Our son had been playing drums since the age of 5 at another drum school when he joined SOR at age 7. His playing had gotten better every year, but the SOR added a new level of fun and training for him. He now eats, sleeps and dreams about drums and enjoys every lesson no matter which school he goes to.
My daughter has fell in love with playing her bass and loves performing in the shows. She has even started singing and feels her confidence growing!
My daughter attends and looks forward to her weekly practices with the band members. It is thrilling!
I like that school of rock provides individual lessons as well as group bands to teach the kids how to improve on their instrument! Great program!!!
Great instruction, opportunity to play in a band, make lifelong friends playing music together, family like atmosphere. Highly recommend!

2022-04-08We are off to a great start at School of Rock a Farmingdale. I can’t say enough about a Joel and Emilia as business owners, and the teachers we have had so far have been fantastic. My daughter Lexi is going to thrive in this place! Looking forward to starting the Yes VS Rush season. It’s going to be sick!

2021-09-24This has been an amazing experience. My son started hear 1 year ago at the age of 9. He had never played guitar. Not only did he take lessons but joined the band. It has taught him so many life skills. The band inspired him to practice and tackle harder material. Being in the band exposed him to different music and give him a confidence and passion that has carried over into other areas.

2020-05-14I am so excited that I found the School of Rock Farmingdale!I am currently taking individual lessons for Bass guitar with Andrew who is patient as well as knowledgable.I have participated with the adult program, and have had the privilege of playing a gig with them a couple of years ago and it was the best experience!I have found the staff and teachers to be extremely pleasant and their expertise supersedes any other.I highly recommend SOR Farmingdale!They Rock! 🤘🏻🎶🎸🎵Rocker MomBeverly

2021-06-27My daughter started going to School of Rock a couple of years ago. She came out of her shell and found her voice. Farmingdale SOR is a great place. Family oriented and great staff.

2013-10-09My kids have attended School of Rock Farmingdale for well over a year. The staff and manager are always very friendly. Im a musician myself so I can tell a professional musician from a weekend warrior. The musicianship of this staff along with the way they interact with the kids is top notch, you can tell they really enjoy teaching which is something I havent experienced at other music schools. Ive seen great improvement in not only my childrens musical abilities but also their social skills since placing them here. I would totally recommend this place to anyones whos serious about their children learning music the right way.

2017-04-14My son was shy and introverted and suffers with an anxiety disorder. He always had a love for music. Joel and the team at School Of Rock made him feel welcome and his Saturdays with his band mates are his favorite time of the week. Better yet , the program has had positive influences on his school and social life as well.

2019-11-25Byron has been my 4-year-olds drum teacher for a little over a month now. He is an excellent teacher! Very kind, energetic, and relatable. Somehow keeping my four-year-olds attention through the entire lesson! Well most of the time, haha.I cant say enough about the School of Rock in Farmingdale. The entire staff is always welcoming and accommodating! I would highly recommend!

2021-02-14Love the piano instructor, very knowledgeable and super nice. Love that they have a plexiglass divider between them for now, because of covid. Which I didn’t know about till my daughter told me. So far she loves her lessons so i am happy !

2017-02-01Great experience for my son. He loved being part of a band and the opportunity to play on stage more than once. Instructors made it fun and opened him up to new music.
