SEPHORA in other cities:
Came with a friend who needed some stuff. A few reviews say the staff are rude etc, but the staff member who helped my friend was super nice and friendly. Some of the items she wanted to buy they did not have in stock....another thing a few other people who reviewed this location said. It does get busy since it is in a tourist area but we got help right away
SEPHORA.Sephora is a chain shop coming from French in the field of multinational retailer of personal care and beauty products since 1970 found by Dominique Mandonnaud. Those stores now could find in over 2,600 locations globally.Sometimes not all the branches having the same particular brands or are already available in the shop.No wonder when I came to visit NYC a relative ask my help to find certain products that were not ready in the nearest shop.So I was visiting the Sephora branch in Broadway NYC to find those products. The concept is a mini-market of cosmetics you can pick by yourself but the staff is always ready to help you if you cannot find what you need nor want to ask something. Theres a member card for loyal customers and some interesting programs would be arranged for members. Have a nice shopping.
My survey expired since its been a while, so Ill post here! I wanted to give a big thank you to Solomon who really took the time to help me select the perfect fragrance. Im happy with my D&G choice. His patience, positivity and professionalism is greatly appreciated and a great asset to your team. Thank you!!
I would like to give zero star if there was an option. I went there to pick up my birthday gift which I earned by purchasing stuffs from Sephora. I have been sent to 3 staffs to pick it up one to next. The last guy m gave me nasty attitude. They were all chatting not working in their working hrs. No customers like being treated like so. Lazy people do not deserve to be working on service department.
I used to think this Sephora location has the best service ever. Staffs used to be very optimistic always asking if their customers needed help. Today I only see the staffs stood aside, chatting in their little group. I asked for help but the staff was helping another customer and never returned back to me.At least the cashier was nice, so 3 star.
I like visiting Sephora often because its my happy place. I like coming here for a small pick me up treat or to replenish my stashes. Sometimes, I had great experiences and other times, I just been flat out ignored when trying to get assistance. The store is on the bigger side than other Sephoras in the city.
I had a personal shopper appointment with Nora. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, easy to work with, made me feel comfortable, and so kind. Nora takes the time to get to know you, and truly make recommendations that will not only address your skincare concern, but make you feel more like your authentic self.I highly recommend this experience for anyone who would like to personalized attention amidst the plethora of brand and product options.
I love Sephora especially this one in Soho! Everyone seems genuinely nice!! They offer help but not overbearing and there is ALWAYS someone around to assist should the need arise. A special shoutout to the cashier Nora, who went above & beyond, assisted in every way possible! She was super nice and patient. She truly made my day!!!
This Sephora unfortunately has been a complete nightmare. The staff here are extremely racist and prejudice! NOT POC FRIENDLY!The first incident I came inside the Sephora to wait for a friend. I took it upon myself to check out the makeup and to kill some time I decided to paint my nails by the nail studio. While I was painting my nails one of the associates approached me and told me that I couldn’t paint my nails where I was at and I needed to relocate to a different area. I moved to the area that they told me to move too and proceeded to paint my nails again. The associate approached the area once again and said that I couldn’t paint my nails with the nail polish I was using. I thought I misheard what they said and kept painting my nails like they left right after they said that. The third time the associate approached me they SNACTHED the nail polish away from me and said that I can’t use that nail polish. Then associate said to me that the nail polish was too expensive and out of my price range and told me that I should use the other nail polishes because it cheap. Before I can even address the associate’s racist and prejudice behavior they walked away. I approached the manager and told them of what just happened and the associate saw and they approached us and try to act that the situation never happened and lied saying that they was only looking for nail polish for me in the back which wasn’t true. I never implied that I needed help with anything because I never asked for any help with anything to begin with. The manager did absolutely nothing about the situation and proceeded to help a client with a question. The second incident I came into the store with a friend and decided to look at some makeup. The store was extremely crowded and staff were overly occupied. I tried numerous of attempts to get a staff member to assist my friend but they all refused. I took it upon myself to grab a sample cup and pour myself some product. When I was finished getting a sample the staff member named Lea or Leah approached me aggressively and scolded me for giving myself a sample and SNACTHED the sample away from me. But they were non people of color doing the exact same thing and lea didn’t say anything to them and walked away. I walked towards them and asked to speak with a manager and when I told the manager (Andrea) of what happened Andrea completely justified lea’s behavior and said clients aren’t allowed to pour themselves products. My frustration wasn’t that lea was following company procedures my frustration was the way lea approached, spoke and man handled me, while other customers were doing the exact same thing and they wasn’t treated the same way. While Andrea justified that behavior and did absolutely nothing to address what happened and told me not to do it again.Overall I don’t recommend this Sephora to anyone of color. If you aren’t white or look affluent, they will discriminate against you and mistreat you. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time, energy and money in this location. Sephora needs to train their employees and management how to communicate and treat all clients with respect and dignity that every customer deserves regardless of their race, sexual orientation and economic backgrounds. The following picture has the second employee (Lea) who snatched the product out of my hand (theyre the one in the circle)
Nice store but staff could be better. They didn’t restock the shelves of Dior perfume and I spent 5+ minutes trying to find someone to help me buy one but couldn’t get anyone. I realized there was a drawer under the perfume with the perfume boxes so I grabbed one out to buy and immediately a lady came yelling at me to not touch those boxes.Maybe I’m ignorant since I dont normally shop here but either have shelves stocked, staff available, or a sign that says you can’t grab your own product you plan to buy from the drawer. How else was I supposed to get it?
Came in here the other day in hopes of finding a new signature scent, and the employee by the name of Soul, made my experience ten times better! The best customer service I could have received! I wasn’t rushed or judged at all for asking to smell many fragrances, instead I was even suggested some all time favorites. If you’re looking for a new fragrance only ask for the employee Soul! He’s the best and not to mention extremelyyy educated on fragrances. He knows what he’s talking about.
I went to this location to make an exchange, it seemed bigger than other location and was well staffed with people seemingly everywhere available to help. The exchange couldnt have gone better, the associate was super friendly and understanding of the issue I was having with the product and made sure the new one didnt have the same issue. I just wish I got her name to call her out specifically because she was fantastic. I dont shop at Sephora often but will come here when I do knowing that there will be help when I am inevitably lost and unsure of what I am there to buy.
Love this location! Johanny was the absolute best and she helped with everything I needed. It was getting late, so I wanted to grab things in a rush— she was swift, knowledgeable about her products and had great energy! This is a good spot to go to if you’re ready to stop in and buy off the shelf. Fast and focused, I appreciate this store location for it’s hard work!
So amazing! We walked in expecting to be overlooked because it was so busy but we were pleasantly surprised! An employee immediately greeted us and asked if they could help. There was such a variety of options. Their prices were a little high, but it makes complete sense, this is high quality makeup. For the most part people use the try me brushes and utensils so its pretty clean. We asked for a mini makeover and only had to wait a minute or two. We met this amazing girl Taylor. She explained in a great way what she was doing and made sure we were understanding. A lot of people wanted mini makeovers so we moved over to the personal beauty advice area. Taylor was amazing, as was the rest of the staff. They had a skincare area where they would suggest a skin regimen but I didnt have time to check it out. Looked great. The store was amazing! 10/10. Going there next time Im in the area.
I was looking for something unusual and indeed it was all because of the manufacturer and industry’s razor and blade business model. But the girl who helped me was extremely helpful and friendly! Although I didn’t get what I wanted, this is definitely one of the best Sephora experiences I’ve had!
Far from a hole in the wall. Like every Sephora they have a large selection of cosmetics and plenty of staff to help guide you to what you need. GO EARLY... this place gets crowded very fast but overall a great place to shop. Also be ready to spend a pretty penny Sephora is expensive. 😩
I’ve been a loyal Sephora client for many years and I must say out of all the consultants I’ve ever encountered one of my favorites is Amanda in the skincare department. She will always give me her honest and educated opinion on all the products she recommends to me. She’s also such a sweetheart ! I’m surprised to read a nasty comment made about her on here.
Always so crowded, line is long and it’s impossible to expect any kind of customer service at this location. I had to ask three different staffs to get a sample of a foundation and all they said was to go to the Studio and ask whoever is there. Everybody at the Studio seemed busier(putting makeup on customers)than them and they were all just standing and chatting with their coworkers. I don’t know if it’s because there are lots of tourists in this area, but any Sephora in the city offers better service than here.
Best Sephora store I have ever been in. Huge variety of products and helpful staff to educate you on each one. Everyone I encountered was extremely nice and had knowledge of each product I was interested in and tips on how to use. Also enjoyed the sample products selected for me based on my purchases. Great staff and even better shopping experience.
I had the most incredible experience in Sephora with the beauty consultant, Marsha! I ran in to grab a cleanser and moisturizer and Marsha came right up to help me and was not only so kind but had incredible product knowledge and also a good eye for skin. She helped me find some fabulous products and then because I spent enough treated me to free facial. This facial was honestly better then most I have paid for! Marsha was incredibly caring during the procedure and gave me the best facial massage - truly the most amazing touch! I was also suffering from an awful sinus headache and afterward felt so much better. My whole experience was truly incredible due to her candor and genuine care while assessing my skin, helping me find fab products, and treating me to a luxurious facial that left me feeling rejuvenated! Thank you so much Marsha - Sephora is blessed to have you on their team!
I will go if I have time before work and I need to restock. Don’t go to this location if you’re looking for customer service. It’s always packed with crowds of tourists and none of the staff wants to help. They aren’t knowledgeable about new product or product lines. They point to a section rather than show you and help you with what you’re looking for. Never give samples and are always out of stock with products. I literally always have to ask for samples when there is a promo for samples with purchases
Our first day in SOHO for our vacation and we stopped by this store. Very excited to see products we dont normally see in San Antonio where I live.Love the display at the front of the store and just the variety of products. I had seen the Innisfree today for the first time and was intrigued that its from Korea. The sampler box is very reasonably priced at $18 for the Pore-clarifying mask, Hydrating serum and Firming Cream. Looking forward to trying these! The line seemed a bit long but then someone asked if were paying with a credit card and we were quickly taken cared of in a separate line.
Always helpful employees here. If something is out of stock on the shelves that I would like to purchase, someone always helps me find it in the back or in a storage shelf. Great selection of hair products here too, which I noticed not all Sephoras have an equal selection of. Cool nail polish part, too. And very convenient location.
I am from Toronto and am used to the best ppl from Sephora. Here the ppl at the Studio never cared about the customers. When I asked for a mini make up, one of the artists was very rude and loud. And they told me they don’t carry a particular brand which I found myself later. Don’t go in there if you have self respect and want to be treated, at least like a human.
Wish I could give 0 star. One of their staffs treated me with the most abusive and obviously RACIST attitude. I was repeatedly yelled at for absolutely no reason. The first time she came to me, I was looking at two different eyeliners in my hands. She suddenly yelled at me and asked if I was going to purchase them. She angrily ask me to pick one from the two, so I, getting more and more confused because of her yelling, randomly picked one just to avoid being yelled at. She rudely grabbed one of the two eyeliners from me and walked away. I was scared by what had just happened, but I tried not to think too much about it. I told myself there must be some mistakes. I spent 10 minutes looking at other stuffs, and then went back to find the eyeliner that she grabbed from me to continue comparing. When I finally made up my mind and was just about to leave for the cashier, this woman suddenly showed up again. She yelled at me once again, and her attitude was even more horrifying than the first time. I cant even imagine the most brutal cop would interrogate a suspect like this. She kept asking me which one was the eyeliner that I actually tried on my eyes, without listening to me or answering my questions why she treated me like this. I honestly told her that I wasnt sure because I had a look at quite a few different eyeliners. She kept yelling at me in front of many other staffs and customers as if I was a thief caught right on the spot. I didnt want to make a scene, so I just answered her bizarre question saying perhaps it was the one that she grabbed from me earlier. She rolled her eyes and yelled in a louder voice, NO YOU DIDNT TRY THAT ONE!!! ITS THE ONE THAT YOU KEPT!!! I couldnt understand her words. I wasnt so sure about my answer but I was pretty sure that I didnt try the one that I kept. Perhaps I was too shocked by her abusive treatment to realize that I didnt have to get involved in this stupid conversation with her and I should just walk away. I stood there, trying to talk to her respectfully and getting some respect from her, but his woman continued yelling that she was 100 percent sure because she was WATCHING me ALL THE TIME. I was totally shocked by this claim. Was she really saying that shes watching me all the time? Was she just publicly saying that she was doing a racial profiling thing on me, even after the ugly racial profiling scandal of Sephora just a few months ago? She angrily turned around and walked away. Not until then did I realize that another staff, tall and strong male, was following me and standing behind me all the time. Before he walked away together with that woman, he picked up one eyeliner that she claimed to have watched me trying on, rudely put into my hand, and told me to buy them both if you also want the one that you just picked.I was scared. I had never been treated like this in my life. Their bizarre rudeness made me almost believe that I did something wrong and I deserved to be treated like this.I guess this could happen to any person of color customer here. I had a look at all those one-star reviews of this location and a few other Sephora locations in Manhattan, and now I believe this is just in the culture of Sephora. Other than my ethnicity, I cant think of anything that could lead to this horrible experience. Im a lawyer. I do a good job and earn a good sum of money. I dressed well today. Im a quiet and shy one. I spoke to her in a polite manner until the end even she was yelling at and humiliating me for no valid reasons. It has to be my race, isnt it, Sephora?
Very well stocked, great selection. Its a little crowded - at all hours of the day, it seems. If you know what youre getting, then its an easy experience - in then out. If youre there for advice, then it gets a little harder. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes can be hard to get their attention bc there are so many patrons.
Poor customer service. The cashier left my change on the counter instead of handle it to me. They also said i am not able to redeem my birthday gift because they year just passed and they don’t have at all( i have been to many sephora stores to redeem my birthday gift though which is December 21). I do like sephora stores thought but this location they never been helpful
Friendliest and most helpful staff Ive encountered at any sephora location. I went in not knowing anything about filling in brows, one of the MUAs sat me down and filled out my brows for me step by step, explaining everything so that I would be able to do it myself. They came out great, full and totally natural looking! She got me the products I needed and I was out in 5 minutes. Great customer service and the staffs knowledge of the products and techniques are superb.
I feel like I buy the items here not because of the name brand, but because the people are so attentive. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and I couldnt tell if it was because they had to be because its their job or because they were all naturally like that. Great customer service = customers buying more and these people here at this chain store definitely got that locked down.
Went into Sephora tonight for a Mini Makeover for a foundation match. I came early with time to kill, so I looked around for hair products. I asked a representative to help me find some products but was somewhat shrugged away with very rushed answers. However, my foundation appointment was great! I had my appointment with Melissa — she was extremely friendly and took her time to truly find the best products for me (even helping me beyond foundation, with suggestions for bronzer, mascara, etc). I appreciate her thoroughness, and of course her perfect foundation match!
I love this store over the Times Square one even if Times Square store is open longer. They have a makeup forever pro section thats open to the public. If you want pro quality stuff from the special effects line or just the pro stuff makeup artists use then you should come here. The staff is always so helpful and will bring about a new you in no time. As always you can try stuff out before you buy with samples.
This is my favorite Sephora location in all of ny. The makeup artist are so sweet and the stage is never a mess. They always have events at this location, which is another reason to draw me back to them. Make up for ever Makeup artist Donna is so awesome. Always makes me feel more then just a transaction!
I normally dont write reviews, but I feel that its necessary this one time in hopes that someone from upper management at Sephora Soho will address their staffs level of professionalism. It is in my best interest that a training is administered on on behalf of the brands reputation for selling high quality products in a professional manner. Ive been a Sephora customer for over 10 years and Ive never had any issues with the staff at different locations. Ive been going to Sephora Soho for many years as well and its usually organized with welcoming staff. Over the years over the years many companies have hired young individuals to work for their companies in hopes that it would be good for company growth ( u know the young fresh face look ). It is unfortunate that these young individuals arent all inclined to work in some areas and be successful. Walking into Sephora Soho I noticed that the staff is rude and ignorant as well arrogant. The store was unorganized and messy. The staff was very talkative about their personal lives and what they were going to do later. They knew less about the products and more about what they use on their skin, without failing to realize everyone has a different skin type. Some of the makeup artists were fixing their makeup in the mirrors as appose to helping the clients. The people at the register paid less mind to the clients and their purchases, but managed to find interest in talking about their personal lives instead ( loud enough for all to hear ). They pass the clients around from one person to another. They talk about the clients from a far criticizing their clothes or how they put on makeup. I feel that this store has a lot to teach their staff about the Sephora experience.
I got a custom makeover yesterday at Sephora and I had a wonderful time! Yadira was my makeup artist and she was very nice, friendly, and accomodating. She did a beautiful job on my makeup and did exactly what I requested in terms of a makeup look. There was a miscommunication on my part; I brought in the gift card number for a complimentary makeup session when I was supposed to show them an email. However Yadira and her supervisor were kind enough to give me a complimentary makeup session, which Im very grateful for.
Busy busy beauty products store in SoHo.buying my colognes here bc this Sephora location is convenient to me and carries them all... YSL, Prada, & Chanel. the mens cologne selection is a small corner of the makeup mecca. there are several shelves and thats about it.the store is well organized. aisles upon aisles of beauty products. brightly lit. pretty clean for a store with high foot traffic. the vibe is very mod. theres a lot of staff here. and the cashiers are positioned in the back of the stores layouts.checkout lines are long, but they move quickly.the staff are quick and friendly/ish.drops mic cuz i am gassed on $$$ cologne
Horrible Make Up services. I waisted almost two hours while the girl was huffing and puffing scratching my eyelids out. I almost washed the “delux make up” she did right in the store. I can’t believe they have people who are not trained at all. It is my last time giving business to Sephora, unless they force people who work there as make up professionals to have online portfolios I ca review before booking them.
I love Sephora in general I usually go to the ones in midtown , however today I visited this location and I was very disappointed with how I got treated by Amanda. She kept Giving me attitude while I was asking for skincare products.Honestly she gave me very negative energy and I’m never getting back to this store again.
I love Sephora because theres so many selection. My favorite thing to do is the nail salon. They have a huge variety of selection and great brands too. The Dior goes for at least $24 a bottle and I get a free mani for myself :) They have nail studios set up for you to do your nails at your own pace. They also have great tutorials.
I went to Sephora today and was trying to find my right shade in foundation. Ashley helped me and was super nice, willing to answer all the questions i had and was very knowledgeable about makeup and skin care! I ended up going back and buyong the Nars illumating foundation she gave me a tester for the same day lol. Thanks for your help!
What more can you want than a store with a great personality. Everyone is helpful and the staff will give you a chance to try on makeup and perfume. They will even teach you how to apply makeup, help you try the nail polish and give samples of perfume. There is always a class and the item of the week to push. I came in to shop since OPI products were at a large reduction. Yes, its hard to find the quick nail drops.Instead I had a free mini special. They are also on Wrapp to get $6 off your purchase.become a VIP member and get a tote bag and start shopping-each $1 goes to points which are redeemed for more free swag. There is aBirthday special present so sign up today

2021-11-22Love the great deals Sephora offered especially on its own brand—Sephora makeup. It’s cool also that celebrities have their own makeup lines like Rhianna, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez.

2022-07-29They always crowded. On the floor mostly brand reps and freelancers who are trying to be nice and some of them are. The employees are 50/50 luck game, sometimes you get get super sweet person who will help you get your staff and sometimes there is this “supreme” human who can’t understand that you walk around trying to see the color of the foundation on your hand because the light is horrible and impossible to deal with when searching for a color match. And yes, I know what I’m doing, I did makeup for 10 years on models and private clients of all colors and now I do photography so my eye is trained to see color as it is. So after following me this employee stands right in front of Givenchy counter “cleaning” by the way the amount of missing or broken testers is insane, I mind my business just squeeze in to take the color of foundation, concealer and the powder, so by that time my total is over $100 and then I picked a couple more products, at the checkout I was over $200 and felt that’s I was mistreated because that guy never even tried to service me which is a part of a job description he sighed for and I know that because I had worked at Sephora before. So when you think someone is shady and you think they may want to still and they don’t ask you for help your job is to come up and check on that person. Not stand on the way of buying expensive product. I wish people could be happy at work and not be like that.Btw I love the foundation I got. So glad I didn’t care for that attitude from the employee.

2022-05-16I was looking for something and asked a staff. She just told me if I didn’t find it on the shelf, then they don’t have it. Quite rude and impatient. Didn’t bother to try to help me.I asked another staff and he was quite nice and helpful. I understand the store was packed with customers. Probably would avoid this location.

2022-05-14I wish I got this employees name because he was so great. I went in on Saturday May 14th and the Saie associate was sooo nice and helpful, this store gets 5 stars just because of him. He helped me out with picking out the perfect blush shade for me and was so excited to do so. His energy was amazing. If you’re reading this, THANK YOU

2022-07-22I had a horrible expierence here. First of all the store manager has a nasty attitude and definitely needs to be demoted . Someone else deserves that position . If you are misearable and dont like your job dont work there because youre just as ugly as your attitude.
