I am in the adult program and have been super happy so far. The instructors are great and my private lessons with Jack are super helpful. I am learning so fast!
Not only does school of rock give local musicians a great way to earn income, it helps kids unleash their inner rock star from ages 3 and up. Its an amazing place and Im very excited to be the new general manager.
This program has been wonderful for my daughter. She has really grown up there over the past 4 years and is no longer the least bit shy or reserved. She is willing and able to get out there and do things she is afraid of which will serve her well in the future. Its a great confidence booster for kids of all ages. I recommend it to everyone.
School of Rock is a great place to play and learn. To johnQ public way to insult a bunch of kids and never give your real name! I am one of the guitarist at school of rock and FYI you cant turn your guitar off... if your going to be rude and insult children be brave enough to use your real name and smart enough to know what you are talking about.
My son enjoys the singing, the friends he has made and the staff who are extremely supportive and fun. Its so nice to know that he has a safe place to go where he can be himself and feel at home.
Very Talented People of all ages. I could just imagine if you could add a saxaphone,a violin, wooden flute, then you can play weather report/ elegant people and then your base player can play 3rd stone from sun by Jimi Hendrix on bass, jan hamner/ let the children grow, mahavishnu orcheastra/you know, you know, Thanks for a great show tulip fest 18

2022-08-15My 12 year old daughter had an amazing time at camp. She didnt have a lot of experience singing with a live band but she said everyone was incredibly supportive and all of the other campers were very kind and encouraging. She especially liked teachers Tess and Dave. Shes looking forward to getting involved more this fall.

2022-06-26Within just one session, we noticed a huge confidence boost in our child, and he’s now on a journey to be a multi-instrument musician. The staff members are fantastic, and they really excel at making music a truly enjoyable experience.

2021-09-14My son has been part of the program for 3 years now. He has excelled in it. The school of rock does a great job of teaching and putting real life into rockstar. The events of going out into public venues and performing as a band are so unique and priceless.

2019-04-12My kids love going to the lessons and learning new songs. My son is always a struggle to convince to leave the house for anything except his drum lessons. My daughter just started on guitar and she loves School of Rock also. We love seeing the kids so into learning about music. Their instructors are great with both of them.

2019-01-04My son, who is 10 years old, started Drum Lessons with Dave in October of 2017. School of Rock has been the best decision we ever made, in terms of music instruction for our son. First of all, the school has true to Rock , old and modern genre. We see kids from 6 years old, right on up through high school going in and out of all of the different instruction rooms. School of Rock, being local, is a gift to us. There are many choices of instrumental instruction at this school, age and ability levels, and even vocals. When these kids move up to a House Band status and play together, its simply like a listening to your favorite bands and music on the radio. Our son was not interested in the basic school taught instruments, which are wonderful for many, and he loves music, but the kinds of music he prefers is taught by The School of Rock. Our sons energy level is also high, the drums were a perfect fit, its been his very own energy release, that he owns now. He has come so far and we thank Jesse and Dave for working with our schedules and Daves amazing instinct and knack of knowing what our son needs to learn, and when. Especially grateful for Daves patience. We would never go anywhere else, and recommend anyone to give it a go....whether very young, or anyone older, who has wished they learned to play years ago. You will not be disappointed.

2017-08-10School Of Rock has been one of the best experiences in my life! It has given me a place where I can feel comfortable with who I am and I can play the music I have always dreamed of on a stage with my brother and others who have become some of my closest friends. The opportunities given have allowed me to grow my skill and become a musician I never thought I could. The lessons and practices are fun, productive, and provide a great atmosphere to learn and jam! The staff, are all around great people and a pleasure work with as they are supportive and loads of fun!

2019-01-30I love the confidence that S of R instills in young musicians--it is a safe environment for them to try new things, get out of their comfort zone and hone their skills/talents. I love that the kids look out for each other and there is a healthy respect for individuality mixed with a sense of community and pride among them. I love that Dave lets kids rehearse in the space, even when its not for S of R performances because he is truly committed to supporting their passion for music. And the Seasonal Shows are so much FUN. I could go on...

2022-06-05All I can say is David (Owner) and Jessie are great musicians/Teachers and run this school of rock better than any school of rock type school from Albany to NYC.I feel really at home as a student in the adult program.Children and adults for that matter should give it a go, with no hesitation! Great direction and organized so It will be easy to succeed!

2021-03-30I have had an amazing experience, and learned a lot from this school. Even with a pandemic going on, I actually play in a band!Before going here I was hopping from music store to music store looking for what kinds of programs would actually benefit me as a musician, and the programs at this school are unlike any I have been in.
