Sals Pizzeria in other cities:
My first time at sals for dine in the food was amazing started with chicken wings excellent cooked to perfection then had Fettuccine Alfredo with side of meatballs and sausage in red sauce it was delicious kids had chicken tenders and fries wife had eggplant we finished with oreo cheese cake overall experience 10/10 warm inviting ambiance clean friendly staff will definitely return.
Very poor customer service from the manager. Pizza came after 1:50min wait. Came burnt with no sauce on wings what’s so ever. Manager refused to give money back or give credit for another order. Even after he saw a pic of burnt pizza. Very rude on phone as well. Very poor customer service for a manager. Very surprised at this as he is a manager. Go to avicollis, much better pizza and much much better customer service ! We will definitely not be back.
We order wings and a side of meatballs and are told 60-75 mins for delivery. At the 2 hr mark we call and are told your food is leaving right now - 40 mins later we call back and ask to speak to the manager and are told your order must be lost, well have to remake your food;; when I object to the way this has been handled he says well if you order from us all the time you know we are busy on Friday nights. Thanks Sals, we have supported you for a long time and we are done.
Everything we tried was amazing!!!! This was our first time so we tried the wings, Mediterranean pizza, cheese pizza, Alfredo, and the chicken riggies. We will definitely be back the next time in NY. The servers were amazing and the kitchen staff is great to accommodate special requests. Can not say enough good things.
Sals is hit or miss with quality and a constant miss with price. I understand inflation and what is happening in the world today. But when you charge .50 for the sauce that comes on the wings, it’s ridiculous. $2.00 for chargrilled- hello, they cook the wings in a fryer and then throw the wings on the grill for the grill marks. Please explain why that cost $2.00? Especially when there not crispy not taste like chargrilled. These results have happened multiple times. Not a singleOccurance. When my wife and I order food, it shouldn’t cost $40.00, and if it does, it better be amazing.
Service was bad at first. Bad. All the dudes standing around with their thumbs in there A$$. Megan was AWSOME and recovered very well. Got our ordered and apologized for the wait. She was keeping the dining room together while all the dudes and bartender did nothing. Food was excellent. Great sauce.
Their char-grilled wings with house sauce have got to be the best wings Ive ever had. Ordering online is a breeze. They do wings by orders of and you can actually split the order and choose to have them in a different sauce or cooked a different way. I think thats very accommodating but Im not about to stray from the char-grilled, house sauce wings.
First time we came here it was amazing. Great food great service. Every time since is more and more of a disappointment. Slow, even on slow weeknights. Decided not to come back ever about a year ago.Tonight everywhere else was too busy and we decided on one more chance. Thankfully seated in just a minute or two. It was a little busy at first, so we waited a while for drink orders, but thats understandable. But then we waited another 15 minutes for the drinks, a draft beer and a cocktail. Again, nothing to complain about by itself since it was a little busy. We were able to place our orders when the drinks came. Appetizer and garlic knots came pretty quick, both were very good. So far, no major complaint. If that was the worst, I dont think Id have minded. But then we waited for close to an hour. During this hour we waited another 15 minutes for another draft beer. When our food finally came out, the steak I asked to be medium was barely even rare. The lobster mac and cheese that was supposed to have chunks of lobster had only an empty tail shoved in the side. I think the worst part was how expensive it was. 24 bucks alone for mac and cheese by itself. It was late, we were tired. We just paid and got boxes. The food isnt inedible but it wasnt what we wanted and definitely not worth the cost (both in the time we spent being ignored and the money we begrudgingly gave them).I loved Sals the first time I went. The second time I thought it was an off night. Now Im feeling like the first night was the outlier. Wont be going back.
We got there as they were about to lock the doors. Instead of turning us away as 2 other places dod they tossed the slices, they were about to throw away, into the oven. Then gave them to us at no charge. They were specialty slices and 6-7 of them. They were absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly. Will definitely return when in the area.
I ordered shells and cheese dinner as well as broiled haddock and fresh green beans dinner both came with soup and I ordered a salad. Everything came in sturdy take out containers not styrofoam but really nice looking plastic containers. Nothing leaked all over, everything was packed nicely, and cooked to perfection! Best fancy take out dinner I’ve ever had! Great job guys/gals!
I ordered the seafood greens and linguini with white clam sauce. It came with garlic knots and a side salad. Very generous portions. Prices are a little higher than a typical pizza restaurant but the food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Will definitely order again
Seated immediately upon entry. Mask required for entry. The fresh-baked rolls drizzled with the garlic butter was divine. The garden salad was fresh with tomatoes that tasted like they came off the vine this morning. I had the linguine with white clam sauce. Absolutely delicious, I might say better than mine.
I placed an order for pick up. 1 fried haddock sandwich and chicken riggie dinner when arrived home I noticed the tartar sauce was missing so I called and they did not even offer to replace the food even though it was their fault and they forgot to include said sauce. MY FRIED FOOD WAS NOW COLD AND NOT EDIBLE. Their offer was to credit me for the sauce or deliver me some even though I offered to drive back and have the food replaced. like what sense does that make. worst customer service than fast food I will not be eating here again as I was treated like an inconvenience to them for expecting what I rightfully paid for. I hope that they read this and realize to check and make sure ALL PAID ITEMS ARE INCLUDED.
Tonight I ordered an extra large garlic pizza with sausage and onions and it was horrible. I ate half a slice and threw the pizza out. But I also ordered the seafood Utica greens. The few shrimp and scallops brought nothing to the dish. But the greens!!! OMG withe the garlic, prosciutto, and heat..... best I have ever had. I had to call them and tell them it was so good.
Over priced to say the least!!!! The wings werent charred and I mean all 30 of them and the 2 apps were cold along with the pizza that was only cheese so maybe just a timing issue, but also the cheesecake had definitely turned bad so I guess jokes on me and hopefully not you if ur reading this...
We order delivery, first time in restaurant. Great server Brooke and very cozy atmosphere. Food was great, tried a pork tenderloin special and Mediterranean chicken. The owners have made a big investment, tiled bathrooms, looks like granite bar, nice lighting. 2 people for $65 ($21 drinks) and brought food home. We have never had bad delivery..antipasto and char-grilled wings are awesome as well. We will be back!
Used to love getting pizza from Sal’s but the last two times has been a major disappointment. Ordered online and got the email/text giving the order confirmation and a second saying the order was in preparation. Almost 2 hours went by and I finally called and they told me my pizza “has been ready” for pickup. I told the worker at the counter i never got a message saying it was ready for pickup and I was told “We don’t do that anymore.” Four (4) minutes after I called them and had already picked up my order, I got a text saying my order was ready for pickup. Extremely disappointed and not sure I will order from Sal’s again.
We ordered pizza, wings, and garlic knots. Price was not bad got 50 wings, garlic knots, 3 pizzas one speciality, one cheese and one pepperoni for 99 dollars. The pizza was so delicious and the wings were awesome. Only thing that was not perfect was I think they forgot to put garlic on the garlic knots they were very dry. We will be back soon to order again!!
Ive been to Sals about 5 times now and I would easily give 5 stars every time. Im always tempted to order what I had the last time because it was so good but I made the right choice and explored the menu.Best decision ever! The staff is attentive and friendly with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home.Im looking forward to many more visits.
Awful... the worst meal I have ever had. They do not know how to make chicken riggies.... or eggplant! Had pizza there years ago that was so-so... thought we would try again for a dinner! Big mistake....... never again! Suggest you just go to Walmart freezer entrees and have a much better dinner
Nice place to eat some great Italian food. We went after 7pm. It wasnt too busy, but we waited longer than normal for our dinner and initial drinks and acknowledgment that we even got seated. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs once we got our order. I went for the chicken riggies, they were amazing. Ordered desserts to go as well. Yum! They were good too..
Used to LOVE their food, however, when I ordered for pick up and ordered riggies I asked for one medium and one hot and both came hot. I could not even eat it. Along with that order wanted extra sauce and never got that either. Also ordered garlic knots (my favorite) and they came dry. No garlic sauce or butter or anything and they were burned. Very disappointed because I used to be a regular.
Sals is great. I go there with a group I went to high school with and its always perfect. We get separate checks, food that comes all at the same time and its hot and delicious. I love their chicken caesar salad but their margherita pizza is a close second. Fish dinners are popular among the group as are their specials. None of us have ever been disappointed.
Tonight was the first time we have been to Sal’s but it will not be our last . The food was amazing !! . My husband had the chicken riggies and I had the shrimp scampi . The staff members are great too . They all seem happy to be at work and that carries over to the customer service . There was a 10 minute wait so we sat at the bar . I had their pumpkin pie martini 🍸 while we waited . Looking forward to dining again soon at Sal’s
Mom passed away recently, and we decided to try Sals food for the family that gathered at the house after her service. we had heard good things about Sals and they lived up to it. I can personally attest that the Lasagna was excellent, and though i didnt eat the meatballs or chicken alfredo, everyone who did said they were excellent to. So a big Thank You to all the Sals employees involved in that. Id highly recommend these guys. Very good food. And great service. Right on time. Thanks Again.
I get that its Mothers Day, but we placed an order for 5:30pm and weve been sitting in the parking lot for 50 minutes. Meanwhile, one of the employees is taking a smoke break.Update: I waited about 90 minutes after the time the food was supposed to be ready before it finally came out. The food was very good, but they really need to do something about the process. I felt bad for the girls who were literally running from car to car. Come on management, youve had 2 months to figure this out.
This is one of the best places to eat in Baldwinsville. Their portions are amazing! The seafood greens were spectacular and the prime rib is one of the best in all of Onondaga county. Their service is above the best, not to mention the price is much less then you would think.
Would have given it one star but there were a couple decent things about our experience, the waiter was friendly and attentive but we were also the only customers. The bathroom was clean. Salads were skimpy and semi wilted, water tasted awful like a mop bucket my Mother’s was fine. Ordered scallops Nantucket, the scallops themself were decent my moms meal was pretty good (shrimp genovese). Garlic knots very very dry, mashed potatoes very dry no flavor, hamburger dry no flavor as well. Fried were pretty good.
Just tried the Italian Feast for dinner and Ill say my family of 4 is full and satisfied. Food was excellent. Sal you keep impressing. Meow must be teaching you.Great Wings, great pizza, friendly staff. We had a special order for them on Riggie Monday and they rocked the order. Everything was excellent. Both Sal & Meow should be proud that the staff keeps dishing out quality even when they are not around. Keep on Rockin. ***NOTE*** I request Bangkok Chicken Wings be put on the menu. Yes they should cost more but they will become a best seller.
3 hours for delivery. Cold food, may have been good if warm will never know. I have order delivery twice from there and both times delivery time was absurd. Not to mention the price is out right ridiculous not sure how they stay or have business. Go some place else cheaper, faster and better quality. No one should pay $75.00 for pizza and wings. Some many options out there save yourself and get better and cheaper.
I really want to like this place. Great atmosphere, the people working there care, and the owners seem like really good people. We just moved to the area a few months ago from CT and this is one of the only locally owned places in Bville. The challenge is the kitchen. Every time we come there is always an unreasonable wait time. 3 out of the 4 times here weve had repeated apologies from our servers over the wait time. This evening we waited over 45 minutes for a medium pizza. The server said take out was very busy. I dont understand that because you would think the priority would be the eat in customers who are ordering apps and beverages as well.We got the pie to go which I am sure will be good but the kitchen needs to be figured out for this local to be a success.
I went with my boyfriend to sit inside and eat after a long day of moving a few weeks ago. First off, the SU Orange drink alone will keep me coming back, it was delicious. My boyfriend was very happy they had Oktoberfest. The prices seemed decent for the amount of food you get. We got cheese bread and the buffalo chicken pizza. As usual, the hot sauce they put on was more like buffalo sauce and not really hot but it was still very delicious. We are new to the area and have a million other pizza places to try but this place is respectable in the product they put out.
Guess I wont say how bad it was Friday night. We waited 2hrs for our pizza & wings in the parking lot. When I finally called again the girl eventually said , oh we will be right out with it, 20 min later we got our food. Now I know they were extremely busy last night, but lets at least tell people there is a 2he wait.Felt bad for the staff running around the parking lot looking for people.
Weve been a fan of Sals since we moved to Bville about 2 years ago. Their pizza is the best in town. Their wings are AWESOME. Try the honey mustard wings. Ive never had anything like them. Very tasty. Great classic pizza. They once brought us the wrong type of pizza, not what we ordered, and just as we were opening the box to see it wasnt what we had ordered, they were calling us telling us they made a mistake and were bringing us another pizza on the house right away. The guy came with the second pizza wicked fast. Ive had some of the other local pizza and Sals is way better.
Food is good, but host and hostess were inexperienced. So much so that they were turning business away. We made a reservation and showed up to witness two wide eyed teenagers that had no idea what was going on. We waited 20 minutes to get our seat. Dont bring your kids. However if you are looking for a long dining experience over drinks and are ok with some significant wait times give it a try.
Very friendly AND welcoming staff. Great atmosphere to eat in, was quieter when I had been there to eat in. I do like that there are two separate sides for pick ups and when youre going to eat in, makes it convenient and easier for both parties.I ordered chicken riggies and got them extra spicy, and they were BOMB. Super spicy and flavourful.
Its complicated. Sometimes the food and service is amazing. Lately, its been very disappointing. I spend what I think is a lot of money here. So I use that as saying I have a large sample size. Not that I should get better treatment. Consistency is your number two, most important commodity in a service related industry. So when the consistency is mediocre at best there is a problem. My food has been cold, overcooked, and drinks warm. All while requesting delivery. All while spending more than 30 per meal. They have forgotten drinks on more than one occasion and delivery times are pushing ridiculous. (I can deal with that if the food is hot and drinks are cold) but I havent gotten that 4/6 orders. Businesses of all sizes need to be held accountable forcthe product they provide. If Sals reads this, I respectfully ask you step it up in the quality control. Make sure your drivers arent making to many stops. Increase wait times if you know you cant get the food out. Trust me people would rather have hot food, cold drinks, over cold food hot drinks, and long delivery times. When you wait over 1 hour for your food its way more understood if it comes correct.
First time ordering pizza and wings from Sals. Extremely disappointed!!! The wings had no crisp, they seemed soggy. The pizza sauce reminded me of the sauce you find in canned pastas. We had lunch there once and it was great, not sure what happened tonight, what we spent $40 on just put Sals on our no fly zone list.
Was a Friday night it was pretty packed. We found 2 seats at the bar & quickly found a hi top to sit at. The service was great and the food was awesome. The chicken parm was great & my date had the delmonico, which he said was one of the best steaks hes had in a while. Cant wait to visit again.
Food normally delivered timely and hotOrdered 24 chicken wings and 90 minutes later, still no food. Called and after put on hold, was told they were out for delivery. I received the email telling me that 30 minutes ago. There should be something in the online ordering that will give you a heads up about delays.Would have gone to another one of the 15 pizza places in Bville

2020-10-18Food was warm and hit the spot. We had this delivered and it took a while longer than they said it would. We tipped quite well for our food and that didn’t seem to get it there quick (which is why it got a four star). Otherwise, great pizza joint! Heard good things about their chicken riggies which I will try next time.

2022-06-063 adults dined in. I had the lasagna and the piece was large enough for another meal. I also had a side of meatballs which were soft enough to cut with a fork and flavorful.

2022-06-29Used to be good. Changed.Ask for something. Pay per item but don’t get get it.But full charge.Base food taste decent. Needs additions. Ask for them. You will pay but not get them now a days.Been getting worse. Not my first rodeo just first time I called to say what the helk? Because it was outrageous.Aside from the time my entire family was gut sick and called to give a heads up about what went out the door the night before - that aside. Just have noticed has done downhill. No sorry for that btw. Just “oh”.Been ordering here for 10 years. Been on decline for two. Tried to call. Blown off.Kewl.Small town but other places areSpringing up.Never again for me. Was good while it lasted. Those days are over.

2022-05-10This place is great. Its feels like a mom and pop restaurant and has good food with good Italian sized portions and all at a fair price. Brought my friends from church after a morning service and we loved it. Well be back for more Im sure.

2022-05-17Usually, I am very pleased. However, this time I had a cheeseburger and it was way over cooked. I still ate half of, but brought the rest home for my dog.

2021-12-22Had the pleasure of being served lunch today (courtesy of Sals Pizza) at my workplace. Loved everything on my plate. Great croutons on the salad, delicious sauce on the ziti, and large, savory meatballs. Definitely one of the most delicious meals I have had around here. Highly recommend them for your simple (but delicious) catering needs.

2022-01-09Ordered Sals for the first time today using the online ordering front he website. It was an hour wait, which us more than Id like typically, but acceptable for a busy Saturday night during peak hours! My partner and I each ordered a calzone, and they were very tasty and perfectly cooked. However, I did not give 5 stars/took away one star because our order was not quite right... My broccoli calzone had not one piece of broccoli in it. I kept taking a bite hoping for broccoli to be hidden within, but nothing! I did add grilled chicken and eggplant in it as well, so at least it had those. My partner ordered a buffalo calzone with no ricotta, but his had no medium/buffalo sauce in it and did contain ricotta still...Ill give Sals another try sometime, maybe on a less busy night.
