What a great, family friendly place to visit! My children had so much fun taking a ride through the farm to find the perfect tree! The gentleman who helped us was prepared with a saw and an ax to chop down a tree. My 5 year old loved seeing the dogs too!I loved the selection in their shop and bought some great holiday Knick knacks for lunch house and for Christmas gifts and the prices were not super inflated like some places you go to. The staff was extremely friendly as well! We can’t wait to go back next year for our new family tradition.
I took my son here for a Christmas photo shoot. We were very impressed with the farm. We loved the animals, the outdoor activities for the kids as well as the Christmas store. Ive visited another Christmas Tree farm in a nearby town for several years and I think I like this one more.
ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL!! The Christmas Spirit is overflowing and we couldnt help but feel like it was located right out of a Hallmark Movie! The decorations, the animals to interact with, the areas of activities, the shop = incredible, snacks, photo opportunities, Santa and everything in between... Being a family with 5 children spanning 19 years, every single one was pleased (thats near impossible!), and Santas Christmas tree farm sparked that magic!! Most accommodating, respectful, generous staff goes into making this farm a fabulous experience for all! Beautiful place loaded with spectacular trees, irreplaceable memories, and most importantly, beautiful people. If you need a boost this season, a feel-good place to go, or a new tradition... This is where the magic happens. Happy Holidays! ⛄❄🌲
We came from over an hour away because it was advertised as an ice rink. We arrived and the “rink” was actually plastic sheets and the skates they rented had blades an inch wide which made it practically impossible to skate on the plastic. It’s advertised as ICE skating, but because of the disappointing lack of ice...2 stars. The animals and tree farm seemed lovely thought.
Beautiful landscape and trees... it is clearly a well maintained farm cared for with love and enthusiasm. Staff are extraordinarily helpful and friendly and the shop is truly beautifully decorated as well. Tons of unique Christmas items, something for everyone and filled with holiday spirit. I wouldnt go anywhere else as in my experience the competition lacks what Santas Tree Farm offers in every way!!
Our family had a wonderful experience at Santas! It was the first time weve cut our own tree and the staff were great, friendly and helpful. You can tell that in a few years this place will have a lot more trees, but it was perfect for what we needed. The popcorn and hot cocoa were great, smores by the firepit, AWESOME Christmas store, and even a quintessential red pickup truck were some of the highlights from a great day. Cant wait to go back next year!
This place was amazing made us feel like home and even with covid I got my picture of the kids with Santa that we would have missed this year and I would have been missing in my collection. So grateful they made this year Christmas for our family in a new place and we felt welcome and loved. Thank you Santas Christmas tree farm!!
Update: So sorry to hear that... But yes it was pretty funny as I wish we were still in 2019. I figured since no one wanted to be in 2020 thats why 2019 was still up. LOL. Thank you! Cant wait to returnNice place to come cut down a tree or visit their nice indoor decorative and festive shop. But how come you have 2019 still posted outside to take pics with?
They have the best selection of pre cut and native grown trees on the east end! The overall Christmas experience is incredibly memorable and the shop has something for everyone. The new owners have spared no detail in creating a true winter wonderland. Santa’s is back!
Santas Christmas Tree Farm LI is under new ownership by people who, in my opinion, truly care about this establishment and their consumers. Their staff have worked tirelessly around the clock in a very short period of time in order to provide the very best Christmas Experience to everyone. Santa photos are free! You cant get that at the Mall or anywhere without paying. There is a live reindeer (Deery) on premises as well as Llamas; chickens; sheep, and the owners own beautiful incredibly unique canines who are friendly. Cutting down your own Christmas tree at Santas is an experience steeped in family fun and an ongoing tradition well-worth making the trip for. Smores are offered at an outdoor firepit. There were four huge bouncy houses on site for kids and adults with astroturf surround for safety. The selection of ornaments; trees; decorations; and edible treats such as popcorn, hot cocoa (lots of marshmallows) and hot apple cider were endless. It is truly a winter wonderland. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting and stayed for hours. We cant wait to come back!
The ultimate Christmas Experience. Worth the drive. If you’re looking to cut your tree yourself or have it done for you, the process is seamless. Their staff will take your tree from the field, net it and secure it to your car. There is plenty to do for the kids, from bouncey houses to S’mores by the fire, even Brady Rymer playing for the crowd. Llamas and Sheep petting and even a reindeer. Let’s not forget about free photos with Santa. I highly recommend this place for a weekend excursion. Tremendous experience for the entire family.
I went with my family to the farm to ice skate but what a disappointment it turned out to be.We rented skates and ten minutes later we were off the “ice”. It was impossible to skate. The skates are no good ,you can’t skate at all .Just walk around and hold to the fence or the helping toys. And of course they made you to sign a waiver before for no refund and they except only cash .So $50 for 10 min of disappointment.
Unfortunately this place is nothing more than a tourist trap style tree farm. Everything sounds nice and the staff is certainly friendly enough. However strolling through a field of sub par trees then having to wander around to find staff with a saw is not my idea of a fond family memory. Couple that with them not even trimming the base of the tree and the $75 price tag and you have an experience that is less than ideal. Do yourself a favor and look around and find something less touristy for a better deal.
Waste of time for ice skating. Synthetic ice? More like plastic can’t skate on it no refunds because they know how horrible it is . The staff for the “ice” skating rude but I guess when you hear complaints all day that’s how you get. So disappointing. Not to mention waste of money .
My last visit with family and friends was fall 2010 how time flies in our very hectic lives. Truly missing the drive out from Brooklyn, NYC to Cuthogue LI at Santas Christmas Tree Farm recalling the great smell of fresh air with scents of pine!By far these last 25+ years of shopping for Christmas in and out door decorations. Never left without finding the most unique one of kind designs on ornaments-table top/wall decor for our home and gift giving. So looking forward to our visit end of this month with family eager to see whats new knowing there is no other place like SCTF in NY ^_^
Have been going here for a few years now but this season, winter of 2018-2019 they really dropped the ball, and we went early this year They literally dont have a single tree over 5 feet, and if they do its half dead Someone forgot to plant enough in previous years or they had a really busy season last year. Dont waste your time this year nor the next few years as the young trees they do have wont be ready for at least 5 years (takes 12 yrs for tree to get 5-6 feet). Mikes and Matts tree farm has a ton of great trees (I have no compensation from either of them) but they had easily trees 9-10 feet and everything in between (doesnt mean they will be great next yr but this year they are)
Came here because Shamrock’s was insane, and it was a huge mistake. Their system is horrible - they cut the tree, put in on a pick up truck with about 10 other trees, and you meet them by the front where your tree is supposedly netted and ready to go. We purchased two trees, saw them both go on the truck, but were only able to locate one. Nobody will help you - we asked the male employee with glasses and light brown hair to his chin, kept saying he will “talk to people” and walked away. Repeat process with several employees. We finally got someone helpful who said he would get the manager; however, the manager was nowhere to be found. I get it’s busy, but you see theres problem, and these people waiting over an hour, and refuse to help?!?! Not the slightest bit impressed with the extremely rude staff.
I sit back now and remember the time I spent on the farm as a young boy growing up helping my father plant the first trees on the farm and how much joy my dad had doing the work it took to build it in to what it is today and now I watch my sister and brother keep his dream going as I reed about the family that have enjoyed it as a child to bring there kids there to enjoy it as well and all that make the farm what it is today and how much joy my brother and sister have keeping it all going and all the hard work they do all year long just to see all the familys that come back year after year to enjoy the farm and see all the new stuff that they found for the season and to see the joy that it brings to so many of you as my brother brings his kid there and the joy they have work with him on the farm weather it come to trimming the trees to hoeing around them and keeping up with every thing but the most Important person there has to be my mother who stood by my father as he started his dream of bring the best Christmas tree farm to the north fork often you will find her there in the back ground doing all she can to help even if it just a kind word or seeing that young boy grow up to a man and watching him walk the feild with his son to cut down the perfect tree like he did so many year ago with his father my the dreams never end for all that come to the farm and all the joy it bring to you if you have not bin there you are always welcome to come walk around come once it will be a stop you will have to make for many years to come
A cute and vast Christmas tree shop.A big tree was sold for about $ 50. Its half the price of Manhattan.Thanksgiving Friday evening The car was almost full and I was guided to a distant parking lot at 10:30 am on Saturday morning.Shooting with Santa lined up for about 20 minutes. It was good that Santa was kind and lined up!Skating is $ 10 per person for shoe rental, its not ice skating but plastic skating, so its not cold and it doesnt skate so much, so it was just right for childrens practice.A big dog and a bird are in front of the shop and the children are happy. There is a slide playground equipment in the back of the shop, which makes children happy.Next to it is an air trampoline for $ 5 per person and $ 10 for the family, which makes children happy. The grilled marshmallow kit is a throwing type because it is non-contact. Children will be pleased to be able to make marshmallows baked on a bonfire. My mother is also excited about cute tree goods. In other words, it is recommended.

2021-08-18Such a beautifully curated shop! We discovered this shop a few years ago. Now we visit every summer to buy an ornament memento of the trip! Today’s visit was extra special thanks to a little cat named Woodstock and the cardinal ornament tree. We arrived before they opened but the owner opened up early to let us in, which was so sweet. Definitely make this a stop!

2021-12-12Went today and found a cute small tree, only for it to be the same crazy high price as every other sized tree. Along with the price, the employees taking the tree back broke the top of the tree with no remorse as they handed it to me to bring home. Very disappointed

2021-11-29We got there during the day with the children and they immediately saw the blown up bouncy houses and starting running towards them as they saw other children on there. The “workers” were standing a few feet away just talking with each other not paying attention. 5 minutes after my children started bouncing they came over shouting “no this is closed you can’t be on here!” And my children and the children playing on their prior started hysterically crying. The gate was open and they were blown up. If they were “closed” please keep the gate locked at least and pay attention to your job.nice Christmas store inside, expensive but if you have the money then it’s worth it. 90$ for a tree is a little outrageous to me but if that’s what you’re willing to spend, then go for it.

2020-12-20Had a good time with my kids. Beautiful interior store to walk around in. Had my kids pick out one ornament each so they can place on their tree. They were pretty pricey but worth the experience. They enjoyed that. Then we walked around the farm. Bought some popcorn. Took some pictures by the fire pit and other decorations. Then we walked into the field where we found a nice tree to cut down ourselves. It was cold And full of snow on the ground but made the best of it. It was a good experience. Wish I found this place many years ago as I would of been coming here every year with my kids starting 5 years ago.. can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

2019-12-01Loved this place!! Brought my two children to pick out a Christmas tree, and ended up cutting our own 8’ tree! The live animals were adorable, and being able to see Santa (and not go to the mall and get charged a ridiculous amount of money for photos) was perfect! The hot chocolate and popcorn station was delicious. Also, inside was decorated so beautiful. The employees were all so amazing and helpful! Definitely going to make this a family tradition! Highly recommend this AMAZING place!

2020-12-06My family and I were there today. We have been coming for years. I am happy to report that we were not disappointed at all this year! Their set up this year is wonderful, we felt safe (covid regulations in place). My kids had so much fun even though we were all freezing, we ate food from the taco truck, had hot chocolate and made smores! The ice skating rink is such a great addition! And there was a little calf running around happily in the animal area, which was adorable... Oh, and our tree is beautiful! We sadly did not make it into the Christmas shop for the first time ever, (long lines, that are needed because of safe distancing regulations) and my kids not being in the mood to wait with me- but we will be back next year!

2020-12-14My family and I went here this weekend. Ill be honest. The place is perfect for families with smaller children. They have a nice sized bounce area, an ice rink, a large play area with a wooden train set. We had planned on visiting with Santa, visit the country store and cut down our Christmas tree. The visit with Santa went well. He was friendly and engaging. I loved how they had an old pickup truck to use for the photos that also helped keeping with the covid distancing. However, that was the only thing we liked. The store, set up nicely with a variety of ornaments and home decorations, was highly over priced. Much more than Ive seen in other places. As for the cutting down of trees? It wasnt worth the trip. There were barely any trees to cut down. Most were under 4 feet. The section with the larger trees was tiny and had no trees except some severely crooked ones or dried out. Very disappointing.

2019-12-01My family loved our visit to Santas Christmas Tree Farm! We had our heart set on cutting down our first real Christmas tree and were not disappointed! Not only did they have a beautiful selection of trees but they also had men to help cut them down including saws, wrapped them up, and put them on our car for us, it was such a huge help. The store has a beautiful selection of gifts, and ornaments you will not be disappointed. My daughter was a huge fan of the live animals and toy train to play on. They also had bouncy houses which if you have older kids would be perfect and you can also visit with Santa. I highly recommend a visit to the North Shore to check it out.

2020-12-12Such a festive and fun farm! It was my first time w my 7 and 9 yo and so much to do! Not just a fun tree experience but the cute farm animals, inviting firepit area, festive decor, Santa and bouncy area gave them so much to do! Went on a Friday and was not crowded. Thanks for helping us make memories!
