Went to pick up some island food, from my home town
This is the best place in Albany NY to find a wide range of Caribbean grocery products. Owner Charlie and his wife are nice and courteous to customers and well loved by the local community.
Only place in all of Albany can I find this rare, exquisite and all natural delicacy!!
Family run. Very convenient to shop for the staple diets from the West Indies. All the flavor of the tropics, here locally.
Being West Indian it helps that I can get product at the ready, so close to where I live. Charlie and Sandra are a joy to have in the community where there are well respected and doing a great service for us all.

Surprisingly wide variety items from throughout the west indies. Heavy on Trinidadian and Jamacian items, but we found djon djon, which was a delightful surprise and a few other hard to find items in upstate New York. The people in the shop were polite and very helpful, they can tell where you are from based on the products you ask for!
The true authentic west indian store in the capital region. I can assure you if its not there the owner will assure you that he will get it for you.
Picked up some irish moss and mangos. Owner is very knowledgable and personable. I will be back soon! Oh oxtails looked big and juicy!!!

Pretty good pizza shop. A bit expensive for my taste however even with the coupons. Love their fried chicken though, esp the wings.

Im a regular there, but the other day I brought a friend who does not know the culture well and he left feeling like family; like everyone else does.
It was suppose to be 5 stars...very polite owner and he showed me what I was doing wrong in what I was making.
The gentleman that serves the meat was very disrespectful,asked him to cut the meat little smaller is remarks is if I dont have a knife at my house.

2022-06-25Our first time going here was a great, friendly, customer oriented and well catered to experience. The person in store engaged with us about our needs, was very jovial and helped us find what we were looking for and told us about things they have that we may be interested in. We got everything we needed and more. Very happy with the experience and prices. Highly recommended. Should have taken pics for review but didnt think about that at the time. Will get pics next time as were surely going back.
