Finally after 2 years of waiting we got our dream “elopement” wedding in NY at The top of the Rock with Sascha and Jackie Reinking. They really made us feel so at ease during the complete day.The pictures are totally beyond our expectations and Sascha is a dream to work with, he knows just the right spots throughout New York City.If you’re looking for that special photographer, don’t look any further and while you’re at it, book Jackie to be your officiant, you won’t be disappointed!
Choosing Sascha to be our wedding photographer was the best decision we made. From the word go he was so friendly, full of information and always at the end of an email. I immediately got an amazingly friendly vibe from him to the point where I was so excited to meet him on our wedding day. The day was perfect. He is such a lovely and genuine person. Such a selfless person, we bumped into a celebrity on our wedding day and he took our photo with her without even a second thought of speaking to her or getting a selfie with her himself. He immediately put us both at ease and its like he read our minds with what we wanted. We wanted him to join us for the rest of the day by the end of our session. I cannot thank him enough. The photos are out of this world. Im in love with them. The creativity behind each picture is amazing as well. I honestly cannot recommend him and his wife Jackie enough. He really made our day so special.
We found Sascha for our engagement pictures and we’re so pleased with the results. He was so helpful with our questions in advance and was an excellent photographer and director throughout the shoot. He sent us some first sneak peaks a week after the shoot which was great for us to have for sending party invitations. Would 100% recommend Sascha for any photography needs!!
Choosing to work with Sascha was by far the best decision we made (short of getting married). His talent is unparalleled, his kind energy and humor made our wedding photo experience super comfortable and an absolute BLAST. He was flexible and patient with us (especially when I gave him an incorrect ceremony start-time and when the fire alarm and sprinkler system unexpectedly went off in our hotel 5 minutes before we were to begin taking photos). Sascha remained relaxed and light throughout the whole ordeal, and took it upon himself to organize and direct our first-look location and photographs, which turned out to be incredible. We gave him an idea of the type of photos and locations we had in mind, and he took care of the rest-- he knew exactly where to bring us and where to place us to ensure that each photo was authentic, memorable, and absolutely beautiful. He captured the spirit of our day and our love better than we could have even imagined. I wholeheartedly recommend Sascha to anyone who is in search of a wedding photographer. We even chose to work with his wife Jackie as our officiant, who was incredible in many of the same ways. They were (are) the dream-team. Sascha is the BEST, period. (P.S. My husband and I cannot recommend Sascha enough! As a bride forced to reschedule my big destination wedding due to covid, we completely changed plans, pivoting from a large ballroom wedding to small, intimate outdoor micro-wedding.We scoured reviews last minute to find the best options for local NYC vendors. Knowing I wouldn’t be investing in a videographer, my photographer was the most important vendor to capture our special day. Sascha was worth his weight in gold. Not only was he a wealth of NYC knowledge that helped us plan prior to our big day, but he also acted as our “day-of” coordinator in lieu of a formal planner. He was truly a pleasure to work with, and his skills behind the lens allow us to relive the emotions and highlights of the day forever! We received compliments from our guests about his ability to organize photo lineups without being too pushy. He has the ability to capture the emotion of the couple and families, but also nail the quintessential NYC shots (yellow cabs, iconic buildings, Central Park’s gems).Sascha is a true professional. Our gallery came in just over three weeks! We were already able to print our announcements and thank you cards (and it hasn’t even been a month since our ceremony).If you are getting married (no matter how big or small) in NY metro area, you will love working with Sascha! We intend to use him for future photo sessions (such as holiday and family).
Sascha was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day! We eloped in NYC and spend 3 hours after the ceremony traveling to different spots from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge. Sascha put us at ease and gave us simple, clear directions resulting in fabulous photos. We could not be more grateful for his kind, calm approach. I can’t say enough about how amazing Sascha was for us. He was super helpful and communicative when it came to booking and he was incredibly flexible and accommodating when it came to the pandemic causing us to push our wedding date. On our wedding day, he set up an incredible First Look and then made us both feel so comfortable so that he was able to capture genuine candids in amazing locations in Brooklyn. He also did an awesome job helping us speed through family photos and did an incredible job capturing the ceremony and festivities. Lastly, he got us our photos SO fast after the wedding! I would highly highly recommend working with Sascha!
My now-husband and I are two ex-actors who have a history of stress and pressure around taking photos and generally avoid the camera at all costs (weve both been known to lose sleep before photos). Buuuut, we also wanted to capture our special day, especially since it was a micro-wedding, so we could share it with others.Were creative types, so we were not only looking for a photographer who wed feel comfortable with, but also someone who had an eye. We didnt just want pretty posed photos, we wanted images that captured US and some unexpected artistic shots. And, I had an unasked for wish that our wedding photos would look like a magazine shoot.Oh, and kindness - working with nice humans - is a value of ours. Needless to say, we had a pretty tall order to fill!!Sasha filled this order and then some. Hes a master of his craft, with an incredible personality thats fun and engaging, yet also manages to step back for your day and moments. The photos we received checked every box off of our wish list (I even keep hearing that these look like they belong in a magazine and one of our photos won a photo of the week contest online).Sascha captured the two of us and our moment in such a special way - we can FEEL the love in the images and are immediately taken back. We have interesting, creative shots galore to choose from and actually feel excited to share. Sascha also helped navigate the day, finding the right spots at our wedding location in Central Park and even supplied bandaids for blisters! Sascha is incredible! He was our photographer (and witness) for a snowy winter wedding in Central Park. He made the experience feel fun and personal for us, and the photographs are gorgeous! He captured so many special moments, and weve been able to share them with our friends and family who couldnt be there with us. We are forever grateful and highly recommend!

We could not be happier to have chosen Sascha as our photographer for our wedding in Central Park. Sascha provided good guidance prior to the wedding on suggestions and ideas. On the day of the wedding he was very easy to work with, had great ideas for photo locations and also flexible and open to what we wanted. A true professional throughout the process. He captures great in the moments shots and also wonderful posed photos. We were originally going to taxi to our reception dinner close-by, but Sascha had a great suggestion we walk there and that resulted some truly great candid pictures with the bustling streets of NYC as the backdrop. Thank you Sascha for the gorgeous family photos! I was a little hesitant at first because of his focus on weddings and couples but Sascha did not disappoint! He was great with my 3-year-old daughter and we all had a great, relaxed photo shoot. If youre looking for a laid-back, professional photographer to capture your family I highly recommend Sascha. All of the photos he shared with me were gorgeous!
Both of us normally hate having pictures taken of us. However Sascha was incredible atputting us at ease. We had a great morning with him, and the resulting photos are excellent!
We got engaged in April and once we knew that it could be a while until we could have a large wedding celebration, we decided wed just do a small ceremony in NYC this summer. My only parameter was that we must have amazing photos to share.I had seen Saschas work as he had taken photos for my friends elopement ceremony a few years back and he was my first choice. He did not disappoint.He walked us through everything including how to navigate the marriage license process, some vendors to work with as well as referring us to Jackie for the ceremony. When we decided to stream the ceremony to our families days before the wedding, he didnt miss a beat and even brought a tripod for us to use.But the photos! When I say stunning, its an understatement. I was thrilled to see the way he captured the love between the two of us as well as our affection for the city. He really exceeded our expectations and we couldnt be happier.I would definitely recommend Sascha to anyone.
I truly cannot recommend Sasha more as a small wedding/elopement photographer.A friend had recommended him to us (she truly eloped) but he was willing and more than able to shoot our modest luncheon (50 guests) after a photo shoot of just us. For the photo shoot, we knew we wanted to be in DUMBO/BK Bridge, and he has plenty of experience in the area and knew all the best spots to stand to get gorgeous, dramatic photographs. Upon meeting him he immediately puts you at ease, and posing never feels forced with him.He was patient and polite with family when we took some posed shots (in the middle of a Brooklyn street, luckily closed to traffic), and everyone told us how much theyd lked him, as well.He sent us a video with highlights of photos 4 weeks to the day from the wedding, and the gallery the very next day, despite the end-of-year holidays happening in those weeks!Overall, we had the most fun, most us wedding--and Sasha was a huge part of not only capturing it but helping to create the right mood.
5 stars isn’t enough to describe my experience with Sascha! I was looking for a photographer to capture proposing to my girlfriend on the roof of my NYC apartment and a friend put me in touch with Sascha. His price was extremely reasonable and he was available and responsive on the days before the proposal to help calm my nerves and lock down the details. He reassured me that I shouldn’t worry about anything and that he would capture the moment and boy was he right! The photos that he took are not only artistically beautiful but also completely capture the emotion of the moment.
Trying to organize a photoshoot in the midst of a pandemic with the constantly changing travel restrictions and state regulations was stressful, but Sascha made the process so easy and it was an absolute delight working with him. He was so understanding when we had to reschedule a few times due to travel restrictions between states. He gave us some great photography location suggestions to choose from and worked with us on choosing the perfect time so we could have the sun hit us just right. We did some of our photos in central park and it was our first time there, he actually gave us a mini tour which was so thoughtful. Working with Sascha in person was a one-of-a-kind experience, he knew how to set the moment and took some amazing photos which were timed just perfectly. His work speaks for itself, you can see the amount of time and dedication he puts behind each photo and makes sure the couple is beyond satisfied with the experience. We were truly grateful to find Sascha when we did, and 100% recommend him to anyone who is looking. You’re going to love everything!
If you’re hesitating on booking Sascha, just do it! From the first email where I reached out to him (and all subsequent communication thereafter), he was perhaps the most polite person I’ve ever interacted with. His prices are extremely fair and his contracts and packages are both clear and easy to understand. He arrived at our agreed-upon time and place not only on time but early, and though I have no doubt the shoot was tiring, he was polite, courteous, and friendly the whole time, just as much in the final hour as he was in the first. Like many people who are proposing, I was pretty nervous, but he has this ability to make everything feel calmer and more relaxed. The photoshoot felt very “casual,” though from the way the pictures turned out you’d think they took hours of meticulous posing. When he was directing the photoshoot, I could immediately tell he knew what he was doing and we were in the hands of a consummate professional. We were doing something a little unusual—a planned double proposal—and he clarified that there wasn’t a surprise happening to ensure nothing would be spoiled. As a lesbian couple, he also made us feel very comfortable, which is important, especially because it can be nerve-wracking for a visibly queer couple to take kissing and romantic pictures in public. My fiancé/e is also non-binary (she/they) and he asked several times to clarify their name and pronouns, and even used her preferred name on the contract he made for us. One of the reasons I felt he might be “safe” for queer couples is he doesn’t just photograph then but openly displays them in his galleries and on his website, rather than photographing them “discreetly.” In person, I can honestly say he was exactly as safe as I imagined if not more so.
We absolutely LOVED our photos as well as the experience we had with Sascha on our wedding day. My husband and I film weddings for a living and have the opportunity to work with dozens of photographers every year. From the moment that we met Sascha & Jackie we knew there was something special about them. After being behind the camera with Sascha as well as in front of the camera, we can truly say that he is literally one of the best photographers in the entire industry. Sascha photographed our wedding ceremony in Central Park in October 2014. I’m American and my husband is German and we live in Alabama. We planned our wedding remotely and we and many of our 25 guests had to fly to NYC from across the USA and Germany. Sascha was incredibly helpful with planning! He Gave us great advice about locations and transportation. The day of our ceremony was overcast and slightly rainy. Sascha told us it was actually perfect for photos and it was, the colors were beautiful. He made us feel so at ease during both the ceremony and the photo shoot. As an added bonus, Sascha is fluent in German and was able to take group photos and communicate easily with our relatives from Germany, some of whom do not speak English. We really cherish the family photos we took that day and I’m glad Sascha was so accommodating. He made great use of the time we had and was able to capture striking photos of the 2 of us in Central Park, at Grand Central, and on the subway as we headed to our reception. He was efficient and our guests were not left waiting long (they had a cocktail hour while we took photos), and yet we didn’t feel rushed at all.Sascha is very knowledgeable about the NYC area and the wedding process. While he is great at elopements, I also highly recommend him for a traditional wedding ceremony like we had. Although our group was relatively small, Sascha was able to capture the traditional photos we wanted, as well as some unique and beautiful shots I never would have thought of.Sascha was always quick with communication, payment was easy, and we received our photos just as we were back from our honeymoon. If you are planning an event remotely he can give great advice!We now have 2 children and I plan to have Sascha take some updated family photos of us whenever we make it back to NYC! Sascha was the perfect choice for our small wedding with family on a rooftop in NYC. He was extremely clear and communicative before, during, and after the wedding ceremony - offering vital suggestions and guidance around everything from possible venues, great angles and lighting for pictures, and even how to tie ties and pin flowers on the day of. He immediately made us as well as our guests feel comfortable, and he became part of the celebration.The pictures of course came out incredibly well, and will be a set of images that we will remember and cherish forever. Theyre a perfect encapsulation of us a couple and the incredible day. Sacha is more than a great photographer -- hes a great person who helped us bring to life the day that we envisioned. Sascha did an absolutely wonderful job as our wedding photographer! He was easy and fun to work with, and all of the photos are stunning.We chose Sascha because we knew that he was very familiar with our chosen locations (elopement on the steps of the New York Public Library, then more photos in/around Grand Central). This proved to be a great idea, because he knew where all the best shots could be taken and we felt like we got great value from our approx. 1 hour session.We also really appreciated Saschas guidance on how to pose for the more formal shots (as we have never had professional photos taken before!) and also his ability to capture some of the more casual and emotional moments.

We were really happy with how our photos came out from our Central Park wedding. We liked the aesthetic of Saschas photos that we saw on his website and his Instagram and looked no further. He does a great job at capturing emotion through photos. Everyone we shared our photos with complimented how well they turned out and said our photographer did a great job. On top of that, Sascha is a delight to work with. He easy going, earnest and you can tell he cares a lot about the quality of his work. Every couple is different, and Sascha is very adaptable to the vibe of the event, whether casual or black tie. We worked with him afterwards to touch up some photos and he really listened to what we wanted. We also worked with him to create a fine art album and were happy with the layout he created of our favorite photos. Sascha is great, highly recommend. We will hire him again for family photos.
We had the best day getting married in New York and we could not have asked for a better photographer than Sascha. He was friendly, professional and put us at ease right from the start. I found Sascha through WeddingWire and was lucky enough to be able to lock him in for my wedding date. He was able to create a photography package that worked for me which was also a plus. On the day of, he was so patient with all of our families running around for pictures. But, he truly shined when it was just me and my husband. Sascha took into account the lighting (we shot outside in a park), and our positioning. From there, he told us to act naturally, talk, and have fun. The pictures came out gorgeous and we received them quickly. I couldnt have imagined how good they would look. Totally exceeded my expectations. My friends, family, and co-workers were all commenting on how magical everything looked. Sascha is a true professional. If youre wondering who to pick, please pick him! We booked Sascha for our elopement to NYC and was truly the best decision we made (apart from getting married of course!). From the outset Sascha replied to emails promptly and gave us all the information we needed to make an informed choice. We live in the UK so booking any vendors from afar, without the chance to meet them in advance was a bit scary, but from that first email I knew we were in good hands.On the day itself Sascha was a pleasure to work with. Neither of us have ever been professionally photographed but he made us feel like it was the most natural thing in the world to be posing in Central Park and Grand Central Terminal in wedding gear! We had so much fun in the four hours we spent with Sascha and we both keep saying we wish we could do it again.And then there are the photos. Wow! I knew they would be good but we were blown away by how good. What a fantastic photographer!!! Sascha more than exceeded our expectations! It’s always hard booking your wedding photographer who lives on a different continent and you communicate only via emails, but rest assure, no need to worry! We got exactly what we wanted and even more!! His photos tell the story and capture our special secret elopement perfectly! We even managed to do 2 locations in the city!! If you are thinking of getting married in NYC, Sascha IS THE BEST photographer out there!!! So easy going and he even carried my bag on the day so we could get a good “walking” photo! Nevermind his numerous photo equipment bags he was already carrying! Just amazing!!! Make sure you book in advance though, he gets booked out very quickly!! Sascha is amazing! From the first time we saw his work on Instagram, we knew this was our guy! It was love at first sight with this wonderful professional. Not only he is the best photographer in NYC, he is also a great human being who goes trough the entire elopement experience with you. He shared all the information and contacts we needed to get started with the planning of our adventure. He advised us but also let us decide on what we wanted. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and that has so much to do with the Reinkings! The ceremony delivered by Jackie was beautiful, she has an amazing way with words and made the service feel very warm and personal. Sascha is an unbelievably talented photographer, I think his photos speak for themselves but the way he put us all at ease and made it fun is truly genius.I actually discovered Sascha when googling how to elope in NY and the couple have so much insight and advice in how to work out the process as well as ideas for great venues.All our siblings have said when they get married they want you two to do it...! We cannot thank Jackie& Sascha enough. They are both so special at what they do and together its like dynamite. If you are thinking of getting married in NY I cannot recommend these two enough.

Sascha gave us loads of information on eloping in NYC prior to our arrival. He made our wedding day as stress free as possible. We used his recommendations for hair/makeup and flowers, and again, he really hit the mark with those too.We had a bit of a mishap at city hall (technical difficulties at their end), and Sascha remained calm and offered multiple options for proceeding with our wedding day.We ended up having the most amazing day, and a great story to tell. Our photos are EXACTLY what we wanted, and he made the day as easy as possible. We didn’t feel like we had to pose and be really awkward for too much of the day. Honestly, just book Sascha right now and dont think twice about it--he is the best! Working with Sascha was an absolute joy. I fell in love with his photojournalistic style as soon as I saw his photos online, but still the photos he captured of our elopement in New York City were more beautiful than I could have imagined. Sascha uses his knowledge of architecture to take his photography to the next level and give you not only stunning photos, but gorgeous keepsakes of the city. I received so many compliments on our photos and everyone adored his unique style. Working with Sascha was the smartest decision we made while planning our intimate wedding. Our tour around New York City with Sascha was one of the most fun parts of our day. He knows the city extremely well, is hilarious to talk to, and is willing to do anything (even step into traffic and run through a marathon) to get a great shot. Since we were planning our elopement from out of state, he was extremely helpful in referring us to hair and makeup stylists, floral recommendations, etc. He is so fun and joyful to be around on your special day, no matter the event. We came to New York to elope from Australia. As it was only my partner and myself present for the ceremony it was ideal having the combination of a husband and wife team officiate and photograph our ceremony. The fact that they were a couple made our ceremony feel intimate and like we had two good friends with us.Both Sascha and Jackie are such warm, lovely people and make you feel at ease in the planning process and on the day. Sascha even had a sewing kit on hand and sewed the button back on my partners jacket for him. It was a cold wintry NYC day when we got married and Sascha was always waiting with my jacket to help me put it back on after each photo. These little touches do not go unnoticed and make you realize you chose the right people to share your day with.We have had SO MANY compliments on our photos and they turned out so wonderfully and beyond our greatest expectations. On a beautiful and slightly snowy day in Soho, Sascha captured my wedding day. It is a day I’m sure to not forget. My husband and I were married by his gorgeous wife, Jackie, at Lady Mendl’s. My wife and I were married 3 years ago and we eloped in NYC. She found Sascha and his wife online and booked them to do our wedding photos, and his wife was also our officiant for our ceremony. We planned to get married in Central Park at dusk, however, the NYC weather did not cooperate and we were rained out. We ended up having to get married in a small room in the hotel. However having said that, we still were able to have a nice ceremony, and Sascha took us to several locations around the city where we could still take photos even when it was raining (like Grand Central station.) I wish we could have had more outdoor photos (no fault of Saschas) and my wife was able to have her Central Park wedding as she dreamed of, but I would 100% recommend him if you want amazing photos. Not only is he a great photographer, he is genuinely one of the NICEST people you will ever meet! Maybe for our 5th anniversary we will book Sascha again, and maybe this time the weather will cooperate for some Central Park photos :) #TeamReinking!

2022-07-11Sascha is wonderful. He made us feel so at ease during our photo shoot (which was no small feat--we were outside in 95 degree weather for hours!) and his photos are gorgeous. He had us laughing for hours and has lots of great stories and comments to make the hours fun. He takes natural rather than portrait photos (think you and your partner laughing together rather than looking at the camera and smiling stiffly). Also, hes incredibly experienced and creative--we could tell that he had lots of ideas and inspiration for photos that would come out beautifully, and he managed a wonderful balance of being fun and entertaining, yet professional, efficient, and confidence inspiring. We are a queer couple, and Id definitely recommend him to other queer couples--he was respectful, joyous, and used our pronouns. He got our photos back to us exactly when he said he would and our communication was easy leading up to the ceremony. When we look back on our wedding day, we will remember some of the funny stories he hold to make us laugh, how much fun we had, and his joyous energy. He made the day more wonderful.

He was super friendly, calm, dedicated and knew exactly what he needed to do to get the best pictures done. To add to this, we were surprised to see our pictures delivered to use within two weeks. He was extremely easy to book with, answered all of our questions beforehand, and made the process as seamless as possible.On the day of the shoot, Sascha was extremely flexible and knows all the best spots (and angles) to stop and get the perfect photos. Sascha used his magic to make our young child to cooperate so the photos of our family of three plus the bump came out great! Sachas photos are not only beautiful that captured the happy moments of our family, but also creatively executed with an artistic touch. Lastly, his rate is also very reasonable given his talent. 2022-07-23We feel so lucky to have found Sascha to capture our Vow Renewal in New York City.We contacted him from the UK - communication via email was very prompt and thorough.On the day, Sascha gave us great advice on where to go and gave us direction to help get the best pictures. But it never felt rigid or staged, just relaxed and fun!We were unlucky to have a downpour of heavy rain at the exact time our ceremony should have started in Central Park. Sascha helped get us out of the rain and worked flexibly around the weather to ensure we still got the maximum from our session.We are absolutely thrilled with our final gallery that arrived by email with a gorgeous slideshow to music within just two weeks.The photos are beyond what we could have imagined. :)
