After a horrible experience at another Subaru dealership near my home, I became anxious about the entire car buying process. I was immediately brought back to the last time I bought a car where I felt basically harassed into purchasing a vehicle and then spent hours at the dealership while the deal got put together.There was none of this at Rye Subaru! My salesman David completely redeemed the experience for me and made the car buying experience a pleasure. He was genuine and listened to my needs. I left there with the right car at a very fair price.
I visited another Subaru dealer closer to home, but did not have a good first experience. I decided to try Rye Subaru instead and am very glad I did. The sales team was great ,and made the process of ordering the vehicle I wanted very easy. They kept me informed while waiting for the vehicle to be delivered and the final delivery was a breeze.
Pulled in to the receptionist and the service person everyone was professional and helpful. I had asked Glenn the service person I was dealing with to call me if there were any issues beyond what I had brought my car in for that day call to tell me that they did find a couple of things that needed replacement which I truly appreciate it.And my car was ready even with the additional work close to the timeline he gave me.When I went to pay the bill he went over everything that was done. He was patient with my questions and professional in his manner.
I originally planned to get the loan for the car from another location. However, that place fell through and Josh and Casey helped me see the rates were better through the bank and lower than where I originally planned. Josh was able to get me the loan on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. We also spoke alot throughout the process when it came closer to my car coming. He helped me to make sure all the pieces of the puzzle were together. I was determined to get the car Monday of Columbus Day weekend. I did! Very Happy with it!
A very positive experience at Rye Subaru. I decided to lease a Crosstrek and at a time when the market has been very limited with inventory, I was surprised how accommodating this dealership was. Cannot recommend it more. Ask for David Nausch! No pressure, straightforward, and high quality customer service.
I brought my car in to have body work. While staff are very busy (reportedly down staff as are many businesses these days) they are courteous and accommodating. They even drove my vehicle and placed it in my garage while I was out of town! I found the estimate for repair very reasonable and I found my car in a much cleaner condition than when I dropped it off. Special shout out to Paula Mejia who is most knowledgeable about insurance matters and was ably assisted me thru the claim process.
Rye Subaru is one of the most personable dealerships that I have been to. Neil, the Sales Representative I worked with, was attentive, thorough, and made me feel catered to. Compared to other dealerships, they really make you feel like a star client. I highly recommend Rye Subaru!
Oil change and tire rotation was efficient, timely and completed within about an hour. Waiting room was pleasant although the coffee machine was not operating. It did seem a bit pricey for the work done, but it was the first service on my preowned vehicle so I figured I should go with the dealer this time.
Rye Subaru has had my car for over 1 week to resolve an issue with an airbag warning light.I have an extended warranty. that I purchased from them. First, Rye Subaru had not entered my warranty in their data base, and couldnt find it, and told me they couldnt order the part until they confirmed the warranty. They found the warranty, and ordered the part.Then I was called that the part was in, and I made an appointment to bring in my car - in about 10 days. (ok - so Im driving around with an airbag warning light for 10 days or so...obviously Subaru doesnt take safety seriously) . Other than the appointment date, all ok so far.So, brought the car in. Expected a 1 day turn around. Nope. Rye Subaru told me that they actually had ordered the part without confirming the warranty, and that Subaru Corporate needed additional testing of the car before the new airbag could be installed. So, a week passes. And they keep my car. Yes, I did get a loaner - but not convenient.I called the Service contact several times for a status update. The service contact did not return my phone calls. I finally left a message saying that there was not point in leaving a message, as the Service contact did not return calls. When I eventually did talk with him he told me that the service associate working on my car was out, and he had no update. He also tells me that Subaru Corporate does not respond promptly, and that is part of the delay.What is disconcerting, is that if Corporate Subaru feels that Rye Subaru has not done proper diagnostics, are Rye Subarus technicians well trained? Or, is it just because I have an extended warranty, and they have no interest in working on my car.Im debating on not calling Rye Subaru for an update, and see how long they are going to keep my car without working on it, or providing an update. So, right now, a very, very, very unhappy customer. If there were minus stars, Rye Subaru would get them. The really sad part is, I think Subarus are great cars. Honest communication from Rye Subaru - thats another question.
I dropped off my car for a recall repair. After dropping it off, I had a family emergency and needed my car to get home right away. I called the dealer. Instead of taking my car out of the que - they had a loaner car ready for me when I arrived taking the stress out of the emergency situation. I was so grateful for how I was treated and how quickly they recognized what I needed. I returned the loaner the next morning to pick up my car. Again, they were so kind and thoughtful asking if everything worked out okay. Thank you Rye Subaru!
Buying a car from Rye Subaru was a pleasure. Im handicapped and my current aides dont drive. I chose a car online and they brought it to my house so that I could see it and took my car back for evaluation. Once we settled on a price, they took care of all of the paperwork and delivered my new car ready to go.. all of this within a week!I just had my first service appointment at Rye Subaru, and ,again, a good experience. I made an appointment to have it done while I waited. The waiting room was pleasant and the time for service short.
Aah! I purchased my Subaru Forrester 2 weeks ago from Rye Subaru. I searched online and spoke to a few dealerships - by far this was the best car buying experience. From the time I sent my inquiry online to the signing of the paperwork was a pleasurable experience. I would definitely recommend this dealership for your next Subaru purchase. Anthony Smith!! Absolutely the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. It was our first time looking at Subaru and we were very comfortable from the moment we stepped into Rye Subaru. Anthony was extremely knowledgeable not just about Subaru but about how it compared to other cars we were looking at. His friendly demeanor made us very comfortable to ask him questions and expect honest answers. You should be in the market for a Subaru and you should be asking for Anthony Smith when you walk through the door to guarantee an honest, fair, and easy atmosphere to purchase your new vehicle. This one was for the little lady but when it’s time for my upgrade I’ll go visit Anthony again for a great deal and superb service.
I bought my first new car (21 STI) from Rye Subaru. Anthony in sales was absolutely AWESOME to work with, as well as the rest of the staff there! I truly felt as though he was just as excited to see me drive off in my new car as I was, and the whole experience was truly a pleasure. I cannot recommend them enough - even with a Subaru dealership being a few minutes closer to me than this one was, Anthony & team were far and wide the clear choice for me.
I shopped at Subaru dealerships all over New York and in Western CT and this dealership was hands down the best to work with. I purchased a certified used impreza for my son. The price was fair, the sales staff was helpful without being overbearing. I would highly recommend and would definitely buy from them again the next time Im in the market for a Subaru.
Service department and sales department were excellent. The car radio- screen is poor when wearing sunglasses. Also volume on navigation should be adjustable not automatic with radio volume. The visibility on screen is a safety hazard. You should replace the screen colors especially on the right side to increase visibility when wearing sunglasses.
Good day, I went to get my vehicle serviced 17 Forrester. I called in a problem (ac fan making a motor type of noise when turned on) i have the Subaru extended warranty that covers almost all parts and mechanisms of the car. Upon going in on my scheduled appointment on Friday 8/27 they gave me a run down on how the warranty works. I left the car with them and took my reserved loaner car. On Monday I went in and payed about 140 dollars because they said the noise was coming from a dirty air cabin filer so they changed it (value 30 dollars ) and labor 100 some odd. Immediately after exiting the premises i noticed the noise was still there. I decided maybe it would subside after a few hours of driving however it did not for days to come. I called back multiple times and asked to speak to both the gentlemen who helped me jose lopez and the assistant manager Paula I believe. I also emailed them at length detailing the problem had no been fixed. They never returned my call nor even acknowledged the email. Im a Healthcare worker and commute to Brooklyn everyday. I believe rye Subaru decided to milk the 140 charge so that they would get 2 visits out of this 1 problem that wouldve most likely been covered fully free of charge under my extended warranty.
The repair was completed as promised. However, the customer service is VERY lacking. When the car is required for a lengthy period, there is no transportation to take the owner home, or given a loaner car. There are no amenities to make the wait pleasant. The car was returned dirty - no attempt to clean it.I was planning a purchase of a new car this summer, and was planning on a new Subaru - I dont live near the Subaru service center, and therefore, it is difficult to get back home when leaving the car, I will consider other options.Our other car has much better service.
It has been well over a decade since I went to a dealer to buy a car so I was quite nervous about the process.My son found on the internet a great deal on a barely driven 2018 Subaru Impreza hatchback at this dealership, which he noted had great Google reviews. We went last weekend and met with Josh and then with Gary on the financing, etc. There was no hassle or pressure at all and they were very fair, honest, friendly and respectful. I wanted to trade in a 20 year old Suburu Outback in rather poor physical (but good running) condition mostly just to not go through the hassle of selling it myself and while they were pretty honest about its low value they never questioned taking it and did all the work regarding title, sales transfer, etc.The whole process was quite smooth and did not take long at all. We picked it up yesterday (they actually had it ready the next business day after I visited but I was not free to get it for awhile) and all was great.I would totally recommend this dealership to friends and family. One of the best car dealerships Ive ever done business with.
Had a wonderful experience with Rye Subaru. The sales staff Neil and Casey were totally accomodating and gave as much time as needed to hold to our agreement, answer any questions and spend all the time needed to show me how to use everything in the car. The survey proportedly sent in by me is totally not true. And we want to post this review to dispel and correct the misinformation in that survey.
I am a older woman and I was treated like a queen by our sales man David . This young man explained everything in detail, never rushing me with my questions. What he told me he delivered it. David understood my situation and worked with me and my husband . I was so fortunateto have him as our sales man. He was very efficient.
Always greeted warmly outside when I pull my car up. Everyone who works inside is friendly and efficient. You get a sense people enjoy working there together and it makes you feel good as a customer. As for the services on my Forester, zero complaints there. Anything I need done I make an appointment for, hassle free online. Then I drop off my car and wait for the friendly call later in the day to come pick up.Now, during COVID, its open and clean inside with barriers and other safety measures in place. Masks are worn and its easy to conduct your business safely. You do not have to delay any necessary car service.
Initially when I got the vehicle, I was happy with my Subaru Crosstrek. However, when one of my close friends looked at my leasing contract for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and I told him that Anthony Smith raised his monthly lease offer from $275 to $381, he made me aware that I got ripped off on the lease offer. Looking back, taking that offer from Anthony Smith was a big mistake and I will never lease another Subaru from Anthony or Rye Subaru ever again. They take advantage of people who need a vehicle and the customer service is very sub par.
I recently purchased a Subaru Forester at this location and was very satisfied with the service. I made an appointment and the salesperson greeted me at the door. Lester Li was friendly and attentive and I never felt pressured to finalize a purchase. I told him exactly what I was looking for and the price range within my budget and he provided great options, never trying to upsell. This is not the first vehicle I’ve purchased from a dealer, and prior to making this purchase, I visited 8 dealerships. This was by far the best car-shopping experience I’ve had. Also, great coffee!
Annie at Rye Subaru is by far the best sales representative I’ve ever had to deal with. She is truly the best! Highly recommend Annie for any sales related concern. Honestly I’ve dealt with other sales representatives at Rye, and if it weren’t for Annie I would NOT use Rye Subaru at all. Thank you Annie!
Great car buying experience. Was able to buy my new 2021 Crosstrek Sport while driving between Exit 2 and Exit 5 on I-287. Had already priced this vehicle at 2 other dealerships and David Nausch was able to give me a substantially lower price in only 3 exits. Met him for the first time a few minutes later and signed the paperwork at agreed upon price. Car pick up was stress free as finance and extended warranty pitch was in a non pressure environment. Dealership was super clean and all employees were wearing masks. Time is money and I spent less time buying this car at a great price than waiting in line at bank drive thru. The service assistant was wonderful. She was professional, thoughtful and helpful. I had to make three calls in total from the beginning of my appointment to the end. Each time I called I had difficulty. I was either disconnected or shuffled between people before anyone picked up. In one call my call was disconnected twice! Other times I was on hold for long lengths of time or shuffled between people. If your service associate wasnt as good as she was, I would have given a very, very poor rating. I did get a loaner car however and that was good.
Had a great experience working with Anthony Smith and Garry over at Rye Subaru. I walked in Memorial Day weekend, with no appointment. Anthony was the salesperson I worked with. He advised me to consider/test drive the Subaru Forester Black edition that was in their lot. I immediately knew this was the perfect compact SUV for me (the size and style were the most appealing factors.) I didnt make a decision the day of the test drive and was not hassled or pressured into one which is always pleasing to a potential customer. After further research and working with Anthony, my dad and I finalized our decision on the same car I test drove a few weeks earlier. I came in for signing and Mike, the general manager was welcoming and invited any current or future questions or concerns. Later, Garry went over the financial information and optional maintenance/tire coverage. Again, this was a no pressure environment and there no hidden secrets in signing the papers. Finally, Anthony went over the specs in my new leased car, which was very informative to make the most of the vehicle. Overall, I would HIGHLY suggest this Subaru dealership if youre looking for a safe and reliable vehicle with a accommodating and friendly team facilitating the purchase.
Rye Subaru is fantastic! I have always gotten good service and in a timely manner. Even now with the COVID situation, they are very accommodating and I feel safe there. The service reps are wonderful, caring and thorough. The sales department is equally wonderful. Kudos to Annie Amorasano and everyone in the service department!
Great experience! I approached Rye Subaru online and quickly got a response from David Nausch. I knew exactly what I wanted (2017 Forester with Eyesight safety system ...at a competitive price), and I was under a time constraint so needed to move pretty fast. David zeroed in on 3 or 4 options, and the info...including detailed pricing proposal... was in my inbox within the hour. I bought my car the next day. Fast processing, reasonable price, great attitude from all concerned. I met several other members of the Rye team (head of sales, business office person, the gent who evaluated my trade in, and even the owner of the overall business). All were professional, constructive and upbeat without any pressure. I had already done some comparative shopping, both online and at another Subaru dealer, and I found the price I paid to be just what I’d hoped.
This is my second car from Rye Subaru and the second car I’ve bought with Anthony Smith. If you want the best price on a Subaru in Westchester, Rye is the place to go! Recently visited Rye Subaru looking for a second-hand car for a family member. Last year I bought a new car here, and the service was so good... well it just made sense to go back. The salesman this time was Lester Li, and he got what I wanted straight away. No up-selling, no hard-sell, just friendly and competent. Very happy with my purchase and the service.

In addition, the salesman, Lester Li, was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful throughout every step of the process. This time we went for the complimentary update of the Star Link systrem per a letter from Subaru. Fortunately we took the letter with us, because we were told that, since the warranty had expired, the work would not be complimentary.. Once this was straightened out all went very well, and the work was complimentary.
Dealing with Lester Li was a dream. This was my first experience at a dealership and the experience exceeded my expectations. Mr. Li patiently answer all my questions and took his time explaining the contract to me. I would highly recommend Rye Subaru to all my family and friends.

Very efficient service! Special mention goes to service advisor Jose Lopez who explained to me the service options for my car but did not push me into purchasing one or the other. He was respectful of my decision, and I appreciated that. Highly recommend the dealership.
I had a good experience at Rye Subaru. I called to schedule a recall issue and have an accessory installed. I got on the calendar, the appointment was confirmed, it started and ended on time. We arranged after-hours pick up, and that all went smoothly. Price was as agreed.
They deserve more than five stars. 🌟 I went online to rye subreu website yesterday and was helping my dad look for a good deal on a pre-owned car and I saw this car online and we went to look at it today. we went to test drive it and check it out. rye subreu sales rep Josh Glahn was amazing. He was very respectful and very knowledgeable. Josh was very patient and answered all of our questions and concerns. most of all compared to most car dealerships they do not push you and sale pitch you they are willing to work with you. if you are looking for a used or pre owned vehicle I highly recommend rye subreu ask for Sale Rep Josh Galhn. Great selection and reasonably priced for vehicle value. one of the best friendliest and nicest and most hontest used/pre-owned dealship. They work with you and are not pushy. 👍😀❤❤
I brought my mother in with hopes of her leaving with a new car that day. We left another dealership and having such a bad experience, I immediately called the nearby Rye Subaru and made her an appointment that day. We had no idea what we were getting into! We were greeted by the kind Sales Manager, Casey, as soon as we walked through the front door. We already knew then we would leave with a new care based off the warm first impression we received. Casey brought us to our Sales Consultant, Jimmy Telesco, and ensured us we were in good hands. Jimmy is, hands down, the best sales consultant we have ever dealt with. Many of times, you deal with a lot of sharks who are trying to sell you something you dont need. Not only was Jimmy extremely genuine and polite, but was so helpful with helping my mom which car was best for her. We test drove a couple of cars and she signed a lease that same day! We really cant thank Jimmy enough for all of his help and making this process a quick and easy one! My mom is finally driving the car of her dreams!
I recently purchased a 2018 3.6R Touring model Outback from Rye Subaru. The purchase was fast, easy and pleasant and the staff was excellent. I would like to thank Mike, Kristen, Gary, Gregory and Doug from parts, for making this purchase a pleasant experience. All of you were very professional and courteous. A special thanks to Kristen for prompt and thorough communication. I will gladly recommend Rye Subaru to both my friends and to anyone who is in the market for a new or used Subaru. BTW, I live in Connecticut and took the train to the Rye, NY terminal which is about 150 yards from the dealership. This was easy and convenient. Thank you again Rye Subaru for a pleasant experience.
After some rocky experiences at Rye Subaru service, Eric came and really saved the day. When many things needed to be fixed he came up with a clear plan and made sure we were taken care of. He communicated well and kept me in the loop. I will return if he is handling my claims
From the moment I walked on to the lot and Lester Li showed me the car I was interested in... I never felt pressed, stressed or anxious about my first purchase from a dealership. That is definitely a credit to Lester and the whole Subaru family. If youre in the market for a Subaru this is the place to go!
A family member referred me to Rye Subaru and Im glad they did.I base places off how I feel and I felt very comfortable with the service, the options given and the people! Derrick especially who worked with me answered all my questions, explained and laid out everything clearly. No pressure what so ever. Derrick even helped me save money on my car insurance! Anthony Smith and the whole staff made buying my new Subaru Forester an easy, fun, and exciting experience for my daughter and I! I cant say enough good things about Rye Ford and Subaru, they really make you feel like family. We absolutely love the 2021 Forester its much better than our old 2004 Subaru.
This place was outstanding. I walked in knowing I wanted to lease a specific car model. They didnt try to upsell me. They must have sensed I had already made up my mind. Good on them to read their customer properly. Super efficient and outstanding customer service. I am from out of state and needed to pick up the car at a later date, arrange for car registration in another state etc. Derrick was fantastic at following up to get my insurance taken care of and organizing for Josh to come pick me up at the airport to bring me back to the leadership to pick up my new car. Josh was great too. Punctual and courteous (nice manners go a super long way any time but after a flight, it was so nice). Derrick had everything set up for me once I got there with Josh. Finished up the paperwork, Josh spent time showing me the ins and outs of the car and I was on my way. Excellent dealership. I deeply hate buying cars and I found this dealer to be no nonsense. I highly recommend them.
I purchased my first Subaru from Rye Ford Subaru. I was not planning to do so, however, I was impressed with the salesmans knowledge of the vehicle and honesty about both the vehicle I was inquiring about, as well as the entire buying process. Jimmy Telesco was the salesman and I would strongly recommend meeting with him and discussing your automotive needs before shopping at a different dealership.
We just bought our first new car ever! Our salesperson was Neil Downing. When we started looking for the Forester we wanted, Neil was very helpful. He told us a lot about the cars, and the company in general. He let us go out on a great test drive, and there was NO pressure. (We were reminded that Subaru cars really sell themselves.) After a long and thorough search, we could not find the color and options package that we wanted. So then it became time to order a new one- a 2017. They made it really easy, and the car arrived in about eight weeks, as expected. Every option, and every detail are exactly what we wanted. We were offered 0% financing on the day we went to pick it up, and everyone was polite and efficient. I regret that I dont remember the name of our financing agent too. We are so happy with the car and with the dealership experience. These folks are REAL, and easy to deal with. Thank you, Rye Subaru.
I was leery of going to Rye Subaru before other dealerships simply because they were located in Rye. I thought that I would feel out of place. I couldnt have been further from the truth. As soon as I walked in (I had made an appointment with Veronica), I saw my name on the appointment board and immediately felt like I was expected, and welcomed. Mike, the sales manager was warm and kind. While I waited for my salesman Jimmy T. to come to the showroom, I was invited to have a warm beverage in the luxurious showroom. As soon as I met Jimmy, his friendly, upbeat and positive demeanor immediately put the rest of my fears at ease. He made me feel like I was already a Subaru owner, even before I was approved for an auto loan- which I knew would be chancy. Never once was I made to feel less than because of my lower than good credit score. When meeting with the finance manager he was honest but fair, and helped me to find a deal that was comfortable for me to live with. I left knowing that my deal and information would be in good hands and that after the weekend, I would be a pre-owned Subaru owner. After many emails and phone calls, Jimmy took care of a couple of things that I had asked him to look into for me, and when I returned to the dealership spent some time making me feel comfortable with the controls on my new car. The finance manager took his time with myself and my 18 year old, explaining everything to us, helping us negotiate extended warranties and even giving my child a credit lesson as a young adult just starting out. He even negotiated a lower interest rate for me. I highly recommend Rye Subaru to anyone in the market for a new or pre owned car, and definitely see Jimmy. Hes a great guy and does not push you. He is just knowledgeable about selling good cars!
All car salesmen should be like Neil Downing!!! He is honest, professional, answered all my questions promptly and he has integrity. For the first time, I left a car dealer lot feeling good and happy about my purchase. Best car buying experience I ever had! Rye Subaru is lucky to have him as their employee!Went to buy a car at Rye Subaru twice this year and twice I was more than 100% happy and satisfied. Neil Downing was beyond excellent!!! I had two bad car events that happened this year and thankfully the shopping for a new car was smooth, easy, and great thanks to Neil!
This was our second dealership that we dealt with that day and the experiences were night and day. We were greeted with a hello as we entered, and immediately offered help. The process was as pleasant as buying a car can get. The sales people were professional and allowed us to test drive several cars. There was little pressure in the sales process. Can I say that we got the best deal ever? I dont know, but I felt the process and negotiations were fair. Thanks to Mike P. and Anthony for making my car purchase as smooth as possible.
Every person I met with and had the pleasure of speaking to, were extremely knowledgeable, warm, and understanding. They showed inordinate patience with me as I was having great difficulty in making a decision regarding my purchase- having nothing to do with Subaru! He immediately offered a car matching exactly what I described without pushing me to something else. We recently purchased a used car from Rye Ford and the experience proved to be exceptionally pleasant due to the amazing customer service of the Used Car Manager, Angelo. There were a few issues with the car that the Ford dealer could not handle and they authorized us to take it to the manufacturers dealer closest to our house. The repairs necessary were paid for by Ford and ultimately all problems were taken care of to our satisfaction. They REALLY stand behind their products. You can TRUST this dealership for all your needs.
I was interested in changing to a car that had a good safety record on snow but was reluctant to give up my old car that I loved. Neil Downing recognized this and was happy to answer all my questions and tell me all about the Impresa. However, at no time did he pressure me to purchase so he gave me the time and information I needed to make an informed decision. I recently leased a 2017 Outback from this dealership. After researching cars for days and dealing with all sorts of delays and frustrations I walked into this dealership and was immediately approached by Gregory, who answered my questions, didnt waste my time, and quickly set me up with a test drive. The car was great, as the reviews said it would be, and when I got back our negotiations were quick and easy. I got a much better deal than the final offers I received from nearby Subaru dealerships and in a week Gregory called to say that the exact car I had requested had arrived. He gave me a quick tour and sent me on my way and even called early the following week to check in. This is definitely the place Im going to first when our next car lease is up.

I have had back to back great service visits last year for my Subaru Outback being greeted when I pulled up to the service area, stepping into the customer service area greeted with a smile, telling me how much everything will cost, just steps away from Metro North to get to work and picking up my car anytime at night even after hours to drive home my perfectly serviced vehicle. Here’s the bottom line...if you don’t get and/or follow the service requirements needed for your Subaru or any car by the dealership with original parts because you chose the cheaper run of the mill service shop option its going to cost you $$$$$ in the long run. It’s best to do it right the first time.
I had an excellent experience with, Nanci Briganti the sales consultant, who helped me decide on the particular car I wanted. I decided on the Outback 2014. I wanted the ice silver which she was able to deliver. She is patient and understanding. Last year my husband bought an Outback from her. Since he was so pleased with her and the reliability of the car, I knew I would buy a Subaru . Gary was very helpful in the financial aspect.
I had a horrible experience with a salesperson and his manager at this dealership. Signed the proposal to lease a car and at the end (after waiting 3 weeks) I had to get my deposit back because of unprofessional business practice. General manger was nice to give me a call back and explain the situation and putting blame on Subaru manufacturing in Japan, but I cannot trust them anymore, One Star is too good for them.
Just bought a 2014 Outback from Rye Subaru and was extremely pleased with the experience. My sales rep was Neil Downing and he was extremely professional and helpful throughout the process. He took the time to show us the options in the different cars as well as helping us look at different financing possibilities. I recently bought a 2013 Forester and I cant express how happy I am with the car itself and with the people I worked with there. My sales rep was Neil Downing and he was fabulous in helping me to be able to get the car I wanted and stay within the payment range I wanted to make. Neil worked very hard in trying to make it happen for me and the end result is that he did. My car is everything I expected and more....I cant say it enough...Im so happy. This is for sales only. I ordered a car to my specs and found that if you want to get the lowest price go directly to Mike Poznanski, the Sales manager at Rye Ford Subaru. Mike, is fantastic! The sales agent I had used when I bought it retired and is no longer there, but I can still recommend Anthony. Anthony is always smiling, and anytime I have an issue Anthony will come outside and happily assist me with my car (technical difficulties with a very hi-tech car, so no need to call the Service dept) even though he is in sales and not service. From Anthonys willingness to share his time and help me, for no compensation, I can say he would be who I would recommend as a salesperson, both because he really knows his stuff and because you can see he likes to help people. I am super happy with the continued support from Mike and Anthony whenever I have an issue, and from their tremendous customer service **after the sale** I can highly recommend them.

Place is a total ripoff...I was conned into a lease with a high down payment plus a trade in. My father was ill and tried to reverse this unfair contract and was berated and verbally abused by the apparent General Manager there Mike. Was never able to reverse the deal but thanks to Subaru’s poor workmanship of new cars, Karma and The Lemon Law he had to take that car back. Got all my payments back plus the down payment plus the value of my trade in!! Life comes at you fast. Comes to show don’t ever underestimate someone and treat people like you want to be treated. Never go there again and will always tell my victory story about that place to anyone I know.

Quick in and out. I checked with other various other Subaru sales offices in Westchester, looked at reviews, and as a result of my experience my family are buying now also. The test drive was perfect and informative. The sales assistants were kind, professional and I was treated as Subaru family. No time wasted. Friendly approached by all staff. Professional appearance and the showroom is impeccable. Mike P. is excellent, his product knowledge for Subaru was phenomenal. Derrick G. professional also, very nice man. Derrick elevates any stress customers may have, and Joshua my test driver was simply awsome very helpful. This dealership is taking advantage of the world wide chip shortage. They tried to charge me over $2,500 above the sticker price for a new 2022 Subaru Impreza. I spoke with the Manager Lewis and he told me that’s what every Subaru around the area is doing which is completely untrue. He did not even try to keep me as a customer and quickly gave me back my deposit. Please stay away from this dealership and there shady services.
I brought my car into the service center for a BRAKE RECALL & on the way home, after it had been serviced, my BRAKES LOCKED while on the entrance to I-287. I had to get out of the car because Roadside Assistance could not locate me via GPS. I tripped and broke my leg. I had to have 2 surgeries, couldnt walk for months, incurred medical expenses, and lost wages. I will never be able to walk without pain.They offered me $1000 after my Attorney contacted them, which was so insulting, but we asked for more, but my Attorney never heard back.I didn’t want to do this publicly. All I wanted was to be fairly compensated for and to acknowledge their part in what happened to me.Their Customer Advocacy Dept is unable to help because Rye Subaru told them they settled with my Attorney, but there was never a settlement.

Most people consider buying or leasing a car challenging and an unpleasant task. My experience at Kingery Rye Subaru has been nothing like that but excellent. From the time I walked in I met with the manager and staff that have been friendly, pleasant and competent. They were informative, professional and the most important not pushy or persuasive but knowledgeable and helpful. They all work together as a team in a timely manner so all the necessary paper work was processed fast without long wait time. My family has been doing business with Rye Ford Subaru sales and service for decades. I have recommended several friends that were in the market for a new Subaru to visit the showroom. Mike Poznanski the sales manager and his team have always taken excellent care of everyone I have referred and welcomed them like they were family. The service team is always accommodating and I couldnt imagine ever going elsewhere to have my car serviced.
We had been to this place exclusively for at least two years until our most recent visit that caused Rye Subaru to lose its credibility. Specifically, we needed a replacement of the right front bearing which caused noise while driving over 40mph. After an assessment, Rye Subaru recommended (1) replacing both bearings---which, allegedly, was their practice---even if they had diagnosed that only the right front bearing was broken, and (2) fixing the right front wheel they found bent.When we wanted to have one bearing fixed, they wanted to charge us almost as much as the cost for two, and explained that the quote we had got earlier was incorrect. We went to a different shop which concluded that the wheel was not bent and fixed one bearing at a much more reasonable price. After that, the noise was gone and the car was fine.After this experience, we will never go to Rye Subaru again. If you dont have an option to have your car fixed at a different place, I recommend at least that you seek a second opinion about the problems before following Rye Subarus advice and pay whatever they would like to charge!This is in response to the reply from Rye Subaru. Before we went to a different place, we had contacted Rye Subaru, attempting to resolve the issue. I was told that the manager was not available and promised that he would get back to me, which never happened.
I purchased my first ever car from Nanci Briganti, not only was she helpful figuring out the car price, tax, and all other prices but she was really patient with me. I at least went to her 3 times before saying yes to the perfect car, test driving and asking her questions about everything else, she was really sweet and understanding, exactly what I was looking for at a dealership. I wanted someone that can be easy to talk to and have a mutual understanding, unlike Stamford Subaru, which was one of the most horrendous experience. I loved the professional attitude and generosity of this dealership. Besides Nanci, even the financing department was great at figuring out what I needed and what fit best with me. I am in love with my car, and the experience of purchasing my car from them makes it even better! I have referred so many of my friends to go to Rye Subaru over other dealership and all due to the quality of their customer service and the dedication that they put behind each of their customer.
This place was wonderful. When I was looking for a new car for myself I went to quite a few dealerships and everyone of them tried to push me in one direction, even Porche. At first I was against Subaru, I thought the brand was just for laughs. But when I test drove the Subaru Forester, I liked it quite a bit. My sales woman, Annie, gave me the space to decide whether I liked the car or not on my own, no pressure. I ended up buying that Subaru for a good price, I would definitely come back for seconds!

Both Sales managers Mike and Phil were professional and courteous doing what they could to help in the process, got me a fair appraisal on my trade in and provided some good conversation while stuff was getting processed. Last but not least Gary the finiance Guy, crunched the numbers to what was best for me, truely grateful. Overall it was a such a great experience. This is my 3rd purchase from Rye Ford Subaru and it’s experiences like this are why I come back.

Sean was able to find me a car that just arrived a week earlier to their storage lot that wasnt even on the system yet! Got the car the same day, would recommend braving the tolls from NYC to pay a visit here!
I am careful to always make an appointment ahead of time. Then one Sunday I ended up with a nail in the side wall of my tire. I knew I needed new tires so I took a risk and just showed up on Monday morning. I was treated wonderfully. They took me right away and kept me informed about tire availability and wait time. It was a very positive experience.
I had my subaru worked on from this place back in October after Toyota of new rochelle said nothing was wrong after months and months of me reporting stuff. They took it here and Rye Subaru found the problem and got it fixed as soon as possible.I had to call today to find some information and they were so nice on the phone! I truly wish I came here to buy my car instead of where I went. If I was closer, I would 100% make you guys my go to shop for work!
Just bought a 2014 WRX, walked in and felt like I was being welcomed by my family. My sales rep Annie was knowledgeable of the car and was able to price it out to fit my budget. Even the sales manager Mike P. helped me out to make the car fit my budget. I was able to get the best deal on my trade in with Rye, and the best price on the WRX. I tried all local dealerships including the one where I bought my first Subaru. Rye had the best deal, and the nicest staff without a doubt. Ill be their customer for life. They dont push accessories or other options on you, they sell you what you want and what you need.
I leased my Legacy from Rye Subaru. My experience couldnt have been better. Jimmy T was my sales man, and boy was he knowledgeable he answered all my questions and went really in depth about the engine and all the great features like heated seats and USB plug. Jimmy was well dressed and smelled nice it was a pleasure to have a 10 min test drive with him. He even offered to buy me a coffee as we drove by he local Starbucks. The sales experience for a 2018 Dealer Certified Pre-owned Subaru Crosstrek was fine and what was expected.The problem is, I have had the car for less than 1 month and driven less than 1,000 miles, the engine light is on and the Eyesite System has failed. I made a service appointment at this dealers service department and I look forward to a positive experience.The service department accommodated me in a professional and expeditious manner.
Second time bringing in car for a problem with the radio. First time it was fixed, lasted about two weeks, then same problem occured again. Made the second appointment for when a loaner car was available because they kept the car all day to fix the first time. Got a confirmation email about the appointment and that a loaner would be provided. When dropped off the car, was told by service advisor that there were no loaners available. Told him that I needed a loaner and that the email said that I was getting one. Service advisor then called enterprise to get me a car and said that someone would be there in 10 to 15 minutes for me. 45 minutes later someone showed up. A simple drop off process turned into an over hour an a half of my time wasted. I have used the service three times and each of the three times the car was not ready when promised. I hope that there are no more bugs with the car so that I dont need to use the service here.
The worst attempt at a car buying experience I’ve ever had. I wish I could put zero stars. After shopping around, I put a $500 deposit on a new Subaru on Oct 17 with the understanding from the salesman that I’d have it very early in November for a trip we had planned for Thanksgiving. More than a week later, I passed by and figured I’d stop in for an update. I was told the car was expected into the port in Boston on Nov 13. I started to worry a bit. Another week later I stopped in again and was told I would be dealing with another salesperson as my original salesman was on “medical leave” which I later heard was untrue. Again, I had to go there to try to get any info about the status of my car - nobody could call me. I again stopped in Nov 16 and couldn’t get any solid answer as to when the car would arrive. The sales manager was nothing less that arrogant and downright abusive. He had no problem using profanities in describing the way they receive from Subaru about the incoming cars. It over a month and I still no idea if I’d have the car that I wanted to take on a trip less than a week later. I couldn’t believe how he treated me as a customer. I left there appalled. I went home, got on the internet, found the exact car at another dealer. I drove to that dealer, was treated very well, and put a deposit on the car and drove the car 2 days later. I would’ve like to buy there as it’s the nearest dealer to me but I’ll never walk in there again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
My car buying experience at Rye Subaru was something I wont ever forget. My sales agent (Annie) gave me confidence that I was going to get the car I desired with absolute certainty. She conveyed all the necessary info I needed to know and walked my through my first car buying experience like a caring mother would. Although halfway through the deal I feared I wouldnt get to drive home my brand new 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, due to limited credit history and insufficient funds upfront for the initial down payment, my sales person found good fortune when I was able to produce just a little more to meet the dealers bargain. Now Im a very happy and proud Subaru owner, but it wouldnt be the case if Annie and her folks at Rye Subaru werent tenacious enough to secure my loan approval through the bank at a reasonable interest rate. Its been nearly a week now and Im still excited about owning such a quality piece of art. Picked up my car with a full tank and Im still at 3/4 tank. I made the right choice from start to finish and Im glad!

I brought my car brought in for 2 recalls which was fine they did what they needed to do. Although when I got my car back the strip lights I installed under the seats of my car were unplugged and the wires were just left on the floor. I thought I would get my car back exactly the way it was before I brought it in at the least. I guess not.

When it comes to Subaru these guys really know their stuff . Very professional staff. They make the buying process very easy. I really appreciate the low pressure sales approach. They made me feel very comfortable from the time i walked through the door to when i picked up my car. It hard to find a dealership that matches the quality and the reliability of a Subaru.
I engaged five Subaru dealerships and Rye definitely stood out as the best. The general manager Mike, and the saleman Tom, didnt seem interested in selling me a car I didnt want, they Mike led with a price for my WRX that was better than the others. They also gave me absolutely no problem or push-back when after two days I wanted to cancel the extended warranty that I had bought. It was $1,400 and it would have been a nice chunk of change in their pocket, they told me just to come by and sign a fresh contract that excluded it. They clearly make more profit on return customers than squeezing money out of a single purchase.

I bought two new 2011 and 2013 Subaru Forester cars from the Rye Subaru dealership. The purchase was based on the excellent reviews of the cars on Consumer Reports. Both cars have performed excellently. I cannot say the same of Rye Subarus post-sale customer service. The service providers have been very rude and unhelpful. I would recommend taking your Subaru vehicles elsewhere for service.

Nice place, went here to test drive a car over the weekend. I couldnt decide between two models and we sat down for a few minutes to figure out the pros and cons of each. They patiently walked me through all the features during our test drives and they would point out things like blindspots, how it handles in weather, and other things! Had some flexibility with negotiating prices, and they called a few days later to check up on how happy I was and if I had any questions. Ask for Kristen, she was my saleswoman and knew a lot.
If I could give zero stars I would. From sales to service Rye disappointed at every turn. We purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 Outback in August from Neil Downing. From the moment we picked up the car we should have known that we were scammed. On arrival they notified use that the car was in the shop getting a belt fixed that they noticed at the last minute. When we inspected the car we realized they didnt even bother to detail the car (which was promised when we put the deposit down two weeks before). I wish the problems stopped at the detailing but right out of the gate we had issues with the alignment as well as the brake indicator light. We brought it back...again...and they promised they fixed everything. At this point we were beginning to think something was up so we took it to another Subaru dealership for a full inspection. Unsurprisingly they found that the tires failed inspection, the brakes were almost failing inspection, and a service bulletin to replace a belt had not been followed. We called Rye Subaru and were placed in the hands of Angelo. Thats where things went from bad to worse. He immediately had an attitude and when I asked for the 152 pre-owned inspection report, which is supposed to be available at anytime, he promised he would get it...only to call back later and say their service department lost it. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. We are still dealing with Subaru Corporate to get our issues resolved and our car in proper working order and it has been 2 months since we purchased the car. You would think that after all of these issues they would at least have good customer service...NOPE. The only person working there that has any idea of how to treat a customer is Jamie...she is amazing.

I never felt pressured by her and she gave me very helpful information that I needed in order to narrow down on which car I would choose. If anyone is looking for help here, I recommend Nanci!
I will start with the positive. The showroom has a small play area to keep the kids occupied while shopping. Most of the staff was friendly. Stephen, the salesman seemed like he wanted to help, and maybe he caught some slack from Michael, one of his managers, ultimately could not find our car. He seemed to try to make things right, so i wont put him down. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully I am not wrong.The negative and the reason for this review.Michael, the sales manager or business manager ultimately took a sale away from the dealership, the salesman (Stephen,) and almost Subaru in general. My short conversation with him was the most shocking conversation that I have ever had with a “professional”. He was rude, obnoxious, and basically told me to take my business elsewhere when I explained my disappointment on the way our “deal” was being handled. No remorse, no care, no empathy. Basically told me to go to hell in his own words. Rumor has it, we were not the first to be turned off by this person (customers and employees), we won’t be the last (although I hope this review helps others). His actions, dealings, and disregard for his the dealerships customers should be looked at by his superiors. Maybe they condone it, who knows.They say Subaru cars sell themself. If that is the case, Michael succesfully UNSOLD the car from under one of his salesmen’s feet.My recommendation. See Angie Harrsch at Westchester Subaru in Elmsford. She was kind, very personable and she found our car, honored the failed deal/price from Rye Subaru, and in 4 hours of walking in the door, we were on the road with our new Subaru. It didn’t feel like a “sale or purchase” we felt like we were talking to a friend. The whole dealership was happy and friendly.I will write a positive review on another post for the other delalership.
Every time I come here, I have a great experience. Nancy is the best! Very honest and sweet. She always takes good care of us! This is the second Impreza Ive leased and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The 2017 Impreza is awesome. Nice upgrade from my old one... she also sold my mom her car too, so we all love Subaru. Always good service here. Safe, reliable, AWD car and great deal!

2022-04-16An amazing place to buy a Subaru. The staff was friendly and they worked with me to help me find the car I wanted at a fair price. I only wish that the dealer was closer to where I live so I could service my vehicle there. If you are looking to buy a Subaru this is definitely the place to buy one. 2022-05-20I went to check why the auto on and off light was on. There was nothing wrong with the car. Apparently it just gets triggered from time to time due to tinted windows. The experience with the person who checked me in was good overall. Fast service. Coming from a different type of brand, I can say that their waiting area needs improvement, it looks boring and there’s not much to do while you wait for your car. They can at least provide their customers a free car wash like every other dealer does to make customers feel like their car was really taken care off.

Very politeAnd had everything ready when I got there from the keys and plbusinesses. test drive right down to paperwork when I bought it. They went over the car with me and showed me all the functions.There is something to be said for Mom and Pop owned buisnesses.

2022-05-26Nice people, but all the things I requested on the service ticket for what I brought my car in for wasnt even done. Prices were higher than written, my coupon was not used and I found out that after driving only 6K miles with my certified pre-owned Subaru, all 4 brakes need to be changed. This is a joke. Apparently they can sell you a car where the breaks are almost done, as long as its within a specific percentage for re-sellability. I plan on contacting the dealership.Again, the folks in the service center seemed nice, but I felt like it was the exact reason people dont like to deal with car dealerships for service.
