The guys I usually see when I go in for subs are always friendly and very proper and polite. Always giving me tips on things subway offers that makes my life easier. Theyve never messed up a sub and usually know exactly what I want. These gentleman are doing it right! Always leave them a dollar or two!
I wouldnt give this place even one star if it were possible. Horrible customer service. My husband and I went there on Aug 4. We had a gift card with $10.00 on it. We wanted the two for $5 each, which you had to do on your phone in the Subway app. The gentleman behind the counter came out to show us how. When it came time to place the order, the gentleman took my phone and hit the button. Our gift card WAS NOT on the app and it charged my bank card, which brought my account negative as my deposit had not gone in as yet. Thats a $30.00 charge for being negative. I was not about to do that... The gentleman did reverse the charge and we tried ordering again.... this time he messed with my phone again before I was done ordering, and I was charge again for $8.85. The gentleman went in and said he reversed that charge too.Which brings me to today Aug 5. The first charge was credited to my account. The $8.85 was not. I called my bank to find out if it too was reversed. They told me no, it was not. So I called Subway. A female answered the phone. When I explained to her what had happened, she quickly cut me off, would not let me speak and told me there was nothing she could do about it. I asked for a manager and she said the owner, Darnell was not there. In the background I could hear the gentleman fro the day before say that I was never charged. This was total bull, I had brung up my bank app and showed him the day before that there was indeed a charge! This woman then proceeded to hang up on me! I called back and there was no answer. I called my bank and they assured me the charge was there and had not been reversed. I then blocked my number and called back. She answered the phone and I said you are quite unprofessional to hang up on a customer! She mutter something that I was rude to her.. no.. WHEN YOU TALK OVER SOMEONE AND DONT LET THEM GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE, THATS RUDE... I asked her for the owners name and she said it was Darnell. I asked her to give him my number and have him call me, she took it down, but when I asked for HER name, she hung up on me AGAIN!So this brings me to this post. I am now leaving this review and afterwards I am calling corporate. If this woman who hung up on me sees this, I dont know your name, honey, but I have record of the times I called and Subway will know who you are. So my recommendation to the public is, DONT GO TO THIS PARTICULAR SUBWAY. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A LYING EMPLOYEE TO SAY I WAS NEVER CHARGED WHEN I WAS. Id post the bank record, but I dont want everyone seeing the other charges. But I plan to show corporate.
This subway is by far the best in Albany . The owner is extremely nice and friendly and goes out of his way for his customers. This subway is a great place, we go out of our way to ensure we go to the one specifically even though we have ones near us. This shop is always impeccable and the customer service is fantastic
Walked in yesterday, one person in line, two employees behind the counter, one was not wear a mask or gloves and was handling food and the other had a mask on, but it was only covering her mouth, not her nose. I walked right back outside and took my business elsewhere. Absolutely disgusting.
They’re are new employees at this location that i come to pretty often and i have had a bad experience each time they are all rude and have their kids running around the store i think it is very unprofessional and i am very unhappy because the employees before were extremely kind and friendly i went in today to get what i always get and i told the girl working that the bread she cut was broken in half after she had made my sub and started wrapping she unwrapped it and said where is it broken so i explained again that it’s not supposed to be cut in half and she just wrapped it back up and said oh well i am very disappointed with the customer service and communication at this location
Visited 11/10/2019---Food was horrible. Horrible. I got sick after eating here, and so did my significant other. I called in and told them and they didnt care at all. Worst subway ive ever been to in my life. Avoid like the plague, because that is what you will get if you come here!
I was very impressed with the service. For one, I usually dont write reviews but..this deserved it. From being greeted immediately, food being made at a decent time..that was nice. But having a young gentlemen help you with your drinks because they ran out if cup trays 😊..I mean, great customer service..and to think I was gonna get popeyes lol
I have to give the staff here credit, they accidentally shorted me on my change. I didnt realize it until I was in the laundry place next door getting quarters. I went back, told them what happened and while they didnt give me my money back right away, they said they would count the drawer and check the security tape to double check. They took my number and called back within 15 minutes to let me know that I was right and that they had my change at the register. I work in customer service myself and this is exactly the way Id expect the situation to be handled - understanding, patient, and fair. They didnt assume I was right or wrong - they checked but were polite about it. I respect that and would recommend this place based on the service. Subways are a dime a dozen but this place is run well.
I started out as a sandwich artist here many years ago and we operated as if it were a 5 star establishment. Now as the new owner and with my management company we are operating fully as a 5 star establishment. Stop in and come see why were known as #Soulway great vibes great customer service food made fresh in an environment that the capital district has grown to know and love. Like the old owner better,kept a tight shift and looked cleaner and food was made better.first time I been there in a while.looked in the cold cut fridge once I saw icing around in there and everything mixed I knew the Chinese lady didnt own it anymore she was VERY CLEAN!
Really bad experience here...moldy lettuce, gross tomatoes, slimy meat...worst is the staff acted like this is normal at this location...I had better quality at gas stations...stay away if you want to retain your health...who knows what else is wrong with this place!!!

2022-03-31I am a stickler for nice good customer service. This Subway location went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. We needed 3 Sandwich platters by noon and I was ordering at 10am. He not only took my order over the phone in the most friendly manner (even with the short notice) They usually ask for 24 hour notice to make sure they have enough bread for the day but he was not mad or upset or made me feel bad about ordering on such short notice. He simply said no problem, took my order and even gave us more toppings for our staff to choose to add more options to the sandwiches. In todays world I fee customer service is tough to find. It was not the case here. Unbelievably nice. And when we picked up the order, the sandwiches were not only ready on time but looked amazing and he bagged them up for easy handling. I can not say enough goo things about this establishment. If you are in the Albany area this Subway has to be YOUR Subway!!!! THANK YOU so much the staff here really enjoyed everything.

2022-01-07Messed up my sandwich (I ordered online) and did a poor job. The sub looked like a kid threw the toppings together and barely look at the whole order. I only had two or three correct toppings on my sub. The rest of the toppings came from the other sub that I ordered- south Chick-fil-A sauce, spinach, cucumbers and tomatoes. The toppings that were missed were onions, banana peppers, and no sauce, Parmesan cheese and Swiss cheese (I wanted to try something new). I was very disappointed that I got a sandwich that was totally different than what I asked for and a messy one on top of that. I’m lucky that the bread stayed together with the amount of sauce that was used.

2021-01-08Id recommend this Subway over the other local franchises because of the quick and attentive service, fresh food, immaculate space and the customer service was above and beyond. I have never been offered the array of options given there. I appreciated their appreciation for my business through this pandemic. Although there is no dine in they still wipe all surfaces including the door handles, cooler doors, even the soft drink dispenser. The fact that their practice is conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially throughout this pandemic is recognized and respected.

2021-11-04Just ordered food from here today. I could tell they were backed up with pickup orders and customers in the store plus the manager was training. But it didnt effect his professionality, he still upselled, and did a good job of quality control. Good job, and thank you.

2020-11-28The woman who was working when I ordered my sub was extremely polite. Its not often you get such great service from workers. There was a situation (not bad) that occurred while I was there and she had to take care of and was extremely apologetic for it. I told her it was fine and no worries, but she still apologized and went as quickly as possible. I believe this lady needs a raise and to be recognized by her company! Wish I took a look at her name tag.

2020-12-22I’m writing this review to make sure that Darnell’s work ethic and attitude don’t go unnoticed. He was polite, energetic, and meticulous during my purchase today. This is definitely the first review I’ve written about a subway restaurant, but I believe Darnell is an asset to this location and that deserves to be appreciated.

2021-03-16Do not give them your business period. The manager by the name of Danell, is very disrespectful and unprofessional. He has argued with customers everytime Ive been in the store, and Ive only ate there twice. The last time I was there he was rude to me, and tried to give me a dirty cup. And got mad because I asked him for a clean one. He then refused to take me order because of it. He has no communication skills what so ever. He does not need to work there if he cant control his behavior.

2020-08-11Edited to add: My bank is still going to seek the $8.85 charge because, both the $10 dollar charge and the 8.85 dollar charge got me two over draft fees of $30 a piece. They refunded the 10 dollar one when it was reversed, and they refunded the 8.85 as well, but in order to make that last one stick and not be recharged the 30 I have to let them recoup the 8.85.I made a review before this one under the name Beware of the Shadows. I gave one star for the way the female employee treated me over the phone by hanging up. Everything in that review is true and correct.The five stars in this review are for the owner, Donnell, who called and tried to rectify the situation. He gave me a free sub and a drink which I appreciated.I went to the Subway in question, calling Donnell first as intructed. He in turn called in and told them I was coming. I went in with my husband and waited a bit since there were other customers. When it was my turn, I walked up to the female and said Donnell called you about me to which she replied a short what do you want? I ignored the shortness and ordered my sub. The male (who was there the day it happened and was the one who kicked it off by hitting the order button on my phone) put my order in the register, then handed me a cup and said shortly youre all set. Not a friendly visit by any means. Funny thing is, all the female had to do was break the ice by saying I was the one you spoke to over the phone, I apologize for hanging up on you.. and I would have erased the other one star review and just left this five star one up speaking for itself.So Donnell is the only one who gets five stars. He is professional, courteous and really tried to handle the situation. He just needs some new courteous employees. Or maybe teach them a little courtesy goes a long way. Thank you Donnell..

2021-02-16This is the best subway I have ever been to in the country and I travel a lot. The gentleman that made my sub was courteous and made the subs so they looked just like the pictures and that never happens anywhere. Keep doing what you are doing.
