I sold my 2021camper back to Albany Rv. I signed the title over on June 1st of this year 2022Got a 10 day pay off dropped the camper off on June 1st and gave them out.$3,000 plus difference to pay off the loan. Its been 24 days and they have not yet paid off the loan. I keeping getting the run around and different answers every time I call or to top it nobody returns my calls. Its not fair or acceptable how they treat people. I would never work with these people again. Also still trying to get an answer on my warranty cancelation.
Worst RV dealer on east cost. Its all good until you sign the paper work... once they make the sale the customer service is virtually non existent. If you have a problem, need service or help with an issue... good luck.Purchased a 2022 Jayco Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS the beginning of January. Got it home and the Entertaiment center/pantry door is literally ripping off the wall and taking the wall down with it. Well, since I picked it up we have tried tirelessly to get this thing fixed and service has slow walked it and we keep getting pushed back. Its completely unusable until we get this addressed. Its approved to be fixed by Jayco but as of today its still not fixed and they keep rescheduling and now we are pushed out until end of April. So much for camping in April, I guess we will just keep canceling our plans until Albany RV gets their act together. Never Again!
While I do not have personal experience with this dealership, I do with Mr. Mark Strollo. I purchased a camper from Mid state RV, in Byron Georgia, which Mr. Strollos family purchased. I had a few issues with the sale, etc. and he personally resolved every single issue. I am so impressed by his kindness and generosity. Thank you Mr. Strollo!!
Not all details are on the posting for the camper. Went for a couple of campers that were posted on the site. Nothing in the description or pictures mentioned soft spots in the floor, awnings ripped off, outer plastic material ripped off and plywood exposed to outside, and other issues. Then when looking at other campers since I was already there, you cant easily find prices of any camper. Not an enjoyable experience and not a upfront and honest company.
We had a pleasant experience purchasing our trailer at Albany RV. Everything went smoothly with the exception of one minor issue during final examination which I was promised would be resolved quickly. I have been waiting 2 months. Multiple attempt at reaching out to both sales and service have come up empty. To me how you support your customer after the sale is more important than the sale itself and Albany failed in this area. This trailer went straight from the dealer to storage pre-witerized. I pray there will be no issues this spring as I know I am on my own.
Actually I give it 10 stars. Just bought a 2020 Entegra Emblem. Mark and his Team bent over backwards to earn my business and earn my business they did, 100 percent. From beginning to end of sale. Mark strollo made it the best sales experience ever. I was taken back by Mark and his Super Star Team. I was not treated just as or like a Customer BUT it was like being part of the RV ONE Family. They just about held my hand guiding me every step of the way. It was truly amazing and painless. The Finance department Fabulous, with Molly explaining each paper in detail of which I had to sign. Including all Warranties Etc... also explaining what I need and do not need for my new home. The Show Room impeccably clean and organized with non- pressure sales team. The outside lot of new units also organized and clean with all units opened doors for you to see, touch, sit relax in.An inside store with qualified sales people under Josh to help with all your needs. The shop clean organized with techs under Steve and Charles that can handle almost any situation for your units problems if any.You will never find or meet anyone that does not greet you with a smile. All in all Excellent, Fabulous, Comfortable, Honest, Sincere and most of all, Caring. This makes a house a HOME. A valued Customer for life. You will not be disappointed.THANK YOU ALBANY RV and THE RV ONE COMPANY.Steven K.
Very friendly atmosphere. They have a huge selection of many types of campers. There are lots of sales associates available but I never felt pressured they gave us a good amount of space to look and ask questions if needed. We worked with Tyler who was very friendly and helpful in the whole process.
Amazing customer service. We worked with Tyler who was very helpful not pushy or over bearing. My sister ended up forgetting her glasses in one of the 20 or so trailers we walked into and they found them a few days later and called us! So nice. They have a fun play place for kids and the coffee was great! My parents have been looking for a specific floor plan and they had it in stock. We got a very fair price and a fair triad in value. Over all very happy customers!
We went to purchase an RV. We were welcomed immediately. We told them what we needed in weight limit and what we have seen and liked. The salesman Jeff nailed it on the first go. Loved the Keystone Aurora, had everything we needed and more than we expected to be able to get. The finance guy John was also great and quick. The staff were all very personable and treated you like a family. You even get 10% off at the retail store. Nice building, clean restrooms, play area for the kids. We enjoy the experience and a good priced RV! They even had free food truck for their customers! We would recommend this shop if your looking for an RV. We will be back here for our RV needs.
A true disappointment. I had reviewed this dealer very highly during the sales process. However, after the sale it has been a disaster and a true shame. I have reached out to the dealer and the corporate office and nothing. It’s been a year and the problems I had when I took delivery are still not resolved. This was my first experience buying any kind of RV and it will be my last. Not having the support from a good dealer network when I’m on the road is not something I want when I’m RV’ing with my family.
If I could give zero stars I would. We bought our first camper in may of 2020. First trip we took things fell apart in the camper. We had to bring it back a number of times for the same issue because the service department couldn’t fix it right the first time. We have brought it back for a total of six times so far. Being from MA I had to take multiple days off of work to bring it in. In November 2020 after the season ended, we brought it in with a list of repairs. They had our camper for a total of 7 months. Not only did they not fix all the problems with it, they didn’t even order the parts needed and did additional damage to my camper while it was in their possession. So come spring it was STILL not completed. They are not accommodating and do not care about customer service. All they care about is a sale then they want nothing to do with you. Robin from the service dept has been very helpful but Charles (one of the service reps) I’d never have him touch my camper again. He lied to us multiple times, not ordering necessary parts and kept telling us it was almost done. Josh is a sales manager who quite literally encouraged us to go to the BBB, not caring at all about anything we have endured and only tried to get yet another sale from us out of it. We have a seasonal this year in MA and they claimed we have to bring the camper into them for the outstanding repairs and they will not come to us. However last weekend I saw Albany RV repairing a camper on site at our very campground. They without a doubt have taken us as a joke. Don’t believe all the BS you read on their website about being a family and here to please being their number 1 goal for you to leave feeling satisfied. We will never go to Albany RV again and have reported them to the better business bureaus. I hope everyone that reads this really thinks twice before considering them for your next camper. Go small business. You may pay a little more for your camper, but you will have someone dedicated to service you. These big companies think of their consumers as nothing more than a sale.
We purchased a Rockwood travel trailer and road side assistance in September of 2021 we were on the road and our awning would not come in so we called road side assistance and paid out of pocket RV one was sent the money in December to send it to us from Forrest river 29 unanswered phone calls to TJ Nick and Jennifer its6 months later and they still have our money when we got to Florida we needed more warranty work done and their store in Florida refused to work on it because they dont sell Rockwood again out of pocket
My wife and I have purchased 2 camping trailers from Albany RV in 3 years. Great quality, great prices. We prefer Jayco units and they have lots of them. Very good buying experiences with Kate first and then Tom. Mike, one of the managers, is a great guy too. We ordered our 2nd one and it was built to our specs. We couldnt be happier with it.
I walked in around 5 pm the receptionist asked how she could help me I said can I see Larry Ashley told her I was a friend of his sister Sarrah and he sent me to a excellent salesman who listened to my needs and exactly what I was looking for luckily they had the perfect 2021 camper to siut my needs then the finance guy John took him about 5 minutes to get me approved the rest is history I literally picked up my camper and took it straight to my camp site then a week later I recievd a phone call from my salesman asking how I liked my camper and did I need anything or did I have any questions Awsome people to deal with for sure
I originally purchased a new Jayco travel trailer in 2017 and had an absolute flawless experience with Tyler B. As my salesperson. This year we decide to upgrade to a larger 5th wheel so I reached out to Tyler again. He again was completely professional and accomidating when we were trying to decide what we wanted. After several calls to Tyler and many visits to look at different models we decided to buy a 2021 Dutchmen Yukon. We had to order the exact one we wanted to after a small deposit in November it was ordered with expected delivery in March/April. When March arrived I tried calling Tyler to check the status only to find out that he no longer works there. I immediately got concerned since I was promised a few extra things to sweeten the deal. I ended up getting in contact with Mark Strolo who assured me everything would be taken care of as promised. Mark put me in touch with Mike Stramiello who would hand the sale and Mr Strolo would oversee everything to make sure all went smoothly. Mike and Mark bother we’re in contact with me frequently with status updates and it was delivered in early April. We did an initial inspection and found a few small things that needed to be rectified but nothing major from the factory. A week later we went for our demo. The demo went smooth we found a few more little things that were immediately rectified before we took possession of it. We finished some final paperwork with Mike S and John Sbardella who handled the finance end of the purchase. Before we left Mark Strollo came out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and told me to contact him with any issues that may arise. Between Mike Stramiello, John Sbardella, Mark Strollo the purchase went flawless. And I can’t leave out Don in who works in the camp store who got me the accessories I needed. I will do business with Albany RV again.
Great Customer ServiceI purchased my MH at Albany RV several years prior. The purchase experience was very pleasant, no pressure. I had to return with a propane issue which they quickly resolved. Further down the road I have ordered parts from them. Each time they were personable and efficient.
We had an absolutely amazing expierence with Albany RV Sales Department! Our salesman, Tyler, went above and beyond to make sure we got into the RV that fit our needs. He never once pressured us and answered every single question, text and phone call quickly. And believe me, I drove him crazy with questions for 2 straight weeks prior to finally making the purchase! He was SO patient with us! He made sure we made the right decision! Even after having our beautiful Jayco Travel Trailer now for almost a month, is still answering my questions via text and has even called us to check in to see how we are and if all is well! I can not be more grateful to Tyler and would highly recommend you ask for him if you’re in the market for a new or used camper! Call ahead and make an appt for him. He is THE BEST!!!!!! You won’t regret using him as your salesman & purchasing from Albany RV.Everyone in sales there was also very welcoming and Ben, our finance guy, was great too! I have yet to need their service dept and hopefully won’t need them but I have no doubt that if we need service, the service dept will be great. And I’m sure Tyler would be more then happy to help if we needed him with any issues.Thank you for everything Tyler & Albany RV for helping us make memories! Love Rich & Jen Chapman & Family
Actually I give it 10 stars. Just bought a 2020 Entegra Emblem. 36T in November 2019. Mark and his Team bent over backwards to earn my business and earn my business they did, 100 percent. From The beginning to end of the sale. Mark Strollo made it the best sales experience ever. I was taken back by Mark and his Team. I was not treated like a Customer It was like being part of the RV ONE Family. Thanks Again .👍.
We LOVED working with the team at Albany RV! Connor Griffin was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive to all our questions. He was patient with our decision-making process and provided advice that made choosing our camper much easier. Connor also stayed in close contact with us while we waited for delivery of our new camper and even worked on getting it to us earlier than expected. Bruce gave us our demo - he could not be more patient or knowledgeable about the workings of our new Airstream. Hannah in the finance department made everything simple, and her bubbly personality just made our day! We would recommend RVONe - Albany RV to anyone looking to purchase any type of camper. Thank you Connor and Team!
We bought a brand new travel trainer. Have had nothing but problems. The service department is less than desirable. Harry never returns calls. Still waiting on answers from a month ago. Took the camper out this weekend and the stove does not work. We were under the impression that all of the items were check to ensure they worked prior to pick up. Well that is wrong to. Would not recommend RV One to my worst enemy.
Bought a Jayco 2021 Terrain December 17th 2021. Jonathan Razai, in sales was instrumental in my purchase since I was hoping to buy a Winnebago Revel. Brenna helped me secure a great loan package and provided good information about the extended warranty package. Bruce did a great job showing me how to winterize and de-winterize the RV as well has the controls and instruments for the Mercedes base vehicle.I drove the RV back to Ithaca NY. The next day (Saturday) was very rainy. I found a water leak drivers side rear near the flair or on the roof in the same area. I placed a tarp over the roof which kept more rain from entering. The battery system was not charging. I was unsure if it was caused by the water or because the temperature was below freezing.I called Jonathan who placed a service call in the system for me and I followed up with an email to service. Ted called me Monday morning and scheduled me for the following Wednesday at 9am, Christmas week. I arrived at 9 and was greeted by Ted and Joe. Both were very concerned and said they were going to do their best to finish the repairs that day and send me home with the RV.Joe found areas where he suspected water was coming in on the flair seal. He recommended a sealant that was clear and they had used with other RVs I requested that the sealant also be applied to the roof where the rack was attached. The battery system was charging now that the temperature was above 40 degrees. The repairs were completed and I was on my way by 3pm.I want all to know that Joe and Ted displayed a very professional and concerned attitude and were doing their best to solve and repair my issues. Well done guys and thank you!!
My husband and I are really excited to have delivery of our new RV:)I would really like to acknowledge Tyler. He was so professional and knowledgeable as he did our demo. I wanted to make sure he was recognized for his high standards and quality service. We know he went the extra mile!
I purchased my used 2016 Thor Palazzo from RV One and they made the whole experience smooth and pain free. Now that the deal is done, it seems to be a whole different story. Service after the sale seems to be a crumbling concept across the board with RV dealers. This is my 3rd RV and they were all the same. Once they get the deal signed they are done with you. I wish I would have bought from a private seller so I could have avoided the dreaded service after the sale. Unfortunately, its all I will remember from the experience is what happened after they got my money. My advice to anyone in the market for an RV is, by from a private seller!
Well first time buyer of my Keystone Hideout went over to look at it and sign paperwork in 2019. We went over to a storage lot where they keep them and found the it was vandalized and items were stolen but they replaced him and made it all good. Now I’m having issues with multiple problems like the furnace quit just before COVID-19 hit and they were supposed to come out to my house and repair it or replace it under warranty. They canceled the appointment due to The state shutting down but after re-opening I called to get it back on the schedule to get repaired and I’ve had the runaround the whole entire time. Also had to add other items such as my toilet leaking and my tip out seal Tore off I need to be fixed all items were under warranty but with the service department advised. Then told me that if I dropped it off for repairs and did not take it with me once the repairs were done or if they couldn’t get to it for a few days prior to doing the repairs that I would be charged a $35 per day storage fee. Now I have emailed the service department once again after contacting who said they were the service manager and she would get A service writer in contact with me to get this scheduled. That was three weeks ago now I have emailed them Sunday and I have not yet received any contact from their service department. So if you plan on purchasing a RV camper anything from this company and would like your camper or whatever serviced find someone else or even go to another place to buy your camper.
Buying our camper was an easy experience. Most of the employees were very cordial. Kudos to the tech who gave our demo, he was awesome even though we had to wait a half hour after our appointment time, he was worth it. Also thank you to the tech who helped with our lights today and kept his cool as we were kind of losing ours. And a big thank you to Mark, who was kind and supportive, ifmitnweren’t for him we probably would have lost it. That being said, we weren’t impressed by the initial contact with the service person who basically brought us to our camper, didn’t know how to get the door unlocked and basically made excuses as to why. And they didn’t even stay to make sure we got hooked up and going on our way. Perhaps no one does that there? And it would have been nice to have received a correspondence that our camper was ready except for detailing instead of having to email to find out. Our salesperson was nice but perhaps needs some training as they didn’t seem to know the answers to anything. And to the service tech who referred to us as screamers (which we were not) if you were my employee you would have been fired in a minute. You had no idea what we had been through and the patience we had before picking it up. Not all customers are rude and demanding, we were not, we just wanted what we had paid $$$$$ for.
I bought a used class A RV from RV one and I will do it again . The RV I bought from them went through all of their shops and they treated me with the utmost respect. The RV that I bought from them has been a problem free RV as RV one sold it to me that way. Truly this place is awesome and anybody who has had a bad experience with this place would have a bad experience with any place for lack of communication.. I communicated with these guys and these guys did everything I wanted them to do. Again I will buy another RV from this place. When you go there ask for Tyler . He is a salesman and he is very respectful and very nice and will treat you the way you wanna be treated.
My mother in law bought a jayco travel trailer here one year ago. She has been having quite a few issues and she is elderly and not tech savvy. She called for help with her issues and was treated horribly. They were rude to her and told her to go online and fill out a form. She told them she didn’t know how to do this they told her “well that’s the only way to get an appointment “ they were rude and very un helpful!!! I am appalled by how she was treated and was looking into upgrading my own camper but will definitely not be shopping here.
Seems like sales experience is highly dependent on who your sales rep is. Our Rep - James - has been completely unresponsive any time we call. Over a year ago we ordered a new Airstream trailer. No fault of theirs that delays occured in the production, but never got staus calls, and when I called for status ( roughly every 3 months), i had to make several calls, left messages, and never got a return call until I emailed sales dept, or pleaded with another rep to service the call. Finally it appears the trailer is off line meaning it is in Ohio awaiting delivery. I called and eventually got James to acknowledge the trailer appears to be off line. Said hed get back to me with VIN. That was a month ago - no word. Now I try to ask status and once again - cant get any answers. Not sure how to determine when your sales rep is one of their good ones, but am surprised they tolerate the poor service provided by our rep.
Visited Albany RV on Labor Day, we were met at the door by Mike who seemed very pleasant. He let us know that all the sales associates were busy but we could look around and someone would help us. So we took a walk to where the 5th wheels were and began looking around. After about an hour and half of looking by ourselves we went back to the office. Met with Mike again who had to find a sales person for us. We sat down with Jeffery. Seemed ok, but not very personable. Low balled us on our trade and didnt make us feel warm and fuzzy. As we prepared to leave, Jeffery was then able to match what we wanted for our trade. We then put down our deposit for the new camper with a few items that had to be worked out. We then met with Noel to do paper work. They were going to do a soft pull and get back to us the following day. We wanted 3 slide toppers included in our purchase. The following day came and we got a call from Noel who was pleasant and went over the numbers. We explained again that we wanted the 3 toppers included. She said she would reach out to Jeffery. He called and basically said there was nothing he could do. Here it was Tuesday afternoon and they wanted us to sign that evening. We werent comfortable with that. So we did some research, we were able to find our camper for cheaper and have the 3 toppers included. Ended up to be a $2000.00 savings. Driving back from the dealer ship on Saturday I realized I had a message from Noel from Albany RV, asking when we would be able to sign. I called back and left her a message, there was no deal because we werent happy with Jeffery and his lack of interest in helping us out. I then got a call from Mike, wanting to include all 5 toppers to seal the deal. We only wanted 3 done. All of a sudden they could do all 5, a value of over $3000.00. I told him we were no longer interested. If they could have offered this, why not from the beginning. On top of this, we found out we were lied to regarding the soft pull and the approving bank. Very disappointed in this experience and I would not refer anyone to come here. we are very happy we continued our search. Good luck.
Turned out to be a great experience. Had a few little issue which thankfully were an easy fix. Have to thank Hannah for helping us thru the purchase. She was wonderfully. Zak gave us the demo he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made it an great experience. Victoria in the store was very helpful. She had answers for all our questions on what we needed to purchase. Shawn was great in the service area. Helped my husband with questions we had before we hit the road home. It was a pleasure.
Planned on purchasing a camper. Placed a deposit and was guaranteed that if I changed my mind the refund would be returned. Well, I changed my mind 2 days later when the financing wasn’t what I wanted. Financing options were pretty pathetic. Told them 2 days later, no thank you. Well, it’s 2 weeks later and no refund . My husband called a couple times and was told it should be in there any minute… but it’s not . I would not recommend.
Our buying experience from Albany RV has been nothing but top shelf on ALL counts. Our sales guy (now sales manager) Jake Kalil is an absolute low-key type with a wealth of knowledge and who went way above and beyond through the whole sales process. Also have to give props to finance person Hannah Walter who was diligent and put in a lot of time getting us a great rate after the first quotes that came in were disappointing. And the sale price was an absolute killer, significantly less than any other dealer could touch and that was after months of shopping literally every dealer in the nation that had our desired coach in stock.Clearly there are those who report a less-than-satisfying service-after-sale experience. But weve had immediate response (i.e. return phone call within 24 hours) on the several small issues that required assistance after the sale. Quick resolution and even a call back from both Jake (who as a sales guy was going the extra mile to check in) AND from RVOnes Regional Vice President of Customer Service to make sure our issues were addressed. Your mileage may vary but for us we couldnt be any happier.
We recently picked up our 2014 Rockwood Roo from Albany RV. We were introduced to ‘Sarge’ who gave us our demo. He had the heat on and the radio playing! Sarge went through everything on the trailer with us, explaining the operations and giving us several tips on camping. He made sure all was in working order before he turned it over to us.All of our communications and dealings with Albany RV have been great. No high pressure sales at any point. They made sure the trailer was in top shape before we purchased it. All the folks we dealt with made us feel comfortable, the sales gal Casey, the finance guy John, the VP Mark, the fellows in the store and parts department, and the guy in the shop that let me borrow his electric drill and a wrench (didn’t catch his name but he has an awesome tool box!)I know we will be going back to these folks for more of their great RV service. They are a class act!Jim and Judy
Thank you Connor Gifford for making our recent purchase of a 2019 new Rockwood travel trailer such a positive experience. Not only was it a pleasure dealing with you , you went out of your way to help us custom order the unit; and also made sure it arrived in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated as we already had camping reservations. Furthermore you and Albany Rv by far have exhibited the utmost professionalism we have encountered .This being our 5th unit. Thanks for a job well done.
The service team was incredible. We worked with Jennifer to set up a flat tow installation on our Suburban. She was great! The follow up was seamless and communication flawless. We like easy and Albany RV makes it easy. From sales to service we have had great experiences. Thank you to the entire team for making our first RV purchase so smooth!
They have know problem selling you a camper but sure the heck dont wanna fix it called and called left messages never call you back I ended up paying and fixing it myself poorest service department Ive ever seen they need to be fired get someone in there that gets back to the customer whos helping pay there salary.we were warned by numerous people not to buy from them but gave them a chance, and very sorry I did will never recommend them to anyone. There not worth one star . if you got good service be happy alot of us didnt.
Zero starsBuy else where their customer service is the worst . I have left three messages and submitted two on line forms to replace a portable light that isnt working on a 2021 camper ( never got a call or email returned ). After a visit over there I was told I need to bring in my camper which is seasonal. All I wanted was to exchange for a working one . Hoping a manager sees this to realize just how bad your customer service is .Steve Buff
Had made arrangements to pick up my camper two weeks in advance. When I showed up no one could find the camper. After waiting for an hour the camper did arrive. It was kept at a separate lot. Was not moved to their store lot because the sales person did not make arrangements for such. Did have to speak with the store manager. Found him extremely unhelpful. To be quite honest somewhat rude. In my opinion customer service should be guided by making the customer happy no matter how bad the situation. There was absolutely no effort to do that on the part of the store manager.Communication between my sales person and myself as well as between sales and Service is abysmal at best.
Don’t go to this place! We went only to look at 5th wheels as we are in the beginning stages of deciding what would be the best for us. We were approached by a salesman named Josh. We told him we were there to look at different models, plans and price points. He immediately said you have to see this one particular model. Couldn’t tell you what it was because the second we approached the 5th wheel he started trying to sell it to us. Not asking questions or budget etc. just aggressively telling us how great this product was. When we expressed to him that he was being too pushy he got very mad and said fine, look around, I’ll be inside if you want my card. We looked over the model carefully, taking notes about things he didn’t want to answer. We looked around at a few other models and decided this wasn’t the place for us. As we were leaving he came outside to us and said we should call the owners of the 5th wheel company so the could tell us how good they are. We thanked him for his time, said have a good day and kept walking. That’s when we got verbally abusive! He said we thought we were better than him, he was a great salesman and his google reviews were amazing. He literally kept saying crazy stuff as we walked away. I have never experienced a salesperson like that in my life! I can’t believe he came after us all because we said he was initially too pushy. He just lost a sale of $95,000. As I write this I’m still trying to wrap my head around what happened. My partner and I both work in service oriented businesses. We would be fired on the spot if we ever spoke to customers like he did. We wish we had recorded this mans tirade. We will never go there again and will be advising everyone we know to stay far away. Most surreal experience we’ve ever had with a salesman. Zero stars.
I had a good experience at Albany RV. The salesman was very helpful when it came to going through the travel trailer with me. They came to a fair agreement for the price, and there finance department found me a bankthat had competitive rate. The service department did a good walk through on the day of delivery. I am very happy with my new rockwood mini lite 2511s.
Ivonna is a wonderful sales person, she is caring and considerate and takes time for her customers. I never once called and did not get an answer. We cannot express how wonderful this experience has been. Brenna in the finance department is equally as awesome, kept us informed the entire time and was always very helpful. We will eventually - and I say eventually because for now we are set but we will purchase another unit and I would not purchase from anyone other than Ivonna.Thank you Albany RV and thank you Ivonna, Brenna, Larry, Jeanny, and anyone else who helped us. Much appreciated.
I purchased a new 2018 Jayco 27.5 rlts 5th wheel from RVOne Albany NY in May of 2018. We had many issues with the camper the first year and a half. But, after talking with one of the owners, Mark, the service department has been very helpful in resolving the issues. My wife and I were recently returning from a trip to Saratoga NY and we lost a wheel assembly on the camper. I was in need of some parts so I could get the camper home. I went to the dealership and talked with Nick and Jennifer in the service department. They didnt have the parts there, but Nick made some calls to the local supply house and found what I needed. RVOne did not build the camper but are tasked with having to deal with the sometimes poor quality of the manufacturer work. I want to thank their service department and the owner, Mark for doing whats right. If I was going to purchase a new camper I would deal with them again.
Pretty good sales experience but horrible service. Been trying to get my 2020 Jayco in for warranty work since January. Multiple emails and calls, nothing. Finally fixed a few items myself but others I just don’t want to take the belly apart to fix the leaking black and gray tank values. Purchased 2 campers here that had no issues, but now having issues on this 2020 Eagle and impossible to get any warranty work done.
Albany RV has one problem......communication. There is a serious lack of it. From the sales people to the customer, the receptionist, to the person who schedules walk throughs, to the technicians.I wont go into details (I get angry if I talk about it). I will just say we purchased our RV on 12/23/29 and just picked it up today. 2/8/2021We brought our concerns to Mark (one of the owners). He seemed genuinely sorry for our ordeal and made sure we were satisfied before we left. Bob, our service tech was also extremely helpful and did a great job on our walk through. They are the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of one.I think they need re-training on dealing with customer service and would hope our concerns were taken seriously today by all we came in contact with. Not sure if I would ever recommend them to friends or family.
Harry our service advisor was fantastic. It was our first stop back since we purchased it December. Most warranty items we have to go back. We got there at 9 and left at 3. Added battery, winterized, repaired door, diagnosed steps faulty lights, shower enclosure coming unglued. Now they need Jayco to approve the work ? Harry was great gave us a car to go have lunch. Not sure what I expected.
The rudest customer service in their service department. They pretend to listen to your issue then just forward you to some random person. We had a propane leak, which is an emergency, and they refused to help us. Wouldnt even let us bring our RV in to get looked at. They say they have exceptional customer service, which is true, its exceptionally BAD!
Purchasing and aggressive pricing was not a problem! Financing happens in a flash and our sales person was very responsive. Here comes the problems we have had the RV seven months a park model and we love it along where we parked it. Right after we purchased it, in less than 24 hours, we cancelled several warranties and treatments. We are still trying to get our money back. We have driven up there 2 times just over 2 hrs each way and get lip service! They do not return calls and if you are lucky they may answer your call by mistake as far as we are concerned! Our paperwork took 3 months get. So in June they did refund part of the money directly to the bank which is fine although we had to find that info out ourselves. Still waiting for and additional $2790 due us. Filed a complaint with BBB and no response. I emailed their customer service VP twice and no response. I am still trying to get our money refunded for the services we did not take(Hanna). Service manager started to become more responsive after I called Jayco customer service with our complaints, eg light cover lost in delivery to us that was March, the microwave stopped working in June, the table has a crack, and the led light strip in the awning stopped working. Well on October 9, a service man is supposed to arrive with the light cover, microwave, replacement table to take care of the issues as well as diagnosed what is wrong with the LED strip. Our camp closed on Oct 15. Of course they were also refusing to send out service since we were 16 miles beyond their limit, beware only 100 or 2 hours in their service area. Just sharing the good and bad.
So intitial experience was good and our salesman Theo was great. Most of our issues stemmed from post sales and service. So when I left with the new rv, I had no registration paperwork. It took almost a month and a half to receive my registration paperwork, and I have to go to the dmv myself to do it. My rv is currently unregistered since the 30 day temp expired. In addition, service told me they were going to clean the rv and do a few other things, which were never done. When you walk in the store, alot of the salesman are just hanging around by the front, so it feels kind of like a used car place. Finally, when you call to speak with someone, you mostly get an option to leave a message, and good luck getting a call back. The only reason I purchased with them is because they were the only ones within 200 miles who had a class c that I wanted. *UPDATE*, when I went to get registered, the dmv said that they had incorrectly filled out forms and no bill of sale....so I had to send paperwork back to Albany rv and am currently waiting. It has now been a month and half and I still cant drive my RV. 😡
Service leaves a lot to be desired. Offered to drop my camper with them for service. They said they cannot have units left and an appointment would be needed to get work done. Had an appointment at 11 and after hours of waiting and checking they finally got it in. Wasted an entire day for a 1 hour repair. Have purchased three RVs here and between the last purchase and this service trip tell me it is time to start giving another dealership my business .
We looked for almost a year for the right toy hauler. I actually started going to Albany RV every month or to check their used trailers. One day Jonathon was in the lot. We told him what we were looking for. The next weekend we had decided that if we didnt find one that fit our needs we were just going to plan B. Sop after another Sat of running all over NY looking we get a call from Jonathon. Said he just took on in on trade and thought it would fit our needs. The next day we had the trailer we wanted at the price we wanted to pay. Week later had an excellent orientation. The next week we were on the road and had a trouble free cross country trip. Would do business here again and would ask for Jonathon.
Nice little camping store. Service appointments are being scheduled weeks out. Our second service to continue resolving multiple issues with ultra low miles 2019 Thor motorhome purchased here in April and used once is currently ongoing for a week and counting. Next to find a Ford dealer to work on chassis issue since no chassis or mechanical work is done by RVone.
Purchased a Class A diesel from Albany and the team at Albany treated us well. John was excellent on the financial side and Nick followed up from the service side and made sure we returned home safely. We live six hours away and our salesperson, Josh, made sure that the transition was smooth. Josh called us and provided the latest status as the RV was being prepared for pick-up. If you are in need of a RV, head to Albany and ask for Josh.......he will get the ball rolling!
We are first time rv owners. This has been the worst experience. We picked up the RV over a week ago. During our tour of the RV we were specifically advised that the fridge unit was a propane unit. Then after paying for the camper we did our tour of the camper. Again the technician who assisted us again confirmed The camper has a propane fridge unit and went through the process of showing how to convert the unit from electric to the propane setting. ( this was the feature my husband was specifically interested in.). Come to find out it is not propane at all. And the fridge drained the battery so low we could not even turn on the lights. When we returned home. I called the service department. To schedule a service ( the camper was less than a week old at this point) because my husband plugged in the unit and the converter started to smoke. The service department kept sending me to a voice mail. With not telling me the person I needed to speak to was not in on the weekend. After a weekend of trying to get ahold of someone (to no avail) I decided to wait until Monday. .... still no call back. Tuesday..... still no phone call back. I then called them at the end of the day on Tuesday. I called again and finally spoke to someone. She told me they could not look at it until 3 weeks away. ( again the camper is less than a week old). I also left messages for 3 separate “managers”. I finally spoke to mike the service manager who told me he could not help but that I needed to speak to “TJ” the store manager. But Not before he suggested that I could trade my new camper in (at a loss of course). It is now Friday..... and still no return call from “TJ”. The General manager. i have just left him another message. The customer service is terrible. I would give them a zero stars but 1 is the worst it will allow.
Buyer Beware! In July I gave a $1000 deposit on a 21’ airstream that was scheduled to be delivered in October. This was not a special order and I was assured that if we changed our minds, it would be refunded in full. A week later, I notified our sales representative that we did want to cancel our commitment and he emailed me back saying our refund would be dealt with promptly. I was able to get a hold of the sales manager two weeks later when there was no check in the mail and he told me it could take up to 3 weeks. Long story short, after multiple phone calls to Larry the sales manager with no return calls, I asked my bank to get involved. Thanks to the efforts of Ulster Savings Bank and MasterCard, the money was refunded to me today, on October 28th....4 months later and under duress!
This was probably one of the worst sales experiences I have ever had. I put a $250 deposit down on a camper almost a month ago. When I found that I could get that same camper at another dealership for about $3000 less we decided not to buy our camper here. I made about five phone calls speaking to different people trying to get my salesman to call me back, or anybody call me back in order to get my deposit back. I finally got a hold of someone today who told me I should have it back hopefully in the next few days. I made about five phone calls speaking to different people trying to get my salesman to call me back, or anybody call me back in order to get my deposit back. I finally got a hold of someone today who told me I should have it back hopefully in the next few days. This was after the receptionist hung up on me three times and I finally had to say please do not put me on hold because it keeps on hanging up, and she was incredibly rude. I am a relatively easy person to deal with, and I’m always thankful for good service, but this was by far the opposite of good service.
We purchased a Jayco Pinnacle at RVOne Albany last fall and with covid we were not able to pickup the cemper till this spring. We had an appointment on a Thursday at 10 am to do the walk through. They called us the Monday prior to appointment to confirm. My wife called the day before again to confirm. Yep all set. We arrived at 10am. No camper ready. In fact the camper was still in storage and had not been worked on. We were then told it would be an hour to get it ready. At 11am we went to the front desk and asked again and were told another 1/2 hour. No one ever once asked if we needed anything. Finally at 12 we asked again and were told still working on it. Finally went and grabbed lunch for my wife and I. Not once did we ever get any communication from the manager. At 1 pm they finally admitted they had forgotten about us and they were now ready for us. Barely an apology from the manager and just blew me off when I tried to speak with him. The walk through was a joke with the person spending 15 minutes going through the tv channel and what was his favorite channel. We asked about a water jug in the main storage compartment up front. We were told it was for an additional water source for drinking. Turns out this was the water source for the ice maker. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. It took 3 hours for someone to finally come clean about forgetting about us and during that 3 hours eveyone tiptoed around use and ignored us. We will never purchase another camper at this store.
My wife and I just purchased a new Class A Entegra Vision XL from RV One. I must say that the entire experience from our first visit with Ivonna and Brenna to our demo/orientation with Shawn could not have gone smoother. Our salesperson, Ivonna, was wonderful to work with, she showed us the available units, answering all our questions, and listening to our concerns. We never felt any pressure and not once did we receive those annoying calls from anyone at the dealership. Additionally, Brenna could not have been more accommodating when it came to the financing details. She worked to get us the best interest rate and was not pushy when it came to the extras and add-ons. She was well versed in the process and pointed out what would be best for us as new Class A owners. She kept us informed in every step of the process and guided us to what she thought was best for our situation. We could not have been happier with the delivery process; Shawn spent a great deal of time going over the unit. He was very informative and did not rush through any aspect of the RV. He took all the time necessary to make sure we understood the operation of the unit, answered all our questions and it seemed like he took a sincere interest in making sure we understood the more technical areas of the RV. Overall we had a wonderful experience and the people mentioned in this review were a pleasure to deal with. Based on our buying experience we would definitely recommend RV One.
I recently purchased a used RV and cant say enough good things about the experience. Starting with our salesperson Tyler Baron who never forgot my interest and reached out to me whenever a trade in was available. He was very professional and easy to work with. Not at all pushy but very honest and knowledgeable. Secondly, Molly was very helpful with regards to getting me a great loan rate. Also very easy to work with. Jennifer in the parts department has also been great in taking care of a small issue concerning an access door. Finally, Bob the tech who handled my instructional walk through, was a real pro who helped me understand the various components of my RV.Joe & June Urschel
I supposedly purchased a camper on 8/22/2020. They got my money. And they have my camper. They did not do the 2 repairs I requested prior to scheduling a pickup in September. I arrive in September to find both issues not resolved and the roof was totally rotted out on a brand new popup camper. No-one is answering any of my calls or emails to either refund or deliver my camper. In October I was told they would deliver until they learned I recently moved on Military Orders (which I told them back in September and requested a refund since I never signed for the camper). Now they have my money, they have my camper, and they are refusing all communication. Be advised they also refuse to respond to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General does not assist with tent campers. Here it is 5 months later and no communication at all for a second camper I wanted to take a trip in September. So, I will have to drive up from Virginia and go into their parking lot and embarrass them. Yes - you know who I am because you are ignoring me. This is how they treat not only Military but all people. Take your money and middle finger you. Also - be warned - if you ever do purchase anything from them - do NOT sign anything until AFTER your walk through. I still do not have a complete walk through.I have been emailing Matt Mincher, Larry A, Jennifer Graham with various dates between 8/24/2020 and 1/12/2021. I have also spoke to a Meghan maybe? Not one of these employees have responded or called me back as promised.edited on 1/29/2021. Approximately 3 hours after my first review I mysterious got a call requesting my address for delivery. When they found out I had actually moved back to NY, you could image the tone in the voice. The camper was not locked. The camper is missing the wheel that belongs on the bottom of the jack (it was there when I purchased it and I never took it off the lot). The door was not repaired as requested. I do believe the roof was repaired, unsure if it was replaced as promised - I cannot determine until it is warmer than 30 degrees where I can open it up. The camper was closed pinching the canvas on 3 of the 4 sides - likely to need replacement. The camper apparently had been stored outside and has been soaking in a snow pile for an undetermined amount of time. The camper is completely filthy (this might have been from the drive, I cannot determine). The camper is missing 3 of the 4 closure locks (just the loop/catch portion). The awning bag is torn (could have been pre-existing as I never had a full walkthrough nor signed for the camper). The company to deliver was absolutely awesome! Of course, that company was not Albany RV. He offered to deliver the camper next day, however I wasnt available on that short of notice and I received the camper today. He was absolutely timely to the minute and communicated in advance. I will not provide that companys information as Albany RV is the one I am reviewing and it is negative by all means. Its a shame they refused communication. A bad review over the lack of all communication is terrible. They have a great store inside their facility with items I have never seen before and would have liked to have made some purchases there, but the staff in all departments does not make it a good experience.I purchased a 8 box popup camper, a Rockwood 1640ESP. It was exactly what I was looking for as my quick camper (I have a larger one that takes more time). I knew exactly what I wanted prior to my purchase. Read all the bad reviews and figured what could go wrong with what you want and be out the door? Well - I found out. Now I need to find an alternate dealer to do further warranty repairs before I can even use it (where 5 months have already past).
Buyer Beware Service after the sale has been non existent since our purchase. Purchased a brand new motor home the end of September. The following day found a couple of issues. I called the sales rep. I was told to email the service department and that someone would get in touch with me. I emailed and also called and left a voice mail. Took 4-5 days to get a call back just to be told that the soonest that they could look at it was the middle of December or spring of next year. The person on the phone had complete attitude. One of the major issue is an upgraded toiled that they installed during prep is leaking. Terrible service. Spoke to Harry in service a few days later and on the phone sounded like I was really going to get some help. He was just blowing smoke, No one called me the following morning as he promised. I waited two days to call back just to get sent to voice mail. Every time I call the service dept or try and contact upper management I get sent to VM with no return calls. This will not be my last motor home but it will be the last I purchase from this dealer.I financed through there bank. It has been almost a month and have Not gotten any support on my issues. I will be refinancing through my local bank so there kick back is reduced or eliminated.
One of the best experiences Ive had buying anything. Walked in knowing what I wanted. Walked out in less then 2 hours. Stop in and ask for Christina Hoch she helped make the process so easy. She listened to what we were looking for in a camper, and gave us a few models to look at. The only thing I had to do was wait for the Camper to be delivered to Upstate, NY.
Absolutely terrible. They were fast to take our money for the sale and the demo was awful. We were there for 6 hours, wires not even hooked up, broken doors, stove top and many other things wrong. Was not cleaned or detailed. Not a pleasant experience on a new motor home after giving them 3 weeks to get it ready for pick up. I’m not one to complain, but something so expensive should be perfect. Very disappointing.
I purchased my current 5th wheel from Albany RV in June of 2019. Since then, we have had several very enjoyable outings in our new RV. Recently I was getting ready for another long weekend camping and decided to test the bedroom emergency window. When pushing the window up to escape out the window, the window detached from the RV entirely. Fortunately we were able to prevent the window from falling to the ground so it was undamaged. We were unable to figure out how to reinstall the window and were leaving for our trip in 3 days. So first thing Monday morning, I contacted Charles at Albany RVs service department. Charles was very responsive and, despite being busy with end of summer service work, was able to squeeze me in for a service visit the day of my departure. Charles and his technician worked diligently to get the window installed and we were able to depart for our trip on time and had a great camping weekend. Thanks very much for the fine work Charles.
We have been Jayco fans for many years owned a Jayco 2002 Granite Ridge for many years and would always check out the new one at all the RVone trade shows through the years. It seems we would always end up talking to Mark Strollo (the owner). He was always so friendly and made us feel like one of the family. Remembering us and the unit we owned. So when the time came to upgrade RVone was definitely the place to go.In November 2019 we purchased a new 2020 Jayco Greyhawk 27U motorhome. Monica our sales person was excellent. Very knowledgeable of the product. Had a few issue with unit contacted service and within a short period of time they were able to get it in and corrected issues. We loved the unit except for one issue the sofa was very uncomfortable and wished that we had purchased one with theater seating. Reviewed available unit on their website and they had a new 2021 27U with theater seating. Plan was to check it out and see if we could upgrade our 2020 unit with the theater seating. Theater seating in the 2021 unit was amazingly comfortable. Spoke to Mark the owners, who remembered us from the previous year and explained our situations. He said let me work up the number for a swap of our 2020 for the 2021. In the mean time he said speak to Victoria in parts and see if a replacement theater seating was available for our 2020 unit. After going back and forth a few times with Mark and Andrea (our sales Person) we were able to swap units for almost the cost of replacing the sofa in our 2020 unit.Bob was our demo when we picked up our unit. He was amazing. We identified a few issue and he got them corrected immediately before we left with our new unit.We were able to get a brand new unit with the new Ford 7.3 liter engine which is amazing, another year of warranty and amazing theater seating for very little money. RVone is great and highly recommend them. Experience was definitely 5 stars.Cannot wait for camping season 2021Floyd And Cathie
Never had a bad experience so far.Update* The sales process is horrendous. No one ever calls back! I literally begged to buy a camper and these guy s had me sitting there for HOURS literally so long I had to order lunch. After waiting so long the financier Matt I believe comes out and tells me he hasnt even worked the bank on my deal after the salesman Josh repeatedly said he was working on it. Why not just tell me to leave and wait for a call? Oh thats right NO ONE EVER CALLS.Better yet my 2016 camper was locked before I left, paperwork, keys etc left with Josh I gave up on the deal and go to my camper everything was unlocked with my stuff inside.JOKES!
My husband and I were in the market for a pop up camper and contacted AlbanyRV. We had the pleasure of working with salesperson Joseph Franklin. He was very patient with all our questions, was very knowledgeable, and made our buying experience of our 1st camper great! Would definitely recommend AlbanyRV and our salesperson Joseph
What is less than one star? That is all my sales person Josh T. deserves. I was told everything was all set. I made the 6hour round trip, after having surgery on my leg, just to find out nothing was ready, and they could not even find the camper. It has been a week now since they couldnt find the rv that i had put a $500 down payment on, and no sales person has even apologized for wasting my time. Find a better dealer. This apparently does not care about a sale, or service in my opinion.
Sent an inquiry about an RV received an email supposedly from the GM himself saying one of his sales staff would be contacting me with 24 hours, well 24 hours has come and gone. No contact. I contacted them once before by phone and the salesman took my info and what I was interested in and said he was busy but would call me back. That never happened, they have you because they are the only ones in the area with the best inventory but maybe its time for a ride to someone else.
Purchased new camper in mid-March and after multiple calls, received registration on June 8th!! Multiple excuses, backlogged, lost in the mail. Was provided advice to get duplicate registration at my cost from DMV which I did. Registration that I just received from Albany RV was post marked June 4th. Certainly had no problem getting my loan processed so they could be paid!!
EDIT 8/21: I would again like to point out that I still have not received a phone call from service, sales, my rep or the title department. I am currently traveling and as I’m passing though Minneapolis I called a local dealer with a service center. They were quick to schedule me within the hour so that I can be seen by a technician. I have never made a purchase through these folks and they were much quicker at providing assistance than RV One, the dealer I actually made the purchase through. First and last purchase with RV One. I do not recommend.I am thrilled that I got the Airstream I wanted given the high demand. I am a disappointed however in the handoff and the service. We got everything we wanted, from the solar panels to the cell booster. When it came to understanding how it worked, there was incorrect information relayed to us. I did not receive clear communication on when I would be receiving the ownership paperwork and wasted 8 hours at the DMV trying to get it registered, and the assigned representative I have based on my region never calls me back. I’m having issues with the batteries now and I’m not sure if it’s a user error or an actually battery problem, but contacting them has been useless. Every time I call, I’m placed on hold as they transfer me to the appropriate department and I always get voicemail. I would be more understanding at the fact that they are busy if they actually made time to reach back out. Great for purchasing, not so great for help. Next time I’ll be buying from Colonial Airstream.
Buyer beware! Their customer service after purchase is horrible. My neighbor at Brennen beach RV resort, which is only 2 hours from this dealership, purchased a new Jayco in May. During the buying process they were told there would be no problem with service even when they told them it would be in a permanent site. During the demo they noticed a leak under the kitchen sink and was assured it would be taken care of. Well it wasn’t and the first time they used it they had a flood which damaged the cabinets. They failed to secure the bathroom door for transport and the door swung back and forth and had a large hole in it from banging against the toilet. The propane tank has a crack in it also. And the kicker is their awning totally collapsed the first time they had it out. These are loyal customers who have purchased three campers from them. They have made numerous calls to Albany RV and have even tried dealing with the owner. NOTHING has been done. So Buyer Beware. Would not recommend this place unless u plan to camp in their lot so they can service it if needed
We are about to buy a new motor home, and are trying to decide on gas or diesel. At RV one (Albany RV) we were told we would not be allowed to test drive a diesel. Period. With this attitude, you can just imagine the aggrivation you will experience if you buy here and need any warranty service. Look at the other google reviews about service. We are at a much more friendly dealer in Amsterdam, NY. Probably worked out best and saved us from RV Ones degrading attitude on a new motor home.
Definitely a great experience at Albany Rv One , from the salesman Joshua Johnson to the financing manager. Very helpful in finding just the right camper for us in our price range . Josh the salesman was very friendly and not pushy he took his time to explain everything and show us different campers . Highly recommend Albany Rv One and Josh for all your camping needs .
Sales and finance does a pretty good job, just hope you don’t need service. I’ve had two trailers from RV one in four years and service is hard to get, several thing have went bad which I had to fix myself. I finally got a water pump replace for my last trip out this year but then my heater doesn’t work. Which would have been nice to have after the storm. A place to go with heat but told it will be a month before it can be looked at. It could be snowing by then so I scheduled for next year Tentatively . Hopefully won’t need a place to get warm this winter. Never can get service here
It has a decent selection, the prices are little on the high side in my opinion. But the moment you walk in to their showroom they are on your like a wild dogs. I literally just wanted pamphlets to look at. And one salesman literally did not listen to me say that 3 times. I didnt want to talk to anyone, give me information, I just wanted literature. This salesman was persistent on me giving my information and siting down to talk with someone.I will be looking to buy, but if they dont listen to a small thing like that. I dont want any part of buying anything from there. It literally pays to listen.
My wife and I purchased a new 2018 travel trailer. We love it!!! From the Mike in sales being able to tale the time to show us what we wanted rather than what other places show you what they want to sell. To Mike in finance who made our transaction smooth. He had informed us on the warranties along with the extended warranties. Then when I went to pick it up, Dave had given me the tour of the trailer. He showed me everything that I needed to know. He also helped with questions I had if I didnt understand something. Then when I got it home, I noticed my electric jack didnt operate. I called and the next day they sent Bob in service to my house and he had it fixed in no time. Everyone I dealt with were very professional and very informative on issues I didnt understand. Im glad we chose Albany RV when we finally decided to buy our first camper.
Never been of much help after they got the sale. Service department is a joke. I’ve waited over a year to get repairs on issues that came with a brand new camper. Service dept ppl are nasty and unhelpful. Would not recommend to even an enemy. Look somewhere else with better service department.
I just bought a brand new Jayco Jay Flight from Albany RV.I actually met one of the brothers , Mark Strollo because I went to his office to tell him how pleased I was with my salesperson. he was a real nice guy.My salespersons name was Joshua Johnson and he was the best! When your dealing with big showrooms for cars or campers that level of service sometimes gets lost along the way but not with Joshua. He actually called me one week after I picked up camper to make sure everything was ok. What a pleasure it was doing business with Joshua. Highly recommended
We went over the summer to purchase a pop up camper . Looked a few , picked one out , went home and never heard back from sales man . We then went and purchased ( paid cash) from someone else. Back in Oct. Of 2019 we got a recall fron Jayco on the lift system for our camper . We called Albany RV because they are Jayco dealers and was treated very poorly by a girl named Jennifer in there service department. Was asked if we bought it there. Said no , but we tried to but never got a call back . Once she heard it was a pop-up camper we were treated very poorly . It is now Jan.2021 and still waiting for our RECALL to be fixed . No call back , no appointment. My next step is contacting Jayco . Very , very poor customer service.
If you buy an RV here I hope you have a different place to have it serviced. We bought one this year and are happy with the camper 100% and the sales folks, finance folks tried to sucker us into some shady deals but we said we where not interested and then they called us back with a normal offer, but its been over 5 weeks and no one ever gets a hold of you in the service department. I have called Robin a few times a week after week 3 since I did not hear anything and when I finally got a hold of her, she had no status for me at all. you get the endless sent to voicemail game they play. I spoke with the service rep who came out to write the service report and he even said its hard to get calls back. I hope no one gets stuck with the extended warranty (which I am glad we did not purchase) as you will be stuck here if you choose Jayco since its the only one around that services them. I thought based on the facility that it would be great but shame on me for not reading all the service horror stories. Ill update this post once we finally get our issue resolved. buyer beware! If you just want a camper the prices are decent, just hope you never need service.I will add some good comments too since my entire experience was not negative - To purchase the unit was quick and so was the equipment added to my vehicle. The demo person was great as well. The store inside has a bunch of items at decent prices (even compared to amazon).
I brought my RV in for some repairs almost 3 1/2 months ago I was told that it would take 3 to 4 weeks to fix. Ive nobody call me until I made a call at 1 month. It was not returned until I tried 2 days later I was told all the parts are in and repairs were in the works. That was the first week of July. I talk to my service rep almost 4 weeks ago he said it should be done in 1week well now its been 3 weeks from that date. I just want get a straight answer from some. I live almost 160 miles away and need time to make arrangements thank you
We met our salesman James at the Aviation Mall sale. He showed us a camper that best fit our needs, explaining new and useful features with no pressure. We then went trough the sales and trade numbers and explained we wanted to look at other makes and models for floor plans and we would let him know, again no pressure. We came back to James and purchased the one he showed us after all! We requested a few things to be done to the unit before we picked it up. When we got there, the items were all done and correct, and the delivery walk through with Bruce was amazing! Great personality and tons of knowledge! We drove out of there with a new camper, a good feeling about our purchase and huge smiles on our faces! Good Job team for making a big decision easy and comfortable for us!! The Andersons.
I purchased a Forest River camper back in June. From the beginning the experience was at best awkward and difficult. I made a couple of visits to the Latham location; first to look at the camper and then to pick it up. In neither visit, did I ever meet my salesperson who I spoke to over the phone. He made no attempt to meet with me. The person I did meet with seemed disinterested in spending time with us and couldnt answer all my questions. Also, on this first visit, I noted that the unit we were looking at had a broken door on the inverter and was missing the table. I was told these would be taken care of before I picked up the unit. After that, things got worse. When I came back to pick up my camper and go through my orientation on how to operate the unit, I noticed that neither of these items were addressed and despite filling out a form on what was missing I had to pursue this issue with your customer service representative. After several weeks and multiple correspondence I finally received my table and the replacement broken door. Unfortunately, the table showed up without a bracket. The CS rep had no idea about this and had to order the bracket separately. In addition, the mattress heaters that were supposed to be included with the camper were not included. Again the CS rep had no idea about this and we had to research this item and point it out to the CS rep. Im still waiting for a resolution of this issue.I hope all your other customers dont have to go through this same amount of follow up after the sale as I did. My final comments are on your personnel. While your CS rep has tried to be helpful, she did not have enough knowledge about my camper and what should be included. I have also had to pursue her regularly as she was not very proactive in reaching out to me. I would say your salespersons I dealt with were not particularly knowledgeable either. This was my first experience with purchasing a camper. I have to say it was not a good one. In the future as I look for my next camper, I would look for another dealership - one that seems to have a better idea of how to deal with these basic CS issues.Mike Mattera
RVONE Albany Worst Company to deal with. Everything they promised to do never happens. They were supposed to setup my hitch before they delivered it and they forgot to do it and they set a service guy that didnt know how to set it up. When he tried to set it up it bent the hitch and destroyed it. I have been waiting 4 weeks to get a check from them so that I can go and buy the correct hitch. Dont buy from them. I have been calling them daily to talk to someone but nobody calls me back Filled a BBB complaint and will be filling a small claims court action this week. biggest wast of time .
If I were able to put negative star I would. This is the worst place to buy an rv. I purchased a brand new 2019 travel trailer from them and within a week things were breaking. After numerous calls with no response, I started calling Keystone..they arent much better..to try to get my trailer fixed. I purchased all the extended warranties and was given the run around from them. I will be getting my next rv from Alpin Haus. They were extremely helpful...and with a trailer i didnt even buy from them
I am frustrated to have to post this, but I hope it will help others as they consider doing business with this company. I purchased a used hybrid from them last July and enjoyed it through the summer, even though the electric did not work on the refrigerator (only has). I decided to take it into them in March to replace the heating element and dewinterize it. We did a full walk around when I dropped it off with ample detail paid to each scratch and ding. After paying my $480 for the repairs I hooked my trailer up and drove home.As I backed into my driveway, my wife noticed a break in the driver side rear bumper and a dent along the the side panel. There is no way it was missed in our initial walk around and I missed it upon pickup. I called the service person and they asked me to send an email with a picture. After a follow up email and a message I received the reply below...Good morning,Ive received the photo of the area in question. After review, were positive that did not occur while unit was here. The unit was parked in a remote area where no other vehicles were parked or moved. Also, its directly on the driver side rear, which is very noticeable upon pickup, while walking to your vehicle. To further assist, I can get you a price on the damaged parts if youd like.I will never work with this company again and have already submitted a claim to the BBB. To dismiss my concern and call me out for not noticing it when I walked out and then offering to price the damaged parts for more serve $$ in their coffers is terrible business practice. Lesson to others is to take your services business elsewhere.
On 8/15 we purchased a travel trailer from Albany RV. To be more exact, we accepted delivery of a travel trailer on that day.On inspection few damages on our camper were found as stated by the company in the delivery receipt to us: Items that need to fixed or installed by a Service Technician are: lambricant tie down. slide seal needs replacing waiting for part. window seal on slide loose.Out of the 3 issues above, the major one being slide seal.On September 3rd I decided to email the dealership since no contact was initiated on their side so far. I got a quick response from costumer service who ccd my email to service department and their head.On September 15 I emailed all of the people ccd in the email again since I havent heard a word back from anyone in service department. No response. Not even costumer service acknowledged my email. On September 22nd I emailed all of the above once again stating this is my 3rd email with no response so far or any kind of communication otherwise I feel forced to bring my camper back to your store for return and full refund.Few hours after this email, I finally got a phone call from one of the email recipients. The service associate was unaware (simply didnt read any of the prior emails in the chain) about the damage to our camper but he did ask me to send him pictures of it.And so I did. Multiple pictures of the damaged seal, that was there on delivery were sent.Few hours later I get a confused phone call back in which I was informed that there is no damage to my seal and it certainly doesnt need to be replaced based on the pictures. Complete disconnect from everything in reality, that was documented by their own technician on the delivery date 8/15/2020. Over 5 weeks went by and waiting for part promise has been completely lost on these people.I asked for the service manager to look into the matter and to his credit he returned my call some time later on the 9/22 stating that the part hasnt been ordered and it will take additional 4-6 weeks for it to come. Than he changed the tune, and said about having similar part coming in for another camper that might be long enough to be used on ours for repair.I explained to him that water is now leaking into the trailer and we need to fix this issue ASAP, to which we were told there is nothing I can do about the water damage. We did cover the trailer to prevent any further damage to it with a 20x40ft tarp since obviously dealership couldnt care less.On 9/27 I received a phone call that they have the parts now to fix our camper and on 9/28 I brought it for repair that was supposed to be completed that very day. By the end of the day I received another phone call that repair wasnt completed and they will get it done as we speak. I was promised a phone call back right away, which never came...On 10/1 I made a few phone calls to the store asking to talk to either service manager or associate, but multiple times I was redirected to the voice mail, and hours went by with no call back.I drove to the store and had to wait for 30 minutes for an associate to come out of his bubble to tell me that once again they dont have the right part and over night order which was supposed to arrive yesterday hasnt been delivered yet.But it surely will be in here today and our camper will be taken care of right away. This is where my current timeline ends. I will be updating it here as the time goes by, but so far not only I would not recommend this business to anyone, I will make it my mission to inform anyone willing to listen about their complete lack of professionalism, sad.On 10/1
Not one to write a review but had to.From dealing with sales (Chase) to financingHanna to Lisa and service walk through with Mike I was very impressed. There facility was very impressive. I would recommend to everyone for me, it was worth the 3 hour ride to deal with them. If your thinking about a rv you need to check them out.
Originally put a down payment on another trailer at another local RV dealership. Our friend recommended we go check out Albany RV before we picked up the unit to compare prices. Boy were we glad we did. We worked with sales manager Kristin and John in finance. They were both very pleasant to work with. Kristin was patient, as I looked at the same three units for about 3 hours until I finally made my decision. She answered all of our questions as first time trailer buyers and walked us through the whole process. The best part though was that we got a newer trailer for a better price. We have had our trailer for about 2 months and couldn’t be happier.
Buyers beware. They will sell you a camper for cheap but the customer service and experience that comes with t are not worth it. Bought a camper two years ago and it was agreed that they would store it. Went to pick the camper up in May and was told by the sales rep that it was at the colonie lot just match the serial numbers and take it. No one came with us to make sure we took the right camper it was almost like we were a bother. Go to that lot and no camper there. Go back to the store and was told oh must be at our Albany lot. Once again no one came with us. Finally find my camper with a hole in the slider that was clearly hit by another camper. Called the store and was told “tow it to use so we can see it”, not we will be right there. So after I refused to tow it they said they would send someone over to get it later. Go back to the store again and get met with a sales manager that tells me this is going to have to go through my insurance company because it’s on me. Told him I was not dealing with him any more find me someone higher. Talked with TJ and was told well it would have to be warrantied. This was he wrong answer again. Asked to speak with Mark Strollo and was told he was too busy to deal with this. Finally after some arguing and an email/phone calls to Don Strollo it was agreed to make right and they towed it to camp for use. Was told the fix would be in by July. The fix never came until October. While fixing the tin some other warranty work was found by their technician and submitted for repair. Was told this would be handled before the close of last season. The parts just came in and now I’m being told they will not be able to repair on site like originally agreed upon until November and that the wood work that needs to be done will not be warrantied if cracked during instillation because of the cold. Also I’d need to run the heater for a minimum of 24 hours before they would even come up. This is unacceptable at best. I bought. Brand new camper and have had nothing but issues with it and the customer service from this place. Go somewhere anywhere else. Pay a little more it will be worth the better customer service.
Dealer, Albany RVOne, 5 months after repairs were made, is now charging me for repair of the emergency brake ($147.86) that did not work on day of pick up and a leaking storage compartment ($78.40) on a brand new 2020 Entegra Odyssey. Items which surely should be covered under warranty. They also charged $259.13 to install gutter extensions which I provided, an amount that seems extremely excessive since I dont believe it could have taken more than 15-30 minutes to perform this task. On a recent service visit I foolishly asked them to fill my propane tank while it was there, assuming I would pay for the propane, but I never imagined they would charge me $75 for labor to do so. Purchasing your new RV here may be a buyers dream but wait until you need services/repairs.
I need to commend Victoria in the parts department. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about generators, adaptors, and what suppliers she could go to for what we needed, but she went above and beyond for us. She wrote down websites and part numbers to make it easier for us when it didn’t look like she would get what we needed in time for when we needed it. She spent quite a bit of time with us, and while we all were wearing masks, her eyes showed she was still smiling and a kindness most don’t exude these days. Thank you so much Victoria! In all our time shopping around, at ANY dealership/camp store, you’ve been the kindest and truly know your stuff. Obviously no script necessary. We drove 5.5 hours to buy a camper elsewhere because our salesman at Albany RV was very little help, but with the parts person you have in Victoria, we WILL be back to deal with her for all of our rv parts needs!Thank you,Lila & Dave Miles
Purchased a brand new Jayco in September 2020, paid cash. We discovered in Jan 2021, when we still hadnt received a title, that Albany RV sent the paperwork (title/reg) to DMV under someone elses name. DMV processed the paperwork (also didnt catch the error) so that our camper is now titled to somebody else and the camper sitting on our property we do not even technically own. My husband and I talked and we felt like when you go to sign your paperwork it all takes place while youre standing at the main reception desk. Papers being shuffled all over and its chaotic. I think this process should be done @ a desk somewhere where you can sit down and its not such a cluster. It is now 1 month since we discovered the error and it is still not fixed. Someone should be fired over this!!!!!!!!! I will say that Shannon @ Albany RV has been exceptional at communicating with us and is the only reason this even gets one star!!!!!! Beyond upset.
My wife and I purchased a camper from here and the camper itself is great and the process to purchase was fine. However, now its 3 years later and we need to get some repairs done and its impossible to ever schedule repairs. We attempted to get a few things fixed last year but were told there werent enough issues and they wouldnt help (what?!?). This year there are more problems and they never return calls, or reply to the email from the website (which they specifically say to use for faster service). When I call to try and talk to someone I get transferred to voicemail without any warning. So youll be talking to someone and then all of a sudden you are transferred to a voicemail. Awesome customer service. I have since found someone local that is going to help me with my repairs and will never use or recommend Albany RV again.EDIT: So I post a negative review on Albany RV and they reply to my negative review but they have still yet to ever return my wife and Is calls or emails. The email address they put in their response to use is the SAME ONE weve been using that they completely ignore. Dont let their seemingly quick response on Google Reviews make it seem like they care. If they did, they wouldve replied to my call or emails when they saw my post instead of replying on Google only.
Originally started as a very bad experience, however due to the personal assistance and knowledge of the salesperson, Emily Walter I am able to give them 5-stars. As with most new RV purchases, there are details to be addressed, with the help of a caring attentive salesperson this was not an issue.
Visited this dealer in May to look at a 2020 columbus 378mb. The salesman could not unlock the unit and didnt seem very interested in helping us get in to look at it. We returned in Sept for an open house, worked with Mike, a salesman who had been there for 25 years. Every unit was open to walk in and look at except for that same columbus we looked at in May. Mike said let me grab the key(as I chuckled to myself). Guess what? He was unable to get in the unit as well. He was more diligent, called service who removed the core, and we were able to see the inside. It was very nice inside except for some trim that was warped and about 10 other things we pointed out. Mike told us he would take care of all that we pointed out, and get us a good price since this unit was on lot for 100 days(of course, because nobody was able to get in lol). After waiting for financing, I was told we didnt qualify for the loan after going thru about 4 banks. We we told to go thru our credit union, which we did, and were approved for 50k. I asked Mike if he could do 62,500 on this unit, he talked to finance and told me he could not do it as it was below their cost. He also told me, he had to pay off my other travel trailer and he could give a 1k more for trade and thats the most he could do. I asked for my deposit back and went to Boat and RV Warehouse, bought a similar unit and they gave me a better deal than Albany Rv did and we purchased a 2021 crossroads cameo and they had no problem getting us financing thru m and t bank (our previous unit was financed thru them) and Albany Rv had tried M and T bank as well and told us we were denied. I guess things work out in the end, as we got a good deal somewhere else. I bought my first travel trailer thru them as well as my sister and my wifes sister who have had service after the sale issues with Albany Rv. I will never return to this dealership and will not recommend anyone to buy from them. By the way, the MSRP for my 2021 5th wheel was 96k, which was in comparison to the 2020 Columbus
The customer service manager sent an email introducing himself and thanking us for the purchase of our pop-up camper. When I emailed him back letting him know that there was some issues with our purchase ( sink was still leaking and it was supposed to be detailed and cleaned upon pick up and it was filthy with hundreds of stink bugs under the mattresses) the managers response was that he would look into it and call me personally. It has been months and I have yet to receive a phone call or email. I will never buy anything from Albany RV again.
Do not go to this place they will lie to you and when you put down a $500 deposit to see a camper and when they give you a run around. And they are to busy to show you stuff and your there for 3 hours and then say we will call you to ler you know if the bank will. Work with and they new send your stuff to a bank then you say forget it and go to a different rv store they hold your money for 30 days. Vary poor place bad place of business stay away from this place. This place should be closed down
I’d give the place a negative star if possible.I bought a 2017 Rockwood 1640ltd in 2018. I’ve had nothing but problems from the get go. The camper was supposed to have repairs completed to it prior to me picking it up...none were done. I purchased a warranty to cover mildew damage and another one that covers critter damage (basically making sure the camper doesn’t have holes that can allow critters in when it’s in storage). Camper canvas was never cleaned and there were holes that were not sealed. I really could go on more about the condition of the camper but..I was promised a months reimbursement, of my loan payment, to compensate for my “inconvenience”. I’ve never received this payment and when I did call to inquire about it..I would get passed around to various people who told me that they couldn’t authorize this but that they would bring it up to someone who could. Two years later...still waiting!!
I have had the hardest time getting in touch with charles from the service dept! He was extremely rude to me and talked down to me on the phone. I explained that our camper was in a seasonal site and we can not bring it back. Charles informed me that the manufacturer puts axels on the campers so they can be moved! I purchased a new 2021 Aurora. The day we took it to our seasonal site we found holes and a leak in our awning. I contacted ted right away. He put in for a service order to have it fixed. That was August 1st. To date i have called multiple time and emailed the pictures of the holes. I have not heard from Charles! I will never never purchase anything from them again! I will never refer friends or family there!
Buying the 2017 toy hauler was the easy part... have had it for 6 months and have had issues enough to not be able to use it for 4 of those months! Had to cancel 3 trips so far! Now its once again out of service and they cant even look at it for a month! The worst customer service I have ever experienced AND I have the super duper extra warranty!! Its not necessarily the people but the system they have in place is extremely overwhelmed! No replies to emails about issues etc... all I wish for is what I paid a fair price for and a unit thats usable!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else I will for my next one!Update: my top of the line luxury toy hauler has been out of service since July 22 with the slide falling out of it.... it took Albany RV 5 weeks to just come look at it! So much for my camping season!UPDATE #2 Got it back with more things wrong with it when it went in! Broken moldings, trashed linoleum, scratched TV..... just AMAZING! Does anyone know a good consumer lawyer in the Albany area?
I purchased a used RV @ Albany RV - My first impression wasnt good but I really loved the RV and it was a great price. So despite having to wait nearly 30 days and paying for it in full before it was serviced, inspected and delivered to me I accepted their terms. SO GLAD I DID!! They did everything they said they would and also threw in without argument (1) new battery and a new mattress. The walk through to describe features of this RV was excellent and not rushed. Thank you for your great customer service: Lindsey, Jay & Don. Sorry for not being the best customer to walk through the door
Today I called and spoke with Jennifer in the service department because we were concerned about our tow hitch. We were leaving today for a trip and she said bring it in.Hands down the BEST service we have had in a long time. Jennifer in service was amazing took care of us. Had one of the service techs look over, tighten and fix our issue.I can’t thank you enough. You made me feel safe for our camping adventure!!Thank youGloria and Kevin Lumbra!!
A transaction that should have taken a week at the most took over 6 weeks because they withheld info we needed (one story we got was that there had been a lien on the unit that they were unaware of, though another staff member denied that) and never returned phone calls or emails. The delays caused us a great deal of cost and inconvenience, including having to move all our possessions twice within 2 days, since wed given notice at our apartment, intending to spend the summer in our camper. The only reason theyre getting 2 stars is because they FINALLY sold us another unit at a good price & expedited the paperwork.UPDATE: I dont know how these people stay in business. Two of our doors were defective and the unit was under warranty. We called about repairs and they told us to bring it in. I said I wasnt pulling it out of its camping spot where it had been set up, leveled and hooked up to stay the whole summer, renting a truck, towing it an hour one way, leaving it for weeks (leaving us nowhere to live, since wed given up our apt for the summer), then renting a truck again for the 2-hour round trip home, not to mention all the setup again. They agreed to come to us since they were delivering a unit near us. They came and assessed the repairs, told us theyd be back, then they didnt show up for OVER A YEAR, despite numerous calls to them.
Watch out! Bad business practices! The sales rep took my $1,000 and stopped returning my calls and texts. Then when I asked to speak to a manager, I find out they sold my camper to someone else!? I was waiting 3 weeks for this! I made plans! Cost me thousands to cancel everything. No call back from supervisor to fix this mistake either! My kid was relying on this for our 1 and only vacation. So heartbreaking!
So where do I even start. On May 25th of this year we signed the papers and purchased a Jayco travel trailer from Albany RV. The salesman told us we should be able to pick it up within the next couple weeks once the lien release comes through the bank.....Tomorrow will be July 1st and we’re still not able to pick up the travel trailer. Mind you, we’ve already made our first payment on the travel trailer itself. It’s impossible to get ahold of anyone at the dealership. After days of leaving voicemails on the salesman’s cellphone he refuses to return our calls. So I reached out to his manager whom assured me he would keep me updated on the daily about the status of the lien release. Yet again, no phone calls from management either. I never leave reviews of businesses and tried to be as patient as possible, but this experience has been horrendous. I will never recommend doing business with this company. Here we are halfway through camping season and I’ve yet to use the travel trailer I own. My $1,500 seasonal campsite on lake Champlain is also going to waste and this company could care less. Beyond frustrated at this point.
I was happy at first with my experience, Josh was very helpful and knowledgeable, but then decided to wait til spring to trade our camper in and now ive been trying for 3 weeks to get my deposit back and I have left multiple messages and emails and nobody returns my messages. I dont know how they expect me to return in the spring since they are terrible at returning messages and wont refund my money. From reading comments seems to be common practice and they should fix that issue along with refunding my money.
I would give them a 0 if I could. I was sold a 2 year old trailer which I asked for the roof to be sealed on before delivery. They never did that. Also broken cabinets they said would be fixed before delivery, never done. Delivery was a nightmare. Delayed a full day while I had all my belongings pulled out of the old trailer. Zero return calls unless I waited on hold with their office. Lies after lies and empty promise after empty promise. I was promised a gift card in August, not October, still don’t have it. I was promised my first months payment covered, never happened. After you do your walk through, when you buy, you’re dead to them. Zero customer service, zero return calls, even emailed the GM, TJ Houser, he didn’t even return an email or a call. Sales manager told me they sell 500 units a month and couldn’t be bothered with my used RV issues then hung up on me. Please please please, whatever you do go to Alpin Haus, I bought my first RV there and they were incredible. Full set up at delivery the whole 9. Albany rv just dumps the trailer on site and leaves, a day late and 25 lies and 100 phone calls later of course. Sales team had the wrong paper work each time I went in. I was signing paper work for a 45000 jayco when I was buying a used one half that price. My final walk through had all the wrong paper work for the unit, I asked the guy if I could have proper paper work so he handed me some generic checklist and wrote “Avenger” at the top and said that’s all I needed. The other 25 sheets who knows what that said. They treat you decent right up until you sign the contract then it’s all down hill. No return calls, poor service, outsourced delivery with NO SET UP!!! Promises of gift cards and compensation for the absolute horrid service and they never come through. Please stay away go to alpin Haus
Sales staff was good. My salesman was knowledgeable and kind. When I went to put my paperwork in at reception the girl sitting there started telling me about her $exual experiences with various sales staff and how she would be braking up the marriage of my salesman. I just wanted to get out of there! When we went to pick up our unit she was crying at the desk. So uncomfortable. We have yet to use purchased warranty but service was okay. Slow but my salesman was on top of them.
Worst experience. We knew which RV we needed. Bought it & had nothing but problems since signing papers. They are beyond disorganized & bad customer service. After months of delays (not Covid related) we drove 6 hours to pick up NEW RV, it wasnt ready. They forgot to install items, we arrive at home to learn all 3 batteries need replacement (cant hold their charge), water leak, cabinet damaged from the water, 2 windows dont lock, hot water tank with issue lighting, fuse box cover broken, stairs rusty & not repaired. I could go on, but no need. A NEW Newmar shouldnt have these issues. After sitting in lot in NY, these should have been checked by dealer during review of the new > $100k RVUpdate: Left messages for TJ Hauser, no reply. Still waiting for extended warranty dates to be updated from Feb to June. Still waiting for corrected check for Sales tax. Meanwhile, after sleeping in the unit 4 nights, we discovered that neither the smoke nor CO2 detectors were engaged before leaving RV One. Weve engaged both detectors & replaced the batteries. One piece of good news from service manager, Nick, new batteries have beenabeen check to be sent. To date, Nick is only person from RV One who has a followed up on calls/emails & who has been up front with us.
My parents bought a used RV from here. On the drive home the TV fell off the wall. Then the slideouts ended up leaking and molding fell off. When we called about it they said no problem. When we got there after MONTHS trying to get an appointment they tried to charge us for all these things that were covered by the warranty. I lost count of how many people I had to talk to on be half of my parents because they were extremely upset and angry. Fast forward three years later and in those two years and only 500 miles later: refrigerator wasnt getting cold, water pump needed to be replaced, heat element also needed to be replaced along with the main lock. That is just a few of the issues. I will never recommend this dealership for used RV purchases. I feel as though the salesman took advantage of my parents. Once they get your money they couldnt care less about you. No customer support or customer care.
Terrible customer service and follow up. Purchased a new camper last year and we had problems right from the beginning. Our camper dvd system and speaker were faulty...they ordered the parts last year ...still don’t have them... one excuse after another. I’m surprised they haven’t been sued because they don’t uphold their contracts. We paid for an extra warranty obviously it’s useless with these people. At this point I’m thinking about taking steps to get my money back for this bogus warranty plus the $100 we paid for these stooges to come out to us. I’m going to try contacting the manufacturer to see if i can get the parts. I think the Attorney General should know how they don’t uphold their contracts. There has to be some protection for us consumers and I plan on finding out.
What an outstanding and awesome experience dealing with Albany RV. The customer service is fantastic, I cannot say enough about Jake Kalil our sales representative he was so patient, answered any and all questions/concerns and a wealth of knowledge regarding their products, not to mention the best deal ever on our new 2019 Motor Coach. The fantastic service continues with the finance department and Kate Murnane what a pleasure to deal with, such a smooth and easy process. We traveled over 400 miles to do business with Albany RV and will recommend family and friends to travel the distance for such a wonderful experience. I am so very pleased with our purchase and the exceptional customer service, BEST EXPERIENCE ever. I hope to stay in touch with such wonderful and caring individuals.
This is the worst place to buy a RV . I bought new in 2016 an was told by the sales person to take out the extended warrantee . it would cover everything . Asked if it would cover coming to the lot when problems arose , an was told it would . Nothing could be further from the truth . My first time to another state they wouldnt do nothing to repair it . I had to fix it myself , so i canceled the warrantee an had the money sent back to the bank . It didnt make sense to pay for warrantee an get nothing in return . In the 4 years I have had this motor home I have had to fix it 32 times , that is 8 times per year . I cant even sell it because its only worth $50,000 an I owe 79,000 . So you see it not worth buying one of these motor homes , an especially at RV one in Albany , NY where the lie to people . Once you buy it your on your own so beware.
My husband and I just purchased our first Jayco travel trailer from Albany RV. We had an exceptional experience from the beginning to the end. Our salesperson Tyler was professional and knowledgeable from the start. He helped us get in to the perfect camper for our family. Our demo guy Zack was awesome...so friendly and helpful, he went above and beyond for us on our pickup day. We ran in to a bit of an issue with our vehicle and attaching the trailer. He recruited Steven, who was equally as great from service, to help us with the problem with our hitch. And then, 2 other gentlemen from the service department (who I regret not getting their names) stepped up and together they all helped resolve the issue and got us on our way! Our team at Albany RV was the BEST! We are grateful and would highly recommend this organization and especially Tyler, Zack and Steven & the 2 other guys who helped!!
Initially I had a terrible experience with these guys, about a year ago when I bought an RV. They never returned calls, etc. Last October, more than a year after the RV purchase, once I sold it - I needed their help with the refund on my extended warranty service. To my surprise, I got the check ! So in the spirit of the Holidays - a BIG thank you Melissa and Coleen, Happy Holidays - and Im modifying my review from 1 to 5 stars
I bought a new Jayco camper and it got damaged somewhere between making the deal and delivery. Thanks to Brad Buyce and Jeanne Lamora they made it happen even through the Covid set back. For my inconvenience they gave me 10% off a cover and tire covers. Rvone is a reputable company to deal with.
Great Experience - We purchased a 2020 Newmar Baystar from RV One. WE didnt have a whole of of RV experience. Our Saleman Brad took a very good amount of time showing us several models and picking one that would be right for us. The Finance dept did an excellent job on our rate and terms, and the walk through/explanation with Bruce was excellent. We have returned for some minor warranty work and felt everything was addressed quickly and thouroughly.
Giving one star is too much, stay away fromAlbany RV. Once they get your money you are ignored. For example driving the coach home for the first time found multiple minor issues and a big one being only one set of keys. It took 6 days to get a response and not all issues resolved. I was told i would be getting a phone call soon for new set of keys. Heard nothing yet, big surprise! The following weekend took coach for a ride and found an electrical issue and broken vent. I have filled out numerous service requests for two weeks and have heard nothing. These are minor issues, what would happen if I had a major problem. I also purchased the extended warranty for 6 years, WHY? I cant get ANY service on the coach in the first month. Frustration doesnt even come close to how I feel. This is the only company that I deal with where I cant talk to anybody in service on the phone.
Beware!!!! The customer service was okay. The salesman have little to no knowledge of the units. The managers are very pushy. They are very overpriced. We left a deposit, and 3 days later talked to the salesman via text (so I have Proof). We told him we would not be using his company and to kindly refund our deposit. He said he would put it through immediately. A week later and nothing. So I called the customer service and they told me they disbursed all funds after 30 days. Well it’s been 30 days and still nothing. We shopped for RVs at six other dealers and left deposits at three we receive those deposits back within 48 hours when we asked for them. Luckily i used my credit card. Now I’m calling my bank and letting them know of (RV One Super store Albany RV)Fraudulent dealings. I may call my lawyer to.
We had to special order some parts a couple times this summer for our Motor Home. John in the parts dept. has been responsive to our request to insure that the right parts were ordered, he always called back with the prices and the shipping details. And we were notified when they arrived in a timely manner.Albany RV parts department honestly deserves a 5 star rating. In about 3 weeks, I hope to make the same type of favorable comment on their service department.
From start to finish my experience was very good. I want to give a huge shout out to my salesperson Gabby. She is top notch. She wasnt pushy, she was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She accommodated me in every way....even moving up my demo and pick up date a day early knowing I was pressed for time. They have a very large selection of new and used RVs...I purchased a Class A motorcoach and she went out of her way to make it happen. I reccomend you ask for her by name when you decide to call or visit.I also want to give a huge shout to Zack. He was the tech that did my demo. He was funny, patient and very knowledgeable as well. He took his time and answered all my questions and even went over a few things twice. I cant be more happy. Thank you Albany RV.
Got an amazing price on last years Keystone. Everyone we worked with was super helpful. They fixed every discrepancy and answered all our questions. What amazed me was how not pushy they were on upsales. Such low pressure! It was pleasant and Colin was a great salesman.
We purchased our fifth wheel about two now from Albany RV and like all sales department they were great and as usual promised us great service as well. But when I needed some service work done in the very beginning it was a bit of a challenge. Well together Albany RV and us stuck together and worked through our issues and Im glad to say that two years later I am glad to say that not only are we happy with our Jayco Fifth Wheel but we are even more pleased with the overall experience weve shared with Albany RV. Thank you all!!!
We had a great experience!!! Tyler our sales rep was extremely helpful and very patient!!! This was a large purchase for us and we flip flopped from a pre owned unit to a new one and Tyler was again very patient and no pressure as we believe our best interest was his too. We bought a new unit and couldnt be happier. The demo was amazing and they went over the entire camper with us and we left feeling very comfortable and confident. Will highly recommend!!!
Well they started out really good. We went twice. Met 2 different sales people. The second time is for this review. We put a deposit down on a unit that we didnt get a chance to look at since it was supposedly in their auxiliary lot. We were waiting to hear on financing and the next thing we knew they sold the unit we had a DEPOSIT on. They also called over 7 times and emailed about 3 times in 1 day. We decided after some checking on things we were not going to buy a unit. It has been almost a month since we were down and we have YET to see our refund. We have called numerous times as well as emailed and all we get back is another sales call trying to sell us another unit. Which we are definitely NOT going to do any business with Albany RV One now or in the future. EVER!!!!!
Bought a used Hummingbird in June. Great camper. Good salesperson. Poor delivery. Camper had been delivered to their lot with black water filled and smelly. Promised that it would be emptied before we picked it up, along with other issues (broken battery case, old battery was to be replaced, replace old mattress, bathroom counter was falling apart, needed new Velcro on the bench seat cushions). When we got there to pick up the camper and have our demo, nothing promised was done. We assumed the black water had been emptied. All other repairs were done as we waited (except the new battery, we never got that). As we drove down the highway, got to our destination, it was evident that the black water was never emptied. Imagine the smell inside the camper, after several months of it sitting in the summer sun, sloshing around during our drive. And no place to dump right away. There were several other issues that we called Albany RV about, left messages that were never returned.Overall, after being told the difference between Albany RV and other RV dealers was “that we care about our customers”, we learned this was not true.We would not recommend this dealership to any of our friends or family. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way.
While in the market for a new camper, I found one online I was interested in. Through Messenger, and messenger only was I able to contact a salesperson. After days of back-and-forth messaging I finally made a phone call and was able to talk to the salesman. He had verbally indicated to me that he would be calling me back the next evening to run through a few options. It is now two days later and I tried calling him again only to find a voice mailbox that was full. Their website is terrible, it keeps flipping back and forth while Im trying to view inventory. I have found a camper elsewhere that I am on my way to purchase but figured I would try Albany RV one more time, to no prevail! Im a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, because Ive only heard horror stories about this dealership.
In June of this year we bought an RV from Albany RV (spent 27,000) It was our first and we were very excited. As soon as we got home we found dents in the RV . Before even leaving the parking lot of Albany RV in all the excitement luckily we had taken a lot of photo of us picking up the RV. When we reviewed the photos it was clear the dent was there before we even signed for the RV. We were told to call service and they would fix it, we just had to send in the photos and make an appointment, easier said then done. We called and called and called and left messages and received no response. We contacted Kate Murnane who helped us finance the camper the only person who ever called us back and she tried to help us solve this problem with service, she contacted our sales agent Our sales agent emailed a quick email that said to fill out a service request online and he would speak to service . After weeks and weeks and request after request finally the service manger Nick called back. He told us to send photos to him directly. We explained to him that now since picking u the camper the master bed frames wood was cracking and splitting and made the bed almost unusable. Not to mention that the bed was like sleeping on a cement floor in the first place and now it’s breaking . He said he would call us in a few days to set up a repair appointment . That was in late July early August . We have called and called but nothing . Finally we get a phone call from some lady but it turns out she wasn’t calling about repairs she was calling and was upset cause we had yet to come in a pay for our registration. I couldn’t believe the nerve. I explained to her what had been going on and that we would not be paying for ANYTHING more until the camper got fixed. We had paid a lot of money for the extended warranty as well and couldn’t get anyone to return our call. She quickly said she would contact service and have someone call us . Nothing !!!!! Since then we took the camper out for our third camping trip since we purchased it and the hot water heater stopped working so we had no hot water the qhklw trip . We could only use the camper a couple of times this year due to all the problems. Yet we have to pay monthly for the camper we can not use. The service manager should be fired and the company should be ashamed of themselves. We bought the camper with so many camping plans this summer .. I wouldnt buy anything from them ever again. Once you sign the contact or loan papers at Albany RV you truly are on your own. Ro think we even spent all that extra money on the extended warranty . We are very unhappy and plan to write reviews when ever possible to warn other families . It all could of be fixed easily if we were only valued by the dealership . This place does not value customers beware!--Jennifer Wade
I had a great overall experience with Albany RV. The best way to describe it is one-stop-shopping...no need to look further. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.Im retiring early next year and decided an RV would meet my needs--no living out of a suitcase and sleeping in a hotel bed for me. I knew it I was looking for a small well-equipped unit. I knew right away I couldnt afford a new unit. I didnt want a high-pressure sales experience and wanted to be able to research my options. I worked with Lou Clark at Albany RV. He didnt have anything in my size range when we first spoke, but he would contact me with options as he found them. He gave me all the information I needed to research units that were available. One day he knew he had found the unit for me. A Class C that was just under 25 bumper -to-bumper, with 3500 miles on it, and kept in a garage. He was right, he had the right unit!I researched the financing and Warranty options and Albany RV beat the best prices I found. Most importantly they were very nice about it.When I picked it up, it was very extensively detailed and I got a very thorough explanation, inside and out. This was one of the largest purchases, Ive ever made and I completely feel that I got the best deal that I could get. If Im ever in the market for another RV, I will return to Albany RV.
NEVER buy your camper from Albany RV!! My father and mother in law found a camper here that they loved. After several days of them playing games about financing my father in law decided to just buy it out right. He made the 3 hour drive from CT and I took him to pay for it IN FULL CASH. Not once did the sales man Tyler Barron say congratulations or shake our hands. A week later my husband and I went in for our demo, after we found several issues that they never fixed and the severe ant infestation we started to get annoyed. We waited another half hour for the demo kid to talk to his boss, they were supposed to put a brand new king size mattress on for us and they tried to put a TWIN mattress on! We told them that was not ok! Apparently they didnt have any so they were going to ship it to us. The next day the camper was supposed to be delivered to us and around 3:30 we hadnt heard anything so we called, apparently they never processed our delivery paper work! They said it wouldnt come till Monday! After my mother in law reached out to them they finally made arrangements to have it delivered that evening. We went through so many issues with these people... TERRIBLE customer service!!
Terrible, I bought a new camper from them less than 2 years ago. I still havent been able to take a shower because my hot water heater doesnt work, the sent a tech out, he didnt bring tools or parts, they sent him back out a week later with the wrong part, then said they would be back to fix it and never came, I try to call, they transfer you 3-4 times cause nobody wants to answer questions, then I get nowhere. Never again will I buy anything from Albany rv. I called another place they had my hot water heater fixed in 30 minutes.
We bought our 5th wheel camper here in 2017, and the sales process was great. We worked with Tyler, who worked very hard and was always accessible via phone, text, or email. The process with him was nothing short of excellent. After the sale, things dropped off for us. Our first hiccup was that the team responsible for the delivery of our camper to our site completely forgot to schedule us. It was nearly a fiasco, but luckily Tyler jumped in and managed to get us a private driver to take the trailer to us. That was great; thank you Tyler.Once delivered to the site, we noticed a few odds and ends wrong. The water/ice unit in the fridge wasnt working, there was some cosmetic damage to wood in the kids room, and the screen protection wasnt installed on the door. I thought they were minor items to get fixed, but boy its been nothing but a hassle trying to get them corrected. The service department at Albany RV is completely and totally unresponsive. It has been about a year since I first reported the issues, and since then Ive called, left messages, emailed, texted, and filled out the form on their website. Its hopeless. They dont get back to you. There are no apologies, nor a sense of remorse. Its just poor customer service. Ive given up on them honestly. Whenever the time comes to get another camper, I really will think twice before returning here.
1 star is even too much for this place!Stay far far far away from this place! Went to buy a camper that was “recently renovated”. Put a deposit it down over the phone and went to see it in person. That camper turned out to be the worst renovation job I have ever seen. No big deal we found one we really liked and told them we wanted it. Seems pretty easy. We were then told to come back in a day to fill out paperwork. Before we did any paperwork I asked when we could take it home...it would be around 2 weeks before we would even get to take it home! Being this late in the season we decided we would wait until next year to purchase a camper.Told our sale rep (which literally made me walk the lot alone and send him pictures of campers we liked to get us a price) of our plans he was very mad and very short with us. I asked about our refund for the deposit and he said it would be about a week (called on 6 aug) so I let it be and called again a week later to which I was told another week (19 aug). Called on 19 aug and they said it was solid to be disbursed but hasn’t happened yet. Called again the following week still no other news on it. Almost 30 days later and probably 3 hours on hold waiting for answers I still don’t have my deposit. Not only has the sales person (Tyler) and his boss avoided my call but so does the manager.Like a said stay far away and buy elsewhere it’s a wonder how shady people like this are in business still!
Sales staff amazing, service abysmal have been waiting for replacement shelf in closet that was broken apon purchase, for 3 months now. Still waiting. Wish we would have purchased elsewhere. No faith in them at all.(Regarding Albany RVs comment: I was in contact with your service dept. and sales dept. for over three months, phone calls, emails etc. perhaps you should have gotten involved earlier as I have nothing further to say to you except I will not be doing any further business with your company and will recommend no one else does either.)
I read a lot of reviews on RV one before we went to their Albany location to look at a Class C. Obviously with the multitude of horror stories I was very leery to say the least. We worked with Jake who was upfront and honest about the condition of the camper.. he was a straight shooter and got us the best price he could. I had been looking into buying from a private seller because I didnt want to deal with pushy salespeople trying to rip me off. Totally was not the case with Jake I cant speak for any other sales people but if you are going to Albany RV I highly recommend asking for Jake you wont waste your time he will tell you the best they can do and be honest with you. Cant wait to go camping!!😁
We just picked up our Rockwood mini light from Albany RV. We had a great experience sales through demonstration.Monica our sales associate did a a fabulous job. She was great assisting us with our initial communication by phone. She was readily available and good at responding to our many questions. When we finally got a chance to look at the units in person, again she was helpful and excellent at making sure all our questions were answered. We had questions concerning unit maintenance and service. The service manager (Nick) went through the unit with us, going through all of our questions. His professionalism was notable. We decided to purchase a Rock Wood Mini light. We felt the price was excellent and received a good trade value for our existing unit. We met with Kate the sales manager and Ben the finance associate. Both made our experience positive. We went through the unit carefully and produced a small punch list of items requiring remediation. When we picked the unit up, all our punch list items were complete. Zak gave us our demo. Well done Zak. The unit prep was excellent. Zak guided us through the units operation. And gladly took care of a few details I requested. The unit is siting in our driveway, ready for its first adventure.I highly recommend Albany RV. I believe you will not be disappointed.
There was considerable delay getting our pop up camper due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was no fault of the nice people at Albany RV.They were totally professional with answering my pestering calls. The purchase process went very smoothly and the demo for the trailer was super helpful.
Within the last month and a half, myself, a family member and 3 friends purchased campers from here and would recommend them to anyone! Great prices, great inventory! Special thanks to my salesman Conner, his manager Mike and John in finance for finding me exactly what I was looking for and for a price well below budget!
We drove all the way from Massachusetts to this dealership. We had been dealing with Joe Rosen and Hannah Walter and had already received our financing offer over the phone. Once the unit came in, we drove down to sign for the financing. There was a bit of a delay between when we received the financing until the unit was delivered, and I asked Joe Rosen if credit would need to be pulled again and he assured me that it would not, because all the financing was done in house through ‘their own bank’. The unit was supposed to be delivered in March, but after several follow ups and new dates, the unit arrived a few days ago. In the meantime, I had received a call telling me that Hannah had left and they didn’t know where our offer was left. I confirmed that we had received the terms and were just waiting for the unit to be delivered. When we got the call from Joe that it was in, we set up an appointment to make the three hour drive out to see it and sign the financing. Shortly thereafter, I received an alert that my credit was pulled again! I communicated this to Joe and he said he was sorry and didn’t know that would happen. I wasn’t very concerned at the time, because during the 60 or so days that passed, my credit actually went up by 15 points (and it was decent to start), so if anything, it should help. When we got to the dealership we went over to the unit with the salesman to see it, since everything we had done so far was my phone and email. It was a nice unit! However, Joe clearly had very little knowledge of it despite trying to appear otherwise. He told us that the three-way refrigerator could run off of solar, propane, or battery (should be ac, dc or propane). He also told us that the company includes “extra metal pieces” in case we need to replace part of the lift system - the pieces he was referring to are the safety guards for the lift system, not extras! Anyone who knows anything about RV’s or pop-ups knows better than this! I was patient with him regardless- he seemed young. But when we got back to the sales floor I was brought out financing with an APR 3.74 points HIGHER than we had been quoted by phone from Hannah, which was astonishing, needless to say. We opted not to accept the financing offer. When Joe was told we wanted our deposit back, he came over to us and loudly stated “if your credit was a few points higher, we probably could have gotten you better financing”. This of course was on a Saturday and there were lots of people around who clearly would have heard this given the volume at which it was stated, which appeared to be retaliatory as we had cancelled the deal. This is all in spite of having very reasonable credit! At this point my husband took the kids out to the car. I went back in and asked to speak to someone to express my frustration with the salesman, and I was directed back to the salesman himself. I explained how inappropriate I felt his behavior was and also my frustration with my credit being pulled without my permission, and his lack of knowledge of the unit. His response? “You seemed happy with me until you got the financing”. You see, the financing issue was only one of the problems and it happened to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. I tried to be patient through several issues over the course of these 2 months, as it appeared the salesman was inexperienced and I was keeping the end goal in mind. But after the experience we had at the dealership, I can no longer “be patient”. I wasted my entire day driving out to them with apparently false financing terms, which appears to have just been a ploy to get us to the dealership. On top of that, they clearly violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act when they pulled our credit again with obtaining our permission again, ESPECIALLY after I was told they would not be pulling it again after I asked! One of the finance guys who was present as I was expressing my concerned said that the Joe would not have known the answer to if my credit needed to be pulled again and that he should have had Hannah answer that question.
Salesperson,Conner Gifford , very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent price and quality. Paul, delivery and demo, took the time to review all items with us. We never felt rushed. Very satisfied with overall experience. This is our second unit purchased from RVOne and we would purchase from them again.
We bought a brand new pop up manufactured by Forest River here in Feb in 2016. One of the trailer tires went flat during the 2 months we stored it while waiting for spring. We had driven it less than 100 miles. But they refused to replace the tire. We won’t be back.Follow up: After seeing this note that we should call them I have left messages but no one has called me back. Still no help.
My experience dealing with Albany RV has been nothing but enjoyable. The sales folks I dealt with, Shawn and Jordan, make buying a new motor home a pleasure rather than a hassle as was my buying experience with other dealerships I have dealt with. Our new motor home was ready and waiting just as they promised and the walk around with Sarge was thorough and enjoyable. I have no complaints with the folks at Albany RV, they are professional, courteous and more than willing to deal with you.
Experience had its ups and downs with the downs being taken care of. Our salesman was excellent answering questions and concerns along the way. The down part of the experience was it takes a long time to get deliveries so if they dont have camper in stock might take some time. But in the end and they took care of the customer and got us our camper for our weekend camping trip
We just purchased our fourth trailer, a Jayco Jay Feather Micro 166FBS from Albany RV, and by far JONATHAN RASI was the BEST SALES PERSON we have ever had. He took the time to listen to what we were looking for, immediately showed us several options that would suit our needs. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and extremely helpful. If you are looking to purchase a new or used trailer, we would HIGHLY recommend asking for Jonathan Razi. Jonathan, we thank you for your kindness, professionalism, knowledge and for making the purchasing of the trailer so easy. Donna and Dan
We visited many of the RV stores in Vermont and could not find one that either had the selection or the customer service that we were expecting. Therefore we decided to expand out search to eastern New York. My wife called RV One in Latham and talked to Tyler. She told him exactly what we were looking for. He sent us several trailers before he found the one that he though was exactly what we were looking for. It is a 3 hour trip one way to RV One so we needed to be sure. The trailer did meet our needs and the price was acceptable. We worked with Tyler to have several enhancements included in the deal. We picked up the trailer on Aug 31st and decided to use it immediately so that we could see if anything needed to be fixed under the 30 day warranty.Within the first 10 days we discovered that the slide motor was defective. RV One installed a new one under warranty. Our demo was done by Dave. We go more hints and tips from Ed who worked on the trailer slide motor. Shawn helped us to take the trailer with us after the repair and gave us more advice. Jake always greeted us at the door with a warm smile. And words can not describe how good Tyler has been to us.We could not be happier with our experience with RV One in Latham
Id leave a 0 star review if possible. The worst experience of my life. Not only have they never called me back during the getting finance period its been almost a month and still no refund on my deposit. They dont care about the consumer.. almost all their used is rotten trailers that should be in the junk yard and if you do find that one good one expect to pay what it cost new.. will never return if you dnt care about loosing money then this is the dealer for you.
If I could give 0 starts I would. There has been nothing but issue after issue with the purchasing process then to delivery and now to warranty repairs. I will never again deal with Albany RV or RV one Super stores. Do your self a favor and go to a smaller dealership who values their customers
Albany Rv is the way to to. From start to finish. They are timely and will answer all your questions to make sure you are 100% satisfied. My sales rep Josh j was A1. He was out in the snow taking videos and photos for me. Writing me back at 9 at night. Well done Albany RV an josh. You have earned my business.
We were treated great from the beginning. Chad was not pushy as we started to inquire about the Anthem. Paul gave us a great demo of all the features. Kate was helpful to ensure all the details were met. if someone did not have the answer they asked a team member . They showed great respect and team players all the way to the end!We will be sending our friends and family to Albany RV ! Great customer service.
Purchased a new Jayco in March of 2017. Our salesman was Larry Ashley . He was and still is great to work with . We called him with a question when we were on our first trip and he called right back .Recently we went in for help with ordering a part on line . We were very fortunate that Joshua OConnor was at the service desk . He checked his inventory just in case the part we needed was in stock . It was not .He ordered it for us and always returned our calls to check status of that order. Part came in and we picked it up. We are very happy with Albany RV and their staff .
Our experience with AlbanyRV was excellent. The sales staff greeted us professionally and promptly when we arrived to look at RVs on a very busy Saturday afternoon. After describing our search parameters, the sales manager connected us with a knowledgeable and very helpful salesperson who showed us at least 10 different units. We went back inside the showroom and discussed the purchase price, which was reasonable and well within our budget. To add to it, they included the wiring, brake control, weight distribution, and anti-sway system. All of these features added to our confidence with towing a larger camper and made the decision to move forward with the purchase even easier. We are looking forward to many years of great memories and good times with our new Jayco! Thank you!
Bought a new camper in February and had a couple small issues. I was really worried about getting service after reading some of the reviews. I had an exceptional experience, the service staff went out of their way to get me taken care of and ready for the season. Big thanks to my service advisor Harry.
I never leave reviews but people need to understand how horrible the service department is at the Albany store….couldn’t get call back … texted head of Dept on website….said she would get back to me and never did….had to call a 4th time and could only tow camper up and wait for it…. Wouldn’t let me leave and come back when fixed….then seemed very uninterested in fixing the tv mount they installed wrong…. I was told service was horrible but didnt listen shame on me i guess
Kate & I have been searching for 18 months for an RV we could both afford & love . Colin, our sales rep & the Mgmt team at Albany RV were excellent to deal with in helping us find it. They were all people of their word & when something was missed on the prep , they went above & beyond to both take care of it & ensure we were Happy Campers . I highly recommend them in searching for your RV experience. This is our 2nd purchase from them over the years & could not be happier.Kate & Em
We purchased our first RV from Albany RV last month. We were hesitant to purchase there hearing some very negative service comments from prior customers. We did discuss this issue with our salesman Mike and he assured us they had recognized the service department problems and they had hired additional staff to address the issues. We have been pleasantly surprised by their service so far. Our phone calls have been answered and a service technician performed our warranty work as we expected. Hope they can keep their service level up in the future!
We bought a used RV here and would urge anyone considering purchasing a camper to take your business elsewhere. They lie and refuse to make any attempt to correct any problems, despite selling us an extended warranty. They wont even take our calls or return them if we are lucky enough to reach voice mail.
After seeing the travel trailer model with the perfect layout at your show in Troy during the winter, I researched the model online and found several dealers that carried the Jayco we wanted. Your dealership was the only one to have the model in stock and gave us a good price. The salesman was friendly and professional and we didnt feel pressured. Your finance department found us a good rate and we were able to spread the payments over several years. The unit with our specifications had to be ordered and we were told it would be here in 8 to 12 weeks. We were pleasantly surprised when it came in just under 8 weeks. We havent had the opportunity to use it yet, but we are confident that we are going to love out new camper! Thanks for a great buying experience.
I wish I had read the reviews and listen to the warnings. Worst customer service ever!!! Im going on a full week of no answers or call backs from any of the three people I have been trying to contact. They are so quick to respond untill they get your money. Then they drop off the face of the planet. All I ask for is a call back and an answer good or bad.Update: have now closed out 2 weeks since I have contracted to buy the camper. Its been paid in full, but I still have no camper. After 10 calls with no call back I got a hold of a manager and I am told that there is an issue with the title. Why wasnt I told this before hand? Sales Person hasnt answered a message in over a week. I hope he dosnt work on comission. Very frustrating to be left in the dark with a big purchase. Just endless voice mails and no return calls.
Found RVOne on the net, sent in an inquiry on the unit we were looking for and wanted pricing. Response by Connor was quick, friendly, informative and direct as to the pricing and our delivery options. Very efficient sales staff and the Finance mgr. Molly was great, made financing very easy and painless. No pressure sales. Delivery was great.
By far the worst place to buy a camper. They may have decent pricing but any support you need after the purchase is a complete nightmare. Their service department is impossible to work with, takes days to get a hold of, nickel and dimes you and has no idea what they are doing.Their sales department sells their expensive extended warranties and states if anything goes wrong they will come fix it. I will never purchase from them again. Run before you sign anything!
Thank you Tyler Baron for making our Motorhome purchasing experience so delightful! Tyler Is one awesome salesman who listens, finds & delivers the RV of your dreams! Special thanks to the Service Dept Managers & Team who prepped, serviced, fueled & made sure we were satisfied customers! Without hesitation, we recommend you call Albany RV and ask for Tyler Baron! We have great confidence that he will make your selection & purchasing experience as delightful for you as he has for us!
Awesome Service! We met Ted at the Harrisburg RV Show and were so impressed by the New Aire! Ted was great at follow up and answering all of our questions. We next visited Albany RV and our confidence in working with them was solidified due to the large, immaculate and totally professional facility. Ted guided us through the process of ordering our first Motorcoach and stayed in touch during the manufacturing process. We took delivery in April 2018 and were very pleased with the purchase process and orientation. After an entire afternoon of orientation we spent our first night on their lot. The next morning all our new questions were answered and then we were on our way to drive out west! We highly recommend Albany RV! Jan and Jim
Go somewhere else. Salesman was great but management insisted I had a problem with title. Motor vehicle couldnt understand their issue.? New trailer got broke into on their lot! No security, no fence in their storage lot, hard to believe. Im waiting for replacement door for 2 months on a brand new camper! This all happened because there is no security... 60 + campers broke into. Manager will NEVER return calls. Go anywhere but here.. Update : new door came in damage, wait for another one. Its going on 2 months. This would be a Rockwood parts issue.
Update: After reading many other reviews, I am disheartened to see that I am not alone in my belief that there is a lack of knowledge and ethics in this organization. So sad to put a poor review of this place. I had high hopes and thought it would be great. I got a fair deal on a large used diesel pusher and was told I had to pay for it completely before they would start the process of getting it ready for sale. The unit had just come in according to the sales staff and it needed quite a lot of work. We agreed and signed on a list of repairs documented in a buyers agreement. After three weeks of the unit sitting there (I drove by often on my way to the airport) my pick up date was pushed back yet another week. When I arrived to take it home, the unit was far from ready and some of the repairs were shoddy; not in line with the level of quality of the rest of the RV. I took almost two full days off work to deal with incomplete repairs and problems and Ubered back and forth several times. I even had to take the RV to a repair shop the second day I owned it because the Chassis A/C was not working (They paid for the A/C to be charged and no further investigation or consideration was given...so its likely leaking refrigerant). The unit still has problems and incomplete work but I was on a deadline and had to drive it out of state. They gave me cash to cover my expenses (lost wages and a half dozen 30-45 minute Uber rides).I feel like being forced to pay for the unit prior to its readiness was an unethical business practice and allowed this team to default on their contractual agreement of delivering me a vehicle free of problems and damages. Because I was on a time constraint of 1 month, I had no choice but to take the incomplete unit off the lot and hit the road...because I had already owned it for 4 weeks at that point and I was out of options.I feel like the process was shady and misleading and I was overpromised to secure the deal. I was given lots of incorrect information about the unit, some information being critical to the maintenance and care of the vehicle. As a manager of many people and a multitude of properties and vehicles, I know all of this should have been avoided. With something as complex and expensive as a Class A motorhome, I expected a more professional, organized and orderly experience.
Buying my Jayco was great! The salesman was excellent. However, trying to get warranty was not good! Thank goodness for Jayco who covered my fan and a new mattress. The person in charge of service could never remember why I called. In the beginning someone wrote to him, “Give him what he needs.” However, I let them know I was female! He insisted I had to bring trailer( 40 foot bungalow loft) in for service. Granted I am 4 1/2 hours away. He then said I ended pictures of the mattress. I waited five weeks thinking it took a long time. I called and asked what the problem was. First, he told me he couldn’t find my request and then admitted he forgot to call me and my request was denied. I then called Jayco directly .?They informed me they were waiting on pictures and had not rejected. Jayco went above and beyond to make sure I got a new mattress even though , by now, the warranty had passed! I was not spoken to with respect from the serviceman at RV One! I do love my Jayco though!
Bought a 2013 Keystone 38 ft, I had great customer service at 1st, they gave me new matrices & new ladder; everything they promised. Appointmemt on walk through day no one showed me how to use anything. Told me to call if with any questions. Albany RV gave me no Keys to my camper. I thought in delivery they would give keys to me. No Keys. I called for keys. It took me 5 months to get the keys to my Campe with no slider key. Took me another month to finally reach a live person. (no call backs). Said would replce slider lock, sent 1st service guy out with wrong parts a month later. Finally after 2 months got that taken care of.The worst customer service I have ever had in 20 years. I would not give them even 1 star for customer service. The staff does not know anything about the RVs they sell. When you call they pass you from 5 to 8 different departments and you get no assistance or service help. I paid for a 5 year warranty and they dont answer or return your calls to get anything fixed. So buying the warranty is useless.Take your business somewhere else. Im never going to purchase from Albany RV again unless its a cash deal.Only thing going for Albany RV is sometimes you can strike a deal.Dont finance with them with M & T bank because the rate is 18 %. I had to refinance mine at my home town bank. Got a 4% rate. I was paying 268.00 a month for 30 + years. Home bank Im now paying 305.00 for 10 years.Good luck if you buy anything here.
Update:I finally have gotten some resolution thanks to Mark Strollo who has been very responsive to my emails. I am so appreciative that he stepped in and assisted. My parts have been ordered after an extremely long wait.So very disappointed in the service department. I see all of the glowing reviews that have been posted over the last few days. None of them are about the service department!!! Our sales experience was top notch with Lou. Service is a whole other animal. Long story short I have been trying to have my issues addressed since July 11th. The shower door in our 2018 Jayco shattered while sitting in our yard. We also have two spots on the awning that have almost worn through and a pinched fresh water hose underneath. I filled out the online service form and waited, and waited, and waited for a call back. Finally after several calls to them, several emails and a few calls to Jayco directly I managed to get a date of August 18th to have The trailer looked at. I even sent an email to one of the owners which went unanswered. Now I am waiting again for the request to be submitted to Jayco and for parts to be ordered. Kayla Cary and her supervisor Robine have been little to no help in getting my issues resolved. The lack of professionalism is astounding. I will be putting the trailer in storage mid October. I am feeling as though the chances are slim to none that it will be fixed before then. I am also feeling as though my request is being stalled by Albany RV for one reason or another. Customer service is as much about communication as it is actual service. If someone could just communicate with me regarding the status and progress of my request I would be so grateful but that does not seem to happen with this company. I will never purchase from them again nor will I recommend them to family or friends. Instead of having 38 sales people bombarding you when you walk in the door perhaps they should hire 5 or 6 customer friendly, dedicated service people.
We worked with Tyler and he was great! Very friendly, personable, and most importantly, knowledgeable. Within a short time of being there, we placed an order for our travel trailer! Unfortunately, the logistics of an out-of-state sale caused us to cancel our order and therefore, we expected our deposit back. Long story short, Albany RV was HORRIBLE with handling this process. After 4 weeks of unreturned phone calls and false promises (from all departments: sales, finance, management) we finally just disputed the $1g charge with our credit card company. The dispute was resolved in our favor so we did end up finally getting our money back, but not through the dealership! So overall, a very good experience turned very unpleasant for us.
Just completed our 4th purchase from Albany RV and had the best experience to date. Our salesperson, Steve was knowledgeable, understanding of our needs and treated us like a valued customer. The delivery was almost flawless, all the staff accommodating and willing to take that extra step that made the process less of a burden and more of a beginning of a new adventure. I hope and expect a continued high level of service.
This place is very similar to the meat counter at the local grocery store, take a number and get you in and out as fast as they can. When it comes to their service department, good luck, my wife and I submitted a claim in the beginning of July and the problems have yet to be fixed. Our claim went through and someone came and looked at our camper, they said it would be two weeks and they would be back to fix what was wrong. Two weeks came and went then another week and another we finally called and were told that Steve the service rep for our area had retired and he never submitted anything. So we are still waiting, on top of it all we bought a 2017 Keystone Hideout which has a 1 year warranty and when we first reach out about service our warranty was still active, since Albany RVs lack of action, now one of the problems with our camper isnt going to be covered even though we purchased the extended warranty that they push and claim will cover everything on the camper. We will never consider them again when looking for a new camper or referring anyone for their business.

2022-04-18If I could give negative stars for service I would. For sales I would give them 5 stars. The sales team was very good and patient with how many times we switched between models we wanted to buy. Colin was great as a sales person. Would highly recommend him. Had some issues with the camper when we bought it which is warranty work and was pointed out and noted. Got paired with a service guy named Ted. Was supposed to get things set up for October November last year. Was still waiting on parts to come in when I called him during that time so was postponed. Didn’t hear anything for 2 months so called beginning of February and found out he was fired and was paired with a new advisor which was news to me. Never got a call or message. Stuff wasn’t fully ordered and my service fell through the crack. Finally had to deal with two managers to an appointment.

2022-06-20I wish I could give negative stars. RV One is the worst company I have never dealt with. Everything that comes out their mouths is a lie, if you can get through to anyone on the phone. When you go in to buy an RV, they are so nice and accommodating. They tell you anything you want to hear and promise you the world. However, if you change your mind, good luck getting back your down-payment. We tried everything and called the finance manager, the manager and the district manager and not one had the decency to call us back. We had to go back there to beg. forouour money

2022-05-05The sales end of this experience has been good. We had a salesman go above to find us what we needed because we needed it in a short span of time and it needed to meet certain needs. Now that the purchase is complete though....We have yet to take possession of the trailer. They are telling us they are awaiting a lien release except.....a lien release can be issued in a day. So weve paid them almost $20,000 but we cant drive the camper off of their lot. We own it and insure it, but we just cant have it. It seems we arent the only ones either. So now we wait, and hope it gets resolved.

2022-05-23I had initially posted a positive review after some work had been completed on my RV that I stupidly assumed was done correctly but it was not.I purchased my Class C motorhome from RV One in Buffalo but had used the service department at their Albany location as its closer to my home. For those that own an RV we all know these things are built with numerous build quality issues. I have a long list of things Ive fixed myself but fora few repairs I needed a service department so I went back to RV One. I took in my RV for a full vinyl floor replacement after my slide out ripped up the floor. RV one put the new floor in and adjusted the slide and that actually came out pretty good but they did leave screws all over the floor and failed to reconnect the plumbing to the toilet. Found out on the next trip when I hooked up the water and flooded the bathroom. I tilted the bowl forward so I could reconnect the water line in the back. The also claimed to have repaired a leak in the front cap under the factory warranty back in 2020. Turns out all they did was re caulk the trim piece underneath the cap and never addressed where the leak is coming from. Fast forward to now 5/2022 I brought it back to them to fix the same leak and they said its out of warranty and Id need to pay for the repairs. Why would I expect them to fix it right this time? Upon picking it up the work proposal was to simply replace the trim and caulk underneath!!! Again not finding or fixing the actual leak just plugging up where the water is leaking out. Im bringing it to an actual RV roof company and will pay to get it fixed properly. RV One and service should never be in the same sentence. Read the horrible RV One reviews here and last I checked there are over 60 better business bureau complaints against them. When you buy an RV you are attached to the selling dealers service department for the warranty period of 1 or 2 years. That would be enough for me to stay away from RV One. The first couple seasons youre working out the kinks in a new RV who wants improper repairs done that could affect the value of your RV down the road. Read all the negative reviews. I did read the reviews and made the mistake of buying an RV here. Lesson learned. Do your homework.

2022-06-13We went to Albany RV to look at a camper they had in stock after much research on the item. The camper was nicer than we anticipated and wanted to make a deal. We had a recently purchased RV that we wanted to trade in, and we knew we’d take a little bit of a hit on it. They offered us 12,900 for a 2022 camper. I laughed at our “salesman” who gave us this crazy story on how much they can only sell it for. The numbers he was giving us was a bit of a joke. We’ve been dealing with RV dealerships long enough and we have a clue on life and what things cost. We walked out. On our way home we stopped at the RV dealership that we purchased our current RV from and they offered us 6,000 more for our trade in. We still took a little bit of a hit with negative equity but we knew that to be the case. We’ve dealt with Albany RV before and we have had not so great experiences. The only thing that appeals us to this place is the selection they have to offer. My advice; know your numbers, do your research, make sure you are not being low balled for your trade in. We’ve bought 3 campers from them. Lesson finally learned. We will not go back!

2021-07-29Worst service I ever had at Albany rv and I bought 3 units from the strollo family over the years.I will never spend another dime on the company Wich is now owned and operated by rv retailers.Went to purchase a 2021 eagle series 312bhok put a 1000 deposit on the unit. Had to chase my sales guy Joey through email because he don’t have his own extension he uses teds extension. The finance guy Matthew he is a joke only works certain days and can’t reach him. When I went to take delivery and pick up my unit they refused to take the rest of my down payment. The unit was not new they sold it to another person before us and they hade it listed 3,000 over MSRP sticker price. Do not buy from here go to camping world or Alpin haus. You have been warned!!!!!!

2021-12-08My wife and I recently purchased a used Airstream from Albany RV.Our sales representative was James. He was very straightforward with any issues with the trailer . He gave us plenty of time to inspect the trailer and answered all of our concerns. We would highly recommend him. When it came time for our demo, we had Bruce and Harley go through every inch of the trailer and made sure we understood all the workings of the Airstream. Wonderful group to purchase from..

2022-06-11I am amazed at how much the management cares about their clients. They went above and beyond to make the sales experience 110% satisfactory! The manager Josh T, made it a very simple, no pressure, stress free buying experience. Thank you RV One Superstore! I will absolutely do business with them again.

2022-03-22I would highly recommend buying from RV One. Chase, John and Mike were awesome to work with. This is the first RV that my wife and I have purchased and they all made the whole process extremely enjoyable. Thank you Chase and John for all of your efforts to make this so easy.

2022-06-17I recently bought a pop-up camper from them and it was the worst buying experience I have ever had in my life. From the original sale in which they forgot to order features we wanted to not knowing where the camper was when they said it was delivered, to not understanding how the unit worked or how to operate. I was simply exhausted at the end and wont be going back.
