Darius and Ali were both very experienced skippers and were very professional during the booking process. We had a great time sailing with a group of ten people (2 boats) for a bachelorette party in Montauk! Highly recommend Sail Montauk.
Had such a great experience with Sail Montauk! Booked the trip for a Bachelorette party and had 3 boats. It was SO much fun and everyone on our trip could not stop talking about it after. Would definitely recommend!!
Sail Montauk was a five star experience.My group rented three sail boats, and we sailed out of the harbor and along the coast and anchored outside the bar at Navy Beach, where youre near dozens of other boats with people hanging out.The staff does an excellent job. They provide coolers with water and ice to keep your BYOB cold. They also provide music and water guns for you to have water guns fights with your friends.Sailing in Montauk itself is a great activity, but I think Sail Montauk really makes the experience special. There were zero complaints from my group of 13, which is really saying something, and everyone thought it was the best thing we did.
Amazing! Second year in a row weve sailed with Sail Montauk and weve had fantastic experiences both times. Ali and Darius are both so great to work with and learn from!!! Highly recommend this company in Montauk.
Took a two-hour private lesson with Darius to refresh some skills and acquire knowledge of local waters. I couldnt be more pleased with the experience. He passed along valuable insights and helped with a few finer points of boat handling. Arrangements were made by phone with Ali, and both she and Darius could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommend for lessons, charter, or a sunset cruise. Great folks who know their stuff!

Booked a 15 person flotilla experience for my birthday weekend July 2017. The weather was perfect and sail montauk captains and staff were professional, friendly and fun! I would definitely recommend this 5 star activity for anyone who loves sailing and fun on the water. The entire process: booking, meeting and sailing was handled with ease and great mindfulness to the customer. Will be booking the sunset cruise next time Im in montauk.

2022-05-30Alexandra was INCREDIBLE! My bucket list sailing excursion couldnt have been more perfect. She engaged with my best friend and me throughout the trip just the right amount. We enjoyed her company, but were in absolute awe of her sailing prowess. She understood that we were curious about sailing in general so she shared tons of valuable info of the hows and whys that made our trip feel educational as well as fun. She let me play Yacht Rock without complaining about the horrifically bad taste I have in music and smiled and laughed with us as we attempted navigating ourselves. I cant wait to get back to Montauk so I can do it all again. Thank you, Alexandra! You are a gifted guide! ❤

2022-06-20A wonderful experience we had with Sail Montauk for the sunset cruise. Our captain Ali was so friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was nice and clean and the perfect size for the four of us. We felt it was very reasonably priced and worth every dollar! Would most definitely book with them again!

2020-09-10Our beautiful yacht, Justine, was the perfect backdrop to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were able to invite a small group of family members to share this special celebration and still be very well spaced out on this gorgeous vessel. The sunset cruise was spectacular and watching the too shores going from dusk to dark was incredible. The staff were all very accommodating and attentive throughout our voyage. I would highly recommend hiring this crew and this yacht for any special occasion!

2021-08-24We booked a sunset cruise with Sail Montauk this past weekend and had the best time! Darius explained that he was happy to give us as much hands on sailing experience as we wanted but we were also free to just drink wine and enjoy the views. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate, but Darius offered us the option for a 50% refund off if we wanted to go in early since the weather was bad. He was friendly and professional and told us stories about Montauk and the surrounding area. Could not recommend more!

2021-06-11My best friends surprised me with a sunset sail for a graduation gift. We sailed with Darius who was extremely fun, professional, and accommodating. Though the weather was not ideal, we had a wonderful time seeing Montauk from the water and got some great photos while we were at it. I will 100% sail with them again when I am back in Montauk!

2021-06-02This was an amazing experience for my first sailing lesson! with no background at all, Darius, the instructor and owner, did a great job of explaining everything & teaching me about sailing and how a boat works. it was a lot of fun and he was nice enough to refund me $100 because it wasnt windy enough to sail that day, however we stayed on the boat for the full 3 hours to enjoy the water and the sun. would 100% recommend and go back!! :)

2017-07-23My family and I had a great time with Sail Montauk and Captain Darius. My wife and I took our two young children (2 and 4 years old) and they absolutely loved it. Darius kept it interesting and exciting and let them participate in the sailing. They were also very accommodating with our kids lunch and many snacks on the boat.This is very different from something like a river cruise. Weve done those before but found sailing to be a unique experience.My wife and I found it educational and fun and will definitely go back.
