My family has had a great experience with Dr. Chu and the entire office staff over the past 5 years. Dr. Chu makes their office visits fun and relaxed so there is no stress associated with getting the kids there. He is extremely responsive in case of emergencies or off hour questions (we have had multiple). In each case, I heard back super quick and Dr. Chu made every effort to understand the situation and make sure the kids are seen as soon as possible. He also makes sure the parents are fully informed about any issues and takes the time to really explain in detail how we should be caring for the kids’ teeth. My children look forward to their visits (especially the treasure chest) and ask to go to the dentist all the time!
I’ve been coming here for three years with my two kids. Dr. Sinnarajah made both of them feel calm and comfortable. Going to the dentist was fun! Between the free toys, the fun glasses, tv screens with shows to make them relax, and fun character toothbrushes to take home, my kids didn’t even realize they were getting a checkup! (Parents are given an intro to pediatric dental health with a slide show and attentive q & a session.) My kids ask when they get to go back!
We could not be happier with our experience in this office. I was very concerned when I was told that my daughter had significant dental issues due to a past medical condition, but Dr. Chus knowledge, professionalism, expertise and care put me and my daughter immediately at rest. He performed a successful full mouth rehabilitation surgery when she was 5 and has been caring for her ever since. Dr. Chu is genuinely caring, gentle, interested and responsive to children. I have recommended Dr. Chu to a family who has children with special needs and have seen first hand how he makes them feel comfortable and confident. The entire office staff has a way of empowering children to maintain good oral health and feel good about themselves. I commend them for their professional high standards (its all about the patients!) and would like to thank Dr. Chu in particular for inspiring my daughter to want to become a dentist! Highly recommended!
I had to take a minute to thank Dr. Chu and the Rye Pediatric Dentistry staff for their amazing facility, patient care & expertise and comfort that they gave to my son Benny today. Benny had to have his tooth extracted today and due to Dr. Chus amazing bedside manor it was a painless experience for us all. Dr. Chu takes the time to explain things to the parents and patients, you never feel rushed.The office staff and nurses also exude a friendly and happy attitude that transfers to the parents and patients alike. My son was actually excited to go to the dentist and did not shed a tear while we were there or after. I cannot recommend Rye Pediatric Dentistry enough.
We have brought our three sons to Dr Chu for ten years now. His skills and credentials brought us to him, but his kind, caring manner & friendly, well-organized office are what keep us coming back every six months! Definitely recommend this practice for babies through teenagers.
My son is 7 years old and needed a ton of dental work. Dr. Chu and his staff were absolutely amazing! Dr. Chu knows children and was able to make the experience a positive one for my son and me and my husband as well! My son loves Dr. Chu and so do we. I have been in search for a good pediatric dentist for quite a while. I have never been happy until I met Dr. Chu. He is a bit far from my house but definitely worth the travel. He is extremely accommodating, outgoing and has away with children that is indescribable. Both of my daughters LOVE Dr. Chu and no longer give me problems to go visit the dentist. I am beyond happy that I have found such a fantastic dentist.
Dr. Sinnarajah is a wonderful dentist. She is professional, thorough, punctual and really puts my son at ease with her warm and attentive personality. Highly recommend, especially for children who are anxious about going to the dentist.
Dr. Chu is a progressive pediatric dentist, and takes a holisitic approach. He is thorough, thoughtful, perceptive and was able to quickly gain my anxious childs trust. He focuses on teaching you about dental hygiene, giving your children confidence & independence in their own care, and helping you find things in your home and daily routine that you can change to prevent dental issues. He also advises what to watch for (and what to do if you see it). There is a strong focus on preventative dentistry. His office is immaculate, warm & high tech (my kids watch frozen & mickey mouse during their cleanings). His staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. His hospital team is caring, supportive and attentive. Overall, a wonderful choice and I couldnt be happier.
My daughter was afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Paul Chu met with her and talk about dental care with his dino. Jessica immediately bonded with Dr. Chu and his interaction with her has made our visits to his office a great experience. Dr. Chu takes time with each patient; he talks with them, explains what will be happening and gets the children involved with their dental care. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul Chu for pediatric dentistry.
We are so happy with Rye Pediatric Dentisty. It’s such a warm and welcoming office for children and the staff are amazing.My 4 year old son needed a filling. He was a challenging little patient. Dr. Sinnarajah was absolutely awesome! She worked so well with my son and comforted him throughout the entire procedure. Dr. Sinnarajah is my daughters dentist and we could not be happier with the care and attention to detail she provides in treating her. She is gentle, kind, and so good with kids! She makes her patients so comfortable in the dentist chair so they think they are having fun and not being examined! My daughter loves her and frequently asks whenwe are going to see dr. Sinnarajah next :) highly recommend this practice!
Dr. Chu is the best Pediatric Dentist that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. His office staff is professional, friendly and caring. His office setting is comfortable, soothing and meticulously kept. There are many pediatric dentists that will say they specialize in treating children with ADHD as well as children that are generally fearful of dentistry. It is not true. In our experience Dr. Chu is the only Pediatric Dentist that can truly deliver on that claim. My children were fearful of the dentist when we first met Dr. Chu; based on past their past experience with several other pediatric dentists in Westchester and Putnam. By the second visit with Dr. Chu my children began fighting over who was going to see him first. He made them feel comfortable and empowered. My oldest children are now nearing adulthood and still enjoy their appointments. You cant ask for a more knowledgeable, caring and compassionate Dentist. He is a truly the best there is.
Dr. Chu and his staff are amazing! I cannot say enough good things about them or thank them enough. My two older children have had numerous dental trauma incidents and Dr. Chu has been a champion during all of them - super-responsive and always professional. Dr. Chu is a truly amazing dentist and scientist. He is extremely patient, knowledgeable and delivers the best dental care and education to all children with big smile. I work at academia/hospital so many years and he is the one of the best professionals with huge passion to patient care and promote the dental health to his young patients. Doctor Narmatha Sinnarajah and her team are Rye Pediatric Dentistry is truly exceptional, especially when it comes to first timers. I took my boys ages 1 and 3 to their first dental appointment with Doctor Sinnarajah. My 1 year old was intrigue with her demeanor and animation and had his exam with ease. My 3 year old was very anxious and needed lots of coaxing to sit in the chair, he was a challenging patient. Doctor Sinnarjah was very skillful and tactfully talked him into sitting down and relaxing. She is very knowledgeable, as a parent I admire most her patience, warm demeanor and the time she takes to listen to the parent as well as the patient. I highly recommended her and the team at Rye Pediatric Dentistry.
My three children LOVE Dr. Chu. He doesnt just care for my children, he cares ABOUT them - and they know it. My eight year old and three year old have had cavities and Dr. Chu explains the process to them in a way that they can understand. He shows them pictures of sugar bugs and tells them how important it is wash them away with brushing. My kids never complain about brushing their teeth and even sing a song about brushing away the sugar bugs while they brush. My daughter puts on the magic princess glasses and Dr. Chu plays her favorite cartoon while she is rewarded in the chair with princess stickers for everything she does to help Dr. Chu and his assistant - such as opening wide or holding still. She leaves the office feeling like she was in control the entire time and that she made great decisions to earn those stickers. My eight year old son knows that Dr. Chu has a great selection of super hero cartoons that he has never seen before. Everyone leaves with a treasure from the treasure chest at the end as well as a cool tooth brush, even my one year old. She heads right for the treasure chest when she enters the office.Dr. Chu knows kids are different and he alters his style accordingly. He meets us in the waiting area to help the kids feel more at ease and we all walk back to the exam room together. There is no stress in Dr. Chus office - The entire office staff shares the same love of children and passion for making each visit a happy one.
My six year old daughter is a patient of Dr. Sinnarajahs and I cant say enough great things about her. My daughter was traumatized by her prior pediatric dentist, and Dr. Sinnarajah was able to overcome my daughters fear of the dentist, and also replace some of the cracked fillings that were done by the other office. Dr. Sinnarajah is friendly and calm and puts children at ease. Her assistants are also very sweet. I highly recommend this practice for your children!
Dr. Chu and his staff are extraordinary. Our soon to be 4 year old has always been skittish when it came to going to see the doctor. His normal words are always..Oh Oh! daddy, dont want to be here. However, the very first visit, Dr. Chu was able to charm him into the chair and got him to stay still. I could not believe my eyes and I basically started taking pointers. I just cant describe it but the best way to put it is that when it comes to kids, Dr. Chu has the touch!! Dr. Chu even gave a preliminary exam to our 8 month old at the time to make sure his teeth would come out okay. That level of care, mixed with a cheerful disposition and professionalism is very very rare. Would not take my kids anywhere else. His entire team makes us feel like family. And lets not forget the toys my son always looks forward to getting when he goes to see Dr.Chu..just makes life a little easier. Thanks Guys!!
Dr. Chu treated my daughter after a traumatic experience at another dentist. Not only does she now have NO fear of dentists but she actually looks forward to brushing and flossing. Amazing! Thanks Dr. Chu!
Dr. Sinnarajah is a caring, knowledgeable and superb professional! My daughter had a complex case with multiple cavities and she received an excellent care from her amazing dentist and great staff. Now Dr. Sinnarajah is my sons dentist as well. I highly recommend her.
This dentistry was recommended to me by a friend and at first I really liked the ease of getting an appointment, Dr. Sinnarajah was really wonderful BUT she told me that my 5 year old son was going to need a root canal and crown. I wrestled with this and called her on many occasions to find an alternate solution as it was only a baby tooth. I did get another opinion after this, and he did not end up needing a root canal or crown. She said their policy was to save a tooth if it was savable, instead of pulling it. What was going to cost me upwards of $4,000.00 only ended up costing me $1,400.00. I would recommend the practice, but not if youre more conservative and dont mind your children getting crowns on baby teeth.
Dr. Chu is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend him. He made my daughter feel so comfortable, and also made us feel comfortable with the work that needed to be done. I cant say enough kind words about him.
We were told not to come back after violating their covid protocols (my wife just went to see how her daughter was doing so it was 2 masked adults in one room). I mean cmon - Its a pediatric dentistry - unvaccinated kids slobbering all over the place is basically their business model!
Great experience at Dr. Chu’s office! As much as my girl likes his warm and welcoming care, the staffs are beyond next level! Harumi at the front desk gives devoting and exquisite help for all the families visiting Dr. Chu’s office! Kids will instantly love Dr. Chu and his staff!
Before I brought my son here going to the dentist was worse than the peditrician. He would cry the entire time and needed to restrained to get through the dental appmt. Dr. Sinnarajah was patient and took her time. She set him at ease and he did not shed ONE tear...I was in total shock. Thank goodness I found her!

2022-02-19I could not be more grateful for Dr. Sinnarajah and her team. Last week my 8 yr old knocked his 2 adult front teeth out at the playground. Within an hour Dr. Sinnarajah was working on him to protect his nerves from damage. 2 days later she repaired the lost teeth with whatever magic they perform there... and today he looks good as new. This team is amazing and I am so grateful for their responsiveness, kindness and great work. These folks are phenomenal!

2018-12-21Our children have been patients of Dr. Chu for about a year. We had brought our 2 year old daughter to see him for an enamel issue. Dr. Chu took us in immediately to go over the issue. He explained to us all the possible outcomes of the issues our daughter was having with her teeth. He is hands down the most thorough dentist I have ever met. The office and his staff are amazing. He fixed the problems our daughter was having. As parents of small children, Dr. Chu and his staff gained our trust as parents and really kept us at ease during our daughters procedures. I can not say enough about him. Anyone seeking a pediatric dentist please look no further this is the BEST place to be. My kids actually look forward to their dentist visits. 2019-01-08Dr. Chu and the entire staff of Rye Pediatric Dentistry are amazing. My son has some issues with anxiety and had a very difficult time with having cavities filled by our family dentist, the vibration of the tools stressed him out and made for a very long and stressful experience, so our family dentist recommended Dr. Chu. From the first appointment through the next my sons anxiety about getting cavities filled have been changed for the better. Dr. Chu called me personally before the first appointment so he could get an idea of my sons issues, previous dental experiences, and even about what activities and characters he likes, which was extremely helpful. They took my son in and first showed him how to correctly brush his teeth, they offered him movies (Lego Ninjago and lots of other kid friendly options) to watch during the procedure and constantly praised him for his good behavior (the praise worked more to induce good behavior and calm) and gave him extra prizes for being so good. Everything about the experience was calming and positive. My son left the office every time feeling good about himself and never afraid or worried about returning. I highly recommend Dr. Chu for any child with even the slightest bit to major anxiety.

2018-08-26Dr. Chu & his staff at Rye Pediatric Dentistry have exceeded all of our expectations. They are patient, caring & extremely knowledgable. Dr. Chu educates the children, as well as the adults, regarding proper oral hygiene and care. From routine cleanings to fillings, he has walked all of us through it so that we feel comfortable. My children have been going to this office for about 5 years, after our pediatrician recommended Dr. Chu, and they still cheer when I tell them we are going to see him. No joke - they love going to their dentist and that makes me feel very confident about how they continue to care for their teeth.

2015-04-24We really love this practice. From the moment we walked in, Dr. Chu and his lovely staff made our 2 and 3 year old feel so comfortable. Their first dentist appointment went from being a source of concern for me to being an event that they actually thought was fun. The week after the appointment my son actually asked if he could go back to the dentist. I couldnt believe it!I also enjoyed learning how to best approach teaching the kids about dental health for the future and this has made the bedtime routine easier.Wed recommend this practice to everyone.

2017-02-25Dr. Chu and his staff at Rye Pediatric Dentistry are the best pediatric team I ever met. We started to see Dr. Chu after my family moved to Rye about a year ago. Since unfortunately all my three kids got cavities, we visited Dr. Chu kind of often. Hes a very outstanding professional. He got my kids cavities fixed with amazingly high-quality work and all my kids didnt feel much uncomfortable during their treatments . In addition, he gave me the best education about what happened to my kids teeth, what he did and how we should take care of my kids teeth in the future to avoid the further or potential problems. At the same time, Dr. Chus team are so caring and considerate. They communicate with my insurance company effectively to arrange the best treatment plan to maximize our benefits. Dr. Chu even referred me to an expert dentist for my sons special treatment. That doctor also did a great job with very reasonable charge, just as Dr. Chu always does. Now all my children feel comfortable for their dentist visits. Honestly, I feel for every visit were not only visiting a pediatric dentist but also an old good friend and his team!

2019-01-04I was so nervous about bringing my 3 year old to the dentist for the first time, but Dr. Chu and his staff made us feel like we were having a play date,all while inspecting and examining his teeth.. I have to say that the whole experience was such a positive event. Dr. Chu not only teaches kids about taking care of their teeth but he also takes the time to educate us parents on how and why we need to stay ontop of their oral hygiene.. I give Dr. Chu and his staff 5 stars all the way and will highly recommend him to all my friends..

2016-07-16I could not say enough about Dr. Chu and the staff at Rye Pediatric Dentistry! This was by far the best experience and encounter we had with a dentist. We were referred to Dr. Chu for my 18 month old who had continuous dental problems with his front teeth since his teeth first came in. His previous dentist had no permanent solutions and would just monitor on a three month basis. Dr. Chu was very informative and provided us with solutions. My husband had to bring my son to one of the appointments that I could not attend and Dr. Chu FaceTime me during the appointment. We were so happy with the overall experience, we had our older son (5 years old) become a patient. Our older son needed dental work since he was 2. We saw several dentist and nothing was done due to lack of cooperation and behaviors. We were told by several dentist lets try again in 3 months for almost three years! As time passed, his teeth became worse and it seemed like there was little progress. During the initial exam with Dr. Chu, he established a quick bond with my son through positive reinforcement, great interaction and a wealth of knowledge about childrens interests. My son even went into the back by himself and completed an exam and cleaning without any difficulties! When we got home, my son asked if we can go back to Dr. Chu tomorrow ( that never happened before - I usually would hear I hate the dentist. I am never going back while engaging in a tantrum). He was eager for his next appointment, he brought in some FNAF toys to show Dr. Chu. During the next visit when the procedures were being completed, I was almost in tears. I couldnt believe what I was seeing- my son was completely cooperative. All dental work was completed during one session because his behaviors were amazing!!! The staff reinforced all appropriate behaviors throughout the visits (even in the front office) with stickers, preferred videos, praise and minecraft toys! Dr. Chu has a great skill of building a positive relationship with the child before they even sit in the dental chair. It shows that he is compassionate and caring when he placed a follow up phone call in the evening to see how my son was doing. Billing and appointments were completed without any difficulty. Office staff did a great job working with insurance companies to make sure everything was approved. My only regret is that we didnt go to Rye Pediatric Dentistry earlier - we could have avoided wasting so much time, money, stress, anxiety and fixed the problems right in the beginning before it got worse. Rye Pediatric Dentistry is a good fit for my children. I wish there were clones of Dr. Chu and his behavioral methodologies for other pediatric medical professional areas. 2018-12-20This past summer my husband and I were given some pretty scary news that our 4 year old would need extensive dental surgery. After an awful experience at another pediatric dental practice, our pediatrician from westmed rye, as well as several of my husbands clients referred us to Dr. Chu. My pediatrician raved that he is the absolute best there is and that our little girl would be in the best possible hands. Dr Chu and his staff over exceeded our expectations. He spent hours on the phone with us explaining everything to us in the most precise detail. He sent my husband and myself emails to touch base, check in on our daughter and responded to any questions or concerns we had. He treated us with the utmost kindness, respect and compassion. He knew how scary this was for us and always helped to reassure us. Dr Chu also spent hours of his time helping us battle our health insurance who were unfortunately trying to deny coverage for our daughters extensive hospital dental surgery. He personally called my insurance himself and fought until they covered it. Marguerite, the offices front desk supervisor, was also in constant contact with me leading up to the surgery to make sure everything was in place. She answered my many phone calls and emails and was also patient, kind and beyond helpful. The day of our daughters surgery was one of the scariest days of our life. Our daughter went under general anesthesia for 3 long hours. Dr Chu, as well as all of his staff, were absolutely incredible. He held our hands and comforted us while we cried and promised us he would take excellent care of our little girl. Its not often you meet a doctor like Dr. Chu, a doctor who treats you with such empathy and grace. He never made us feel like it was our fault and saw two very scared and concerned parents in front of him. Instead, he took this opportunity to help us learn how to better care for our daughters dental hygiene and preventative measures. After her surgery he frequently called to check in on her and gave me post surgery advice on how to care for her. Our daughter loves going to the dentist now and is much less fearful. All of the office staff, as well as Dr Sinnarajah, are just wonderful. Going to the dentist is no longer a dreaded experience for our daughter instead something she has actually come to look forward to! We are forever grateful for Dr. Chu and the amazing care he has provided. He is by the far the best there is !

2018-05-01My son hates doctors and they made him have the best experience ever! Dr. Sinnarajah was amazing. She was calm and patient; she never made the patient feel like they were doing something wrong or even the parents. Her goal was just to educate and let me be aware of everything. I never knew how important baby teeth were until she educated me. She gave me options on how to approach things with my son’s teeth and let me be the one to decide. I never felt like I was a bad parent doing something wrong or that there was only one way of doing things. Their patience and care for their patients is unreal—unless you experience it yourself you wouldn’t understand how amazing the doctors and their staff are. They have a million different toothbrushes and fluoride flavors and more to try to meet every kids needs and wants. They try their best to make the experience for the little ones as positive as possible while educating parents and examining the kids. Man! I wish I had a dentist like this when I was younger!!
