Great barbershop for families, I’ve seen a lot of parents bring their kids there for a haircut. The wait is never long, because there is a lot of barbers working. Haircuts are always done with care, and prices match the quality of service. I usually don’t stick to one barber because normally it’s the same quality to no matter who you use for your haircut. I recommend this shop to all my friends.

This place is hands down the best barber shop! everyone treats you like family and it’s got just all around great vibes… good music, sports on 4 large screen tvs, beer water soda… candy and chips for kids… it’s just better than any other place i’ve been with my 4 year old son, and i’ve been to a lot of barbers!! i will never go anywhere else
Very cool people, they gave me a free haircut one time because Mike from M&J barber ruined my hair from being angry at me for being late to his party, was absolutely rude. Gabi fixed it. Been a loyal customer here since, and barbers are very nice people. Come here if you want good haircuts from good people.

Sal & Gabi have a great barbershop. The vibe, cleanliness and awesome service are unmatched in the Huntington/Melville/Dix Hills area. I have been coming to see Gabi for my haircuts for years traveling from NYC/Brooklyn back home to Huntington Station. Now that I live closer its easy to pop in just to get a trim, buzz, shave or whatever you need. Over the years I have sent many friends to their shop and all have become repeat customers. Its a pleasure to have a barbershop with a neighborhood feel and know good people are taking care of you with every visit.

Ive been taking him here for a couple years now by recommendation from my boyfriend and and his adult son who had already been customers. Theres free snacks and drinks for the kids and you if you so desire. The prices are comparable for twice the service quality. A definite must go.
Sal has been cutting my hair for the past 9 years so when him and Gabi opened up their own shop, I knew I was going to follow. Both Sal and Gabi, along with their crew of barbers give exceptional haircuts. They can cut anyones hair from a three year old boy to an eighty year old man, and will always give the customer exactly what he wants. I have never seen anyone leave Sal and Gabis unhappy with their cut, instead everyone is happy that they are looking good with their new fresh cut. The barber shop is the nicest shop I have been in. They have snacks and drinks for everyone along with sports decorations on the walls, and even let children play video games when they wait. The barbershop is the best around.

I’ve been going here since they opened .I followed them from when they were at barber shop 3.They were the best then and now.My son has been going to them since he was 1 years old. He is now 10.My husband has been going just as long.The shop is always impeccably clean and more updated than any barber shop I’ve ever been in.All of my sons friends go to them as well. They always are ahead of the trends and newest styles and these boys love that!Although they take them right away, the kids love to hang a while to enjoy all the snacks and Xbox.I personally love the complimentary coffee..There is nowhere else I would take my son

I’ve been coming here for over a year. It’s a great barbershop and I have never ever been disappointed! It’s a nice, welcoming place; I have no discomfort walking in any time of day. They are open every day which is a huge plus. Always something interesting on TV there and everyone is very friendly. It’s clear they are proud to be part of the community and want to know everyone who comes in personally.I have only had Sal cut my hair. This is a man of great personal power, and the responsibility to use it well! I believe he was sent to Earth by unknown supernatural forces to cut hair, as his abilities transcend those of mortals. For context, I’m a white guy and my hair goes in several different directions. Sal easily analyzed and dispatched these demons without breaking a sweat. In all my years before Sal and Gabi’s I’ve received more than a few awful haircuts. It wasn’t those barbers’ faults necessarily, but they didn’t have the fortitude to tackle the task the way Sal clearly does. I see no reason to make a change in any future, and I doubt there are any quantum timelines where I make a different choice. Even if Sal is busy, the wait is always worth it. Even if he had an infinite line of people ahead of me when I walked in, I’d simply wait for the heat death of the universe instead of wasting my time somewhere else!
Best service in town. Professional barbers and great family atmosphere. Kids love going there for the haircuts and the snacks. I have stopped by late for haircuts and they took care of me and never mentioned they were closed. They also volunteer at the kids schools cutting hair for St Baldricks. Good to have people like Sal and Gabby in our neighborhood
I have been going here too long and putting up with their inconsistent quality. They dont know how to properly do a proper fade. Last time sal went way too high and did a terrible job blending. Never coming back.

The guy cutting my hair had an attitude, seemed like he didn’t want to deal with my hair because it was “too curly”. He also cut my hair way too short when all I said was I wanted it a LITTLE shorter. Extremely disappointed with this business, would not recommend.

Ive moved a few times around Long Island so Ive experienced my fair share of barbershops and different barbers. When I moved to Melville, I tried out a few barbershops in the area and Sal and Gabis was the best.Location is great, right on Jericho Turnpike. Ive gone on different days of the week and different hours and never had a ridiculous wait time. At most waited for one person on the chair.Sal (one of the barbers/owners) is the man! My first time with Sal, I came in on a Saturday morning before a flight to Europe. In by 9, out by 9:30. Sals main goal was to make sure I left happy with the cut.I showed him a picture for an idea of what I was looking to do and he knew exactly what to do for my hair and for my profession. He even asked ahead of time what I do for a living to make sure the job would be ok since I was going for a little more modern look.We scaled the hair cut back a little bit based on his questions about my life and trying to get to know me. At every step of the haircut he asked how I liked it, which is important for when youre going for a new cut or one of your first times with that barber so do you know his style and you learn to trust him as he goes through the process. He recommended current trends options so that I can modify my haircut to that style if I wanted to, even though I showed him a pic of what I wanted to try. Based on his experience and knowledge he was able to recommend the best style for me.Id highly recommend this barbershop and giving Sal a try. You wont be disappointed.
After moving to Long Island, it took me a while to find a barbershop I wanted to stick with. During a google search, I came across Sal & Gabis and Ive been going ever since. No appointments needed, open 7 days a week, and all the barbers are great. They have complimentary snacks/drinks and are great with cutting kids hair too. Best barbershop around!

I moved to Huntington about 2 years ago and I got tired of going to my previous barber that was located in Queens, NY. There are several barber shops in the area and I was very skeptical on using a new barber. I shopped around the neighborhood and visited some other shops in the area and I wasnt thrilled and my cuts were never just right. Of course all of this changed after I visited Sal & Gabbys barber shop. From the moment I set foot in the shop, I felt welcomed! First person to greet me was Gabby and offered my complimentary beverages and snacks. Then I met Sal, Im not much of a talker but he made it seemed like we knew each other for years. The shop is clean and neat with TVs in every barber station! I have two young daughters, although they dont get their cuts here, they love to come and accompany me when I get my cuts cause of the attention they get from the staff. GREAT BARBERSHOP!
Sal and Gabi have done a great job since going out on their own.Sal has been cutting my hair for 9 years. Unless I have to move, no one else will cut it.Their shop is great. They offer beverages and snacks for customers while they wait. They even have an xbox there for kids to use while waiting.
Today I found this awesome Barbershop to take my two sons, since my wife was working. We had to wait about 5 minutes in the spacious, clean & well lite shop. My boys noticed that each station had their own tv. One even wanted a drink and we were told to take from refrigerator & snacks if they wanted.We got to meet our barbers Sal, Gabi & Jhon. The experience was totally amazing and will definitely be back for our next hairstyle.

Ive been here several times. No matter who has cut my hair, it has been great and I keep coming back. All barbers are friendly. I like coming for a cut and hot shave (its very reasonable). Jhon especially has given me a consistently great cut. The first time he cut my hair I saw my girlfriend afterwards. She said whoever cut your hair, keep going to him and I have. I had come here a few months ago and had a bad haircut from Gabby. I tipped very well but had to go back into the shop because he did a rush shave job and missed part of my face. Im displeased more so because I had posted a bad review, he found me on Facebook and tried to get me to take down the negative post to which I refused. He then had my review posted to another company claiming I must have reviewed the wrong place. Im not happy with his service or his character. I do not appreciate what he did.

Yesterday was my first time visiting the barbershop and my barber there was John who did an amazing job on the haircut and he gave lots of suggestions which I very much appreciated but we had doubts on wether we wanted the hair to be shorter or not so John reassured as that we could come back tomm if I wasnt satisfied with it so I decided to come back to touch it up and make it a little shorter and upon entering the barbershop a man asked us what happened and I nicely informed him that we should wanted it to be a little shorter. We asked our barber John What he would suggest in terms of length and he basically showed an attitude for no reason despite the fact that we were the only ones in the shop at 5:00 when the places closes at 7. Im honestly just shocked that this man told us we could come back tomm and then was disrespectful and told us we could do whatever we want when what we asked for took 6 seconds of his time(we were the only ones there) wow. My mother was a little upset when we left with the way he was talking to us. She just didnt want me to go there anymore and just find another barbershop to go to smh

If you want to catch COVID this is a great place to visit. Theyre serving up Coronavirus hot and fresh at Sal and Gabi barbershop! Social distancing is a thing of the past. Its like a time machine to the prepandemic days when almost no one wore masks and 300k extra people were crowding the country. Maybe youll get lucky and a bunch of people not wearing masks will walk in mid service, theyll sit one right next to you and you can walk out with half a haircut! Super great!

2022-04-10My son and I always come here for his haircut and mine {were both constantly changing our styles but no matter the looks, we trust going there and always do}. I love all of the barbers and stylists because they listen to what you like {and give you ideas}. My son is on the Spectrum and this is the first place he never cried for {weve been going since he was 3yrs old}. I highly recommend this shop. Ana is my favorite and so is Margarite. My son usually get the older gentlemen when they are free and also likes the other barbers.

2021-08-12As a first timer & Mom of 2 young boys going to Sal & Gabis, this was a great experience! The haircuts were well done and there is no lack of attention to detail. I rarely have to wait no matter what time I go and they take both boys at the same time so I can get out a lot faster too!All of the men & lady barbers have been fantastic and so welcoming and personable! You can definitely tell Gabi is a father as he pulls out all the stops for the kids from snacks to ice pops to fist pumps and high fives! Best barbershop Ive been to! Will and have been recommending Sal & Gabis! Keep up the good work!

Every time I go, both Gabi and my barber Anna make their *best effort* to treat me well and to give me an enjoyable service. Anna cuts my hair and always *pays attention to detail.* She keeps the chair area *clean* and finishes off with a neck and shoulder massage.PS: The snacks, water and even the beer are free #VIPservice

2021-12-12Hands down. First time taking my 5 yrs old son. Lukas has Autism and the barber did such an amazing job!!! Lukas did not blink at all!!. So caring and gentle towards him. Thank you. Will definetly come back!! All my 3 boys are now Sal & Gabis official clients 🥰

2020-07-12This Barber Shop is amazing! Sal & Gabi’s is always so clean and everyone in there makes you feel like family. Best price, best haircut and overall best experience. They even have snacks for their customers. I have been going to Sal & Gabi’s for years now and would never go anywhere else. Best part is Gabi always remembers my cut; takes customer service to a new level.

2020-09-04We just recently started using this barbershop and I couldn’t be happier! My son is pretty picky about his hair and we have been to 3 different local barbershops lately and now we will be at Sal & Gabis for good :)They give a great haircut, staff is extremely friendly, the place was very clean, always accommodating, and we have used both Sal and Sher who were both equally amazing! All the barbers are talented!! I would definitely recommended :)
