Buyer beware!!! Was interested in a used X1. Went to look at it twice and was working with Randy. I had my own financing in place wound up walking away because we couldn’t get my payments where I needed to be. They were unwilling to come down on price one but. Randy called me 3/18/22 to say that his manager Peter wanted to make it work and asked that we come back up to get the deal done. “We really want your business” was what Randy said. We get there 3/19 and guess what…the car is sold. When I asked Randy if it was sold he said “well we will sell it to you first, but either way it’s sold today.” They weren’t interested in negotiating AGAIN. Typical used car salesman. Very disappointing. Can’t understand why people feel the need to lie.
My experience has been nothing less than terrible. My wife and I stopped by to test drive a couple models and fell in love with the Cx-5. Our sales person who seemed nice took our information and said he would call back after checking stock on our preference. Obviously he never called. I finally called the dealership and only got to leave a message, with no reply. There machine says they supply 100% satisfaction, wow is that a lie. A week or so later I called again in the am and left a message , with no response, so I called back at the end of the day and left a message offering a challenge to them. I asked if there was anyone there from a coffee maker to a window washer or maybe even a sales person or the owner who would like to sell us a car, and gave them till the end of the day to do so, and of course still no reply. I am now contacting corporate to let them now of this dealerships lack of desire to a vehicle to us. So save yourself time and look to another brand of car we are going to do.
I live 2 hours away, and I was trying to have them finalize financing and paperwork for when I arrive so I can leave with the vehicle as quick as possible. Tom was apparently on-board. I had my credit ran and everything so when I arrived it would be a down payment and signature away from leaving with the vehicle. When I arrived nothing was started, Tom was confused and on top of that it took the dealership over an hour to get a hold of a the bank apparently. Other dealerships don’t operate like this. When it came down to plates, it took them over 2 months to get my plates for me. They consistently gave me false time estimates, they don’t want to overnight anything to DMVs. This place is inefficient and Tom had the audacity to still carry out our conversations with attitude. Never shopping here again. And I will make sure my coworkers on my base don’t shop here either.
I was looking for a quality pre-owned vehicle for two months, I had recearched a particular model I wanted. I found one at Rt 9 Mazda. I met Sales Manager Vincent Diaz on the lot, I test drove, and asked about vehicle maintenance records. Vinny gave me a CarFax and records from previous owner. I took time going over them. I expressed concerns over a couple of items. Vinny checked, and the dealership took care of my concerns before purchase.Susan Viaz , was very helpful with financing and between ,Vinny and Susan, made my experience at Rt 9 Mazda go very smooth.
Excellent Experience. My son bought a Mazda 3 in June 2021 and we just left a deposit on a Mazda CX30 for my wife. It should be here in April. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. We got a fair deal (Covid and oil price) on both vehicles.I highly recommend Route 9n Mazda in Poughkeepsie, NY.
They did a great job taking care of my car. Also, love the video they send to you that shows everything that is going on with your vehicle. This really removes so much of the mystery and is something I’ve only ever experienced in upscale body shops. Happy that they’re providing this to customers. I was also in and out for my oil change and tire rotation. Very speedy.
We went there to purchase a used car. Made an appointment and there was a vehicle waiting at the entrance for us to check out. The mileage was a little high, so Matt, the salesman we dealt with looked through his inventory and brought us another option in the same colour with half the mileage. We ended up buying the vehicle and are so far happy with it. What Im unhappy with is the financial side of things. The finance guy found us a good financing option with the lowest rates which was great. The issue occurred when he asked if we wanted to do automatic payments, which I did. Two days later i get a call from a 3rd party company asking me for additional details. It wasnt made clear to me that automatic payments wouldnt be handled directly by my bank. I can only assume there would have been a fee for the service (and of course kickbacks for the dealer), which after being on hold for the better part of 15 minutes with the dealership I managed to cancel. That sort of sneaky behaviour means I probably wont buy a car here again.
Not happy with Route 9 Mazda, or their salesman, Randy Smith, one bit!My girlfriend and I drove 6 hours to look at this vehicle. We get to this place and we automatically see the body damage on the vehicle, which, of course, wasnt in the pictures! We test drove the vehicle any ways. During the test drive we turned some music on and one of the speakers was blown in the vehicle! For a vehicle that was listed for $30,000 and only being a year old, we were expecting there to be nothing wrong with the vehicle!Good job Randy Smith and Route 9 management for allowing a potential customer simply walk away from the deal, you guys did absolutely NOTHING to try to save the deal.👏Your guys loss though. We will be sure to never recommend anyone to your establishment
My wife and I could not have had a better experience buying a new car. We dealt with Mike the general sales manager, Ken from finance, Tom from sales, and Joe the service director. We had a price point going in and they bettered that. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. They went over every detail of the car(CX-5) and took their time answering questions. I drove the car home the same day. I would highly recommend Route 9 Mazda to anyone buying a car. I would also recommend going in person because they treated us so well.
My shopping experience here was greater than others. With every dealer ship - there’s some sorts of BS… but that’s not to be surprised of!! As that’s just the reality of it. After bouncing between like 5 different cars. I found the vehicle of choice. Process was decent overall. Walked away with a deal I felt comfortable with. I’d buy a car here again. Worked with “Jim” from sales - who got the job done in a satisfactory manner.Feedback for dealer ship overall -Needs to be modernized. Very bland inside & out.Lots of men……. Lack there of apparent diversity.
I usually dont write reviews especially negative ones, but I felt a need to warn others who might be looking into purchasing a new or used Mazda from Route 9 Mazda of Poughkeepsie. I was interested in purchasing a used car I found on their website. I emailed back and forth with a salesperson for about a week and filled out an application to get a loan. I received an email on Saturday at 3:30pm saying I was approved for a loan and they asked when I could come pick up my car. I said I needed to test drive it and that I needed to know more details about the interest rate and monthly payments. The next day I drove over 40 minutes each way to test drive the car I was already approved to purchase. When I arrived the salesperson couldnt find the car, a manager explained that the car was no longer available and must have been already sold. They tried to offer me another similar car with higher mileage and cost an additional $4,000, which I was not interested in buying. They apologized and said they could work with me to purchase a new car of the same make and model. The next day the sales person called saying I was approved for new car with high interest rate for 72 months but the color I wanted wasnt available anymore. I would need to pay a $1000 deposit and trade in my car. This new car was a different color then the one I wanted and the loan was much more than what I wanted to pay. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I will not be looking into purchasing a new or used car from this dealership again. Use caution if you plan to buy a car from them.
In July of 2019 my lease was up on my 2016 Mazda 6 that I had gotten from a dealership on Long Island but having relocated upstate I decided to turn it in to a more local dealership. After reading reviews about the closest to my location I decided to go a little further and made my way to Rte 9 Mazda. I was comfortable with my 2016 but this time wanted to purchase rather than lease and also wanted to upgrade from the sport model. They happened to have exactly what I wanted on the lot. One of the extras which wasnt exactly on my list of wants was an after market remote start that happened to be broken. Jamal was my salesman at the time (congrats on your well deserved promotion) and I have to say he made the whole process seamless, fair and honest. He even arranged to have an upgraded brand new remote start installed at no charge. I cant say enough positive things about the whole experience. He was personable, knowledgeable, patient, trustworthy, transparent and went out of his way to help during and after the sale. Of course people will say well thats his job, in response Ill say then he does it well and I appreciate that, especially since the car buying business that can be thought of as sketchy to say the least. Yes, people have negative experiences but that applies to most everything in life. I give credit where its due and what this review reflects is my own personal experience with Jamal and the dealership as a whole. Being in and driving my 2016 Mazda 6 touring is one of my personal joys, she looks good, feels good and she can respond to this impatient old ladys lead foot, which is pretty much all the time. Hasnt let me down yet or gotten me in too much trouble 🤪. Ill probably hang on to her until the 2022 new 6 cylinder comes out. You can be sure Ill be heading to Rte. 9 Mazda for a test drive!!
I was recently interested in trading in my car and purchasing a Mazda. The sales man, Matt, really went above and beyond by showing me every option I have in purchasing a car from him. He went over financing and leasing. Overall Matt made it a great experience and I would 100% recommend going to him if you were interested in buying a car!
My sales associate Myles went above and beyond to make my buying experience the best that it possibly could be! He was very professional and friendly and the whole process fun and stress free! I’m so happy to have found this dealership and will be referring them to everyone I know! Thank you Myles for helping me!
I went in believing that finding a car was gonna be as stressful as always. I was honestly surprised by how well the staff handles themselves. Very professional and very courteous. Matt specifically took great care with my concerns and made me feel comfortable exploring all the possible options that would suite me. He changed my perspective on the car buying process and I couldnt be happier with his service. I will be referring everyone I know to Route 9 Mazda!!
I went to Mazda to check out a couple of vehicles and ran into a a sales person named Jim who was truly on point knew about the in and out of the vehicles on the lot. He was nice and truly helpful in every way. I couldnt ask for more. If your in the market for a new vehicle this is the place to be. Mazda on route 9.
Thankful to route 9 Mazda for getting me into a car quickly, and safely during this pandemic. I needed a new vehicle for my family but was nervous about buying during COVID. Everything was clean, and the process was safe and fast. I worked with Vinny for most of the deal and he was great! He listened to my concerns and was understanding.
Recently my husband and I had to have our car serviced and we were told it could take a few days. We got a rental from hertz. It was a Mazda cx30. We ended up at the Mazda dealership and we worked with Anthony Gibson. We ended up getting a 2019 Mazda cx5. It was delivered to our house. We want to thank Anthony and the delivery team for taking care of us. We will recommend this dealership to our friends
Not the best experience with this dealer. I was interested in a Miata. They had the color and options I wanted. Not much stock around so I was willing to travel a couple of hours. So first no discount on MSRP, but I know there is a shortage so okay with that. I take my trade in to a local CarMax for a quote and ask Rt 9 to match. They wont agree to match have to look at the car first. They know Im traveling over a 100mi. Come on CarMax doesnt over quote and they quote 1000s of cars a day. This smelled like such a rip off. Anyway I found a similar spec at Tulley Mazda in southern NH. They took 3,300 off the Miata and matched CarMax. On Tulleys website every single vehicle is discounted off MSRP. Sure there is a shortage, but still dealers borrow to stock so everyday the car sits is another day of interest for them. Is the manufacturer charging them more? Its like scalping tickets should be illegal. Look around I dont think you are going to get your best deal here.
I recently brought my car in for an issue I was having with my CX5. The service department there is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly, and helpful. I felt they were genuinely interested in finding a solution to my problem, and they did!!I would highly recommend Route 9 Mazda service...Thank you!!!!
I am only in the process of shopping around for a new car, not ready to buy yet. I spoke with Vinny about my trade in options, price point, and the mazda options in my price range. Vinny was great! Even knowing that I had no intentions on buying the day we spoke, I never felt pressured to buy and Vinny took the time to answer my questions and provide me with the information I needed. I will definitely go back to buy from Vinny when I am ready!
On a whim took a visit to see what was on the lot. Was met by Diana who was a pleasure to work with. She was informative about the vehicles and made sure I was confident in my knowledge of each that I had an interest in. She teamed up with Carlo to help provide me a solid picture of my financing and potential risks and benefits. A low pressure environment with excellent teamwork! Great experience!
I bought a 2021 Mazda CX5 a few months ago and the staff was extremely kind, professional and attentive. They worked with me so I was able to purchase my car with no issues at all. There was a young gentleman who i believe was in training, who explained all the details of my car and answered all my questions. I do not remember his name but he did a great job.
I had a great experience with Mazda. Both the sales and service departments were excellent. I had a lot of questions regarding the purchase and they were very helpful and thorough every step of the way. I would definitely recommend this dealership.Update-- Sent my father in to check out a used truck, and his experience was also seamless, a year later. He worked with Vinny on the deal.
Salesman told me “ I’m not going over all cars on the lot !!!” After I asked about other Mazda 5 model with same year salesman tried to push me. I told them specific price range and after presenting model with dog smell on interior of the car and having stains on back seat, he gave me price with $4000 higher that I was expectingI took my son and we left immediately. Floor manager was staying next to us. He didn’t even move to ask what was wrong. Bad attitude , bad customer service.
The buying experience was simple and straightforward. Shelby was great to work with. She didn’t try to sell me extras or pressure me into anything. I was out in 2 Hrs and that’s how it should be. Diana was very helpful in explaining the features of the car and took her time. Very pleased with the entire process. The car had some scratches at the bottom left bumper, I guess from the delivery truck bringing it down. They took care of it. It was no big deal. Service department is also a good experience so far.
Awesome service by Mr. Jamal Chase. I am looking for a second car and he was able to answer all of my question. Mr. Chase was very attentive and never made me feel rushed or pressured to buy a car. Mr. Chase was very professional and kind.We talk about the color of the car I want and the color inside the car I want. To some it all up it was a wonderful and professional experience I had a Mazda. Thanks A Million Mr. Chase!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Nicole C for an inquiry i had. She went about and beyond to provide support and information. She was very patient and provided great insight and customer service throughout. Would highly recommend Nicole as she made the process so easy for us as we look to purchase a new car!
No one likes having to start out looking for a new vehicle. Most experiences are stressful events. Not so here. From the first step on the lot to the end signing, I never felt rushed, pressured, or otherwise put-upon. The sales staff, management and finance department were stellar in providing a light touch, answering all questions (sometimes twice), and giving me the space to make a decision, even encouraging me to look at other vehicles before committing to purchase. I love my new Mazda! If the service department is as great as the floor team, I will be a lohg-term customer.
My wife and our purchased a used vehicle from this location. Anders helped us with the initial purchase and we had a great experience. There was an agreement to fix a minor issue upon purchase. There were some issues getting it fixed and it took a bit longer than I hoped but Anders, with the help of the sales manager Jamal, were true to their word and got it done. I very much appreciate the help and hospitality and would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle!
Went to Mazda on 9 looking to get a new car and Matthew was very helpful. He had the answers to my questions and when I asked about certain cars and specifications there was no “let me figure that out” or “let me go ask my manager”. He knew what he was talking about and knew the information almost as if he studied every car on the lot. That to me shows a good salesman and someone who wants to put the right person in the right car as well as making an honest deal.
Seamless, friendly, and top notch. Route 9 Mazda really knows how to make buying a car an easy feat. Andrew N. was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, and down to earth. I did my research and had specific things that I wanted the car to have. He kept in touch with me and was able to find me the perfect car for my every day needs. After I purchased the car, he took the time to explain every component of my new car in detail. Shelby, from finance, meticulously explained the contract and answered any questions that I had. She was very friendly and very accommodating. I walked away with confidence and assurance that I got the best possible deal. Chad, the general manager, came over to introduce himself and make sure I was taken care of properly. This dealership makes you feel like youre a friend. They care about their customers and they make sure that your needs are met. If youre looking for a car (new or used), I highly recommend Route 9 Mazda! I am one happy customer!
I recently went to the Rt 9 Mazda and had a truly wonderful experience. Having never bought a car on my own before, I was nervous walking in, but Vinny, in particular, was extremely knowledgeable and patient in answering all of my questions. He made me feel comfortable and walked me through all of the steps throughout the entire process.
I had called to make an appointment and ended up speaking with Nicole Corona. She sounded so lovely on the phone and had answered all of my questions, she was so helpful and sounded very energetic on the phone as well. I can tell that she was very patient and really wanted to make sure I had a great experience. I was very pleased with the service and wished that all companies had someone like her to answer the phone! it would be making appointments a whole lot more enjoyable. THANK YOU!!!
I don’t usually post reviews but I felt like I needed to share my most recent experience with Route 9 Mazda and Vinny Diaz. I had been a Nissan guy for quite some time and loved my Rogue but was maybe looking to try something different, and talking to Vinny made it clear that buying from him was a no-brainer. Vinny was polite, courteous, easy to get along with and never pressured me once into purchasing anything on the spot, even though I did. I went home with a CX3 and couldn’t be happier. Vinny led me through how to finance the vehicle, when I should come in for service and gave me his contact information should I have any questions. The car buying experience couldn’t be any better than at Route 9 Mazda, so I’d suggest anyone who’s looking for a new car to stop by and ask for Vinny.
Update: After a bumpy start, Mike Smith, the General Sales Manager went above and beyond to fix some problems I encountered. Im very grateful to him for how he handled the situation. He made it very clear that he would take care of the issues that happened and make necessary changes. I have to give credit where credit is due. All issues have been resolved and Route 9 Mazda even went a little further to insure customer support.
My first car experience with buying a vehicle from this dealership, and it was pleasant, smooth and stress free.Jamal who helped me with the purchase was very knowledgeable, accommodating and extremely professional; I could not have asked for a better person to have done business with.
My husband bought a car from them 7-8 weeks ago. They still havent processes the transfer of the registration, the temporary expired 2 days ago and they told him he needs to speak to Laura and shes away, then promptly hung up on him. He didnt even get any words out beyond, hi, I need to speak to whoever handles the vehicle registrations. .**EditThe sales manager Mike called us back after seeing this review and explained the situation and reassured me that we wouldnt be ticketed if stopped for this due to covid related dmv delays and he will follow up on Monday. Which is all we wanted to ask when we called. I really appreciate the call and reassurance.
We did not purchase a car here. We did not even plan on stopping in. I was already set on purchasing a different used vehicle, but I will say this...speaking with Matt Todaro is enough for me to write this review. He is knowledgeable, professional and NOT pushy, NOT arrogant, NOT a jerk, which is who we interacted with at many other dealerships. If my scheduled purchase did not go as planned we would have gone to Matt for a CX-9. Instead, we’ll be back for our daughter’s first car 👍
I had one of the most aggravating experiences of my life attempting to test drive a vehicle at this dealership. This is the first one star review I have ever given, but I believe my experience warrants it. I heard decent things about Route 9 Mazda from friends of friends and most of the reviews on google cite excellent experiences, so I figured I would reach out about a vehicle I was interested in. I found a Mazda6 sedan on the dealerships online inventory and submitted a request through their website. Almost instantaneously, I received a text message from someone in sales. I was excited at the quickness of the response and followed through with product specialist Tom. Tom and I agreed on a date and time and all seemed well, however, the following evening I received a confirmation email from Tom stating a different time. I figured that his schedule could have been filled or perhaps he made a mistake, so I emailed Tom and asked him about the change in time. I received a reply not too long after saying that the original time, 11:00 am, was still fine and confirming my appointment for a test drive. I drove down to the dealership on the agreed upon date, a commute that took me 45 minutes, and I arrived 15 minutes early in order to find parking and make any necessary check-in arrangements. At this point, I was fairly excited because I saw the car that I was interested in parked in the lot and, assuming the test drive went well, I had my mind made up about sealing a deal. This is where things took a turn for the worse. I walked around the lot for a few minutes because I did not wish to be too early for my appointment and I was surprised to see no salespeople about. After pretending to look over a few other models, I decided to stroll inside where I was greeted by nobody. I approached a desk of sorts and asked for help, so a younger man approached me and asked what I was there for. I told him that I had made an appointment with Tom for a test drive and he informed me that Tom was busy at the moment, so he instructed me to have a seat in the waiting room. I happily obliged and as I walked over I was told Tom would be right with me. There were scores of people walking in and out of the waiting room and there was a woman complaining to a staff member about her sons trade-in taking too long. She was moderately angry and making a fuss, but since I am not one for confrontation with any business, I just figured she must have been in a bad mood. How wrong I was! Looking back, I understand exactly where that womans anger came from. I waited in that awful waiting room for an hour and 15 minutes, not counting the 15 minutes early, before finally just giving up and leaving this pathetic excuse for a dealership. I waited patiently as staff members walked in and out and I attempted to get ones attention, but he just greeted another man in the waiting area, ignored me and left. I saw Tom enter at one point and waved to him, but got nothing back. I guess you could say I really felt like a valued customer, you know, being ghosted like that and wasting an hour and 15 on my day off. I did not even have a chance to eat before I left for the dealership that morning and the experience infuriated me to the point where I will not even look at any other Mazda dealerships, I am going to test drive Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus and really any other makes besides Mazda. Worse still, a few days later I received another email from Tom asking me if I still needed help with the vehicle I was interested in, as if nothing had happened and I was still planning to purchase from them! He really just blew me off and did not care! The best word I can think of to describe this ordeal is simply RIDICULOUS! This experience occurred back in March 2021 and if you are wondering why I waited a while to post a review, well Route 9 Mazda can wait for me for once. If you have good luck here that is all well and good, but I cannot, with good conscience, recommend this dealership to anyone.
I had a wonderful experience at Route 9 Mazda. Before getting amazing help from Vinny Diaz, I thought getting a vehicle was going to be stressful and time consuming but he proved me wrong! I felt very comfortable and informed which is not something all car dealerships can do for their clients!
Diana is actually the best. She was soo nice and helpful throughout the entire experience of buying my Mazda. Never made me feel funny about asking questions or having concerns (and the fact that I test drove like 5 cars lol) she was like talking to a friend! Tom was super nice too! And a young man working the front desk (?)
Recently my sister wanted to purchase a new vehicle, more specifically a Mazda, so she asked me to go with her to look. The sales person we dealt with, William Doyle, was beyond professional. Easy to work with and talk to, and just an all around good guy. We had zero issues with the process from beginning to end. I’m getting ready to purchase a new vehicle myself, and have already made the decision that I will be purchasing from him when the time comes. Keep up the good work!
How does one sum up an experience in excellence? I ask that the reader allow me to take their senses upon an adventure! Enter I, one Reginald Masterson, man on a quest to quench his thirst for an automobile of sophistication. My journey begins, wrought with fear, as most car buyers must sympathize with in imagining the dealership experience. My fears are ever so slightly alleviated by a conversation via telephone with the beautiful Ms. Stefanie Bernstein. I now have mustered up the courage to embark to the dreaded building itself, that I may experience my chariot for myself. Our story is now joined by Mr. Justin Myles, a true gentleman if such a thing remains. This young mans delightful nature brings my demeanor into a place of calm. However, my chariot chosen, it is now time to enter the forboding office of finance... Not so! The strapping Mr. Kenneth C. Fadden created an experience of true bliss, both thorough and expedient. One could never dream to think such a disquieting task could bring such ecstasy! I now cross on through the voyages of my humble travels through the universe in my wonderful, and properly protected, steel carriage, namesake of the mighty Ahura! Excelsior!
I will never buy another car from anyone else but Mazda from now on. I saw an Acura ILX there that I fell in love with. Jamal was great. He helped me get into that car staying around the monthly prices that I felt most comfortable with. Another thing rhat I noticed was he wasn’t pushy he made sure I felt comfortable with the price as well as in the vehicle. Go to Mazda and ask for Jamal.
I had a great car shopping experience here in December. Tom S. was patient with my questions and generous with his time - he let me take the 2 models I was deciding between on fairly extensive test drives and followed my cues on when I wanted to talk and when I wanted to focus on the drive. Shelby was excellent at wrapping up the details of my lease. There was nothing hard sell about the place, but everyone was very helpful and responsive. Very pleased!
Has such a wonderful experience with this dealership and specifically Vinny Diaz. I needed to lease a car and Vinny made the process so seamless especially during the pandemic. I felt comfortable and safe through the entire deal. I highly recommend visiting this dealership and Vinny!
My car shopping experience at Mazda route 9 in Poughkeepsie was amazing! Jamal was very detailed about everything, honest and friendly. Shelby in the finance department was very knowledgeable and worked diligently to get me a deal that fit my needs. I didnt feel rushed or pushed into a deal like I have in the past when purchasing vehicles at other dealerships. I would definitely recommend Jamal and his team at Mazda route 9!
I purchased a new Mazda3 at Route 9 Mazda of Poughkeepsie, NY in May 2021.I am a car guy and very particular about the car buying process. All staff at Route 9 Mazda made me feel that they understood my specific needs. They gave me space and time to get acquainted with the car (without “hovering” over me).Product Specialist (Salesman) Anders supported me throughout the day. He coordinated some requests I had with the service department. When I mentioned as an aside that my phone was running low, he immediately offered me his personal charger.Communication with the dealership was seamless. Before traveling two hours to Poughkeepsie (due to very limited local inventory in NYC), I called Route 9 Mazda to verify if the vehicle of interest was indeed available, what the current actual mileage was, and which tire brand had been installed (I prefer Bridgestone rather than Toyo). The car was checked and my questions were answered within just a few minutes (here in NYC, most dealers have lots off-site and cannot provide such information expeditiously.)The General Sales Manager Jamal oversaw my experience from beginning to end. He made arrangements for me to be picked up at the Poughkeepsie train station (as I no longer had my previous car). He was constantly accessible via text, from the evening prior (when I had questions about the dealership), to very early in the morning (when I wanted to confirm I was on the train), to the evening following my purchase (when he reached out to thank me).The finance/business office portion was an easy, in and out experience. No upsell schemes. No surprises.Thank you!
I had a great experience at Route 9 Mazda, everyone was very friendly and eager to help, they answered all my questions. Managers were up front and I felt they were trustworthy. The service department was wonderful and all around great service. Also have to note, during this time of a pandemic.. I also felt safe which was very important.
Bought a Toyota from Mazda, within the first 2 weeks it has issues, they told me to bring it to Toyota through my insurance . No way two weeks and no help. Not until many phone calls to Mazda and going there and fighting with them I finally got them to take it to Toyota. Then they only gave me 1 key said I would get another 6 weeks later nothing. Asked multiple times for one, would just get yeah we will check on it, then nothing again.Told them I wanted to give the car back they tried to give me a trade for a Mazda suv in the same year but has less options then the Toyota . Why would I down grade . They wouldn’t give me anything with same options as a trade.Horrible service and never buying a car from then again nor a car from a different dealership .I have to say only person who tried there best but didn’t have the authority to do more is Miles. He should get more pay, more access abs a better company to work for.
Vinny Diaz honestly made my visit to Mazda on route 9 so worth it! He tailored to each and every one of my needs/ wants and did so with a smile on his face and an eagerness to help. I can’t believe the effort he put into our search. I’d like to thank him from the bottom of my heart for the years of happiness to come!
Matt was excellent!! I came in for a test drive with my brother and although we ended up not making a purchase, Matt made the experience still a 10/10 with continuous support, answers to our questions, and recommendations as well. Still on the market, but found a solid contender at this dealer!
I am looking for the right car for my first time purchase and I had a lot of questions!!! I thought I was being really annoying, but Nicole was SO helpful; she was very patient and honest. If she didn’t have an answer right away, she took the time to figure it out for me and made making an appointment so easy. Thank you!!!
I went in to look at a mazda 3 hatchback and was helped by a gentleman named Matt todaro who was very professional about the whole thing. I didn’t feel crazy pressure to get into anything that day and was brought through a lot of the upsides of this vehicle whilst still not trying to pull the wool over my eyes;I did my own research prior. Even though I didn’t walk out with a car, it was one of the better experiences I’ve had at any dealership.
My boyfriend, Aelijah and I went to Mazda RT 9 yesterday. From the minute we walked in they greeted us with kindness. We test drove and he decided he wanted the car. The atmosphere there was complete positivity and we enjoyed every second! Dianna, Shelby and chad were amazing and helped him all the way through. I never thought i, myself would want a Mazda, but when it is time for me to get a new car WE WILL BE BACK!!!Thank you all!
I came to see a vehicle and the person who walked us through it was very nice. I put down a $500 deposit to hold as I wait to see finance offers. The offer was more than the other vehicle I was looking at so I turned it down. Shelby, I believe is one of the finance staff, reassured me that my money will be refunded back in a few days and even took my card info down. A few days passed and no sign of the $500 refund. I call again and spoke to a couple people. Shelby reached out to me again and took down my card info and had me send a picture of the receipt. She never got back to me and a week passed. I decided to go to the dealership itself and ask, I emailed her beforehand. When I got to the dealership, the same guy helped me and let me know that she processed it the day before and will come in 3-5 days. She never replied to my email to tell me this or just let me know in general that she processed it. The dealership was an hour away from me. I could have saved a trip. Also, it took her almost two weeks. It’s $500 of my own money. We’re in the middle of a pandemic and people have lost their jobs and are getting evicted. This is how they treat their customers? I am fortunate enough to not need that money right away but what if it was someone else who did need it?
I recently just bought a 2019 CX-5 from Route 9 Mazda! My overall experience was excellent! I am currently living in South Carolina for work and made the road trip home to purchase my new car. Tom was who I worked with and it was such a great smooth process! He kept the line of communication open and easy while I was traveling letting me know every detail needed for me to make my purchase! The entire team there are so awesome! Customer service was 110% from everyone! I couldnt be more please with my vehicle and the Route 9 Mazda family! You have a customer for life now! I highly recommend this team and Tom for all your vehicle needs! Thank you Tom, Chad and the whole team!
Everyone here was extremely nice and very honest. The manager explained everything to us and was very upfront. We spoke directly with the mechanic who was going to be working on the vehicle as he wanted to know exactly what issues we were experiencing. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. Ive never been happier with a car service experience!
Awful experience. Avoid this place!!! I chose to visit because they had 5 CX9s on their website. I emailed in the morning to make sure they had them all on site and was told that all were available. I take the hour drive that same day and once I get there am told that they only have 1 CX9 available. That should have been my red flag not to trust them anymore but my wife liked the car they had available. We agreed on a price in the lot and I was asked to come inside to work on paperwork. There were other cars ahead of me but was told they’d call me with finance rates the next day. They called and since their rate was high (being that my credit score is over 775) told them I’’ll finance with my bank and I just need the purchase order paperwork to submit for the loan. They send me the paperwork the next day but the price of the car increased by $500! I immediately called and told them the price was wrong and was told because I am not financing with them, they need to raise the price of the car! The price I negotiated was never based on how I was paying! We agreed to a set price before they even asked how I was paying. I complained on the phone with the finance lady (who had a very nasty attitude from the beginning) and then was transferred to the sales manager who told me they have to make money through the financing and since I wasn’t financing with them they need to make it somewhere else by raising the price. After much argument, he said he can change the fee to 250. I was tired of the whole thing and agreed to it and asked him to send new paperwork the next day changing the 500 fee to a 250 fee. I wait all day for it and finally received at the end of the day with an ADDITIONAL 250 ADDED! So now we are 750 more than we agreed upon! His reasoning? It includes dealer fees that I supposedly knew about from the very beginning. Not once were these fees ever mentioned and if they were legit, why wouldn’t they be included in the first official purchase order I received? What an unprofessional, dishonest dealership. They lie and cheat you every possible way they can. Based on their previous lies, I have a good feeling they would have lowered the value they gave me on paper for my trade the day we picked the car up as well. The process of picking the car and agreeing to a price was easy. After that, it goes downhill quick with their lies. AVOID!
I went to get a new lease and really am on a tight budget. Vinny was able to work with me and guide me in the right direction to keep me on track with my budget. Vinny is knowledgable, and dependable. He was able to answer all my questions and even dealt with me when I kept calling with more question! 🤪 thank you vinny, for making an experience I usually hate, very smooth and easy!
Me and my wife are looking for a car for my daughter that just started college. We seen a Mazda cx3 and sent in that we were interested. My wife received a email from a sales person saying lets set up a date and time to come in and see and test drive the car. This location is a hr away from us so my wife said I just have some questions befor we come so we are not wasting our and there time. Also said that we have a fair credit score . This was yesterday early afternoon a hole day later and still havent gotten a response from the sales lady . All I can say is first impression means alot. So now we are reach out to other dealers
Tom, Shelby & Stephanie in Parts made purchasing my daughter her 1st car a smooth and pain-free experience . Tom was very thorough and insightful as we purchased my daughter’s car and explained all the vehicles features in great detail. He was very kind and there was no pressure it was a very easy and Straightforward process. Thanks Tom:0)Shelby, made the actual purchasing of the car and the financing of the vehicle a very stress free process and walked me through the whole process and spent a great deal of time with my daughter and I she truly went above & beyond. We are very happy with our purchase and we would definitely recommend RTE.9 Mazda to our friends & family
My wife and I had a very positive experience with Route 9 Mazda. After contacting several dealerships looking for the best price on the car we had chosen we were able to finalize the deal all through email correspondences. Stephanie, the internet manager was nothing but professional throughout the process and responded to all my wifes questions promptly and in the exact manner she had requested. Stephanie worked with Chad the General Manager and we were able to come to a mutually agreeable price. Despite some bad reviews we found on line , our experience at that point had been nothing but positive which we concluded, was due to the fact that we were dealing with an entirely new owner and team. We went in to pick up our car a few days later and again our experience was nothing but exceptional. The team who greeted us, Chris in Finance, Richie in Sales and Andrew the Product Specialist were all professional and friendly as we completed the process. Even in the face of some last minute car buying jitters on my part they remained helpful and accommodating despite the fact that we kept them there far after closing time! Dont let old reviews fool you, these guys are the best. Thanks Route 9 Mazda for dealing with some nervous buyers and making the entire experience a good one. Great job!
I recently visited route 9 mazda looking for an suvI was very unsure of what i wanted. Then came along vinny he was so pleasant and easy to work with. He helped me choose the perfect car for myself and my family and i would send my friends there in a heartbeat to work with him
I am very happy with the staff at route 9 Mazda in Poughkeepsie. Jamal, Shelby and Andrea went above and beyond to help me when deciding to lease my Mazda CX 5. From start to finish and even after the deal closed, Jamal helped me finalize my prior lease return as well. I literally never even had to go to the actual dealership. I highly recommend them!
I would say I am an automotive enthusiast so dealing with car salesmen that make things up/have zero knowledge is the absolute worst thing when it comes to buying cars. Andrew N. is a fantastic salesman who is actually knowledgeable about the cars he sells, and if he doesnt know something he finds out. He is also not pushy and takes time to understand your needs for a car. This is not common among car salesman in my experience and just makes the car buying experience that much better. They also gave me a super good trade in value on my vehicle, it would not have been worthwhile to sell privately after taking the tax savings into account. 10/10 would recommend, ask for Andrew N.!
I was looking for a new car and shopped around at many dealers. I had stopped at the Mazda on Route 9 and had worked with the sales, man, Danny Santiago. He was extremely friendly, personable and helpful. As great as my experience was, I ultimately decided to go with a Honda CR-V. I had the vehicle before and decided to just go with another. I would definitely recommend him and the dealership when looking for a new car. :)
I just purchased my second CX5 from Route 9 Mazda. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make the purchase stress free. Diana was my salesgirl and was always available to answer my call and questions. Big thank you to a Jamal who also was always there to answer questions and explain all my options. Also this was my second time dealing with Shelby who made sure everything was explained to me in detail. Cant say enough about Route 9 Mazda. When having service done Joe came out to make sure everything was OK and to make sure all was explained and any questions I had were answered. I never felt pressured or rushed in buying/service. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!!
I have been searching for a new car for about a month and someone suggested I try here. When I called to make an appointment I spoke with a lovely lady named Nicole. She was so helpful and knowledgeable that I am excited to come in. If everyone is as good as her I am confident that I will find my next car.
My experience buying a new car with Mazda Route 9 was great!! I did not feel pressure at all during the whole experience. Tom Simek, our product specialist, listened to what I needed in a vehicle, was knowledgeable about the car, and took his time going over all the features of the CX5. Thank you Mazda Route 9 team!
Sent them an email and they didnt get back with me. Called them and they dont want to negotiate car prices. Not sure if these guys are interested in selling cars.Updated my review. They did get back to me and we tried to negotiate a price. I did end up going with a different seller however Rt 9 did have a competitive price.
Love this dealership. Everyone especially Jamal will do anything and everything to get you in a vehicle that you will love and enjoy. You and your family will always feel safe in any vehicle you drive out with from Route 9 Mazda. Love you guys! Keep up the great job and stay safe!
Stay away.Went here to look at a few cars. They seemed nice enough. However the financing is where i saw whats really going on here. The financier said that they applied to 3 different loans, one of which was Capitol One. She told me i was denied for all 3 of them a few days later. Then told me there was another lender at a rate of 13%+. After terminating the deal, I called Capitol One to find out why exactly they denied the loan. Thats where I found out that they DID NOT deny the loan, and that the real rate was actually roughly 4%. On top of that, theres a $500 fee if you dont go through their financing. Which i had already seen on another review. Seems to be some serious dishonesty going on here and i feel like a fool for thinking i could trust them. However, Anders is a nice salesman.
They are under new management and it absolutely shows. I had no intention of buying a car when I stopped in and I was not pressured in the least.Everyone was really friendly and not in that smarmy We just want to get you to trust us way. They dont work on commission and they got me out of a car I hated into a car I love with minimal fuss, great customer service, and terms that worked for me. Highly recommend shopping there. Jim, my salesguy is the sweetest man, and Shelby, the finance lady couldnt have been more professional, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.
My wife and I drove on the lot of Rt 9 Mazda and started looking at the inventory of the Mazda CX-5s, our car of interest. Very shortly, we were greeted by Dan Santiago. He was not only very friendly, but very knowledgeable as well. His dealership had an excellent inventory selection, and we found the exact car we researched. We were prepared to go shopping, but that wasnt necessary, as Dan and his crew made our car-buying a pleasure. Chad, the GM, and Mitch, finance guy, also contributed to make the transaction as smooth as possible. They gave us a fair price for our trade, which we had researched, and the monthly lease payment was among the most competitive we saw advertised. The CX-5 is a terrific car. I would highly recommend the car and the dealership.
I stopped in for some services on my 07 Mazda six, the service department took me in very quickly and began working very promptly. Joe in service was very accommodating and the employees around the showroom were extremely kind. Very few dealers this way these days. Highly recommended
My experience at Route 9 Mazda was by far the least stressful and most helpful. Marc in sales did a fantastic job at making sure I was picking a car that fit my personality, my budget, and my familys needs! I highly recommend this dealership for their persistence on getting you into the vehicle you desire without any malice. Shelby in finance was super helpful & transparent about what I was signing for, the fine lines and all. The total experience was very positive & Im happily driving my new CX-5 with love
I contacted the dealership Saturday evening 6:03 pm regarding a 2017 Mazda 6. I contacted them on their website with confirmation for an appointment Sunday. They sent me the confirmation for a 11:00 visit with pictures of the car. When I got to the dealership they had no idea what was going and proceeded to tell me the car was sold. He said hold on I have another similar car same year. After 10 minutes nothing! Really, I emailed them late Saturday! Proceed with caution! This trip wasted 2 hours of my day.
After shopping around for weeks online and in person I found the perfect car at Rt. 9 Mazda and Jim Green was my salesperson. He was very energetic and excited to help me test drive the two preowned cars that fit my criteria. He did not try to up sell me as I explained I wanted what I wanted and had a budget cap to maintain. He respected that and I ended up with a beautiful 2 year old SUV that drove as if it was new. It had almost all the bells and whistles that I was looking for. They also gave me top dollar for my trade! A big plus there! Jim also followed up with me numerous times to be reassured that I was happy with the car. 👍🏻Two small negatives were::1: One of the Finance guys had a bad day and I was the last customer before closing and he became short and rude with me when I turned down the extended warranty. I was with my son and politely explained that it was way out of the budget was trying to stay in and wasn’t comfortable with those additional costs , yet he still kept throwing numbers at me as if it was an auction , even while speaking to my husband on the phone! ☹️ When I returned to sign my contract the next day, I requested another finance guy (Dave) and he was amazing! He took the time to help me find a plan I could work with, so I purchased one.2: I asked if the car would be detailed and cleaned and was told yes. The passenger door had a cluster of little nicks from another car door constantly hitting it and I asked if they would buff it out, I did not get a confirmed yes. And it was not taken care of. ☹️ After picking it up and driving it a day or two I noticed little things that confirmed they did not pay attention to details. The inside windshield/ windows were not cleaned as they had a foggy layer when a car sits in the sun for a long time and I also found personal items in the backseat pockets that belonged to the previous owner. No one wants to feel like you’re driving someone else’s car. If they could improve service in those areas then they would have gotten all 5 stars from me!
The process on buy the car was a headache at first but i still when on to get the car. Then I realize they over charged me I reached out. The Business Manager said she realize what when wrong and i was suppose to get a refund it is going on two months and still nothing. I email a bunch of time and still no email return. Be-careful
Dealer went above and beyond to get me the car I wanted the same day. Almost everyone was smiling and friendly and willing to help, but were not pushy or fake. They offered to pick me up on delivery day and were able to customize the deal to me. They had fair prices and were always one step ahead anticipating what was best for me. I would do business over and over.
This dealer is top notch! Jamal and Vinny are helping my niece get a car to go back to college. Her Nana is helping to co-sign. Her Nana lives almost 3 hours away on Long Island. Instead of making her come into the dealer they sent someone very nice to her home for her to sign. THAT is unbelievable service! Thank you very much Route 9 Mazda! Way to take care of customers Jamal and Vinny ! And Santa of course!
Everyone who we worked with throughout the process was very helpful and forthcoming. They were glad to andwer any questions we had and we never felt pressured or that anybody was stretching the truth just to make the sale. Overall it was a good car buying experience and we got exactly what we were looking for. Thanks specifically to Marc, Rich and Shelby for helping us.
I purchased a used Nissan Sentra with a 2 year warranty upon purchasing it became apparent customer care was not their concern. The car was dirty on the test drive, I was assured theyd have it cleaned when I picked it up. Which it was not, including the pills found in the center console. I brushed that off I can clean it myself. About 2 weeks into driving the car I wind up with a random flat no big deal I throw on the spare. 5 minutes later the spare is flat and extremely hot. Wind up having to tow it to the dealership and find the rims are damaged and need repair/ replace. This takes a good almost two weeks to perform. In which I was assured ALL rims were taken care of. Fast forward a few weeks and Im driving to work following the road at a left curve doing the speed limit (40) and in making that slight left I lost total control of the car causing me to sideswipe a mailbox. (Minimal damage considering) the cause: my right rear rim buckled inward losing all pressure immediately. After multiple calls and attempts to reach out to management, they dont call back and when they do they have to run this by their higher ups and promise to call within 48 hours which they do not. This is a 7000 car that I bought stupidly for 10 that they gave me such an unreasonable interest rate that if I just made my payments id be paying them 21k.
My husband and I had a great experience purchasing my CX-5 here. I’ve never enjoyed buying a car but everyone here was so nice from sales to management and finance. They managed to strike a balance between being helpful and not being overbearing. I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while; at a party this weekend my friend group realized that we have purchased 4 cars from Route 9 Mazda in the past month, without discussing it with each other. We all were very pleased our experiences.
I saw the car I wanted online and got an e-price which they adhered to without trying to sell me something I didnt want. Sent off an interest by e-mail and got a rapid answer. I went in the next day and the very next evening drove away in my new Mazda 3 Touring Hatchback, which I love. Mike Weiss answered my e-mails quickly and professionally and Jamal Pollard was very friendly and attentive to my wants. Just the easiest, no pressure car dealership I have ever been to.
Test drove a pre-owned car that had not been fully detailed and smelled like wet dog. Attempted to test drive a vehicle that would not start. There are no prices on the vehicles.. you have to find them online. The entire lot is covered in oil - I was slipping around. The salesman who helped my fiance and I was initially exuberant and fast-talking; later when we were less than impressed with the quality of used vehicles he showed us, and said as much, he became hostile and straight up rude. Going to this dealership was a huge waste of time.I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Even if youre buying a new car, the gall and rudeness of the salesman I dealt with was disgusting. If youre trying to get your car fixed, avoid this garage at all costs. There was oil literally everywhere, and the used cars were clearly burning oil.
I went to Mazda a couple weeks ago and was sketchy on what might come out. I feel like a lot of dealers are only about sales. My dealer on the other hand, Marc McGoey was much different. When I walked in I was greeted politely, my dealer was very honest and upfront with me and he also remembered my name within the shorty period of time we talked. This gentleman was very professional and honest and that’s all I look for at a dealership. I don’t like curve balls at all and for that, I have to say thank you route 9 Mazda. Keep up the great work and customer service.
There seems to be a disconnect within the finance department at this place. If you’re considering financing a vehicle from this Mazda dealer, please read about my experience. The specialist who worked with me during my initial visit was a seasoned and experienced finance professional. He was negotiable, respectful of my budget, and really seemed like he wanted to close the sale. I wasn’t expecting to put a deposit down, but I did. After all, I had purchased a vehicle from this dealer years ago when it was “Mazda of Poughkeepsie,” so I felt comfortable going back.Turns out that on my second visit to pick up the car and sign the final paperwork, I had a different finance employee. This gentlemen was quite younger and had quite an attitude. My first red flag began in their waiting room. I noticed that his office door was completely open and lacking privacy. Everyone in the waiting room could very clearly hear what was being discussed in detail in what was supposed to be a confidential meeting. I believe I overheard all loan payment installments, make and model, the customers interest rate and they spoke about the Avengers. Granted the waiting room was not full at the time, however; steps to improve customer confidentiality should of been put into place. When I finally entered his office , the parameters from the discussion I had with the previous finance employee were changed and now included “cash down” that was not established in prior discussion . When I questioned him about this I was met with sarcastic remarks, insincere apologies and a disrespectful attitude. As professional as I was, It was almost as if he did not want the sale to go through. It’s safe to say that I did not purchase the vehicle. It was not due to my finances, but instead the complete lack of respect and unprofessionalism from this one particular employee.
ALL NEW OWNERSHIP!!! Everyone was really helpful and friendly! Great service all around. Will definitely buy another car from them in the future. Got a great deal on a great SUV and the buying process was smooth and easy. I wasnt pressured or forced into anything. I really love the staff!!! And the dealership was in great shape. Good selection of used and new vehicles. Thanks guys and girls!!!
Outstanding customer service, great deal. No pressure car sales, these guys were by far the best sales people I met throughout my car shopping experience. They were respectful of my budget and worked to keep me below my max monthly payment. They even threw in a few extras even after negotiating a fair price. I would definitely shop here again!
I worked with Josh when looking to lease a Mazda CX 9 from the Poughkeepsie dealership. The experience from start to finish was excellent. Not only was Josh extremely helpful, but everyone I encountered there was so kind. Josh had the car ready for me when I came to sign the papers, was super helpful when I had to reschedule the signing because I got sick, and everyone asked how I was feeling when I went to pick it up! I have two toddlers and needed help moving the car seats from my old vehicle to the new one. Josh and a few of his colleagues came to help immediately. I also left something in the car and Josh contacted me immediately to let me know. I highly recommend working with Poughkeepsie Mazda!! Everyone was amazing!
First of all the car on the website was absolutely not the same car when I looked at it, especially the features, even though the Vin number was the same, secondly they took a $500 downpayment from me and forgot about it when I read the paperwork before signing, several guys forgot about it? And lastly I emailed the salesman with a question about the car after the sale and he completely ignored me that was almost 2 weeks ago still no word, I researched and found the answer myself, Im not going to say I was the nicest gentleman when I found out they were trying to steal $500 from me but I could have bought the same car from anywhere else.
We just bought our second car from Mazda of Poughkeepsie, the CX-5. We bought our other car (Mazda 3) in August, and when it was time for another new car it was the first dealership we went to. We were very happy to work with Mr. Sean Lewis again. We remembered him from our first visit as being knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly not pushy! He certainly did not disappoint us today either. He was able to again put us in a brand new car with payments that we are able to afford. I have no doubt that the next time we need a new car we will be going back to Mazda of Poughkeepsie, but being that we are driving brand new cars I think it will be awhile! Thank you so much Sean for listening to what we wanted and making it happen! Thanks for the great experiences, we love our cars!!
I had an amazing experience with this dealership. Josh had greeted me from the door coming in and from then on he was nothing but helpful. They answered all my questions as I am a first time leaser. I love my 2018 CX-5 and thank you to Josh and Mazda for putting me into my new car!
Buying a car can be so stressful. Especially dealing with dealerships. As a (very) young buyer, I walked into Mazda fully armed with my guards up, expecting a painful negotiation.Boy was I wrong! I was immediately greeted by Andrew (Remo) and the whole process was, dare I say it.. enjoyable? He was very upfront with me. No hiding the additional charges, no sugar coating anything. I knew right away what I was paying for and how much I was paying for it. Even the up charge for the color I chose. It felt less like a negotiation with a car sales person and more like a conversation. He never tried to convince me to pay for more, in fact, he was excited to save me money! We shared laughs and I was completely comfortable throughout the whole time without ever once questioning his honesty. So on behalf of me and my sassy mom who also was very impressed (and shes a tough cookie to impress) we would like to say thank you! I absolutely adore my new CX-3
I had one of the best experiences at the Mazda dealer on route nine in Poughkeepsie New York. Josh was the gentleman that I was working with he made my experience painless! Josh Helped me find a vehicle that was in my price range and That I thought I could see myself driving and feel comfortable with ! The car was delivered in more than a timely manner and the customer service is outstanding! Visit Route nine Mazda in Poughkeepsie New York for your next new vehicle and you will be happy with the results!
So I ventured into the dealership earlier today. I was interested in a used vehicle and test drive a different vehicle from the one that I originally went in to test drive. This was because another customer was test driving the vehicle I inquired about. However, after test driving another vehicle I was left standing in the parking lot of the Mazda dealership while the salesman who initially assisted me went on to tend to another customer. I was referred to Route 9 Mazda by a friend and I willNever return again!!!!! This salesman’s customer service skills could use some refining! I instead drove topoughkeepsie Nissan!!! Much better experience!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡
Our initial encounter didn’t start out so good but after much negotiations on both sides a fairytale ending has come to fruition. The GM Chad and his team made an incredible effort to fix the issues with my car. I am by no means an easy customer. Through Chad and his team’s devotion to the customer by way of love, patience and pure passion in there work I finally got a car with no issues. It is the car I wanted and I honestly love it!!!! Thanks again to Chad and his team of professionals. I will without a doubt recommend to everyone to do business with you guys!
I NEVER write reviews but these guys have irked me pretty good. Sales guy was nice enough, but they ran a hard inquiry on my credit without 1) asking or 2) receiving permission to do so. Ive tried calling during their posted hours but no-one picks up the phone. Recommend that you dont give them anything that will identify you. Itll make it tough to do a test drive but youll thank me later when you dont have to go through the bs of getting the inquiry removed from your credit reports.Quick update: I received a reply to this post; four (4) years after I made it. Nuff said.
Very inattentive and disorganized staff and management. I bought a Certified pre-owned vehicle from them last year. They booked me for a week later to complete the pre-owned inspection because the mechanic wasnt available that day. I came in and after waiting for a while for the inspection, the manager called me over and asked why I waited a week to get the inspection lol. Because thats when you made the appointment for!Cut to this year, they send me letters 3 weeks in a row claiming they will sell me a 2020 model for my 2016 model because my model year is in high demand, and they will give me rebates to make my monthly payment on my new vehicle the same as my current payment. I called and spoke with a saleswoman, who couldnt specify how exactly they were going to make my payments on a 2020 model the same as my model which I owe less than $12k on and pay less than $200/month. I asked to have someone call me back with a bit more information. Of course, no one called back.
Chad is the best . No pressure 100% customer focused approach. We also worked with Andrew who is extremely knowledgeable about all things Mazda from the aerodynamics of the seat construction to the sound proofing interior design. Honestly I enjoyed buying from Route 9 and will be back!
My wife and i came in looking for a used Mazda CX-9 for our family. After we breezed around the lot, we went in and were greeted by Stephanie in which she was very polite and knowledgeable. We weren’t pressured or given the typical car dealer attitude. We explained we weren’t quite yet ready to purchase, but when we are I’ll be sure to stop back in and deal with her personally
I bought a 2016 Mazda6 from here about a month ago. While driving the car around for about 20 days I realized issues with the back tires. I called Mazda and told them about my issue. Without questioning anything or setting up an appointment they told me to bring the car in and they would look at it. They realized what happened with the tires and without any argument or hesitation I had my car back within 2 hours, brand new tires on the back for no charge. They even shined and cleaned all 4 of my wheels and tires all around the car. I was beyond satisfied with the customer service here today and left with a smile on my face.
Mazda of Poughkeepsie gave me the best prices by far. My husband and I were both due for a new car we decided on Mazda. We contacted a total of 5 different Mazda dealers and no one else could even come close on price. We worked with Orville Burton, he was great to deal with. Not only is he knowledgeable about the autos but he is a genuinely nice person with a great attitude. Actually everyone we dealt with here was friendly and helpful. Best experience I have had getting a car.
Terrible service. So i drove almost 2hrs to see this car, drove the car it had a few dings and the bumper was scratched pretty bad. Wasnt included in the online photos. So we sit down to make the deals and what not. The fees that they charged were so high and made no sense. But whatever i really wanted the car, been looking for it for a while and was tired, so whatever. I tell the seller im going to get a money order from my bank which is down the block. I go get the money come back i see the sales man and everything. Im standing by his desk ready to pay. He completely ignores me and my friend. We sit there for almost an hour, he keeps coming and going in and out without even acknowledging us. So we just left and drove to Jersey to get another car with a wayyy better deal and much better service. I refuse to ask you to spend my money. Must be because i refused to finance and they wouldnt make any money that way. Who knows. Either way 0 stars not 1.
Listen up. Avoid this place like the plague. Ive tried on 3 occasions to give them my business on a Mazda 6. Each time pricing, particularly on a late model trade has been criminal, despite showing them in writing offers on my car from other Mazda dealers, as well as from both Honda and Toyota. Its a simple money grabIve also contacted friends in the business which did a 100 mile search for what my cars value was and what it was selling for in that distance. Both guys said, they wanna rob you. Now I dont mind a dealer making a profit, but this place is absurd. I asked how they arrived at that number, and all they said was “good luck in your search. Given the amt of cars on the lot, and sedan sales, particularly Mazda wiping up the rear by a large amt, one would think they would want your business and give a fair offer. No wonder this place has changed hands and service dept looks like its from a third world country. Avoid like the plaqueOh, and response from GM is inaccurate. I never had an “off brand” vehicle. Also, the email responses from staff was appreciated. No complaints there. Route 9 Mazdas issues are absurd trade in values, and lack of discounts on vehicles, and inventory. Considering Mazda is an “off brand” that tries to compete with no success with the likes of Honda, Toyota etc, that would explain the lack of discounts I also feel that the lack of car knowledge by staff is an issue, since they seem like they are just order takers, and just are gophers for mgt when it comes to pricing. Id rather deal with owners or gm for purchases and cut to the chase rather than the back and forth nonsense. I still would like a Mazda, however, it sure seems like this dealership is unwilling to meet a number Or even come close to offers from their competitors
We were visiting the area when my low tire pressure alarm went off. The route 9 Mazda was the closest place. We stopped and told them the issue and they immediately took my Mazda in and checked all the tires and made sure the air pressure was correct and in less than half an hour we were on our way again and no charge! Awesome.
I drive past here every day to work. I always see people shopping the lot and taking test drives. I decided to stop by last week and test drove the full size Mazda 6. I was immediately taken aback by the smooth ride, luxury feeling, comfort, quiet of the car amd the price was right. The unique red color also was really cool. Long story short I got a great deal and now I drive my new Mazda 6 past Route 9 Mazda. Thanks guys!
First time there, brought in a used 2012 Mazsa 6 that I just bought because the brakes were making noise and the engine light was on. They did a great job at identifying the issue and fixing the problem. Joe in Service was very easy to work with, knowledgeable, and professional. Good guy. I will certainly go back for service.
New ownership is much improved compared to the past. We worked with Chad the general manager, Josh sales specialist and Shelby in finance. First of all, Chad was very patient, tough negotiator, yet very respectful (hard to find people like that). In the end, we were able to come up with a deal that made us much more comfortable with our purchase of a new CX-5. Both Josh and Shelby were very helpful and accommodating. If this is any indication of how our services will be in the future, I will definitely be recommending others to choose this dealership (although Im sure our new CX-5 will likely be enough of an advertisement). Thanks for all of your help and good luck on your future upgrade of the building.
I bought my 2016 Mazda 3 from the previous owners and to be honest, my experience was terrible and I questioned my decision in following through on the sale. HOWEVER, the new ownership is outstanding as well as the new staff. Its unfortunate that the previous negative reviews about the old owners cannot be wiped off because these guys are outstanding who own it now. Highly recommend.
I just bought a Mazda 2015 CX-5 fully loaded from them a month ago. The GM Mike is very professional, no smoke and mirrors kinda guy (hard to find in the dealership industry). From the beginning Mike more than beat other dealership prices and printed out every cost right down to the taxes for me prior to purchasing the vehicle. I did my homework for 3 months on this car throughout the tristate, no one could came close to the sales staffs quick communication and prices. I also worked with Cliff on my trade in and getting a detailed crash course on the oohs and ahhs of my new car on pick up day. Again, he was just as professional, honest, and friendly as the GM Mike. Even when I decided to cancel my extended warranty after purchasing it, Mike stepped right in to reassure me it would not be a problem. If your looking for the best price in the area, without haggling for it either, then trust me this Mazda is the best place to go.
I am currently a deployed Service Member overseas. One of my vehicles back home was wrecked and I had to replace it. I went through a few different dealerships with no luck. I was even really close on leasing a Honda SUV, but the process was taking way too long, especially since I was coming out of pocket for a rental everyday that I did not close on a car deal. The Representative helping me seemed like he was only looking to sell his inventory and not find me what I was asking for. I purchased a car on Sunday from Route 9 Mazda. To say this establishment has one of the most professional and dedicated group of employees is an absolute understatement. I was emailed back very promptly after I reached out to this dealership by Stephanie Bernstein. She was an absolute saint. She helped answer all my questions when I was initially inquiring about the 2018 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring. Showed me all my leasing options (Im going to say one of the most well presented and understandable quotes Ive ever seen). I explained to her my situation and she went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I. I am thousands of miles away, yet with Stephanies willingness to help and truly caring personality I felt like I was sitting right in front of her getting this process completed. I started talking to her on Friday September 21st and my Fiance was able to pick up the car with less than an hour spent at the dealership on Sunday September 23rd. Mind you, im overseas and never stepped foot inside the dealership. I truly appreciate the Route 9 Mazda team for making this process so easy for me given the hard time we were experiencing and how far away I was. I would reccomend this dealership to anyone who is interested in purchasing a new car. They break everything down to you with no confusion, and the best part is theyre so affordable. I was able to get the top of the Line 2018 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring AWD and insurance for my car, all for the price I wouldve paid for a Honda CRV EXL lease alone (which is not their top of the line model).
I am a young man on permanent social security disability. I work a little when I can and saved up for a car, and took a loan out to cover the balance. I purchased a 2008 Honda Civic from this dealership last year 4/2/18 for $6,816.43. I paid for new strutts, brakes, snowtires etc. In less then 20 K miles that I put on the car since the purchase, the engine is ruined with a cracked block. That means the car can either go to the junkyard or I can pay 6K or more for an engine! Honda Corp was aware of this issue with civics from 2006-2009, and extended the warranty on these vehicles, sending out notices. Unfortunately, the previous owner dumped the car months before the warranty expired, it was acquired by this dealership and sold to me. We thought Hondas are reliable, and known for longevity and they usually are, but there was a defect with many of these cars from 2006-9. Im sure that someone at Mazda was aware of this issue since there are numerous forums with complaints, and all over the NHTSA. I am hard pressed to believe that Mazda doesn’t investigate trade in’s or cars they purchase. According to the law they can still sell used vehicles with major or recall issues and that is exactly what they did. I bet the owner or service manager wouldnt have sold this to their son and the previous owner was smart enough to unload it before the warranty expired! Andrew Scarperi was our salesmen who denied knowing anything about this. Maybe, but someone did! Now I am left with no car, no money to purchase a car, and still owe thousands on this car. Reprehensible. Shame on you! The issue Id is TSB 08-044. I wouldnt recommend this dealership to anyone! Buyer beware! And notice how important feedback from customers to the owner is-- Negative reviews just warrant the same AUTOMATIC response!
After going to many dealerships looking at many different type of cars I got the best service from Mazda of Poughkeepsie. The people here are very personable and answer any questions you may have. This is the only dealership in which the salesman directed statements about the car to me and not my parents and I feel I got the best car-buying experience here rather than at other dealerships in the same area. Thanks Mazda of Poughkeepsie!
Great experience, salesman was very nice and honest. Bought the car over the phone and went in to pick it up a week later. Prices 100% beat any other dealership. Only negative was the guy who tried to sell me the extra warranty was extremely pushy and not nice about why I choose not to take it. He told me he hopes if something goes wrong that the person (my dad) who told me not to take it pays for it. Otherwise Cliff was awesome and I love my CX5 GT.
This is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. They are not honest at all. They use a low price to make you to visit them and then they would not honor it. Do not waste your time with them.I wanted to purchase a Mazda from this dealership. They gave me a quote and asked me to pick up the car. Before I went there, I asked them how long it would take to put the parking sensor on the car and they told me that it would be ready when I pick up the car. I asked them if there are some coupons, promotions and rebated included in the price, which I am not eligible for and they told me no, it is the price I will get. But when I went their dealership, I was told that the parking sensor is not ready and I have to purchase the car and come back to install the parking sensor. In addition, they increased the price significantly because I am not eligible for one of the coupon in the price. As a results, I declined to purchase the car.A couple of days later, they called me and told me that the car is ready and they would like to sell the car at the original price they gave me at the beginning. I asked if their manager agreed with the price and they said yes, the manager has no problem with the price. So I paid them a second visit. No surprise, they refuse to sell the car at the price they mentioned in the phone. The reason is that their manager refuse to sell the car at that low price.Based on my experience with them, I highly suggest that customers stay away from this dealer.
Overall great experience. They gave me a great price on a cx9 lease and a great offer on my trade. Worked with Bob S and Mike W, really honest guys. No pressure, no time wasting. I stopped in and received a lease quote and trade offer in under 20 minutes. Negotiated the rest over email. I just hope that when we turn this car in, mazda has a model that works for us so we can give them more business.
My experience here was nothing but great. I had a TERRIBLE experience the day before at another dealer in Poughkeepsie, and these folks made it right, even though it had nothing to do with them. They MADE SURE I was happy. They MADE SURE they rectified the situation I had been put in by another, totally unrelated dealer, and gave me such an amazing deal on a car, that I think they may have lost money on it. Sawyer and Shelby are both amazing. I left there smiling, and feeling like I had been taken care of...like they cared about me as a customer...like they really wanted me to be happy. I can’t recommend this dealership enough if you want awesome, friendly, HONEST (which is so hard to come by) service from people who want you to be satisfied. My mother is coming back here to buy another car next week because they were so awesome to me. THANK YOU, ROUTE 9 MAZDA OF POUGHKEEPSIE.
Salesman was awesome and gave me verbal price on a used vehicle of 27k. When sitting down with sales manager the price went up to 31k. When I inquired as to why the change in price, I was told the salesmen gave the wrong price. Politely excused myself from the table and walked out.....
I had a great experience! I went in to look at a CX-5, as my Honda CRV lease was about to end. I just went in to look thinking I would go straight to Honda after. However, my salesman Jamel was so helpful, went through every feature of the car and was interactive during my test drive it made CX-5 the obvious choice. When it came time to negotiate payments, GM Chad and his assistant Casey made it easy. We even got to pet the famous pooch who was visiting that day! Will definitely send friends and family to Route 9 Mazda!!
Had a very unpleasant experience at this car dealership. Lets talk about couple good things first. The dealership is very easy to find, definitely a plus. I am a newbie buyer so to me the dealership had a very selection of inventories. Now the negatives, I caught my salesman playing poker while assisting at two separate occasions. Needless to say that salesman was very unprofessional. I traded in my vehicle for a brand new car. The entire process took me 4 trips and over 3 weeks. After I purchased the car and walked out the door with my new car keys, I went back in to ask about my old car’s plate so I can return them. My traded in vehicle was MIA same apply to my plates. Needless to say, currently situation is not looking good. I thought salesman would have taken care of that since after the all, he is making commission of this purchase. I did receive a promise that my plates will be mail that to me, but that hasn’t happen yet. Maybe if that happen, I will give this dealership one more star. Right now, one star it is.
Ive wanted a Mazda since those Zoom zoom zoom commercials of yester-year. I visited years ago but was very unhappy with the service when I walked in. Decided to give it another try, and I am soooo happy! Thank you Vinny for your knowledge and welcomeness, you made it a breeze!
As far as the service department goes currently - Id say theyre aces. Last year I had visited for a noise my car was making but unfortunately the tech could not recreate it so I ended up leaving with no fix, which I understood. Fast forward to today - I called and told them what had happened before and thankfully I was able to come in within the hour. They even let me drive with the tech to see if I could recreate it myself - and the car made the noise!! So, hopefully I will be leaving with a fixed car or at least an appointment (if they need to order the part) this time.
This review is for the Service Department only.I brought my car in for some routine maintenance and truly enjoyed the professionalism and courtesy that Kevin (Service Manager) had while I was there. He does a good job of not B.S.ing and simply telling it like it is. I felt comfortable leaving my car there for service and confident that the work would get done properly. So far I have not been able to find any problems with the work done, unlike the work done at some other Mazda dealerships Ive been to. I plan on taking the car back when it needs more attention.Pros: Kevin (Service Manager)Cons: No seating/waiting area, no refreshments.
Not recommended..On July 21st I had bought my car. I started paperwork then but had to go to the dealership multiple times asked by them to finish the paperwork. Then they had a issue transfering the insurance since they waited 5 days after the car was purchased to do so..Last sheet of paperwork was signed on the 8th of August when I finally picked my car up.. I drove the car 4 days out of the 18 days it was there. The car sat in the body shop the first week and was not scheduled yet to be fixed as stated by an employee (I was told it would go in the 22nd) Then they had to schedule an appointment the following Monday. Long story short.. As of August 12th my credit union knows nothing about the new car that was bought on July 21st. or has recieved anything on the new cat. My trade in that was dropped off on the 21st aswell has yet to be paid off by them. When asking about the issue I was told that the car was technically sold when the last paperwork was signed. Meaning August 8th but they got their money for the loan within the first week. So now everything is messed up. They also say they will call you back but dont..You get alot of uh i dont know let me find out answers..Very frustrating experience. I am still dealing with trying to have this all resolved and Im still waiting on a call back...
Sales department was truly a pleasure. Salesman Tom Simek was top notch. It took three attempts to just get a service appointment, due to lack of call backs, when a small issue arose. The service department was less than helpful, almost condescending. The service director Joe was rude and not really, for lack of a better term, giving a ####. Hiding behind NYS inspection technicalities , instead of just pleasing the customer. Pushing me off on the sales department, instead of handling it himself.

2022-06-14Just took my brand new CX-5 off the lot today. Dylan and Susan made the experience a pleasant and dare I say, enjoyable one! They took care of everything, and Dylan took the time to introduce me to my new car and all its nifty features. Dylan even kindly ordered my husband and I lunch while we completed our purchase. This is my second Mazda and my first brand new one. My husband and I will be back when its time for his new car. Thank you Rt. 9 Mazda for one of the greatest car shopping experiences!

2022-03-27I highly recommend this dealership! Not only did they have plenty of inventory when other dealers didn’t, but their customer service is great, friendly & personable. I had Vinny as my car salesman and I would recommend him to anyone! I chose the car I wanted after mine got totaled and he was so understanding when there were insurance lags & issues. He held it for me no problem until everything was sorted out. I felt really cared for and respected here, especially as a young woman. Thank you!!

2022-06-30I had such an amazing experience here at the Route 9 Mazda! Tom S was soo helpful and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what I was looking for. He asked all the questions to find what car would suit my needs. Being a college student and commenting back and forth from campus I needed a bigger car that would last me longer (gas wise). Talking over the phone with him was so pleasant. He is a hard working individual! Thank you to Tom S for the best car shopping experience I I’ve ever had! This was my second car from him and it was not a disappointment at all! Definitely will be going back to him for my next car!

2022-06-15I want to recommend salesman Jim Green at Route 9 Mazda for exemplary service during my car purchase there yesterday. He was so helpful showing this technology challenged person how to navigate all the bells and whistles in my new Mazda CX 30. He took the extra time to get my phone paired and to set up my remote start app. Neither of these were necessary for me to drive off the lot but it was so nice to have it completed. Jay from Finance was also super nice and patient completing all the necessary paperwork (and there was a lot). We have been shopping around dealerships and most do not even have any 2022 cars to test drive or purchase. Route 9 Mazda did and I am very glad to have shopped there.

2022-01-29One of the best experiences Ive ever had with a car dealership. The salesman Dillon was very new but extremely capable, and very reliable. Especially with all the chip shortages and subsequent car shortages. The rest of the people at the dealerships that we dealt with were also great to work with. My daughter and I left with her new car happy and excited. And compared to the 3 other new car dealerships we had looked for her new car, which where shady and when we left feeling the need for a shower. I Knew that mazda of Poughkeepsie will be my go to for vehicles and services for the foreseeable future. I found a great car for my wife in the process too. I will recommend this place to everyone.

2022-06-14Jim and all the staff at Mazda on route 9 were all so kind. Jim was easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable of the cars he showed me. I walked out the same day with a car that I am loving. Highly recommend this place.

2022-06-10I can truthfully say that I have never had a poor experience at Route 9 Mazda. I have recently leased my third Mazda through them, always with the help of Andrew Nandlal. He is a phenomenal salesman and answers all of my questions, whether I’m in the store or through a phone call. Though the entire staff at Route 9 Mazda is great, Andrew in particular is an incredible communicator and A+ in customer service! Regardless of the other competitors, I will be apart of the Route 9 Mazda family for life!
