The sushi and all other food items, appetizers, entrees, drinks, desserts, and the service all have been phenomenal! We enjoy coming here so much and they do a beautiful job with their fresh sushi! We love the weekday specials! The staff is so warm, friendly, kind, inviting, accommodating, timely, and provides exceptional dinning service! The restaurant ambience is also very relaxing and beautiful!
Restaurant was clean. Servers and manager were friendly and accommodating. Good sushi takes time to prepare properly. Service was good. Food was average. Nothing over the top as far as the sushi goes. We didnt order anything else, so we may have missed something that is stellar on their extensive menu.
This was a great place to relax, have a nice dine out, their sushi rolls selection are amazing and their udon noodles were great too!Service was pleasant, we were taken care of, not too overbearing where you had constant visit but just enough to make sure we were truly looked after. Recommended.
Do NOT order online. We ordered and it said 45 minute wait. We showed up to pick up and they said they just got the order and it would be 45 more minutes. They did nothing to make it right. VERY disappointing. The lady just continued to say over and over call next time.
I picked up carry out. Service was good and so was the sushi roll we ordered. We ordered vegetarian pad thai and it was absolutely awful, as in we took a few bites and threw it away. We have lived all over the country, traveled all over the country & we have eaten Thai food in probably 30+ restaurants. Something was very very wrong with this pad thai. It had a gross musty smell and a strange almost ketchup taste to the sauce. The sauce was redder than normal as well. I kind of wonder if they ran out of the ingredients and tried to create a sauce on hand, or if their sauce went bad? It truly tasted like ketchup, old gym socks and a hint of something else mixed together. It had maybe 5 total pieces of broccoli in it, so you can forget about enjoying any kind of vegetables in the vegetable pad thai. Honestly it was the worst pad thai Ive ever tasted in my life. Im really hoping I dont get sick from eating it. We ate some fantastic pad thai at a place on Elmwood Ave in the city. If you go here, just stick to sushi. If you want Thai go to the restaurant in Elmwood Village (by far the best tasting place in Buffalo).
Let me start by saying that my wife and I were huge fans of this establishment ... notice i said were the food was excellent and the staff were always gracious friendly and professional and remembered us and our children from our previous visits ... the service was always top notch ... however about four months ago there was a change in management or maybe ownership and I have become disenchanted with this establishment ... sometime in August my wife and I decided to visit Sake for dinner my wife went in before me we were asked if we were together in an extremely rude manner (I am white my wife is black) we were made to feel unwelcome and were turned off from ever eating here again ... it is sad because it was best one of our favorite spots ... hope the old manager comes back

2022-05-29Tucked away between two stores on Transit, the restaurant is deceivingly large. We were sat at a really nice booth that could somewhat see into other booths, but gave us our own privacy at the same time with a clear view of the sushi bar.Immediately we were greeted by a really kind and wonderful lady who took care of us rather quickly, giving us our drinks and taking our orders. The miso soup that dame with the teriyaki chicken was absolutely delicious. The chicken had a nice solid crispy texture on the outside and was soft and juicy to bite into on the inside. Paired with the sauce it was a nice mix of flavors. The Donbatsu had the flavors of all the ingredients cooked into the rice and it definitely could be a warm comfort food favorite during the winter season, along with the rocky shrimp appetizer.Lastly, we had ordered 4 different rolls as they offer 1 special roll each day of the week at a discount and the day we went they had the Paradise roll at a reduced price. The rolls were all well wrapped and nothing really fell apart when we picked it up. The presentation was absolutely beautiful with each roll giving off their own unique flavors. This is a good place to grab a quick bite or enjoy a full meal!

2022-08-16This place is my favorite sushi restaurant in the entire area. Sadly, they will be closing soon due to issues with their lease. This is such a shame because the staff is BEYOND amazing, and their food is always consistently delicious! Their presentation is always top-notch. Ill really miss this place when it closes.

2020-01-04Very good and quiet place with delicious sticky fried rice. We had a wonderful time being there with family! The decor is charming and well done for a small space restaurant. The workers were polite, quick and helpful, even when we accidentally asked someone who wasnt our server for water.

2021-02-13This place must have really suffered from covid. I had a wonderful meal here three years ago. Pouring pop out of two liters at the tables as thats all they had no other choices... A small meal took two hours to get all of our order. They were out of everything... Our dumplings we ordered were undercooked. Friday on valentines day weekend we were the only party besides one or two others and i see why...hope they can turn it around. 😕 Never served our soup or salad and left our entree sitting across from us getting cold for 10 minutes. The food we did get wasnt that bad honestly.

2018-11-07Probably the best sushi in town. The food you ll eat there is fresh and you can see how they make it. Every single kind of roll Ive tried is delicious and throughoutly prepared. Service is excellent and very attentive. The place has a a few very cute little boots that make the eating very intimate and private.

2021-03-09Sake Café never disappoints. Jenny runs a great sushi bar and restaurant. Everything is always fresh and delicious. It’s my favorite place in Williamsville - E. Amherst. All of the signature sushi rolls are excellent and authentic. They always have a few special rolls too. Highly recommended!
