Good food....good prices. Turtle Sundae was amazing and tons of ice cream. Sebbs burger was really good as well. Nice atmosphere, nice staff. Food came out fast. Plenty of parking and seating. Im sure this place gets really busy. Keep in mind its by the lake. So if you go at a busy time youll probably have to wait a little
I highly recommend trying the Sebs burger (the sauce is excellent)! The burger is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and has just thebright amount of Sebs sauce and toppings. The onion rings are also seasoned to perfection and are gluten free (they definitely taste like normal ones). I also recommend their buffalo chicken sandwich. Perfectly spicy, not too messy. Always large portions!Great customer service and are always patient and fast!
Service was good. The food was good. The outdoor seating super pleasant. The menu is filled with fairly standard fare, though the fried pickles are a definite standout. There is a nice selection of cold and hot sandwiches, burgers and entrees, plus pulled pork egg rolls and other appetizers. Definitely worth a visit.
The most delicious chicken sandwich ever! Super thick, deliciously coated, and moist! Ice cream rocked and portions were more than generous. We loved it! The Galbato bro’s have a great gig going with attention to detail, great service, and delicious gluten free options!
I took my grandmother to lunch and we had the very best fish sandwich I have ever had!!! Its got to be one of their best dishes - you must try it!!! Yes it is somewhat pricey ($15+) for the fish dinner - but seriously it is so delicious you have to try it.We were very happy with our entire experience at Green Shutters! I hear their Indelicato burger is amazing too - looking forward to trying that another time!
Amazing, spread out seating more than 6ft , all employees wear masks and are very kind. The girl that was working when we were there was super kind and even gave my daughter extra sprinkles she was so happy. You should definitely go to green shutters. Oh and 1 more thing....DELICIOUS ICE CREAM
I think the food is delicious, and I love that they buy everything local where they can. The desserts are delicious and homemade. Its a great place to grab a meal and sit outside enjoying the weather. Theres plenty of shade so youre not baking in the sun. And they have live music. And a shout out to our waitress Jessica, who was very patient and very nice.
Went for lunch today. It was very cold in the restaurant. Had to leave my coat on. Ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. The napkins that my silverware was rolled in was dirty. The soup tasted like barbecue sauce. Service was fine though. Would love to see this place near my home succeed. But right now I’m not impressed
I want to start by saying that I really want Green shutters to succeed. Its around the corner from my house and its always been a convenient place to stop for ice cream or dinner when its too hot to cook. Since the restaurant opened this year under new ownership, weve ordered dinner once and ice cream probably ten times. We keep going, hoping that as time goes on service will get better, and were disappointed every time. We arent complicated people. Reeses pieces sundaes are made the same way everywhere. Vanilla soft serve, hot fudge, peanut butter, Reeses pieces. The first time we ordered, we got burnt fudge and caramel. The second time, one sundae had at least three scoops of ice cream and the other had barely one. Tonight, they sent my husband home with chocolate ice cream, fudge, and Reeses pieces. All the while, weve never been charged the same amount for two sundaes. We really wanted to give them some time to get into the swing of things but at this point, I think weve had enough. We probably wont be back.
We went to Green Shutters on Memorial Day. Pretty busy, but were able to find a seat. Burgers were good (meat is from Indelicatos) but the service was a bit lacking. They didnt seem to have a clear system of assignments so we had multiple people checking if wed ordered yet even after we already had. Prices of the sides were a little high considering nothing comes with any of the main dishes. Atmosphere was great and we loved the music.
Sat for 20 minutes before a waitress came to table. I had their pulled pork it sucked dinner companion had mushroom Swiss burger all you could taste was the mushrooms. Fries came with both sandwiches one order was burnt the other under cooked. Needless to say never going back. Youd be better off staying home and having PB&J
This is a rewrite because the place has changed hands since. The previous place sucked. The new owners friendly, welcoming are amazing! Their chicken sandwiches are not run of the mill chicken sandwiches and if your local I highly recommend giving it a try! I only have one tiny thing I wish they would change. They refuse to give a printed receipt.
Just came from having dinner there. We had the “Big Southern” Garlic fries, Reuben special and cheddar fries. I’ve had better Reuben at Arby’s. The fries were cold when they came out. The cost was over $36.00 and that did not include a tip. Won’t go again even for just ice cream.
I am removing my earlier review from 2019, as Green Shutters is now Sebs Green Shutters and is totally under new management. Green Shutters has been through a few owners and mangers the past 5 years or so, and finally someone has bought it that wants to run it well. All my recent experiences at Sebs Green shutters have been good. The menu is not extensive (Think burgers dogs and fries) but good, and the ice cream is great. With COVID tossing a big ol wrench in all their plans, they still seem to have done well.Heres hoping that as we return to some kind of normal Sebs keeps it up with quality, and can maybe expand the menu a little next year.
Wow! I loved it! Clean with great eye appeal in style and creativity! The staff was super polite and friendly! The food was fantastic and you can expect it to be a little pricey but I felt all the way around it was a special place and I did not mind paying a little extra considering.
Super - lunch was great - nice to see people @Green Shutters! Will be at Green Shutters now on Fri for lunch thru the Summer! Tks Seb for opening Green Shutters. I hope many will take advantage of Green Shutters being open & support GS often..Seb wishing u the best Summer😊pk
Stopped in a couple days after Green Shutters had opened and was greeted by Sarah. Sat in the back room it was mid afternoon and a bit cold out so I had the whole room to myself. Great period music playing in the background very relaxing.... For lunch I ordered the sausage and peppers why no onions I dont know. But even with out the onions the sandwich was delicious, nice and hot with a nice fresh bun and nice crispy fries.....just enough food so you didnt have to leave any or have to waddle out because of being stuffed.....on the whole Green Shutters is a tradition as much as I miss the counter as Im sure some do the food and service is excellent and always with a smile..... And with Dana back ( not cooking which is a shame.....best breakfast ever ) fingers crossed.....go and enjoy......PS. Sarah makes a mean Bloody Mary..... Bon appetit......
Keep in mind that I also would like this ice cream restaurant to succeed. Menu is too limited and they are not accommodating to standard bbq fare ( macaroni salad, pasta salad...) instead trying to fancy up coleslaw and mozzarella balls. They also don’t provide a children’s menu or seniors menu and pricing. Prices are on the high side and limit those with families or those from Emerson Park from taking advantage. To pay $4 for a hotdog only or $11.50 for burger and fries is a little out of the ballpark. At this time I would not recommend a young family going there to eat.
Tonight I stood at the ice cream window for 10 minutes waiting to be served, I rang the bell twice and still no one came to the window. I watched as two employees bussed tables outside and looked my way as they reentered the building, but I was still not waited on. It’s not the first time I’ve been dissatisfied with the new ownership. From now on I will be sure to take my business elsewhere.
Terrible experience! Awful service! Went with five people..two people had their food forgotten. Our waitress came out to take our order and didnt return again until we asked for our check. The girl running the food out was frustrated due to having to go back and forth because of messed up orders. A few tables of people came in after us and were left without being attended to for up to 15 minutes or until they asked for service.
Amazing! I had Gluten Free Fried Chicken with GF onion rings! Im so happy to have a place close to home that supports the celiac folks who have to eat GF. I ordered online and called and they brought it to my car when I came there. Fast, easy , and my food remained hot and ready to eat. Thanks again!
It may be small but this is some of the best food you will find in the area! Executive Chef Floyd House also has Premier Catering so I have had a large selection of his food on wedding buffets and can honestly say there was not one single item I wouldnt recommend! He cooks Prime Rib to perfection, makes his pasta sauces from scratch, Chicken piccata is light and flavorful and his cheese souflee is AMAZING! Not to mention his is the nicest guy!!! His family is involved in the business too so everyone genuinely cares about their customers and it shows-from their phone manners to the way they go above and beyond for people.

2022-06-17We love Sebs. Always super busy but there seems to be a parking spot every visit, which is often. Their ice cream is very rich, more cream than ice. Service is fast & friendly. We love their huge sundaes, huge shakes and their double cheeseburger is fresh tasting & very delicious. Great value in todays economy & they are open till 9pm!!! YUM

2022-07-02TLDR; top notch service, great food, will be back again to try more.UPDATE JULY 2022: Came here w/ fam on the weekend. Chicken again and had the burger (would not recommend over the burgers). Had ice cream too, but one order was wrong (thought the extra bits expected were buried, so ate a little) and all orders were just too much (expecting 1 scoop, got three). Have to take a star off for meh experience this time. /endWriting from a Friday night in June, 2020. Ordered online the two chicken sandwiches (grilled, fried), chicken tenders w/ house sauce, the Hofmann dog, and two orders of onion rings.Arrived for curbside pickup at the future scheduled time for pickup (later than the online suggested time). Called in, was answered quickly, and told the order would be out.Waited 23 minutes - watched New Yorks clouds and the many people coming by (was a busy Friday night). The owner came out with the order, apologized for the wait, and asked how long I waited, what I did for my order, etc and assured me of action to iron out the online system (online times do not consider foot-traffic).As an afterthought, the owner invited me into the diner. There, he gave me two ice creams with chocolate drizzle, free of charge (needless to say, I was touched). The chicken was very large and quite juicy - some of the best fried chicken Ive had (not greasy; might be from the gluten-free batter). The onion rings were also almost sweet, the house dipping sauce a very good match for it. The only meh portion of the meal (the ice cream was tasty) happened to be the Hofmann dog. It was good as a hot dog, but it was a hot dog in a soft bun (about it) - would try the Coney dog instead.Next time, will stop in for a shake, some of the hard ice cream, and both the Coney dog and burgers, though getting the chicken is a very viable option! Will be back - thanks to the owners hospitality, quality of food, and price of product.

2021-08-16Food was ok, all Ala Carte. You order, pay and find a seat. They bring the food to you. Unfortunately 🐝 🐝 chased me from my original table and made stand ready to 🏃🏾♀️ from the other table.

2020-09-01The serving sizes of the ice cream are good and it tastes absolutely delicious. The caramel sundae I had today was the best one Ive had in the area.

2020-06-04Service and waitstaff needs to be retrained. They all seemed to be very confused. Was there last weekend and a couple also waiting at the table with us gave up waiting and left. Been a week now and still waiting on a bottle of ketchup. On the plus side...food was delicious.
