When you are looking for fresh, quality produce, meats, cheeses, crackers, staples, as well as a great caterer, look no further than Schmidts. At the rear of the market is an active deli counter that makes the most fabulous egg sandwiches, amazing hot dishes as well as an array of cold salads plus a salad bar. You can easily taste something here and see for yourself how delicious the food is here. Our family had Schmidts cater to our sons engagement party. They provided excellent servers who oversaw the kitchen and presented a lovely buffet to our guests. Everyone complimented the food was spectacular. And with barbeque season upon us, do stop in for their corn on the cob. It is the best around!
Unreasonable price! $20 for 64oz orange juice. No price tags, rude cashier key the price in at checkout.
Good deli, but you need to make a mobile order pickup. You advertise all over your website and in your store Save Time and Order By Text, Skip the Line, Text Your Order. There is no skipping the line. You dont separate the mobile orders or phone orders.I made a post several months ago but I decided to change it since I gave you guys another chance.
Always clean, and fresh food. I personally go for the butcher. Best in the area. And NOT OVERPRICED. (Like down the street) Just ask and they will customize anything. Great service
Have never been disappointed with Schmidts gourmet market. One of the best deli counters around and always crowded at lunch time. Its not a huge market but they provide a variety of hot meals, sandwiches and soups. Great butcher with a choice of prime cuts, love the fresh produce and fruits. Your sure to get a smile from the folks that work behind the deli. Always a wonderful shopping experience.
The women that work in the deli have a bad attitude! God forbid you ask them for something theyre not used to hearing! It was my favorite deli.
Best deli on the East End. They always have great produce and new and interesting products that make grocery shopping fun! A million times better than Citarella!
Top quality fresh produce, some unique selections mixed in, is only the beginning. There is a wide assortment of freshly prepared hot dishes for takeout, sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages. They were also prime meats available. A very well-run establishment.
Schmidts is a wonderful, magical place. From the tasty jams flowing through the stereo as you walk in, to the tasty treats that await you within. Dan schmidts house of munch fills my belly and my soul every mornin, and gives me the strength I need, to carry on 👍👍
They have the best Deli in Southampton.
The market is okay, the food bar has enough choice but the raw wrapped organic chicken is old meat. It has happened more than once I lbought chicken nicely wrapped with an extended date but once opened it had to go in the trash. I mean, just keep it fresh. Annoyed and again disappointed.
They have the absolute BEST produce out here! Everything always looks so beautiful and fresh and they have a large selection too. Everything else there is good but the produce is on another level. Thank you!

Nice produce. Food is pretty good - not out of this world. But the real detriment to this place is the employees. The people at the deli counter spend far more time chatting with each other than paying attention to customers waiting in line. The cashiers are not really any better. And the place maintains its passive-aggressive feel even after the post-fire renovation. Hand written signs above the registers switch every now and then between instructing people to stand anywhere and go to any counter - well get you out of here fast to telling customers to pick a line and stay with it. Despite that, the place is typically very busy.
The best selection of fruits and vegetables! Very fresh and a wide variety that changes a lot. Most of the fruits and vegetables are offered at a slightly lower price than other stores produce, although some of the more exotic/rare finds are expensive.
Enjoy shopping there, Excellent selection of all products. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
I love their workman’s special lunch. Great selection of cheese at best prices in town. Also have best Mac and cheese, far superior Citerellas.
Great place for farm fresh vegetables and fruits but terrible for breakfast, usually in the morning is pretty busy, if they don’t know you even if you wait on the line takes like 30 min, happened to me many times, for example today I had 2 people in front of me, I ordered a Greek Omlete, I have been wanting 25 min and I quite, buying something else, they served 6 people that came after me and my order was not even placed, so today is the last day when I am buying something from Schmidt

2022-04-27Had to order Bfast for 60 people the day before a work event. Dan got our order in and ready for 6am pick up ! Food was awesome and the driver was even better. Would recommend to anyone in the area. 10/10

2022-07-02Excellent Food. Superb Customer Service at the takeout counter. Nevertheless, the cashiers are like robots. Unfriendly, no eye contact, unpleasant. Treat you like you are invisible. Take your money followed by NEXT. no time to even put your money or card in your wallet. They have been at the register for years without any improvement in their behavior.Keep in mind that is the last face you see before eating the takeout. And the takeout makes it all better. Delicious each and every time.

2020-09-16This place is wonderful, the variety of exotic fruits and vegetables are always abundant. They have fruits i have never seen anywhere else. The staff is very friendly as well. The prices are a little high but the quality of the food is there to back it up. The chicken pot pies they offer on Fridays is exceptional.

2020-12-10I have always loved this market as i like to support the locals. I dont understand those people including myself that work in the service industry cannot address potential customers with a warm greeting and or a thank you. Most everyone in this market is cold and not inviting. There are exceptions at this location but most employees need a lesson in everyday customer relations.

2021-01-02My boss told me about this place. I switched from going to Citarellas to here. I love this market. Fast service, decent prices for the hamptons ( much cheaper hot lunch deals than citarella market), very nice staff and they have a great salad bar.
