Beach is very serene and relaxing. The accommodations were not in good condition, furniture was worn, ants were a pesky problem. The resort freely offered a 10% discount as they recognized the problem. Come here if you want a laid back beach condo, and dont care too much about the conditions of the accommodations.
This was not as advertised at all. The holes and paint off the wall. Dog feces in bags left in patio. Old appliances rust on refrigerator, old furniture trying to be antique , foil on the stove. I have video of the shower which absolutely awful. The water pressure was non existent and the shower head wouldnt stay up. *I was refunded 1 nights stay.* I still feel like I paid too much.
We’ve been coming to the Sea Crest for decades and the service and rooms have lost an expected standard. The men who are in charge of the chairs and umbrellas on the beach were very rude when I asked nicely for one more chair and an umbrella while holding my infant as I needed shade for her. His response was, “you have enough” (we didn’t even have enough chairs for everyone in our group and we were renting 3 $500+/night rooms for a two week period). Not to mention we tip generously each day which apparently means nothing. Our room was stuffed full of furniture and clutter of the owners to the point that we had to put half of it in the closets so to be able to move around and use the storage and table surfaces. The bed, from 2002, was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. The carpet was gross, who knows how long it had been there. Some units are updated and this one was pitched as renovated but that was a stretch. There was mold on the interior of the shower and not a single hook for towels in the entire 1-bedroom unit. While these units are owned by individuals, management should uphold a certain standard for every room to maintain a safety standard and bed comfort. In addition, some of that staff are sour like bad grapes. Housekeeping was great and always helpful.
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!I’ve never seen a beach hotel or any other hotel this clean! Simple, cozy, perfect spot for a vacation. 30 sec walk from patio to the beach. The walkout patio felt super secluded and the view was of the dune and partial ocean view. The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed. The heated pool was still open on Oct 8 and it was warm (it said around 95f), even tho the air temp was ~70 and cloudy. Pool was great tho, big and clean.Location was perfect too. Secluded but a couple amazing restaurants very close. We stayed in Rappallo #24. Highly recommended!!
We enjoyed a little stay-cation here in October 2019, and it was PERFECT. Staff was lovely, the unit we stayed in was impeccably clean with toiletries provided and a gorgeous walk-in shower. Can accommodate up to 4 children if they are OK with sharing (one bunk bed in spare room). Master bedroom had separate TV, comfy king bed. Only critique: not a lot of closet space, no dresser in master...wide shelves to pile clothes on or keep in suitcase. Kitchen/fridge were in working order, clean...and a dishwasher! Beach access by walkway over the dunes (you can hear the ocean!), easy 30-minute drive to wineries, museums, pumpkin-picking, farm stands, art galleries, hiking trails and the Montauk Lighthouse. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone wanting to avoid the summer crowds, but still experience the south fork east end...a lovely stay!
Great value, good price, huge space with its own private deck. When you enter the room its as if youre walking into a garden on the ocean. Its beautifully designed walkways gives you a nice warm welcome to the resorts. The room has its own living area with a large sized kitchen and its separate bedroom. The room has a contemporary mixed with country feel. Very modern and up to date appliances. The living area has a sofa bed which served very convenient when traveling with children or friends. I highly recommend this resort.
Beautiful views and ocean front condos. The condos are privately owned so most are pretty outdated on the inside but offer the essentials - mini fridges, towels, soap, etc. The cost of the rooms are on the mid to lower price range in comparison to other Montauk hotels, but even with the lower cost, the amenities do not align. The front desk is a facade with zero help offered. Do not confuse the check-in desk as any type of informative reception desk or concierge. We plugged our electric car into one of the outdoor outlets and received a note from the property that our car will be towed if we did not move. The boys at the beach were the most helpful and there are chairs available for use during the day which are nice. The pool and life guard was also lovely and clean. Great for a long wedding weekend stay.
Was thrilled with this place. Had no idea that it included a full kitchen. View was lovely, room spotless, and all the furnishings, etc. seemed very new. You might want an upper floor cause our upstairs neighbors were noisy. Other that that, this was a perfect getaway weekend. Would return in a heartbeat.
We have been coming here for years. Like staying on the ocean side...not great if you have a hard time with steps or walking tho- Gravel walkways & steps to get to most of the units. Housekeeping daily. Love having kitchen for the time we are there. Beach access with chaises & towels
Very nice hotel/building. The room was equip with a mini kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, Keurig, and toaster. **if you plan to use the coffee pot or Keurig, make sure you bring your own cups/ grinds. This little additive was super convenient. The rest of the room was beautiful and so clean, would definitely recommended. However, very strict rules, so keep that in mind.
Sea Crest room #46. My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a short trip in Montauk for a couple of days, and it exceeded our expectations. We have never stayed here b4 and in fact, this was our first getaway so close to home. It was great! The one bedroom aprtment was clean, modern and had a balcony overlooking the beach. It was super close to the Lobster roll, Clam shack and Goldbergs bagels, which was great since we didnt bring anything to cook in the kitchen. The pool was clean and heated and the beach was close, with a beautiful boardwalk for easy access. So close to Montauk village and again clean. We would definitely stay here again!! 👍👍
We stayed a long weekend in a 2 bedroom. The unit was so horrible and disappointing with a broken oven and stove and no shower head. Not to mention a dirty couch with no other living room seating. We felt like we were camping versus staying in a nice resort. I would not recommend staying at seacrest.
Comfortable and quiet in the off season. Saltwater heated pool and tennis court is great when opened during the season. Also location is really nice becaue its before the more crowded montauk area. Suites my taste. Staff is friendly. Room is clean. Love the upper level.
Sea Crest is set on a lovely ocean front location in Amagansett and it was the perfect setting for a family gathering. Units were all spotless clean and newly renovated. In addition to the great beach, there is a heated pool and tennis courts. I will definitely stay here again.
My go to place out east on LI. Enjoy the beach and pool, or drive to town to get a bite to eat and enjoy an ice cream at scoop de jour. You can also make a toast or simple sanwitch at the kitchen. I love the room, very well laid out, nice balcony for relaxing and lounging.
Overall it is a nice place, but dont expect service and reception like in a hotel. We arrived late, the tiny office unmarked in the dark back of the building was closed. They left a note for us in an unexpected place that we discovered just when we were about to leave and look for a different accommodation..
Me and my girlfriend love seacrest. ItIs clean, scenic, quite and quaint. Montauk village is about a 10 minute ride so food and other attractions are right down the road. Lets not forget the view, we have stayed at a lot of hotels and resorts and for some reason the view with seacrest is unmatched. Go today youll love it !
Among the many hotels or motels between Amagansett and Montauk certainly one of the most beautiful. The Seacrest is located on the seafront, so off the highway, while other facilities such as Beachcomber through the highway are cut off from the sea. It seems like a kind of time-sharing model where each unit belongs to someone else. In any case, some units are beautifully renovated and better equipped, while others are older and less equipped, regardless of the price ranges according to their website. So questions are worth it. Carmen and the other staff were very nice and friendly. The beach is very nice and clean. The sea is rich in seafood, as can be seen from the many pieces of shells and crabs. Our additional tip: a trip to the Hither Hills State Park, to the Fresh Pond.

2022-06-19We had an wonderful experience this past week. San Remo ocean front first floor. Many thanks to Eric front desk who was polite, friendly and knowledgeable and walked me through the process. It is a gamble, but we requested a renovated suite and we were lucky to get it. We were also lucky no one was on the second floor so didnt have much noise. The room, bathroom, kitchenette were all clean, comfortable and good quality. Perfectly stocked with cooking equipment, cups, plates, towels, toiletries, iron, coffee machine. Oceanfront could not be beat. Just rolled out of bed in the morning, had coffee looking at the ocean and stepped off to the beach. Great value and one of the most relaxing vacations we have had.

2022-02-09Overall the room is decent. Absolutely no safety lights at night to help to navigate the property. Bring a flashlight and make sure your wives have pepper spray. You’ll be very lucky if there’s anyone at the front desk or if anyone answers the phone. So hopefully you never have an emergency. This place is so lazy that when checking in late, instead of having someone at the front desk to greet you and welcome you, they put your name on an envelope and put your room info (door code and all) inside and stick it in a glass case outside the office where any passerby can open it up and have all your info. Probably the most unsafe and unprofessional establishment I’ve ever experienced. So ladies Do Not Stay Here alone. Power frequently goes out as well. So make sure you know how to pop the power back on with the serket breaker

2022-05-285/2021: Unit 27, lower level, ocean front (next to the stairs leading to the beach). Great layout and fit for our small family of 3. King-sized, extra comfy bed in one room, bunk beds in the other (not nearly as comfy). Open kitchen & living concept, updated bathroom w/tile shower. The covered patio area faces the ocean w/ a view of the dunes and a small sliver of ocean, but with great acces. Fantastic location for anyone looking to explore the Hamptons. Short drive to lots of great restaurants. No contact check-in and concierge housekeeping (in lieu of regular daily cleaning) was easy and effective because of text message notifications. We never wanted for anything. Plenty of parking.5/2022: Unit 26, lower level, ocean front. Small kitchen with very little storage and no room for meal prep. Nicely updated bathroom, a tv in each room, and a great covered patio area. The open kitchen to living concept helps make the unit feel bigger, but storage throughout is lacking. The decor is a bit outdated, but is sufficient. The 2nd bedroom with the bunk beds was badly mildewed and we had to strip the beds, clean all of the surfaces and keep a fan going with the door closed and a window open the whole week. We could not stay in or store anything in that room. It appears to be an ongoing issue from the mildew growing on the lamp shades in both bedrooms. A dehumidifier might be a good investment. The location cant be beat and we will be back to the resort, though will probably opt for a more updated unit.

2021-12-31Really enjoyed our stay. The one bedroom apartment along the St. Tropez strip was located steps from the beach. I think the apts are privately owned and they’re all different but we lucked out with a newly renovated one. Kitchen had everything you need. Bed was just okay. Hope to come back soon.

2021-12-16This place is disgusting. We stayed over this past summer, booked for 5 nights. We stayed for 1 night and the next night luckily we got into the crown reef resort. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free.

2021-04-20Great little place. Right next to the beach. Has free wifi but cellular coverage is no nonexistent (sprint/T-Mobile). Cant beat the view if you like the ocean. Apartments were clean and cozy, however could use some updating.
