Child friendly. Staff, dentist, techs, everyone is pleasant & friendly. Waiting area has a tv with a kid friendly movie. Games, books, bright colors, really kid friendly.
Dr. Matt, Dr. Lindsey, along with their staff have my highest recommendation. They are incredibly experienced in their work and some of the most caring individuals I have had the privilege to meet. Dr. Matt’s patience, fine attention to detail, and ability to empathize with his patients distinguishes his practice as far above others. Dr. Matt holds his work at a very high standard. With every experience, I was met with smiles, had my questions answered, and was well taken care of.I have truly not been to another practice as welcoming, honest, and genuine as this one. Will time and time again wholeheartedly and confidently recommend. :)

My parents just took me to get braces at Battiste Orthodontics, and as soon as I sat down in that chair, I knew how well I was going to be taken care of by Dr. Matt and the Team Members. The front desk staff greeted us with a smile, and once I sat down, the assistant showed me what her instruments did and how she uses them. Dr. Matt Battiste was very efficient, and was able to put my braces on quickly and did a very good job of it. Overall, the office is very efficient, kid friendly and experienced at providing exceptional care.

Easily accessible clean friendly environment 😊 my son loved the games in the waiting room, the staff was very patient and kind to him as he chatted their ears off(he talks A LOT) It was a wonderful experience, and my son actually cant wait for his next cleaning. 🤗
My children LOVE Dr. Lindsey. My oldest has anxiety when it comes to DRs but with Dr. Lindsey and only her she is at ease! I wouldn’t go any where else for my children and the care for their teeth! I also have had braces on from Dr.Matt and I wouldn’t trust any one else to straighten my teeth but him! Dr Matt and Dr Lindsey are an exceptional team!!!
We have had such a wonderful experience at Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry and Battiste Orthodontics! Dr. Matt is always so kind and welcoming. Two of my daughters see him for their braces and my oldest just had hers taken off. Her smile is so beautiful! Dr. Lindsey is also so sweet and awesome with the kids. She has a great sense of humor and immediately made my kids feel comfortable. Everyone who works in the office is friendly, fun and good at what they do! The office is clean, appointments are quick and efficient, wait times for appointments are never long and scheduling is a breeze. We are so happy to have found this practice!

My daughter (4.5) was nervous after having unpleasant experiences at the dentist but was immediately comfortable here. The child friendly waiting room is awesome and we can’t wait to be able to enjoy it (arcade is closed due to Covid). The Hygientist was friendly and patiently explained all the equipment. Dentist herself was quick and engaging and had my daughter comfortable enough to get a set of bitewing X-rays. I’m very happy with my choice.
Great place! The dentist and the hygienists are amazing with my 7 year old daughter! Especially when she had to have an extensive oral surgery at 3 years old! The atmosphere of the office is great! There are multiple TVs to keep the little ones occupied while in the chair. Always playing cute movies for the kiddos!
Our family loves Battiste Orthodontics! We met with 3 orthodontists when our daughter needed braces and we are so glad that we went with Dr. Matt. We knew as soon as we left our consultation appointment that this was the orthodontist we would end up choosing. April was great during the entire consultation and answered all of the questions that we had. The entire staff is so friendly and they are always very welcoming! They are also very flexible if you ever need to change your appointment and they have late hours so that my daughter doesnt have to miss out on any after school activities. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room. We had an 5:30 appointment just last night and we were there for less than 20 minutes. I especially like that Dr. Matt comes out after each appointment and asks us if we have any questions or concerns. He seems like he genuinely cares about each of his patients and it shows! Our daughter has had braces for just over 6 months and here teeth look amazing! I cant wait to see what the end result is. If our other children need braces we will definitely choose this practice again. If you are in need of a great orthodontist or a pediatric dentist look no further!
There are bean bag chairs and areas for children. There is a dino theme with stickers on the steps and a hate by the stairs so children dont escape. Very kid friendly
We have been very pleased with our experiences here. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Lindsey offers exceptional, innovative dental care. We travel 1 1/2 hours to go here, as our two youngest daughters have needed additional dental care that only a pediatric dentist could provide. Dr. Lindsey has done a superb job, has a very nice way with children (under quite challenging circumstances), and took the fear out of it for our children. We are, and will always be, very grateful.
I began taking my children to this practice as I wasn’t thrilled with the experience with other pediatric dentists in the area and was searching for somewhere I could bring our kids that they didn’t dread going to. Found this practice online while researching many places and decided to give them a try. Added bonus was that I was having trouble with my oldest daughters orthodontist and the way her teeth looked after three years in braces.... this practice also has Dr. Matt, a very caring orthodontist! So, I brought my kids in for an initial cleaning with Dr. Lindsey and they actually are excited to go to the dentist! I have never had the kids once tell me they like to go to the dentist! So refreshing. Love the practice so much that I started bringing my one year old there to get her first “cleaning” and get acquainted with Dr Lindsey. Dr. Matt went to work right away to fix my older daughters teeth and the improvement has been amazing! I can’t say enough great things about this practice. They are so caring and amazing with my kids. I highly recommend!
We have been going here for several years now. My daughter was really shy as a toddler and doctor spots were tough, the Dr and staff were amazing and we have been there since. Now we are into braces (amazing consultation and honest). The office is willing to work with me on scheduling orthodontist and Dental cleanings. Very kid friendly environment, my daughter wants to to the dentist so she can watch movies play video games and relax on the furniture. Highly recommend
I couldn’t possibly be more pleased with the experience. My child genuinely looks forward to her visits.The doctors and staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They take the time to review X-rays instantly, have in depth discussions, and discuss options. My daughter’s teeth are in very good hands.The office is a great environment. TVs at every chair showing kids movies is a helpful distraction if need be. Great waiting area with toys and movies playing.I highly recommend this place. So pleased to have our daughter there.
I have to say this is the best experience I have had at a dentist office. Even though it is for my daughter it has been great. Everyone is very friendly, accommodating, and personable. My 2 1/2 year old loves that she can pick her Netflix show and lay on mommy and watch it. The dentist visit took like 15 minutes, and the dentist was good about the squirming and the shyness my daughter had. If she didnt like it the lady stopped and tried something else, she didnt force anything.I just love it, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I love both Dr. Matt and Dr. Lindsey. Both my kids loved the office, too! Id recommend them both very highly. Its awesome to have both a pediatric dentist AND an actual orthodontist in the office. Im extremely particular about my kids oral health and the quality of doctors; these two are the best. The days and times are convenient, too, which is always appreciated. The staff is super nice; they like their jobs, and it shows! Id recommend this office all day long.
Was sent to Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry on a referral, and it was a great experience. The office was very kid friendly with a dinosaur theme through out the office and games in the waiting room. Dr. Lindsey was wonderful, she was able to complete everything my daughter need to get done in one visit and the same day as the consult. Dr. Lindsey and her assistant made it an enjoyable experience, with there jokes and references to car washes and raincoats. I cant thank them enough.
This was a wonderful choice to take my 2 year old daughter for her first visit to the dentist. Everyone was so sweet and caring and it went a lot smoother than I thought it would. The front desk was so helpful and gave me al the information I needed and even told me information about my new insurance that I didn’t even know about. The hygienist was sweet and great with my daughter. Even though we saw the dentist for a short time, she was great with my daughter who loves to give everyone a hard time. I would definitely recommend this practice for anyone looking for a pediatric dentist that isn’t in Clifton Park or the Albany area!

Love this place! All the staff are very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the hygienist and we just absolutely LOVE Dr. Lindsey! She is very patient with my kids who are not especially cooperative when it comes to having their teeth cleaned. The place is super cute with tons to play with in the waiting room and a very cute Dinosaur theme throughout the offices.
Dr. Lindsey and staff are amazing from beginning to end. From making my kiddos feel at ease to explaining anything I need to know. Such a fun kid friendly safe place for our kids to get their teeth cleaned and kept healthy!!
I have been extremely unhappy since I started bringing my twins here. We will not be back! They didnt schedule my twins at different times and thought one of my 2 year olds (at the time) would go in a room by themselves without me, are you kidding me? Then they charge every 6 months for both an exam and a cleaning when they have never done an exam on either of my children. They said my son needed caps on his teeth without even doing an x ray or looking for more than 5 seconds in his mouth. I got a second opinion and he doesnt need them. Terrible attitude on the phone when I called as well. Definitely find a different place to bring your children!

You know you’re at the right place when the moment you enter, you are greeted with warm and sincere smiles. The staff is excellent and made our toddler’s teeth cleaning experience a more manageable and exciting experience. We researched other pediatric dental offices in the Albany area but specifically chose to stay with Dr. Lindsey’s office because her and her husband’s practice offers good quality care, finesse with children, and a warmth we couldn’t find anywhere else. I’m looking forward to our next appointment!

Just started bringing my children here in the last 6 months or so but we absolutely love it!! My twins will be both getting braces next month and they offer awesome payment plans to help! April is such a sweetheart, and both Dr Matt and Dr Lindsey are great with the kids!! Defenitely recommend!!
Drs. Lindsey and Matt have been and continue to be excellent. They are great with my kids (10 and 17), provide a pleasing and calming environment, and explain procedures and results in an easy-to-understand manner. They are also doing a great job to ensure COVID safety.
Dr. Lindsey is calm, does good work, and knows what to say to kids to have a successful appointment. Prices are very reasonable and the office is taking very good steps to prevent Covid. I have taken three of my children here and it is always a positive experience.

Well I guess the secret is out! We read some many good experiences online and chose Schenectady Peditraics when our child needed a new dentist. I was wary at first given the timeliness of his previous dentist but the entire appointment was just over an hour. Great staff and a great waiting area for kids as well. An excellent experience for sure!
They are very good with my daughter as well as friendly. Would definitely recommend this dentist/orthodontist all in one place. As well as they definitely are there to help your child to feel better about their teeth and go above and beyond to work with a payment plan easy to work into your budget. I cant express how much we LOVE Dr. Lindsey and entire staff. We have been going to this dentist for about 6 years and wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Dr. Lindsey is very patient and understanding with both my children and NEVER pushes them past their comfort level. Her staff is accommodating, always kind, and professional. My daughter has been seeing both Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Matt since the practice opened (about 5 years). From the first time we walked in we were both immediately put at ease by the friendly staff and kid-focused atmosphere. Dr. Lindsey is gentle and quick and Dr. Matt has not only made my daughters teeth beautiful but he always takes the time to explain where we are in the process. Very fairly priced for braces. Hands down the best pediatric experience of any kind. My children love going there and the atmosphere is always top notch. It is very children oriented with monitors in every patient area for as needed to distractions. Lots of natural light, dinosaur themes, tvs, toys, and arcade machines in the waiting room make this a reduced stress area for children of all ages. Finally, easy access off of upper union with a dedicated parking lot. Best of the best!
My daughter has been a patient for 7 years. She always has a positive experience and her questions are always answered. She recently got braces and that was also a positive experience for her. Everyone there has complete compassion for their young patients.
The most honest and professional office! Our teenage boys have been patients for five years and each visit is a great experience. Both Drs treatment is always fast, courteous, and conservative. Both of our children have received dental care as well has care from Dr. Matt for their braces. We especially love that they care for the patients as whole people - not just mouths they are trying to make perfect (which they do any way!). I also went as an adult and received braces to straighten my teeth - so thrilled with all of our results.
Our first visit to this pediatric dental practice was amazing!! We had had a bad experience with a different practice, so I was extremely pleased to find a new dental practice, that I feel good about taking my 4year old and almost 2 year old to. From the moment you open the door (dinosaur footprints), to the welcoming staff, and patient/attentive hygienist and dentist, the entire visit was enjoyable!
Both of my littles (2 &4) LOVE going to the dentist!! I am still shocked by their cooperation and etire lack of resistance or timidity. My oldest has autism and other mild special needs; I fully expected some degree of panic and resistance from him at least, not in the slightest bit! They both leave happy as ever and feeling proud of their Big Kid accomplishments. The Drs, hygienists, even the girls at the front desk are excellent! Theyre actually excited to go to the Dentist! 🤩
Both the dental and orthodontic practices are wonderful. Dr Lindsey and Dr. Matt are extremely professional and just an amazing duo. I hope their practice continues to be successful and I have no doubt that they will be because of their friendly front office staff being so accommodating and professional. The only regret I have is that our 2 older girls didnt get their braces here. Our youngest just got her braces off and is flashing those pearly whites-thanks to Dr. Matt.If youre looking for pediatric dental care for your child, this is a great practice. Youre child wl be treated well and they are so accommodating. I cant say enough good things about them. I tell everyone about these folks!
I took my 2 year old and 4 year old for a regular dental check up. Dr. Lindsey Battiste was great. She was open and patient to my questions regarding dental care at home and gave good suggestions. She communicated with my kids in a way they could understand, and both of my kids had great experience. The staff was friendly. The dental office is large and clean. A walk through gate keepsthe kids away from stairs. The waiting room is full of books and toys to keep kids busy. Highly recommended.
I took my 2 year old here for her first dentist appointment and they were great with her and answered all of our questions. She normally is so nervous with doctors but she was fine here. There were a ton of kids and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Perfect place for kids dental appt.

We love Dr.Lindsey! We have a 5 year old and 1 year old and all of the staff is patient and kind. Both of my daughters had a great experience this past week. My older daughter has been playing dentist all week using an old toothbrush to brush all of her stuffed animals and dolls’ teeth!

After my oldest daughter broke her tooth, we had to call to schedule an emergency visit. Dr. Lindsay responded right away and staff scheduled an appointment quickly. They also took extra precautions due to COVID-19 pandemic as well. Thank you so much for taking good care of your patients!!
I absolutely adore this practice. My son was, and still is extremely dentist-phobic. But they are so incredibly patient with him! The office is a bright, and fun with dinosaur skeletons bright colors stickered to the wall. They have Netflix for the kids in the waiting room as well as books, stuffed animal, and mini arcade games. I highly recommend! 10/10
I loved this place for my little boy, until I brought him to get his first cavity filled. My kiddo and I BOTH cried through it. He was given the laughing gas but apparently not enough because he screamed thru it. He was not lethargic, and was not calm. He was screaming and in pain and the dentist had ZERO care for him or his pain. She didnt stop, and I just sat and cried watching and I wanted so badly to make her stop. I will not be going back there with my little boy ever again. Show compassion, make sure the children are given enough sedative to actually be relaxed please.
Under normal circumstances I would give this location a 5 star rating. But on this particular visit my child had to wait an unusually long time, 45 minutes, to have her teeth cleaned and her ortho visit completed. The appointment times were backwards (ortho then cleaning) when they should’ve been cleaning then ortho. The ortho couldn’t treat my child until after her teeth were cleaned. I won’t make that mistake again.

She has a really good readon how far she can push without pushing my daughter over the edge. Thats not a skill you can teach in any school. Weve been bringing our two boys to Battiste for several years now and it has worked out great. The office staff are super flexible - they always find a single appointment time that the boys can go together and then its a tag team between seeing Dr. Matt for a retainer check and getting teeth cleaned and checked by Dr. Lindsey. They are two highly competent dental professionals but down-to-Earth friendly people who take a clear interest in the boys and their dental health. I would highly recommend this practice.My only question: how does Dr. Matt remember everyones name and which sports theyre playing??

My mom has been a dental hygienist for over 40 years and had always stressed the importance of good dental health - so finding a GREAT pediatric dentist to care for our twin boys was important to us. We first visited Dr Lindsey when our boys were only 2 1/2 (they are now 6 1/2). The staff at this office is always friendly and accommodating and Dr. Lindsey along with the hygienists have provided exceptional care (and the fun flavor choices of toothpaste is a plus too!!).We recently asked Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Matt for some orthodontic advice for one of our sons. He has some crowding and although he has only lost a handful of baby teeth we see orthodontics in his future. They both gave a very relaxed and unalarming response after examining him. They advised that we keep an eye on things but we’re assuring that unlike other dental practices, theyvlike to wait until the child is mature enough (physically and emotionally) before orthodontic care is discussed.We highly recommend Battiste Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodonics to our friends based on our many wonderful experiences and exceptional care.

Dr. Battiste and the staff are providing great orthodontic services for my daughter.He is friendly, warm and approachable. The smaller office allows Dr. Battiste to provide his full attention to my daughter at every visit. She is making great progress with the treatments.The office is bright and cheery, and the staff is helpful, friendly and attentive.

I have been a customer of Battiste Orthodontics for some time now. I like them because they are caring, but also efficient. When I go for a check up I get in and out in less than an hour. The doctor always takes time to discuss any issues with me. I would recommend them to anyone seeking a caring and professional dentist.
What a kind, knowledgeable, professional, and lovely group of people! Everyone from the person who checks you in to Dr. Matt and his wife is wonderful to work with. After years of knowing that I needed to seek a professional to help me align my smile again because of shifting, I reached out to Dr. Matt and his team for help. They developed a plan and helped me make a sound decision: Braces! Every few weeks I headed in for an adjustment and was greeted by smiling faces! I never waited more than five minutes, and never spent more than 20 minutes in the chair. They worked with my schedule, and I always knew I could call ahead if something changed. Today my smile is straight and brighter than ever thanks to Dr. Matt and his crew!

This place is great for kids! They will try to get them in the same day for tooth pain, no extra fee! My insurance changed and they made sure to let me know what was covered before they did anything! I will definitely recommend them to everyone!

I’ve known Matt for over twenty years, so when it came time to get braces and straighten things up following a long stretch of not wearing my retainer from my teenage years, his practice was the only one I would trust. After reviewing available options, I opted for Invisalign as well as the use of the OrthoAccel device to speed treatment time, which also seemed to ease the typical pain/discomfort that I previously experienced with traditional braces. After about 7 months of treatment, I was (and remain) very happy with my results!
My teeth are GORGEOUS right now, I cant stop smiling. Ive had braces for about a year and a half and my orothodontists were so professional and comforting that I didnt feel scared one bit, nor did I ever feel as though I was in the wrong hands. Theyre very flexible for any immediate emergencies, and they make going to get my teeth done fun!

Great Enviroment! Everyone you see leaving the office has a smile on their face. Usually when you go to the dentist or orthodontist it is in an old dim house. The Battistes knock it out of the park with a guarentee that your kid will leave with healthy gums!

2022-02-17Dr.Lindsey is absolutely amazing! She was able to squeeze my child in after seeing he chipped his tooth. Very informative about the different options he had and honest about each one. My son has been going here since his first visit and I could not be happier. We recently were introduced to Dr.Matt to see about braces and he is just as awesome! My son is actually excited about getting them due to the great time, care, and Information provided. I also love that Dr.Matt and Dr.Lindsey work together and will come see your child no matter who they are scheduled to see if you have any questions during a visit. Most professional office staff and a very fun environment! I always recommend them to anyone who is looking for great dental care! A million thank you’s to the entire staff!!

2022-07-01We switched to this pediatric dental practice because of its proximity, and friends’ positive regard for both the dental and orthodontic services. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. My 2 children got cleanings and an exam in about half an hour (?!). We actually had to stay a couple extra minutes for me to finish paperwork while kids read books! Staff and Dr. Battiste were very cheerful, good at communicating, and responsive to our individual wishes. Dr. Battiste was particularly friendly, and seemed knowledgeable and skilled.

2022-03-28I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lindsey and *everyone* on her team. They’re so understanding and calm. We were referred there because my son has sensory processing disorder, and checkups at our regular family dentist were starting to be a real struggle. I’m so happy we found this practice, it’s been a great fit for him, he’s never anxious when we go in. Having Dr. Matt (who is also fantastic) downstairs for the orthodontics is amazing, too—the dental and ortho teams are all integrated and make sure everything is coordinated for you between the two, it makes everything so easy.

2022-05-18My 3 year old fell and hit her front teeth. Dr. Lindsay was great and got us an appointment quick. She took the time to explain everything, gave us good news and reviewed what the next steps are. I highly recommend her and her office.

2022-02-18My son has non-verbal Autism. When he goes anywhere new he gets scared & will not sit still or have an understanding that he’s not in danger. The dentist can be a VERY scary place for him as it’s a new environment and also he’s being asked to do things he’s not accustomed to doing. Dr Lindsey is such a kind sweet person who is caring & understanding of my son’s needs. Although it’s never easy for anyone, mostly my son, she always takes her time to make sure his teeth are examined & taken care of. I’d honestly recommend her to anyone.

2022-02-17This was my Maximus’s first trip to the dentist, he is just 1yrs old. Everyone was so friendly & patient. The waiting room was set up just right so I was able to get all the paperwork filled out, while he played. They even have a gate so it was ok for him to wander a bit ! My older son sees the orthodontist downstairs and the service is exactly the same, very attentive and always informative.
