I passed my road test on my second try and I owe it all to Freddy and Sheryce! They were welcoming and reassuring. They listened to my concerns and were patient with me. My confidence was to the ground when I first failed my test, and now thanks to their techniques and dedication, I am a confident driver and I passed my test with flying colors. I took the package with 10 lessons and it was my first time to learn how to drive. At first I was so nervous but Fredy really helped me along the way. I got the hang of it after 3-4 lessons. Thankful to God for this driving school, I had one of the best driving instructor, I could not tell the difference between the brake and gas, Freddy the instructor was very patient with me, kept me calm behind the well, took my 5 hour with the Sheryce and she was very kind and generous.

Honestly if I could rate 10 stars I would. These instructors are very helpful. I didnt really have too much experience with driving. I took 5 lessons and passed my road test the first try. I definitely recommend this driving school. They are going to help you so much.

Great Great Great Place to go if you want to learn how to drive. instructor is great at helping you learn everything that you need to know to get your license. They are good at working with you on days to schedule lessons and thanks to them I passed my road test on the first attempt ! Couldn’t appreciate them more. You need to go here! I Booked the 10 lesson package which included the 5-hour course as well as the road test. The School was accommodating when it came to scheduling my lessons. I’m an overwhelmingly anxious person and the driving instructor (Freddy) is incredibly patient, funny and kind; he broke down each lesson in a simple to understand way. Even when I was crying in the car and wanted to give up Freddy was patient and understanding, for me that was above and beyond his responsibilities as an instructor. When it came time for my road test, I was adamant I would fail and Freddy assured me that I was knowledgeable and prepared to take and pass the test. I am now a licensed driver thanks to Safe and Sane driving school! I will be recommending this driving school to every non driver I know! Thanks so much Safe and Sane! Sorry for being a cry baby 😹
This gotta be the best driving school in Yonkers. If you want to get good at driving this is the place to come. Freddy was an amazing at teaching me how to drive. I had no experience and he was able to get there to pass my road test. So therefore this driving school won’t let you down trust me
Some great teachers! So helpful in breaking everything down, making sure you understand before moving to the next thing, and encouraged any questions. Their patience, kindness and funny jokes helped decrease any anxiety and nervousness I felt. Also, I found it soooo helpful to practice driving all around the city. It really helped build my confidence. This is a really great driving school, and that being said I passed my road test!! Totally recommend this school!

I am giving five stars to Safe and Sane driving school for several reasons. I have had a fear of driving for many years having failed my road test in my early twenties. This past year I decided to try again and was able to successfully learn how to drive with my instructor. He helped to ease my fears of the road and gave me a full refresher course on the rules of the road and driving. I successfully passed my road test today and I am now a confident driver and I will be recommending Safe and Sane Driving School to others. Really an amazing school. I tried out two others and failed my road test twice. I decided to give Safe & Sane a try (I took 5 lessons) and passed my road test! They’re all extremely patient, kind, and thoroughly answer all your questions. I learned so much. Definitely will recommend them to all my friends and family.

Awesome driving school! everyone is super nice and friendly. I took my road test yesterday and PASSED!👏🙌 😁I didnt need to take driving lessons but Freddy went over a few things with me before my road test. He gave a lot of good tips and advice. I was super nervous, but talking to him hepled calmed me down. I would recommend this place 100% for sure!
I got my license with this school about 2 years ago and if I could do it all over again I so would for all the laughs and great times I had while learning to drive was the best experience I could ever have! Before coming to this school I was nervous cause I never driven a car before and Fredy made me feel confident and made sure that I was ready and comfortable behind the wheel while of course breaking any barriers with funny jokes and great laughs. 2 years from then I still want to go back and take all my lessons over! If you are looking for a driving school, this is THE one! My journey with the Safe & Sane Driving School began before COVID-19. Sheryce and Fredy are professional and kind-hearted people that I have been honored to have met.I chose package 2. I was a beginner driver and was fearful of the roads as I was hit by a car a few years back. However, Fredy was very patient and guided me through the roads. He replaced my fear of the roads with confidence behind the wheel and the roads.I had my scheduled road test the week that Governor Cuomo paused NYS, so I had to wait for my road test to be rescheduled. Sheryce always let me know about the updates that the DMV was announcing and also about my rescheduled road test. I very much appreciated her attentiveness, as is her demeanor, yet even more so during this unprecedented time. I always felt in the loop of things.I am happy to say that I am officially a NYS licensed driver!! It was all due to Sheryce and Fredy! I wish you all new drivers Safe and Sane journey. The BEST driving school in Yonkers! I had absolutely no experience and was nervous but after taking classes with Fredy and Sheryce I was able to get comfortable and passed my road test the first try. Sheryce and Fredy both are super charismatic and give really helpful tips. They provide you with a comfortable environment, even when you make mistakes they are still super encouraging, which I am so thankful for when I was a nervous driver. I loved this place. Best place to take your lessons and road test in Yonkers hands down. I get crazy anxiety and nervous when taking tests but with Fredy especially I felt the most hyped up and confident about my test and I ended up passing. This is a small business. They only have 3 instructors. Very bad attitudes. I would not recommend anyone to get driving lessons with them. When you own a business, the street ghetto should be out the door and should act properly and professional. Fix your attitudes !!!
Amazing driving school. I only took 5 lessons with them and passed my road test on the first try. They really truly care about the students they teach they make sure youre comfortable behind the wheel before they start preparing you for your road test. They dont just throw you into anything. I have taken my road test twice and taken lessons from American Auto and failed miserably.... This last time I took lessons with Gloria and Freddys driving school and I passed. Not only did I pass my road test but the techniques my instructor taught me were very helpful and made me feel comfortable with driving. I have always been a very nervous driver but when my instructor was done with me, not only did he instill in me the safety precautions of the road but I also found the confidence within myself to drive. I would highly recommend them to any individual who is looking to get there license and drive safely!
Safe and Dane driving school was one of my best experience ever. The first time I went for my road test I did it with Perlas driving school. I played more than 300 dollars for 5 lessons, the five hour course and I still failed. I thought it was my fault until I went to Safe and Dane driving school. Freddy, his Hector and Secretary is absolutely the best. The 5 hour course was hands on the entire class was engaged and she teaches from not just the traditional 5 hour with the old video. She mixes it with the new and filled in all the blanks. Safe and Dane gave me the confidence to passes my road test and I did.!!!!!! Extremely satisfied and will refer others!
I had no driving experience prior to signing up and was nervous to get behind the wheel, but Freddy knew how to make driving a learning experience, without making it overwhelming. I passed the road test on my first try and can say it was all due their classes and great teaching. I highly recommend to anybody whos just starting or even just trying refresh their driving skills.

I came to Safe and Sane Driving school with nerves the size of an elephant.1. After already failing one test with a horrible driving school in the Bronx Gun Hill Rd, (naming no names) They made me feel calm and was very attentive to what my goal was for myself and driving.2. They were very professional during all interactions.3. Fred!!!!! Freddy! He is an AMAZING instructor, very patient, attentive, quick to correct what you did wrong and made you correct it right there and then. He’s laid back which makes your nerves melt away. I traveled all the way from Long Island city Queens on public transportation for my lessons and road test because of these excellent reviews. Freddy made me feel comfortable and encouraged behind the wheel and thats whats most important. He knew all of the things I needed to tweek in order to pass! The prices are great and if I had to do it all over again I would ! I recommend this school 100 percent ! 5 stars!
There are no words to express my gratitude to such an amazing driving instructor! Freddy makes you feel at ease, is very knowledgeable and makes your fears non existent! My 16 year old loved his sense of humor and made her feel super comfortable in every lesson! He’s instills confidence in all his lessons! This mom now feels fully confident letting her 16 year old drive her monster truck! Lol! (Minivan) although she learned in a little old hoop tie! Lol! I highly recommend safe and sane driving school for those first timers who have had zero experience behind the wheel! They are very well organized, Sheryce is super nice and accommodating! Freddy was always on time as well! Priced very well compared to other places and my daughter passed her test on her first try! FYI, he’s got some tricks under his sleeve! The best driving school in Yonkers. I took 6 driving lessons and my 5 hour class here. Sheryce is great at teaching the ways on the road for your 5 hour class. She stops during each video to explain it more throughly which gave me a better understanding. Freddy makes you very comfortable during your lessons so you will never feel awkward. Great guy! Great school, Instructors are on point, not only do they assess your driving skills they make recommendations as to what is needed. Fred Snr. is the Gem otherwise know as the TURNS SPECIALIST, of course you will and MUST perfect his turns. As a result the examiner commended me on my Turns. Fred Jr. is also another Gem, the three point advocate, parallel parking, lane changes, intersection and not by any means least Sherrie the secretary. All a great team. I recommend this driving school 100%

Great driving school overall. Originally had a problem with my steering of the wheel but Sheryce and Mr. Freddy helped me fix that problem. Very positive learning experience. I recommend this school if you want to start driving, they will work around your schedule and continue to work with you until you get the driving right. 5 stars and also cheaper than most driving schools with similar packages.

This school is just the best. They took me last minute for my road test and didnt have a problem with it at all. Fredy was my instructor and was calm and cool to have as a driver , I had absolutely no problem with him. I actually prefer to drive with him then most people. In overall they are better than the other driving schools example like Pearls Driving School. I also cant complain about the prices either they are cheaper from my experience. I recommend anyone to go to Gloria & Fredys they are the best
Took a few classes and had to wait a few months before I could take my test, do to covid stopping everything. I took one more class with safe and sane just to make sure I was trully ready for the test. Due to their expert teaching skills and humor to ensure the learning drivers are calm, less nervous and more comfortable with taking the seat beind the wheel. I passed my road test on the first try. This driving school helped me become a more confident driver. When I first started, I had no experience at all, but the instructor just let me drive and learn as I went. No lectures, positive attitude and a lot of mentoring. I just passed my road test today in Niagara Falls and I can honestly say that this driving school really helped me out! Their Parallel parking and three-point turn techniques are perfect ;) Out of all of the driving schools in Yonkers, I recommend them.I do advise for students to practice outside of just taking lessons. Youll learn more about the road, but thats just with every driving school.Nonetheless, the Gloria & Freddy Driving School knows what theyre doing!

I cannot complain. My instructor was hilarious and it was always a nice and easy drive. He made things less complicated. Although I had previous experience, he clarified things even more for me and made me a better driver. He would pick me up in front of my house at planned timings and we would drive all around Riverdale. He even showed me a trick with parking. I recommend this place because they also use there own car for the driving test and they have great packages to choose from.

I can safely say that I would not have passed the first time without the help of this driving school. My driving instructor, Fredy, was always principled, yet light-hearted when I made mistakes. I felt encouraged during every driving lesson and I never went through a lesson without laughing. The Safe and Sane Driving school gave me an enjoyable experience and I would not be the liscenced driver I am today without them. If you want the best chance of passing the road test on your first try, I recommend the Safe and Sane Deiving School without reservation.
Freddy wanted me to write how amazing he is, how good looking he is, and that anyone would take him out if he were single, but no. Lol, he’s a great teacher and really does take his time to teach his students. Sheryce is also amazing. Everyone there is chill and does their absolute best to help everyone pass. I passed on my first try! Definitely recommend this place and gonna miss practice!

What can I say.... Freddy and Sheryce are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Always professional and always going above and beyond for people. They are always available to help and answer your questions. As a mother of a new driver, they were able to help me navigate through my fears and help navigate my daughter through her fears and doubts. Honestly the best decision Ive ever made! After years of trying to get a license I was finally able to with this school. The Staff/instructors are more than just kind and respectful, they cater to what you need to work on with a positive environment that makes you feel like youre capable of achieving what you need. If u want to guarantee that you will pass ur road test definitely go to this driving school!! They are so professional, serious they teach you step by step with easy way, and they don’t use their phones during the class like the other teachers! Great experience with safe and sane driving school. Took my road test and passed on my first attempt. The staff/instructor were amazing. Very encouraging and they really cared about me passing the road test !
So to start, they allowed me to set up a personal package that was convenient for me, with the classes I needed and the car. They set up the dates I wanted at my convenience and the driving instructor even thru in a free lesson before the exam. They have a good positive energy and try their best to instruct in a fun, digestible, easy to understandable way. Full recommendation! :) PS I passed first try.
Great instructor. The car, an old Toyota Corolla, needs some work to be done. The brakes are extremely dumb. The car needs tire alignment/rotation. The accelerator is beyond sensitive and unpredictable, unless you accelerate hard in the first place. I drove three other, but well maintained, cars and they all drive MUCH easier. It does teach you to be better with the pedal though. I suggest taking the road test on a car youre comfortable with, NOT the instructors car (unless the instructors car is the only car youve driven).
Soo let me start by saying that FREDDY IS HILARIOUS!! & Sheryce is the best when it comes to scheduling when its best for u. i had little to no experience driving so u could imagine my nerves when i got behind the wheel but its literally a judge free zone. theres a method to his madness, in the very best way possible. i took my road test for the first time and PASSED!! SO pay attention when he teaches and youre guaranteed to pass. i totally recommend you take driving classes with them. HAVE A SAFE AND SANE DAY!
Passed my road test today I had a good experience with this driving school. I took a package and was very statisfied with my instructor. he was extremely patient and encouraging. I was so nervous at the beginning but he help me overcome my fears on the road. At the start I had a huge problem w/ turns. but the techniques I was given helped me sooooo much. I took my very first road test without any professional instruction a few months ago. How did I do? I failed miserably. So I decided to take lessons with Gloria & Freddy Driving school and I just passed my test today! They are very thorough with their instruction and they have fool proof techniques for parking, turns, and broken U-turns. I am very happy with their service.
They arent so much a driving school, as they are a car rental, I mean its still great for practice. The instructor is usually on his phone, and tends to randomly make to stop so he can say hi to people. The thing I hated most was sometimes the instructor would bring his kid to sessions. All that being said I would still recommend the place, because the practice really helps.I would give a higher rating but the constant bickering on their part to be rated was somewhat annoying, also I know they will be upset when they see a low rating.😂
Before Freddy & Glorias Driving School, I used thought I knew hw to drive and that i was ready to take my test without any help. But, when i started my classes with my new instructor which I didnt want to take at first, the lessons and positive advice they gave me helped me alot with my driving skills. In fact, I just took my driving test today for the first time and I passed with no problem because I felt secure. They are really nice people and know how to talk to you and are very patient and Im very thankful with my instructor to be so nice and helpful and be with me every step of the way
Best experience ever. My teacher was Freddy. Mah cool. It was easy learning how to drive. What i like the most was like if you was doing right he wont tell you anything, but then when doing wrong he would tell you and explain to you why. Very patient. In the office very nice. I love that they are aware that sometimes things come up and they work out schedules. They are very flexible. If i could give them more starts i will 100%. I will recommend this place to everyone. I was totally disappointed at Gloria and Freddys driving school. My instructor was late all the time. When I made mistakes in the car he never corrected me. All he did was sit in the car seat and do nothing. On top of that his car was in such bad shape. Inside of his car was dirty and had an awful odor. I had to press really hard to get his car to move. Cars behind me would honk at me because the car would not go any faster. Since then I have joined another driving school in my area and it has been a much better experience. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone. For better service go somewhere else.

I failed my first driving exam, I was so discouraged; however, I do not give up. I looked up reviews on Safe and Sane and found Fredy! Fredy was able to immediately identify my errors and correct them in as little as TWO lessons! Today I took my exam again ... I was soooo nervous; however, he made me feel confident and I PASSED with confidence! He was so nonchalant and confident that I was going to pass that it made me feel at ease. Thank you Fredy, for building my confidence; for correcting my errors; and for having such a great personality overall.

My son just took 5 lessons here. The instructors were very professional and courteous. The DMV dropped the ball with my sons road test appointment and the school made it right by having the DMV promptly rescheduling a new appointment. I can’t say enough about this school. Very formal and fun. I learned a lot and passed my driving test on the first try. This is a no judgement zone and the driving instructor is very friendly and funny. Would highly recommend this driving school.
I did not have bad experience but the way they want people to pay before a lesson and you dont get a refund if you have to cancel is ridiculous. One day I was on the road and saw their car with a student driver. Now I know student drivers make mistakes, but the student did not signal when changing lanes and couldve caused on accident so my father beeped his horn. The instructor, Freddy, who was my past instructor proceeded to yell at my father, screamed at the top of his lungs, and they sped off. On top of that I noticed the girl and Freddy were not wearing seatbelts...talk about safe and sane.This happened a while ago but keep in mind that this school is teaching future drivers. I did notify the company about what happened and I hope they addressed it.
From the 5 hour class to the road they were super helpful. Car condition is good and the inside is neat and clean. I only took four classes and I felt more than ready. Got my license with little effor. I highly recommend this driving school. You would get your money worth.🚗👍🏽
The best driving school in yonkers. Coustomer service was top notch, sheryce did her best to work around my hectic schedule and managed to get all my classes in before my roadtest. I was dissatisfied going to this driving school. I felt like they did not help me enough to get me my license. I signed up for a driving lesson package almost 3 months ago. My driving instructor was not as good as what the reviews here claimed the teachers were. I got the feeling like the teacher was not doing his job right and this is why I ended up failing my road test. I dont even know if I want to take the test again. Even the testing lady had an attitude problem. Wish I had never come here to begin with. This school really let me down. Bad instructions

They could do better. the price is high for the services they provide and the car they use is in really bad shape. I took two classes with Freddy and he spent his whole time watching his phone instead of instructing me to make sure I was doing the right thing. In another occasion he honk the horn to say hi to his friend while I was driving. The day of the road test it was worse because after we got to the road test site he spent the whole time speaking on the phone and texting instead of giving me tips of what to look out. Not to mention I paid 80 dollars to rent their car for the road test and instead of them to come and pick me up at my place , I had to go to their office. Nonetheless, he is a friendly guy but as a instructor I would not recommend him.

After going with merys and failing, I was recommended this driving school and wish it was my first choice from the beginning.Took classes with Freddy jr, he corrected all my mistakes and saw what had me fail, in the first class. Passed with a few points on my test but it doesn’t matter. STILL GOT MY LICENSE !!!

This school was very bad to me. They wasted all my money! The driving teacher said I made too many mistakes to get my license. Still I dont know why. I thought I was ready to get my license but I guess they were ready to get my money. I hated the car I was using and its was one of the reason why I failed the road test with them. The driving teacher does not take a shower and smells very bad. The road test took over a month. This wasted my driving time. They did not want to help me. Its all there fault why Im taking the bus to work still.

It was good i really dont understand why people are talking all this ish for i had no driving skills what so ever my mom,step dad or uncles had no time for me i got a job for a little while and then ade money to pay for the school fredy was on time with me never smelly he is a cool and relaxed person.......you guys who talk ish about the school are just mad cause you didnt go with the mentallity of passing the only down side to this was being late to the road test but im glad for that cause i was able to see other student drivers and i felt good and i passed. im glad i went to gloria and fredy driving school and ill bring my kids to this school thank you for your time fredy.

Took the 5 hour class here in the summer time and never got my certificate. Had to take the class somewhere else just so I could take the road test. I was excited about taking lessons here, but after the way they behaved I went somewhere else

Jesus!!! I called on Wednesday to confirm about the 5 hrs course. That was 3 days before. I took the day off, and today I came this place and it was close. The door has a note “sorry there is not 5 hrs course today” Really?? How can you make a business grow up when you do this to the new customers. I lost time and money.
This place is good Freddy was my teacher and Sheryce there theyre awesome I had the 5-Hour course with Sheryce and the five driving lessons with Freddy they have more packages available but that all i needed to pass Freddy one time drop me off 5 minutes early and I didnt really complain about it just told him about it and he gave me my 5 minutes that he missed the previous day i didnt really bother me Friday it was just my girl told me youre here so early lol but yeah thank you guysBy the way my package was 320$Theyre $10 cheaper than any other place in Yonkers I guess its a win-win theyre good and theyre $10 cheaper lol I passed with a 25 score it was just cuz I was a little bit nervous it wasnt nothing else Freddy taught me everything I had to know

These people are rude, mean and have no idea how to run a business. I called them for five hours class. The guy on the phone was very rude and hang up the phone during the conversation. When I went there @ 9:50 A.M. for 10:00 appointment, they were closed. A guy was sitting in their car and I tried to talk to him. He did not rule down his window but with his hand singnaled me to wait there and left. What a poor business.

Not worth the money. They dont always come on time when you need them. The car that i was using was in bad shape and smelled bad. I felt like I did not learn enough at this school witch is the reason why i failed my road test. This school wasted my time...

I signed up for the 10 lessons package, and passed my road test on my first attempt with them.I failed my first road test with a different driving school and it didnt have the family friendly atmosphere when teaching new drivers. He never once yelled at me or got annoyed. Always was supportive and caring. 2022-06-21I passed my driving test on the first try and I have Freddy to thank. He is amazing. His dedication and patience is highly appreciated. He made me feel as if I was part of his family and he truly cared about the outcome of my road test. I recommend him to everyone. HE IS THE BEST!!!

2021-11-29I signed up for a 10 class package, pre licensing course , schedule for the road test and car provided for the road test.I passed my roadtest on my first attempt.If anyone needs an example of how to run a company with professionalism and expertise , take notes from this company!!!Freddy and Sheryce both taught me and they are 2 of the nicest most patient and comfortable teachers anyone can ask for.They both really went above and beyond in terms of scheduling and flexibilityThey both helped me a great deal and taught me how to parallel park / turn correctly / and drive safely and responsibly with confidenceThese 2 beautiful souls are perfect for training ANYONE on ANY LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE all while making a good time with some great conversations and some good laughsThank you again Freddy and Sheryce for getting me legally and safely on the road and helping me upgrade my life and my families.Definitely sending the whole family hereGod bless both of you

2022-07-08This is a wonderful driving school. Mr. Freddy senior is a very good instructor. He is very calm and teaches you everything very well. I recommend this school 100% and it helps you pass the exam flawlessly.

2022-03-04I have to start off by thanking Sheryce and Freddy for being the most patient, helpful and straight forward instructors.I signed up for the 10 lessons package, and passed my road test on my first attempt. Freddy and Sheryce are the most informative pair of driving instructors who compliment each other perfectly because they both taught me things I didn’t previously know. Freddy taught me my driving skills and Sheryce helped me find the confidence in myself that gave me the push I needed!They both have this burst of energy and always a big welcoming smile with every lesson. I am so glad to have met them, they are the best there is!

2022-08-21I took a 10 lesson package with freddy and hes definitely an awesome instructor. He taught me everything from turns and parallel parking to the 3 point turn and we had our laughs as well. His wife Sheryce is super sweet and I had to cancel two lessons which was easily rescheduled. August 3rd was my road test and everything that Freddy taught me fell into place and I passed!! Truly from the bottom of my heart you guys are AWESOME and increased my confidence in driving.Best driving school in yonkers!
