I am a frequent shopper at Saks, and the lack of customer service I received was unacceptable and very disappointing. I was an invisible customer for the majority of my time in the store. My purpose for visiting the store was to exchange shoes; the store did have the shoes In stock but only as a floor model. I explained to the sales associate Id prefer a non-worn pair. The sales associate advised that she would order the replacement shoes and the shoes would arrive in 3-5 business days. I left the store confident that I’d be receiving a new pair of shoes. Although the customer service wasn’t excellent, I thought my issue would be resolved once receiving my new shoes. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I received the exact shoes that I didn’t want. I was shipped the same floor model that I said I didn’t like because they were excessively worn. One of the shoes is so worn that the heel is lifting, and I’m honestly in shock that anyone would send a customer this. I am incredibly disappointed in Saks, and my issue is still not resolved.
If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve gone into this store twice, and both times was severely disappointed with the customer service. I guess because I dress comfortably and don’t wear designer outfits to the mall, I don’t appear the part to shop at Saks. Regardless, in shopping for shoes and asking about item availability, I was told to go online, or check the clearance rack for something last season. Never in my life have I been so sized up to not have enough money to afford an item than in this Saks. Clearly the staff needs more training on customer service and satisfaction. And the understanding that wearing Chanel sneakers while working at a department store, does not make you better than your customer base. I will take my business to Bergdorf’s.
I love visiting this store at least once a month I was really bummed when the place shut down during the pandemic. I was glad once it opened up and my favorite sales person was still working there. The best part is that this saks has Louie Vuitton department store as well and when you use your saks card you earn points as well.
I worked for the fur salon at this location. Saks itself doesn’t treat their employees with loyalty or respect. Everyone works off a draw so basically they all end up getting paid under minimum wage. I LOVED my coworkers there but misery loves company. However, I wasn’t paid or employed by saks. I was paid by bci international who owns the fur salon, as well as the fur departments in Macy’s and Bloomingdales (go there get the same stuff for cheaper). Bci treated their employees worse then saks did. It’s really was the deepest depth of retail hell. I question every day how I stayed for over a year. After leaving I gained a new level of respect for myself. Leaving two stars only because I did love some of my coworkers and they really did care about making these dusty middle age women look good.
Atmosphere is nice, finding assistance could be far a nd few at times. I asked one of the ladies to order a Robert Graham item for me and she did not seem to be interested in helping or looking up the item I wanted to order. When I asked a second time she went over to her tablet and said oh thats Robert Graham we cant order that and walked away. I continue shopping found another item that I was interested in when to another sales lady and asked could I get into the dressing room to try on this item she replied yes while we were walking towards the dressing room I said to myself let me ask her about this Robert Graham item when I did she looked it up and said yes we could order it for you stunned and appalled when I was just told 2 minutes ago that the item could not be ordered. This polite sales lady ordered it and it arrived at my home in a matter of days. Other than that the experience was okay
Awful experience! I don’t know if it’s Covid but the employees especially in the women’s shoes department are so rude. The weren’t helpful to me at all. I even asked to speak with a manager whowas bothered by the fact she had to speak with a customer.I will order from the NYC store or go to Neimans.
I was denied entry after I told the manager I have a medical exemption for mask wearing! They told me they can service me on the sidewalk! Completely violated the governors executive order and has their own rules! My friends and I will be boycotting Saks. I will never shop there again!
This is a very nice looking store inside the Walt Whitman Mall. Located off of Route 110. Servicing Huntington and the adjoining areas of Suffolk county. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Nice staff. Very expensive so bring your credit cards. We will definitely be going back.
I now know why I buy nearly everything online. I made my way into the Chanel counter today. There was a very lovely saleswoman helping me out. I happened to turn my head and the two other very unattractive saleswomen just stood there glum. No hello, no smile. I actually caught them sizing me up, I bought a lipstick as the sales lady really wanted to help me. Walked out and realized the lighting looked different in the car. Turned around, went back to the store the original lady was busy. I approached one of the saleswomen, told her I wanted to exchange the item and she responded with “you go look”. I exchanged the item I barely got a thank you, let alone a smile. Every time I go into the mall it’s the same ole story. Gives me a stomach ache. That is the story as to why I buy online.
Wanted a pair of shoes for my wife. The only LV store in Ny to have them was in the city. I came in to Saks and they had them transferred from NYC to Walt Whitman. The sales girl was very nice, I think her name was Katlyn or Megan. I received a call the next day they were there. I picked them up and they wrapped them nicely. I appreciate the quick and pleasant customer service. Exactly what you would expect from a higher end store.
So check this out, Im a black guy shopping around and looking and a few minutes in the store the white guy who works in the store pulls the Asian man who also works there to the side and he tells him to be careful because last year there was a Jamaican man who would walk around the store pretending to shop and then steal something and run out. Apparently I look like I need to steal because Im black.... I would never shop there. Thats just sad that people would say that based on appearances, good thing I have really good ears and hear everything, I wouldnt want to shop in a place that secretly thinks Im a thief because Im black, but let me buy something, bet they would be kissing my feet as I do it. Edit: if you are HR or whomever reading this it happened 11/17/16 at around 1pm. He should be fired, no one should be stereotyped anywhere.
Sam was just amazing, I lost my hairdresser that I went to for years, since then have had my haircut by different places, each time the cut was ok but hair didnt fall right and was alot of work to style, nothing seemed great. Looked up online best salons came up The Salon Project, I made an appointment because I was intrigued by something called calligraphy haircut, the salon referred me to Sam for a consult, well Sam is so artistic and down to earth and after talking with her I said, lets do it! Unbelievable Haircut looks amazing falls, perfect! Her technic and ability to invision style is amazing. If you are looking for a great style, looking to look in style, just younger lol, or you know what you like, Sams the girl! (very relaxing atmosphere) too.
I have been purchasing by Gucci bags there and the ladies who have assisted me over the years have been helpful and accommodating but during my recent visit to the store I have encountered an old sales woman who seems to be uninterested to help me look for a particular size and color of the Prada Saffiano tote. So, I went to the LV store instead and purchase a nice handbag and some accessories. I dont think I will be going back there to check their Prada bags in the future.
What a wonderful an pleasant experience I had at this store , I’m a worldwide shopper so quality an customer service is very important to me , Diana Corriea assisted me with everything I needed at Saks Fifth Ave Walt Whitman mall location , I would def recommend goin there ....... thanks again D
I had a woderful experience at this Saks Fifth Ave location today. I was in Kilian parfume department and although I came too early in the day and the Kilian specialist Iman was not in yet, John from Creed parfume department was willing to help me and even phoned Iman twice to ask her specific questions. Everyrhing was done very professionally and I am thankful to to both of them. Great team work!
HORRIBlE! Merchandise is always damaged especially the bags. Prada gold is scratched up or bent! Chloe bags bent ! Everything is mistreated there no wonder Gucci and Louis Vuitton have their own vendors! . Customer service is down the drain. Theres hardly anyone there its disgusting. Go to Neimans or even Bloomingdales thats how bad they are. They over price items. I rather buy it directly from the designers site than at Saks!
If I could give zero stars I would....First time going to saks store to get some shoes the customer services is terrible as hellNo one and I mean no one would help us ..the team members standing around talking and laughing...I asked advisor Dollena ealy to help me ..She just walked off and didnt come back! no one would help....Today was my First and Last time shopping there

2022-04-23Customer service needs to be improved drastically. Sales representative are not as attentive or welcoming upon arrival to the store. Only demonstrated that to a certain class of patrons. Surprisingly because this was the first time Ive experienced this here. Appears as some cant multi-task. Ive been on several occasions and theres always a wait to be serviced. However their in the back just standing around. I didnt have a great experience at this location. I wouldnt return or recommend only as a last resort.

2022-04-23Pretty simple they really don’t have much to look at. Went to take my wife to get a pair of red bottoms they don’t even have any available in the store. Would be helpful for at least sizing purposes. If you need anything bigger then a 7 forget it as well. They really don’t have much. I would think smash and grabs have a lot to do with this. Don’t bother going go online and guess your size. Awful.

2022-02-08DO NOT SHOP HERE! I ordered a 3.3 oz bottle of perfume 2x now, and they keep shipping me a 1.6 bottle instead (half the value of what I paid for)! I have called customer service, and they are just as incompetent as the staff that are fulfulling my orders. I have no issue online shopping at Nordstrom, Walmart, and many other merchants, but Saks is definitely having staff competency issues...so shop elsewhere.

2022-06-16Liars, thats just it.Back in November 2021, I purchased 2 Bond perfumes (lovely perfumes). During this time, there was a promotion going on; buy 2 and receive a free refill or something.They told me I could have the refill sent to my home. I though it was a great idea because I wanted to give my mother it as a gift. I gave them my home address and everything else they needed.And nothing.I waited for months. I went back in February 2022 to tell them. I had to go through my bank statements to prove to them that I purchased the perfumes. It seemed like one of the ladies made a mistake with entering my information, back in November 2021. They said theyd find the refill to give to me in person but they were out of stock.Naturally, I was upset. After speaking to three separate people, I was able to speak to the general manager. She said she would have a full sized perfume shipped to my house because of all the waiting and trouble. I wrote down all of my information for a second time and still nothing. Its June 2022.Ive been patient and its been months. I dont want to deal with the people at the store anymore.I forgot the names of the women I dealth with. However, there was a blonde and short female, a brunette with an accent, another brunette who was the general manager who had twin boys (I mentioned I was a twin and she started talking about her boys) and a tall darker gentleman.

2022-03-10I hate to give a bad review because I usually have a good experience. I came into the woman’s shoe department at Wal Whitman shops. I explained to salesperson Armando and Diana I didn’t like how my Gucci Princetown loafers fit. I was hoping to get suggestions or some solutions. Diana’s immediate response was “it fits everyone like that”. They continued to stare at each other then look back at me. I felt so uncomfortable, like I was being tagged teamed; simply for asking for help. They were extremely rude and even asked “we’re trying to figure out what you want us to do”? I was so stunned at the blatant rude conduct. I decided I should just leave, but I asked for a manager instead. I spoke to Leon who was great and assisted me in finding solutions.

2020-09-25Brought wife in for a dress fitting. Sales staff was top notch and showed her a collection of several colors, styles, and lengths that they thought would look good on her. My wife was so delighted with the specialized service. The sales woman actually ran downstairs to grab a pair of shoes just to see how they would look with the dress. Wow.. Wife bought a dress, needed to be altered and it was done in ONE day. Will definitely recommend Saks Fifth Avenue and thank you for the wonderful service through this painful pandemic...

2018-06-08Nice store with a lot of selection. Pretty cheap for me , but for others expensive. Good selection of clothing. I especially like the Gucci that they have.Some clothes were unfolded and not taken care of. They should be neater. Other than that, everything else was very good.

2021-11-20Saks online customer service is trash she dont even know what she was talking about. She tried transferring me to the store but no one was picking up so it kept starting all over again. I called this location so I wouldnt waste my time but non of the departments was picking up the phone. I called Saks online and they told me the location have the fendi jacket. They dont even carry fendi in the store. They told me I can order it and have it send to the store but whos going to think that if it says on the website the store carries it and I wouldn’t have came and waste time if they just picked up the phone.
