Its a Shake Shack. You cant go wrong.
This place is amazing, I have been going to shake shack since it opened in the city - so happy thats its on Long Island now. Never disappointed, there is no other place like it. The Shack sauce is amazing, custard is amazing, fries never soggy, burgers are amazing. I have a super sensitive stomach and can always handle shake shack. Such good memories and what a reward to always come here to get get fresh, amazing food.
Went here with some friends and we were very disappointed. The wait time was long, about 25 minutes, and food arrived cold. My friends chicken sandwich was sloppily thrown together and fell apart in her hands because the bun was soggy (see pic below). We spoke to the manager who was rude and indifferent towards us. I ordered a mushroom burger, and it was greasy and tasted a little off. The cookies and cream shake wasnt bad, but nothing great. The food did not seem worth it to me. A bit overpriced for what you would normally get.I just wasnt impressed with this place.Overpriced, long wait time, cold food. Its too bad because I really expected much better from Shake Shack. I dont understand why there are exorbitant wait times for this food. Youre better off going to a normal restaurant for a meal than here- same price but better food, better service and less waiting.
I will give you the str8 truth!In early 2000, I went to my first Shake Shack, in Brooklyn. I was disappointed. Close to 20 years l8r, I happened upon THIS ONE, on Rt. 110. My views changed, and I was very impressed, from food to service.But the BEST part of the experience, is this young lady, in the photo. Her name is Michelle. And she is a Darling of a worker. Though she doesnt have to, she caters to me & my son, upon every visit. She even remembers my name.Michelle TRULY intensifies the experience to a different level. And I must say, she is a TRUE, model worker. I pray she stays as long as the doctor allows me to eat burgers! 🍔 😋
I really like this place. This place difference from others because they have nice music all the time, clean restrooms and tables. The place is not very big that is why people are not talking very loud and you can spend there a few hours with good mood.The best part I like that they have can for recycle (they love nature).And now about the food.I am vegetarian and there for the first time I ate a burger with mushroom cutlet (smth new).Very delicious.For the drink I had time limited drink- pomegranate. SO so good. You definitely have to try!

Horrible dining experience. All they care about is the grubhub door dash Uber eats deliveries.. restaurant full of drivers crowding dining room and jeopardizing our food and our dine in experience. The police and fire marshall would shut them down due to overcrowding if they were here. Greed and no care for our healthcare
Ive been to the Shake Shack in New Hyde Park and tried different items on the menu, such as the burger and chicken sandwich and they are always good. Just good. Nothing spectacular. Over-priced if you ask me.I visited the new Shake Shack on 110 in Melville on Tuesday 3/20/18 and I ordered the ChickN Shack, Fries and a beer.There was something wrong with the chicken sandwich and I couldnt figure it out. The chicken inside was fine, but the fry batter on the outside was really dark, almost burnt. It didnt taste burnt, but it didnt taste right. Maybe the fryer oil was dirty or turned up too high. I wasnt happy with the sandwich.The french fries were good though, but theyre probably cooked in a different fryer.The Brooklyn Shack-Meister Ale was the best part of the meal!

Taste of the food was good, but presentation was subpar. Ordered a Shack burger on a lettuce wrap and it was so sloppily thrown together that when I picked it up the whole thing fell apart. I won’t be going back to this location.
Decent quality food but the prices arent worth it. They charged me $6 for a shake and $5 for a grilled cheese as round and thick as a CD case (I originally thought they forgot it since it was so light)
Service was good as well until I asked for a refill for lemonade. The girl I asked first what drink I had, and when I told her, she told me she couldn’t refill. When I was asked why, she said they don’t give refills. I questioned her since gotten a refill at another location locally, and she just looked at me like I was crazy and shrugged her shoulders. After looking online, I see refills are only offered for fountain drinks. She could’ve explained that to me vs. staring at me like I was crazy. I don’t frequent Shake Shack often, but I wouldn’t come back here. I’ll patronize other locations with better service.

I cant believe I spent over $14 for a small cheese burger with bacon and small milk shake. Tasted good but not worth that much. Was still hungry afterwards.I bumped up my rating because of the excellent customer service provided to me by both online and in restaurant employees.
The gentlemen at the counter was very nice. Whether its sunny out or raining good light comes in through these giant windows. Food also came quick.

The line moves very quickly.There is an app so you can order in advance and have your food waiting for you.The menu is simple - focusing on burgers, hot dogs, fries, and milk shakes.They also have chicken sandwiches if beef isnt your thing. The chicken shack is fried chicken with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo on a bun. Thats what I had and it was excellent!!And.. they have a chicken dog - which is actually chicken sausage (apple and sage) on a hot dog bun.Toppings include lettuce, tomato, pickles, mushrooms, BBQ sauce (and of course ketchup, mustard, and mayo).The fries are crinkle cut. Cooked perfectly golden brown and available with cheese on top.The shakes come in a variety of yummy flavors - including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, black & white, coffee & salted caramel.They have frozen custard - dense, rich, creamy ice cream made fresh throughout the day.They have a beer selection consisting of about 5 different micro brews.I think we have a new favorite lunch place!!! :-)

Saturday night at 8pm. Not overly crowded. Burgers are comparable to Burger Fi. Easy to see right off of Route 110 in Melville servicing Huntington and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Reasonably priced. Plenty of parking. Long lines but it moves quickly. We will definitely be going back.
This local burger 🍔 chain is always delish no matter if we are in Manhattan or Long Island. Burgers are the bomb, and newer sandwich line of chicken is better than Chick-fil-A. Also, have beer and wine on tap from local breweries and wineries. ShackMeister is my favs and is made by Brooklyn Brewing Co. just for Shake Shack.

I placed an order through their app and never received it. My card shows payment and they app confirms order. When the order did not come in, I clicked contact your service provider. Uber eats was at the end of that call and they told me to contact Shake Shack. In the app I spent a message because there was no customer service number listed. Then I looked up a customer service number on google and it was the wrong number. Almost forgot, I also called the location and had to leave a voice mail. At the end of this, I still paid for the food that I never received. Also have receipts and order info too
Never understood the hype around shake shack. Their shakes are good. Their burgers, while tasty always seemed on the small side to me. Especially for the price. I feel like youd be better served spending a bit more and going to a burger village or a bare burger where the burgers are larger with more toppings. Just my opinion.Its a decent meal and above fast food staples like mcd and burger king but just not my top choice.At least you dont feel too gross afterwards like a normal fast food burger will do.
Normally shake shack doesnt disappoint, however this experience was different. The food was good as always, the service did not meet the restaurants standard. After waiting 45 minutes to hear my name, I approached a young lady at the counter with my receipt . She look at it and handed to another young lady who I assumed was a manager or assistant manager. She called over someone that cooking and as it turns out the order didnt transfer to the folks doing the cooking. Had I not asked I may still be waiting. There was an apology but that was it. No offer a comp soft drink or fries which is, in my opinion the least that could have been offered...
Yummy food! I love the salted caramel shake (to die for) burgers are delicious and fresh!!! Option to get delivered tru Doordash and others, sit in or take out, you can order tru app and pick up as well.
Really good, sloppy burger! Also got some cheese fries that were tasty too! We were able to dine in, and our order was ready after about 10 minutes. Worth the wait, everything was correct. They were operating a busy pick up line too, so I was impressed.

Waited 20 min for our food, when it finally came out the burgers were cold. Also they forgot our drinks and gave us regular fries when we ordered cheese fries. With that aside the food was very good

Just ok. The service was great but the food.. All hype. The shake was standard and the burgers were sad patties of dry meat. I had the mushroom burger and it was more breading than mushroom. Wish they had just grilled a nicely marinated portabella mushroom. My teens had a burger and a cheeseburger they were dry and small for the price. They like Burger King better and Burger Fi MUCH better.

We went to Melville Shake Shack today, my daughter ordered a shack burger and French fries, there was hair in her hamburger and French fries. Very disgusting! We will never go back.
I waited 36 minutes after i ordered my food for a burger king quality burger, fries and a shake i could have made at home. Slow-fast food. Expensive for what you are getting.
My daughters and I are vegetarian and their shroom burger is so amazing its worth the 20 min drive from our house and my son likes the chicken sandwich. I can even get mine in a lettuce wrap for less calories. Great quality and easy pick up options. If you havent been there you should definitely go.

Waste. Never order ahead; app time is useless as food gets put out to either melt or get cold. Condescending and unkind staff there; employee with dyed red hair insisted closing routines an hour before closing took precedent, therefore any food made around the time or after my order was remade would be poor.
I had the Hot Honey Chicken burger and the chicken was ok. However, the vegetables on the burger weren’t crisp and very soggy. The shake that I ordered with the burger was not made well and too thick to even drink.
Had a single burger with the fixins. Fries and a chocolate shake. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich. We both thought the food was excellent quality for this kind of dinning. Added bonus, we were able to dine inside. We will come back in the near future
Fresh real meat burgers and yummy shakes. I suggest call ahead since its freshly made and busy. We got a double patty and 3 regular single patty burgers with toppings. I like the mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomato.

Worst service . Best word to describe is SLOW . Came here. Yesterday Sunday evening ordered online for pickup at 523pm and they didn’t even have my order ready literally waited over an hour for something I placed online . When I went to pick up as I was told from my text and email my food wasn’t ready ended up leaving at 630 out of shake shack for a an online pickup 30$ worth not even a big order . Wasn’t really packed or that’s what annoyed me more . I wish i could’ve got my money back because it just defeated my purpose of ordering online and me waiting inside for 45 mins
This is one of the coolest burger places I have ever been to. The food was absolutely wonderful and the service was speedy, polite and very helpful. Oh and the shakes were perfect, not too thick or thin and tasted great. I had a cookies&cream shake which unlike other C&C shakes Ive had the cookie pieces in the Shake Shack shake were small enough that they didnt clog the straw.Shake Shack for the win!!!
Did a curbside pickup and the food was still hot when I made it home (15 mins away).The burgers here are pretty good and the hotdog is also good as well and the chicken bites are good also. Would recommend and will try this place again.
Awful curbside pick up. Waited 15min past my pick up time. Only 1 other car picking up food. $50 food COMPLETELY cold. Do not want to wait another half hr for new food. So I will eat it. Will not be back though. If it this much of a problem at 1130am I can only imagine at 1pm or 5pm when theyre actually busy. No thanks
Great food. Wait was very long, Id recommend ordering your food before you go. Place was clean. Draft root beer was amazing. Somewhat expensive but its great quality!
What a rip off. Burgers taste good but cost a fortune. They are very disorganized there and l saw people arguing about their long waits. Shakes are good but be careful because they dont always fill them. No refills on soft drinks which is ridiculous. The food is decent for a fast food burger place but you dont get much value here. Lines can get crazy too.
I know some people think this place is overpriced, but I think what they offer is unique and delicious enough to justify the price. I loved the shake stack, much more than I expected to. The fried mushroom was absolutely perfect, juice but not watery, w the cheese oozing out a perfect amount and not tasting artificial. The chicken sandwich was okay, good and not dry, but not that flavorful. Fries were crispy and perfectly salted. Big parking lot. We only waited like five minutes for our order. Had outside and inside seating.
I have been going to shake shack since they opened in the city, and I’m sad to say the quality at this location is non existent. The burgers are always over cooked and skimpy and every time I use the app my order is never ready on time. I’ve tried several times to give this location my business and each time they fail from sone of the best burgers I’ve ever had (in the city) to some of the worst. It’s really about staff and who you have cooking the burger, you need to have people that take pride in their work.
Serive sucked I shouldnt get offended for wanted a burger, the foods usually good.... and so was the service;not today though....just not a good dining experience. 🙄
Im not from here, this was my first visit to shake shack. My feelings were very meh. I dont get the hype. Its expensive, and not very filling for the price. Its not much better, but just go to five guys a mile up the road. Get more for your money. They have better shakes, and burgers.

Very very long wait for pickup and yet the food was somehow ice cold when we finally got it. This place is just not worth the price nor the aggravation of actually going there. The staff at this particular location are slow and miserable. Every 6 months I go back hoping it will improve but it never does. Will not be returning.
My son ordered food on Saturday with his friends and he has been sick for a week with food poisoning. I called and spoke to a manager in the Melville, Long Island store who said there is nothing they can do and didnt offer any credit or future discount. Although I would probably never order from them again anyway, I was very disappointed with the response. Its also ridiculous when people have gotten gift cards for lesser offenses like waiting too long for their food.
My overall experience here was good. The burger itself was much bigger than I thought it would be and the beef is definitely the star here. The bun is very soft and doesnt really hold up to the beef inside the actual burger, but I like it and prefer the potato bun over a white bun. I also got the cheese fries which were good. The cheese sauce is actually good quality you dont get that chalky powdery taste, it taste fresh. I deducted them a star because I couldnt really taste the shack sauce at all not even sure if it was on there to be honest. But Id still go back because it was a good burger and the beef they use is good quality.
Very quick service even as they were very busy. I do like how the deliver the food to the table rather than crowding around the ordering area. I hope they continue doing that.
2 double cheese burgers one fry 2 shakes $37.60. Food was good. Shakes were good. Not great but good. I read previous reviews decided to check it out. Will not be back. For me the food does not justify the price. They give you a buzzer to sit and pick out your condiments while you wait. Okay experience in the glass enclosed fast food dinning area. The menu offers hot dogs and dessert as well as other burgers and chicken. Everything is alacarte. All In all not a bad experience and one I would recommend if money is no object.

My burger and fries were tasty, but this place is definitely overpriced for what you get. I feel the burger is way too small for the price you pay. I got Shake Shack Burger. Unfortunately I didnt get to the sauce what pepper spread until halfway through the burger. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. I have no real desire to go back simply because of what you get for your money. If I was on a diet, then maybe I would go back.
Maybe I missed something but the shroom burger that I got here was pretty hard. I didnt want to chance eating it since I was afraid of getting sick. My son loved the fries though.
Ive been addicted since I found out this place opened up. Delicious burgers and chicken sandwiches. The craft shakes are a bit too sweet (moreso than five guys for comparison) for my personal liking, and a bit pricey for the size, but thats the case with a lot of these sort of places these days. Great staff, clean environment, and even when it is busy the wait is not too bad. Beer and wine options as well, and the fries are amazing! Food is more filling than it may first appear; start small!
I have never been, it was yummy!I had the chicken sandwich , I know in a burger place? It was the most authentic , fried chicken sammie! Nice coating, not too crunchy, tasted hand dipped! The fries were fresh and hot! Service was quick and you could see everyone in back of house from the counter.They all looked like they genuinely liked working there!!
A nice chill spot for a really good burger! The fries are so crispy and they do not go over board on the salt. I highly recommend milk shakes always. Clean and welcoming staff. Great location. Thumbs up.
I would never waste my time to go to this shack shake location again. They closed the register at 7:00 pm when it’s suppose to be open until 9:00pm; the lady already takes my order, I pull out the cash then she says oh sorry I can’t accept that because the register is closed (when I look at the time it’s 7:00 pm). Very unprofessional, they were more worried about going home than serving customers. Definitely choose a different shake shack if you have to.

Friendly staff, great burgers, great shakes! I ordered 2 single cheeseburgers & a chocolate shake. It was awesome!!! I like that the burger meat isnt packed tight like a store bought burger. And the pickels & lettuce are always fresh. I cant drive by this place without stopping in and grabbing a burger & shake.
Tasty burger but mine was a little over cooked. The shakes are really creamy and delicious. Decent not great fries.. That all aside the prices are very reasonable so you shouldnt be too disappointed!! Enjoy!!

All the great Shake Shack food & drinks in a great location. Its big, with plenty of seating of several different styles, indoors and out doors. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick. All of our food was perfect. Its hard to compete on the rt. 110 corridor, but this Shake Shack will make it. You pay more than for other chain burgers, but once you taste your food, youll know why.
Just picked up my order from this location.ordered strawberry milkshake and got vanilla milkshake instead , no cheese for my cheese fries, I also asked for no salt but got salty fries.chicknbites are super salty and over fried(not golden brown as usual), burgers don’t look and taste the same, not juicy just salty... impact of covid 19? No supervisor on site or what?

Food is good like Shake Shack has, seating is limited because of COVID as expected, friendly smiles from the staff.The bad part was the wait, near/ over half an hour for two sandwiches, chicken bites, and a large drink. Then we got a hot dog, took over half an hour for that too. By the time we got the got the hot dog our group already finished all the food and was waiting on ONE HOT DOG. And there were more people waiting around for their food posing a COVID risk that the limited spacing seating was pointless.
People who work there are great. Very nice service.Food is pure grease. Not sure how we all keep buying this kind of garbage.It’s not cheap either for this type of food.Not happy but it seems it is what it is with these burger chains nowadays.

Great burgers and absolutely incredible shakes! I love the chocolate shake! They have a great selection of burgers. But on a whim I tried the hotdog. I think I made a mistake. It wasnt so good. Kind of boring and tasteless. They have a nice outside area to eat your meal. It is on a very busy street however. Out of the other burger places nearby this one is my favorite. They have lots of parking a plenty of tables.
My burger had a very weird taste. I think the meat was rotten. Horrible experience at this location. Drink cup was 70% filled with ice and fries were cold. Their workers dont clean the tables. Manager is not on site to listen to your complaint. Horrible dining experience.
Portions are a bit small for my liking but burgers are amazing, chicken nuggets are really small but really good. Fries are great. Shakes are amazing. Can get overcrowded very quick but other than that very great place to eat.

The burger was mediocre, nothing that great to talk about. Ive had better 5 you add the rest. My wife said the salted caramel shake was outstanding fries ok. Had the chicken bites, theyre good, but probably wont go back. For 30 bucks I expected more, sorry.

Clean, fast and delicious! We went on a Sunday and although it was crowded we received our food fast. They messed up on our order (we ordered 2 regular hot dogs and we received one Shack-cago dog and they provided us with great customer service. She even went out of her way to see how we were doing.
Staff was extremely rude & taking forever. I had to ask several times how much longer because a lunch break is only 30 minutes. After finally getting my burger I ate it, immediately felt sick, and now that I am home I am throwing up puke. I can not say whether my food was tampered with or not but I have eaten at this establishment numerous times without this issue.
Absolutely disgusted by this place! We ordered 5 fries and we got home and looked in our bag and there were only 4 and we were charged for 5 (as indicated on the receipt)! We live a half-hour away, so it’s unreasonable to drive all the way back there now! I attempted to call them, but you can’t get a hold of them. Im terribly disgusted of the irresponsibility of the employees here... I will be emailing corporate! DONT COME HERE IF EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE FOOD YOU ACTUALLY PAY FOR!!!!
First time trying the shack burger very good best burger I had.The barbecue sauce great taste.and the good service as well.French fries too crispy can not taste the flavor of the potatoe.Over all great taste.
Food is excellent. Staff friendly. I gave it a 3 because they need to keep the wastebasket clean. Somebody needs to be assigned to check on this. Also they should make sure the floor in the kitchen is clean. If a person behind the counter is coughing alot they should be sent home so as not to contaminate the food.
Alot of money and hype for a mediocre experience at best. The burger was good but served in a greasy paper sack. My burger had minimal sauce and cherry peppers and the bacon was burnt. The fries were good and my chocolate shake was very good.
This was my first time at a Shake Shack. It was fantastic! The staff was friendly and upbeat. We were served rather quickly and it was over lunch. They use our rolls (Martins). Yummy! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
I appreciate theyre trying but they had a tiny tent to wait under while it was raining and they werent enforcing social distancing under it. And while I totally do not mind that it took a bit from the time they said itd be ready on the app, I think my food must have been waiting for as long as I was cuz when i snuck a fry they were cold. When i got home 10 mintues later it was so cold the cheese in my shroom burger congealed into a weird textured glob. :( It was just a real bummer, I usually like them I just dont think they do takeout well under these circumstances.
This location is straight up killing it. Had better meals here than the last Manhattan location I visited. Only tiny nit pick was the lady serving my group of friends needs to articulate her words better. Simply couldnt understand half of what she said. No loss of star for the humor it brought us...and ya know....the food and service was amazing
Best burgers around in my opinion. Love the cheese fries and shakes too. Highly recommend ordering with the app then the food is ready when you get there. Love this place
Great burgers chased down with a pitcher of great beer. The decor is modern, customer base extremely mixed, customer service was great. All in all of your looking for a place to grab a bite and a drink and not be at a bar this is the place.
You know, I think this place is just ok. The shakes are very good, but not outstanding. The fries are unique, but not outstanding. The burger fine, but not outstanding. With so many other options, I dont think this would be a regular place for me. I live out of town and stopped in for the novelty of trying on a recent business trip.
So youve had one burger youve had them all. But this was a really juicy burger. I ordered mine with no bun and ate it between 2 lettuce leaves. Omg. Seasoned well. Im just kind of annoyed there isnt a grilled chicken option. Oh well. Nice outside seating area and inside but the air conditioning was too freezing.
Amazing! We came in from Toronto. Heard about the hype about this place and the hype is right! Amazing food. The shakes are unreal! Good service. At one point during our meal not sure if it was a staffer or a manager came by to check on us to see how everything was. Nice touch. When we are back in the summer you can bet that we are comming back!
Best burger and fries for a fast food joint!! Always a juicy, flavorful burger. I get the Smoke Shack! My daughter like to dunk her fries in the shake. Not my cup of tea, but she goes crazy for it. The fries are the best! Shake Shack!!
Was going to give 1 star until Malaney who is training to be a manager helped make it right. I ordered chicken littles for my son who is 2. After his first bite he started tearing and refused to eat anymore. Afterward I realized the chicken they gave me was spicy! The manager who took the order was unapologetic. After waiting at the counter for a new order (and while my own food was getting cold), Malaney offered to bring the chicken outside to me when it was ready. She also felt really bad for my son and hooked us up with free shakes for the debacle. She def helped turn around an unfortunate situation !
Staff gave me the wrong beer then yanked it out of my hand while i was drinking it. It seems like they are unsupervised. The place was dirty and staff was standing around talking. It was an off hour and not busy. Definitely the worst Shake Shack location Ive been too. Will not be returning.
The service is a little slow and theres some irregularities to how some customers get their food. But like almost every other Shake Shack, the food is incredible.
Fast food plus....the plus is flavor. Unlike many other fast food burgers where theres special sauce, a myriad of condiments, the meat is the star here.Fresh meat cooked to order so your burger is served from grill to you, no boxed burgers that are left to steam in their own heat or boosted by heat lamps...fresh.Sure you can add stuff to your burger, but try it plain the first time. You can actually taste the difference.

Shake shack gets a lot of hype but imo they are just an ok hamburger chain. This location is very new, clean, and well appointed, definitely a step up from fast food but on par cost wise with better options in the area. If your pressed for time and want something better than McDonalds but not full dining its a decent choice.
The manager was around and she was willing to go around and speak to customers the dining area. And we informed her that a portion of our food was overcooked, she kindly apologized and offered us a gift card. That kind of hospitality and graciousness is appreciated even in a casual / fast food restaurant.
Terrible experience! Terrible! I ordered my food, I arrived once I received a text that my order was ready, when I arrived they asked for my first and last name, I pulled over to the side in the parking lot that they asked me to. 30 minutes go by with two different men asking for a reminder of my name, I politely reminded them, another 20 mins go by. I pull one of the men to the side to ask what was taking so long, and he replied I can’t find your order and didn’t really care to try to fix the problem, in a snarky tone he felt as if I was lying about placing an order because I did not receive an email from Shake Shack, I showed him my confirmation number and said he couldn’t do anything with it!!! I another 10 mins go by of them so called trying to “fix” the issue, another 10 mins go by and he comes back to the car saying “sorry your order will be out in 5 mins” so clearly my order was placed right because he didn’t even ask what did I order??? No REAL apology, no discount, nothing! Customer service sucked here!! Only if I had the time to fight for a full refund and more!!
Great shakes and burgers
Nice place, got my order wrong. Ordered a regular hamburger and got a cheeseburger. Burgers are a little greasy. Fries are crisp but not the most flavorful. Very goos shakes. Nice area to sit outside. Clean
I arrived in town late and was looking for a quick meal. A chicken sandwich and a small crinkle fries with a lemonade fit the bill. The staff was attentive. The seating area was cleanPlenty of parking!
Good old American classic food. Made as up to Shake Shack standards (pretty dam good). The bathrooms smell like a petting zoo and need some attention, especially for a brand new place. When the door is opened you can smell it from accross the building.
I love hamburgers, but these are just glorified Mc D. Limited selection, over cooked, crusty edge burgers, and the fries were barely ok. I guess if you want to bring your kids, its someplace to go for NO frills , basic burger. I gave this place several chances, because my friends seem to talk it up, but for my money id rather go down the block to McDonalds, or better yet Zinburger, for better choices and better drinks. I cant believe all the hype this place got!
The burger was juicy and delicious. The chicken bites were tender and flavorful. I dont know who mixed the strawberry lemonade but that drink was on point.
After all the hype about this place it was a complete let down. The burgers were lousy especially the mushroom thing they put on it. The fries lousy as well. The shake was ok at best. It tasted like a fake ice cream shake.I am not going back ever.
Went to the Melville location once to try a shake. Made to perfection, was the greatest milkshake I had ever had. Have been back there at least 10 times since, order same exact thing every time. Has not once came back correct. They have screwed it up everytime. I dont understand how todays youth possess the attention span of knats. How do you have one job, to listen to what I order and push buttons on a screen corresponding with what I order. Or your job is to read a screen and make whats on it. Last time there, I stood at the counter for at least 7-8 minutes waiting to place my order while 4 separate employees gossiped with one another and ignored me. One of the cooks actually came up to the counter to greet a friend that walked in and proceeded to bs with him all while I was still waiting to order. Unbelievable. Worst service Ive ever experienced. I weep for our future.
Instead of waiting on the long walk in line I decided to sit and use the app to order. Said be ready in 7 minutes. Waited 25 minutes until my food was ready. The rude cashier gave me an attitude said walk In customers get served first before app orders regardless of time. Really shake shack so whats the point of the app to beat the line
Good food, quick and kind service. Their pick up and delivery methods are just not as good as other companies who have managed to overcome the new method of takeout due to covid.
Sorry, but not for me, ( or my husband ) VERY pricy. The food was ok I guess at the time I was eating it, however my stomach disagrees. Im lucky I made it home then spent the rest of the night in one bathroom while my husband suffered in the other..( sorry but I feel I should be totally honest ).. I was shocked that a place called Shake Shack only had 4 different flavors of shakes to choose from. I ordered the coffee shake and I didnt like it at all, and I Love coffee everything! This is only my opinion.. give it a try and decide for yourself. As for my husband and I, we wont be going back. ( We went to the Huntington location on RT 110 ).
Long line that went by rather quickly so dont avoid the place because of the line. Food was similar to other shake shacks which is good and bad. We love the flavor but long for more variety and a larger selection. Overall a great burger place and a great ambiance.
Went to see what all hype is, nothing short of a nothing burger here. $31.00 for a single with bacon, chicken sandwich 2 small fries and a shake with small ice tea.. kids would have ate kings at any other fast food chain
Awesome experience at the Shake Shack on Route 110 in Melville! Was in from out of town and needed to find a late night meal. Arrived at 9:55 pm just 5 minutes before closing, but was greeted by a friendly staff who gave me a great meal! Definitely coming to this location again!
Very very slow. Employees huddling around looking lost. Only one register open on a busy day. Food good once I actually got to eat it.
Restaurant was very clean. Staff was very efficient and polite. My only complaint is the price was much too high, for a burger and fries that didnt taste any better than something I could have gotten at McDonalds for 1/2 the price.
Been a favorite of mine for a while now. Their shackcagodog is the closest you can get to Chicago style while living in NY. This location is very large, with outside seating for the warmer months. It gets very busy on the weekend even ordering online for pickup we still had to wait for our order after it said it was ready . The smoke shack is my go to order if I’m getting a burger. The chickN shack is my other favorite but this location compared to NYC gives you a much smaller piece of chicken leaving me feeling unsatisfied.

Noticed the sauces given to my bf were expired, he sad it tasted funny so he proceeded to look for the expiration date. Kindly pointed it out to employee and just asked for a different sauce. Manager then comes out and rudely starts telling us we are reading the date wrong and show us another sauce, which also had an expired date and we just said okay but decided against taking the sauce. We didnt say a word and just left it on counter and returned to finish our meal. Manager then comes out again to our table and shows us a box of sauces, which 4 of these sauces fell on the floor and hit us on the way down. Meanwhile we hadnt said a rude word to him or had kept complaining, all we asked for was a sauce packet that wasnt expired. Extremely unprofessional manager and even though the burger was delicious we will not be returning to this unprofessional location which attacks customers that nicely ask for unexpired sauce
Better than McDonalds (which I love) in my opinion but also serves beer and wine.
Food is always good but could do better on timing for app orders. Approx 10-15 minutes late. It hurts when the order is late and also wrong😊

Went to get 2 shakes..waited forever because the young people there didnt want to work but talk about their personal life. Found something that fell in one of the shakes and went back in for another one. They all made jokes about finding an object in my shake. Finally got a new one. Was not worth the aggravation

I enjoyed the food here and the atmosphere is comfortable. The service was fast and my burger and fries tasted great. My only gripe is the food is a bit pricey when compared against similar burger places.
They lie about your order being ready. I had to wait 30 minutes for the order that was ordered online before I arrived.Wendys is better and cheaper.

Delicious, juicy and satisfying. My new favorite burger place. Their Mint Cookies and Cream shake is scrumptious. And, they even have something for the fur babies.

Horrible, the to go shake was over stuffed and when I got to my car to place it in the cup holder the top popped off and chocolate shake poured down in between my seats. When I went back in to speak with the manager he said it was my fault because I didnt handle the cup properly. Can you imagine being so insensitive to this situation. Not a great way to handle a bad situation. I would have expected more

Im not quite sure what all the WoW is about surrounding Shake Shack. I mean, the milkshakes are okay and the burgers are pretty good but I think theyre just riding the wave from this internet camera Union Square thing that became like an internet meme. I could easily just go to BurgerFi or Smashburger, I wouldnt miss Shake Shack really. Honestly I think their stuffs a little greasy. And I could do without their fries Id much rather the shoe strings with the garlic aioli. Please enjoy your meal, regardless, Im just a picky person. LOLOL.
Waaay over rated!! Burgers are way to small for the price. Equal to a Burger King single in size. Fries had a taste like Capn Crunch. Better of going to Smash burgers or 5 Guys for real burgers.

Best hamburgers from any chain restaurant hands down. The angus burger patty is nicely seasoned and juicy and they use Arnolds potato buns which is what I would buy if I was making a sandwich or burger. Whole leaf green leaf lettuce and thick slices of tomatoes are always fresh. Burgers are a little small but I find the price to be fair. Last visit here I tried the chicken sandwich to compare to Chik Fil-a. While the chicken is smaller (thinner) the outside breading is very crispy (not crunchy like KFC or soft like Chik-Fil-a) which I found to be more satisfying.

Ehm came here throughout the summer on the way to the beach and its eh...well its usually busy but the food itself is...a 3 out of 5, maybe even a 2.5 just cmon shake shack, more locations in the past few years parallel to the more slacking on their macking of the food.

It was a clean, cool place and our orders which were not simple because of a food allergy and a picky eater came out perfectly. The wait for our food was a little longer than expected. Perfection takes time.
Went on a Saturday night, 6pm with the wife and 3 kids under 3.... something to eat for everyone, plenty of seating, and the food was off the charts... my first Shake Shack experience was tremendous
I placed an order at 10:52am for pick up at 11:15am. Not only did I have to wait for almost an hour 11:40am to receive my order. Also I watched customers order while I was standing there and receive there orders before I did. The customer service was terrible

Smoke burger, fries and vanilla shake hit the spot. Smoke burger was great with a little tingle from the sauce. Fries were crispy. Vanilla shake was also on target for my sweet tooth.
This particular location has a lot of really young people working there. Theres a bit of chaos behind the counter that can be seen and heard when ordering and waiting for food. The wait time was longer than usual and service was not consistent with other shake shacks. I was thinking, wheres the adult supervisor here?, while waiting for my order.

I really dont understand why people like this place so much. The food isnt great, the service is terrible, and there are lines. Last time we went there, we all got mild food poisoning. I would rather go to the one in Garden City - the one in Melville doesnt even seem like it is from the same company.
Cashier gave excellent service and was super helpful. On the other hand, when asked, the manger on duty couldnt be bothered with a poochini order, nor offered any other option.
Had a fantastic experience here with my daughter. The food was served quickly and the service is just good. Prices are reasonable.

If you thinking about applying to work at this Shake Shack please dont I refer you to apply to Dairy Queen around the block I heard the managers treat u nicer. You actually go on break when ur suppose too instead of having a 7hr shift and they forgot your break so they let you go home at 6:30 when your supposed to leave at 7. Make sure if you do apply to be on their good side so they dont write you up for taking off because you had to go to the hospital and file a police report. Be on time because ur general manager josh will write u up for being a minute late mean while he was an hour late and had 3 delivery trucks waiting for him. Oh and if you are on their bad side make sure while your in your bathroom your manager and shift manager isnt talking bad about you not knowing you can hear them. They all are childish and petty if this is the place for you apply here. Welcome to shake shack!

I’m so disappointed by the fact that I went to this place called SHAKE shack and they had literally no shake options. What kind of a joke is this? It’s like how Greenland is icy and Iceland is green. It was just to trick the Vikings. JUST TO TRICK THE VIKINGS. They are them and i am just a poor young Viking who has been fooled. I expect more shakes soon.

2022-01-03Pre-corona virus review. Ive been to a bunch of Shake Shack locations in the LI area but the Melville one is one of my favorites. Of course the menu is what everyone knows it to be, and the food here is consistently good just like other locations.I do like this one since the seating area is pretty large, its clean and I like the large parking lot. They get the food out pretty quickly. Never had any complaints so I guess Im lucky since there seems to be some subpar reviews of this location. Hey, it sure beats McDonalds, right?

2021-12-26Unfortunately I believe the hot dog i ordered for my five year old son was purposefully burned because they didn’t agree with our constitutionally right to breathe fresh air, and inability to tolerate a mask. I hope that this wasn’t a retaliation move however we have orders hot dogs from there in the past and this has never happened

2022-03-19Well the food was good, but we did not get the hot dog we ordered and instead got… someone else’s leftover chicken bites?? We got a very greasy box that had clearly already been handled with 4 chicken bites in it and they only come in 6 or 10, so… very grossed out.

2019-10-26Came here in the middle of a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to see that all everyone was being served in a very timely fashion. This is your typical Shake shack experience, quick service, tasty food, and pretty easy to get to as well and located near two relatively big malls. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone in the area looking for a quick bite. Added bonus that there is also sitting inside and outside and the bathrooms were particularly clean when I use them.Edit: we did wait a while for the food but I was distracted cause I was watching a game but in reality we waited close to 15 minutes for the food. Not a big issue if you’re staying to eat.

2022-05-24The employees here don’t even look like they’re working. All fun and games. That’s probably why they lost my friend’s order ticket and made us wait over 30 min for a to-go meal they didn’t even realize was missing. After we inquired about the order and said we’ve been waiting a long time, they were super nonchalant about losing the order. They could’ve offered compensation to make up for their shortcomings but they honestly didn’t seem to care at all. Disappointed and won’t be coming back.

2021-03-08I’m a fan of shake shack burgers but yesterday I was disappointed. I did curbside pickup and when I got my food it was cold I still took a bite into it cause I’m hungry and pregnant when I got more into the burger I noticed it was red. I never knew “WELL DONE” meant red meat never again!

2022-05-24Took 35 minutes to get my food in an empty restaurant because they lost my ticket. When I asked about the food, workers laughed about how they lost the order rather than apologizing or offering any remedies for the situation. When I received the food, it wasn’t even hot. Won’t be coming back to this location.
