Called and talked to Eric Sasso after I went to another local Dodge dealer that was giving me such a great deal I couldnt possibly refuse...Well we did and it turned out we saved $50 a month (yes a month) by going with Sawyer.Everyone at Sawyer was friendly and we felt like they wanted to get our business without being pushy. They had our car with all the features we wanted located and available for pickup in a few days. Thanks again to everyone that helped!
I don’t usually write these but I felt it necessary as Sawyer Motors was absolutely awesome with me this past week. I was in Saugerties for a weekend getaway and had an issue with my JEEP. Nick was super helpful and responsive. He and his team got my car in and out and got me back on the roads to enjoy my vacation. Thanks a ton Sawyer Motors!
We ran over a nail on the highway last Friday (on a long-distance trip) and received excellent service from Sawyer. Our car is new and a four-wheel drive vehicle (so replacing four tires b/c of one flat was painful) - after much deliberation among three members of the repair team, they determined that b/c the car had so little mileage, one new tire would probably be sufficient. We ended up replacing all four, but I appreciated them not trying to up-sell us. We were back on the road within an hour. I was VERY glad they were open!
Wonderful and informed staff. Brandon Brocco was a wonderful change of pace from the typical sales associate. He was patient, helpful and went out of his way to meet both my price and selection without any push or shady extras that I was use to dealing with.I thoroughly enjoyed the retro aesthetic of the showroom floor. Sawyers love of cars and the history of the automotive industry is sincere and I will be returning for all my future automotive purchases.
I went to Sawyer for the first time last week to help my mom trade in her old car and lease a new Jeep. I cannot say enough good things about our experience from start to finish. Having previously gone solo to a nearby competitor, my mom was feeling defeated, ignored and uncertain about the financial aspect of everything on both sides. When it comes to the car buying experience, Sawyer checks off all the boxes:-attentive, equitable, efficient service-knowledgeable, *trustworthy*, genuine sales and support team-the process was at our own tempo; efficient and on point, without feeling rushed-great selection with accessible prices and different options to suit your budget and needsWe worked with Brandon and also spoke with the sales manager, Ray, both of whom were respectful, *extremely* knowledgeable and all around just good guys. Brandon works quickly to ensure things are done in a timely fashion while allowing you enough time to feel comfortable with your decisions. He’s patient, on point, fun to work with and kind.Perhaps most importantly, this is a team who wants you to be happy and the experience restored my faith in the car sales industry in general.Lastly, it should be noted that the owner was not only at the dealership, but made my mom a cup of coffee and chatted briefly about the unbelievable collection of restored collectible antiques without saying a word about being the owner or cars.Good people deserve loyal customers and they’ve have gained a whole family of new fans with us!
Without getting into details, I want to commend owner Bob Sirucasano and his daughter Macy Sirucasano for speaking to me about a concern I had with actions by one of their employees. Bob and Macy immediately got back to me, thanked me for sharing what I had witnessed and assured me that he would address the issue immediately with the employee. It was clear that Bob (who I mostly spoke to) is a caring and concerned human being with the utmost integrity who wants to ensure that his business and its employees can be proud members of the Saugerties community. If you care about the character of the businesses you deal with, Sawyer Motors is clearly top notch.
This is my second Cherokee from Sawyer Motors. The experience was just like the first. No BS.More than fair on my trade. I have a unique perspective. I was a General Sales Manager of a Subaru dealer in Boulder Co and LA for 25 years. I know all the tricks and there was never the slightest hint of anything other than straight answers, knowledgeable sales people (Eric) and never any pressure. And by the way, the Jeep I traded in was the most trouble free car Ive ever owned. The service department was also as good as it gets. Ive never needed repairs but my oil changes never took more than 20-25 minutes without an appointment. Ive sent several friends to Sawyer over the last few years, and they all had the same experience as me.
Macy was fantastic to deal with and answered any and all questions I had. There was NEVER any pressure to buy and the numbers were well inside my budget, without even mentioning what my budget was. The day I pick up my new 2020 Ram took less than 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who might be looking for a new vehicle to stop in.
Just picked up my Pro Master City! This was a used van that Sawyer did an amazing job of prepping. This is probably the 10th vehicle that I have purchased from Sawyer. They have always treated me with the Friendly Saugerties attitude and I would not buy a car anywhere else.I know that Matt Davies and the service gang will keep it running. Thanks Jason and Bob for the great experience!
There was a single cab I was interested in the web sales person I talked to told me she would get pictures of the truck for me because there was none on the website. I wrote her an email about the pictures and texted her with no response. After 2 days I look on the website and the truck was gone. The person said it was in service and when it was done she would send me pictures so I can make a decision but never got back to me. Horrible service and caring about there customers even could not contact me and say it was gone. Especially when I told her my truck was dead and needed a new one ASAP
Always such a pleasure dealing with the sawyers family team. This is our second experience with them. Their is No fuss, no run-a-round pricing, or vehicle styles ever pushed on you. Sawyers give you a family friendly atmosphere. Their service dept. is second to none. Always available and always willing to help. I would strongly recommend their services to anyone. If you stop in - make an effort to stop by Macy’s desk and tell her Joe sent yah ...
We have been buying cars from Sawyer for over fifteen years and we drive an hour and a half from CT to service the cars there. The sales department (our guy is Sal), the service department (Dan and Justin are our usual contacts) and the overall attitude are exactly what a car dealership should be- friendly, professional, customer oriented, knowledgeable. And- they are community minded, which is heart warming.
After dealing with the run around from another dealer we contacted sawyers and spoke with Ray Tucker. At 3pm on Thursday, had an approval by 4:15pm. We went and test drove the car which was immaculate, perfect condition! They let us test drive it by ourselves, we came back & talked to Maci. We told her we definitely wanted it, and fell in love with the car. We asked if the mud flaps could be taken off, if there was two keys and they knew the answer to every question with no hesitations. Maci asked when we wanted to pick it up we said Friday after work. They went above and beyond for the deal, the numbers, and the car. Friday the car was ready, detailed perfectly, warmed up, running with the plates on it all ready to go for us. The dealership closed at 7, we hit some traffic on the thruway and were running late. They stayed late for us with no problems. We walked in signed the paperwork within less then 10 minutes and we were done. Best and easiest car deal/buying experience we have ever experienced. Ray, Maci, Jerry & Brandon all made us feel important and like family. We bought our new car in less then 24 hours. We will forever go back to Sawyers, we are very thankful for them, the way we were treated and how easy they made this for us.
Ten years of incredible service. You walk in and see Matt and Jim and maybe Wayne in his office and Cheyenne and Danny at Express Counter. These people take care of you. They have a huge amount of experience. They want you happy and they deliver. I’ve had lots of warranty work and it’s always done right and on time. Loaner cars were nearly new and never a problem. No other dealer around has better service. They work tirelessly to keep you as a loyal customer. I live 40 miles away and I won’t go anywhere else.
Over the last 30 years, I have had about 20 vehicles in my name and have dealt with at least a dozen service shops and I can say without any doubt that Sawyer Motors service department has been above them all in friendliness, honesty, workmanship and fairness. And there waiting room is nice- they always have free snacks and coffee available.
Great service department!!! I have an older Dodge Magnum that had an airbag recall. I called for an appointment on Friday afternoon and they scheduled the repair for Monday morning. The service personnel was courteous, fast and professional! I would highly recommend Sawyer Motors for all your automotive needs.
Everyone from the sales team to after sales service has been the absolute best! I bought my 2014 jeep wrangler new from them at a good honest price, had some warranty work done recently and Matt in service took care of it in a very timely and professional manner. I highly recommend Sawyer Motors.
0 stars. Awful very disappointing service. 1 day warranty work turned into 4 days. Without calling me. I had to take my car to mechanic right after. Pay him to tear it down and replace bushings. Fix the hole the dealer put in exhaust and resecure under panel they left hanging down. If they would have just told me !!!! Also They said my battery was dead needed to pay 160 for new one. My battery was fine. Just needed an new connector ring. Cost me a dollar to fix with a friend.
Weve leased two Jeeps from Macy in the 9 short months that weve lived in New York. We had such a positive experience with her after leasing my husbands SUV that we decided to go back a few months later to trade in my old Jeep.Weve purchased and leased many vehicles in the past, and have never left a dealership actually feeling happy about the way we were treated until we met Macy. Shes a real person, who understands that you have real concerns and feelings when it comes to buying a vehicle.Theres zero pressure, and you get the sense that the entire sales team genuinely wants you to find the right vehicle for the right price that will make you happy. They dont push you into anything (shocking for a dealership!), and really take the time to answer all of your questions. They even let me trade in my old Jeep that I didnt have a title for (long story) in good faith that I would get the title to them eventually after working things out with the DMV. The amount of trust and respect they have for their customers is incredible.Well be doing all of our future Jeep business with Macy for these reasons, and cant recommend her enough!
Sawyers Motors and the People that are employed there are MAGNIFICENT!! Bob the owner is an amazing individual himself! Bob is such an easy going guy to work with.. I am lost in words for his outstanding helpfulness! Jason Sasso was my sales guy.. Easy, helpful, no pressure and knowledgeable.. Great guy!! And last but not least John the service manager.... This guy does it all!! Cool, calm and collective... Again I am lost in words with this guy! You name it JOHN does it!! Bob couldnt ask for a better Manager in the service department.... If you were to ask me my overall opinion on Sawyers Motors I would say OVERALL BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL!!! KUDOS TO SAWYERS!!!
Ive never had a more enjoyable, fast, easy, no stress car buying experience in my LIFE and I get a new vehicle every 2 or 3 years. It was extremely easy and fast. I shared how much I could put down and wanted to pay and it was done. No haggling. I also loved the feeling of family you get from every person in the shop.
Fun atmosphere and staff. Everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with no pressure to buy. They always have a great selection of vehicles from practical to powerful and everything in between. The owner Bob Siracusano does a lot of great things for the community, including an awesome car show (held in July) donating all to local charities, love that! Purchased three vehicles in 2016, two new, one used, will definitely buy from them again.
I first contacted this Dealership about a pre-owned Jeep that was on their site and listed at Car Gurus. This was on a Sunday and they open up the sales dept 11-2pm. Michelle on reception could not put me on to a salesperson immediately , and promised a call back to me. A sales person (Macy Siracusano) soon called me. The Jeep was a new arrival to them and Macy gathered all the info for me. I was pleased with what I heard about the vehicle and very pleased with the salesperson attention to details and her efforts to help me. I was definitely interested.Several more phone calls took place on Monday and I left from New Paltz to see the car. When I arrived I was greeted with a specialty coffee and welcomed by the Dealer principal. Macy had the car in the shop receiving a detailing. The preowned Jeep was perfect!I was delighted with the whole experience. I would highly recommend this Car Dealership to anyone knowing they would receive the best care.Regards Bob Besner
Excellent!! We were traveling to Woodstock for what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend when suddenly my 2018 Wranglers engine light began to blink! We had an engine misfire! With no other alternative of getting back home (3 hours away), we became nervous/stressed. Having to think fast, we found the closest Jeep Service Center and came across Sawyer Motors. The SM team exceeded my expectations on all levels and were able to have the car ready in no time! Thank you again!!
My husband and I recently leased a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country from Sawyer Motors in Saugerties, NY. Our sales person was Eric Sasso and he seamlessly handled our purchase from start to finish. Eric was polite and friendly making it a very relaxed and fun experience. He tailored his service to accommodate our every need. The finance manager Jerry Landi was very easy to work with, he was very professional and understanding. We truly feel both gentlemen we considerate of our financial position were willing to work with us to make a deal we were comfortable making. My husband and I are amazed that there is a dealership that is so warm and inviting. Over the course of doing business her we never felt pressured, bombarded, or taken advantage of, which are all things other dealerships have made us feel. Instead we felt respected, catered to, and trusted as customers. We plan on dealing with Sawyer Motors and Eric for all our future needs.Overall we enjoyed our car buying experience and are extremely happy with our new purchase. We liked the old fashioned feel of the dealership. We liked being able to test drive the vehicle on our own, so we were free to talk about features and finances. We liked that all the employees were upbeat and seemed to really work together.Thank you Eric and the rest of he staff at Sawyer Motors! Keep up the good
The only reason I am giving sawyer 2 stars is because of the sales team. They were amazing when I bout the vehicle. The service department at Sawyer is terrible. I brought my vehicle in for a couple problems the first time, one being the sunroof not auto closing. They couldnt figure out the problem initially and had to consult with an engineering department for further instruction. Once they received further instructions on how to fix the issue, an appointment was made. I was told I would receive a rental car and it would be a day or two. When I picked up the rental car is when the problems began. They have me a vehicle with next to no brakes. When I brought the vehicle back the man at the service department told me that they dont know these things unless customers tell them. The brakes squealed as soon as you tapped them so you cant tell me you didnt know they were going/gone bad. The rental I picked up then had no dash lights, the passenger window stuck and had suspension issues. Again when I dropped it off to pick up my vehicle I told the man the issues with the car and his response was the same. Not even the slightest hint of an apology that I was given 2 vehicles that werent in any shape to be driven. When I got in my own vehicle after being in the shop for almost a week, I realize the red light for the 911 assist button is illuminated. After an inspection of my headliner I notice it is very loose and there are a few dig marks in one area. I have had this vehicle for 6 months and paid a great deal of money for it. It should be in perfect condition when I receive the vehicle back. When I called today to tell them my issues, again there is no apology about the state my vehicle was given back to me. I dont feel the service department has customer satisfaction in mind in anything they do. I am not pleased at all.
I showed up an hour before the service department closed on a Saturday, and the service advisor Cheyenne took me right in. I had my tires & wheels balanced, and when the technician was done he came over and explained how out of balance each tire was. It was really helpful because I purchased cheap mud tires online and the technician informed me that one of the tires is out of round.
If I could give more stars I would. I have been working with Macy for the past month and she has dealt with all of my crazy wants and needs. She found me EXACTLY what I was looking for and once all the little details were sorted out she got me into this car in a matter of hours. The staff was extremely nice and professional to my parents and I. I will definitely be returning one day as well as sending all of my friends and family to this place!! Thank you so much!
The most interesting car dealership Ive been to, wall to wall collection of antiques from gas station pieces, to jukeboxes, arcade games, a 50s diner setup, a rebuilt military jeep and a whole lot more. To top that off the staff is friendly and accommodating, overall great experience!
When we got there for only an oil change, they told us it would be an hour and a half from start to finish because there were 4 people in front of us. I really needed it to be done because we will be traveling and I needed a new oil plug so we waited it out. We waited for two hours for an Express Oil change to be done. About $50 later, my husband looked at the paperwork and asks me if they said anything to me about a leak. I looked at him and asked what he was talking about and he said they wrote on page 3 of the report that oil and transmission pan is seeping and there is an engine and transmission leak. I am still completely amazed that we were there for 2 hours and something is leaking and yet you dont say a word??????? I never went there much for service to begin with due to time constraints (its about 20 mins each way and not always conducive with my schedule) but now I will definitely not be going back since they did not even bother to tell me that there is a potential issue after us waiting for 2 hours.
Worst. Service. Ever.Took my new used truck in for transmission replacement while still under warranty. They took over a month to repair it (a single loan payment is $500), even after multiple unreturned calls to check and complain. I got it back only after finally calling the manufacturer for help. When I went to pick it up, the entire staff gave me dirty looks and didnt say a word to me. Come to find out that they intentionally broke a tire sensor, which, apparently, is something dirty that shady shops do. Ive got a warning light that is constantly on now until I pay to have it fixed.Stay far far away from this place, if you have any sense. The older guy that drove the courtesy vehicle was cool, redeeming the single star Im forced to give.
Had a problem with my vehicle they gave me a loaner car for the entire time they tried to figure it out after they and Jeep could not the dealership went to bat for me and it took time but they made it happen and I got a new Jeep and kept my same payment. Amazing sales people and owner I will stand by Sawyer motors and buy all my cars there till I move or all my life !!!! 10 out of 10

2021-11-01The staff here is absolutely amazing. From the second I walked in I felt good energy. Mike helped me with getting the perfect car. He was honest about what I may not need to make it affordable for me. He was very patient with me and helping me make last minute changes and kept me updated throughout the process. He didn’t make me feel like I was annoying him or bothering him ever which I usually feel when buying a car. I almost am never fully happy with a buying process and I can honestly say this was the best experience ever. Don’t have a single complaint! I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

2022-06-11Tried to discuss a purchase with the sales department. Couldnt even get a response after multiple follow up emails and stopping by in-person. I have impeccable credit score and am financially able to successfully finance a loan. No negative equity. Had trade-in and down payment. Apparently they didnt like it when you say you are shopping around.Sales person nice to your face and initial contact, but that was it.I would never recommend this place to anyone. They clearly want to sell to a select group of individuals, and apparently I do not fit the mold. Its extremely unprofessional not to at least send an email to say you cant or arent willing to make a deal. Unfortunately thats all to common with how bad dealerships operate. Thanks for wasting my time. Thats what irritates me most. Goes to show what makes a good dealership and a bad one. Plus, I notice how all the positive reviews are from two plus years ago. There must be a reason. Wish I noticed that tidbit before wasting time here.

2021-12-06Everyone there was very pleasant. No high pressure to buy a vehicle. Gave me the information and let me decide with no pressure! This was THE most pleasant experience I have ever had buying a vehicle!!! THANK YOU!!! And the showroom was a blast! I thoroughly enjoyed looking at everything there.

2021-10-13From the moment we walked in the door to purchase another Jeep, everything was awesome. Ray is always willing to help with every aspect of your purchase. Always a pleasure... Anthony was amazing as well... spent time with us going over the new features in the 2021 High Altitude Overland. Loved working with both of them! And of course seeing Bob Siracusano is always a bonus! Sawyer Motors is the place to buy your Jeep!!!

2018-07-17I drove by two other Dodge dealerships to get to Sawyer. Jasson went above and beyond to get me what I needed at a fair price. I’ve also dealt with Sal, who’s equally as great! The whole experience was one of the few positives I’ve had while vehicle shopping. (And I’ve bought many over the years) the vehicle itself, promaster, hasn’t disappointed.... the employee who drives it is much more efficient with the extra room and reliability... he’s also driving in comfort with latest technology.

2021-12-11A few months ago I was talking to my neighbor about cars and he asked me if I felt Saugerties was far away. I replied, no not really and then he highly recommended stopping at Sawyer Motors next time I was in the car market. He said it was a small town atmosphere and he felt like a person when he was there. He said there was none of the shenanigans that usually take place at dealerships. He told me he dealt with a woman named Macy. I respect this man’s opinion so I kept that in mind. Fast forward to last month and I test drove a few cars and made a deal on a vehicle at a dealership very close to my house. I paid a deposit but after I returned home I thought about the color I chose. I chose it because they didn’t have the color I really wanted equipped just as I wanted. Then I remembered what my neighbor said. I emailed Sawyer motors to inquire if they had the color I want and the options they want. They did. I ended up staying w the local deal because they were the first to honor a discount program that I was a part of. Macy also said she would honor it and gave me what the sales price would be after discount. I never compared the two figures. I thought they would be the same because they both honored the program. What I didn’t realize was the the local dealer didn’t give me the right discount. They gave me far less off than I should have gotten. They fixed it after I realized it and brought it to their attention. Because of this error I got an offer for another discount. This time I went right to Sawyer Motors. Macy was super friendly and I was shocked at how she treated me. She was totally transparent. Recommended I trade my vehicle in to Carmax because their offer was more than what she could offer. She held the car for me without wanting a deposit. She was patient while I cleared up some dmv issues with a title on a car I was looking to trade or sell. She even offered to help have the title rushed even though I said I’d be selling it to Carmax. Macy was bending over backwards to assist me anyway she could. I really appreciated that. When I went to pick up the vehicle I liked the dealership was easy to get to. Macy met me in the showroom and she was busy preparing bunch of toys for a local event they participate in for disadvantaged families and first responders. These were very nice toys and sneakers. I was impressed. I was impressed that an owner was hands on and setting that up. I liked that she dealt with me as a person and you didn’t get the feel that’s “the owner”. She spoke to me like a friend. Asked me how my title issue went even though that had nothing to do with our transaction at this point. She introduced me to Mike who handled the paperwork and then went to the car and explained the features of the car. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He wasn’t in a hurry. He was a nice guy who thought of everything. Even giving me those 3m strips for the ezpass for the new car that I’d have to replace from taking the ezpass out of my old car. Keep in mind that Macy didn’t have to participate in this discount program. Many dealers refuse to do so in this car shortage era. They know they don’t have to. They want to make as much money as they can, some are selling cars at well above msrp sticker price by like $5000-$10000. Macy wasn’t trying to find ways to make more money off me. It was the EXACT OPPOSITE. She was trying to SAVE me money. There was no attempt to upsell or sell extended warranties or car protection plans etc. My local dealer I went to did. They even added it in to the sale price and nonchalantly mentioned it when going over the figures the day before I picked it up. When he got to that point I said nope don’t want that and “he said really?? It’s great”. That didn’t happen at Sawyer Motors. After the error that was made at the first dealer and that talking to Macy actually saved me a lot of money in that first purchase,I regret not buying the first car from her too. Oh on my hour drive home Macy called me to thank me for coming out. Great experience ! Highly recommend!

2021-07-31Best dealership around period! Took my Ram ecodiesel in for a 100k service, Greg the tech found an issue with the transmission and had it up and running smooth as glass! Dan the writer went way above and beyond protocol to make sure everything was good and I couldnt be happier!! Sawyer motors has definitely gained a customer for life. I seriously dont know why I didnt go to them from the get go.
