We had a very positive experience renting our unit at Extra Space Storage on 4th Ave in New Hyde Park, NY. Daniel, the store manager was very helpful, friendly and professional. The facility is pristine, with easy access to all units and the rates are very competitive.
The facility is very clean and well maintained and has great access. Dan and Ray are very helpful, transparent and informative, Ray walked me through the facility and made sure I was comfortable. Dan and Ray are fantastic!
I am leaving one Extra Space storage unit due to several disappointments, lack of customer service, and quality overall service to come over to this Location. Daniel Tan, the new location manager was attentive and patient answering all of my questions with honesty and attentiveness. When he didn’t have a concrete answer, I appreciated his acknowledgment of not having an answer at that time instead of feeding me BS.When I called the Herricks location to close out, I was literally told “ok, so move your stuff out and just leave the door open” - there was no further dialogue or desire to keep me as a consumer or even ask why I was “moving out” which solidified my choice even more.
Daniel is friendly and the location is super clean. He listened and gave options to all my questions. It’s so great to find good customer service.
Ray was very helpful and knowledgeable. This is our first time getting a storage unit and he made me feel very comfortable.

My family and I recently got a storage unit here and it has been wonderful. Dan the store manager has been exceptionally helpful, amicable and accommodating, he makes it a point to get to know us and is willing to go the extra mile if we need any help.

2022-06-25Daniel was so helpful and had the most welcoming personality. He gave me great prices and first month free. I can’t express enough how warm, understanding and calming the experience was. Not the typical experience I’m used to when at a storage facility. Another plus is the location is on a street off of the main road so it was not chaotic. Thank you Daniel for being one of the nicest people I’ve met in a while.

2022-03-02I found Extra Space because I was looking for the phone number of a place recommended to me because they were inexpensive. Well after calling them and getting prices I figured, why not? Extra Space was about 15% less expensive, so much cleaner and closer to home. I may not be social media savvy or quickly pull up reviews and compare but I have been in the service industry for a corporation for the past 30 years and I know honesty, friendliness and when someone is not being condescending because Im a Boomer. Hats off to Extra Space Storage and Daniel Tan for making my experience quick, much less stressful and for explaining everything fully that I didnt even have to ask any more questions. Extra Space is Extra Great!

2022-04-26Excellent experience. I booked online and storage unit was available same da. Upon arriving I was greeted by Daniel who welcomed me and answered some questions I had. When I disclosed my desire to change units, it was not a problem. Upon my second time visiting the facility, I was greeted by not only Daniel but also Ray. I’ve experienced excellent service and feel like extremely comfortable and satisfied with my experience thus far.

2022-06-21I conducted research online and Extra Space had the best price for the size and location. They were also the only company that had large storage rooms available. The storage building is immaculate and the Manager, Ray was the consummate professional - polite, competent and efficient. I highly recommend the Extra Space in New Hyde Park!!! The room I rented more than meets my family’s needs. A three bedroom home and a packed garage will all fit quite nicely with room to spare!! I am quite pleased that I found them!! Carole J
