A happening place. Food quality abs consistency has only gone up.Good to see staff happy at their jobs. Shout out to you Randy!!!Visited by many college kids. Good vibes. Good all around.
We went around 3pm on a Thursday and it was packed. Our order was taken and the staff was unprofessional. Service was like waffle house or something. Food was left on counter to be picked up but staff did not indicate whose food it was. Food was okay but service could be better.
I ate inside having order the shrooms, the fries and the lemonade and they were pretty good. The shrooms is a vegetarian dish made with mushrooms and filled with cheese. The local kept things clean and tidy and sanitize the tables when eating there. Great place and they follow social distancing as well.
My first Shake Shack visit was very disappointing. The place is apparently worn and looks filthy. The patio area is good for outdoor dining, but there is a lot of trash on the group, and the tables (including inside) look they are never cleaned. The staff look exhausted and nobody smiles. I told the cashier that I am excited to try the famous Shake Shack meal, and the guy showed no emotion and asked me if I wanted to add a tip … sure… but the burger was below average. The milk shake tasted sugary and not creamy. The so called curly fries were the ones you can find from a Chinese takeout place, thick and greasy but at least they are not dark (a sign of the oil being over-used). Again, many people like Shake Shack, but I believe many would also agree with me.
Had a regular burger with cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato, it was juicy and delicious, the best burger I ever had. Crinkle cut fries were perfect too, crispy and soft inside, great lunch
I’ve visited this Shake Shack location numerous times. Before you can enter to place your order, a representative is at the door to take your temperature. Sometimes you are able to place your order and pay at the door with a representative so all to do is wait for your order. They serve burgers, fries, chicken, hotdogs, milkshakes, frozen custards, beer, wine, etc. I wish they would add sauerkraut to their menu to go along with the hotdogs. I feel like this location is a hit or miss, they have their good days where your order is perfect and others where you just shake your head. I always asked them to make sure my burger is extra well as I can’t stand the smell or taste of raw meat. There’s been several times I bit into my burger and it wasn’t well done. There are stickers on the floor to allow the customers to be able to social distance while waiting for their order. There are tables and chair located inside and outside of the restaurant for customers to use however be mindful limited seating due to COVID. There are also restrooms located at this location. They accept cash or card and the staff are very hospitable.
I love food. I had bad feelings about this as multiple said “it wasn’t that good” or “McDonald’s is better than this” But after eating here I noticed the price not being high and my full stomach of amazing food. I got the Classic Burger, and The 10 pc nuggets.Eat here to save money.
Eh. Its ok (the burger) nothing special. Definitely better than a fast-food place like mcdonalds/Wendys etc but otherwise thats about it. Probably wouldnt go back unless I was starving and there wasnt a 5 guys near by. The fries sucked.

Hamburgers are great. Buffalo chucken sandwich is good, price wise you can do better. Bathroom was dirty, but stocked with plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

The food is always amazing. But this location is lacks on the clean up and its outdoor eating area get is used by other folks who bring outside food eat and crash. It could have been that they were understaffed as they looked busy and were conducting interviews in the back. But the food is always on point.
Honestly cant go wrong with a good shake shack burger and fries. Its always busy but I dont mind the wait . With a dinning area outside for the time just ties it all together.

I visited this location twice. Its not a huge place but space is pretty decent on the inside. They have an outdoor seating area that seems like a courtyard so during great weather you can eat outdoors if youd like. At time this place does get busy and the staff is pretty straight forward in helping you, taking orders, and serving you your food at the pick-up counter. Drinks and condements are self serve like in most fast food places. Wait time to recieve food was not bad at all during both my visits and food can be warm or cold if you dont respond quickly to your buzzing device as it sits on the counter waiting for you to arrive and pick-up. The food was good during both visits and the place is clean and organized, there are Restrooms and a handicap accessible entry, but no Parking area. Id definitely comeback to this location. I liked my burger but it took a VERY LONG TIME to be prepared. I had to ask about my order and still waited some more for it to be finished
There is only one woman fulfilling the online orders late at night with 20+ drivers waiting and ready to pick up the orders. Moreover, when you ask her for help, she’d give you attitude. I then, asked another employee for help and they didnt want to help me because they werent doing the online orders. Come on Shake Shake. Do better; be better.Update: Service is a hit or miss. Today a skinny gug with glasses dropped my order to the floor, and I asked him to remake the order. He flat out told me: No. Look, if you cant handle the position talk to management and they’ll figure out a better place to put you in.He also, got upset when I asked him for an order that was sitting on the counter ready to go. He told me and I quote: “You came last, you have to wait.” What am I waiting for? If the order is sitting on the counter ready to go.Look, it’s not fair for the drivers and the customers who ordered the food through a delivery app.Shake shack, do better!

Delicious hamburgers and I am pretty sure these are the best crinkle fries I have tasted! Crisp and golden brown perfection. They would have been next level if I had some Utah fry sauce. Staff was pleasant and energetic! If you are by the train stop next door make sure to drop by.
Just love these burgers. I visited this store 2 times and It was always full. My favourite its chips with bacon and cheese. So good. Its a cheap place to have lunch in New York.
So we ordered through the app. Only to arrive and hear that someone took our order when the person turned around at the door. Really not a good excuse since people should be checked and someone just went in and took random bag of food. Took a while to get replacement. Reordering the whole thing for a big family. Barely and apology for all that hassle. Tasted good but the point was to go in and out without hanging around people.
Shakeshacks upper east side location is a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat. The only issue is, its usually not quick. We were lucky enough to order earlier via their app and have our food prepared beforehand, which allowed us to skip the line and go straight to pick up the order. The store itself is pretty big from the outside and has outdoor seating as well as indoor booth and cafeteria style table seating. It can get very crowded at times but if youre able to get your order in and find a seat, the experience is more than worth it.
Always love their chicken burger. Tried the mushroom burger as well, it had a very good mushroom flavor but had a lot of cheese stuffed inside. You can dine indoors if you show proof of vaccination. Expect a bit of a wait for your food as they are often very busy.
Pretty decent place. Nothing rave about. Super overrated & over priced. Super big fan of the crinkle fries, can’t find those just anywhere anymore. Overfall the food is pretty similar to Smash Burger, with Smash Burger being the better option
First time here n it was worth the wait. They had a long line but it went quick. Make sure u ask for what is new they constantly add something new to the menu. Food is delicious n the staff is awesome.
A little different from other Shake Shack locations with this one giving an underground feeling. Food was good as always and I was happy to see the cookies n creme milkshake back on the menu.
Great cheeseburger and great chicken burger. The chicken bites were also crispy and succulent. The honey and mustard dip was also excellent as was the cookies and cream milkshake. Its a shame the London UK branches arent as good as the US ones.
This is a chicken sandwich review. Got the chicken shack. Been eating a lot of chicken lately. This was sub par chicken. However, this is also a freshly made sandwich from a chain. The herb mayo was ok but nothing risky. Will prob stick to the shack burgers.
I ordered the shack burger, smokeshack burger and an order of fries for two people. The portion was really good and overall the smokeshack burger was really tasty. I ordered through the Shake Shack app and I realized that I could add Cherry Peppers to the shack burger, which adds a lot more flavor and I would recommend it. The fries were really good and crispy.Considering it was really busy, then quality of the meal was great.
Im a local so ive been here a bunch of times. Id recommend looking at other places for lunch because this location is just really popular around that time. Shake shack and chick fil a around the corner are i think the two longest wait lines. During dinner hour shake shack isnt as bad, and on the weekend its just fine. There isnt outdoor seating but there is seating nearby and plenty of indoor seating (depends on covid and when youre reading this) but otherwise id plan on eating this at home hopefully nearby so its still warm!
As great of a burger as you could ever hope for from a fast food joint. Im not a big fan of crinkle cut fries but these are crispy with just the right amount of salt.The service was great and the turn around on orders was quite fast when we were there despite it being busy.
In addition to the amazing offerings Shake Shake has given -- sloppy burgers, craft beers ... peanut butter shakes (sociallu conscious, mind you) -- all the way down to Boca Raton, FL, its serving and tending of the public space adjacent to this location is, exactly, what makes NYC the place to be.
It can get crowded here as in any Shake Shack. It took about 10 minutes to complete my order of 2 burgers and fries. The quality of the offering remain consistently good.

Paid $13 for a burger and fries but they were great and pretty fast despite a ton of people being here. Interior is a bit small for how many people come but theres outdoor seating as well
This spot is number #1 in my list for food poisoning. Ive gotten sick here more times then anywhere else. Dont ask them to cook the burgers more... Because company policy is to get you really sick.

A pleasurly experience in service and food. Reasonable price for a magnificent meal. Even with the crowded building, all staff members were quite efficient. Classy setting on a nice day you are able to sit outside in a peaceful oasis of such.
From the entry to the seating my family and I was geared by the A.G.M she was very polite and took care of us promptly my food was hot and order was correct came out fast food was visually appealing as well as very tasteful will recommend this location on upper east side 86 street to anyone

Whomever was working the delivery line/mobile orders today 1/3/2021 at 1pm deserves a raise and a promotion.The mobile app selected a location that was not on 86th Street. I placed my order without noticing this. The young lady was able to prep my order nonetheless.Crisis with kids averted.

The milkshake was good, but everything else was mediocre at best. The burgers were good but nothing close to remarkable like other burger joints. The fries were frankly not great , and it probably wasnt worth it to go. There is a decently long wait, from the standpoint of fastfood, and I would say that it would be better to get a burger meal at somewhere like Five Guys. Finally, the tables were filthy as was the restroom.

Theyre just mad because they stay trapped inside all day for 15 dollars an hour and us delivery folk get like double that amount and dont have to put up with anyones attitude problems hahahahaha they act like theyre spending 14 hours on a bike in 20 degrees weather. They act like they cant wait to get their shift over so meanwhile im living out here getting this money cuz my shift aint never over babaaaaayyyy! Stay motivated! Dont be loser and work in fast food! Deliver the food with one of the many apps and be free and make double!!!
It was okay, there was no ranch and no parmasean on my Black Truffle fries 😢.My chicken bites were super small 😫 but customer service was great. 86st needs to get on board with the other stores in the shake shack chain. 🙄
Second Tuesday of the month is Shack Track. Run 3-5mi and first beer is on them. If you wear their shirt, you can get a free custard. Great outdoor section to eat and hang out. The staffs are great and service is fast! One of the best places to grab a burger and shake!

Normally this place is pretty good and my only complaint is the long wait to order my food and the longer wait to get it. This time, however, it wasnt busy and took even longer than normal to get our food and when we got it, it was wrong and one of our burgers was missing! For dessert, I ordered their normally delicious chocolate custard (a small custard costs over $5 now!), but tonight the custard was freezer-burned and nasty. It didnt help much to see the staff cleaning surfaces with dirty water in a pail and using the same gloves to serve food!! Gross!! Ill never go back at night.After being encouraged by Shake Shack customer service, I went back last night (4-May-22) to try them again. Im sorry to report that our food was cold and not made as requested -- not to mention both of us got stomach cramps and the runs after eating there. No more Shake Shack for me I guess. Too bad they have failed so bad -- maybe Culvers will move into this market some day, until then, its BurgerFi for me. Sad.

SmokeShack Burger and crinkle fries are amazing. Frozen custard is a must try. Place can be very busy. Order it to go and scope out a table as you are waiting.

They are really trying to do what they can during this time. There are very limited tables available in the outside covered space. There were only about 3 tables available due to snow melting and wetting the other tables.The food is good as always. Shakes, fries, burgers oh my!There is a little bit of confusion when picking up your food. Get the app and save yourself some time. Even with ordering ahead prepare to wait. Bathrooms were available to customers. The company can probably benefit from a process improvement consultation on how to organize pick up and delivery but again the store was trying their best. No eat in due to covid. You can eat outside by the corner. The one at 7ave at times square is better and you can eat in. Burgers are small and pricey.

The employees here seem to not be happy with their job. Customer service is a downer. They’re not very friendly and they throw you your bag instead of passing it to you in your hands. They should probably send them to train at Chic Fil A. The quality of the food has gone down as well. I don’t plan to come here again.I’ll update my previous review. I missed shake shack and their burgers which were good when I first began to visit them, so I decided to give them another try after a year and I must say they have improved once again. The food was good and the service was a whole lot better and friendlier. Glad to see a business appreciate their customers and show commitment and dedication to taking criticism and improving.

I usually order here and most times my burger is well cooked. But I ordered there today and my burgers were not well done. I was disappointed after looking forward to eating it. It sucks customers have to pay for the lack of effort the employees put in when making our food.
I ordered a burger well done & a s’mores shake to go. Once I got my food I left everything looked good. But once I started eating it was disgusting!! My burger wasn’t cooked well and the buns were super soggy. I had to throw it away & the shake wasn’t tasty. I don’t recommend this location. I’ve been to plenty of shake shacks and never had this problem. I’m beyond upset, my money was wasted.

I think my appetite for fast food is changing but it was okay. I ordered the Shake Burger, the Crinkle Cut Fries and a vanilla custard pie with apple inside. It was satisfying but only because I needed a place to have something quickly. Spacious, decent place but the people seemed like they could have attitudes at any minute but I didnt get any. The food items had to be purchased as they dont include the fries, the pie and even the water with the sandwich. What I found a little new and surprising is how the staff came over to the section I was in (where others were also seated) and asked us if everything was okay, if we enjoyed the meal, etc., and even took the tray from customers after they were finished eating...for a fast food chain, I didnt expect that but it was a nice touch.

Food was delicious but not a food service
Having heard about shake shack I decided to give it a try. The place had a long line to get to order but after being handed a mine at the door it was quite quick at that. I can not say their burgers are not any good because they are, but they do not deserve all the hype they are getting. I had asked for a medium burger and got a well done and all the others in my party did not get their specific order and had that messed up as well.I do not know how come people compare this with In n Out and think that this is someway better than their west coast rivals but they must be clearly out if their minds.

My fave combo in this place is Shack Burger, cheese fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The light fixtures and the vibe of the place is cozy and warm. Kinda industrial too. There is an outdoor eating space on the balcony. The position of the place is also convenient, enabling a quick access to H&M, Lush, SEPHORA, and many other big stores in upper east side. However, the staffs here dont look like they are enjoying their work.
I saw manager Mr. Josy (a young fellow took him in front of me) they gave me wonderful feeling towards this store. If he store has such kind of working staff. It doom to to be nice 👍—from Jing Zhao a volunteer Shenyun art promoter

The attention here SUCKS! Its cold out, theres a line outside and the lady with the one job to hand out to go orders is doing everything to her ability to ignore everyone outside. Even when your order is ready they purposefully hold on to it for no reason...

Visited this place with my brother. The place served very delicious burgers and fries. The prices can be a little steep but its a shake shack. Theres also many seats available so finding a seat shouldnt be an issue. The place was also very clean and the employees were very friendly and nice. Service was also very quick. Would recommend to anyone if you like to eat a great burger and cross.

My sister and I had the shroom burger. I asked for grilled onions on both burgers. We received raw onions on one burger and my sister could not bite through most of her burger. Mine was edible. They did get the French fries right, extra crispy and hot! Their apple ciderade was very refreshing. The young woman who takes the orders requests a mask, your vax card and an ID to verify the name on the vax card. Thank God they dont care whose credit card you use to pay for your order!! They should pay that kind of attention to keeping the place clean especially the gross restroom.
This review is more about the location and staff than the food.Best Shake Shack location I’ve ever been to. The line was out the door but it moved so quickly, I barely had time to decide what to order. Food was also ready in record time and tables cleared very speedily, unlike other SS where you wait 10+ min to order and then another 30+ min for an incomplete tray of food. Most importantly though, every staff member there was friendly and helpful. A+ team works at this location.
The burgers at Shake Shack are moist and tasty, however in my opinion, theyre not that much better than a Wendys burger. The Smoke Shack Burger, that I recently ordered, was exceptionally salty and the bacon on top of the burger was practically raw. The shakes are tasty, but nothing special either. However, the staff is friendly and polite and the atmosphere is nice. I especially like the outdoor seating. If youre near a Shake Shack, then stop in for a bite, but I would not make a special trip here. If you want a great burger and fries, Five Guys is the place.

Cheese fries were average. the CHICKEN. oh my god the chicken was absolutely horrendous. the worst chicken i have ever had. i physically could not eat it and it makes me wanna cry.
The resturant asked us Uber customer who chose the pickup to go in the back of the restaurant with a half dozen Uber and other delivery drivers, and no one seems to care to receive us to get our food for 15-20 mins while we waited in a long line behind tbose drivers. There is a sign in the front says App/online order but when we appoached it the guy told us all Uber oreders have to go the back for collection. Absolutely appalling and straight up discrimination for Uber customers.

Just stopped in to get out of the rain for a bit. I ordered some fries. They are so light and crispy, I dont know how they do it. I have placed them on the top of my list for fast food fries. The tables outside have heaters above that keep the area and food at a great temperature.
I love Shake Shack, as we come to visit our son in NYC multiple times a year but the cashier acted very annoyed to have to take our order, kept rolling her eyes and acted like she hated us. I won’t come back again.
I love this place!!! The shroom burger is surprisingly so delicious. I had it as an additional patty on my normal beef burger and it tasted like heaven. One thing thats not great is the fries though, since theyre served in a small portion and hence not worth it.
Love the food. Their burgers are always made to perfection! Fries, shakes and hot dogs are also a hit! Always returning for more. Chickn bites are delicious as well!
Outdoor seating has very aggressive pigeons who WILL take your fries. Otherwise, the food was great and the price was very reasonable, its about as crowded as you would expect. The custard flavors rotate and they actually have a few good beers on tap! Their beet and black bean veggie burger was SO red from the beet juice, but well seasoned. Nice to see vegetarian & vegan options finally.
A classic New York original staple that once was only located in a park, and now is all over the place. The upper east side location has been open for many years and runs extremely smoothly. The food is awesome, the staff is very friendly, and I find myself ordering from here a lot.

The food tastes really good, but its kind of greasy. Greasy in a good way. Plenty of shake choices with a malt option. They have a chicken sandwhich or chicken poppers, but other than that its beef burgers. I love their burgers, but if you cant do red meat then this probably isnt the place for you.
This is a great place to go eat if you are a fan of fast food. I went here with a friend of mine to eat lunch and the food here is delicious. Also, they will be more than glad to remove some ingredients that you do not want in your hamburger. Just be aware of the amount of people in there because it could get very crowded. A great eatery overall.
A step above typical fast food burgers. I had the chicken sandwich and it was very good. My daughter lives nearby and was craving their cheeseburger. The place was packed. Not sure if its always like that. We went on Black Friday around lunch time. It didnt take long for a table to clear up though. A bit noisy but the food was satisfying.

After hitting the metropolitan museum this is great place to satisfy your hunger with a delicious cheese burger. Place is always busy so that means its always fresh .I had a small incident there but the manager surpassed my expectations the way she alleviate the issue. Love the place.

Its comfort food, just a notch above McDonalds. I never went there expecting anything more. The first few bites are always very satisfying but by the time I finish the meal my stomach usually feels a little upset. The last time I was there the manager was very rude to me so I dont go anymore. Easy decision.

Reliable chain for high quality, tasty burgers and fries. Burgers are small - a double burger is often not enough - and toppings are skimpy. One tiny piece of limp leaf lettuce is lettuce - sometimes I cant even tell its there. So this is a 3 and 3/4 stars review. Still recommended - especially for those occasional cravings
Well can just talk about what I did try as far as burgers and milkshake, not good at all, its cheaper than five guys but not as good, tastes like a knockoff version of white castle, only not good 😐
I go here mostly because the location is convenient. I like B&N and I go to a gym nearby. That being said, its hard not to like Shake Shack. The burgers are good. The doubles are a little salty for my taste. The fries are overpriced. The milkshakes are excellent.
Always a good burger! The restaurant has a bit of an awkward entrance with the line being on a staircase and is often out the door. Luckily, they have a lot of seating both inside and out. The seating on the outside is covered in shade so it is bearable when it is very warm in the summer. A decent amount of indoor seating as well for being in a good location.
I really like the shake that I got at this location. They accodonated all the modifications and additions I wanted to make to it and with my burger as well. The bathrooms were clean and there was a lot of space to find a table to eat. I like the design of this location and the stairs that go down into the dining area and then the outside patio.
So I was excited to visit this place due to the hype however I was less than impress and definitely not satisfied. The menu a typical burger joint but its tucked away and not so visible. Got to the regester and the staff assumed I was a regular from there lack of patience when I asked questions. Got 2 burgers. The regular burger was just that, regular I did not feel like it justified the price and the wait time. My friend is a picky eater and hers was a special order. Her burger was tasteless and not appealing. This place was extremely crowded and yet one of the bathroom was not working. Everyone moving to a cleaner eating and gluten free life I cannot recommend this place for ppl like that, if your in the need for a burger join with fast food feel quality then this is for you.

The bacon double cheeseburger was fantastic. The staff is super-friendly and on top of things. I got my burger to go, but next time Ill sit and have a beer with supper. It can get a little crowded, but its totally worth the visit.

This was my first shake shack experience and Im hooked. We got veggie burgers and crinkle fries and it was all so good and much better than expected. Even though at 6 pm it was super crowded, they were friendly and the service was fast. There is plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. Also conveniently located right outside the subway station.
Shake Shake is always one of my go-too choices when getting lunch. The food is awesome and no matter what you choose you will be satisfied. It is very kid friendly and besides the crowds it is an easy meal for parents. All the food is organic and the burgers are grass fed beef which is great for health conscious people. the prices can be high depending on what youre getting but it is okay for a shared meal or when buying on your own.
By far the best Shake Shack in Manhattan, NY (86 Street) great delicious burgers every time, amazing cheese fries, excellent lemonade, polite service & a clean place. So no wonder why it can get busy quickly. My only drawback would be to say that I wish there was more inside sitting, but otherwise Awesome place.
Having heard all the hype, I was certain I would be disappointed but much to my surprise the burgers truly are incredible here. Get an order of fries with that and indulge yourself. This location also offers ample seating with a self-serve condiments bar. The receipt contains the passcode for the bathroom.

Just made a group order for our ICU nurses at a nearby hospital because we expected it would be a fast fix for sustenance, however, when we received the food, none of the shakes were labeled - most notably the allergy-specific shakes. The first dilemma was hoping the shakes we picked up were our dairy-free drinks, and the second was all these poor bathrooms occupied for majority of the shift. Please label the drinks. With all these vital differences in the same shake requested, it could make or break your visit to Shake Shack every again.
The burgers were so juicy and delicious, I wish Id been able to eat there more than once while visiting. From other reviews I was expecting quite a wait but there was no line. The staff was super friendly and checked on us several times while we ate to see if we needed anything.
Delicious burgers, equivalent to Five Guys or In-N-Out (But not as good). Food is made quickly and tastes amazing. Staff is friendly and considerate. There was outside seating, but it was too cold when I went.I recommend this location, and Im sure any other location will be just as good, if not better!
I had a great time here. It was a novel experience as this was the first restaurant I have ever been to in Manhattan that has seating/cashiers/etc. at a lower ground level. The food was great but a bit pricey. One of the staff members asked me and my fellow guest how everything was, and I liked that extra attention to customers. I would like to visit again.
Shake Shack is always packed and theres always a big line. I like it better in the summer when there is outdoor seating. You can bring your dog and sit outside at a bench or a table. Its really hard to get a table inside. The shakes are great and come in a number of flavors that change every day. Sometimes if you give some money to charity you get your next Shake free.I like the cheese burgers, but the tasty fries dont come with it. You have to order them separately. The menu is meager. The prices are reasonable. Its fun to come with a friend, but you might want to get the food to go if its too crowded, but you can check if theres seats outside.
Came here with my dog (in a carrier of course). It was busy lunch time and everyone there was very nice. The workers were very enthusiastic and high energy. Reminded me of Trader joes. As far as the food I ordered the veggie burger which was pretty good. It was reddish color, so Im guessing it was made with beets. It also had an assortment of vegetables within it. It came topped with onion, lettuce, tomato and I asked for the shake sauce instead of the mustard. The cheese fries were amazing. Got the dog Icecream with biscuits for my pooch. I appreciate that they have outside seating, service was quick and the food delicious. One of the workers even came out and brought me a cup of water for my dog. Overall I would be back.
Great place, extra-ordinary food, horrible customers.From entering the store till sitting everything is always great. However the seating is always an issue and you will see people sitting for an hour not willing to leave. Grow-up people, dont ruin this amazing experience for others.Amazing place otherwise. Wow!!! No wonder there is ALWAYS a line for this place. The staff FRIENDLIEST on earth, so polite and helpful, I told them it was my first time trying it out and I received a free drink and just exceptional care! I will definitely be coming back. And not to mention the food was to die for!!! So good, changes the way I look at burgers and fries now! Randy was super nice and helpful and he is the one who really made sure my visit was one of a kind, thank you Randy!!! When I received my food I then was also gifted with a complimentary cookies n cream milkshake!!!! Wow I cannot tell you enough how great of an experience that was!
Pretty good for take out.15 minutes later, my burger still tasted fresh and was warm. My shake was still frozen and very tasty. The black and white shake is highly recommended. I would have liked to taste it as a frozen custard. Cant wait to go back.There is a special of the day for shakes daily so make sure you know what you want and dont get it confused with a frozen custard as the flavors are the same.
Honestly, Im more interested in watching how the pigeons are so fearless in the outdoor eating area.But the staff is friendly. Other than when I was charged extra for something that was included in my order already, my experience has been pleasant. But as always, Shake Shack is a crowded food chain.
The shroom burger was cold inside and the cheese was chewy and gross. It was also super greasy. The fries were not as cold but they were some of the worst Ive ever had.
The burgers here are pretty amazing. It just that the potion sizes are super small. And their fires arent that good anyway. I found the prices to be a bit up there, but the milkshakes are real good.

This specific restaurant is very overcrowded and very busy to the point where as their average wait time could cost you between 8 and 13 minutes. I want you to be very mindful that if you are a type of person that has allergies, whether it be pork or just any food item in particular, they may or may not be attentive enough to hear it the first time, so you may have to reiterate. I for one do not eat pork, and after looking at a do not eat pork, and after looking at a couple of workers, I noticed that they did not change their gloves out there working with pork products. Two ways I asked again is the woman exchange and gloves and I did notify them about my no pork. And yet as I left the store with my burger, it tasted off. To finalize on it, I also received the wrong Shake. As for those that may not know me, I am one who adores cookies and cream milkshake but this vanilla one is unacceptable. If you are one too wait in line for about 5 minutes, and wait for your food possibly up to 15 minutes depending on how long your order is, then I would recommend this Shake Shack to you. Otherwise I take my money elsewhere
Shake Shack is amazing!!!! If theres a long line, it doesnt take long at all because the service is quick. The milkshakes are AMAZING and so are the burgers. The only flaw is that it takes a bit of time for them to prepare food, but thats all. If youre a burger person, go there! They even make food for dogs! Its awesome! I love it there.

Meh. This is probably one of the worst run Shake Shacks that Ive visited. Good burger, though. Ive never been a fan of Shake Shack fries... All in all, you can get a better burger elsewhere but SS is popular for a reason, they do make tasty burgers! Id recommend coming to this location during off-peak hours, though. Good luck finding a seat at lunch!

With all the hype that Shake Shack received in the past, you would hope that the restraint would meet up to your expectations but it doesnt. The food was average and the portions were fun sized. The only thing worthwhile would be their milkshakes.
I cant think of a burger better than the double Shack burger, especially when topped with bacon. The softness of the bun, the juiciness of those 2 beautiful patties, the top notch lettuce, tomato, cheese, Shack Sauce and thick cut bacon make this the best, tastiest burger for $10.83 with tax. The staff are usually super nice. Theyre also usually super busy so there can be a wait but its worth it.
Burgers tasted good, but a little expensive and quite small portions
This was my first time having Shake Shack since moving to New York, and I wasnt disappointed! The Smoke Stack is definitely worth it. The burger itself is juicy and flavorful. The location is really nice too, with both inside and outside seating. Service was quick and friendly.
Order completely screwed up. Never did get it right. Mediocre burger must be the shack in Shake Shack. The shake was great (once we got it) and the fries were good. Like many restaurants in NYC the best cook is the publicist it seems. Not a bad restaurant but comes with a heaping helping of hype.
Good burgers and lots of fries. I typically eat the shack burger it is delicious, nice size always cooked well. The fries are good too. My 3 main issues are, this place is meant for the summer time. Not enough seating during the colder seasons and very little seating on the inside. The burgers are seasoned with way to much salt for my liking and the fries (also salty) are now cut to bite sized fries. I wish more seating, larger fries and less salt on the burgers.Other then that, love the place and it is close to home.
Wow. Not overrated. The crust on the burger really contrasted well with the sauce, which had a tanginess I was not expecting from a special sauce. The cheese just perfectly oozed onto the patty, and combined with the amount of fat from the beef, made for a luscious burger. Really quite a good burger.
From all the Shick Shacks i tried, this location is definitely the best. The staff here are super friendly, the service is quick and to the pint. It doesnt matter what kind of complain you may have, they do not argue, they just say sorry and serve you. I havent seen customers service like here in a long time.I accidentally got a burger with cheese, and when I returned, they didnt even ask, they immediately replaced it.Love this location!
Honest to god, one of the main reasons to travel to NewYork from Montreal was to try this joint out! I have heard so much about the infamous shake shack that I couldnt resist. Had the double patty burger and my wife ordered the vegetarian burger and some nice loaded fries. First of all the fresh burger was mind blowing coming from a chain restaurant and as per my wife this was easily the top 5 veggie burgers she has had in her life! Thats a compliment. Enough space to sit and enjoy your meal and bake in the beauty of shake shack!
This is a bustling stop. The line was long but moved quickly. I got 2 shakes, a burger and fries. All were delicious and felt like 1950s diner fair. I would definitely visit again. My only complaint would be the buzzer for my order alerted me that my food was ready quite some time before it actually was.
The burgers are very juicy and well cooked and their fries are pretty delicious as well, nice and crispy and seasoned just right. The lines get long, but it goes by quickly and it is definitely worth the wait. The shakes are smooth and delicious as well.

Decent burgers (small) and fries are not worth the hassle. Lines were long, wait for food was long with no space to wait, and finally hunting for a filthy place to sit was infuriating! Why do people put up with this? There are plenty of diners and bar&grills nearby with better burgers and a far more relaxed experience. Will never go back!
The service is always professional, efficient and pleasant. The chicken sandwich & fries were delicious, as is everything. But they do need to complete the outside seating area because the awning is a bit messy.
This location has a great space that never feels cramped and it also has a outdoor seating area thats always being cleaned and taken care of by the staff. The staff are friendly and attentive with smiles and great attitudes. I can always depend on them for suggestions on what to eat and drink. My favorite thing of this store and the staff is how much they love accommodating their customers, they really know how to a frown upside down.
This was my first Shake Shack experience. My son and i went to the location on 86th. Clean, comfortable atmosphere, and very friendly staff. I wasnt a fan of the Manhattan prices, but that isnt the fault of the chain. I work retail, i know pricing factors. Considering that, the prices were adequate and relative. But let me tell you about my burger child!! I got the cheeseburger plus shroom, lawwwwd it was soooooo good. Slap- ya- mama- good. Their fries are crinkle cut and pre- salted, so extra wasnt needed in my opinion. Condiments are complimentary and serve- yourself. I had the lemonade, which was a perfect ratio of sweet to tart. Burgers are juicy and crispy on the edges. They offer draft beer, wine, and refillable soda. Overall, i was very impressed, and i would go to another Shake Shack again! A must go in my opinion! Enjoy!!

First time trying the Shake Shack and wasnt disappointed. Burgers are small but tasty and the crinkle cut fries are perfectly crisp. Theres an extensive semi-covered outdoor patio but its not covered enough to stay dry from the elements.
I dont live near any Shake Shacks so when Im in a city with the opportunity I make it a mission to visit one. Ive been really excited to try the new Chicken Bites, though I was a bit skeptical about visiting a busy, NYC location. While it was busy and bustling, the place was clean, staff was helpful and efficient and my food was so fresh and delicious. Id visit again in a heartbeat and this is my now my favorite location. Sorry, Miami.
Great delicious food. But be prepared to queue as it is pretty much always packed. Seating may seem hard to find, but most people tend to eat quick and leave. The outdoor area does have heaters and a roof, so sitting outside in the winter isnt too bad.
What a fun place to go if you are going to the Met on a field trip with teens or if you just are in the area. The restaurant was nice and bright. The line looks worse than it is. The food options are nice and the veggie burger was yum I was given a good impression and would go back! They have fun promos too.
Never been disappointed by a shake shack but this is the best in the city. Customer service goes above and beyond (they replaced a burger my sister decided she didnt want for free and gave us another basket of fries, all without being asked an employee just noticed). Top notch burgers and not bad for the price.
Shake Shack continues to grow with a few tweaks to its menu. They have really great shakes.Burger wisely I feel like I can get better from other places with seasoning and flavor. The crinkled fries I could easily do at home.They are able to churn out food fast and efficiently.

2021-11-20Great burgers and shakes, lot of outdoor seating as well as indoor and nice staff.We had the chicken shack and the shack stack (cheeseburger and shroom burger patties) and both were pretty good. The Chicken shack while more expensive than McDonalds felt more tasty to me, but Chick-fil-A chicken burger is slightly better.We also had the black and white shake which was quite good and they allowed us to split it into two cups to share it.

2021-07-09Smells delicious as I get nearby. Staff is right there welcoming you in and keeping things in order which was nice. She’s taking to go orders or you may choose to dine in. Service was good. I really like the burgers here. Tried out their summer pina punch with hot honey chicken bites and some cheese fries. The punch was ok. The chicken was hot and crispy. Wasn’t as spicy as I was thought and you can definitely taste the honey.

2022-07-02Horrible service, cashiers arguing with coustumers, having a conversation between them not taking care of the coustumers. They even got muy order wrong and when I try to tell her she rolled her ayes and ignore me. Is there any manager? The food could be good but the coustumer service is horrible. The ticket dint even has the name of the cashier but anyway both of then were arguing with costumers, I really hope this review help you to improve your service.

A place you can go for fast food and it is almost as good as what you can make at home? Fantastic people working here with excellent burgers and excellent fries! This place is not overrated.
