Rose Associates in other cities:
I sent an email and never received a respond back . It’s been two weeks now . Also due to my family size they cannot accommodate a bigger apartment from the HUD. So disappointed that I was told False information about being able to join a waiting list for a 1 bed room or even two from the tour. Now it’s being stated there is no waiting list and stated it’s close and do not know when it will ever be open . If I knew all this things for the jump I would of never move here . Now I’m stuck in studio apartment . I am so ready to move out of there . I feel miserable . I left a two bedroom apartment to be stuck in a studio .
Hello,My name is Marti and I lived in the AIRE, under rose associates management for 5 years. This management company is the best in NYC. If you have any issues with your apartment, the company will respond within an hour and fix the request immediately. Moreover, Rose is beyond professional in how it handles working with you. They are accommodating, professional and nice people to work with. I worked specifically with Brian at Rose and he was so helpful in responding to all my requests, concerns and questions. If you are thinking about living in a rose associates building, truly look no further. I am so beyond pleased with how Rose handles any situation, whether its a complaint or a request. They always make me happy and do right by their tenants. Now that I am looking to move apartments, I am only focusing on Rose run buildings. They are that good! Thanks for being amazing Rose associates!
I had a phone interview one of the companys recruiters for a leasing position in Manhattan,NY & I was ghosted like a piece of garbage after the interview concluded. No follow up, no automated email of rejection, NOTHING! Thank you Rose for making my job hunt a miserable experience.
I worked with Dace and Joe and the whole crew for three years while renting our home through Rose Associate. I could not have predicted as good of an experience as we had with them. They took care of us through the good times and through the tough times that come being a landlord.I really appreciate all the hard work and at very reasonable rates as well. My tenants likewise had good experience in their capable hands. I highly recommend Rose Associate as what must be the best property management group in New York!
I wrote an email and called about a hole in my ceiling and mold in my bathroom and never heard back. Since rose associates took over managing my apartment building it is impossible to get anything fixed even when the conditions are inhabitable. Still waiting for you guys to make this right.
My mother and I live at House 39 (she is the leaseholder). We have lived here almost 4 years and we cannot say how appreciative we are for the opportunity to live at House39. My mother is homebound so it is imperative that everything functions well in the apartment and I must commend Mr. Sully Mirzo in the maintenance department for his constant outstanding work every time weve needed help especially during this trying time with the pandemic. He truly goes above and beyond, he is timely, precise and very clean with his work.
Warning! I applied for a 1 yr rental almost 2 months ago for a Rose-Associates run building. I never get any answers to phone calls/e-mails and now that Im simply trying to get my money back to move on, still no answer! I just want my money back so I can be made whole and move on. Looks like I will need to involve regulatory agencies or the authorities. (Just want my money back in full and will gladly delete this review!)
I just signed a lease with this company and I REALLY wish I hadnt. Ive lived in a Rose NYC building in Harlem near 125th and Lenox for about a month now. I had a package stolen from the building and when I reported it, they basically gave me a polite we dont care and told me to file a police report. No one offered to review the security footage (whats the point of having security cameras if you wont use them to protect your tenants and their property) or even help me figure it out. This management company is useless and anyone considering leasing with them should run in the opposite direction.
My apartment has roaches, and I spray it at least once a month but they dont do anything to de-infest the building. At least once a week one of the elevators is broken, the hot water is always being repaired, sometimes my water is even brown! They call themselves a luxury apartment management company- what a joke! They should be ashamed.
I enjoy working with Joe at Rose Associates. Joe is knowledgeable, responsive and efficient. He gave great advice on how to get the unit ready for rent, listed it promptly and provided accurate and attractive descriptions. Unit was listed for 1 day and rented out on day 2. Very impressed with their efficiency. Thank you Joe and everyone in the office!
I absolutely love the apt but i am very concerned how they keep the maintenance of their elevators. I moved less than 2 months ago and it happened twice already that we had NO elevator working. I had to go up 25 floors and stay inside til one was fixed with my two little children so we could get out. I have always feared elevators but over at 408 East 92nd street (RiverEast apt) this is becoming a serious issue. The worst part is that i have been contacting the building manager and so far no answer. I will take this issue very serious and many other tenants will as well.
The corporate office, especially accounting is useless. They dont respond to emails and frequently get billing wrong. They never apologize and provide little to no service. Communications are a joke and they seem to restrict the guys who work in the building from being able to communicate with residents easier. I am frankly very surprised that a luxury condo would hire this company. No customer service approach at all.
Good morning everyone! I am writing because this is how our apartment was left after waiting for a month to have are electricians fix the situation. This is not acceptable. My mom is suppose to go into surgery on the 16 and the 21 which will probably be rescheduled due to the her not having any working fixture in her room. Also, in my room my mother advised the electricians that there was only one (1) socket functioning which they didn’t even bother to check. Our apartment is in danger for another fire. My mom complied with giving them access for four (4) days to fix the situation, however like always things are only left half done. We will be contacting Con Edison to come and check the situation in our apartment. LeeAnn never responds to her emails. When Adelina was working for the company she even came to the building during COVID-19 to address our concerns. But obviously they prefer to have individuals who don’t care so they don’t have to pay to maintain the building. So everyone in the building if you are having a situation which is not solved please continue to call 311. I am also going to be posting a name and number of an attorney once I get his permission that will help you with any and all your repairs.
This is in regards to a call placed to David Slay. I rent through my hospital and this company recently took over the account for their housing. Over the last 2 months, Ive been given inaccurate directions about how to pay my rent. My third attempt at mailing a cashiers check was again not posted to my account. When I called to inquire last week, Mr Slay said he would look into it. In every interaction, hes acted standoffish and to make matters worst, after waiting 10 days to hear an answer from him, I called again today, he gave me no explanation, literally saying that nothing has been done to fix this issue. Again, ITS ME WHOS MADE EVERY EFFORT AT PAYING MY RENT. After asking him when I could expect a response, he became angry and said that hes said everything he has to say to me and HANGED UP THE PHONE. Id like to reach whoever supervises this individual as I believe its on your companys best interest for your clients to be able to pay their rent. Im not even asking for the courtesy of a call back or politeness, just dont throw the phone on me when Im trying to fulfill my responsibilities as a tenant. Through every interaction with Mr Slay Ive been patient and understanding, but three months is a long time to be able to answer a simple complaint, and its more than anyone can bear.
Cant comment on all the employees of this place, but Robert Snailer is a unethical thief who doesnt even have the common courtesy of responding after cashing our check 3 months after we asked him to void the check due to the lack of response from him. Our mortgage broker never received all the required documents and we ended up killing the deal. We were already frustrated with his lack of professionalism, but this shady individual decided to cash our check 3 months after the fact is just borderline criminal, and he completely ignored all of our attempts to contact him. Granted its only $175, but this type of behavior has no place in the industry. We will be escalating this and make sure he does not do this to anyone else. Rose Associates, if you are reading this and if you care about integrity of your company, please investigate Robert Snailer.
Lost my rent check and have not provided any response or explanation. Standard excuse, were working from home. I found it impossible to find anyone able to provide any helpful information or indeed even to pick up the phone. Not just a bad experience but starting to look like a legal issue.
So disappointed in House 39 and the fact that the windows are still streaking because your building is defective. Im not sure why its so hard to freaking keep this clean, but its deplorable. Youre hardly a luxury building with the low standards you set for this, keeping the hallways clean, and the fact that your staff just doesnt care/isnt very helpful.

2022-05-28Pretty rough experiences with Rose from the start of my lease as they manage the building I live in. The building itself & its employees are good, but anything to do with Rose hasnt been great.Very unorganized, dont respond to emails, suite wasnt cleaned when I moved in, they didnt tell the front desk of my move-in date so they had no idea I was coming, and the lease was written incorrectly multiple times (which resulted in a rent overcharge as the dates were wrong on version 1). Surprisingly unorganized and poor communication for a well-established company.

2022-05-29Our building was taken over in January 2022 and in 5 months they have proved to be completely inadequate with their only goal… raise rents. Some has seen rents raises by 80%! Many have moved out and they don’t care. Their communication is absolutely horrible. They send emails with incorrect information. Our pool was a slimy moldy green on Memorial Day! And when I asked the leasing agent his answer was “I’m the leasing agent”. Their motto is “not my department” and “let’s screw all the tenants by jacking rates by at least 30%.” Our BBQ’s and fire pits haven’t worked for months. The hot tub is basically a smaller pool…not heated at all. They are horrible, careless, money-hungry misers who won’t upgrade apartments even though raising rents unconsciously.Don’t rent from them.

2022-04-27I worked with Olivia from Rose Associates regarding my lease at London Terrace Gardens. Extremely professional, polite, and communicative. Olivia went well above and beyond to walk me through all the steps and answer my questions. Absolutely wonderful to work with!

2022-04-09These past 6 months have been some of the worst times of my life. I’ve had to endure daily, constant discomfort in more ways that are too disgraceful to mention all here! I am completely humiliated by the treatment I’ve received, and the lack of concern for my health and safety is destroying me. I’ve had to go through the holiday winter with some of the worst depression I’ve had in years, all and only because of the disregard to your apartment’s maintenance needs, to finally offer a solution months later — half done. I am in ruins. I am in a vulnerable position, and you all get to take advantage of that.

2022-06-07Rose is terrible! They just took over management for my building and fired all the hard working people that actually cared about us as tenants. At best, it feels like you’re talking to a robot and they have no empathy at all. It’s a shame a company like this can take over and ruin a living situation. Their representative Lou Bauta is horrible, incompetent, and should be the one getting fired.

2022-05-11Dont ever live in any of their buildings!!! Management is extremely rude and they do not care about their tenants or the state of the living conditions in their buildings. Their building (20 Exchange) is in unlivable conditions (elevators dont work, people having to walk up/down 40+ flights of stairs, building wide power outages, garbage left in hallways constantly, etc) and they could care less. We are paying for a luxury building but we might as well be living in a dumpster.

2022-05-17I have lived in different buildings in different countries, Rose Associates NY is BY FAR the most incompetent and useless people I have ever encountered. Angela Sterling wasnt willing to help with the most basic request and actually wouldnt bother picking up the phone or reply to emails.

2019-07-31Please give me the name of someone I can contact who does want to find a solution, because it’s certainly not your building manager Nicole, who told me you already clean the windows enough (which you dont) and that it’s part of construction (which its not...its caused by a defect in the stone exterior, which I have in emails from you). Does that sound like a solution to you?So what are you going to do to fix the situation? Are you going to clean the windows more? Why dont you actually come down here and see how bad the issue are?Why wont you provide a refund of some sort when Im paying top dollar for views that have been obstructed for months (just see all of the photos of what I had to look at from November to May, when I picked this apartment for the view over on the House39 reviews on Google). Would you want to pay top dollar to look at that for months across every single window of your apartment, and then continue to have the issue repeat itself after the windows are cleaned? Im sure you would be greatly upset to if you had to look at this, and then had to deal with a building and management team that doesnt care to resolve the issue or find a solution, and that is really all I want. What are you doing to make sure the windows wont continue to have streaks after theyre cleaned? Havent heard an update on this in months and I want one.You have done absolutely nothing to make my experience more positive, and your building management has done nothing but make everything negative. I wish you and your staff acted the way you replied to my last review. If youre providing something that you market as a luxury residence, the windows should be clean. The views should be unobstructed from streaks. Your staff and building manager should be kind and accommodating. Your hallways should be kept clean. Im really not asking for very much.

2021-09-02Sadly, Glenwood Management no longer owns or operates the Caldwell building on 1520 York Ave. It was sold to Romarco Realty Corp. and being “managed” by Rose Management. The reviews are correct. This company is awful, the staff is rude and incompetent. They don’t have a phone number setup for the onsite management. In the 3rd week of Rose “managing” the building. Unfortunately, we are forced to deal with Rose until are lease is done but you don’t. You have better option on the UES who value your business and will treat you with respect.

2021-04-24Completely ghosted by this company during COVID. Non responsive for months and months. The property manager does not get back to emails, and is often auto-reply “out of office”. Our building repairs have not been kept up to date. Just because it’s one of your uptown, non-luxury buildings, does not mean we don’t also require help and responsiveness.
