I love this store - it has everything that tractor supply and bass pro have in one place
Like the store overall; but the Ladies night was lacking...few vendors, staff seemed less than excited, hard to find assistance when needed....kick it up another notch or two...entertainment...happy, greeting staff, products..if not available...staff should know how to handle substitutions rainchecks, salesI do thank you for trying..but each year seems Ladies night is fading....

You know normally I love runnings but the current employees got me to walk out. Ask a question about powder by the firearms section older gentlemen was great immediately asked the younger one behind the desk. They proceeded to walk away mid answer not to get them or double check stock but to pet a customers dog. Go to cool down get some pet food and have a group of young employees having inappropriate conversations. Led me to say screw it walk out and head to tractor supply. On the way out the initial employee is by the entrance again with another customers dog ignoring someone attempting to ask a question.
Always love adventuring around the store! They seem to have everything a country girl or city girl or like myself a mix of both could want or need! After Menards in central Illinois, and The Christmas tree shop in central PA, this is my favorite store!

Great store! This is as close to the modern general store that you can find in Central New York. High quality clothes for hunting, fishing, and work. Cool section where you can find a wide variety of old timey candies and sodas. This is essentially a combination of a hardware store, farm supply store, and an outdoor sports store. Check it out!

Couldnt find a pair of boots to save my life. Its not the store, its my darn feet.
Not happy. Bought a pair of Sketchers steel-toed shoes on 10/20/20. Very comfortable, just not durable long-term. The left shoes sole is literally peeling away, & they are NOT waterproof like was claimed. I realize its outside the return window, but not that long. The manager told me it was 90 days from purchase date, 25 days ago. He told me that the store couldnt help me, & my only recourse was to go to the manufacturer. I will do that, but I hoped the store would be more willing to work with me. Even if they just took a few dollars off, I wouldve been more ok with it. Unfortunate...

We visited for the first time and the store was amazing. It was Mothers Day weekend so my kids planted flowers in cute cups. Store was clean and organized. The gun counter employee was super helpful and didnt talk down to me because I was a female looking at pistols (usually the case at other stores). The store is not near where I normally shop but I will definitely go out of my way to shop there again!!
Very nice store with a huge selection of goods, from tools, boots and clothing, hunting and fishing to farm needs such as fence supplies to animal feed, camping gear and the list goes on. A must stop store, even just to look it over!
Great store! You can usually find almost anything you want or need in this store, from socks and underwear to chainsaws and lawn mowers, nice sporting goods department too, great pet and farm feed as well. Brent, Jamie, Dan and Crystal are excellent and theyre very knowledgeable too! If they dont know they will get an answer for you and in a reasonable amount of time as well! The rest of the staff are very good as well, the prices are competitive too and I recommend for anyone to shop here and check it out!
Well rounded store to get most all of your needs and wants
Very disappointed in how they operate. Ive had a few returns and learned the hard way that you have to have the receipt. Most stores these days can swipe the payment card and find purchases that way. Not Runnings.Many stores also offer discounts for items under certain circumstances. Not Runnings. They dont even try to call the manager to even ask. Theyd rather return it.I havent had much luck there so theres no need to go back. Their competition enjoys making sales (apparently more than they do).Oh well.
Tons of different products to shop for here like Yeti, car things, grill items, hunting, household, Shore Lunch brand soup you name it. Just don’t buy the giant bag of pop corn. It was horrible! Everything else is great though. The employees are also very friendly and helpful.
I wish we had a Runnings where I live in South Florida.Its like a combination of a sporting goods store with a home improvement store, with a touch of a Walmart/Target for good measure. Just an incredible selection of everything from hunting/fishing to clothing, tools, and toys. Prices are really good, too and are in line or better than many other local shops. This location is always well organized, clean, and stocked.Its actually dangerous for the wallet, as I can find things to buy that I didnt intend to when I walked in.Employees always seem more than willing to help and Ive always had good shopping experiences here.
The main isle is a bit cramped but otherwise fine prices are going up on a lot of things tho
This store has a little something for everyone. You have to becareful about sale prices but they know their business and good folks that work hard to take care of your needs. There is one section that I spent at least 30 minutes in because it brought back some fun memories of my youth. Okay,maybe because I am a BIG fan of every type of sweets!
I love this store. They have a lot of good stuff in there. From DeWalt tools, to plumbing/heating supplies, farm/garden supplies along with a nice handgun and long gun selection. The people are always helpful and nice. They always offer assistance when I need it. Most importantly, their prices are quite competitive. Cant say enough about them.

When this store first opened we were very impressed. Lots of items, neat things. The last two trips were not only not good , they were very bad. About a month ago we went, items thrown all about, low stock. We get to the cashier and the cashier and other associate was playing on her phone. As my husband and I sat for ten minutes behind the associate patiently, they made no eye contact, didnt even acknowledge we were there. So we left. We went last week to look at snow blowers, couldnt find associates anywhere, had to beg for help, the associate acted as if we were bothering him. Never mind runnings, we will never be back. sc
Great place to go for all your outdoor activities and equipment. They also carry chocolate candy here as well as other holiday items. The staff is helpful and friendly. The public restrooms are clean. A great store for the outdoorsman and those who enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, especially camping and hunting/fishing. I would highly recommend this store. $$$
Cant speak for other sections, but their paint department is now on a level with a convenience store; limited stock, no custom ordering/mixing, a poor version of what it once was. Disappointing.
Called today twice was sent to wrong depts 2 times then both times waited 15 mins to try to talk to farm dept to order parts for machine i bought there was very disapponted so i called machine company direct 7mins later part is on way !!!! Runnings phone service leaves alot of to be desired.
Dont expect anyone to help you find what your looking for and the worst part is theres more employees in the store then customers. Good store just dont go to Rome one.
Runnings worked hard to get a sprayer for me. They kept me informed about their efforts. They did ultimately find the sprayer in another store and had it sent to Rome. Their price was better than any other farm supply place without having to pay any shipping fees.
This place is a big hardware store on steroids. If you cant get what you want here you most likely will not be able to get it anywhere.Staff was great and helpful.
Great sale on DeWalt tools thats why I stopped was not disappointed.
I attempted to shop the Rome running but found a line at the checkout that was at least ten customers deep! There were six unoccupied workers near the check out but no one was available to assist! ! I see that customer service has fallen by the wayside since the COVID epidemic and or stimulus has been around! So sad !ps . I left my $120 purchase at the front counter

Gotta call it a five! What an amazing store. Neat, expansive, well stocked with a selection that blew me away. I visited the store for products related to the shooting sports and was surprised, not only to find the very things I was looking for, but products I never expected to see. I found one product that I have always purchased online, not knowing it was available from a nearby brick and mortar location.I need to return to this store and devote more time to discover what else may be around that I missed on my initial trip.

Great store just wish it was closer its about 1 hour and 20 minutes from my location. Watertown could benefit from a place like this. If they dont have it you probably dont need it. Only improve I think they need is to have a few more people on the floor, assistance can be hard to find at times.
The Runnings store in Rome NY is consistently a disappointment. The clothing departments are messy, poorly stocked, and there are rarely any staff in the area to assist with questions. The staff at the registers lack courtesy, and are frequently more concerned with talking with other cashiers than interacting with customers.
Great shopping! Reminds me of Fleet Farm chain out in the Midwest.

Asked sales clerk the reason in price for shoe inserts. She looked irritated. However she took the time to read about each and told me . She didnt need to show me her displeasure. If she doesnt like working for people, she should find a job that were she can be a solitary woman.

I needed to exchange a pair of jeans that ripped (only wore them a few times) Instead of giving me an even exchange they only credited me $15.99(a sale price) and rang the new pair up at $24.99(reg price). I questioned it but the cashier said that it was store policy if the customer didn’t have a receipt. If this is their policy that’s fine. My policy is to not do business with companies like that. That will be the last time I’ll ever set foot in a Runnings and that’s a shame because I like the store/products
What can you say about Runnings? Its a fun store that has a little bit of everything. It is definitely targeted for farmers, hunters, outdoor sportsmen, etc.... but while I infrequently visit the store, I always find something fun to buy!
Loved it. 1st time there, Im sure Ill be there again. Great selections, wonderful prices. Wished I went sooner. I felt like tractor supply and Walmart had a baby its name is Runnings.
I come here for the DeWalt tools. Its a quite impressive display. Get your timing right and you can get some good deals. Otherwise this store has literally everything. A true one stop shop.
I find this store to be a little unusual, this is however a good thing. Its a cross between a sporting goods, tractor supply, hardware and general store. There is a huge selection of things to shop for and now that Herb Philipsons is gone this store is a beacon for sportsman. I would find it challenging to enter this store and not buy anything.

I called this store at 9:54am because i was hoping to get my dog into the groomer over at this location. All the other groomers around me were not open. The women that answered the phone was very nice and took my info down so the groomer could call me back that she was busy at that moment with a dog in the tub! Here it is 4:15 and i have not received a return call back. She could have called and said that were busy can’t get you in but i was left hanging all day.
Runnings has everything you could need in life. Tools,clothing,camping,pets farm supplies evan fireplace supplies garden supplies. And hunting supplies as well. One of the best equipped stores around and their prices are low as well!!

Love running! Like TSC and Lowes on steroids. But my favorite thing is the old fashioned products. Like their jerky/snack sticks and mustards. As well as candies!
Nice selection if you can find it. hardware bins empty or items in the wrong places, bolts and loose hardware no bags, no pens, no way to ID for cashiers. First time weve ever had this problem at this location, hope they get it together.

Nice store that carries a wide selection. They have animal/farm care, hobby items, farm toys, hunting and fishing, cooking, cleaning, heating, tools and much more. What stands out is they have many items you will not see in every other store.
Runnings staff were super helpful!!! With my sons 2 million questions and then when he apparently left our car door WIDE OPEN... They searched the cameras to be sure no one had gone in or near our car... Of course conveniently my purse was on the back seat... But my wallet was NOT in the purse nor was it on me... But once I got home and searched... I found it buried under clean folded clothes and a blanket the dogs unfolded... THANK YOU RUNNINGS STAFF FOR CALMING MY NERVES
This is a very large store and took approximately one hour to navigate, although I wasn’t looking for anything in particular. I wasn’t greeted by any staff during my visit and not sure if I will ever go back. I would like to purchase some cold weather gear this year however I believe the markup price in this store exceeds the average for the community. This store certainly has a lot of selection.

Brought in snowblower to get tuned up for this winter. Got a new carburetor, new spark plug, new primer button & an oil change.
I don’t know where anyone sees their staff as helpful or friendly. Spent an hour in the store waiting for a propane tank full just to be ignored by over a dozen half whit “employees.” Places like this are why companies are dropping like flies.

Disrespectful and judgemental employees... If you are sitting in your car waiting for your fellow passengers to get what they need from inside, beware of the assholes employees/cartpushers cause theyre going to try to get you for looking suspicious and then they will proceed to follow/stalk your passengers throughout the entire store under the assumption that they are theives, because you look sketchy reading your cars owners manual trying to set the God damn clock...fuck that place!!! 0 stars honestly!!!
Great store! Its like the Walmart of local farm and home stores but obviously better than Walmart haha. They have everything you could possibly need or want! Farm supplies IN STOCK, pet supplies, clothes, toys, household including pluming, fixtures and decor, and outdoor recreation. Definitely worth a visit if you havent been!!

Did not carry basic Carhartt items that are in smaller stores. Needed another size of a childs clothing items. They could not tell me if they had it at another store or if I could have it shipped. Got to the customer service counter and they were checking everyone out there rather than opening up one of the many other cashier counters. Very frustrating!
Empty shelves when I wanted to buy deer hunting equipment. They no longer carry two other items I wanted to buy and selection of insulated rubber boots diminished to the most expensive brand and even then there were none in my size.

Nice store but they should give a veterans discount every day but they only do on veterans day. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

This store is always neat and clean and merchandise very well. Staff are generally very helpful although sometimes hard to find later at night toward closing.
The staff is rude... they cant even transfer me to the groomers to make an appointment on phone unless I actually go to the store and this is like the second time this has happened.. I call back explaining why Im not being transferred and I get a different person on the phone every time and they hang up.. so they just lost a customer.
I like shopping at Runnings. They have a wide selection of what they sell. By that I mean that Runnings is a large old time general store. Lots of hardware, clothing, hunting and fishing, and some oddities you generally wont find. Stock is well displayed. Did I forget lawn and garden and pet supplies?
Always an item mispriced. Constantly out of horse grains. Sent chainsaw in for repair and took them 5 workdays to just order the part. Why even bother when there are so many options in the area.

Runnings is everything that a farmer could dream off. Its like a Walmart but with everything you could ever need for the ranch. Staff is helpful here and supply is through the roof. Clothing, guns, animal feed, home improvement you name it. We love coming here.

Runnings is our favorite store for animal supplies. We also love going through the candy section to find some of our favorite vintage candies. Today we purchased chicken food and a variety bag of taffies that includes Tootsie rolls, Bit-O-Honey and more.
I use the horse bedding pellets for my cats litter pan, no dust. I found them here. And the only place I have ever found a womans flannel shirt w sherpa lining that is warm

Received flyer in my mail today, 9/15/2017. Showed on front page a 6 watt LED light switch @ $ 2.99 with the ebate - $2.00 final cost $.99. So off I go, buy it, go home, pull up their website. Click on ebates, and select 6 watt LED. Up pops the only valid 8/ 5/ 17 thru 8/25/17. How wrong is that? They obviously prey upon us that we will just not be bothered with it all for such peanuts. So this the store we NEED in our community? We already have everything they have in other more honorable stores. Runnings is so lame. Let go all their help after they opened. No one there has a clue. Go to ACE, much better help.
Bought my first pistol from runnings, Emily was quite knowledgable regarding pretty much everything to do with the gun. I went in wanting a glock, she suggested a smith and wesson as a carry weapon. I liked the feel of the M&P shield .40, so I bought that one.

The DeWalt guy was standing there changing prices and he stopped and I found a mistake he had made that was $100 difference on the item. I told an associate and he just remove the sticker and said it was a misprint and thats why the DeWalt guy was there
I love Runnings. Their prices arent always the best but they have such a big variety of things and store is so big your bound to find what youre looking for.
The hardware section in the middle of the Rome store is awesome. Even a good selection of nylon screws! This is the place to go for small hardware.
I know its New Years Say but not enough peoole working today. Also put up signs that Customer Service does returns so you dont stand in line waiting to be told to go to Costomer Service.
So disappointed, I drove 45 min just because they have the Mathews Halon bow in stock. I get there and the girl behind the counter did not have a lot of experience. (Expected) when i asked if i could shoot before i buy she said yes. 1st the draw length was long. I asked if she or someone could reduce for me. She told me no because its a $1200 bow. OK. so then I asked if i could see the allen wrench on the desk so I could raise the weight just a little to feel it at my draw weight. she said NO its a $1200 bow. ok here we go again. I asked for a manager. told her I was going to purchase the bow however I wanted to feel it at my weight can I have the allen wrench to adjust. she said NO its like a $1200 bow and I would have to come back in 3 days when a pro might be there. Finally I asked if I give you my credit card to hold can I do it I am not purchasing unless I feel it under heavier draw weight. SHE SAID NO. I left drove another 45 min to AJS Archery. Not only did i shoot the bow at my draw weight. I purchased the bow, sight, release, stabilizer, ect. why did I waste my time at runnings first.
Think hardware store on the grand scale. Can handle commercial, farm and home needs. Also hunting. Not geared for lumber, siding, or shingles. More about the mechanical aspect of a home, farm or property.

Store was a mess, empty shelves and isles. Not one person asked if we needed help! Left and will not be back as this was my second poor experience there and it requires a special trip.

Stopped in to buy snacks! Blueberry yogurt pretzles. I can only find them at Runnings. I also shopped for a compressed air system for my shop. Decent price, and ill probably buy it there.

They have a little bit of everything. From hardware, to yard machines, sporting goods, clothing, home decor, rare candies. Just about everything but appliances.

Very very disappointed. Plants in gardening area needed watering but salesperson was wandering around doing nothing. Merchandise did not have pricing pn it. No salespeople around to help out.

2017-12-22I feel like the abandoned mall meme that is going around on the internet would fit this place perfectly caw caw.This place feels like a ghost town even during the holiday season. Nothing really stands out for me here....I like the clothes...but thats about it. Just a typical dad wants to spend his paycheck store to me caw caw.

2021-11-22Huge store, with a variety of outdoor, farm, work, hunting, canning and food preserving items. Very clean bathrooms, the lady cleaning in there should get a medal, she was friendly and left it meticulous. There was a thin 20 year old something man with glasses in the guns and optic department who was also very helpful and friendly, he was working Sunday morning. Shout out to him for helping my husband and I pick out our binoculars.

2022-05-31Great place for feed to clothing and specialty food. Currently they are in the process of relocating everything inside the store. It was difficult to find prices as things are being relocated across the whole spectrum. Looking like they want to feature the clothing as you enter the store. That said nothing is where it used to be and even the greenhouse and attached garden center was closed. It does Currently have plants outside in the parking lot and a makeshift greenhouse. Everything in the garden center was 25% off so that was a bonus and they have a great selection left as of now 5/30/21 Apologies greet you at the door as you enter and I would definitely ask for what you are looking for because you may never find it until they finish the redesign. There are overhead signs indicating departments but not everything has been done. Good luck and it is still a great store with an endless inventory of things and still some very good values for the money
