Rogers Park in other cities:
Nice upgrades made it even better. Lovely flowers and picnic tables, grills, and restrooms are available. Free parking on the street above with a small fee to park by the beach area. Limited boat docking by the beach although water there can be a little rough during busy times
Good little beach... As a parent, I live the fact that they have 2 lifeguards on duty with different angles of view... Kids loved both the division of super shallow & the older kids LOVED the pier that he can jump off (its only about 2 feet above the waterline and right next to one of the life guards)
Great little beach. Perfect for kids of all ages. Water and beach is clean. Lifeguard on duty. $5. to park. You can leave and come back in the same day. Picnic lunch on the beach or at the tables at the top of the parking lot. Only coast guard approved lifejackets allowed. No other flotation devices permitted.
This public beach on Lake George is excellent, but it is small, and in the summer, you need to get there early in the morning to secure a spot, especially with social distancing making it even harder to get a place. There are lifeguards, parking and beach attendants, counting cars and people. The other good part of this beach is there is an attached pier where you can walk and look out onto Lake George in an expansive view. There is a lot of boats coming and going in this area, and it is always fun to be here at any time. Again the views are magnificent of the mountains all around and of course the lake. There is a public bathroom that is kept sufficiently clean to use without much trouble. I wish there were an air circulation device in the toilet area in the age of COVID-19, but nothing is perfect. When I am in town, and I need to kill time with my 3-year-old son, I check this beach first. If it is full, I go to the other Bolton beach, but I prefer Rogers Park.
Very nice little part in lake George if you want to get away from the crowds. Its busy on the weekends, so get there early. There are shady spots under the trees and plenty of room for sun and swimming. There is a public rest room off the boat launch making it easy to take care of little ones.
Great place to contemplate while the sky and lake go by. Busy in summer, but shoulder and winter seasons leave it in a pristine state with quiet and no interruptions. Drop by with a coffee, a pad and pen, or an easel for enjoying or capturing the scene. The gazebo makes good shelter in all but the most torrential precip.
Beautiful park! Very clean and a lot of work is put in to the landscape. Clean bathroom facilities, as well as a basketball court, plenty of Adirondack chairs for seating, and a pavilion. Right next to the visitors center and the local history museum. Bonus: has some rock features like I have never seen before!
There is parking here, free after 430, which the girl on duty at 415 when we pulled up, was kind to tell us. Otherwise $5 for parking. Plenty of light still left on a summer day! There is a swimming area and nice Beach with a lifeguard until 430. There is a dock that you can put in a kayak next to and the swimming kids can jump from. There is another pier area that I think you can fish from. There are two, single bathrooms that are big enough to change in. There are tennis courts, at least one basketball court. Grills and picnic tables. There are also these huge, cool rocks all over that are fun to sit on, climb and just admire.
Cute small town beach. A great location that might be missed from the main road. A small lot for parking for 5 bucks, a smaller beach with lifeguards and a dock. Tough to find a picnic table that is on level ground though. There is a basketball court and nice restrooms at the top of the hill. They also show movies in the park some nights.
Free parking (as opposed to Lake George, where you have to use these difficult machines to obtain a parking slip), as well as picnic tables, grills, tennis courts, and, of course, a beach. In addition, there are frequently free concerts there (as there was last night).
