Being new to the area I was referred by a neighbor. Went in for a inspection and oil change and they could not have been more accommodating. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional. I was pleasantly surprised with the impeccably clean waiting area that had such a nice selection of beverages ;)
I had heard of Scruggs from other people over the years and they lived up to their name, they really helped me out when I needed it most! They worked with me to find everything I needed to basically rebuild the front end of my Wrangler and they did an amazing job! I highly recommend them, thanks again Scruggs!!! olllllllo
Ive been going to Scruggs for a few years. They do great work and stand behind it. The most recent was a total engine replacement. They had it done in 2 days, which was amazing.
Been to other places that were convenient Scruggs Auto in Elma went above and beyond in fixing my jeep. I learned the hard way that not all mehanics know what they are doing and are not honest ..its well worth the drive and the prices you cant complain. Transmission lines rusted so fluid leaked out causing vehicle not to engage into drive or reverse. Vehicle inspected and issues determined in a short period of time. All work accomplished sooner than calculated. Great job, thank you!!

The work I had done was excellent. I didnt care for the suggested extra work. I was told my rear shocks were leaking.. I checked them and they were fine. I have done my own work in the past and dont appreciate someone trying to get unnecessary work done.
I received a P0014 Solenoid B code with an engine light, but also heard some noise from my front engine and everything I read pointed to Timing Chain Assembly. First time taking vehicle to Scruggs and was thoroughly satisfied. Customer Service was fantastic. They made sure to check the solenoid to try and save me money but ultimately ended up with a larger repair which was the Engine Timing Assembly. I didnt expect to get it back for two days but they ended up fixing it in a day. Unfortunately it was expensive but I believe they did a great job and the price I paid was expected. Engine noise is gone, engine light is gone, code is gone so I am pretty happy. They also provided me a 3 year 36000 mile warranty on the engine work. I will use Scruggs again! I believe they care about quality of work as they are very thorough.

Went in for an alignment and let the desk person know my steering wheel was off to the left and to please make sure it was straight when the alignment was complete. My steering wheel was off to the left but worse when they finished. Other than that, they were attentive and courteous.

This is the only place I will ever take my vehicles. Honest and trustworthy employees. They dont try to push unneccessary work to be done and are very upfront about repairs. The service manager Josh is an absolute asset to the company. He goes way above and beyond to take care of his customers. I absolutely cannot stress enough how professional and fantastic he and rest of the staff are. Highly reccomend for any service you may need.
I had new wheels and tires as well as a lift installed on my JLUR. Very satisfied with the work done and they even provided a loaner car for me.Staff is very friendly and they make you feel at home, will definitely be coming back!

It’s always difficult having your vehicle worked on. The staff at the Elma shop really seam to take the pain and anguish out by being extremely accommodating and professional with scheduling and length of time to preform any necessary services. As far as the shop manager Josh I can’t say enough good things about him, he’s such a pleasure to do business with.

I was pleased when I called this establishment that I could get an appointment the following day for a leaky Tire.I was greeted professionally, and my questions were answered promptly. The service was done sooner than I expected, and they explained what day did to my car.This businessy has a very nice waiting area if one chooses to wait. I plan to use this company again for basic maintenance.
Completely trashed the front end of my Jeep JK on a Friday. Steering components snapped, tie rods, axle bent. Had it towed to Scruggs Elma. The shop opened at 8:30 Monday morning and I had a phone call by 10 giving me an update. I was back driving my Jeep by Tuesday. Incredibly impressive work, turn around time and communication. Weve had a great experience at Scruggs. The service manager, Josh, is extremely personable, responsive and helpful. Soon after we moved into the area a year ago I was looking for a shop to diagnose an issue on my car - Scruggs was the only place out of the handful of shops that I called who was willing to squeeze me in right away (turns out my previous shop didnt tighten the lug nuts very well, Scruggs fixed the issue for no charge!) Theyve done great work on both our vehicles ever since. Recently, weve been trying to keep two older cars going - Scruggs has been honest and helpful in letting us know exactly what needs to be done to our cars, respecting our budget without pressuring us to do more work than needed. This past week, I was test driving a car that I was considering buying. I called when I left the dealer and they got me right in to look at the car. They found some issues that the dealer missed and I was able to use that information to negotiate a lower price. I received a detailed printout of their recommendations. Im so glad weve found this great local shop!

I made an appointment to get my truck inspected at 12pm. I told them I didnt have much time. She said it would be half an hour (pending no repairs) ONCE they pulled it in. I asked how long that would be. Was told 15-20 minutes. Ok, I told her I was going to leave it and be back in an hour because I had horses out and rain was coming. An hour goes by and I hadnt heard anything. I call them. She goes oh, theyre just about to pull it in and I told them dont bother I was coming to get it. I went and picked it up. My truck was there for a full hour and they didnt look at it when I had an appointment. I scheduled an appointment because my time is very limited. It should been inspected in that hour. Dont over schedule things if youre going to make people wait for an hour and not even pull the vehicle in yet. I will be using A&M on bullis in elma from now on. Theyll come get the vehicle and drop it back offSince I cant reply, my work is also short staffed. Thats why I made an appointment for my vehicle to be inspected. If I had just walked in off the street, thats one thing. But I made an appointment and made it clear I had a limited amount of time. I didnt see and help wanted signs while I was there so not sure how youre advertising looking for help.
Scruggs is top notch, through and through. I have an 06 Wrangler, was getting death wobble terribly bad. didnt feel safe driving to drop off. The general manager in Elma (name escapes me) drives an hour with a flatbed, in a snowstorm, on a Friday night to pick her up. Already had necessary parts in stock, kept me well updated thru the repair process, and didnt do anything till I knew about it. Recommend to anyone thats used to the big chains ripping you off to check these guys out. Hats off to the gents at Scruggs. 11/10.

As a long time customer of Scruggs Elma I figured the time has finally come to leave a review. I have been taking my Jeep Wrangler to scruggs for over 3 years. I originally brought in my jeep to get bigger tires mounted and balanced. Josh walked me through the price and options. I left that day in 2018 confident and satisfied with the service and from then on the relationship with scruggs grew. Over the past few years I have had everything I could think of done at scruggs from engine work, to suspension work, aftermarket lifts, modifications and everything in between. The reason I continued to spend thousands and thousands at scruggs was the service and professionalism that Josh and Chris bring to the table. Josh and Chris are the service advisor team that will walk you through all of the options and solutions to fix any issue that will arise. They are up front with costs and honest with what HAS to be done and what can wait, that is something you wont get anywhere else. You never have to worry about being oversold on things that arent needed. The thing that really made scruggs different was when Josh and Chris this past winter said it might be time to sell my jeep, the amount I was putting into it every week and its value were beginning to go in two different directions. The jeep might have been sold, but as I bought a new truck I knew on day one it would be at scruggs for a check up to make sure everything was up to par. Josh, Chris, and Corey have never let me down, and certainly wont let you down either.
Everyone was friendly. The process was smooth. Work was well explained. I will be back.
I worked with Chris, the service advisor, who got my car in immediately after I called frantically. Corey, the lead foreman, stayed late and got my brakes and rotors done in no time. I will definitely be back especially after Chris set me up with their rewards program.

Ive been going to Scruggs in Elma for years. Always the best experience in auto repair. They do awesome 4x4 customization work but any repairs done as well. Very competent employees who take the time to do IT RIGHT not just do it fast. They stand buy there work even if its a problem with the parts not installation. Very knowledgeable staff. We just started going to Scruggs earlier this year as our mechanic of many years retired. We were looking for a professional, experienced and fair mechanic.Boy, did we hit the jackpot! We are more than pleased. Had our truck & van serviced/inspected as well as our motorhome & camper. Last week we were all packed up ready to go after packing up the motorhome & camper, 4 kiddos, 3 adults, food, supplies, clothes etc. we had 2 hours drive ahead of us. Pulling down our street our brakes were locking up. (It was a brake controller because we were pulling the little camper with our motorhome.) We pulled into Scruggs, all 7 of us. The Scruggs’s service team Inspected our situation and we needed a part. Could not drive without it. They ordered it from half an hour away. They said it would take about 3 - 3 1/2 hours to install. They stopped what they were doing and we were on the road in 2 1/2 hours. We were at our destination before sundown allowing us to set up camp. And the 4 kiddos were more than happy that our vacation was not canceled, adults too.Happy Campers!!!We highly recommended Scrugg’s!!! 😊
I recently purchased a used 2003 Honda CR-V and Scruggs did an excellent job identifying suggested repairs and general maintenance items. A link that included all bids, with supporting photos, was sent to me via text message. I simply checked which items I wanted fixed, directly from the bid page, and they took care of the rest. Went in for an inspection at 830 and the techs started straight away. Sales and auto techs were nice and knowledgeable. Also they didn’t try to sell me on something I don’t need, like a lot of other places. I know cars and I know whats needed and not needed. Good experience all around. 10/10 Would recommend
They were very efficient and took care of me right away. Called on a Saturday and I was in for an oil change by Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning I came back for suggested wiper blades and they took my right away. Didn’t keep me waiting. Friendly and honest staff! I would highly recommend for all of your automotive needs.

Scruggs is great! They are all trustworthy and they really try to help you out the best that they can. Everyone is very accommodating- it is so easy to make an appointment because I can just text the receptionist when I need to come in. Another cool thing that they do is take pictures of your car underneath and send them to your email; that just proves that they are honest and want you to be involved in the care of your vehicle. Also they send coupons out all of the time which is a huge help! I definitely recommend them.
I had some upgrades done to my car, courtesy of Scruggs in Elma. I was very impressed by the workmanship of the installation. We even encountered some unusual difficulties that required some follow-up troubleshooting at Scruggs on Transit. Jeffs team is very talented, entertaining, and really up to whatever automotive task you throw at them. Ive always been coming to Scruggs for the convenience and fair pricing. Never taken my vehicles in except for inspections.When I needed to have my Jeep diagnosed, Scruggs was the first place I went to, and it was the best decision I made.Their down to earth employees, and competitive pricing on their work, in my opinion, is second to none. We moved to the southtowns a couple years ago and were in need of basic car maintenance. After trying a couple places that were just in and out not really friendly or even went into detail about our car issueswe discovered Scruggs. Josh is always amazing to work with especially because i usually end up calling last minute, he always makes time to squeeze us in. I have to bring my 3 children with me when i make appointments and they have a tv and a couple toys the kids can play with! Its a win win... Everyone is very polite and just great to do business with. Im so happy we found them!

Took my car in without an appointment, they made an assessment and gave me a ride home. My car was done yet mid-day the next day. They also found that I was leaking coolant and made a quick repair on that for no extra charge.

The crew is exceptionally professional. Prices are a bit higher in some areas and better in other areas of service and upgrade and or repair. However, the expertise of the crew out weights in comparison.

2022-07-01Took 2 vehicles in for inspections on the same day. Everything was great!! Both vehicles were taken care of promptly. Communication from their end was greatly appreciated with appointment reminders and completion of work. Contact with all employees on-site was pleasant and professional. Thats why my family has gone to Scruggs automotive-Elma for many years and will continue to do so in the future.

2022-05-26Scruggs does really nice clean work as well as provides an entire diagnostic of the whole car. The user friendly site where you can accept or deny any fixes they may perform along with prices, is amazing and definitely not something you get with any other shop I’ve been to. They are organized and comprehensive with pictures and videos of the specific issues they are referring to. Unfortunately I was working within a strict budget so I did end up denying a lot but it gave me a good picture of what may need done in the future. Speaking of budget, they worked with me on every question I had and any ways to save money. I truly would recommend them to anyone, thank you for the work Scruggs! My Jeep is a happy Jeep again!

2022-01-26Another great alignment on one of my lowered vehicles. Unlike other shops, Scruggs did not mind working on a vehicle that has an altered suspension. They have aligned 3 different vehicles of mine, and all have been great results, with friendly and on time service at a reasonable price.

2022-06-15I had heard good things about Scruggs and decided to take my Jeep there to have some modifications done. The GM Chris sat down with me and walked me through a variety of options I could choose from. His experience and input was extremely helpful. He ordered all the parts etc and called when they had all arrived to set up the appt to install everything. They did a great job and I couldn’t be happier with the way my Jeep looks and handles now. I’ll definitely continue to use Scruggs for all my future work on it. Highly recommend.

2022-05-02Scruggs is by far the best in class auto repair business I have ever had the pleasure working with!!! I was having suspension issues after lifting my Jeep Wrangler. I found the Owner Jeff from a Facebook Jeep Wrangler group that said Scruggs is the best. Jeff personally responded to my request for help within 45 seconds of me asking via text. Jeff met me at the Elma location for my appointment to ensure I was taken care of. He placed me in the hands of his staff and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The shop staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable and willing to help in any way they can. Chris and Chelsea are customer facing and are absolutely wonderful to work with. The mechanic took me back to show me what he found and what needed to be done to fix it. I’m a woman new to Jeeping and they made sure they took their time to answer all my questions. They take photos and use technology to the fullest. My quote they sent to me via text had the photos and pricing with the detail of the work to be performed. The shop is immaculate and well maintained. A great company owned by great people that genuinely care about their customers as much as their staff. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you Scruggs!
