Staff was cold and unwelcoming almost to the point of being rude and nasty, as I checked in, made me feel like I wasnt welcomed at all. Tile floor? To cheap to buy a vacuum I guess? After working all day and being cold outside a carpeted room would have been great. The room was fairly clean, but no coffee maker in the room was a let down, and the heat wasnt on at all and took for ever to warm up. The housekeeper was friendly.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!The mattresses had weird stains on them. There was a stain under the light switch. Dead bugs on the molding. A nasty mold stain or something on the bathroom door. A whole in the wall. Horrible paint job, which was the least of the issues. Went to the front desk 15 mins after checking in and was like we are not staying here. The room is disgusting. The night manager did not apologize, try to make excuses or even offer us another room. You could tell he knew it was gross and just did not care.
Positive: Location. Convenient Negative: The hotel is a dump. The rooms are old and outdated, dirty, with wallpaper peeling off of walls..I wouldnt let my dog stay there!! Rugs were filthy and so was the bathroom tub. I cleaned room by myself to make sure I was safe. Will NEVER stay there again
I would rate this a zero but unfortunately that’s not an option. The walls were thin so I could hear everything the person next door was saying, even at night when I was trying to sleep. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the bath was dirty when I first came in, there was mold in the fridge, and everything was just generally the opposite of what you would want a comfortable hotel/motel to be. I have nothing good to say about this place other than the fact that it was a roof over my head. Don’t give your money to this place or the people who run it, it’s a 2 star hotel for a reason.
Positive: The Worse Hotel that we ever stayed. Tha amount of money that we paid wasnt worth. They have construction guys staying in, they idle the trucks at 6-7 A.M.and you cannot sleep. Negative: 1-This hotel looks more than a Shelter. 2-The guess upstairs, walking all night long we didnt sleep for two days. 3-There were no breakfast serve as per advertised. 4-No coffee maker in the room, nor facial tissue in bathroom. 5-Worse Hotel that we
Very PoorMy stay at the hotel was an unpleasant time, the room have flying and crawl insect. There was rat mess in the room.I need some kind of compensation about this unpleasant room, even the bathroom didnt look clean I could not use the towels that was in the bathroom.
I stayed here for one day during a family visit in late May 2015, although Id planned to stay for a week. The experience was so horrible I moved to another motel.I grew up nearby, and we frequently ate here when it was a Howard Johnsons restaurant and motel. By 2002, it had turned into the motel it is now, though I think it had different management. That year, all my extended family stayed here when they visited for my fathers funeral, and reported a great experience at the motel. Its one of the few inexpensive motels in the area, but unfortunately theres a reason for that.I had also stayed here for a couple days around 2007, a room on the second floor, which was modest, but not objectionable. The only bad experience during that visit was when the cleaning help started trying to forcibly open the chained door while I was sleeping despite the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.My mother had arranged a week long reservation in 2015, and had gotten a quote from the owners for the visit. My cross country flight had been delayed and didnt connect, so I was exhausted when I arrived. The room was fairly nice, although a bit mildewy, and it had a big jacuzzi in the bathroom which seemed like it would be a plus, though there was such a strong musk smell in the bathroom that should have been nice, but seemed a bit nauseating. As I was showering, late morning after arriving, the owner or manager started pounding on my door to tell me check out was soon. I said wed reserved for a week, and he informed me the price would go up substantially that day if I wanted to stay longer. They werent honoring the price theyd given for the reservation. I was furious at the interruption and change of terms. So was my mom. We had a big argument with the (Indian?) owner or manager, and an elderly man who seemed to live there butted in and told us they were nice people and we shouldnt talk to them that way. Nice people who lie and dont honor their contracts, we should point out.The brief stay was horrific, and we certainly wont stay there again or allow our relatives to. Too bad, too, since I had fond memories of the location from childhood. I relocated to the Whitman Motor Lodge, and discovered a much better place to stay, at comparable prices.
I stayed for good night sleep, instead it was awful!!!worst hotel i ever stayed in, no hot water, no tv, dirty stinking pillowcase!!!! Stained furniture & also smelled bad!!! Bathroom was filthy, toilet was never cleaned. I really dont think the room was ever cleaned!!!!M. Walker
First of all, the desk clerk was rude and condescending. Secondly, in years of hotel stays, Ive never had to hand over additional money as a damage deposit. They demanded $100 deposit before handing over the key. No coffee and no continental breakfast (as promised). The bed was hard as a rock and the room smelled like mold.
The security door to enter our building was left unlocked instead of requiring our room key as the signage indicated. Our room was not clean. Our bathroom had residue from the prior residents shaving. Our room had a sliding glass door with a bar across. We found out that if you close the door completely, the bar fell out thus negating any security. The desk chair in the room had holes in the arms like one might find if you picked up a chair on the side of the road. The other room we rented had it fridge that leaked all night all over the floor. The bathroom is filthy.
This is the worst hotel experience that I ever had. Outside doors didnt lock getting into where the rooms were . The room smelled like disinfectant was just sprayed. The room looked dirty and dingy with paint peeling off the wall. The tub was old and looked like its over 40 years old. I will never stay there again nor will I ever recommend this hotel to anyone.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Very dirty, very dated. We checked in and checked right back out. Cigarette burn holes in bedspreads, carpet and curtains. Old AC that was filthy. SUPER DIRTY BATHROOM. No breakfast due to covid. That I understand but its advertised as still being offered. Save yourself and please dont stay here.
The whole place felt grimy. The pictures showed actual blankets on the beds but we only had what was essentially 2 sheets on top. I waited till I got home to take a shower. If you only need a place to sleep and dont mind that this place probably rents by the hour, then itll work for you. If you want to feel comfortable and clean ... pay extra to stay any place else.
Positive: The location Negative: Lady at front needs to be more precessional , room needs to be more clean I know it¿s not a very expensive and nice hotel, but something descent that people come back. House keeping never came to clean my room while I was there , will never come ba
This is the worst hotel. Guys please do not stay here. The front desk staff is so rude especially the owners. They do not even give a fitted sheet. There is a reason they have bad reviews so please just don’t stay here. The room is filthy with hair on the desk and cigarette mark in a non smoking room. Pay a little more but stay somewhere else. This is one of the worst service I have experienced.
They are not complying with rules I book a 5 nights stay but had an emergency and wanted to book out after 3 nights and being charged $90 for early book out while my bookings states i had to stay at least 3 nights to get that nightly rate that i was paying ,they didnt honor it
This was possible the most disgusting experience I have ever had at a hotel. It started off as waiting for 20 minutes in the small dank lobby that smelled like a dirty bathroom. We checked in, put our bags in our room which was old and out of date and smelled like smoke. I figured I’d push through it as I would only be there for 2 nights. We ended up going to a restaurant for an early dinner. On returning to the room, we noticed it was not cleaned very well. There was like a booger on the TV, grime on the remote, and hair in the shower/tub. What set me off though, was when I pulled over the comforter to get into bed. BUGS! CRUMBS! The sheets had not been changed. But then we pulled off the fitted sheet, which was the only sheet on that bed. The mattress was stained. Brown and yellow. All over. I have nightmares about it to this day and would not even recommend this to my worst enemy.
Although the room had been recently upgraded they failed to completely upgrade the bathrooms. The tub was probably from 1978 while the rest of the room looked pretty decent the desk chair in the room was completely destroyed. There are large signs throughout the hotel area stating that there are no drugs allowed so Im guessing that they had some problems in the past with druggies? Needless to say I would never stay there again.
The room wasn’t in the best shape, the wall in the room was damaged and the beds were being held up by wooden blocks. The wall in the bathroom had water stains on it and no place to hold toilet paper. The shower was massive and took up much of the space in the bathroom. Speaking of the shower, while it was not an issue for me, be wary of staying here as the shower could be challenging to get into if you have any physical constraints at all. In addition, the floor of the shower was a bit gross. Not all of the outlets in the room worked properly so I had to try a couple to charge both my computer and my phone. Outside of the room, the hallways smelled like cleaning product so strongly I had to avoid breathing until I made it outside and the door inside had to security to get in so anybody can just walk inside. The beds come with few pillows on them and when I asked for two more for my girlfriend and I, after hours of requesting them only one arrived to the room. While waiting I heard the front desk person tell a guest checking in that they only allow two adults per room and there is a strict no visitors policy and had him sign a paper acknowledging it. On top of this weird policy, my girlfriend and I were not informed of it, nor did we need to sign this paper, so I’m left wondering what prompts them informing some people and not others about this policy unless they are deciding based on prejudices. Finally, the door locked and I made it through my stay, so I can’t give the place just one star, but I definitely won’t be coming back.EDIT*In addition to this, after my girlfriend and I both left reviews of this location, our places of work (which are hours away) received negative reviews from two reviewers. Strangely, most of their reviews are from Long Island (again, we are hours away from any location on Long Island), and best of all, their first ever reviews are for this hotel, which are five stars. While this does not affect me much (my place of work has roughly 2,000 reviews, and to be frank, I dont own it), it is amazing to me that rather than listen to the reviews and work on their problems, they instead choose to spend that time trying to harm others.
Great modern interior in this hotel. Exterior is bit outdated. Love the location, pleanty of restaurants & shops on walking distance. Rooms are clean and comfy although the decor takes a little getting used to tile floors is very different. The free breakfast offered limited options. Staff were helpful and friendly. Everyone was very attentive and courteous. Would happily stay here again.
Choice member, my 2nd time staying here, very cozy, customer service A+, checked in late at night and had to leave early but asked, Would it be a issue if I asked for a late check out? They said, without hesitation, just like my 1st stay, No problem at All. Big bath tub, only $100 more for the jets to be turned on, not what I expected, very Pleased!
I needed to stay on LI on short on notice, I normally stay in one of the motels down the road but my usual place was booked and prices were high everywhere. I checked in the hotel after 10PM and they put me in the executive area at least that is what it said on the door. The place is very run down the hall way carpets were very dirty and the door moldings were had a lot of chipping paint. In the room the carpet was dirty, walls were patched and UN-painted, door way were peeling paint. The bathroom towels were dingy white there was a big whirlpool tub with cracked fiberglass and the knobs to turn it on the tub were broken off. On the good side the water pressure was good. My wife would not use the shower. Lastly the TV did not work. And to top it all off they had the nerve to charge > $225 where I normally pay $125 down the street. On this busy weekend this hotel raised it rates over 100%. The same room is ~ $117 when they are not very busy. I get it supply and demand, This place is .5 star at most. I almost forgot they even have safe charge that is automatically charged it is only $1.75 but they do not even tell you about it. not a big deal but just shows what type of place it is.
My stay here was pretty much what youd expect. The staff wasnt very friendly or helpful. My room was not very clean, especially the bathrooms which have a bathtub/shower combo that has seen much better days (who would take a bath in a motel?) and my room had only two working electrical outlets, out of four total. My TV was old, I did notice more modern ones in other rooms though, and I got a lot of channels. Free wifi is available. They advertise a complementary breakfast but I didnt partake in that so I cant comment on it. The bed was not very comfortable. The location is good, being close to the Walt Whitman Shops and Huntington Village. Also, many of the people staying there are placed by Social Services, which didnt effect my stay at all but it may be something to consider.
The lobby and continental breakfast area are very nice and look updated. The rooms are by far the best I have ever stayed in! Very newly updated and beautiful bathroom. They provide more then enough towels, extra toiletries if you forgot them, and in our two double bed room we had a mini fridge and a microwave. The breakfast had a huge selection and was very good. They also have a vending machines near the lobby that sells drinks, small snacks for the late night cravings.
The room is old and run down, but the staff is very friendly and the room is clean. If they got some basic maintenance done, it would make all the difference in the world. Lightbulbs were out, the chair was falling apart, the beds were propped up with 2x4s, and the sheets were threadbare. The most interesting part of our stay was our haunted microwave. Even though it was not used, or programmed to cook, when you open the door, the carousel would voluntarily spin... non-stop 🥺👻
The hotel was quiet but the bed was broken and the toilet didnt flush. The wifi couldnt be used. Everything is old and needs to be updated. The whirlpool tub was broken. I didnt like that the light to the bathroom was behind the door. I tried to plug in my firestick but that hdmi cord broke off. The place can benefit from some new paint. The bed sheets also didnt fit the bed. This place needs to be fixed up and cared for
Hi everyone , night time lady works behind the desk , she is very nice and helpfulThis INN awful very old and very thirty , what ever I say is not enough for this place and price for $ 145.00Frame of bed was broken and they put some 2*4 wood as a leg for frame of bedBathtub was for almost 70 years agoBathroom door was broken , entrance door same thingNo clean ZERO - 0 - believe meIf I know I stay at my car is much much better instead $ 140 .00Next day i want to leave guy’s work behind the desk DANISH was another problemSo my experience is very badI tell to everyone don’t go don’t stay at this place isn’t worth it .
The sound on the tv didnt work, not even the button on the remote, we couldnt even shut off the tv once the front desk clerk turned it on. We had no refrigerator in the room, we basically had to beg to get one in the room from the receptionist. When the maintenance guy came, he thought we had one and it was just broken but we didnt have any. He was shocked too. The breakfast that was served was a poor excuse for a breakfast. No grits, eggs, sausage, bacon, only some bagels, with no cream cheese, only butter, and stale donuts from the day before. The orange juice tasted so bad, I had to throw away. And the coffee made me want to throw up. We went downstairs one of the nights to ask for paper plates and plastic silverware, and it took 10 minutes to get that even though there were two people at the desk. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures and it needs to be upgraded immediately! Other than that, the bed was clean and comfortable and the housekeepers did an amazing job cleaning and restocking the bathroom with towels, other than that being the only good thing about this hotel, I wouldnt even let dog stay here and I dont even have a dog.
Highly recommended. I stayed here for several weeks for work. I especially loved the great service. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the waiters and the maintenance crew were friendly and helpful. The front desk was very helpful and accomodating for everything that came up over my time here. The rooms are modern and clean. There is ample parking. Excellent Location, everything is very close by for driving. The mini-fridge and microwave are great for my long-term stay. I would just say its excellent for everything else!
The hotel staff was very hostile. The amenities that were promised were not in the room or did not work. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty and the faucet for the tub didnt work. It was the cheapest place around where I needed to be and that reflects on the service and quality. I recommend spending a few more bucks and staying somewhere nicer.
I booked 2 rooms for a week week of July 4 2021 incinerator 72122387599038 and72122383680840 when we got there they said nothing available I tried talking to the manager he didn’t listen they treat us like a pice of garbage it went to Hilton hotel south rt. 110 do not walk in to this hotel Waiting for apology
The place is not has how it seems in the picture,we had to put down a $100 deposit for any damage they found when we are leave. Once we were in the room the wall had Mark on it like a child draw on it then I had to ask for a refrigerator because there was none in the room. For breakfast all they had was cornflake, cinnamon cornflakes, bagels which I saw when we were checking in so I knew that it was fresh, bread, butter, milk, orange juice which did not taste good, coffee, and tea. The TV we could not get it to work so the lady at the front desk had to come to the room and turn it on for us we could not hear it the volume button on the remoteI was not working i was so upset and disappointed. I was new to the area so thats why I didnt try to find somewhere else. One thing I know for sure is that I will not recommend this place to anyone I would not even leave my dog there for a day.
One of the worst hotels Ive ever attempted to stay at. The staff was friendly. After that it was all downhill. We got to the room and right away noticed a terrible musty smell. The carpet was slightly damp. We found hair on the pillows that was not ours. The shower/tub was big. However it was right next to the bed. The ac/heating unit appeared to have water damage all around it and on the wall. I went in and told them that I could not stay there and wanted a refund. They did give me a refund, however not the full amount. Once I checked my bank account, the refund was never posted. When I called the hotel, they said they couldnt find a record that I ever had a reservation to begin with! The whole experience was a nightmare. Spend the extra couple bucks and stay somewhere else.
Wife and I went to a Concert at the Paramount Theatre August 1, 2018. We stayed at the Roadway Inn for two nights. The pros about the Hotel is its location. Matteos Trattoria is about 100 yards away and it is excellent! Also, within walking distance is Grocery Store, Pharmacy, Fast Food, and Auto Petrol. Cons: For the price it really could be better! The Buffet was only Bagels and Cereal, Coffee. We checked the mattress corners and we didnt find and Bed Bugs. No Late Checkout!! $ 20 an hour if you dont check out on time! We paid about $ 100 a night. We recommend you pay a little more and go to a nicer hotel. We really hate to write a poor reviews.
The clerk would not accept our company credit card without an authorization form that had to be faxed to our office - This form required that our credit card number be written out in full on it. That made me worry about our company credit card information being written on an unsecured piece of paper. When asked if it could be e-mailed instead, we were told their e-mail was not working and it was still unclear if there was an e-mail version of the form.Regardless, the form was faxed back and forth and the card was used. This entire situation could have been avoided if during the reservation process a notification was issued alerting us that we would need a form to be completed and we could have brought it with us.It is not the worst hotel I have ever experienced but the room was not as clean as it should have been. The headboard had some icky looking substance on it, the floors were not well vacuumed and the room had a musty aftershave odor. The bath tub surface seemed worn to the point that I could not forsee anyone wanting to sit in it to soak and the controls for the tub jets were broken. It also looked as though someone had previously kicked in our bathroom door and cracked it.In the morning when the people upstairs walked around it woke us up because their footsteps were so loud and they caused the light fixture to vibrate on our ceiling.I will give you credit for having better hot water pressure and showerhead than the next hotel we stayed at.
I was very happy with the place. I stayed there from the beginning of January until yesterday May 4th. The 5 guys that I work with including myself didnt ever get bitten by a dam bug. My wife stayed with me for a couple of weeks and she had no problems. The staff did a great job with everything. Really great people! Thanks Demish you are an awesome person.
The hotel claimed rooms were renovated. Still old cracked Jacuzzi bath and fixtures. Removed table reading lamps, no more in-room coffee makers and the exercise room sinks, the A/C, heater in it is broken and the equipment is also in disrepair. I stayed here again to see if it improved - not. First night I had to change room 3 times. Watch out for the in-room safe charge they automatically put on your card till you complain.
Check in and check out were fast. The beds were comfortable. The whole place smelled weird. there was broken stuff everywhere. Our room had no towels in it and it took forever to get some in the morning. I used points on this stay,...16,000 of them... I feel that this property is worth half that. Breakfast was pitiful and sad. We didnt eat anything at the hotel.
Our room smelled of cigarettes even though we asked for non smoking. The shower is horrible. Its a big jaccuzi with doors to make it look like a shower. I had a hard time entering my room with the key. Under the cable box was disgusting. It had sticky stuff underneath and was dirty. When we checked out, they didnt tell us that they charged us for using the safe in the room, but we didnt use it. We noticed the charge because we asked to see the charges but they didnt say anything. My family and I will NECEE return to this place. It is trash. They charge ridiculous rates for a horrible room.
Staff was very accommodating for a situation I ran into that was way beyond my control. The Choice Customer hotline didnt want to hear anything, but the staff at the hotel was able to help me big time given the situation. The room was comfortable, heat worked great, shower was hot what more could I want when I cant be in my home.
Room was smelly to the point where I had to open windows for 30 minutes or longer at a time to get at least some fresh air to breathe. Not sure if it was the carpet or the mattress or the walls, but it smelled like old, smelly house. Also towels were not 100% new/clean. They looked like theyve been washed, but not exactly new/clean. Overall, bad impression. I wont stay there again.
Exceptionallu helpful and accommodating staff when I was without a place to stay.i came for a concert this past labor day weekend. When my place to stay fell through on the night before the start of the labor day weekend, I scrambled and found this place. It isnt the Ritz Carlton but it filled the bill. When I accidentally grabbed a smoking room, the staff was able to help me out and got me a non-smoking, upgraded room! Im very grateful to the staff for all of their help. Saw the concert and had a good stay.
The room that they gave me was super disgusting. There were mud stains on the carpet, the heater didnt work and the walls had unpainted patches with weird stains on it. Becareful, there are way better choices in the area. If I could I would give this place zero stars. Third parties shouldnt do business with this hotel and others should stay far away.
I hate saying this because the staff is actually very nice but DO NOT stay here. Even if you think you just need a bed and shower, skip it. The room smelled like mold but thats probably because the shower was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. About 5 ft. from the bed to be exact. Speaking of the bed, it was too hard and the pillows too soft. I was so uncomfortable we couldnt sleep.
I found the Rodeway Hotel to be a convenient and economical alternative for a brief overnight stay. The staff was courteous, the room clean and comfortable, and the service prompt. While one should not expect luxury given the affordable price of the rooms, the Rodeway exceeded my expectations at the price I paid. A good low cost option that worked well for me.
This place is not well maintained at all. Desk clerk was very kind and welcoming but the room was unacceptable. Toilet ran all night, cracked tile in the bathroom floor, light fixture missing shade, heavily worn furnishings. I could go on and on. Would only stay here if there were no other options.
The hotel in general is run down and needs renovations. The price for the room is quite steep for the quality of the room, but overall, our stay was decent. We were upgraded at no additional charge to a room with a jacuzzi, but oddly enough, the jacuzzi was located in the room next to the bed. Also, only one jet in the tub worked and there was no light in the tub/shower area.
I stay at different hotels all around in new England, NY and NJ almost 3 months out of 12. None of the hotel or staff make me that much angry. Do Not fool by the look of front desk and breakfast area. No table lights, room smells like mold, NO Safe in the room but charged for it. The TV from 1980 17 inch and blurry. If you like jacuzzi, they have it in the room but advice you to bring cleaner product with you, very dirty.
Besides AC not working properly .. all night long .. a noise emanating from either the microwave or the refrigerator was sounding LOUDLY enough ..like a timer for a bomb counting down ... incessantly and never stopping .. after a long drive ... mostly bumper to bumper traffic from New Jersey and across the GW bridge .. as well as the Cross Bronx Expressway.. to the L.I.E. ... had to be at a jobsite at 7am ... best thing about the continental breakfast was the hot coffee ... otherwise there was very little selection .. as well as area for breakfast ... room left a lot to be desired.. positive note ... check in personnel was very friendly and helpful
The managers and the staff are very nice people. They are easy to get along with and strike conversation with. Their services are very well mannered. The will check on you to see how you and your family are. They will ask for advice how to make the hotel better. They are good people to ask for advice.
Got a room , they wanted a hundred dollar deposit...ok fine..the TV in the room was not plugged in...when I plugged it in,it didnt work. The whirlpool bath did not work...when I ran the hot water, the tap leaked very hot water...also put shower on for rinse off....the enclosure leaked water all over the floor...I wont even discuss the bathroom sink....most gas stations are better....if you decide to stay here...ASK TO SEE THE ROOM FIRST! I paid for something I did not get, when I complained the next morning, there was no apology, nothing...the people at the front desk do not care about their guests at all...I was treated like dirt...I dont know what they wanted a deposit for....almost everything in the room was already damaged or broken...there was a nice office chair, and the fridge worked..oh...and if you want a smoking room, bring your own ashtray, no ice buckets...seriously? The Rodekill Inn...dump!
Very run down. Rooms look like they have Goodwills thrown away furniture, abandoned cars with flat tires, and looks like a warehouse for vending machines. I am an Elite Diamond member. I have tried to be patient and understanding during my stays for business. I gave an honest review before and managements reply to my review was I just dont think were going to be able to please you, and think it would be best for all of us if you choose to stay somewhere else. A review is meant for other travelers to help decide if they want stay at this hotel based upon what other travelers had experienced. When Managements reply to a negative review is ***stay somewhere else***...enough said.
Our room had no working electrical outlet on my side of bed for my medical machines. When I asked the desk for help or an extension cord they were questioning my needs. I then when back to my room to find out that there was no working shower/ tub. And the reason I was freezing at night was a hole in the outside door. The room was clean, the bathroom not so much. The office style chair was broken and the only place to put away clothing was in a free standing closet with 3 little drawers. If it wasnt for the holidays I would have checked out.
Horrible. dirty, cold, unkept. I couldnt make the room any warmer so I asked the front desk for an extra comforter. The gentleman delivered to my door a previously used, not even folded comforter. All the linens smelled, the room had mildew. What else can I say? it was a terrible experience.
The Rodeway Inn Huntington hotel is under new management and I really loved the Big Bathtub. The lady that worked the breakfast area whose name was Silvia did a great job. It was obvious she loved her job and did everything possible to help us enjoy our breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was in a serious state of disrepair.Security locks on exterior doors were removed.Smoke Detector in room was missing with wires hanging out of walls.Water was leaking from corridor ceiling with tiles missingThere appeared to be black mold in the bath roomElectric outlets were missing plates.Bath room light had only 2 of 4 required bulbs installed leaving 2 sockets exposedGeese were grazing on the front lawnThe staff was very indifferent when my key card stopped working for no apparent reason. All in all my stay was a VERY BIG disappointment.
You get what you pay for. I read horror stories about this place but, its not that bad, just older and needs updating. Some staff needs an interpreter or they are hard of hearing. For me the price is right and the rooms have coffee, a microwave, and fridge. The bed is comfortable, seems clean, just dated.
Where do I begin! Im here on my last night of my stay. Check in was friendly enough. I knew from walking up the rusted metal subway-resembling steps that this was probably a mistake.I was greeted with one of 3 lights working, all lamps, no ceiling light. The TV is circa 1992, and there was an actual VCR next to it. I kid you not. In 2015, You can get an 32 flatscreen for $200. Inexcusable. The comforter was full of holes and stains. The alarm clock was completely broken. The motel is actually infested with cockroaches. Im on my 5th kill so far. The tub features Jacuzzi jets, but no one in their right mind would take an actual bath in it, because its beyond filthy with stains and mold. There is no actual toliet paper dispenser/holder. It sits on the bathroom sink. The only available outlet to charge my phone was in the bathroom. To use my laptop, I unplugged one of the dead lamps.Decades outdated, roach-infested, and dirty? Ill never stay here again. The only attractive part about it is the price, and Ill gladly spend an extra $30 a night the next time around.Seriously, this was an awful motel by any standard. Were talking hundreds of thousands in renovations before you can call this anything but a roach motel.
This Hotel is in sad shape . Sorely in need of renovation. Checked in and had to change rooms because the door wouldnt close properly, gap where you could see into room. Lighting fixture cover missing and bulb missing. Furniture worn with torn upholstery. Overall shabby appearance. Second room was just as bad.
My major probelm was with the room. I noticed a lack of proper maintanence with the room. This the list ofproblems we found with the hotel:1. There was black mold on the walls and ceiling near the windows2. Water stains on the ceiling and walls above the window.3. Mold and mildew in the shower/ tub.4. Dirty carpet throughout the room, wallpaper was peeling away from the walls and was stained5. I notified the staff of the condition of the room, but received no satisfactory responseWe have stayed at many Choice Hotels both in country and oversees and never had seen a room in such bad condition. I do believe that Choice Hotels management needs to look into this hotel and help them meet the standards set by the Corporate office.
Checked in late with my fiancée. The staff was freindly and helpful. We stayed five days. The tub is huge and has jacuzzi jets on a timer. We enjoyed those and we were happy to have a mini fridge and microwave. We didnt have a car with us and were also very pleased to be near a Rite Aid, King Kullens, KFC, and a nice Italian place, the Pomodorino, which we highly recommend aswell. The place was clean, tho a with a couple minor burns in a sheets. The staff was very accommodating, recommending food locations and asking if we needed breakfast to be extended as we should up late one day. My only con is that the Internet was hit or miss, used my mobile hotspot for most internet needs. Bottom line, would stay again next time we are in town.
It was good time to stay in this place, also breakfast was delicious. Also it is good place to stay here because little plaza and very good restaurants around here. They are customer services is awesome, also Manager and staff they are very helpful. Also i enjoy here because my room nice and clean, room was warm in this winter time, and room was very comfortable for me and my family.
Its not a bad place but its a mix of people who are homeless and the paying customer. This place has a contract with the Dept of Social Services, so during the winter months the homeless are place here, so its a mix of people. The people who are placed here know that if they cause problems they will be asked to leave and barred from returning. Other than the place isnt bad.
No a good experience, the room had a lopsided king bed, reeked of cigarettes. The whirlpool bath could not be used, there was no stopper for the water. The bathroom sink leaked. The Internet Service was poor, it kept cutting off. The TV was so old and did not work well.
The room is outdate. It looks broken down inside. The bathroom door is crack. I wish i could get my money back. The roomservice ppl are nice but you can tell the vacuum doesnt work because u can see the rug still dirty.... Overall this hotel is in needed of bigg upgrade..
Had a hard time checking in at 2am because we booked with points from business account and my wife didnt have ID from booking even though I had mine. The guy behind the counter was able straighten it out after 20 minutes which was good. Got to room and the television only offered 5 channels and the TV was broken with cracked screen. 1 pillow for the bed which was paper thin. Snickers bar from vending machine was 1.50. Bathroom looked dirty but it was just paint from recent remodel. Never provided wifi password and overall bad experience. Thanks rodeway inn @ Hungtington Station.
I slept well the 1st night and so on..Fresh brew coffee is available all day.Easy access to shopping malls. Super market is across the street.Walking distance to well known burger and chicken fast food stores. And, the environment is quiet. The front desk persons always talk to you friendly no matter day or night.I certainly will come to visit this lodge next time when I come to LI.
I strongly advise anybody not to stay at this place . I just got released from 3 days in the hospital for infection from bites all over my left leg. The place is infested with roaches and bed bugs and is very dirty. I have pictures which I am giving to health department on Monday. Also MANAGEMENT is very nasty, when told about this situation he told me to get out and if I posted anything he would call police and make a false report against me. STAY AWAY THEY ALSO HOUSE HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO CANT STAY IN SHELTERS FOR CERTAIN REASONS.
This is an old and outdated hotel that not very clean and has extremely limited potential. I stayed here because I had no other options. Do not gauge this hotel by its website pictures as you will be lead astray by the window dressing job that the hotel does to lure you in. The room was very worn and fairly dirty upon our arrival.
Well I booked a room after searching online with my boo. Get to the room and the room is disgusting. Graffiti on the wall, carpet hasnt been cleaned since they open, walls are filthy, I can go on and on. Power button on tv didn’t work. Was told i can smoke cigarettes but not weed. I’m done just look at the pics....IMG_0804.HEICIMG_0813.HEICIMG_0815.HEICIMG_0817.HEIC
This is a very nice Inn, and I have stayed here many times. I will continue to give my business to this location. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are clean, and quiet. It is in a good location, and perfect for business travel. Prices for rooms are fair, as many hotels in the area are high priced. I would reccomend this Rodeway Inn to others, for business travel.
The customer service was not quite good , we have this feeling that they already have your money so make your stay and get out , if you have any need while you are in your room, dont bather call and ask because they will ask you to come and get it for your self. My first impression before getting There was thay the price was reasonable comparing with others hotel but at the end I think I get so much less then what I pay for .
ONE OF THE TOP 3 WORST (in 20YR memory) Condescending nite staff, 2 OUT OF 7 room Lites &/or Switches DIDNT work...INCLUDING the tub/Jacuzzi ones. The 2-bedside lites were plugged in2 a NON-FUNCTIONING power strip ! However, when I had 2re-dress & physically take power strip to the office @ 1:30AM; only 2be talked 2 like I was Lucky 2have a bed - & Where did I get it from / What did I do 2it !! IF THIS WAS ONLY PLACE ON LI....ID SLEEP IN MY CAR !!
Immediately upon walking in you see the carpet un-vacuumed and full of debris and white visible stains throughout. Bathroom was not swept, hair visible all over floor and shower. Although the toilet had the sanitized for your protection seal on it, upon lifting the lid there were visible urine and feces stains as the toilet had clearly not been cleaned for some time.
After checking in at 7 something. around 2:30AM security tried not once but twice to enter our room. Saying that people sneak in. I checked in with my husband. He feared that they thought I was alone and might try to assault me. And by the way. No heat in the rooms they have portable heaters in all the rooms
My free night reward were used at this hotel. I regretted my choice with this location. Front desk was not pleasant & treated me like I was a nuisance rather than a guest. Room was outdated and lacked comfort because tub was not working. I wont be staying at this location ever.
I was very scared going to the Inn at first looking at the reviews and thinking this is nasty, disturbing and I would not enjoy this location. The outside was a little suspect when I pulled in but as I went to customer service the process was simple and easy I later returned to my room which was cockroach free the bed was nice and the bathroom was up to par along with the T.V and cable box. My whole experience was wonderful and if you needed to stay for a night for whatever reason I would recommend it for the price.
I opened my door at the rodeway inn to find a little person and several farm animals defecating in the toilet. The motel staff must be training animals to use the toilets. and the motel staff are all little people. overall a great experience, met alot of good people and animals. the comforter barely had any stains or burn holes.
Police always there. Very dirty got my car broken into. Its a horrible motel of scum with dirty condoms everywhere and very rude front office that treats customers horrible. They dont like American people the woman working there made a comment about how Americans are rude and wish we wouldnt come to their motel.
Run, dont want from this hotel. Calling it a dump is insulting to dumps. Bed spread had multiple holes in it, bathtub had water coming out of faucet, bathroom had 1 of 4 lights working. When they make up room, they unlock it and just walk away leaving any/all of your valuables totally unsecured. Hotel staff has no clue about customer service!!
From the check in at 8:00 pm which took nearly 30 minutes to the clerk who told me the delay was to change the linens in the room, to the floor not being swept, to the hair in the bathroom, to the shampoo already being used, to the dirty breakfast area, to the lack of effort by the staff to have any interest in making the hotel any better. Ill never stay there again!
This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed these people made us feel like family the rooms were clean and comfortable, We hated to leave and Denish the Manager is Amazing he goes above and beyond to accommodate, will really miss him and his staff Thank You Denish we will definatly be back to visit some day

Well ive had the worst experiece of my life in my rhodeway in stay,,at Huntington station long island new york,. Came in for a family emergency with my wife, &was sent to different rooms because all the rooms had an issue,, broken head biards, plumbing, &electric outlets,&finally thw water leak in the ceiling next ti the bed, ontop of shady characters on the premesis,.broken down cars in the parking lot, &heavy drug use,had not witnessed a sale, nor did i stick around to witness what i already know is going on,.this stay should have been compted by the manager,(&im not starving for a free stay, nor was i looking for this stay ro be so outrageous)but all i got from the manager was excuses,&he felt threatened, but i assured him the anger i was having,,(i work hard for my money)very bad managerial skills in this place,i recommend a full investigation by the town of Huntington staion,&its police departments,,to avoid further embarrassing situations for.other first timers local or from out if town like myself,,.one bad apple in the town of Huntington station for sure,i will never stay here or recommend this place to anyone!!!!
Sucked, wall paper was peeling off top walls, bed was stained under pad, not comfortable at all, heat either too hot or too cold, dresser drawers didnt stay closed, night table drawer had no handle and too came off, and had a huge hot tub that couldnt be used cause handles were taken off and sign turned upside down, also showed sprayed everywhere from top.
Arrived 4 hours later than we told the front desk, very excited to find out that they held the room we specified for us, have stayed here often and always since first arriving been treated like royalty, staff if much more professional than youd gather ffrom looking at the place, very on point very helpful, thanks for the wonderful stays!

2022-06-26This motel resembles something out of a 1970’s slasher movie. When entering the room you are greeted with a wall size mural of a nighttime city skyline. At first, I thought I was entering a photo studio to take pictures. This must be the upgrade they were referring to from the previous reviews. The closet to hang your clothes is literally a file cabinet! Let’s discuss the bathroom shower. Upon turning on the shower, the shower head, which is not fitted properly ,begins to spray water like a sprinkler not only on the person who is showering but all over the ceiling and floor. When I got out the shower, the floor was flooded. Not to mention the difficulty in getting the right mixture of hot and cold water. After almost getting burned, I was able to figure it out and leave the setting all the way to the cold side. The door key works when it wants too and the beverage machine was completely empty! During my time in the army I had better accommodations living in a tent. You are better off sleeping in a sleeping bag under a tree somewhere. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!

2022-04-30DO NOT STAY HERE. Booked a non smoking room with double beds. We received a room with an ashtray and ashes everywhere. There was white stains on the sheets. Dark stains on the mattress. Holes in the walls. Wallpaper peeling off. Burn holes in carpet and all over the bed sheets. Stains on pillows and the cases. Bathroom was also not clean. We complained to front desk. He assured us it was a non smoking room. But said nothing about how dirty the room was. He would not refund money but he gave us “the best room they have” which was still dirty and stain filled bed. However it was an upgrade compared to the other room. A bit on the cold side. No breakfast available. If it wasn’t so late we would have cut our losses and found somewhere else to stay. Please don’t stay here. Definitely bugs here.

2022-06-12Talk about comfort. I felt like I was sleeping on the most peaceful cloud last night. The continental breakfast was spot on with plenty of options. Beautiful lobby with lovely couches to relax in! Highly recommend

2022-02-10Worst experience ever! These people are such a scamers, I booked a room two months ago thinking Id have a good experience, the room was so cold and the heater wouldnt work, so I decided to not stay there and ask them a refund. Two months later theyre still refusing to give me my money back and theyre not giving me any answers. If you want to be comfortable then dont book a room here, also consider that youll lose your money whether if you stay or not.

2022-06-27WHAT A TRASH HOLE HOTEL!!! Do not stay here. Rooms covered in mold. Bed sheets are stained. Smells like someone is smoking in the rooms. Bathrooms are covered in mold. Some rooms have holes in the walls. My friend found cockroaches in the AC unit. Avoid this place at all times. I would not want to stay there even if it was free.

2022-06-12ZERO rating. Worst experience ever. Sketchy, unsafe and disgusting. I knew something wasn’t right so I took a picture of how I left my back pack and bag on top of one another. Later I came back to my bag not in the same spot after looking back on the photo. Clearly someone watched my friend and I leave and sneak into our room to see what we had in our bags. Unbelievable.

2022-05-04Positive: It was convenient to the event we were attending. On the main roadway. Negative: The hallways when you entered at first would make you think twice but the room was not bad. Definitely room for updating the hallways. Its a motel.

2022-07-10THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! NEVER STAYING THERE AGAIN!!! The entrance to the hsllway smelled like urine. The room was terrible. The walls were dirty, the sheets, the bed, the lamp, the AC. Basically everything was tarnished. The smell of mold/ mildew was in the air. The placement of the jacuzzi made me wonder wth was going through the minds of these people who installed it. The bed looks like it had drops of blood or whatever that was. There were cigarette burns on the sheets. Where the AC was has mold. The whole experience was just gut wrenching. And dont even talk about the type of people that stay there. There was someone above us who was up allllll day into the night, into the morning moving around and making tons of noise moving furniture and whatever else he/ she/ they was/were doing up there. The pictures I have here are no where close to what their website has. They definitely have false advertising.DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! IT IS UNSANITARY!!!... The city should shut them down to be honest. ZERO stars.
