You get what you pay for. Its inexpensive so the room is small, the lampshade is short so the light is in your eyes, and you feel every spring in the mattress so you may feel achy in the morning. The non-smoking room stunk of cigarettes. BUT the room was clean, big TV, mini fridge with freezer, nice staff and inexpensive. May be a good last resort.
Looking at this place you’re not impressed or interested but inside has been somewhat remodeled and the rooms are clean and reasonably updated. The bathrooms could use some help but everything worked perfect. Beds were small but comfortable. Staff was nice and it was quiet! I do like quiet. For the price this is a good spot.
It was horrible,... my boyfriendwent to go see his son it was a quick trip so what happened was..we came back and the room key didnt work..we went down to the front office and told them..so she said how it was booked for one night instead of 2 nights my boyfriend had the e mail were it says how many nights you stay..so she said that whoever checkedUs in put it in for as 1 night so my boyfriend told them that how its not his fault its there .he ended up having to pay an extra night
Its all about location and pricing. My husband and I stayed here on 9/10-11 for a special event close to the place we all were meeting. This Rodeway has smoking rooms (which suited hubby) and a large screen TV but little else to recommend it other than the first sentence. There was no breakfast whatsoever (COVID-19), not even coffee.Room was fairly clean and doors open from the outside. If you like nicer accommodations, look elsewhere.

I was trying to get a room for 2 nights and I wasn’t no reason the front desk person told me he wasn’t able rent me the room I asked why he said because I made a big miss the las time for 8 years I’m renting this place and this was the first time I found this person in the front desk Friday March 4 hopefully the owner see this. So he move this peaple out of his business

I mean, its a Rodeway Inn Motel. It is what it is! I will say, though, that the rooms were clean and the custodial staff very definitely took care in that fact.
Positive: Location. Perfect area for all of ones needs. Hot water works great. Ive stayed in a few different rooms at Rodeway each room has at least 1 thing needing fixing. Staff usually friendly. Offers room service mostly until 3pm. Negative: Freezer was so small because of all the ice buildup around it.couldnt fit anything in it. Some TVs dont work good like 1 tv has volume very loud at level 2 and the muted at 1. Staff knocking on doors very early way before the 11am checkout. Thin walls

Asian owned place. Terrible very difficult experience with petty ignorant people. Hotel would not honor a reservation already made (which was a low rate). Which left us stranded and tired. (Did see) pictures of the room did not match actual.Deceptive ad doesnot show the whole truth. problem is greed. All these people want is the money (the most they can get) and give you as little as possible. And they have it down to a science which interferes with a vacationer or a traveler trying to relax and get away. That is unacceptable!
I walked in to check in, and the machines in the lobby were still out of order, something I saw on review from a few mo the ago. The building and my room stunk of cigarette smoke, even though I booked a non-smoking room. It smelled so bad that I chose to leave about 2 hours after I arrived and booked another hotel room. The bathroom had use soaps on the vanity and in the shower and the shower was dirty. The bed linens were very low rent, and made me itchy. Overall a bad experience.
It was a good stay! Please clean/disinfect your remotes. That was the only issue I had.
The first room that was given to me (106) smelled like someone had just finished smoking a cigarette. Then there was the mold. Visible in the corner of the wall and on the ceiling where they tried to paint over it. The mold and humidity smell is unbearable. The outdated room wouldnt have been a problem if it werent for the other major complaints. I was moved to room 148 because of the above issues. This room also smelled horribly of cigarettes, mold and mildew. The carpets are torn and stained. There is dust lingering all along the corners and walls. Long black hair left in the shower from someone else. The mini fridge was filthy. I could go on. The only reason I stayed after seeing the conditions of the second room was because I was too exhausted and needed sleep. My experience was horrible but I look at it as a lesson learned.

Im not usually a complainer but this place smelled like mold. It was so bad it upset my sinuses. The room wasnt clean and everything felt damp. Lastly its the month of July and the A/C doesnt work. Thank God we brought a portable fan.
Smokers: This is hotel is top tier when it comes to smoking rooms. If it wasn’t for the ash tray- you wouldn’t know it was a smoking room. Room was super clean. Has a fridge, microwave, closet and drawer space. Standing shower was very clean. Bed wasn’t super comfortable but it was okay. This is my go to hotel mid island.
Extremely satisfied customer. Very clean rooms. Large flat screen TV. Nice staff and very safe feeling. Great water pressure in the shower. The shower also stayed hot for full length of shower. Large king size bed very comfortable to sleep in. Extra cold refrigerator. Room had microwave also. The AC had u cold at night, I had to lower every night. Would stay again and definitely recommend to others.
I stay at this property several times a year. The entire staff is a pleasure to talk to. Check in is fast and the rooms are extremely clean. They have big screen TVs, microwaves, refrigerators, and a desk with comfortable chair. The heat and ac work well and the water in the showers hot. It is a well maintained property. I recommend this Rodeway completely. I have stayed in just about all of the hotels in the area and I choose to come back as it meets my needs 100%.
I only recommend staying here if your on a budget and want safe location. Rooms need attention to cleanliness such as carpet shampoo, deodorizing, bathroom needs mold removal from shower knob.
The Rodeway Inn was absolutely filthy and the non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes. I requested a room change due to the smell and the man at the front desk stated in the most condescending tone, next time book in a completely non-smoking hotel if you dont want to smell smoke. The bathroom was disgusting, the carpet was filthy, the mini fridge was dirty and smelled.
The hotels safety was poor, the rooms were in terrible condition, smelly and gross. The was a used bandaid on the floor next to the bed. The was sand in the shower as if it had backed up but not cleaned out, the carpet was stained and stinky, the property it’s self appeared to be neglected and made me feel uncomfortable, the doors to the buildings were not secure, the windows we’re flimsy and looked as if they were designed for people to break in the room. Not recommended.
Very decent budget motel. Room was very small but clean. My only complaint would be the bathroom is extremely narrow. If you are claustrophobic or larger in size, you might not want to use the bathroom. Other than that, everything was at its peak for a 2 star hotel.
Only issue was that the floor could have been cleaner. Otherwise, the room was clean and well supplied. Staff was pleasant as well
Door was broken, cracked the length of the door, at the locking mechanism on two rooms. People smoking pot in the parking lot. At least they refunded my money and cancelled my reservation when I left to another hotel.
It aint the Ritz. The rooms are a bit small and the blankets a bit thin but it is inexpensive and newly remodeled and clean. The staff is pleasant, vending machine prices reasonable, it has a nice TV, and I like being able to park 10 feet away from my bed. I gave it 5 stars, not because it comparable to staying at a $10,000/night hotel but because it is very nice for this price point in this area.

Just finished my 2 night stay here with my husband and 2 kids. Well worth the money! Everyone is kind and friendly also very helpful. Room was clean and smelled fresh, which was nice. The kids enjoyed making their own waffles for breakfast and I can honestly say they tasted great! Will definitely be staying again the next time we are in the area!
I was in town for a wedding and had driven all day to get there. The first night, I was awake until 4-5am because several people in the two rooms next to me were screaming and yelling, watching tv loud with the room door to the parking lot open, and breaking windows. The room was fine and the person who checked me in was friendly. $100 a night is a lot of money for me and that type of activity just shouldn’t be allowed past a certain time. The second night was quieter.
Stayed 6/11/20. Room was good size and clean. Bathroom also very clean. Good value for the price. Tv though, not so good. Quite a few channels didnt work so well. Also, a bit outdated compared to similar motels. Over all still worth the stay would most likely stay again when needed.

Its a nice place. Some rooms are smaller than others but they all are nice. The only thing that happens everytime I am here is the room service gets worse as the week goes on. Monday and Tuesday ya get 3 towels, 4 soaps and 3 shampoos. Come Friday, 1 towel, no soap and 1 shampoo. I have been here on and off for 2 months and it is always the same. The best I can say is stay one night, check out and come back as a new reservation. You may have better luck with accommodations.
I give it a poor rating for appearance. The rug is all stained. Room has a horrible smell. The bathroom door is cracked and broken as if someone kicked it in or punched it. You can hear the springs in the beds as they sink down when you sit or lay on them. Not comfortable. Very worn looking room. I give it good rating for courteous check in and staff. I personally will not stay here again.

This place needs some improvement, we needed a room change due to a filthy dirty bathroom, a smell, and we could tell the rooms weren’t vacuumed all around. This was definitely not clean but it had a good location with places to eat all around but over all it needs improvement

But all in all.. Nice for the Price! : )
The room was simple and clean. There was a nice big chair to sit in and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. I really appreciated the instant hot water. I could shower and use the sink without freezing. There was a nice bath sized towel for the shower. There was a tiny coffee pot in the room but there was 24 hr coffee in the lobby. The breakfast was nice, there was bagels, donuts, waffle batter, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs among other things. There was plenty of coffee and juice. It was a nice stay!
SRoom smelled.. I got sick from being in it.. We went and bought air fresheners.
The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast had a good selection of your basics (bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, etc.). Stayed in a smoking room which was very clean, but could use some updating. Understandable why the smoking rooms do not get updated as often as regular rooms. Good for the price and close to everything.
Ive stayed a couple weekends here its a pretty good place to stay. Ive stayed in most of the rooms that they had. the worst one were the two bed in the back of the place Ive stayed upstairs. Definitely in need of a renovation, coloring on the walls, smoke holes in the blankets mind you every time Ive stayed I always got a non smoking room. Shower wasnt working well seemed like they dont take good care of the rooms so much as they do in the front. The rooms closer to the office building was very clean had no complaints, but my favorite room that Ive stayed in was the king bed in the rear, kinda seemed like it had its separate building on the far left upon arriving, no complaints at all the room was very clean a lot bigger and more of a hotel feel to it. If and when I do go back I will defiantly request staying there. I do recommend booking way ahead of time because the rooms get book pretty quick. otherwise pretty good prices they have discounts if your AAA member, the down side is the prices arent always he same, it can change from one day to the next day but other then that I enjoyed my time here.
For the price this place is awesome. everything is very clean- including the remote control. The outside of the building is deceiving because it makes it look gross but the bed was so comfortable and clean I couldnt help but pass out right away. Its a quiet area. I also liked that the people at the front desk asked me about my billing address because it was different from my ID. I appreciate people who look for things like that. I am a happy customer.
At first i was skeptical but, upon entering i was greeted by a friendly staff at the lobby the check-in process was very quick and was easy.getting into the room i saw that it was very clean. i was unable to find any major issue with the exception of a bad drywall patch above the bathroom, which was barely noticeable. the room was very clean and i was pleased to see the were not using those terrible comforters that was posted on the pictures( its better than they showed they should update them).they provide coffee enough for 3-4 depending on how much you drink and plenty of clean individually wrapped cups. the bathroom was aqueduct with a nice sink, toilet and shower however, a better shower head would have made a big difference. the room was equipped with a 40 inch or so flat tv but the reception was good enough for grandma but was lacking the clarity for my technical expectations. the color choice of the paint was very appropriate and made me feel like i was in a guest room of my familys home it was vibrant and soft and the furniture was very appropriate for the decor. the rug was clean but could have used a steam clean as it looked like it was about 10 years old this was the major look thats holding the room back from being a clearly extraordinary look.

The staff were friendly and helpful; the rate was inexpensive; the hallways and outside of the hotel are older and need updating (e.g. peeling wallpaper), but the room itself had comfortable furnishings and linens. The only problem was that although building 3 is non-smoking, the whole building smelled heavily of smoke. So much so that when I got to a truly non-smoking hotel the next evening and unpacked my bag, the shirt I wore in my room at the Rodeway Inn still reeked of cigarette smoke. This is a deal-breaker for me, but if it doesnt bother you, then the hotel is okay.
We’re pretty familiar with the Choice brands and this is easily the best Roadway Inn I’ve ever seen.The hotel is unassuming with exterior walkways and it certain looks like a budget motel from the outside, but when we stepped into our room we felt like we were in a miniature Comfort Suites.The room was small, but it was clean, updated, and very nice looking. That extended to the bathroom also.Honestly I don’t have a single complaint. This is our new “go-to” hotel when flying out of ISP.

This room was of fair to good quality. Beds were a bit hard, but clean. We needed to changed rooms our a/c was not cold enough the manager was quick on changing them even though the hotel was booked. Breakfast area was small but food was good and fresh. I enjoy the waffles when I go to the hotels.
Upon check in, I asked to be kept as far away from the smoking rooms as possible. I was told that all the non smoking and smoking rooms are scattered. Which means that there will be smoking rooms right next to non smoking rooms, which makes absolutely no sense to me! When we got into the room, the room smelled like smoke. We didnt ask to change because that place was going to be difficult and if they allow smoking every other room, than all the rooms will smell like that. I have worked in many hotels. The beds were way uncomfortable. The shower didnt even have a head on it. Way bizarre. It was a very bad experience.
Ive been here for a while and Ive enjoyed my stay. Its peace and quiet. Not a lot of traffic. The room I was in was clean. The service there is excellent. Im going back there.
Our Hotel was clean, neat, and just the right size for 2 people. the bathroom was well stocked, and everything worked. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. And the price was MORE than right. The staff was very friendly. The complementary breakfast was....adequate.
Ill start off with the positives.. The staff was friendly, the room was big with a large bathroom and the location was good. Now the not so positives.. The room smelled like stale smoke even after the cleaners sprayed their overpowering sanitizing spray as we were getting ready to walk into the room. The bed was super uncomfortable, which I know can be a personal preference but neither myself or my husband found it to be comfortable and he likes firm and I like softer. The floor felt strange, almost damp and sticky. The overall stay wasnt horrible but I dont think we would stay again. The cost of the room does not match what you get.
I stayed here for a couple of nights with my husband and first night I stayed I woke up with itchy bites on my body. Tubs need to be cleaned properly both our feet’s is peeling. It’s like fungus.
Rooms are small but adequate. Residual smoke smell in a non-smoking room made all of my clothes smell unpleasant but overall a good value.
Checking in was quick and friendly. Room very comfortable. I loved the shower. Water stream very strong and stayed hot. Many towels and many pillows on the bed. Breakfast was available early which I liked and my room was a smoking room (almost nonexistent today). Thank you for that. It was nice not having to go outside to smoke.The hotel was very convenient in the way of closeness to stores, gas stations, highways, etc. I will be there again next year, God willing. P.S. The only thing missing was an outdoor swimming pool. That would have been the icing on the cake.

Check in was a breeze, was able to pay cash, staff was very polite. Room (and bathroom) were considerably smaller then other Choice economy hotels Ive stayed at in the past. Room was clean, no funky smells. Bed could have been a bit softer and pillows could have been a bit better.Cant really complain much given the price point. Id stay here again if I wanted to save some money.
The people at the front desk, were very nice helpful and friendly. The room on the other hand wasnt, the carpet was dirty bed was ripped on the sides and looks like they just sprayed for bedbugs. The bathroom was very clean, the room was musty and the luggage rack had mold on it. Coffee pot was dirty, God knows what was in it. Time for a complete renovation of the rooms, get the dirt out and replace the bed carpet clean the rooms up.
For one person staying a few days it’s fine. Hotel staff are excellent but the room was small with the king size bed. We could not move around freely. No closet, no large dresser, no storage around bathroom sink. We couldn’t stay there for seven days and live out of our suitcase. So we said good by and a few blocks away to a hotel chain that better suited our needs.
The hotel looks like most any other Rodeway Inns from the outside, nothing fancy. The lobby is nice, check-in / out were quick, the front desk persons were very businesslike and not very chatty. My King Room was in the Building 3, farthest from the front office. Plenty of well-lit parking. Upon entering the building, the smell of cigarette smoke in the central hallway is overpowering and nauseating. My non-smoking room, however, did not smell at all. The room was nicely furnished and decorated, maybe recently renovated. Housekeeping did a good job as the room was quite clean. Everything worked fine and I got a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. If you need a decent place near MacArthur Airport, this place should do it, but prepared to pay a little more than its really worth.
Reasonable priced nice room some are different, I stayed in a nice one. The furniture was more modern. Bed was comfortable & the heat worked very well & so did the fridge. It was clean & I would recommend it to anyone. The breakfast is a bit skimpy, they didnt even have oatmeal, but there was a breakfast & the coffee was great.
At check in the front desk person was cordial and professional. However, the room was not just dated, which I expected, the room was not clean. The carpet was sticky. The room smelled of mildew or mold. There were cigarette burns in the blankets and bodily fluids on both of the decorative bed covers. They did accommodate and refund for an early check-out.
Very nice place, just what you need, bed, shower, tv! They came right away with an issue with the tv and fixed it. I recommend this place for a decent, AFFORDABLE hotel.
It was great, when I stepped in the room I was amazed. It was clean and fresh and cool and just lovely. Wasn’t over the top but perfect. A king bed and a nice tv with a small refrigerator and microwave and was all I needed. No disturbance either it was just comfortable and perfect.
Not bad for the price..I was nervous when I saw the low cost per night but was pleased with literally everything.. Had little to no expectations and this place makes some hotels Ive stayed in look bad. Great Continental Breakfast, waffles, bagels muffins.. Flat screen TV, big bed.. What more could you want? Ill be back again next time Im in Long Island
I used this hotel twice in a 10 day period and was pleasantly surprised at how well maintained it was. The first stay I was in a ground floor on the rear building. (the hotel is made up of 3 separate buildings) and the second stay I had a room next to the office. The rear building room was definitely bigger and newer. The smaller room could just fit the king size bed and the bathroom was narrow; for one night it was fine. Rooms were cleaned well and front desk person was pleasant. Breakfast area is very small and the walk from the rear building in cold weather or rain may be an issue. Breakfast was a waffle, cereal or yogurt. I will use this hotel the next time I fly into Islip.

The hotel puts customer needs first. On 18 inch snow day, the water main was broken. The hotel manager stayed at the front, conducted utility repair, called snowplow many times on a day. He reserved a row of rooms at the shortest walk distance for customers and maintained room services.
No frills, very clean, pleasant ,one story motel. Small room, yet met all our needs at a very affordable rate. Pleasant lady at the desk let us check in early to prepare for wedding destination. Much appreciated! We only stayed one night. Room was quiet, AC quiet. Breakfast small, hot waffle available. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good value!
Booked a week stay online. Pictures online make the room look a lot nicer than what it actually is. Bed was clean but Rug looked dirty. Booked a non smoking room, but room smelt like an ashtray. Bathroom is tiny, no water pressure. Half of the TV channels were not clear. Others had a humming noise.Sketchy location. Checked out after 1st night.

In the bathrooms, the shower head adjusted for maximum comfort on water pressure and temperature, and the bathroom exhaust fan is effective and less noisy than expected. Additional towels are provided as needed. Heating and cooling system operates quietly. The room is a well-furnished, well-equipped, getting modern and updated. The hotel surrounding environment is safe. The breakfast bar serves delicious Indian coffee, orange juice, fresh milk, variety baked goods including popular New York garlic sesame jumbo bagels, and various choices of cereals. It opens as early as 5:30 a.m. (convenient for long distance truck drivers). The well-equipped gym is open on time from 6 a.m.to 9 p. m, providing a means for strength-building and heart health improvement when away from home. The water cooler is always refilled, sanitary cups are provided. The cost of stay is competitive among all hotel/motels in the region - good for your money. On 18-inch snow day, the water main was broken. The hotel manager stayed at front, conducted repair as soon as possible, called snowplow many times on a day. He reserved a row of rooms at the shortest walk distance for customer needs and maintained room services.

Called and they said I have rooms I reserved a room then I get there the only guy there said hes been there for last 2 hours I called 10 mins before arriving to them saying no you dont have a reservation when it was the same gut from the phone who took all my information they charged my card 198$ and refused to gimme a room these guys are scammers

Have stayed regularly and have always been satisfied. Environment has always been quiet without any signs of suspicious activity. Rooms are clean and in order. Heat/AC, Microwave, Fridge, TV, In-room Coffee Maker, Wi-fi work well. With one exception, members of the staff have been consistently pleasant, helpful, and professional and made me feel welcome.
While a small room, it was very quiet and the mattress was comfortable. It was dark enough to sleep through sunrise. Our room had a microwave and fridge--which the specs did not list and we HAD checked online since we wanted to bring along some refrigerated goods but chose not to because the listing said those were extra cost. It also had a hair dryer which worked very well.
Hotel was old and needs a severe facelift. Room was not ready when I arrived, even though I called ahead and requested early check-in. Girl on phone was rude and defensive. I requested a room with a king bed and received a room with two double beds. Nightly pricing fluctuated each day during my stay. Breakfast area was always dirty and not maintained. Overall, it wasnt bad, but I have to think twice about staying there again.
Everything about it was fine! From the time I arrived at the front desk till the time I left it all worked out. I needed wakeup calls each morning and they were prompt. My bed and room were all made up each day I returned to the hotel. There was no loud neighbors or other such distractions.
Surprisingly clean, well-run by actual hard working real friendly Americans! Decent coffee too.Id been to other Rodeway Inns before, so I wasnt expecting much. All that was available online were smoking rooms, but when I was checking in, the guy at the desk said, You dont look or smell like a smoker. I think we have some non smoking rooms available. Would you like me to check? He put us in a non smoking room, which was surprisingly clean. I mean, even the bathroom faucet looked like it was hand polished and shiny.Those are all the pros of this place. Allow me to mention why this gets 4 stars instead of 5:Yes it was a non smoking room, but it did smell like it used to be a smoking room at some time in the distant past. Also, one of the selling points was the complimentary continental breakfast. It was more like a five star carb-fest. Thats fine if thats your thing, and I probably would have liked it if I was still into sugary cereals, a DIY waffle maker and orange juice. I just wish there were some bacon, eggs, sausage and some fresh fruit. At least the coffee was decent, especially for an inexpensive motel.
As compared to other economy level Choice properties go this one is actually very good. The room was small but had everything I needed and then some. For a one night stay it was certainly sufficient for one or two occupants. The bath had a shower stall but it was not one of those tiny ones, it was roomy. The lobby building is new and well appointed. The breakfast bar even included waffles which you dont always see in the economy level properties. The grounds were well maintained as were the buildings.
Poor, sheets had cigarette burn and room smelled like an ash tray. Very gross. Carpets were sticky and the windows wouldnt latch shut making it easy for anyone to get in.
Good value for the money. Nice to have microwave and fridge in addition to coffee maker in the room. Bathroom was very clean. Bed comfortable. No screen on window, so bugs came in when opened. Breakfast was okay. Wifi was generally good but slow at times.
Great staff is the most positive thing I can say. Also room was nice size for 4 ppl. Which is what gives them a higher rating. Continental is missing stuff like fruit. Are is small and building doesnt lock so I didnt feel as safe as I felt I should.
I made the reservation at this hotel because they “have” free breakfast which is not true. The breakfast was important for me because my son had to be at 7:00am at the game.

We had a nice stay at the Rodeway Inn. We reserved three rooms for various family members. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Each room had a refrigerator and microwave which was really a plus since we were traveling with children. There is no pool. This was not an issue for us but I wanted to mention it since it may effect someones decision. The staff was very nice. They serve a good continental breakfast with waffles, cereal, sweet rolls, juice and coffee. Also it is right down the street from Islip Airport. All in all my family would definitly stay here again.
I had a nice stay. Room was clean and the entire Hotel was being remodeled. Will come back again without a doubt. I was very happy about my stay very comfortable and clean. Will recommend to my family and friends to stay here. Was not disappointed at all. Will stay here again on upcoming visits to New York. Very reasonably priced as well.
I stayed two nights at the Rodeway Inn it wasnt a bad stay the rooms could use some refreshing, but they are a large rooms. Because this hotel offers smoking rooms when we went in out room it smelled very Smokey. Overall the appearance was clean, the price is good, not bad for a one or two night stayif you just need a place to sleep and shower. I dont however recommend it if you are going to relax and make romance stay somewhere else.Atane King

The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, the rooms are dirty the bathroom was cleaner then my bed. The drugs are nasty the whole place needs to be updated, the heating system smelled musty and thats bad by itself.
Positive: The motel was fairly clean, but it smelled slightly of cigarette smoke when we went inside. I called the front desk though and they sent someone to room to spray something.
An older facility so there was a somewhat worn feel (the rug, mainly) but well-maintained and pleasantly decorated. Room with 1 king was fine for an overnight stay or couple days, would be cramped for a weeks stay. My room was not set up for business travelers. As with many older motels, the AC was loud when it ran. Im picking out flaws so people know what theyre getting, but I would definitely return.

A real fast free hotel reward for my stay in this Choice hotel automatically and happily.

Good location, close to airport and major roads to Islip and elsewhere on Long Island; good breakfast and cleanliness earns this hotel good marks. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Its obvious that they make an effort to please the traveller. The only negative comment I have is the noise level from the adjacent highway or street which is not the fault of the hotel staff. There are many trucks at an early hour, as well as some hot rods racing about in the night.
My room was dirty. The sheets had dirt/stains on them. I requested them to be changed but I still felt bad sleeping there. The chair had holes in it and large stains on it and the carpet was littered with dirt. I really didnt understand why it was like this. I had reserved the two rooms I booked for two days but left after the first night and was told I would not be refunded for the second day. I could not stay there as it was just very dirty/bad room.I would love to be refunded for this room as it was really the worst I have ever seen. I thought it was maybe a joke or that I was on a prank show or something. Really, you had to see this. Terry Barkley

Weve stayed at this hotel before and it is a good value for the price but there are things which, if corrected, could make it a lot more pleasant. We usually stay in the rear, renovated non-smoking building on the property. The rooms truly are smoke-free but this time the hallway leading to our room smelled of mold and mildew, something which is a problem for anyone with allergies.We appreciate the continental breakfast which is offered but would it really be that hard to offer some whole grain bread and bagels instead of just plain white? Also, the cream cheese and butter should be iced; one package of cream cheese which our granddaughter opened had started to turn. A choice of cereal would be nice as well.
Room and bathroom are very clean. I was surprised to see a refrigerator there. Thats good. I was able to store my insulin. Only thing missing in the room was iron and ironing board. The bed was very comfortable. The room is not spacious enough for even one person.

Do not stay in this disgusting hotel. It was more like a 3 hour hotel. We booked it for my parents and I. The rugs were so bad you couldn’t walk on it barefoot. There was “stuff” on the pillows and blankets. The sheets and blankets had cigarette holes. Wall paper pealing off the walls. They found a condom wrapper on the floor. Has never been updated. It is the most unclean place. Had to leave and go to the LaQuinta. I repeat, do not stay at this hotel.

The room is small and the configuration a bit strange. The chair hits the bed at the desk but has everything you need. It is extremely clean and everyone we dealt with was very polite and accommodating. The bed is a little hard and could use more than 3 pillows on a King size bed. The continental breakfast was decent with the exception of the pastries being stale. Would stay here again if in the area.

Ive stayed here several times. Rooms are tidy and clean. Bathrooms are also clean, but small. Breakfast area is almost immaculate and well taken care of by the staff. Traffic noise can sometimes be a bit noisy. It is the least expensive motel around the area.
Very basic and cheap hotel. Room condition was ok but the whole area was cramped with a very small area for rest room and bathroom. The parking was just outside the hotel door, and felt little unsecured. The staff were good. The breakfast was basic and good enough.
Nice clean comfortable room. Extremely hot and humid out, but you wouldnt know it in the room. the A/C was great and kept the room nice and cool. Once again Shena made checking in a pleasure and when I wanted to add a night, Sri was as helpful as always. Both ladies always helpful and provide service with a smile!

Ive stayed at the Rodeway Inn MacArthur Airport on several occassions, and have consistently found rooms to be clean with all amenities (Microwave, Fridge, TV, In-room Coffee Maker, Wi-Fi) properly functioning. On rare occasions, when I did have a problem, the problems were corrected cheerfully and promptly. Staff is professional and courteous. Sri, in particular has always greeted me warmly and treated me like an honored guest.
We are by no means hotel snobs, we stay at budget hotels all the time. We were visiting the area briefly and had an early flight out the next morning, and needed to be close to the airport. We read the reviews and wondered how bad could it be? Roaches in bathroom, soggy carpet, potholes in our parking spot. Through the paper thin walls we heard everything going on next door - it was like we were listening to a dirty movie and we couldnt turn the volume off. Thank goodness we didnt have any kids or our parents with us. Most of our sleepless night we spent debating whether to leave and try to sleep in the rental car at the airport. Gratefully, 4am arrived and we checked out. We followed up with the manager and they didnt seem too concerned about our experience.
At first I felt the price was high for a one night stay. I booked it last minute so I had noChoice. Upon arrival the check in staff was nice and pleasant. In the night time when my family and myself returned to our room the smell of the room with cigarette was unbearable. I was very upset because my son is Asthmatic. I have no good review for this place!!
Front desk people were very friendly. Clerk walked down to my room and opened the door for me. breakfast could be a little more healthy but ok for a quick start. waffle maker went haywire but they got it fixed. nice area and easy to get too. Found the airport diner on Veterans Highway which was awesome.
Due to a cancelled flight, we were forced to find a hotel for 2 nights--preferrably something close to McArthur Airport. Fortunately, we found this Rodeway Inn. For what it is, it was affordable (although an unexpected expense for us) and decent. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The breakfast left much to be desired, and we were unable to find any decent eating establishments within walking distance. However, the taxi we reserved arrived early, was very helpful and friendly. Its remote, but a friendly place.
Place looks a little iffy from the outside, but I slept so well here. A great economical choice! The bed and the pillows are very comfortable. Our room was clean and welcoming.

There was someone cleaning something... some where ... all day every day.... Very good value considering it is on Long Island. ... The lobby is spotless .... the exterior condition of the buildings are great. ... The room we stayed in was larger than one of the larger chain hotel rooms ... and at a much lower price. Definitely would recommend. One of the rating sites has this at a 1 star .... It is much better than that ... Breakfast is typical of Roadway Inns..... however, the size of the double room and cleanliness ... far out weigh the breakfast. We stayer here 14 days ... and would do it again.
The room was clean the staff was friendly. Downside the non smoking room I had smelled a little like smoke. There was no elevator but the ac unit in the room worked well. Overall I was satisfied.
Ive stayed at many hotels in a lot of different places due to my job . Its very hard to find such a nice, polite and friendly staff as this one. Especially at the front desk everyone is always smiling and kind with an honorable mention too Sre. The rooms are almost always very clean and acceptably quiet.
I really did not even want to give one star but I guess it would not let me give a rating unless I did the man behind the counter gave our room away and lied and said that we made the reservation last night we made a room for a handicap room he did not even offer to call another hotel and help them after giving our room away I do not recommend this hotel and when a person in the hotel lies right to your face I would never give them my business that is the best way to say XOXO
This motel was very dated. Carpeting did not appear to be very clean. Fortunately I spent very little time here, getting in at 9PM every night and out the following morning by 4:30AM. Just enough time to sleep. If I had to spend any more time in the room, it would not have been worth the savings over other nearby hotels.
I had a good experience at the Rodeway Inn, Ronkonkoma. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable. The internet connection was reliable and fast, but not secure. The continental breakfast was mediocre, and included no protein item. The coffee, however, was out of this world good.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. The prices for the rooms are very reasonable. The hotel has all the amenities you would need. The rooms are very clean and the daily breakfast very satisfying. Also, it is located in a nice part of Long Island with restaurants and major highways near by.The staff, including Sri, Jay, Omig and general manager Uzair, are very friendly and accommodating. They have made the extra effort to make me feel comfortable.I would highly recommend this hotel.
I was extremely pleased with the reception I received. I was late one morning for breakfast, like 10 minutes and the breakfast area was cleaned off. They went out of their way to bring everything back for me so I could enjoy my stay there. I along with my family stayed there for two nights. Though I have a fair opinion about Choice Hotels as they fit in my budget and offer reasonable value for price. But staying here in this Rodeways Inn , Ronkonkoma, New York was not as satisfactory particularly on account of:* Cleanliness of rooms especially Carpets is pathetic* Furniture in rooms is almost worn out : gives a look of broken/ scratched pieces of basic wooden skeletons . Beds are uncomfortable.* Washrooms are so small that you hardly stand up* The choice of Breakfast is very limitedThe Only Plus is the friendly staff which compensates for ones annoyance . The staff is attentive and tries to cool down the angry customers. Especially mentioning Mr. Kaushak Shah who was nice and helpful.Despite my best intentions I will go for Maximum 1.5 /5 rating and that mostly on account of staff.This place has a potential to be rated Three stars but needs investment and efforts to make it better.
Always stay at this hotel while visiting my kids on Long Island. Decent value if you stay off-season-(summer rates a little high for budget hotel!)..Still cheapest in-season though. Staff is very responsive and professional...Any maintenance issues are addressed immediately...Have stayed here on 10 occasions since Jan. 2017 with no problems whatsoever..DEFINITELY RECOMMEND especially if you are looking for a little relief on the wallet!
I never been to this location, I live out of state. Bushes outline the hotel and makes it un safe. no security around. bathroom shower is too small for average person. nothing to hold onto while in shower. anyone can fall. the staff put out frozen creme cheese and butter for toast or waffles. I was concern about location because at night there isnt enough lights in the area.
Love is hotel. The larger room had plenty of space with a huge bathroom. The rooms are super clean and the bed is very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. Dont listen to the other reviews, I found the place to be very quiet. No other hotels in the area well get my business!
The dirtest hotel room. The walls were dirty from the room to bathroom. The carpet was disgusting full of dirt as if it has never been vaccum or washed. The bathroom water was too hot way above normal temp, couldnt adjust the temp to cold or warm for shower or sink. Burn holes and stains on covers. Manager was very unreasonable & rude after i bought how dirty the room was to his attention. I told him i was gonna leave a bad review after i reported how nasty & flithy the room floors were he was nasty with his customer service he told me i was threating him bc i said im leavin a bad review based on my stay!!! Im entitled to leave a review! I wouldnt refer anyone to stay here its deceiving from the pictures advertised! you would think that bc the office is nice & clean the rooms would be as well. Spend that extra $20 for a stay at the ramada its very clean.
I stayed for 2 nights and it was a decent stay. The room was clean and in good condition and almost everything worked (one lamp had a dead bulb). I appreciated having a microwave and decent mini fridge.

First of all, we reserved a king size bed and got 2 full size beds. The website said there would be an iron and ironing board, there wasnt. The room need dusting as evidenced by the dust on the broken hair dryer. We got the hair dryer. The helped seemed abrupt when we spoke with them. I dont know if they were rude or there was a language barrier. The tub seemed to have mold or mildew growing on the bottom of it. There was a vent for the fan in the ceiling but it didnt work. The toilet sitting on the ground by the storage shed gave the place a white trash look.It is disturbing that the terms for submitting this allows Choice Hotels to adapt reviews

My first stay was good so I decided to come back. My wife reserved the room they told her there was no deposit fee. Upon my arrival at check in the cashier said it was a cash deposit fee of $200 so I asked where’s a bank so I can deposit the money into my bank so I will be using my card he was rude and instead of saying where’s a bank he recommended to me that they where no brand hotels down the road smh. The hotel is ok for the price but that particular cashier was rude and need to be fired
Although I was told there were no non-smoking rooms available, I wasnt prepared for the stench in the room. I knew I was not going to be a in high-quality hotel for only $100 but I didnt think it would be as bad as it was.I may have felt different had I availed myself of the breakfast, but after the state of the guest rooms, I didnt quite trust the conditions of the kitchen.
The room is okay for adults. The TV, refrigerator, and microwave are nice. However if you have small children this may not be the place for you. The floor was dirty and my 4 year old nephew found a lighter and cigarette butts under the bed.
Reported constant noise above my head; my husband and I were staying here due him recovering from surgery. I reported issue to front desk via phone twice and was assured something would be done about the noise. When that did not happen, I walked to the front office and explained to matter to the front desk guy(one of people I reported issue to via phone). He was rude, appeared annoyed and stated, there is no child or children in the room above you so I dont know what to tell you. When I asked for the manager, he rudely stated the manager was not there. WHen I asked for the managers name, he stated, Jose and refused to provide the managers last name. He also refused to provide me with his name when I asked, stating, he didnt like the way I was speaking. I would suggest anyone RUN from this hotel. I DO NOT tolerate poor customer service when we are spending our money for services. My husband was recovering from surgery and this front desk person could have cared less about my complaint. Highly unprofessional!!!!!
The room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The only issue was even the non-smoking rooms had an extremely smokey smell. I would recommend the hotel, being sure to mention the smoke smell and let them decide whether to stay or not.
Ive stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Ronkonkoma, NY fairly regularly and have always appreciated the courteousness and competence of the staff. When I became ill at my last stay, the staff was extremely considerate and supportive, and took good care of items I left in the room. In addition to the staff, the rooms are comfortable and maintained in good working order. All in all, Ive found the Rodeway Inn the best motel in this area at this price point.
Worst hotel experience of our lives. Put us in smoking room and could not offer equivalent no smoking accommodation. Refused to give us a checkout receipt, refused to give us names of clerks or managers, and are the rudest, nastiest service people we have ever encountered. Avoid at all costs. Sleep in your car if necessary.
The only problem we had with the Rodeway Inn at MacArthur Airport was essentially that at night the water got very hot extremely so. There was no cold water for any purpose at all we were unable to brush our teeth two have a drink of water and to wash our hands after using the toilet and it was that way all night until early morning. The staff was very pleasant and helpful to us on other matters and we were pleased to be there thank you very much bye byeHi
On a positive note the staff is friendly and I stayed in a larger first floor room in a back building. Unfortunately the larger room has a larger rug which is filthy and disgusting. Slept with my socks on as did not want my feet to touch the floor. Complimentary breakfast consists of a couple of small muffins and a waffle machine..
Had a 2 night stay in Ronkonkoma NY. This facility was in a great location for our purposes. We were very comfortable andIt was clean. Can definitely use some upgrades to the common facility. The housemaids were very friendly and cooperative.
Very Good Room. It is clean, wifi is good, location is good, price is good however it is not upscale at all. It is a place to stay when you are out of the room most of the time and you dont want to spend a lot of money. Waffles in the morning are excellent.
Location: about 30 minutes by car from JFK; shopping plaza near the hotel; very quiet location - most of the rooms facing woods.Room: spacious, well-maintained, clean. Mattresses - probably not the top-notch but still good to sleep;Breakfast: is somewhat limited in choice of meals, breakfast area is a bit cramped.Value for money: great even during high season.
I recently stayed for a week at the Rodeway off of Vets Memorial Highway in Ronkonkoma, New York. I would consider it at best an average hotel at a very affordable rate. I chose a non-smoking room; the smoking room across the hall contained three different residents during my time there and all were loud. The doors are heavy and are not soundproofed. Get used to hearing a lot of door slams.The king-sized beds were very comfortable and the rooms come with a mini frig and micro, plus there is a Hess Express across the street if you need a quick slice of Godfathers Pizza. All the Rodeways are equipped with free wi fi access, but only use it if you have an anti virus program like Norton Internet Security. The television was not in high definition and a handful of channels had weak reception and couldnt be fixed with the remote.If youre on a budget and are looking for a short term stay, I would recommend this motel as a possible solut
If I could give this place no stars I would, this place is extremely EXTREMELY unprofessional the manager hung the phone up on me three time when I asked for a record of proof of when I stayed there FIRST TIME BOOKING a night at this hotel and he said that I stayed there on numerous of occasions I ruined his hotel and refused to book me. This is a perfect example of RASISM. Canceled my reservation but kept my money. I’m disgusted. And then people wonder why there targeted as terrorist
You get what you pay for. The rates are very decent and it looks like a motel, so dont expect a 5 star hotel. Everything was fine - the only thing is the breakfast ends a little early (9am), 9h30am or 10am would have been great. Clerk at reception was nice enough to pull out a muffin for me even if i was 20 mins late.
Staff is very professional and courteous. Amenities in room (Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, HIgh-speed internet, satellite TV) are in good working order. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Environs are quiet and free of suspicious activity.
Once again, another very pleasant stay. Shena, as always, was welcoming and very pleasant and helpful. Was coming off a couple of long days and needed rest. She got me into a room within minutes. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. As I said, another great stay!

The lady at the front desk was rude, my room was dirty and smelled funny. Maybe the front building is ok but the back building the rooms are small. My refrigerator needed cleaning out, carpets dirty, trash left between the bed and the nightstand, and the desk chair was broken. Do I need to go on???? Terrible Experience
I have consistently found staying at the Rodeway Inn in Ronkonkoma to be a pleasant, stress-free experience. Staff is professional and courteous. Rooms are comfortable and amenities (Fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, Satellite TV, Wi-Fi) are maintained in functioning order. Outside environment is quiet and free of suspicious activities.
BED BUGS....AND AN OBVIOUS INFESTATION BECAUSE THERE WERE BROWN SPOTS ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE OF THE MATTRESS AND I SAW 2 ADULT BUGS WITH MY OWN EYES. THE TOILET WAS NOT EVEN FLUSHED WHEN I ARRIVED!!! As soon as I realized this (within 45 minutes) and complained to the owner/manager, he REFUSED to give me my money back. I could go on but I don’t even think it’s necessary. I stay in motels fairly often because I travel for work and this was the worst experience of my life
Very good for the price. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, no bugs. Beds were comfortable enough for my 70 year young mom who has a bad back. Good experience. Will use again if needed.
Stayed here with friends before heading to the US Open at Shinnecock Hills the next day. Our rooms were fine, clean and fairly spacious. Good value for the price. Lots of nearby places to eat.
I tried all hotels and motels in the surrounding area for 6 weeks. In price and quality service comparison, the Roadway Inn Ronkoncoma, NY is the best. Clean room, clean bathroom, easy-to-set shower water, quiet air-conditioning, delicious coffee and orange juice, friendly front-desk staff...are impressive. I strong recommend this motel, good for your money.
Considering that Rodeway Inn is known to be the low end, this is a great place. I was in 103, a non-smoking king bed room. Someone reported that their room was small. I was told this was their smallest room. If you think that is a small room, go to the Sleep Inn in Jamaica or Comfort Inn JFK and really see what a small room is. It could use a little TLC and there was the faintest bit of a weird smell in the bathroom but nothing that I couldnt easily get over. Their Internet connectivity is outstanding. If I need to come back, I will definitely visit again if I can get that style room again.
EXTREMELY poor customer service, and its probably no surprise for some but the rodeway in ronkonkoma has a horrible business practice of charging cards twice. Me personally had it happen several times with no harm no foul because I have used an phone app based card which alerts me the second my card is charged and each time the rodeway in Ronkonkoma did this Id bring it to their attention straight away and they would instantly reverse additional charges. Well the Rodeway was doing this to a friend of mine and they did not know for a while and a few charges later. And when he brought it up to them he got no where quick with the Rodeways EXTREMELY rude staff. Which I dont just say rude bc of this, they were consistently rude from my first stay with Rodeway.. very upsetting to say the least!!
I have never complained about a hotel before. This is a first. I understand I didnt pay for a Five Star experience, but this was beyond disgusting and sleazy! The only thing I expected was a clean room with a working air conditioner and not a broken bed. I stayed here to attend a family wedding and didnt get to enjoy it because I ended up with s backache and headache from lack of sleep. I joined Choice Hotel when I made this booking because my husband and I are planning some road trips in the next year. After this experience, I doubt we will stay in a Choice Hotel again.

Once again another great stay. Shena made everything nice and easy and the manager was very welcoming and friendly. The staff here is exceptional! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Couldnt ask for more!
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years as they are the only ones in the area which have smoking rooms. Rooms are small, but neat and clean. Electric access for the laptop is easily accessed via the base of the lamp on the desk.
I did not like the room I was assigned and complained next morning about it. Before I knew, my room was upgraded at no extra charge. I liked the personal attention of the staff members. The new room was bigger and much much better, not to mention, it exceeded my expectations.
I stayed there a couple times with them before and it was okay for the price. The third time I called and reserved a non smoking room, when I checked in the front desk guy said someone changed my room to smoking and that all the non smoking rooms were filled so I had to take a smoking room. So unprofessional. I had to book last minute else where then to pay for such horrible customer service and lack of quality of service.
Travelling for work so was looking for motel within our company allowance of $65 a night. This place a little higher but it was close to where I had to deliver the vehicle. Very clean, everything worked, across from convenience store, god diner down the road, very happy.
I was told one price and the receipt says that price but my bank statement says a larger price. Other then that its was an ok place to stay. Wi-Fi lags a bit also.
The Rodeway Inn in Ronkonkoma offers good value for the money. Well-maintained rooms and amenities. Premises are quiet and free of suspicious activities. Staff is highly professional and courteous. I am especially appreciate the diligence of Shana in finding me a suitable room when I came in unexpectedly to escape a blizzard and the establishment was booked up while she also attended to blizzard-related difficulties of other guests.
The hotel is in a very convenient location. On check in, they were not able to provide a non smoking room, even though it had been reserved. They said that the room had been deep cleaned, but the smoke smell was still present.

2022-06-19The front desk staff was polite but thats about the best I can say for this motel. When we got to the motel after a day outside in unexpectedly chilly weather we walked into a room with the AC blasting. I turned on the heat and it gave off a urine-like stench. One of the towels in the bathroom had multiple stains including makeup. It appeared to have not been cleaned properly. The bathtub was stained and the sink counter top was cracked with an obvious attempt to glue it back together. The mattress cover on the one bed had multiple stains on it and the beds themselves sounded like they were covered in plastic. Forget getting a good nights sleep. The coffee/tea maker wasnt there as advertised. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay as this one certainly isnt with the price.

2022-05-31Positive: 1. Room rate was reasonable considering I was there over a holiday weekend. 2. Room was definitely a non-smoking room and I was thankful to not have to deal with that smell. Negative: 1. The mattress was definitely worn and less supportive on the sides than it was in the middle. 2. I was not told about free breakfast but when I checked out I did notice an area where it may have been served. Would have been nice to get breakfast.

2022-04-23Positive: They did not ask for $100 deposit on my card like the other previous hotels we had been like American Inn and La Quinta . Negative: We were put on the 2nd floor. I asked for a smoking room and they said that it is on that floor only. It was hard for us to carry those luggages up to the 2nd floor since there was no elevator. We could have stayed on the ground floor .

2022-04-09Feel like moving down a social class? Come to the roadway inn. Not only does it make the Bates motel look like the ritz.. but I’ll it’s run by some of the most smug, rude people I’ve ever met. After your stay in an oil burner, you can come down to get some stale breakfast, accompanied with an always broken coffee machine.. so long as you don’t look the crack dealer outside the the lobby in the eyes. I’ve never had a bad stay at a hotel, never leave reviews, but these people are the worst

2022-07-02Please avoid this establishment at all costs! I would hate to see even one more person be subject to the absolute abysmal customer service. Rude blunt and its their way or the highway. Room was also outdated and extremely musty smelling and an unacceptable amount of mold occupied the mini refrigerator in the room. Please please please make another decision in regards to your stay away from home whatever your circumstances 😐
