Ive been wanting to try this place for a while! Finally made it in. First, the menu is HUGE. Took me a while to decide what I wanted and finally went with The Big Schnipp, Salted Nutella Special Milkshake, Cookies & Cream Milkshake, The Classic BLT, and a hamburger. I legit ate all of this..thats how good it was. The Big Schnipp tasted better than Shake Shack in my opinion and both milkshakes were super satisfying. Def going back ASAP!
Great selection of various American style bugers, sandwiches, salads, mac&cheese, fish&chips and hot dogs with a la carte menu items as there are no combos. Shakes, craft beers, sodas are available. Lots to try! Huge menu on the board so take your time to review them but check the menu before you go if you can.We went around 8:30pm at the Midtown East on Lexington Ave and place was relatively brisk and had a hard time deciding what to eat. We looked around what others were munching on and went with the flow.Crispy chicken on Ciabatta bread $11 was crunchy, not greasy and the Schnipper sauce (aioli) kept the dry chicken moist while the BBQ sause gave some sweetness and zing otherwise it was flavorful and good. The Green Chili Turkey Burger $9.50 with special cheese blend, house-roasted poblanos, Schnipper sauce on a whole wheat bun was dry also but all the other ingredients made it enjoyable. Lastly, we had the Green Chili Cheese burger $11 which was similar to the turkey burger but less healthy option. We definitely needed some salads with the meal so we got the Greek salad $10.50 with usual toppings and it was alot. The dressing and feta was salty but it was fresh not drenched and soggy. Better quality feta would be less salty. The Simple Mixed Green Salad $10 had corn, croutons, plum tomatoes and vinaigrette which was also salty.Getting your order served took about 15mins and they will bring you your food to your table based on your receipt with order number. Lots of seating available. Its fast food but higher quality and prices. Next time we will definitively try sandwiches, their floats and shakes. Overall good food, decent NYC prices, cafereria style service was reasonable.
Stopped in for take out burgers and a chicken sandwich on a Thursday evening. Our hotel was around the corner. The service was fast, efficient, and burgers cooked exactly to order. It was a very decent takeout meal. Weve had some disappointments in NYC, but this wasnt one if them.
The food was very goodEverything took about 7 minutes to get and I went with a group of 3 and we got some of the burgers, mac and cheese with sloppy joe, chicken strips, and cheese fries. The mac and cheese is probably one of the best sides here. The burgers are very good as well. The seating is very chill and sort of a cool cafeteria vibe. I would go here with my friends again. And Id recommend others to go as well. Good prices, short wait time, tasty food, 10-10
We like a lot eating out. Last night we found this superb place which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a delightful experience there with superb cooking and a well-trained crew and an impressive chief cook. We added this venue in our list and we will definitely come back very soon. We highly recommend.
The burgers are really good quality and have a ton of flavor. I asked for medium well and thats exactly what I got. The fries are good, crunchy, hot and you get plenty. Their ice cream is very good, the vanilla is their base of course and it has a lot of vanilla flavor but not over bearing. Its what ice cream used to taste like years ago with good ingredients.
Been here a handful of times before covid and the burgers have always been great and the 2$ deal they have for beer is a nice lil treat. Unfortunately they have not bounced back to their usual self but the items they still have available are still grade A quality made.
A better burger than fast food is what I was promised, and boy did Schnippers deliver! I really enjoyed my burger as well as my cheese fries topped with sloppy joe, which I would recommend to any meat eating diner out there. One thing: they gave us way too many ketchup packets and I worry that they might have been thrown out. Next time I will ask for fewer for sure and if you go, you should consider doing the same.
Food was good but 99 % positive he used butter after I told him Im lactose. They also made us use the app to order but claimed we didnt pay for drinks. We had to prove it by pulling up the online receipt which wasnt very easy to do. We also had to ask for condiments. They told us ketchup was in the bag but one or two packets doesnt do the trick. Overall taste however was very good!
I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is tasty and the team is generous and cooperative. always when we visit this place we pass a pleasing evening. warmly recommended.
Food wasn’t bad, but I have been here two times already and I keep receiving the wrong order. I have ordered the sweet heat crispy chicken sandwich two times at this location, but keep getting the grilled chicken sandwich or just a regular crispy chicken. It is disappointing. The only reason I don’t complain is because its still chicken, just not the one I want.
If you want a real authentic hamburger you should check this place out. Although the price is slightly higher than most place it is definitely worth it. The beef is very lean and juicy and the size of the burger is just right. A very friendly environment, nice workers and the food is delicious. Give them a try.
I LOVE this place for lunch! However, today I had the Mac & Cheese and it was too cheesy, and no breadcrumbs as advertised. The portion was also very small to be a large for almost $12. The turkey burger and grilled cheese were delicious, but do wish the fries came with instead of OTS. The Lexington Ave location is spotless and tidy, and the staff is friendly and efficient.
Amazing! We ordered burgers for our team working tonight and what a lovely surprise when we opened the bag... A roll of toilet paper with a note that read “be safe ❤️”. In such a dark time, it is nice to think that there are kind people out there. That is what hospitality is about!Ps. Burgers were AMAZING!
First time eating at this restaurant chain. I thought the establishment was clean and the employees were kind. The food was good but my only complaint is that the crispy chicken sandwich could have had a lil more chicken on it. It wasnt a boneless chicken breast as I would have assumed, it was 2 small pieces of chicken that did not equate to even a small breast. With that being said I would still go back because overall It was not a bad experience.
We travel to NY fairly frequently with a large family. We visited the restaurant twice this time while in town. The first night was great. Food came quickly and just as we ordered. The second time there was a lady working the register that was very unprofessional. As I was trying to place my order she starts dancing, not making it up. her attention was all over the place. Something really seemed off and I believe she was impaired in fact. We waited a half hour for just shakes on the order and I finally went to the main guy cooking behind the station and asked for a refund as I didnt think we would ever get our order. he acted like everything was fine but he did go and speak to her. She started fixing our shakes and of course she brought them over to the table without a word. Then as we left out the door all the employees yelled out, goodbye to us. Really poor service for a legit concern I brought forth. Wont be back
Ive had the Schnippers old fashioned burger as well as the chicken club here. Both were pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. The Club was large but not very full of flavor. The bacon didnt have much taste to it and the chicken was hardly seasoned. It was pretty run of the mill. The burger was alright as well but it had hardly any onions on it and needed some ketchup for flavor. Its not a bad spot to grab a quick lunch but its nothing I would search out.
This is the ultimate were-in-a-rush-to-feed-the-family-on-the-way-to-something-down-or-mid-town-Manhattan joint! We love it here. It was the first place that I tasted that impossible burger (pretty OK, Id say), and--mostly--well, its just a really convenient place that has quite decent food, ambiance and hospitality...and, oh, did I mention its just wildly convenient for our NYC lifestyle.
It has great burgers and sandwiches, which they cook to your taste. I was surprised to see vegetarian options on the sandwiches. The problem always comes to the prices, but you know, its Manhattan everything is pricy. Taste to price wise though, worth it when youre around the area.
Schnippers is one of my families favorite restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious. They have a great variety of foods for everyone! Hotdogs, burgers, salads, and even milkshakes. Wait time for orders can vary. If you choose to stay they will bring your food to your table while you sit.
Horrible. These people cant get my order right to save their lives!!!! On several occasions, Ive ordered my burger WELL DONE yet when I bite into it, ITS MEDIUM RARE!!!!!!! What restaurant with common sense doesnt see the health risks undercooked meat pose to their customers???? In any event, I gave them one last chance. That was my biggest mistake. They made THE SAME ERROR TO MY ORDER and now Ive been home sick with food poisoning for the past 2 days. So when you ask, how would I rate this restaurant? -4 stars. They need to shut this place down asap. They dont care about paying customers well-being, theres something very unnerving and unethical about that ideal.
My first time trying Schnippers was at this location and I loved it. They have burgers, fries, shakes, sandwiches, onion rings, mac and cheese, hot dogs and more. They even have salads! Its like way better fast food. The first time I went, I got their nutella shake, mac and cheese, the Schnipp (their classic cheeseburger) and chicken fingers with sweet potato fries. I love their sweet potato fries. I got a bunch of sauces with to eat the chicken fingers with. They were all really good. Everything is really delicious. The mac is so cheesy and addictive. I highly recommend going there. They have something for everyone.
Great salads and yes whilst it maybe a smidge on the pricey side, I accept its NYC and thats what you get. It hasnt put me off. When in NYC travelling from London I make this my new lunch destination. I dont mind paying good money for good quality. This place ticks my boxes.
Ordered two salads for me and my partner. Both tasted delicious and staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I felt dreadful the day after with nausea, shivers, and discomfort. Ended up puking my Fresh Market Salad out in the toilet. For those with sensitive stomachs, be advised.
Good fresh food and service is good. Workers are super nice and helpful when you have questions. The place is also super clean. Ive only tried the salads and fish tacos and they are both great. Definitely going to add it to one of my regular places even though its a little out of my way.
I recently started a new job at a large hospital on the Upper East Side and we needed catering for a meeting. After looking at the local alternatives we chose Schnippers for three reasons: great food, affordable prices and excellent customer service. I spoke with the weekday manager, Elbia, and her staff, and they worked within our budget and managed to put together an amazing spread. No one at the meeting had heard of Schnippers but by the end of the meeting everyone was raving about their food! Schnippers awesome burgers (cheeseburgers, turkey burgers, and vegan burgers too) came on a soft and chewy bun, delicious whole breast chicken fingers with homemade barbecue sauce, regular and sweet potato fries along with brownies and cookies for dessert all really hit the spot. They even had a caesar salad for folks that were particularly health conscious. They delivered on time and made sure everything looked presentable and inviting. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want some stick to your ribs goodness. Call and speak with Elbia and she and her great staff will help you cater your next meeting and make sure everyone goes home happy!
The $2 draft beer cant be beat (even if it isnt a full pint). Its been a season appropriate Brooklyn Brewery beer every time too, which is really nice. The menu is big and the staff have been competent every time Ive gone. The food isnt great, but their selection is big enough that you can usually find something youre in the mood for.
Gag. The only thing quality about their food is MAYBE the patty. And thats just above a McDonalds patty. I had to stop eating because I felt gross, not because I was full. Everything is clearly made from cheap ingredients and their markup is insane.Paid $24 for a burger, small fry, small mac n cheese, and a small shake. I wanted to sample everything to get an idea of the food quality. Welp, never again.
I actually really like the food at this place but the service is the worst. There will be 10 people in the kitchen and they still cant the orders right. This last time I waited 25 minutes for a grilled chicken salad. When I finally got it the order it was wrong. At first the manager who I didnt ask for, but just happened to be there, was sympathetic. But when I pointed out to her that Id paid extra for a modification and needed her to correct it she looked at me like I had 3 heads...when all I did was ask for what I paid for...and nicely! Ill allow a certain number of these instances before Im done. And Im done.
Bad food, rude service. I ordered a beer and cheese fries. pretty simple right? I can look past the miserable cashier, because if I had her job I would be miserable too. But after it took 10 mins to get my fries, They came out and were cold. the cheese had completely re-solidified, and the fries were flaccid. I was sitting doing some work as I ate my cold, limp fries, and less than half of them were gone when a hand came into my peripheral and took away my tray, I told the employee I was still working, and he put it down without even an im sorry. I also had to check 5 tables, no exaggeration, before finding a ketchup with more than 1 squirt left in the damn bottle. WASTE OF MONEY. Go literally anywhere else.
This is the third Schnippers location. Very spacious compared to their first two, with a second floor just for seating/dining in.They recently ran a $2 Tuesday deal where they had their top 10 Customer Favorites available for $2 each, and I opted for my Mac and Joe with fries. Not disappointed. And as you can imagine, with a promotion that good in NYC, the line was wrapping around the entrance and then some! But the staff were courteous, patient, and got orders out fast in to-go containers for everyone.
Ordered food and a beer, cashier didn’t put in the food order. Came back and re-ordered, and she put in the wrong order. Waiting on the food as I type, but that wasn’t a good start.Update: food was good. On the pricier side, but it’s midtown. The Cashier aside, extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Came in on a Wednesday night, store was basically empty. Our party ordered 3 shakes. We literally waited 30 minutes for them to be made only to have the cashier lie to us and say she had been looking for us. No apology or acknowledgment of our long wait for something that should have taken 5 minutes at most as there were no other customers. To add insult to injury the cups were covered in sticky ice cream and the salted caramel shake was horrible and too salty to be palatable. The other 2 shakes were below average. Very disappointed and wont be back.
Extremely disappointed with my order and would not order from here again. Ordered the simple mixed greens, which are supposed to come with avocado. No AVOCADO. Why?! So I basically paid $10+ for a plate of lettuce and some other boring vegetables. The main reason I chose this salad was because of the avocado so my order sucked and was not as advertised.
This was my first time there. The food wasnt too bad but the cashier was terribly rude. All of the other staff were incredibly friendly. Cashiers are the faces of the company and their demeanor sets the tone for your interaction and stay. If you cant do your job with a smile, let someone else do it.
Come here every time my friend and I go for lunch. The food is tasty, relatively cheap (for good, unhealthy, Americana) and Ive never had an issue with speed, quality, or any other issues that have been mentioned. My only two complaints are:-Their milkshakes are so thick as to be almost undrinkable at times (had to leave mine in the sun a bit to melt).-The lunch crowd can linger quite long at tables, so it can be hard to find a spot during prime time.
While the burgers and fries were decent, I just cant understand how a restaurant in the middle of Manhattan does not accept $50 bills!! My sister asked the girl running the register what would happen if the order was over $50, and yep, you guessed it...she still insisted they couldnt take bills larger than $20. But she did politely say credit cards are accepted. How convenient of them.
Do not walk in for lunch. . .only order online and pick up or have it delivered. Also, Schnippers is kind of pricey for what it is. But, its decent. Still, do not walk up. I waited 20-25 mins for 4 chicken fingers and fries. . . another guy waited 45 mins for a burger and fries. And, from the looks of it, I think this location gets major bulk catering orders from the surrounding offices. So, youre measly burger or chicken finger will definitely wait. Now that I think about it. There is one thing that kinda irks me about Schnippers in general that you cant add extra. . its an all or nothing kinda situation. it might be a 6 chicken finger kinda day and thats not possible. Instead you have order a whole new order.
The food here is very nice, especially compared to other fast food joints, but the service could be improves upon, as the things they put on tables to track you ususally dont even work and it takes a while for the food to get to the table. Overall, a pleasant experience.
The presentation was clean. There was no creativity in the Schnippers Sauce. It simply tasted like Mayonnaise with extra salt. I ordered The Schnipp Burger and the burger was salty and overly seasoned. The two romaine lettuce I was given were wilted. But to give them some credit their tomatoe slices were fresh and the fountain drink was mixed well. In addition, there is nothing special about the cheese fries. The fries themselves were great but the special cheese sauce tasted like powered cheese with water. Lets just say I added ketchup and it still did not help the situation.
Food is decent (chicken fingers are pretty darn good) but the real star is the happy hour special. $2 12 oz drafts of Sam Adams seasonals. One of the chillest places to just sip a beer with some friends after work in midtown. Always get a table, no need to yell over the crowd, and cheap beer!
BEWARE!!! TOTALLY HORRIBLE DELIVERY! I ordered 2 hours ago and my food has STILL not arrived. Additionally when you call the restaurant they either dont pick up the phone or the phone is busy. I am now HANGRY AF and could have walked there and picked up the food at least 5 times in the time they could have sent my order. I ordered Chicken fingers? Its not like you are making a fricken red wine reduction people!! FRY THE FOOD AND GET IT OUT. BEWARE- DONT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE.
If I could give 0 stars I would. On February 15th, 2019, my friend and I walked in around 11:15PM; doors were open. We take three steps in each. A man approaches us and explodes “WE’RE CLOSED!”. I said, “We’ll the door was open.” He then proceeds to say, “Well maybe you shouldn’t enter a restaurant when there aren’t any people in it.” After that comment I was pretty upset by the hospilitly. Especially since I’ve heard their food and milkshakes are amazing. My friend and I leave the restaurant and the man and another worker inside were giving me the middle finger to my friend and I while we were standing OUTSIDE the establishment. Please do not spend your money here. Thank god there are other places open at this time at night and that welcome people and their business. Shout out to Duane Read that let me buy my late night munchies!
High price, subpar food. Had the chicken , bacon and cheddar sandwich, a plain burger, a bacon cheeseburger, a plain hotdog and fries. ALL of it was overcooked and dry. Hotdog was overcooked to the point that I had to remove the skin/casing in order to eat it. $5 for a hotdog I essentially have to peel in order for it to be edible is not anything I would choose to pay for again. Couldnt even eat the bun since the char from the hotdog rubbed off on it. Ridiculous to pay $40 total and leave feeling like we purely ate for sustenance vs eating food we actually enjoyed. Will never return and definitely will not recommend to anyone else.
In addition to the fresh food and speedy delivery, I have been really impressed by the person who answers the phone, Naisha. I once asked if bread comes with the salad, she said it doesnt...but I got a nice surprise when the delivery arrived: bread! It was so thoughtful of her to make it happen. She goes above and beyond every time and it is why I reorder from there. Thank you, Naisha!
Great location thats marred by terrible staff. We are staying here at the moment and have yet to find a single staff member that smiles or acts like they value your custom. If it wasnt for the locations proximity to the major attractions and value for money this would be a horrific place to stay.
Avoid this place. They gave our food away to another customer. After a wait, we had to ask where was our food, to which they replied, that didnt know and they eventually figured out their mistake. Then they hurriedly prepared our food, but then served us a raw burger (we did not order a raw burger mind you).
I bribe my boyfriend to go to the gym with promises of sloppy Joes at Schnippers afterwards. Its reminiscent enough of lunch room sloppy joes, and the French fries are freaking amazing. Staff is nice, too, which is a pleasant surprise considering how many tourists they must have to deal with on the daily.
Placed order today at 11:33 am, with anticipated delivery of 12:15 pm. Given its Midtown during lunch hour, I expected a slight delay. Food wasnt delivered until 12:56 pm and this was after calling at 12:40 pm and being assured food would arrive within 5 - 7 minutes. My food arrived cold and inedible.
Burger equivalent to shake shack for sure... to be honest I almost thought it was a shake shack burger. But what really sold me was the sloppy joe... mmm... So good I dont think I can even cook my own anymore... I will be returning again unfortunately the Schnippers by me is in Times Square area/42nd... I am hoping the taste is the same at this one... Otherwise I will come back to this one on my shopping trips...
This was My First time Eating at this Business Ever.... East Side @ 51stCustomer Service*****AwesomeFood*****Hot & DeliciousCleaniness*****I Would Eat HERE agn-Absolutely!!!There is another near Times Sq.(Havent bn there) but would Like to see if I have Same Experience.

2022-06-06Enjoyable food, but a little more expensive than expected. Chicken tenders and chips, were good. Burgers were a little overcooked, but I like it that the server asked how we wanted them cooked. The mac and cheese was spicy, which put my daughter off. It is a shame it didnt mention this on the menu, also serving it in a black plastic microwave container is just cheap. Three stars, as I would go back and I enjoyed the $2 beer promotion.

2022-05-25A to-do activity in NY is to try a classic Mac and Cheese 🧀 ! In Schnippers you can also find every type of hamburger and side dishes. I liked the Mac and cheese because it was creamy.

2022-02-06The staff here were very sweet and welcoming, I would give the staff a rating of five stars but as for the food ? Oh no it deserves two stars. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese and a bacon cheeseburger for 19 dollars and my boyfriend got a regular cheeseburger with the 2 dollar beer. So expensive for no special reason. The food taste so basic with unreasonable prices. You’re better off going to shake Shack or Five Guys. I had instant regret when I saw the Mac and cheese having a bad watery consistency. I dont understand what’s the hype about this place with the five stars rating but this was my first and last time eating here.

2022-03-29Ordered my food to go. 5 other people came after me who had dine in orders. Why is it that everyone had their order and I didnt have mine. Then the guy finally started fixing my order and was about to give me some fries that he had prepackaged 5 to 10 minutes earlier. I had to tell him I wanted fresh fries. I left a tip with my to go order. Never again.

2022-04-23My first time at this restaurant. I had the Schnippers Crispy Chicken sandwich, fries and a strawberry milk shake. Everything was made fresh when ordered. The food was good and the milk shake was delicious. I most definitely would eat there again.

2022-06-08Expensive but the food is really solid. Would recommend the Mac and cheese. The burgers are pressed and have an excellent profile. Its similar to shake shack. Delicious!

2022-04-01Amazing food, cozy atmosphere and two levels of seating. Schnippers is one of the only fast food places with gluten free breading on their chicken which is amazing for both my partner and I. The quality is consistent and the area is calm and lovely.

2020-02-05Very convenient place for work. Tried cheeseburger with fries and ginger ale, came out a bit pricey but taste of burger was good. Another good reason is they gave very good seating options, upstairs and main floor.

2021-01-15Very quick and easy order and pickup via no-contact QR code. The inside foil packaging keeps the burger warm and juicy en route back to office/home. Good, solid burger overall - a great value especially in heart of midtown.

2022-05-31The schnippers crispy chicken sandwich and the sloppy joe fries are my favorite. in my opinion, their homemade cheese sauce is the only one on the market that is comparable to shake shack. Im hooked!
