This place is everything a roller skating rink should be plus more! My girlfriend and I traveled from Westchester to check it out and it was well worth it! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good sound system, a bar, great roller Skating dancers...it was a great time. Make the trip!
I was invited to a kids bounce party on a Sunday. I was amazed by the size. Party was alot of fun for the Kids they also have a Bar, the Bartender told me about Saturday nights 21 and over. Went with three of my friends had an awesome time, it was like two different places very cool!
Nice place for a birthday party or to take your kids for skating has a bar and food music and friendly staff and service but it’s time for a upgrade the skates that they give you to rent are destroyed but they don’t smell just ripped shoelaces all messed up time for a over haul also the rink is small and if you have kids that don’t know how to skate don’t go there at night because it’s packed with kids and people just bumping into each other but it’s the only roller skating rink in the area so it’s good. Also they have a little arcade that’s pretty Kool the bathrooms were filthy but that’s expected because of the amount of people there it’s really crowded on weekends and nights so try to go during the week when it’s not a holiday other than that it’s definitely worth going there because nowhere else to go in Staten Island.
Fun place to become a kid again. I went on saturday night, they serve drinks and its all adults. You can have birthday parties or just get together with friends and roller skate. You can rent skates here. They rink is smooth, they have lights and music going on. It was fun skating and drinking.
Ive only been here once and it was for a Halloween event with a few friends so review is subject to change as I continue to go (Wich I definitely will!) but in the one visit, I can definitely say I enjoyed my time! If youre not a broke 20 something year old, its actually SUPER dope. Expect to get lapped on Saturdays if youre not experienced though! The refs were ever aware AND vibing in skates so you cant get more chill than that (Unless youre too scared to skate. Cant have congestion on such a high octane field!) and yes, you can rent the skates. Which are kept as clean as they can be ❤️Highly recommend eating before coming in tho. I cant vouch for the tastiness of the menu but those prices hurt my wallet just to look at..100% going again. Its been too long since I was on roller skates and require redemption!
Very family friendly on a Friday night. Adults, teens, tweens and kids all enjoyed themselves. Blades and skates available. Arcade room and private party rooms available. Music was good all songs to get you rolling and dancing were played.Food /drinks could be cheaper and they SHOULD wear gloves instead of touching the pizza with their hands. Thats literally the only reason I gave this place 4 stars and not 5 stars.
If this place wasnt the only indoor skating ring in Staten Island they would be closed by now.Pros:-The music they play is good.-The skate ring doesnt get overcrowded.Cons:-Skate rental kid was rude.-If Im not skating why do I have to pay $5 to get in.-If I rent skates TAKE BOTH MY SNEAKERS what Im I suppose to do with 1 sneaker while I skate. I can rent a locker for .75¢ but why??? Just take both my sneakers.
1st time here. 3 of us were here for about an hour. Had to leave because someone in our party didnt feel well. The hour we were here was great. Good music. Clear sound. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. There was a bar which we will try next time. Staff was friendly. Rental skates were worn and in need of replacements
This was my first time coming here. The rink was great, the set up was pretty cool too with lounge areas and even a bar. My issue was folks not adhering to wearing mandated masks. My other issue is of a more personal preference reason, but the music wasnt ideal for me. Its not the reason I would use to discourage anyone from going bc to each his own. Its a decent spot, just double up on the masks .
Had my sisters 40th bday party a couple years back was really fun, not too many rollerskating rinks in ny so when i found this place i was soo excited and they have a bar , it was really a trip since im not that good at skating, but cool when you have all the experts zooming around you skating backwards and dancing, people there just having a good time, great vibes and good music flowing around you. The staff were really helpful host took care of us was on top of things. Been wanting to go again, they also give lessons as well , i stopped by before we did the party during the day when it caters to the younger kids, soo cute!
I had an amazing time! The music was versatile, and the drinks were good. It got overcrowded in the rink with too many inexperience skaters which was frustrating. They also need to replace a lot of their rollerblades that are for rent. It seems the rollerskates are in better condition than the inline skates.
Roller jam is the place to be. The atmosphere is live, music on point, food is great and our servers, those young ladies were so amazing. My only qualm was the DISRESPECTFUL security who was so unprofessional when it was time to leave. He told us to get out, other than that Roller jam is a great roller skating ring.
This place is so unorganized! The kids that go here are wild and out of control! No respect for the adults or the younger kids! The staff that works here are to busy having fun to even attend to your needs. Some kid not paying attention knocked me and my 4yr old daughter over and was laughing smh. Hes lucky I would go to jail for beating up a kid. I will never go back!
We were invited here for a childs birthday party where they fill the skating rink with inflatable play areas. My child had a great experience and wants to go back. I was more than happy with the service from the party staff, however there were some staff members who appeared withdrawn and disengaged from the happenings around them. With that being said, there were several staff members who went above and beyond to ensure that the kids had a great time and Im very thankful for that
Definitely had a great time. We had a surprise 18th birthday for my daughter this past weekend and it was very easy to book. The place was clean and had good music. Our food was good and service was fast and efficient. Our host was very nice and very attentive, she helped us multiple time and was quite patient. I lovvvvve that they have a bar for parents lol the music was definitely up to date and staff members where all very friendly. My only issue was the ladies room, there is an attendant that sits outside but if there is no one there babysitting then lots of young girls pile in the ladies room and hang out in the stalls 2 or more at a time. But once 10 or 11pm hit I guess they all go home and the crown was def different and much better.
Stopped by here for a familys childs birthday party. Instead of skating, they had several huge blow-up bounce houses set up on the rink floor! Everyone had a fantastic time. They also have a fully stocked bar! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great place!
Came here on a Saturday Night to celebrate a Birthday Party and I had a blast!! The prices are great not expensive at all, $20 includes rentals and admission for a Saturday adult night! The bartender was extremely friendly, the drinks were the same price you would pay at a lounge in NYC. We had the whole place to ourselves, with a few friendly locals around. Also, music was very current and yet it blended well when they would play the great hits of the 80s and 90s ! Would def. go back soon!
A woman kicked my partner in the back while sitting on the arms of the chair (which management told us was against their rules) and the management did NOTHING. They allowed a drunk and angry woman back on to the rink. Unsafe and not a good time. Wish I could get a refund and my time back.
I really like this place. Cash or credit/debit $15 to enter $5 to rent skates. $0.75 to have a locker. The music was good 5/18/19. Club disco beats and some hip hop. The staff is friendly including the crowd. Some of the patrons were trying to help others learn how to skate. It feels like family. We ride together and fall together.
Its a cool place to bring your kids to play if they like roller skating and some arcade gaming. It may not be convenient for north shore folks since its located all the way at south shore. Prices are reasonable but they charge $5 per accompanied adult as well even if he or she doesnt skate. I think it reduces congestion inside the place and Ill give you that. My only complaint is some of the sofas are very worn out in the seating areas and they make you very uncomfortable. Overall, its a fun place for kids.
Very nice place! just wish with open skating they would separate the age groups in one way, like families with kids hours and teen/adult hours because so many teens and adults jammed packed skating around little children who are not professional skaters it could be dangerous.
This place is great to take the kids. I actually didnt know anything about this place. I didnt know that you had to purchase tickets online. Thank you to the manager or owner who allowed me and my daughters in with out purchasing online and allowed me to buy them there.. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Came for a friends 21st and had a blast. Skate rental is very cheap. So many talented people out skating, and a few are willing to take pity on newbies and help them around the rink a time or two. The music and lights were great. The bar and food were decently priced. The couches and chairs were a bit worn down, and a good bit of the arcade was out of order, but we had a great time just the same.
We just had my daughters birthday party here for the private bounce party and it was fantastic! Everyone had an amazing time! Our party hostesses Alex and Sam were very attentive and caring. From the atmosphere to the food service and drinks everything was great. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Very nicely run. I didnt like that they raised the price because of Passover / Easter week. They told me on the phone 650 and when I got there it was 950 PP. I guess everyone needs to make a living. Kids loved the arcade and the people were very helpful. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. There were a lot of kids they ran out of some sizes but there was no rushing or screaming because of all the kids. Everyone just did their job and everyone had fun.
I had my Daughter Viana tenth birthday there , the girls were super fast with setting up the backdrop and candy table I wanted . The staff was very attentive and willing to help in any way . As this was my first birthday party here it went far Beyond my expectations . Excellent place to throw a party
So my wife went out to this place a while back with some kids from her job. They are special needs kids but not overly disabled. Most with behavioral problems. Anyway, when my wife went, the place was really crowded and after 10 min there, my wife could tell that the kids were not going to have a good time and to avoid issues, she planned on bringing them back. Well, of course she couldnt get her money back and couldnt stay there arguing with the staff, so she left. I received a call back after several calls and messages left. I was told that they are extremely sorry and the lady took my info down and said that she would mail me free passes. I told the lady that we had family coming in town in about a month and that would be a great experience for the kids to go. She assured me that it would be all set-up. Of course, we are here a month and a half later and nothing in the mail. I tried calling the place, ha ha, thats a joke, like anyone actually picks up the phone. Now I kinda see what all the negative reviews are about. Their customer service is severely lacking and they hold no integrity to what they offer as a solution. My say, be careful with this place. If you accept sub-par customer service, dont mind having your money stolen, and can be happy afterwards, this place may be for you. As for me, I think were going somewhere else, I heard of a place in Newark, NJ. A bit further of a drive, but lets see.
The music was decent, a nice mix of all genres. I even loved the fact that there was a bar. But their skates were horrible. We were a party of 6... 4 out of 6 pairs of the skates where leaning or the wheels where wobbly like they would fall off at any moment. If you have your own personal skates then great.
Excellent afternoon with the grands. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the fact the fountain drinks are expensive. $3 pretzels, ok. $2 bottles of water, ok. Both are comparable to other venues. However, $5 for a 20oz fountain drink ? Thats a tad over the top. Clean, good atmosphere, otherwise. Will go back, but will stick to water.
Very good place for roller skating at your own pace. There is music, a bar and food. They have an arcade room that needs an update with newer machines. There is also an air hockey table. They have private small rooms to have a party or celebrate your kids birthday. Staff is very attentive and friendly.Food prices, drinks and skate rentals are fair. The place needs some TLC, it was kind of dark and dingy with worn-out sofas. It needs cleaning and also reupholster the sofas or cover them with some fabric.
The floor is a polished cement amazing for blades you grip like crazy. There are a few parts of the outside that are warped so riding the wall be aware your gonna go over some ripples but its not too bad. The sound system is clear and loud. The lights are out for adult night and the lights that are on are pretty awesome. Only down side is the size of the rink is rather small for the occupancy they pull.
We celebrated my Mothers 50th Bday here 2 weeks ago. It was a great time! Kathy helped with organizing the event and she was extremely helpful and accommodating! The young lady that took care of us the night of the party was very attentive and the MC made us feel like we were at home. Definitely recommend for parties!
Hosted a teen birthday party here March 2017. Loved the staff, our party attendant Mateya, loved the people and the excitement of the atmosphere. The process was smooth, the price was affordable and my entire party had a great time! Though its a journey getting out there it was well worth the experience. Thinking of hosting my own adult birthday event!
This is my 3rd time here. Why is there a $5 charge for non skaters/parents???!!! They are understaffed. Each time I came there was 1 person handing out and taking back skates. The first 2 pairs of skates were ripped at the seams and my foot was coming out..doesnt anyone check the skates at the end of the day??!! Also the seating in here is terrible..once you sit, u cant get up!!!...These seats really need some updating!!!..the only comfortable place to sit is on the arms of the chairs. The DJ is the best part!
This company combines a tremendous variety of tile and granite and quartz material with deep expertise to advise you. Without good advice, you can be overwhelmed by the selection. When they understand your needs, they can help select products that go with your cabinets and each other, with your budget in mind. Their installers are also first rate. We did a kitchen and bathroom and are very glad to work with them.
Attended a bounce party there today. My older daughter wanted to have her birthday party 🎉 three to… well not after today! The couches are disgusting. The kids watching the bounce houses were on their phones the entire time. There were two staff members that assisted me with trying to get my shy three year old to bounce. One I believe is Mike and the other was a young African American female as sweet as can be. Everyone else could not be bothered with anything other than their phones. Another kid from the party scrapped his knee and staff did not know if there were any bandaids in the location. At the arcades 1/2 of the games had no tickets in them. I had to go to the redemption spot and tell a young lady who wrote out the amount of tickets my baby girl should receive. Also, a few of the games did not play and pretty much kept our tokens without a play. When my friend went to pay off her bill, she told the manager of the issues and at first he blamed it on summer youth and then said hed have to fire the kids… when we told one of the staff members that, they said yes, he always says that. That staff member then said oh he gave you the salad for free. Um, excuse me, the salad that had turned partially brown.Yeah, I will never return there…Thanks but no thanks.
My kid liked it, and that is what mattered I guess. We were there for a birthday party and she enjoyed the free skating. The party was on a December weekend there was skate with santa event going on and she enjoyed that. At 1pm it was low-key empty and not too crowded great for a new skater, as the day went on it was much more crowded and more rowdy bunch of teens arrived changing the atmosphere a lot. The party was catered and the salad and hot wings sauce was a highlight.Negatives- I thought it was odd that it took about 15mins for the skate rental window to locate a skate key when I asked them to tighten the wheels on my kids skates. Also the rental skates were poorly maintained. Wheel bearing were gunked up with hair and fluff, wheels were covered in who knows what. But these were minor things to improve on not a deal breaker.
Ive been going to RollerJam since it opened and I frequent a lot of rinks throughout Jersey, PA, and NY. The only negative I really have in regards to the rink is the size of the floor. Aside for that one thing, I have no complaints about anything else. The owner is a great guy. The staff are friendly. The music is awesome. More of a club like atmosphere than youd expect of a skating rink. They serve alcohol on the adult nights, which is something thats ridiculously rare in a skating rink. If youre into skating, or just looking to experience something different, give it a shot. At the time of this review, if you go there from Jersey, you can show your license and get a discount at the door.
Celebrated my nephews birthday with pizza, way too expensive ice cream cake from an incompetent Carvel location on Staten Island in the Graniteville area. My sister was highly disappointed seeing as though it was her sons party which she obviously bared the expense, not to mention ... solely. None the less, after the horrendous pizza and coming to terms with the picture being wrong on the cake, the children went to play in the roller skating part of the hall and seed to have a great afternoon running around and playing with one another. So all in all... It was fun!
The food and service was good but the rink was dark, flashy, (there were a lot of swoopy lights and disco balls) loud , and all the skate guards wore airpods. The guards also barely did anything to stop people from talking pictures, holding drinks on the rink, and going the wrong way, most of these are official rules.
Accused me and my family of not paying and said we were lying which is very disrespectful and rude. The dj is very rude and does not welcome requests. He plays horrible songs that were so bad me and my friends sat out from roller blading because it wasn’t a fun atmosphere.
My daughters have had many Bday parties here and they had an awesome time, every time. Id like to add that her last party, I was just going thru a divorce within 2 weeks of her party. The owner lowered the price of my party so that I was able to still give my Lil girl a fantastic party. Ill never forget that. .....she was 10, and now 18. Ive been there with my adult friends a few times, great time! !!
My sister had a bounce party here a couple of weeks back for my nephews 3rd birthday. All of the children, mine included, had a wonderful time. They blow up bounce houses on their roller skating rink and also the children are able to play in the arcade. The whole concept of the place is really a good idea for a young childs birthday party. However, they need to reconstruct the entire place. The couches are practically falling apart, the carpet has imbedded stains in them, and the cabinet in the party room had permanent stains on them as well. On the brighter side, they cater the party food from Nuccis which was beyond delicious. Definitely try the Italian and American sandwiches! The two young girls who worked the party were super friendly and helpful, as well as the young man who worked in the arcade and the young lady who worked the bar, however I cant say much about the people who were in charge of the bounce houses. Overall this could be an awesome place to have a party, the party itself was wonderful! They just need to make many changes to the place itself.
I did have fun, I really did. I decided my friends and I should find something different to do when we get together. Roller jam was just that. It was a full service bar with roller skating, quads or in line and a arcade to boot. Saturdays are 70s and 80s throw back jams to skate to from 9 to 2 and thats where it changes course. We didnt hear much of that music and its something thats advertised for every Saturday. It was one of the main points why we came because you cant find a club or place that plays that music anymore. You should know, Im from the millennial generation so it wasnt even about playing music from the good old days. It was 90s R&B mostly which is what I listen to on a daily basis, so its not as if I dont enjoy that style of music but cmon, you advertised something that you didnt deliver.
Dont get me wrong the place is ok.... but I tried calling earlier to see if they had my daughters size and to see if they have the bars to help them let me tell you 15calls later and no one answered so I took my chance and went anyway. When I got their the price was extremely higher then what the website say they dont have the bars and the smallest size is an 8toddler. When u asked to speak to a manager he comes to me from upstairs where the phone that no one answer and I explain to him what happened and that I was a little disappointed that my 4yr old daughter couldnt skate but I paid for her. All he kept saying was i dont understand and what would you like me to do which pissed me off so I told him to to f*** off and walked away wouldnt go back their even if they paid me sorry
The vibe is amazing and the. Ppl are amazing the music is amazing. The lights are amazing.BUT Im a skater not a civilian on the side just watching. The actual rink is small and the floor material is slippery and ur always focusing on other ppl u cant enjoy it. Whether its beginners or experts. Like ur constantly driving and on edge
I really hope the next time I come back with my twin 10 year old boys they bring the lights up. WAY too dark for children! Also music too loud for kids. The first skate guard was active and alert- the second one was listening to his ear phones while skating! Whose in charge? More supervision on the rink matters. Just because parents sign a waiver does NOT mean Rollerjam should allow participants to text while skating. Too many potential hazards due to management not enforcing basic safety rules. Very concerning.
I just went there tonight! It was great until I entered in through the door! $10.50 to enter with your own skates?! Yeah ok, I can overlook that but then I got to the lockers! Put my stuff in but couldnt use the locker because the door is blocking the quarter hole. I guess you are supposed to know to open the locker and then put the quarters in? So I figured that out thanks to staff and opened the locker and put the change in and pulled out the key only to have it lock the locker OPEN! So I had a key and went to get help from children who cant help the situation other than saying throw more money at it! I took my stuff out of the previous locker, put it back in a different locker and kept the key from the previous locker. I then went to check out the skate floor! I cant tell you how bad it is! Concrete with paint/wax over it?! My new skates were slipping and sliding as though I were trying to rollerskate on ice! I told them and the told me to run some water over my wheeles. Did nothing! I asked them to take my new skates out to rough up the wheels a bit out in the parking lot only to find when I came back in they were just as slick as before! I couldnt use them! I went to find a solution and they just said I had to rent some of their skates. So I went to check out the junk they have there and they didnt sell any rubber wheels like the ones they have there so on my way out and keep in mind they opened at 7pm and I was only there for fifteen minutes. I told them all this and they recommended another skating place to me. I told them I am not looking to go further away since I already drove from the north side of the island to get there so I held up my skates and asked if their skates all have the break on them which I am sorry but there is no way I am skating with a break on rollerblades. Anyway, obviously they all had the break on them and I just told them I was out of there. On the way out I threw the first locker key out the window toward their front door in the parking lot. Only reason I did that was because the two at the front were helpful in letting me know the place sucked and thats that! NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN~! EVER!!! They had me sign a release when I entered that protected them from a lawsuit! Clearly not insured and I see why! I fell in the first minute out on their skate floor! I am an experienced skater too! These floors are SLICK if you dont have the right wheels! BEWARE!
Oh man... where do I start... well I gave two stars only for the nice lady that called me, the lady that helped me when I got there and my host but that disrespectful man that approached me towards the end was very nasty and disrespectful after the fact of them getting my money on top of the fact that the pizza was horrible my cupcakes kept falling all over the table because of the base from the music my decorations wouldnt stay on the wall no matter how much tape I put smh the drinks sucks and this place IS NOT DESCRIBED LIKE THE VIDEO I really waisted my money here and would NEVERRRRR return or recommend any of my family or friends to this place and let me add I was late to my own event due to some personal issues but when I got there they had my setup in a DARK CORNER (BAD FOR PICTURES) again I had a back drop for my son theme and it wouldnt stay on the wall I paid $25 extra for the adults to skate which I lost that because my guest wasnt what I was expecting so it was a lost for me but I would never do that again EVERRRR
Skating was okay but it closes @1am and the arcade games weren’t working since 12 my bf and I went here for the first time and were very disappointed we asked for a refund and the manage declined with nothing else to offer 12:30 the whole arcade went black no warning. smh!!!
Nice place not to bad price to skate but they charge parents $5.00 that are not skating I think its crazy so I brought 3 kids so they are willing to lose the price of 3 skaters to charge me to stand there and watch the kids skate I will find other activities as an option just on principle.

2022-02-18We had a great time for my kids friends 9th birthday. Its good when you have a earlier party before the bigger kids start taking over. It has food and a bar and the roller area is pretty big. They also let you walk on the floor of your helping your kids to learn so thats cool.

2022-02-13Havent been there for a while, love this place , the owner is a very nice guy. But maybe to nice the staff is to young in my opinion. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and the servers were pretty lacks and slow. Need to revamp staff , need to be nicer and more assertive. Hope the bartenders on Saturday nights are older and experienced.

2022-04-21Great customer service. Decent food prices. Just a bit unkept with empty cups and water bottles, half eaten pretzels in the seats. In need of service monitor to bus empty food wastes. Otherwise a pleasant place to come and enjoy yourself with family and friends. Would go there again.

2021-08-28Only indoor roller rink in NYC so automatic 5 stars! Its a pretty small skate rink. Unusual surface: I think painted Masonite on top of wood, feels semi-sprung. Its a high friction surface so very fast even with slick wheels. For me, too fast for such a small rink. When we were there I found several small beads on the rink to trip me up. They have a skate guard that spends about half his time texting. He was skating on inline skates so probably didnt notice the beads. There is a full bar, I assume for adult nights but we were there for open skate. Best roller rink sound system Ive heard. Does not enforce masking.

2022-03-06Visited for a kids birthday party. Were pretty happy about the whole experience, just need a little more organizational improvements, or maybe more of an adult employee presence would do the trick
