speak to NP and he gets on the phone and states Hi, you hung up on me. I stated what the receptionist had told me about him finishing up with a patient and he will call me back with my results when done. He said he took the call and I was gone. Really???? If that was the real case, why wouldnt you call me back?? I was concerned. Of course I want to know my results especially paying a hefty price for it. I just dont understand if you felt that I really hung up on you why wouldnt you have the decency to call me back to find out why the call dropped?? But as I mentioned that is not what happened. It just really baffles me that my concern was not important enough. I was told the NP would call me back after his patient. Regardless of what happened, I should have been given a call with my results positive or negative. To me it just shows that patient care is not important enough and I will never return here again.
When this place first opened it was great. However the care provider who is there now is extremely arrogant & makes you feel like you should be grateful to be in his presence. There have also been times I have gone on a weekend when they were supposed to be open & they were not. Will not return unless I have no choice.
Dr. Strauss is caring, compassionate, and informative. However, his nurses are cold, unfriendly, and unsympathetic. Ive been to this urgent care about three times and I felt really weird and awkward every time with the nurses. When Dr. Strauss isnt there, the other doctor is just the same as the nurses and she doesnt know much.
Was seen for a bad cough and Asthma. Was sent away with medicine for the asthma and told the cough would get better 2 weeks later. Still sick. They dont like prescribing medication. They make you come back multiple times for insurance purposes of making more money... smh. This place is terrible.
The medical assistant was very quick to get me in a exam room and took my vitals ASAP . Immediately Dr GraigStraus appeared examined me gave me a flu test that ruled out flu and quickly diagnosed my condition He then prescribed medication that I was able to quickly get at my pharmacy
On November 1st (MY BIRTHDAY) I hurt my wrist and I waited about 10 minutes to get into my room. I had to get X-rays done on my wrist and I was shocked to find out that it was broken. They were SUPER kind and courteous and respectful. If you get sick or an injury come here and you will be well respected and well cared for.
Had a horrible experience there. They have no good EKG machine. They sent me to ER by ambulance for no reason. The ambulance paramedics laughed as to why they were sending me. The doctor and the nurse in the emergency room laughed as to why they were sending me. I found out later there are no doctors staffing this place even the owner is a NP. Its good maybe for colds or flu nothing more. I personally would never go there again knowing what I know now.
I was seen at this urgent care recently, and i did not have a good experience. I went there to be tested for the flu. I called the office prior to going & they told me they had rapid flu test. When i saw the dr she asked me my symptoms & didnt even test me for the flu. My blood pressure was a bit high & i had a fever, which she didnt even mention. When i asked the medical assistant she said the doctor will speak to you in regards to that. I waited over 40 mins for the doctor to be in the room for not even 5 mins. She sent over tamiflu to the pharmacy which they never received. I Had to call the office again so they can re send the medication. I will not be going to this urgent care again ! Patient care is not their thing in this place!!
I took my son to see Lynet at RUC, she is the sweetest with all of my children every time I’ve taken any of them to see her, she always takes the time to explain and answer any questions that I might have !! I just love her !! Thank you for taking such good care of my son , the meds she prescribed helped him tremendously, So thanks again to Lynet and the staff!!
I sent my husband because he developed a violent cough that would not respond to any medicine we had on hand and it was Sunday, and he is a heart patient with a weak heart, and he was short of breath. The NP examined him and told him to go buy nasal spray. I called the next day furious that they failed to treat him and was told to send him back in and the doctor would see him. He prescribed steroids, cough medicine and cough pills, stating that his lungs were clear. After 4 days of no improvement he went to his regular doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis and pneumonia. He is finally better thanks to the proper meds, but these people are incompetent. His lungs were not clear. Never again!
Literally a joke, the nurse was nice but the doctor was painfully arrogant and belittling with every comment and question. Got diagnosed by eyesight for something that i found out to be a severe sinus infection when apparently to him it was just a cold. Never checked my temperature and was condescending. I would name the doctor by name had that little man actually introduced himself. I don’t understand the anger but a doctor probably shouldn’t be passive aggressive to patients. Will never return. P.S found his name on my b.s. prescriptions. One of which is for allergies? So Dr. Graig Staus, you might want to actually check your patients temperatures and run some STANDARD tests.

2022-04-14I took my daughter here for a quick check-up so she could return to school. Service was fast and efficient and their doctors and nurses on staff are wonderful. They have a great bed-side manner, especially with children. My daughter was laughing and smiling the entire time. Will definitely come back for future urgent care needs.

2022-04-25I had to visit Urgent Care this morning before. The whole process was a breeze. Staff is super nice. Craig, (MD), is super nice, personable, and a good doctor. Highly recommend urgent care if you need a quick Dr appointment.

2022-03-30Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I went here very uncomfortable and sick. The PA was extremely dismissive and arrogant. I was very uncomfortable and sick and when I asked him for a covid test he scolded me and told me I should have asked the MA…. Usually it’s the “Dr” that orders testing after accessing a patient. I felt humiliated even explaining my symptoms to him and was cut off several times trying to explain them. All he did was ask me several times if I was a smoker as I was uncomfortably coughing, which I am not. Ended up going to AFC where I was properly diagnosed and treated not to mention respected. This man has horrible bed side mannerisms.

2022-04-18Everyone but the doctor is nice. I truly don’t understand why this man is in the medical field. He is so rude and literally mocked me. I went in because I wasn’t feeling well and had a feeling it was the flu. I got tested for covid and the flu and was told I had neither. Probably just a cold ? Wrong. I was just about to leave when one of the ladies told him it was the flu. He then responded to this lady in a such a rude manner. She said she was trying to tell him I had the flu but he would not listen ! What kind of doctor acts this way?! Really I feel bad for the employees and any patient who has to deal with this man . Definitely do not recommend.

2022-02-28Very professional & thourough & polite staff. It was my first visit. So signing in, was long. But the staff are all helpful and very nice.Only a few people there on the way in but at least 24 as I was leaving. Not sure how different it would have been had I gotten there when it was crowded?

2022-06-13This is my go to urgent care since it’s so convenient. I’ve had both bad experiences and good. I know that they have been overwhelmed with patience before due to this new norm. There was times that it wasn’t busy and had rushed visits with the doctor (can’t say I remember his name.) But on that same visit I was well taken care of by the MA. My last experience was a Covid test visit they offer rapid test to everyone knowing they are not that accurate. I took a few rapid test at home and they were all positive but yet the one they took was negative. Makes me wonder how many patients were sent home with Covid thinking they were ok. I was offered a Pcr so I guess that was a plus.

2022-04-16Front Desk Staff Is Great, its when you get behind the doors when they start to drop the ball. 2 & 1/2 hours in and urgent care if just not good logistical business. You would think they get paid for the amount of time one spends there. Overall I give front desk A , medical staff and F and overall C+

2022-06-14Front desk is always polite and helpful as are medical assistants but the doctors without fail have the worst bedside manner and are condescending. One time they announced my medical issues to each other while standing in their little doctor area outside my closed door. If I could hear it I’m sure others could too, so much for hippa. Today one patted me on the shoulder when I answered a question not to his liking. It’s hard when you’re coming for professional answers and get someone talking to you like a child and rushing you out the door . I’ll be making the trek down to the other side of the county for my urgent care medical needs from now on.

2022-05-28The PA assistant was rude almost as the actual physician. I paid $25 to be told to go to the ER. When expressing to the physician I was in pain he responded “I bet” and proceeded to leave the room. Offering no resolution to my issue and felt as if I was spoken down to. As someone who never leaves reviews and is perusing a degree in the medical field, I understand the circumstances of the stress most HC workers are under but I was truly disgusted by the service or lack of service provided.

2022-06-26Do not go here if you are sick! The providers are not knowledgable and the staff - providers and administration - is less than professional.I had a fever of 102 and was waiting for Lyme test results. The nurse practioner who took my call introduced herself as Janet only. I expect health care providers to introduce themselves by first and last name together. She told me that I could have any virus, not all of them are known, and some last for 10 days! While that might be true, it was irrelevant information for someone with a 102 feve for 3 days, which is quite dangerous. Her attitide was kind of like you could have whatever.. not, this is serious and you need more tests. I went to the ER the next day and was admitted with dangerously low white blood cell count. The front desk is also less than professional - when they returned my call, they didnt state their name or where they were calling from.My recommendation is to bypass this place and go straight to the ER if you are ill
