I called and they came. They got the job done for a simple drain clog. It’s my fault because I agreed ahead of time, but they charged me a fortune. Couldn’t get any other company to come. I should have turned him away and kept shopping around. These guys are way way expensive

I contacted Roto-Rooter about a possible clog in our drain and a running toilet that we couldnt seem to fix. The dispatcher told me that I would not be charged unless the technician did work. They said that he could be there within 2 hours to which I agreed. However they contacted later stating that the tech was running late. I had a work call by the time the tech came and he had to wait a few minutes for me. I asked someone else in our house to show him the issues while I finished up with my work call.When I spoke with him, he said that there were minimal issues and did not even do any snaking of the drain or anything like that. He admitted that he barely did anything stating that he stuck his finger in the drain and pulled out some hair...He also tightened something on the toilet - probably took him 5 minutes. I asked if there was a fee since the work seemed minimal. He said that he had to check with his boss because he had been there 45 minutes (he was late and had to wait a few minutes, and by no means did he do 45 minutes of work).Then he tried to charge me around $400+ (pre tax) with a $150 discount but included a $71 form of their of drano. I told him to forget the drano. He took out the drano and the price was still around $360 (because the discount came down). I told him that the dispatcher said I wouldnt pay anything if work wasnt done and it didnt seem like he did much work. I finally negotiated him down to $200 (Im not opposed to paying him for his time, but $400 for less than 45 minutes (assuming he was actually there that long, which I dont think he was) is insane. $200 is even unrealistic. He stormed off after that, seeming to act pretty unprofessional in my opinion.A day later, the things he fixed were broken again - toilet continuing to run, bathtub drain draining slowly.We got a local recommendation for a plumber and will go with them. This place seems like a bait and switch. Its unfortunate that they choose to behave this way.

I contacted Roto-Rooter and they confirmed appointment between the hours of 2p-6pm.Halfway at 4pm, I called them to get an ETA and they said they would get more information and call me back. At precisely 6:10p they called saying that they could send someone over and of course I said, “my time is valuable, that’s why I setup an appointment time window of when I’m available” and then they had the audacity to say that “they tried to contact me several times.” Where? They have my number correctly since they were able to get a hold of me at 6:10p and I checked, surprise NO MISSED CALLSAwful service 😣 😡 they charged $600+ for their services of labor for 1-hour of work from before and I called them back because my faucet was still leaking.. completely unprofessional, and there’s no recourse for this, other than them just apologizing

The Friday after Thanksgiving I had a major plumbing issue. My pipes were clogged and were literally busting at the seams. One of the major sewer lines also had a leak as it was old and corroded. Water was pouring out of pipes and was leaking everywhere in my basement. I immediately googled plumbers in my area and the number one company in the search was Roto Rooter. I was hesitant to call them, not sure why, I guess because they are nationally known and I thought a big company like them wouldnt be as personal as a mom and pop shop. Boy was I WRONG! Since they had 5 star reviews I did call them and they had a tech come to my house within a few hours. The first tech that arrived was Mario. All I can say is thank you thank you thank you Roto Rooter for hiring such an GEM! He was friendly, he was thorough, he explained every issue to me, he was super pleasant and so so helpful. He went above and beyond his call of duty!!!!! Once Mario did what he needed to to get my plumbing issue under control, the next day Elvis and a tech in training came to work with Mario to resolve the major issues and each and every one of them were wonderful. Then Harold showed up with his camera to look at the pipes further as the septic line outside house also had issues and he was super informative as well. All I want to get across here is that the team that worked on my pipes, were absolutely wonderful!!!!!! Work was professional, price was reasonable, they did what they said, no surprises, the showed up and didnt leave until completed!! And when they did complete they cleaned up the work area. It was unbelievable. Bottom line, If I ever have another plumbing issue (hopefully I dont) I am calling Rot-Rooter without hesitation!!!!! They were awesome.. I am not a relative or a friend or have interest in the company. I am just an very satisfied customer!!!!!!! They worked so hard and I just want them to know they are appreciated!!!!!
