An extremely interesting museum. They arrange free tours about the house. It was very informative and educational.

One of New York Citys hidden gems. A magnificent property which was owned and occupied by members of the Roosevelt family for almost half a century and is still in use by Hunter College and a Policy Studies Institute. At time of writing guided tours are only available on Saturdays, for individuals and small groups, and Fridays, for larger groups. Pre-booking is recommended because otherwise availability is not guaranteed. Tours, guided by well-informed staff, provide fascinating insights into FDR and Eleanors campaigns and lives before, during and after the time they owned the property. Well worth taking the trouble to make a reservation and take the tour.
