I went in with two of my friends, we are all people of color, I just went there to get grab a lipstick for graduation. Within seconds so walking in some workers of the store were following us, looking at us like we were going to steal. They kept asking us if we need help repeatedly, even though we told them we did not need help. I have been racially profiled before so I know all the signs. We were extremely uncomfortable but I just wanted to get the things for my graduation and leave. Hopefully they pay attention to this review, but I know they will most likely ignored it.
Horrible. I can’t even describe how uncomfortable my sister and I felt shopping here. After denying assistance, there are employees glaring from all corners of the store, communicating on the walkie talkies and watching our every move, following us from aisle to aisle. Why would i want to spend my hard-earned money here? Employees are running from one end of the store to hound us. Extremely unnecessary behavior. Couldn’t even enjoy my experience as a customer. I was so close to dropping everything in my basket and leaving. Shop here if you want to feel targeted and discriminated against.
At Sephora I bought a perfume for my wife, not wanting to pick the wrong one I showed the picture to an associate who grabbed it for me. When my wife opened the outer box as I gave her it as a gift the inner box was a different scent altogether. Obviously I went to fix the situation. First they told me they’d switch it in store, they came back and it was out of stock. Then they told me they’d order it online but I couldn’t get the same price I’d gotten it for. That would’ve been fine I just wanted to get my wife her gift, unfortunately it’s out of stock online. Finally I asked if it were in any nearby stores. When the associate uttered Boston. So instead of a fantastic gift I walked out with nothing. She gave a half hearted sorry and told me I could have the website notify me if it becomes available again…
I came in exhausted after work to search for a new foundation because my beauty supply store brands were getting old and tired. I walked in completely clueless of course & ESSENSE literally went above and beyond to help me find my perfect match! I have the weirdest shade of skin. I was so very happy with her patience and assistance. Thank You ESSENSE! I will always look for you! The best! 🙌🏽
I placed an order for curbside pickup, and the instructions for where to pickup were awful. I called the store to clarify where I should park, and I was told to park at the curbside pickup spots by dunking donuts. After waiting ten minutes, a manager and employee finally came out and told me they had been looking for me and were completely unaware of this entire parking area despite the fact that their own employees are instructing customers to go there. Please get all of your staff on the same page and PLEASE update the parking instructions for curbside pickup online.
I came here today to go shopping to celebrate a personal mile stone. It was hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had I never felt like I had to escape and employee so badly to the point where other employees were trying to get me away from her. Let me explain, I went in and in the Dior make up sectionI was greeted by an employee who was telling me about the Sephora credit card and I told her I think about it but I’m shopping right now. So she stays with me the entire time I’m there commenting on every piece of make up that I pick up. Then I decide to move to the YSL section hoping she wouldn’t follow me so I can look at make up and make my own decisions. But she follows me over there to still talking to me about the credit card. explain its benefits and etc. and I told her OK I just wanna shop right now though so then I moved to the Charlotte Tilbury section where she continues to talk about it to me and then handed me off to the Charlotte Tillberry rep. The representative greeted me and left me alone to shop when the first employee saw that the Charlotte Tilbury rap left me alone to shop she came back and continue to talk about the credit card. When I told her again that I just wanna look at make up right now she walked away and told what I presume to be a manager that I’m going to sign up for a credit card, meanwhile I never said that. I went back to the do your make up section was able to pick up one item and lo and behold credit card girl is there again talking to me about the benefits of a credit card. I was able to finally walk away from her and go back to the Charlotte Tillberry representative to ask her to check me out and to keep me away from that lady who would not stop following me and hounding me because at this point I just want to leave I am unable to shop peacefully and look at new make up. The Charlotte Tilbury rep sneaks me to the fragrance section where a man rings me up both of these employees are now aware of me being followed and harassed by this credit card girl. And when the man in fragrance is finally able to ring me up after being informed about what’s happening the credit card girl comes back and starts bothering him and I about signing up for a credit card. This girl was so pushy and so forward she forced me to take out my phone and take a photo of her ID so I can write a review on her well here I am. Denisia had me hiding from her in the store, had two employees try to assist in getting her to leave me alone and as a result I was unable to finish my shopping trip and only left with the one item. I will not be returning to this location. Its clear that customers are only viewed as a commission opportunity by some of these employees. I will take my business to the lake success location instead. Since the employee was so demanding that I take a photo of her ID I have posted it here
Im very disappointed with how Hispanic or any other minority as they called it, get treated at sephora. Everytime I go to any sephora I noticed how the white customers get better treatment. They dont get follow around the store the way we do like we are going to steal. Not only they can shop with out being observe or follow around, but they get alot more help and better customer service. I just want all sephora stores to know that Hispanics or any other minority can shop and spend as much money as any other white person. Honestly Im tired of the lack of friendly customer service and the following around the store. Train all your employees to treat everyone the same!!!!
I have been shopping at Sephora for The past 15 years and I absolutely love it. I have always had a positive experience. Every time I go, I look forward to seeing Inessa Tannenbaum because she is by far the most lovely, helpful, compassionate and sweet lady I have ever met. She is very informative and knows all the answers to every single one of my beauty questions. She always greets every customer with a smile on her face and a positive comment to add. She makes shopping at Sephora the most pleasuring and positive experience ever. I only go to this particular Sephora in hopes of seeing her! I have been shopping there for the past 12 years and love going there because of her!!! Highly highly recommend!

2022-08-13I had a really great experience shopping at this store. Jasmine that works at this store was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. She listened to me and understood exactly what I was looking for. She picked out the perfect shades with me and helped me to get bunch of other items as well. She did not rush me eventhough the store was closing. She made my experience so pleasant.

2022-09-02The Candyland of the beauty industry-- I went in to purchase foundation-- and was pleased with the variety of choices and the specific brand I was in search for (Can I say Fenty?!😁) Although I had to ask for assistance (the technicians dont seem to inquire if you need help like they did in the golden olden days gone by-- you need to flag them down as they stroll by in perfumed clouds of their own thoughts), I got the best advice on which color/coverage I needed for my skin type.

2022-09-10I went in yesterday browsing some lip colors across 1 aisle. While doing so I had 7 different employees come up to me in a span of less than 2 minutes asking me if I needed any help. By the 4th one I started to get annoyed, by the 7th I was done- left my basket and the store. While I understand they are trying to help, I cannot concentrate when Im being constantly bombarded. This store needs a better system for maybe 2 employees per section.

2022-01-02The store is not stocked well, many colors of items are missing, but theres a lot of makeup packed into the store and the service is very pleasant. Its next to Nordstrom, on the 1st floor, in case you are looking for it in the Roosevelt Field Mall.

2022-09-11Your store needs to seriously reevaluate your curbside pickup services. I parked exactly where I was told to park given the instructions on the app. Right by the elevator. Right by urban outfitters. I waited a half an hour then gave up and went inside. The lady i went to pick up my order from claimed that someone already went out there and was looking and I should’ve just called the store. First of all, aren’t they supposed to call me if they can’t find me? Isn’t that reason listed when I gave my phone number at the pickup prompt? Anytime I’ve ordered in the past, that’s what has happened. How am i supposed to know when they’re out there looking for me? How am i supposed to help them find me if they don’t even communicate they can’t find me in the first place? Not a single call from them. So either the person sent out has horrible vision or is terribly incompetent, or both. There was an additional parking instructions on the pickup prompt as well, which I filled out in detail, down to the spot of exactly where I was and everything that was around me, so to say that someone couldn’t find me is hard to believe.
