What a great experience! Alicia took such excellent care of my hubby and me - and all of our things. We were super stressed moving from CA to NY, but she made it feel like we were just storing a few boxes (not an entire house full of furniture and artwork) until our house was ready. Zero stress. Traffic was horrible and we arrived later then we had expected but still during operating hours. Alicia, the manager was great! Place is way too expensive. They want 171$ for a tiny locker and thats the cheapest storage they have.

I came here to rent a storage unit the lady behind the desk was initially nice and she requested that I leave her a google review on the safeguard website she was attempting on guiding me on what to write she demanded my phone when so she can type all these wonderful remarks about herself when she noticed that I wouldn’t allow her to hold my phone or post inaccurate information she became irate and less helpful and started to help customers who arrived after me. This lady who I believe is named Alice or Alicia is very unprofessional and seems to have disorders.
Alicia was very helpful and attentive to our need. she helped us with the transitions of our storage smooth and easy . Her knowledge and Super personality was a welcome feeling in getting it done. she answered all our questions and so we had everything we needed to get started. So i would Definitely recommend this site not only for the storage but for the great Customer Service she gave us A+

Do not go to any any safeguard locations I had all my belongings literally ripped away from me one day they made a mistake and sold all of my stuff at an auction and then had the nerve to tell me are you going to make your payment for this month before you close your storage unit I told the lady Are you serious you sold everything that I own you have to reimburse me she never called me back If it wasnt for me calling corporate office I wouldnt have got anything one of the guys at corporate offered to give me a $1000 Even though it wasnt much money but I felt I had to take something because II wouldnt get anything all my personal property pitches of when I was a kid all my personal belongings are gone I would never get that memory back again safeguard really really made A big mistake and did not want to own up to it do not go to any of these places they are completely ripples and they dont care about their customers

She has that all the years that weve had our unit in this building no one had quite helped us the way the employee Jose Marte had helped her. He was very professional and courteous. She has said she felt very appreciated that he went out of his way help her the way he did, and she hopes he moves up in the company and that they hire more fine helpful people like him. She says thank you from the bottom of her heart.

Being new to the area, I found myself walking by Safeguard Storage. When my stuff arrived I found I wanted to put some of my items in storage. I called and the call center set me up. Within minutes I received a call from Jose. He was very pleasant and professional on the phone and even better in person. When I arrived, he was waiting for me. He took time to explain everything to me and asked what I was storing and made suggestions. I found myself staying after the transaction just to talk with him. If hes not the manager then he needs to be. My husband even thought Jose was cool and my husband is VERY critical of people. Jose didnt try to oversell, he was personable, he listened and he was thoughtful and thorough. I did business there because he made it worth it!! I definitely recommend them to anyone in the Yonkers area.
I called the central number, got through to Vicky right away. She set me up with a quote and when the call dropped, called me right back. Then I called the Yonkers location, spoke to Alicia, to let her know I was coming. She met me there and showed me a unit, got me set up, and everything went as smoothly as could be. Plus she was very personable and made a routine experience pleasant. Couldnt we all use more of that these days!
The facility is clean and access is easy. Customer service was excellent, friendly, articulate, patient, well informed and helpful! I love the drive in bay that makes dropping off items so easy and protected from weather. Id prefer to not have the music so I can hear if others are on the floor, thinking about safety. But the cameras everywhere and live feed on monitors downstairs handles that concern.Thank you Denise for a wonderful experience and a well run facility....well worth the price!

Jose was very helpful in getting me situated with a storage unit this September. I bumped into him on his way out for lunch and he actually clocked back in to take care of me. This was much appreciated since I drove over an hour to get there although he did not know that. As a first time renter I felt everything was clear and well explained. Highly recommended for your storage needs.

Love this place! My dad has storage here, I met Mable and he was beyond sweet. Then I met Betty and I fell in love with this place. I would recomend tgis place blind folded. Always clean and willing to help.
Its always clean and the employees at the location I use are very courteous and pleasant . What Im unhappy about is that they raised my rent $15.00 without notice or warning and I hadnt even been renting a year . The rent is expensive compared to other places Ive researched . Even their supply store they have in the facility ie boxes , bubble wrap and tape cost relatively more than U-Haul and other storage places .I only choose Safeguard because of the convenience and accessibility to where I live . Its good for what I need it for . Make sure you research and ask questions and see what deals Safeguard has to offer before you rent . They are good in that area .
Can you hire more people so when we call we can pay our bill makes no since no one is picking up the phone over 3 hours fix the website it doesn’t work correctly either

The first thing I noticed is how clean this facility were compared to all the other ones in the area. And great customer service as well. Would definitely recommend.
Ive rented a large unit since November. Ive visited 4 times, to exchange items. I guess it was my fault that I did not check the schedule. One can utilize the unit, when the office is open. This means, today, Sunday, they only open at 10.00 am, despite the fact that the attendant is in the office, at 9.25 am, and in sure it would not break his back to open the main door, since has nothing to do besides staring at the wall. I cant wait to take my stuff out and next time I will make sure the hours of operation are for normal working folks.

They scammed me by quoting me one price on the phone and then charging me more once i got there.I will sue them over it if I can to give them reasons to not scam others.The manager there is a reasonable guy but the company does not any longer put customer needs over its own needs.If you get a quote by phone be prepared to pay more for storage once you get there.

Horrible customer service!! The front desk employee was disrespectful and seem as though he had better things to do then help the customer. He rushed us and was constantly saying he had a bus to catch and we needed to hurry with moving our things in. Even when we had made a mistake getting a key fobb he clearly showed he was upset by sucking his teeth and saying out loud oh common man seriously now I have to do this all over again! It is very disrespectful to act as if customers are an inconvenience expecially during times of major move outs. Never again!

Well, My Friend had Two Units rented there and Fell ill and Went in hospital for Few months. Storage units were sold and he lost over a Million dollars worth of items. So, Not very happy to say the least. But, This is how they operate so be it. Wont be back and will Warn all others about it as well.

I have been in the same storage for 8+ years. It has become a disorganized place. You have no parking because now they allow trucks to stay over night etc. Poor management.

2022-05-24I used this storage space three years ago when I moved into the nearby area and had such a great experience that Im using them again for my most recent move. They have equipment available to make moving my items easy into my unit, large elevators to accommodate furniture, a great security system so I never have to worry about my stuff being accessed by other people, and great staff available if I ever have a question or need anything. The day we moved in, the woman at the desk, despite being busy, checked in with all of the guests and worked quickly to get all of our needs met. The parking can be tricky with large trucks or moving trucks since its a small parking lot but I suggest getting there early so there are less cars to maneuver around. Its not 24 hour access to the unit so keep that in mind when planning your trips to the unit. If youre booking through the website, and there is an error message when you try to book a unit, call customer service and they are great with fixing any issue you have, and will honor any deal you find online on their website. (What I did) Overall Im very happy with this location and highly recommend it!

2022-01-11Honestly, the best customer service experience ever here today 1/10/22! Raheem (sorry if misspelled) took us through a walkthrough of the site and showed us our unit! He was so professional and great, he answered our questions and gave us a warm welcome. We were very pleased and loved coming to a neat and clean site!

2022-05-04Customer service is amazing - Laritza alleviated every concern I had. The other managers are also accessible and will call you back immediately when you need assistance. Key only accessible elevators is also a plus.
