Saigon Bangkok in other cities:
My wife and I just moved here from northern VA and are so excited to have found this place. We ordered two new dishes to us, Mango Curry with Shrimp and a Vietnamese dish with mint and pork. Both were......AMAZING! We cannot wait to try other dishes from them both known and unknown.......
Beautiful ambiance! Clean and spacious place inside and outside. They have gluten-free options too. The food from appetizers and main dish are delicious!! This location in Hamburg unfortunately does not have a dessert menu. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely will go there again!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. My curry was rich, creamy and full of fresh vegetables. My daughters Pad Thai was lightly spiced (per request), but still very flavorful despite or request to tone down. The sweet mango curry was a delight, surprisingly sweet despite the heat of the curry. The atmosphere was bright and pleasant with attentive and kind waitstaff. Our only disappointment was that during COVID they are not serving desserts. We had our hearts set on the Coconut Sticky Rice.I would absolutely recommend Saigon Bangkok to anyone looking for great Thai food in the Buffalo area.
First time here and I got the mango pineapple chicken curry. Tastes like everything was cooked with love. The chicken is actual chicken chunks that are tender, all of the veggies were tender and had good flavor and the sauce was gooood and everything blends together. If you dont like the taste of ginger, dont get it. I do and I enjoyed this meal.
Have gotten take out here 2 times because a friend likes a particular dish. I order vegetarian and unfortunately have been disappointed both times. First time was a $12 dish (dont remember name) and was essentially all rice with tiny snippets of vegetables in it. $12 for rice really!! 2nd time was xao Cai- stir fried veggies/tofu with rice. Just was not that appetizing. I eat/love Asian food often - Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese many different restaurants. Maybe Hamburg Saigon Bangkok just isnt versed in making the best vegetarian fare. I guess the meat dishes are fine (per my friend). The restaurant itself looks nice.
Delicious! Love their food. We get take out at least a few times a month, never disappoints. Had a small mix up on our order tonight and they were happy to get it fixed. How lucky our lil village is to have this place. Highly recommend the sizzling steak - even for take out!
Went here with my boyfriend and it was horrible. Our waiter changed three different times and at least 5 different times they kept coming up to us asking if we have a waiter yet. The tall guy who served us was incredibly awkward and rude. The food was very dry and I had to walk up to the front to get our check. Absolutely awful customer service don’t waste your money here.
I am a big fan of Green Curry! I usually order that at most Thai restaurants or the Larb/Lop. So I know what is good Green Curry. I am also 1/2 Laotian so I know Asian Cuisine. I was displeased with the 1st waitress. She was kinda unpleasant. The Curry lacked flavor. The spice stood out too much! From spice level 1-4 I ordered 3, which seemed more like a 4. The chicken was dry and tasted old as i ordered the Chicken Green Curry. Again, being near Buffalo, another restaurant unpleasant. I am not from New York, but I am in the area for work as I was last year all summer. Another reminder how the food here in Western New York just needs a lot of help!
Had another excellent meal! Been here many times and always just as good as the first time! Wait staff is friendly and efficient and extremely helpful. The entire staff was fantastic when faced with a large group of self-entitled women demanding that other diners and tables be moved so that they could be seated immediately during peak hours. Needless to say, the staff did not give in and remained patient and professional! In the many times weve dined there we have not waited at all, for drinks or service. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A lovely restaurant with a classy atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes compliments the delicious flavors. We’ve eaten here a couple times over the past year, and always enjoyed the food. Good service. Can sometimes be hard to get a seat, but takeout is always an option. Highly recommended.
Ive ordered take out from here many times and the food is delicious. The vegetables and flavors are fresh and the portions are great. My family and I only had one bad experience where my mom specifically told the lady who took our order mild and she gave us extremely spicy food. But mistakes happen and this is still a great place for Thai food!
The food was well prepared and the ingredients tasted great. The spring rolls were a very good appetizer. The server was very helpful, but I was very disappointed he bothered to even take my order asking how spicy I wanted my food. I asked for it extra spicy, or five stars, and it came out bland. Like, one or two stars at most places I go to.I double checked with the waiter that it was extra spicy, and apparently thats just as hot as its made.I get that its a suburban location, but if someone asks for extra hot please just make the food at least kind of spicy. If I wanted to add my own hot sauce Id ask for it mild and plan to add my own hot sauce. The food and service are good, but theres room for improvement. Next time Im in Hamburg Ill give them another chance, because I love Pad See Ew and maybe I just need to be more emphatic that I really want some heat in my food.
I love Vietnamese food and it is my experience that it is usually reasonably priced. Saigon Bangkok followed suit. Fresh, well prepared, and flavorful food for a low price. Amazing! Our server was congenial but professional. Food was served quickly. Overall a great experience. Will go again for sure.
4 of us went for lunch. Not very busy at that time but we waited an extended time to get beverages. Took even longer to get appetizers not too mention entrees. Was nearly 35 minutes to get appetizers. The spring rolls were good. We were excited to try this restaurant, however not in any hurry (like the service) to return anytime soon. However, the food was very good.
Our first, but certainly NOT last, visit to Saigon Bangkok was phenomenal! Lovely decor, and knowledgeable, attentive - but never intrusive - waitstaff made for a delightful dining experience. The food was delicious, prompt, and plentiful. I cannot recommend the Sizzling Duck enough. Perfectly seared duck, delicious black pepper butter sauce, with steamed broccoli to compliment the dish made it the hit of our table.
I’m from California and we had fantastic Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. The atmosphere, wait staff and prices are great. Food- meh. Very bland, under seasoned. I got pad Thai and it was just noodles soaked in fish sauce. All of the wonderful fresh bright flavors of the dish were missing. The chicken satay was pretty good, chicken very bland but the peanut sauce saved the dish. I had high hopes but won’t be going back.
This is my favorite restaurant and am so thankful it is in such a great location. Amazing food and very friendly service. The ambiance is very soothing if you are lucky enough to spend a night here for dinner. I would highly recommend Saigon Bangkok to a lover of spicy Thai, for those seeking a rich, healthy meal, or to anyone looking to experiment with their nightly meal. There is so much to be said about this wonderful place, but the best thing to say is: Go see it for yourself!
Tried this restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday. Its on the smaller side (just the right size for us) and very nice inside, with a relaxing open dining area. Wasnt very crowded, but does a pretty solid take-out business. Portions are on the large side and very filling and the prices are very reasonable. The Pad Thai and Pho are amazing! Definitely will be going back!
Love the Pad Thai!!!! Never like Thai food before because I couldnt find the perfect dish! Love this place!!! Be careful on spice level, recommend 3 unless you love the burn. Funny thing, went vegan and didnt know what to order again.....then I noticed they have vegetarian Pad Thai with Tofu!!!! Yessss, I get the heat without the meat!!!!
My husband noticed the new place and we ordered takeout. We both ordered something we never tried before. I ordered Mango Curry with shrimp and white rice, he ordered Pad Thai with Chicken. It was well packed we live in West Valley and it was still hot enough to eat without reheating, so it was well packed. It was all delicious, fresh, and very filling. Cant wait to try something new there again. This is my Mango Curry I did not get a picture of Hubs.
I cannot say more than top notch food. You will NOT be disappointed!... I promise.{added 8-24-18}The best of two worlds, Thai and Vietnamese... I just wonder how long I will have to continue to go to have tried everything :-) I know I will enjoy every visit, the folks making the place so tasty are also the nicest and friendliest people doing what they do.
This was my first visit since Saigon Bangkok opened in Hamburg. I went for a late lunch after shopping in the Village. Excellent service, ambiance and food. I will definitely be back and also do take out since I live close by. Only suggestion for improvement would be a better patio/outdoor space with some greenery. Still feels a little like the gas station it once was when looking out .... in any case highly recommend and a great addition to the village of Hamburg restaurant scene!
I have been here roughly a dozen times. Would happily recommend to anyone in the region. I have tried numerous establishments in the PA/ NJ/ NY area and this is the one that is consistently the most excellent. Do yourself a favor and order the chicken coconut soup (TOM KHA GAI) and the yellow curry (with some extra go) with scallops.
Unparalleled customer service, particularly with respect to the male staff. These gentleman understand the mechanisms of social currency, in relation to the customer experience (superlative service) and its return on investment (loyal customers).I live in Japan 6 months out of the year (a country where customer service reigns supreme, in every regard) its unrivaled/unmatched i.e. you wont find that level of service anywhere else in the world; asit has been deeply ingrained within their society. I have never experienced better service than while in Japan (this applies to all sectors: restaurants, financial institutions, retail etc...)However, this restaurant and the aforesaid male staff, remind me of the service that I always get in Japan... its THAT good. Really, Im quite impressed which is why Ive taken the time to write this review. Many praises to those gentleman, who are the foundation of excellence at Saigon Bangkok.Oh yes and of course, the food is phenomenal!Cheers!Andrew
I honestly think this has some of the best Thai/Vietnamese food around WNY. The food is all made when you order, nothing to suggest it was cooked earlier and just reheated. If you like curry dishes then I suggest trying the green curry. Their Pad Thai is another winner. Service is always quick and professional as well!
Excellent food. Service a little slow. We were a table of 5 but it took 10 mins for all of us to be served, 2 plates, 5-6 mins later 1 plate, then another 2-3 mins for the final plate. This seems odd to me especially with no explaination. But that doesnt take away the quality/creativity of the food, I will eat there again, however I will ask that we all be served at the same time, no excuses.
I tried thai food for the first time here, and after several orders I wasn’t really sure if I enjoyed Thai. Like it was ok but none of the things I ordered I would pay to get again. Then I went to another Thai place and everything was way more flavorful, so in conclusion this place is sorta bland (and pricey)
Nice looking, dining room, food was a 7 out of ten, service was kind of slow, no liquor license( was told its coming), biggest problem is all the walls, floor and ceiling are hard surfaces and with a dining room half full it was so loud my wife and I could not really carry on a conversation. Probably wont return.
Service here is terrible I felt like as soon as we walked in we were judged by the employees because we were wearing normal clothes they sat us and we waited for 20 minutes as waitresses walked back and forth looking at us but never stopped asked if we wanted anything to drink we got up and walked out and when we were leaving one of the employees told us thank you for coming and said hope we enjoyed our meal after we didnt even get served a drink after sitting there for 20 minutes

2022-07-12We ordered takeout online about 30 minutes before we were due to arrive because we were traveling with two small children. We knew they would have a difficult time waiting for the food to be ready, so we had planned ahead. When we arrived, we were very rudely greeted by a blonde waitress. She was exceptionally short with us, stated that we could not sit at a table, and seemed irritated by our presence as we waited at the counter for our meal. While the food was very good, the service left much to be desired. We are from out of town and stopped on our trip home. We ate our meal outside, crouched around a chair-less table in the patio area. Next time were driving through, well give our business to another restaurant in the area.

2022-05-20Dont go to Saigon Bangkok if you are Asian!!! The server lady was very rude to my child and I. We were waiting for 20 minutes to get our order taken where she took orders of other tables that came after us. I went to the counter to ask her and let know that we were waiting for a long time. Sha said she would come right away to take order. Then she purposely walked pass our table to take the order of two white people who came way after us. We were very upset and stormed out. I called the restaurant to ask for a manager but the same server answered the phone I told her that we were very disappointed and upset the way she treated us, she didnt apologize and hung up on me. This is unexceptionable behavior, no human being should be treated like this. She looked down on us and this very upsetting my child as she never has experienced anything like this. Stop Hate. I strongly encourage everyone to not give them any business, stop supporting this kind behavior!

2017-07-31Upscale dining experience for a reasonable price. Great vegan and vegetarian options, clearly labeled on the menu (including gluten free). Traditional Thai and Vietnamese style dishes.
