The eco carnival this Earth day weekend was a perfect way to celebrate the Earth and learn about helping the environment. The volunteers did a great job making a family friendly adventure.
My family and my band, the Suburban Brothers Band, have been supporters of Seatuck for many years. Good people doing an important and difficult job, preserving land, wildlife and nature on Long Island. The annual Eco-Carnival is a great example of their outreach and efforts.
Came here for Bats and Brews event was a great time with gracious host would love to come back for a more educational visit!
This is the best family-oriented nature center, with programs for kids in pre-school on through to science-based marine science field trips. Seatuck Environmental Association runs the Suffolk County Environmental Center at this location and has nature appreciation activities at other Long Island sites including the 200+ acre South Shore Nature Center in East Islip.Help preserve the environment by joining Seatuck!
Very nice house to visit. Well preserved. Be advised in the summer the bugs, mosquitoes in particular, are everywhere! They will literally swarm you

Seatuck is an adventure in exploring what Long Islands coastal was before our encroachment. That said .. embrace nature as it is and was. You might want to bring bug spray though

Beautiful nature preserve with wonderful events. Great for learning, relaxing, or just surrounding yourself with nature for exercise.
Tour the mansion, there is a lot of history there. The area offers different plants and animals life for the nature enthusiast.

Quiet, lovely deers wondering about, saw a few foxes. Small, but a pleasant place to visit.

2018-03-10A wonderful oasis, preserved for all generations, along the Great South Bay of Long Island. One of my favorite spots for hiking with my children, walking on well maintained trails and boardwalks through the woods, marshes and reeds.

2020-02-17Nice little space to walk through on your way to the beach. Theres a very easy loop trail with lots of boardwalk. They regularly host environmental and conservationist events. Proud to have this place in our town.

2021-05-31Highly unprofessional, bordering on fanatical. I questioned whether playback was harmful to birds in a public forum (I personally do not use it) and was insulted by this group from their nonprofit Facebook page. It was very disturbing, to say the least. Every other response I received on the forum was positive and polite, only to be insulted by a fanatical environmental association.

2019-10-24Went to Bats and Brews here. Boy do they know how to throw a party. Live music, plenty of beers to sample, awesome food from local restaurants... And its all included with your entry fee.

2020-04-25A beautiful and peaceful place. I took a great walk. Enjoyed the peace and serenity. Fresh air and the birds were singing. Easy to get in and out and park on site

2017-10-16People running this place for the past 10 years are very rude and racist. I cannot believe how they treat people after we gave them a donation. Clearly we got kicked out because we were to loud. They called us the circus. Very disrespectful both of them. After they called us the circus they were we are only allowed to take pictures in the front and we are not allowed to go no where else. What kind of customer service is that?Clearly they just want to take donations and miss treat people. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

2019-12-31I enjoyed my time there. Was able to learn about some environmental issues and solutions for the Islip area. I also learned some Long Island history. The mansion is a historic building. Simply marvelous and amazing.

2017-03-18My husband and I were recently married at the Scully Estate, and we couldnt have been happier. Full of charm and character, it was the perfect place for our intimate winter wedding. We live overseas and family from both the US and Europe all fell as in love with the space as we did. Ellen was phenomenal both before and during the wedding. Planning a wedding in a few short months from thousands of miles away can be incredibly daunting- we never had to worry about the venue, though, as Ellen was always responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our day special and what we wanted. By the end of the day we were thrilled to have her there not only as a coordinator, but as a friend. The rest of the staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. We cant recommend Scully Estate enough, and are excited for those of you who have yet to experience your own special day there!
