We Just Moved Out This Way And Tried Here 3 Different Times. Pizza Was Good The 1st Time And Everything Else We Got Was Too. The 2nd & 3rd Time...Not So Good. 1/3 Not Good. Was Forced To Order From Here Recently Because Everything Was Closed. Big Mistake! Done With This Place!The Inside Of The Store Is Real Nice But The People That Answer The Phone Are Not Very Customer Friendly. The Times I Called It Was Like The Guy Didnt Want To Be On The Phone. Very Rude. Id Say 2/5.
Good pizza. We like the thick crust round, it a good combination of NY and Chicago style.
Ruggieros catered our Daughters graduation party and we could not have been more pleased. The price of the food was reasonable and it arrived on time. It was hot and fresh and the staff were very friendly. The Ziti, Sausage and Peppers, Meatballs, Alfredo with Chicken, Italian Chicken, Roasted Potatoes, and Tossed Salad were delicious and we received numerous compliments! We will definitely use them again! Thank you, Ruggieros, for helping to make the party a success!
Worst pizza and wings we have ever got from this placewings are under cooked pizzas were over cooked and burnt
How disappointed and dissatisfied. We had been loyal customers of this establishment for many years. Tonight ended that. 10 wings for $20 and no carrots or blue cheese. Shame on you Ruggieros. You are not the only pizza place in Guilderland. We will not be back.
For about 25 years, weve been huge fans of Ruggieros. They never disappoint. Their food is always fresh and delicious. We are huge salad fans and I can say without a doubt, Ruggieros Antipasto with their vinegar and oil salad dressing is by far the best salad you can get in the Capital District! With that said, everything and anything on the menu that we have ordered in all these years has been excellent.
We have taken food out several times now. The portion is very generous and the price is reasonable. This has become our go to place. If they could put up some umbrellas over the tables in the yard, that’d be perfect.
No one ever answers the phone, and online ordering isnt available.I guess they dont want any business.
I just ordered 24 wings via the mealeo app, asked them for 1/2 and 1/2 flavors to please both of my kids. So insted of being hospitable, I get a call from someone who snarks we dont do that in a rude tone. Totally turned me off, especially when they robbing $5 just for delivery from you. The Food is always good, but dont like the way they operate. There are better restaurants who try to take care of their customers around the capital region. :(
This was our go to place for years; after we moved, we returned several times, but the food was going downhill. This past order was awful. Fried mushrooms were rubbery, coating wet. Turkey in sandwich tasted like refrigerator, and mayo yellow. Soup was so salty you couldnt eat it, mild wings were so spicy we couldnt eat them either. Antipasto lettuce and sandwich lettuce had dirt. Cakes were hard and tasted old. My only recommendation is to avoid this place. By the way, husband and I also observed kitchen cook without mask. What a waste of nearly $50
My mother orders food from here they used to be good but WOW some of the employees are so so mean and rude it’s crazy how they treat a senior citizen woman. I really hope this business becomes kind and nice like it used to be.

I would give 5 stars being their food is great however, their staff is not so great...for this I can only give 3 stars. They are rude on the phone and rude in person. Its as if youre giving them money is an annoyance. Its typically young women working up front and being they are young and getting a paycheck, during covid, youd think they would be happy. Its not just them though, its pretty much everyone working there. All of the negatives can easily be ignored so dont let it stop you from visiting, the food is great.
Have been coming in for years. However today made me question the sanitation practices. I observed a young man who working in the kitchen run his fingers thur his hair and then continued to make a pizza. No hand washing no gloves. His hand went thur his hair then grab a handful of cheese and spread it on a pizza. While standing in front of another worker. And bye the way no hair net. Ill wont go back.
Food is always great, but the people on the phone that take the order are kinda rude and rush me. I ask for a side of sauce with every delivery but have never received one. Today I didnt even have a chance to say my name or where I was located in the back of my apt. I called after lunch time and before dinner time in hopes to not call during a rush hour. Call in for the delivery is so much faster with the restaurant than using Mealeo. I got my food within 40 mins from my phone call. Over all good experience. Thank you.
Notoriously rude owners and staff. Every time. Everyone I know says the same. Why are you guys so rude to your neighbors? Also noticed a trend of this in your reviews. Do better Ruggieros.
Nice place, food is usually good. A bit pricier than other places but they offer a whole lot more than the pizza take out options
We ordered pizza and wings for pick up.Wings requested were garlic and parm, extra crispy. Wings were incredibly crispy. Easily among the most crispy wings we have ever had. Moisture of internal meat was amazing.Tons of garlic and parm, adding to overall enjoyment. Easily among the best wings we have ever had. You cannot go wrong ordering garlic parm wings, extra crispy.Pizza, as always, was fantastic.
Been going here for years! Everything is great & they are one of the few places that I have found that carries my favorite soda, RC Cola. The Chicken Wing Chowder (when they have it) is absolutely to die for!!!
Ive had takeout on 2 occasions and dined inside the restaurant on one occasion. I have ordered a meatball sub, which was very good. I have had their chicken blt salad on two occasions and it was also very good. Most recently, I had their chicken and rice soup which was excellent. There wasnt too much rice (which is a good thing) and plenty of chicken. It was flavorful and spiced well.The counter service may be quick and dry, but they are efficient and polite.When Im in the area, I will visit again.
Sandwiches are good, everything else isn’t. Salty soups, soggy pizza and the thanksgiving catering is a joke. Everything arrives from the restaurant cold and attempting to reheat anything draws out any bit of flavour that was there to begin with. Save the thanksgiving spirit and skip the catering, make the food yourself and save the money.

Love this place - don’t listen to yelp, or unsubstantiated two sentence bad reviews. They’ve been open since I was a kid, I’m 29 now- that says something. They’re always busy around lunch and dinner- definitely doing something right. Hands down best subs in NY, they make their bread fresh daily and it’s that real good Italian bread that’s soft but a little tough too. I love their penne ala vodka too. Never had anything bad here actually. We love ordering from here.

Great food and pizza. The customer friendliness could use some help. They never say Thank you when answering the the phone or good bye for that matter. Or ever say thank you when you pay. Im not looking for a conversatIon but, not one word is spoken except for your total.

With Covid affecting our world I will not be going back here. They have signs on how masks are required yet once inside I observed the following:Person making pizza has mask down under their chin.Several young people wearing mask under their noseA girl pulling her mask down then playing with her phoneA young guy with gloves on checking phone then going back to prepping food with same gloves on.Several people constantly touching their mask.Not one washed hands or used sanitizer.I work in health care and sorry but this violated ever rule.Your sign asks people to wear masks to protect your workers, it goes both ways.

Food is just ok. Noticed that they are a bit pricey compared to other Pizza places. Also found them to be stand offish Im sorry that my ordering food inconveniences you. The manger? Can be very rude. I had hopes for this place
Had a fine mixed sub and it was really good. Classic grinder. For a one time stop, I was satisfied. I muat go there again because the setup seems to be just what the doctor ordered. Plenty of staff, and attentive counter people.
Great place. Good food. Pizza is good. The service is really good but for some reason they give off a annoyed vibe at any special request. I dont know I might just be over analyzing. Anyways definitely would recommend.
We stopped in here for a quick meal. They did a really good job with pasta and meat sauce. My friend loved the lasagna. If Im this way again, would definitely stop in.
If you want even a half decent slice of pizza this is not the place for you. Soggy, sloppy, heavy with grease. Today, for the 4th time in a row, they made a simple sandwich wrong. If you say no cheese, you get cheese. If you ask for cheese, you dont get it. Four times in four weeks! I tried to stick it out because the bread is good ... But not wrapped around a bunch of stuff I didnt order. I guess they really just dont pay attention to what their customers want ... Consistently. BYE BYE!!!!
Good pizza, overpriced wings, can be inconsistent from visit to visit. They have a pretty well-worked-out curbside pickup protocol.
They take a different take on Buffalo chicken pizza that is very refreshing. The inside is clean and the staff is very friendly. It definitely has a family feel to it which is nice.
This place is great as the go to Friday take-out Italian. Friday is now Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and occasionally Wed, Thursday and Saturday. The place is spotless. They take clearly take great pride in having a kitchen that is wide open from the cash register. Very well run establishment.
Delicious food, great for any occasion
The pizza was ok, but the service behind the counter is very rude. They make you fell that you are a burden to them when you walk up to the counter. When I pick up my food and give my credit card for payment the unfriendly woman gets upset at me because my credit card was worn out and she had to enter it manually instead of swiping it. She explains to me because my card is worn out it, the merchant fee to process my payment is higher to her business, then if I had a card that would have been able to swipe, again they make you feel like a burden to them . I will not return to this place, plenty of other places to get pizza in Guilderland.
Very convient place for folks living in the Guilderland Area. Pizza is highly recommended for delivery, subs are absolutely phenomenal. Staff is very nice, friendly and respectful unlike Reddys Deli where the owner is a complete jerk. Selections for food is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend coming there for food. I have a very nice friend who works there and goes to my school and is very respectful to customers.
Sad thing is I really wanted to like this place. The vibe from the staff seemed VERY stand offish- like ordering food is a bother not very friendly, I ordered a chicken parm sub which wasnt too appealing, wasnt cut down the middle and was loaded and I mean loaded with parmasian cheese which is usually on the side at most places. The soda selection was rc cola and other knock off brands that do not taste good. The total cost was expensive for what I ordered on top of this. Unfortunately I will not be going back.

This is my go to place for take out. I’ve gotten pizza, cold subs, and paninis. Every time was great. Their ranch dressing is so good, I get it on the side of everything.
$16 and change for a eggplant sub & chocolate milk ... plus folks arent friendly ... maybe RUGGIERO means ROYALTY in Italy, if it did, the food is NOT FIT FOR KINGS, just average.

Have been going to this restaurant for years and it always amazes me how rude the one employee is who might be the owner. I keep going back because I think the food is actually pretty good. I feel like my order is inconveniencing him. Good food but very unfriendly service.

I odered a chicken parm sub. It was terrible. I ended up throwing it out. in the past the food was much better. I will never order from them again.
Charged me a credit card minimum on my debit card. Food is mediocre at best, will use other pizza shops that are a little farther away with better food and dont require a minimum regardless of my amount.

As I literally was paying for two slices of pizza with the manager she at the same time tells the other employees to throw out all the OLD pizza slices that they are getting all fresh ones..One either wait until your customers leave to know you are selling them old pizza or two offer them fresh pizza with a little wait time...customer service at its best 🤣

2022-04-21This used to be my favorite restaurant. I would look forward to going every year for my birthday dinner. Lately the food has been so cheap and honestly not good at all. They COMPLETELY changed their boneless wings. They used to be actual pieces of chicken and now they’re weird nugget balls containing little to absolutely NO meat!! They use a new Buffalo sauce too. Not impressed. I don’t know if they got lazy or are being cheap with the economy but in my opinion you don’t compromise on food quality because you will lose customers.

2022-05-15The quality has gone down and there is no consistency. One time the order is perfect and the next is terrible. The last order was all wrong and they redid our order and delivered it. Tonight was slim pickings and the meat was dry. I think I’m done with hoping it will improve. Side note: why is it the guy up front always acts like he’s doing me a favor? I’m keeping you in business, be courteous.

2022-06-25I hate to say it it used to be my favorite pizza place I used to talk so highly of it but lately theyve gone completely downhill. maybe the new cooks should stop drinking on the job smg. the broccoli Pizza used to have tons of broccoli on it and it used to be chopped up nice and fine and it was delicious and lately you get a broccoli Pizza it might have one head of broccoli broken into like five chunks throughout the whole pizza. the pizza has gone in the garbage the last few times Ive gotten it without finishing it truly sad.

2022-04-15The food is great, Ill give them this. But, three times now I got takeout and when I get home its not what I ordered. First time was the wrong sub, second time was the wrong soup, and third time I was missing an item. So frustrating especially when you ask before you leave if everything is correct.. sigh. And when you call they do offer to make it right, but you have to drive all the way back. Just beware and check your order before you leave.

2022-05-27Had a gathering so I decided to give this place a shot. We got a 24 cheese and large boneless wings, nothing special. The 24 is two 12s, wasnt bad but Id place them middle of the pack or bottom half fir in the capital district. The boneless wings on the other hand were terrible and they are identical to Tyson anytizers which are gross. They are definitely bottom tier for boneless wings. I wouldnt recommend this place.

2022-05-05The guy that works the front with no hair left always looks miserable and acts like he’s saving the world and too busy to greet you but will look at you a handful of times. Then the better dressed boss will come over greet you then mumble stuff about you to miserable man because baldy.Pizzas mediocre.

2021-12-11Amazing gluten free pizza, but they are the rudest people. Every time we call to order they are so annoyed. How can you operate your business and treat customers so horrible? Based on the other reviews, we are not the only ones who feel this way. Maybe you should take note. Will go elsewhere.

2021-08-28Loved loved loved this places garlic knots! My fiance Chris loved working here one if his favorite jobs he has ever had! Good atmosphere...Alex, his mama, Bobby, Kevin and Mike were always awesome to be around when my fiance was finishing up work... If your lucky u might catch bobby singing in the back to a sauce laddle! This place get a 5 star for the food and the work environment! We miss this place wish yall delivered out to Albany near saint Peter area!

2021-05-08Ive been here a few times, but I was not too impressed with their school cafeteria food, sold as expensive dining. It was very expensive for what you actually get. The people who run the place act if they are doing you a favor by giving you the basic essentials, nothing more. When you are in business to serve the public, they deserve fresh ingredients, made that day. Unfortunately, the food tasted like week old stuff, heated up in the microwave. Totally unacceptable. The pizza was not even made well. I suspect that the slices were sitting around for quite some time. There are certainly better Italian options available than Ruggieros.
