I ordered here because I was really craving pasta and their pasta looked really good, especially their Penne alla Vodka since it seems to be there most popular dish. So I place my order and decide to add a calzone on a whim. When I ordered it was close to the end of the night. When I received my order and tried my Penne alla Vodka with meatballs it was the driest pasta I have ever received. I assumed that it may have been because it was the end of the night and they ran out of sauce.I called to ask for replacement and was met with a combative man who said when it left it was fine, and that no he would not replace the dish even on another day. This is after I stated that I would bring the dish myself after paying for delivery. He didnt care how the pasta was delivered and said that thats how they prepare it and I just dont have to order from them next time. The one star, since thats the lowest I can give would be for the edible calzone.
Amazing gem in the city. We came here by accident after trying to hide from downpouring rain on a friday night at 10:00 and saw their outdoor curb tables. and a waiter greeted us with a smile saying wow you guys must be soaked please try our coffee. I gladly took his offer and was no longer grouchy with their delicious cup and amazing service. I really loved the charming look of their wooden tables and large lamps and nice sports bar and booths on the inside with play area. The menu has nice italian options like bar bites of garlic knots and meatballs to pasta dishes, brick oven pizzas, wings and desserts. I would definitely come back here to try more food and watch olympics or hockey games !
First time at this place and they knocked it out of the park. Atmosphere is very home like. Full bar. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Large area to sit down and eat. Good for large groups. I may have my birthday party here. Prices are very decent. Burgers are so good and flavorful. They make you feel at home here. Really loved this place! Big screen TVs if you want to watch sports. Draft beer selection is balanced. Very diverse crowd. Family friendly. Bathrooms are very clean. When you walk in it feels like you just showed up to your friends house for a get together. Awesome!
The garlic and parmesan wings are my favorite. The garlic and parmesan fries are just as great. Their pizza is also fantastic. I have not eaten anything else here except their booze and thats good too. Great sports bar. And super friendly staff. Been feasting on their food here on take out during this quarantine. Ive been coming here since they opened up shop a few years ago.
Great establishment tucked right into the neighborhood. A real gem with the ability to invoke thoughts of Europe as one approaches at night. Service as just as you would want it to be for such a small space. The food is outstanding and the wine list very good. Overall a real treat for the Richmond District.
My favorite restaurant for higher end bar food in the Lower East Side, especially South of Delancey. Their wings are by far my favorite in the LES, and I have had wings at dozens of bars in LES. Have never had the more premium Italian entrees but their heroes are really good too.As far as the Bar aspect goes, affordable beers and cocktails and great place to actually watch a game with your pals at one of their big tables. I am in my mid 20s and also enjoy loud rowdy bars like Hair of the Dog or Side Bar but always found it annoying that there are so few bars in LES to actually watch a game without loud pop music blasting. Also they have shuffle board which is always a good time.Overall I highly recommend grabbing a bucket of beers and a dozen hot wings here next time your in the area.
Theyve added a blue cheese bacon and honey burger to the menu that is on point! It is juicy and delicious. They have also added an alfredo pasta. Hats off to the chef because everything Ive had so far is really tasty. Portions are large and the happy hour includes well drinks as well as house red and white wines. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great spot.
I come in here almost every week for football. They have a unique and hearty menu full of tasty options. It’s known for Pizza but the wings and garlic knots are also fantastic. It’s a friendly neighborhood bar that doesn’t get too packed and the bartenders are the absolute best. My drink is never empty and you can also enjoy a game of shuffleboard. Great spot to watch a game if you’re looking to avoid crowded bars with drunk screaming fans.
Very nice sports bar in the neighborhood. They have Canadian shuffleboard (the waist-high sort with sand), lots of TVs, happy hour from 3-7, decent food, and good bartenders and servers. The drinks are decent, and the music is decent too. 4 stars for being no nonsense and a place Id be happy to visit again.
So youre in the city, probably looking at reviews of restaurants right now. Dont worry, everyone does it. However, this place blew me away! Trying to find good food thats decently priced, they have done it. I got a burger that was cooked to perfection, the fries were golden and crispy. My friends got pizza that was absolutely filled with flavor from the sauce down to the dough. Give Saluggis a chance, you wont be disappointed.
Neighborhood pizza shop with everything you would expect. Has a large dining area inside if you want to have casual Italian food; or can easily carry out which I have done on multiple locations. Usually pretty quick service and packaged well for transport. Tasty pizza; good selection of salads. No complaints.
Only ever had the pizza. Started off as a fan of their by-the-slice on Church St. The whole pies on Grand are a little different, more doughy maybe. But very good. Home made mozz, sauce is on point . Toppings are fresh. Location is great. Clean and inviting, good size bar with beer options. Good for game nights, if you dont mind the noise.
Food orders took long with only two other tables with customers. Ordered calamari, it wasnt worth it, you can tell they are made from frozen calamari seasoned bread crumbs had no flavor nor did the cocktail sauce served with it. Burger and fries took long, however were better than the calamari. Garlic parmesan chicken wings were ok nothing tell friends about. Cost is not great for the products produced. Thank you for your reply to my review. I may try you guys again.
Best bar in the lower East SideGreat food and beer selection. Drake is a really cool bartender he put the boxing on for me and an oversized pizza to go. I think he didnt even charge me!!! Thanx Drake and good luck. I wish I had a bar this cool down here in Adelaide Australia.
Bagels are good they have a great variety of sandwiches. I usually go there for breakfast and love the Leo Lux! They also have some bakery products. The only problem with the place is that sometimes you have to do a long line and I will leave they need more people working behind the counter. Other than that love the place.
Def top 3 burger I’ve had in manhattan. Tastes so good. Might be number 2 or tied for first I’m not certain at thisvmpmentbbut it’s good! Garlic parm wings always soo good too! Not easy to find good food in this area unfortunately so when I’m here I always depend on saluggis! Thanks for the consistency guys!
Having been to Saluggis on Church St. in NYC, I decided to try Saluggis on Grand Street. The food and service was just as good in the Grand Street restaurant and the atmosphere was unique and absolutely delightful . If you like Italian food, these two restaurants are a must.....comfy, casual and enticing menus at both...more upscale atmosphere (complete with large screen TVs throughout at the Grand Street location, but would highly recommend both....M. Wow. You call more than once to confirm your order and their response is “OMG!” As if I’m messing up their entire day! I called more than once because more than one person ordered from our company and the prices didn’t match what the menu said! Kill me for trying to confirm!
Went yesterday morning at this restaurant and i had the worst experience every, the waiter was SO DRUNK that she couldn’t even walk across the tables, so sad :(.tho food was delicious she had for me something that i didn’t ask, i ask for a parmesan sandwich and she brought us parmesan pasta, it was delicious as i said but we dint wanted to eat pasta at that time in the morning, seems like there is no manager, how can this happens into a restaurant? Please get a manager to supervise employees, U NEED TO HAVE MANAGERS, what i lived yesterday was disappointing.

2022-07-04The spaghetti and meatballs tasted a bit like they dumped Ragu on top. The pizza was just okay. My water was not refilled even after asking 3 times. The garlic knots were pretty good though.

2021-06-24This is a great place to treat yourself to excellent food, delicious drinks, lovely staff, and fascinating people watching. The mini meatballs are plentiful with amazing flavor, and the sauce was outstanding. Had left overs and day 2 was even better. The Brussels sprout dish is packed with flavor, almost making it sinful. Best marg in the city. Gets a lot of sunlight during the day for a cheerful lunch.

2022-07-07My cousin had a gathering here a few years ago and I thought this place was very pleasant, which I wanted to give my son a going away to college party I called the staff, they seemed very friendly at first then the phone tag Began I was trying to speak to the owner regarding having my sons’s gathering then when I called back I was told that they didn’t have enough staff to cover my event. My thing is was someone going to call me and tell me this I had to call back myself to find this out. I am very upset this is very frustrating and very unprofessional I will spend my money elsewhere where I’m appreciated

2022-03-05The service here is very good and friendly. I had the meatball hero and fries. Fries had great flavor and were hot and crispy. The rest of my group raved over the bruschetta.

2022-06-07Mediocre, overpriced. Service was slow, food was edible, wasn’t blown away either of the three times I went now, kinda done with the place. Don’t try the signature cocktails unless you’re a white chick who likes sugar.

2019-09-05This is a great place. Their menu is absolutely delicious. Every single item they offer from appetizers to pizza or other main courses- it’s all so good. This is where you can find a pizza to die for that has Brussels sprouts and pancetta or bacon and the perfect cheesy pizza. Penne vodka.... YUM....Pink pizza.... perfection and kids love it.Their fries are perfectly delicious. They know acknowledge my kids with delight each time we are there and they just love that. They are the most kid friendly restaurant I’ve ever experienced. They let my little guy hand the wait staff the credit card to pay the bill, and take the receipt. It’s a nice neighborhood place that offers great service and such a kind and friendly environment. Great family place with good seating and room for a stroller. The only time I’ve ever been upset with Saluggis is when I have ordered on seamless. My favorite thing to get here is the spinach salad with blue cheese and pancetta... when I order it in seamless the delivery is wrong every time. But this salad as well as the Italian chickpea salad are just delicious.

2021-04-10Typical bar foods and some italian staples. My favorite things to order is the bacon cheeseburger and buffalo wings! The guy that usually answers the phone and takes orders is a really nice guy too!
