One of my favorite restaurants. I always get the grilled ham and chicken with fries and gravy.
We love it here! Its typically our every Sunday am breakfast date...my husband from the South particulary lives sausage biscuits and gravy and says for this area they are the closest to authentic Southern biscuits and gravy.

Sat in the side room away from the main dining room. Service was good and so was the food.
The place is a dump be careful when you go here they leave your food out in the open for people to sneeze on and everything

Great service, very good food, nice atmosphere. I prefer eating at a diner than those noisy, bar/restaurants. I never order pasta out, but my boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesan and the sauce was very tasty and pretty flavorful. We will be returning for sure.
Waited an hour for our food and eventually just left. Vibe seemed good, bet the foods ok, but I could have gone to the store, bought the ingredients, driven back to the city, and made what I ordered for myself in less time. Sorry.
Excellent!Both the food and the service here are above average.The service here is always friendly and the waitstaff make you feel like family. (the best kind ☺)The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast menu (which is served all day).The portions are so large, its hard to eat it all.And of course the prices are very reasonable.If you havent eaten here, you dont know what youre missing!By the way, I travel a lot, and this diner is one of my favorite places to eat.
Service is great the they served 5 of us in less than 1/2 hour and still apologized for the wait. Food is what you would expect at a local Diner. The restaurant seems very old but its kept up with and clean. I would go back its a great stop for some chow after a long motorcycle ride. Also they have one of the best Friday fish fry this side of Rochester.
Im so full! Had a delicious Greek chicken salad. I couldnt even finish it. The pita bread is so fluffy and yummy. Service is friendly, small town feel. Love this place! Been twice and will go more! Highly recommend!
Amazing food friendly staff and I am new to town so its a nice cozy little place that reminds me of my favorite restaurant back home. If I could I would eat there every single day
This place is full of foodies every morning! We waited 15 minutes for the table. Foods look so good! Very happy, concerned and knowledgeable about the menu. For the most part, all of our food will die. We all like to use the toilet after the game and they allow us to do it even without a general plan.
Great my niece and nephew love it.
Stopped in for a business meeting. They gave us a nice quiet booth in the back. had the hickory burger and it was extremity good. The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend it.

Hostess was very polite and courteous. Staff were personable and swift to accommodate me for any extra items I needed. While I was never asked if I needed a refill on my drink, the Go Get Em attitude of the employees much more than sufficed for my extra water. If I knew the hostesss name, Id for sure recommend her to anyone who I knew was heading to Sams Diner!

Service EXTREMELY slow. Ordered cheese curds and out within 5 minutes. However couple omelets and 1 pancake took well over 40 minutes. Had 2 young children and much too long to wait.
Enjoyed this place very much. Not many small town diners like Sams around anymore. Food and service was great, looking forward to going back sometime. The only reason I would not give it a 5 star rating is the bathrooms need to be remodeled.

I have loved every meal from Sams. Unfortunately I can only rate this restaurant 4 stars for 2 reasons. The side salad consists of bagged salad mix and a slice of tomato, and the lettuce is brown. The roll included with my incredible fish fry was a sandwich hard roll, rather than a dinner roll. Give me a fresh salad and warm dinner rolls and its 5 star!
If you enjoy a great small town diner experience youll probably love this place. Generous quantities and good service at fair prices are what keeps us going back.

I Cannot get enough of Sams. I order take out for breakfast and stop in at lunch for a quick bite. The wait-Staff hustle to get my order taken and delivered to me because I only have 30 min for lunch. Everyone always wears a smile and are very attentive to their customers. Its like a at home family feeling. The food is delicious! YUM! Thank you Sams and Staff for filling my belly with warm delicious food at a great price.

I went to Holly to reconnect its been over forty years since Ive been there and I was trying to find some old friends the staff there was awesome and friendly some of the patrons were trying to help me find some of my old friends Holly New York was a fantastic place and Sams diner is still there and still the place to go to eat
The food was absolutely delicious! Portions were huge and the service great! Ill be making special trips out to Sams in the future for breakfast for sure! Dont miss out on this place if youre in the area!
Great menu, reasonable prices, good service and food
7pm on night before Thanksgiving. Pretty empty. Service a little slow at first. Ordered bbq beef with mashed potatoes..huge..almost double portions. None went to waste. Ordered fish fry..just right portions..tasty fries and cole slaw. Check about $29. Floor desparately needed sweeping. Dont come here often, but have never been disappointed with the food.

Food was surprisingly good. I really wasnt expecting that good quality. Wouldve given it 5 stars but our waitress left without telling us or giving us our check. Not a huge deal but still.

Havent been there in years went for breakfast and the service sucked... food was good.. waitress took our order waited and than we got our food before drinks asked for a refill and 15 minutes later I went up to counter and asked again with cup in hand. I can understand if they were busy but they werent.Last time Ill go there. The service has really gone down hill. I quess the regulars are used to this kinda service.

Horrible food and prices. I went there for breakfast with a couple guys. Eggs were runny. My potato was smashed with the skin on and partially burnt on the outside, leaving the inside cold and raw. Bacon was as thin as a potato chip. My silver wear was also very dirty as you can see most of the restaurant is not well cleaned or kept.The food wasnt horrible, but it wasnt good at all. The food Id give 2/5 stars. However, the price of the food was insane. 7.50 for eggs and bacon? I ended up paying $27 for 3 people which is ridiculous for breakfast.Never going to this over priced hill billy dive again.EDIT: Thanks for your reply.I am 100% sure I was at Sams Diner in Holley NY on July 9th at about 10am. I have been there many times usually for the chicken finger dinner. This was my first breakfast.I asked the waitress for scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. she also gave me a potato. The other 2 guys I was with got the exact same.Yes the potato had skin on it. I didnt ask for 3 eggs, so Id assume it was 2, since it didnt look like much. Yes, my butter knife was seriously dirty also. We also ordered 2 cups of coffee and 1 water.The bill was $27. I asked the lady at the register who is also on your facebook page in the santa claus picture. I said, can it really be 7.50 for eggs and bacon? she got red in the face and said yes. It was 7.50, 7.50, 7.50 and 3.30 for the 2 coffees combined.That is 25.80 + tax. Which is an additional $2 making it $27.So why does it cost me 7.50 PLUS tax?! This was a simple breakfast.So its $2 for a potato? And no, I didnt see the prices on the menu. Because I didnt order from a menu like you said I did. In fact, we didnt get menus and she came right to our table after bringing drinks and said, you know what you want.I said scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon.So maybe you should give menus and reconsider charging people $2 for an uncooked, non pealed potato.

2021-07-06My wife and I stoped by Sam’s Dinner for lunch. The had a lot of different choices, it was hard to decide what to pick. Both of us where surprised how tasty everything was. Great prices and great food. The place was clean, nice atmosphere and friendly customer service! If you in town and looking for a place to grab a bite to eat then I would recommend Sam’s Dinner!

2021-06-06Finished off our hike in Holley at this awesome little diner. Parking is in front of the diner which is located in a postcard perfect town that looks like a movie set. We were offered lunch and breakfast menus in the afternoon which is nice to have choices.I ordered the tuna club which was really good with fresh tuna salad and crispy toast. My lunch companion got the Monte Cristo which the waitress suggested he eat with syrup. Ive never seen him finish a sandwich before his fries before. Thats really saying something because this place honestly has the best fries. Crispy and maybe battered and seasoned? Not sure but theyre the best.Friendly service and great prices round out this dining experience. Definitely will be back.

2022-05-08We discovered this hidden gem two summers ago when looking for the site where our favorite band was performing. Sams is mostly populated with older locals..and the place looks like it hasnt changed since the 50s...but the lemon pepper broiled fish is the BEST around, and the ravioli is the best Ive ever eaten. Staff is friendly and efficient and prices are very good. It may be a bit of a drive, but you wont be disappointed with the menu. Highly recommended.
