Positive: Room smells mold. The toilet was very old and didn¿t work properly, my room was almost flooded by the clogged toilet the last day of my stay. Good thing is that the hotel receptionist moved me into another room. Negative: There is a woman who works at the front desk, she told me that I needed to pay for the high speed Wi-Fi service since I ¿chose¿ the high speed Wi-Fi. service. I told her that I have never done that. She questioned me and gave me a sarcastic attuned.
I am a titanium Marriott rewards member, so I stay in a lot of Marriott owned properties . I would give this hotel 2 stars but the staff is so kind and so attentive. The rooms are severely dated. All the rooms reek of cigarettes. All of the carpets are severely soiled. The staff were very apologetic but it is no fault of their own. I am unimpressed overall. The mattresses all sink and have weathered quite a few storms. I will make the best of it but if you can find better and not break the bank I say stay elsewhere. The hotel is being renovated. I assume next year it will be stunning.Update. No microwave on the entire property. Not even in a breakfast area or a hallway. And no place to get a snack or a bottle of water after hours. U have to leave the property and go to the store. I did have access to the lounge so in the am I was able to stock up on snacks and whatnot. Housekeeping did come freshen up my room and vents. I also had my room changed.
Their room is extremely outdated.Still had a garbage when we walked in and a lot of broken stuff in room. (broken shower head/handles/loud fridge)The lobby in under construction and not informed clearly on site. Super inconvenient to check in. The lobby looks like covid pop-up. The price is not justified for its low standard. Basically trap stay for emergency/delayed flight guests.
Great that it’s close to everything. But this place is old. They really need to update a lot of things. The bed is so uncomfortable. It’s old and it’s all lob sided. The really need new beds. The bedding is old and you can tell it’s old by the coloring. Bathroom is old. I don’t know if this room have been dusted or not but it’s 5 am I can’t even sleep because I’m itching everywhere on my body. I am allergic to dust mite. Idk if it’s the room or not. The bed is really uncomfortable.
My wife and I were very happy booking Sheraton Laguardia East for our wedding. Sheeba (our wedding coordinator) and Steve (our day of coordinator) are experienced planners who guided us with patience, calmness, flexibility, and competence.Sheeba is extremely detailed and patiently corresponded with us through 8 months of multiple e-mails and calls. She responds to you readily to questions big and small while tackling complex issues with ease.Steve is always one step ahead and his presence on the big day put us at ease. Steve was extremely calm during the big day and we were wondering why. Later on, we realized its because he’s really good at his job and he’s been doing this for a long time. We’re pretty certain that there were multiple issues that came up that we didn’t even know about because Steve took care of it all.Early on in our planning, we had an issue of non-responsiveness from one sales manager. The issue, however, was quickly resolved after we requested a change. Sheeba and Steve’s professionalism made up for this one hiccup. And, we appreciated that the sale manager approached us in person with a sincere apology. The decor and food was incredible; guests from both sides of our family raved about the quantity and quality of the Chinese banquet food. One thing to consider, however, is that the outdoor ceremony space holds the white noise of queens traffic and airplanes flying overhead. The speaker system carries quite well but we had some live music and this part did not fare well for us.Despite this, we still strongly feel that the value is incredible, especially for the price you pay. The staff often goes the extra mile and even does little things to offer hospitality. We highly recommend this venue for events. 5 stars all the way!
Their free shuttle to the airport is the nastiest thing ever. Unprofessional drivers who demand for a tip to give back your luggage when you’re getting late for you flight. Tried contacting the front desk and they were not taking responsibility of their own shuttle. Is this a SHERATON? A MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL group hotel? They refused to share the managers email for me to register an official complaint against the most unprofessional behaviour from their staff.
Positive: The shuttle driver was awesome, and most of the staff was very friendly and helpful Negative: The front desk people charged my incorrectly both nights. I had to go down and ask about it, and the charges are still pending on my credit card which makes me uneasy.
Positive: This hotel nice and clean everyone of the workers very helpful and willing to help or assist where needed I will recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel and it¿s close to the train station three minutes walk Negative: The small refrigerator was not working
Positive: It was in a good location. A lot of restaurants nearby Negative: The hotel was dirty when I stayed there. My room was not cleaned properly and there were roaches in my room. I was so grossed out that I check out couple of hours after checking in. If one room has roaches then all the rooms probably have roaches.
Hotel having a construction work, so i had to walk with a senior in a rain, then no elevator in the entry, so my mom who has a knees issues after walking in rain, had to use the stairs to get into elevator, when i checkout no bill was given to me, and I found extra 50 dollars charged to my credit card.
Rooms were updated several years ago but you could tell still dated. Some stuffs are not functioning in the manner we expected, especially the HVAC, Toilets, and the bed is getting spongy. The elevator too is very old. An incident which was a little surprise to us. We asked for a beer opener and was told they do not have one. Not a single one in a Marriott chain hotel. Thats not acceptable. Executive lounge doesnt have much to offer except basic coffee, sodas, water. Food options very limited during breakfast and evening. Neighborhood is majority Asian so its great access to good food and groceries. The street feels like youre in Asia. Hotel shuttle was very convenient, so another plus. Being a titanium member, we would consider this hotel if we want to stay in this part of NYC. Otherwise Manhattan definitely has better hotels options.
Positive: Employees were all wonderful. The shuttle driver was great and the room was clean and bed was comfy. Negative: I had to be at the airport at 5:30am but shuttle service didnt start until 6am. There are so many early flights. It would be helpful to have earlier shuttle service.
First and last time staying at a Sheraton if they are all like this. The first room we were give had broken/ caved in beds. The send room had better beds but the smell was horrible. The carpet smelled like must, pee, and mold. That offer another room but it had the same issue bad beds. This seems to be the norm. They was also a lost of construction and remodeling. The pictures are false advertising. Also if you go out to eat don’t bring back any leftovers. There are no microwaves on the property. Not the hotel standards I am use too.
This hotel property has a premium location - minute walk to subway and bus station, shopping, market and tons of restaurants. Although hotel lobby is undergoing major renovation, but this does not stop them from providing excellent service. Hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly. They were responsive and prompt to customer’s request. We had a very pleasant stay.
I was surprised by the condition of the physical hotel, the room and the staff. I was not prepared that te hotel was under major renovation when I booked. At check in we parked the car in the hotel parking but had to carry luggage a full city block to a temporay hotel entrence that seemd to be some sort of office building. We walked throgh several long, poorly let hallways to a set of 2 elevators with a printed sign sating that registration was on the 7th floor. On the 7th floor there was a make shift registrartion set up in what I assume will be a meeting room when construction is completed. The check in staff seemed over whelmed and slighly confused. This was made more difficult by the fact that my agent had some difficulty with english fluency. There is more specifics I could add but bottom line is that in addition to the temporary appearance of the registration, the staff seemed under trained and under prepared. I rented 3 rooms. My room was warm and the carpet was damp smelling. My Air Conditioning was also broken and did not get fixed until late in the evening. Our room door would not open or close withour force. There was no daily service for the rooms because the hotel was understaffed. I asked for daily service and was told it was available upon request...it just never happened. We tried the restaurant for breakfast that was set up in another meeting room on the 7th floor. Again there was a problem with english fluency, one staff person taking orders and one cook with what seemd to be a hotplate in the bacl of the room. She too our simple order and 10 minutes later when the cook arrived told us that they were out of 1/2 the things we ordered. I asked for suggestions and, because fo teh english barrier, she could not make any. I ended up speaking with the cook who substituted a bread and meat for our breakfast sandwitches. In fairness, the sandwich was surprisingly good. We planned to stay 3 nights but because of thie experience we left a night early but I prepaid and was charged for all 3 rooms for a 3 nights. There needs to be an audit of this hotel and its staff training, construction warning to guests and protocols durning renovation. It was NOT up to Sheraton standard at any level.
Came here to spend romantic evening with my partner and everything started out good. Then we seen a ROACH yup I said it a BIG ONE. We were upset they moved us to a higher floor in a different room, they come and inspect and move us just to wake up in a different room with another ROACH. At this point it’s a roach problem. Never will stay here again.
Staff at check in were courteous and the process went very quickly. There was a wait for the elevators due to the current construction situation in progress. The valet parking staff were very efficient and courteous as well. The hotel room was clean, enough charging stations for electronics and had quality bedding. Unfortunately, the mattress I found to be uncomfortable and very firm. Great area for walking, exploring and subways/buses to travel to NYC and beyond are very accessible if needed.
Perfect hotel to stay if using La Guardia. Very good parking in a secure environment with good staff.Bar Manager Stephen is exceptional. But all staff very professional and friendly. Be aware this is an old hotel undergoing renovation. Rooms are up to the usual Marriott/Sheraton standard. I found my bathroom a bit small. Room size was fine though
Positive: Nothing, horrible experience..they don¿t care about you and your family and small kids. After asking something to warm my baby milk they have nothing. Telling us due to covid 19 our policy does not allow but there staff was without mask . Such a joke. Negative: Construction, 3 elevators to take to get into my room. Staff was terrible. I have kid and they don¿t have anything in entire hotel to warm up regular milk. After asking they provided rusty electric kettle due to which my baby milk turn into brown color
I dont know how this is considered a Sheraton. The staff seemed amazing. They were very nice and helpful. The problem is, Theres construction going on and theres no mention of that when you try to book the hotel. Then, the room smelled funny and the bed was not comfortable and I would argue, it was broken. December 2021. Maybe I can visit after they finish construction and re-review this place.
Positive: This hotel is a joke. It¿s ¿under construction¿ is their excuse that they don¿t tell you when you book. This is a $-- a night motel. Stains on the ceiling and carpet, just gross overall. No cable tv, no cares by Staff. Negative: This hotel is a joke. It¿s ¿under construction¿ is their excuse that they don¿t tell you when you book. This is a $-- a night motel. Stains on the ceiling and carpet, just gross overall. No cable tv, no cares by Staff.
Even with hotel construction, this Sheraton is top notch! Check in was easy and the hotel agent was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, with nice TV, mini-fridge and coffee maker. Plenty of toiletries too. Next time Im near LGA, I will stay at this Sheraton again. Excellent hotel!
Positive: Rooms where nice and clean and very quiet, the room service had very good prices and great food selection, the location was close to restaurants and grocery stores walking distance. Negative: Weird hotel entrance having to take 2 different elevators to get to your room, location oh this hotel very crowded.
Hotel is supposed to be 4-star it should be more like a 1-2 star. Not only was it under construction but there were holes on the doors, peeling wall paper, creaky beds, stains on the floor, noisy neighbors and thin walls. You have to pay for parking. The only decent thing was the staff. I took pictures, I was so disgusted. Would’ve left if I could get a better room elsewhere.
Positive: Absolutely nothing Negative: Everything!!! Only offer paid parking, only cater to 1 demographic, not 1 room or location in hotel I visited was clean, cafe offered regular room service no actual restaurant on site as listed. Had broken chairs and dirty tables. Lobby garbage on floor
Me and my families stayed at Sheraton LaGuardua East for the July 4th weekend and had a good time. Because of the Covid the room service was optional, which means that they dont come to clean unless we request. It didnt bother us though since we spent a lot of time in the hotel room napping, and when we requested, the room service was quick and thorough. I want to mention that the staff at the front desk were extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable, who even helped us with connection to Wi-Fi, printing out the documents, and made our stay carefree. I wish they had an extra umbrella on that rainy night, but that was at the mercy of the resource. Overall the stay was very pleasant I totally recommend.
Renovations to the hotel, made finding the entrance a bit confusing at first. It took one elevator to get to the check-in office, and a different elevator to go up to my floor. The room space was ample, had a mini fridge, and the beds ere divinely comfortable. On the 16th floor, the Club Lounge, complimentary breakfast and dinner were served from 6am-10am and 6:30pm-8:30pm respectively. 24/7 access with a tv to watch, snacks, fruits, tea bags, soft drinks, water, juices and a coffee/espresso/mocha/hot cocoa & water machine were also available at no extra cost.
This hotel location is under construction and should be closed until it is brought back up to speed. From front entrance to your walk to 7th floor check-in, you see flood damage and “under construction” signs, but never saw work being done. Smells moldy.Staff was very dry at check-in. Absolute BEST part of 4-day trip was our shuttle bus driver David who was very hospitable and pleasant.
Positive: Rooms were in good condition and clean Negative: Hotel is undergoing major renovation. Auto garage had no elevators due to recent flooding and is around the corner from the entrance while the renovation is being completed. Very little signage to guide you through the construction. Not a value
I had bugs in my bathroom, I was kept up late by people in the next room. The room was nice, besides the bugs and comfortable, not enough creamer and sugar in room for coffee, The service at the front desk was pleasant and the accomodated me with a free cup of coffee the next day, I had an extremely pleasant shuttle ride to the Airport, Kevin was helpful with my bags, and very friendly. A true gentleman. I do not recommend this hotel if you need sleep
This was my first time visiting the big Apple and based on the customer reviews, I selected this hotel. Let me say I was a little disappointed and it has nothing to do with the remodeling of the lobby(personally they should have invested that money in the rooms). First, the 3 stars are for the great customer service , friendly hospitality and the bed. The room I stayed in was dated, carpet was horrible and the bath tub needs a good scrub and would not drain. They did send a very nice gentleman to fix it but the issue will need more than a quick fix. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and to sum it up a good deep cleaning is needed. I would stay there again only after the rooms have been remodeled because the location is close to everything and I am a big Chinese food lover.
Hotel is under major construction right now but we enjoyed our stay. The service here is 5 star! Ever associate we encountered was so friendly and wanted to go over and above to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Ended up booking a 2nd night solely based on our service. Only reason for knocking a star is because the rooms are very dated. I know they are renovating the main areas but I hope the rooms get a face lift as well. Very, very dingy and dark. Need at least fresh paint.
Horrible. A standard size van could not fit in the garage. I had to use a different garage that cost 4x as the hotels garage. Completely acceptable!! I also couldn’t find a way in to the hotel. Construction I guess? I had to walk my things all the way around the block to get into the hotel. Dead rats all over the sidewalks!?!? No elevator!?!? Done!
Positive: It was easy to get on the expressways. The staff was helpful given the situation. Really good pillows Negative: Did not know that it was under construction and needed to take 3 different elevators from the parking garage to the room with my elderly mother. City View was the high rises around the hotel. The room was OK, but definitely not 3.5 stars.
While understandable that they are working on a new lobby, the current setup is very poor considering the room cost. There are multiple elevators to get to the temporary lobby from the entrance, which itself is in a poor state. The staff was very nice, but another guest in our party walked into her room to a member of the staff smoking in the room. Overall felt like a very poor hotel despite the room cost being quite high.
Thank you ! Thank you ! The staff here are extremely efficient at their job. Most important they are friendly , welcoming and accommodating. Not one complaint from anyone. They took care of all of our needs, shuttle , room supplies , food and beverage at hotel dining , and general care. What a pleasure it was to stay here and to feel safe during our stay. Thank you thank you
Pleasant enough for an overnight stay. It is after all located in the heart of all eating & shopping thoroughfares. Could possibly be better after their major renovation. Not very convenient when the elevator from the parking garage to the front desk is out of order & the guests have to carry their luggages in a round about walk.
Can’t ask for a better Flushing location, even though construction was ongoing at the lower floors (10/2021) it was seldom seen and detours were well marked and area clean.Hotel staff were fantastic, handled special requests and arranged for tours and transportation. You can’t ask for better service!
Stay somewhere else. Hotel is under construction. The hotel is undergoing a complete remodel (which it desperately needs). Bar and restaurant is closed so they setup a temporary one in a small conference room. Just wanted to relax in my room and watch the Thursday night football game but the cable was out. They said it was due to weather. Tables in the hotel were very dusty. As I’m leaving the hotel in the morning there were broken beer bottles in the entrance way that you had to walk over to get in or out. The guy working at the entrance did not care. Don’t waste your money. Stay somewhere else until the construction is complete.
Positive: Location is good Negative: Wow. Pretty much everything had issues. Construction everywhere, front desk was not equipped. Room was bad, no ventilation, I swear they have mold in the walls, stunk of cleaning solution and then mold the rest of the stay. Tv remotes broken, badchannels
As a titanium member there was no recognition at check in. The room given, 1601, was a handicapped room next to a stairwell. That stairwell was used for people working construction starting at 7:30am. To say it was loud is an understatement. I understand the hotel is getting repaired from a storm and remodeling but it should close until those repairs are completed. Taxi and Uber can’t find the entrance easily. Check in is moved to the 7th floor where there’s at least 5-6 people in a small space. While the lounge is open the food is subpar. It’s sad because this use to be my go to hotel when I fly into LGA. No more.
Positive: Bed,towels Negative: I was told since no room to park in garage for me to go next door mention Im guest that cost me 44$an at check in I was charged 65$was never told about it. Shower head was loose almost hit me in the face ice machines were broke. I needed to save booking
This was our 12th stay at the Sheraton LaGuardia East - we stay here every time we go to the US Open tennis tournament. The hotel is not especially fancy, but it is clean and spacious. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and it is in the center of Flushing, one of the best neighborhoods to be a tourist in in NY - especially if you like Korean or Chinese or Vietnamese cuisine. Mets fans can walk to Citi Field from the hotel, and they also run a shuttle. The executive lounge has a full breakfast and hors doevres (sp) at night. One thing to be aware of - the hotel has been undergoing renovations for what seems like 2 years and so there are a few detours in the lobby. I hope the renovation is finished soon!
Positive: It was my birthday, check-in quickly and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The management prepared a fruit and cheese platter as a complimentary gift, sweet! Thank you! Negative: I left few boxes of pastries in the room to pick up later, havent check out the housekeeper came and throw my pastries into the trash! Little upset, lack of communication between the front and back of housekeeping.
Stay for 3 nights and did not have any housing keeping at all even I requested. I booked two rooms at this location and none of it get house keep for 3 nights. I would expect during pandemic they should maintain the room cleaner, but even a two star hotel like Day inn have house keeping daily. The is not acceptable at all. I will not recommend anyone to stay in Sheraton.
Across from the subway, just a 40 minute ride to Times Square. One stop away from Citi Park for a Mets game. Can’t beat $14 parking. Friendly neighborhood that felt safe to walk in at night. Not a lot of nightlife going on near the hotel, but the convenience of the subway makes a trip to Manhattan easy.
Entrance was closed due to construction and I had to haul my luggages around for blocks looking for a way to get in. Temporary lobby was a conference room that didn’t have AC on and I almost fainted from the heat and stuffiness. Rooms had busted smoke alarm, smelly towels, holes on the wall, questionable puddle of water next to the toilet, shampoo was missing. Overall just felt dirty and extremely poorly maintained. I can’t believe I paid money to stay here. I can’t believe it’s a Sheraton…
I had a horrible experience, i stayed for 3 nights. first of all i was not told that the hotel was be renovated until 24hrs prior of me checking in, i find that highly unprofessional. and two in order to leave the hotel i needed to take TWO elevators just to get out. the restaurant was closed. and on the last night as a cherry on top the air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. Im actually going back to nyc next weekend, and Im definitely not staying here. besides all that at least the staff was nice.
Positive: The rooms were very nice. Negative: They are in the middle of doing construction and the main lobby is on a different floor. The parking garage is very small and is only valet so we had to wait 20 minutes in a line of cars just to be able to go and check into the hotel.
Had to say this does NOT feel like a 4 stars hotel. The interior is outdated, dirty carpets, small room, and the staffs didn’t feel welcoming at all. Currently, this hotel is under construction so we had to take 2 different elevators just to check in our rooms and the check in “place” feels a like a closet and most guests didn’t even have a place to stand while waiting for the “slow and unfriendly” check in process. Also because the pandemic, we had to wait long time for the elevators and had to take two different elevators every single time just to get to our room. The valet parking is only $14; however, the valet staff expects tips every time when they give you the car. If you happen don’t have any cash with you, they stand there and asked for it which seems very aggressive for a 4 star hotel.
The AC did not work in the room, neither did the fan to move any air. It was 79 degrees all night, very uncomfortable to sleep. There is absolutely no excuse to pay for a room and be that uncomfortable. I had read reviews saying the same thing but I honestly thought it was a couple of one offs or they didnt know how to use the thermostat but apparently they are not concerned about fixing the situation. We could not get out of there fast enough in the morning.
We have been staying at the Sheraton LaGuardia East on our trips to NY for the past 14 years. In that time we have grown quite fond of the staff. We are treated like family when we stay. They have made seeing my family in NY a joyous and stress free experience. We appreciate all the staff. Thank you
Great location, clean, and friendly staff! Rooms are not sound proof at all. There were large groups of people talking loudly on our floor in the hallway and making loud noises from 9pm and didnt really stop till 5am. It was impossible to get any rest. Called the front desk a few times throughout the night friendly staff but the noise issues was never really resolved and impossible to get any rest for next day activities.
Usually my go to hotel, stayed here more than a few times and despite the ongoing renovations, my stays are generally positive. However, I found my 2 night stay Oct 2nd to be quite disappointing. Ice machines are out of service on floors 7, 8, 9 and 10th. Thats not even that much of a big deal. I came back late from work and just wanted to heat my food up at the communal microwave that they had available at the makeshift front desk on the 7th floor during my past stays.I found out that was removed and the front desk agent Jay just kept reiterating its unfortunate and you have to talk to management. There are no microwaves available to use for any guests at this hotel?Ill tell you whats unfortunate, staff that dont have the common human decency to help someone in need. Im sure there are dozens of microwaves in the back for their staff to use but wont help a guest heat up their food.Sad
Positive: The hotel was in the perfect location of what we wanted. Negative: It is under construction. The room needed to be vacuumed as there were crumbs on the floor and we didnt even eat in the room. Also hair everywhere in the bathroom and I have braids so non of it was mine or my sons.
Even though the hotel is being renovated it was clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly. But if you come here you have to pay for parking and a 1 liter bottle of water will set you back $2.00.The view from our 16th floor room was ok.The shower was surprisingly damn good.I gave it 4 stars. Only because of paid parking and I had to pay for my drinking water.
Positive: The staff was nice, and the room was huge, although I believe we got the handicap accessible room, but regardless enjoyed the space! Negative: Due to the renovations we had to go back and forth with elevators and only one elevator went to parking level. It wasn¿t that terrible though, just was a little confusing.
Deference front desk with deference option. Can’t order a suite because I have to wait for someone check out who have the top line decision. That’s why I ordered 2 nights for regular room. Finally I get a suite at the third day checked in. I choose one day stay because I asked the front desk is that any deference with I order 2 days and 1 day extension. The answer is the same. And I get notice have to check out 11:00. And I have to wake up at 9:00 that we are doing vacation. I told front desk for 3 days extension. She said Check out and check in I’ve no idea with this. And she said Saturday no more suite available. I don’t care have room or not, because I’m still living here. Right now I’m living here and I can not live anymore with the same type of the room after I paid for 3 more days.
The staff and hotel led my ms Silvia Ponce is one of the best I have ever seen. I am a titanium elite member and have been all over the world this hotel is like my family. I love coming here and the staff is incredible . The rooms are nice and clean and everyone from the valet to the front desk to Maitnence is amazing. I can tell they really handpicked who works at this property. Thank you for a great stay like always !
My experience with Sheraton was not pleasant whatsoever. I checked in on July 2nd and noticed that the AC was not working. The room temperature was 84. I went to the lobby and told them if I could switch rooms. They said they would send a technician to repair the AC. After attending my meeting in the conference room, I went to my room at 11 PM. The AC still had not been fixed and I went to my colleagues room, room that had a double bed, where I had to sleep for the night. I was relocated the next day. The damage had already been done. I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone in the future as you do not care about your customers at all. I had to pay for a room for one night where I didn’t even get to use.
Over all the hotel are keep clean with minor maintenance issues, most of the staffs are friendly and helpful, and the location is an excellent choice if you are planning on exploring the good food and going to the city, the best restaurant what Flushing has to offer, it is all within a few minutes short walk from the hotel and just a block away from the subway and many bus choices.Pros: a block from the nearest subway station, at the center of fine Chinese restaurant’s battle ground, be ready to chow down a lot of good food, great views, friendly staff and very comfortable room amenities.Cons: a bit noisy if your room is near the elevator, the place can be a maze, especially when you try to have food deliver to your hotel ( during the renovation, it makes a bit more harder to get in and out of the hotel)
If youre visiting the Flushing area then this is a great Hotel to consider booking. Convenient valet parking located on 39th Avenue directly across the street from a municipal parking lot. Hotel also connected to a mall so guests have access to a spa as well as a few stores to shop while staying. Also good to mention that there are a few great restaurants within walking distance to the hotel so a car is not needed.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on July 29,2021 for one night. I am their old customer since they opened over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, its nightmare for us for all night and we almost couldnt sleep all night. The problem is you can hear someone talking loudly, playing Chinese music, TV loudly or even snorting loudly. In the beginning, We thought maybe someone lay under bed. After we checked nothing under bed. Its terrible night for us and finally I called room service between 1:30 to 2 AM and someone told me he will call security to stop them. Otherwise I said I will call police to handle. Its not really 4 stars hotel .Its more worse than motels. I think they should improve and remodel this super old hotel. Its really too old. Plus they have so many Mainland China customers are not very good quality and always talk very loudly in their rooms or lobby. I can hear very clearly from both sides and upper of my rooms. I punched the wall, but they dont care. Its really nightmare night.
Sleek hotel with oriental flair, smack dab in the middle of Flushing. Spacious ballrooms with audiovisual equipment of superior quality. Well-maintained furnishings and frequently cleaned bathrooms. Parking is impossible anywhere in Flushing, so taking a helicopter to a nearby rooftop helipad is your best bet.
The location was excellent! We were in the heart of China Town and catching the train was an easy several blocks from the hotel. It was great experiencing authentic Chinese food.Parking was reasonable as you validate your ticket during the entire stay. All the staff was pleasant, professional, and hospitable. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Please consider the rest as constructive criticism:Understanding that many buildings in New York are several hundred years old, we placed that in consideration when staying. The bathroom did not have any exhaust fan and the auto occupancy light that comes on is a blinding lumen during late night use of the bathroom -- I which there was a dimmer switch; some of the grout lines needed better attention; the toilet seat was slipping off easily and we noticed that we have to keep the lever pressed for a few seconds for the water to flush; and the toilet flapper would stick inside the toilet tank.I also noticed that the vent for air conditioner could be cleaned. We couldnt ignore an order in the hotel room which smelled a bit dusty. We noticed that the rug could use better upkeep: there were stains. But we liked the welcoming and great smiles form everyone. The bartender was awesome. We will definitely return despite those hiccups.
It was under renovation during my stay. It was quite confusing regarding the layout. The room, carpets, and devices are old. But they provide high speed internet if you are the gold member. In general, I dont feel this is a good 3 Star hotel campaigning to other Marriatt hotels.
The location of this hotel is ideal if you need to get into the city, but dont want to pay Manhattan prices. Its about a 40-minute train ride from the cityand the trainers right around the corner from the hotel. This location also has on-site parking for about $15, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than a parking ticket.Last time I stayed at this hotel, it was a bit loud. This could be due to a large group that was staying there, but definitely something to take into account. The hotel is also going through some construction so there are some challenges getting into the hotel at this moment. Once thats resolved, Im certain this will all be cleared up.The overall room size was adequate. My tub could have been much cleaner, but overall the room was fine. If youre looking to save some money then this hotel will do.
Positive: Being close to the subway station. Surrounded with many Asian resturants. Negative: The hotel was under construction. The temporary entrance was inconvenient. It seems the neighborhood the Hotel was located was not that safe and was full of homeless and beggars.
The hotel is located in the center of Flushing. It is convenient for shopping and dining, and it is also very safe. There is always a security guard sitting at the door. The only downside is that the exterior of the building is not as exquisite as the picture shows due to their remodeling.
The hotel was under a major renovation when we arrived so parking/check in process was very confusing. We entered a side entrance of the hotel where we were met by a gentleman named John Walker. After trying to figure out where to go and check in the gentleman became very upset and started raising his voice and becoming very disrespectful to my group when we couldn’t understand where check in was. Definitely not how any guest should be treated after a long flight and ride to the hotel and not to mention this was my first time ever in New York, what a pleasant first interaction. My hat goes off to the Manager Ed however, who personally came down to the lobby we were in and apologized for Johns behavior. After a brief explanation of the hotels security policy Ed personally walked my group to the 9th floor where a make shift check in office was set up. He got us all checked in and I can tell that he had conversations with his security staff as we were treated pleasantly and the rest of our stay was incredibly smooth. Thanks Ed!
Staff were all super helpful and friendly. From the moment we walked through the door we were offered assistance. After check-in we went to our room and I noticed that the bedding was down feather (I have an allergy to down) and the tv wasn’t responding. We called the front desk and they had people up to fix both issues super quickly! I also loved that they arranged a car service to the airport for us. It took a bit off travel stress off of me and made my morning run much more smoothly. Also good to note is that they are pet friendly and don’t charge a pet fee!! (Unless there is damage, obviously). I had such a hard time finding a hotel near the airport that allowed pets after my reservation at Aloft was canceled due to covid shutdowns. Luckily I talked to the right person go recommended the Sheraton.Very happy with this hotel!
Positive: I like the hotel it self the location and room styles Negative: Room 1101 had no air conditioner the toilet made a loud noise all night and I could not sleep I requested a new room the staff member lied and told me that was the only room left... it was very hot in the room and there is no bath tub in that room...
Positive: The place was unwelcoming in appearance and my children and elderly parents did not want to sleep there. We left early the next morning because of the uneasiness of the hotel. Not to mention the large amounts of trash piled up outside. Negative: Does Sheraton know they have a hotel that looks this way in operation. The place had a filthy/horrible location; above all scary and unwelcoming. The rugs looked and felt soiled and mattress bumpy. My bathroom facet leaked; I wish I could be refunded.
Positive: Location Negative: Need to remodel this super old hotel. You can hear someone talking from both sides and upper of your room. Too many China customers stay here and are very low quality. Talk loudly at midnight, play Chinese music or call China loudly. Can¿t sleep all ni
Downtown Flushing hotel located at Main at Roosevelt. 10 mins from LGA and 1 min from 7 train. Multiple buses nearby. However, the parking lot and the lobby are under renovation making it an extreme hassle to get bags from your car to the lobby. Concierge lounge on the 16th floor. Special thanks to Allan and Matthew and Concierge staff for helping out.
I realize your under renovation but wow it’s confusing. First just finding the place at night I was a headache. Dark and poor signage. Then the elevators was even worse. To get to my car when I left the hotel I get in the elevator once to check out on one floor. Then a 2nd time to go to the main floor. Then change to another elevator to find out that elevator doesn’t go to the parking. Then got back out to try and figure out how to get an elevator that does go to parking. Finally giving up and going to the exit floor and getting out to hit the button and wait for the other elevator to go to parking. So that was 5 trips in and out of an elevator. Just a little crazy. I can say this much, if that situation isn’t corrected after construction I wouldn’t return.
Service is great but the room is a bit out dated. No microwave in room, need to request a water boiler. No window opening so the only air is from the ac unit. And it comes on and off at its own desire. Called in front desk multiple times due to ac and refrigerator, the service is nice and quick.
My family stayed from the dates Dec. 3rd-9th while my husband attended a work conference. From the moment we were picked up via shuttle from the airport until we were dropped off via shuttle at the airport, we were treated so kindly! We traveled with our 4 year old son and to NY for the first time ever. Our visit was amazing and our stay at the Sheraton was exceptional. The front desk were friendly and responsive, helping me with a car ride to the zoo one day with my son. The housekeeper Junie (excuse spelling if not correct) on the 14th floor was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful and GREAT at her job! She deserves recognition for her hard work and dedication to keeping the rooms clean and guests happy. The restaurant, wait staff and food there was delicious. The rooms service as well. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. I loved the Green Choice which allowed us to defer daily room cleanings, clean towels etc in order to save water and be more green basically. It allowed for a daily $5 coupon to be used in the hotel, but also saves resources! Basically, this hotel made our fist time visit to a big city (from a Florida small town), just perfect! Was a great place to come back to after walking miles in the city at night. Thanks so much for the great stay!
Caught off-guard by a staff member in the elevator without a mask. Also had a very poor experience with a valet who was absolutely flabbergasted that I needed to get something out of my car after it was parked. So much for the unlimited in and out privileges the front desk told us about.
I stayed a night at the Sheraton LaGuardia East before catching an early flight out of LaGuardia. The hotel is located in the middle of everything and lots of excitement and culture can be found right outside your door! The lobby and common area are new and updated and beautiful. The staff was warm and friendly. The club lounge was excellent with a great spread and access to water and soft drinks 24/7.My room was pretty dated. It was clean and comfortable so that is all that matters but it was in serious need of a refresh. The one thing that made me laugh was the VCR/DVD combo. Overall a solid hotel with great employees. I enjoyed the surrounding neighborhood and exploring all of its offerings.
My family and I stayed at this property (two rooms) because of a cancelled flight. We received a connecting room that was fine and clean. The rooms are comfortable but did not appear to have been renovated in the past couple years. We had a good (albeit short) nights sleep. The club lounge has an excellent staff who really went out of their way to meet our needs. The breakfast fare in the club lounge was very basic not great. It was adequate though. The shuttle van was convenient. It would have been nice if the driver had been dispatched when we landed rather than when only after we had collected all of our bags. It was hard to have kids wait for 15 minutes after midnight.Id definitely stay here again if I was stuck at LGA. If I were visiting NYC, I think that Id stay at another property though.
Good location in the heart of Flushing, NY. Great restaurant and shopping within walking distance (Plus Citi Field). 35 min subway ride from Times Square. Safe neighborhood. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Great place to decamp if want to avoid the noise and bustle of Manhattan. Will return to this location in future. Nice facility all around.
Ever so regret to book this hotel this time. I had stayed in this hotel many times for its location. And I like it. But this time it was so awful. I have stayed other hotel during their renovation period, they would put extra effort to make guests felt welcome and comfortable. But this one stopped services all together and excuse everything to covid and renovation.
To be fair I did not stay a single night in the hotel rooms. Instead, this is my 2nd year attending a 2 day conference in this hotel. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff were. Every single person was attentive, responsive and just overall nice people. The parking lot was as quick and efficient as can be. You can tell this place is a well oiled machine. A hotel is only as good as its staff! Special shout out to Ricky! Thank you for all your help!
My son and I went to the Classic East Concert at Citi Field, and this hotel was a fantastic place to stay. Free shuttle bus from LaGuardia, smack dab in the middle of Chinatown so we could walk around and eat yummy food at a couple of really great restaurants and check out all the shops. The bellhops got us car service to Manhattan (took cabs back, price comparable) and when we needed rides to the concert(s), they graciously drove us in the shuttle bus, going above and beyond what I expected. The room (double beds) was comfortable and QUIET! I couldn`t believe it, because we could see from our window the end of the airport runway and got to watch the planes take off and fly seemingly right over us. My only beef would be that the free wifi never did load up for me on my phone to accept the terms, so I had to go without wifi in the room. Not a problem for my son, because he never uses free wifi hotspots. :P We were right next to the lounge, where I could print off my boarding passes for free, plus free (non alcoholic) drinks, (we never tried the food, although it looked good), and we never heard a peep from there. I could hear light dings from the elevator, but where I live at it`s noisier than that, so no problem. We did room service the first night (too tired from walking around the neighborhood :P ) and the food was delicious and came faster than I expected. The hotel is close enough to Citi Field that we could walk home from the concert both nights. (Lots of other people/ police around, so no fear in the sketchy parts) I will definitely stay here again if I ever go back to New York.
Simply fantastic hotel. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is immaculate, with large rooms, especially in NYC, and is conveniently located near shopping, transportation, restaurants and the areas cultural offerings. Food was good. Provided shuttle service to and from the airport was an added bonus. I have nothing negative to say and would return in a heartbeat!!
Great location, close to subway station. Staying here for a class that I’m attending in the hotel. The room was comfortable and the rooms very clean, the restaurant here was awesome, I had breakfast twice and was impressed that they had fully cooked over easy eggs in their breakfast buffet. I had the hamburger for lunch one day that was delicious and plentiful.
The hotel staff was excellent. Rooms were very nice. I wish food choices in the hotel restaurant were more American . Meeting facilities were great. We were not happy about no pool. We were assuming there was a pool and that was our fault, but I would not stay again because of that. Everything else was okay.Transportation via the subway way easy. This was great.
A perfect short 4-day stay for a home visiting traveling with kids from the west coast. We are fortunate to have this very classy, luxury, landmark hotel in the heart of Queens. Its convenient, is walking distance to stores, shops and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The parking fee is an exceptional value for the hotel guests: at $14/night! This hotel always treats the guests like family- starting from the welcoming staff at the front desk, and the exceptional services provided during our stay in general. This is our only choice of hotel stay when we come back home visiting family.
This hotel exceeded expectation from the moment I arrived. My flight was cancelled and even they showed as sold out were able to accommodate me. The check in was fast and friendly and the room was amazing. The lounge attendants made you feel special and made sure I had everything I need. I stay at a lot of hotels and the service here was top tier.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations, hotel and transportation questions.Room was spacious and clean, really liked the Oriental rug as opposed to just plain blah hotel carpeting.Club room had nice view, wish they had more than oatmeal, as far as a hot option, but get that its not required. Finally, had an amazing bartender our last night at the hotel. She did a fantastic job and recommended her favorite dishes from the restaurant menu and ran to the restaurant to get them for us.We will be back!
I’ve been here a few times and it’s well done with great service. Connected to a few shops. Although I took an Uber from Penn Station the hotel does have shuttle service to La Guardia Airport. Outstanding service at the restaurant and I had breakfast there. If you have not been to this area it’s got a super collection of restaurants with authentic Chinese, and other Asian specialties. Chinese and Asian culture is abundant and unique. There’s also open produce and grocery stores throughout the area.
This hotel recently changed hands and is now a Marriott. No signage has changed though. It’s located in a very Asian area and serves many of the Asian airlines crews laying over at LaGuardia. Very close to the airport, but not walkable. Our room smelled musty, like there was a water leak somewhere. Never found a source and you would get used to it pretty quickly. Just hit you when you walked in. I was on the 12th floor. All guests that I saw, with the exception of us, were Asian. Tourists for the most part if not air crews. Surrounding area is a busy commercial district with 90% of business signage not in English. But I found all the shops I visited (bodegas, barbers, pharmacy) to speak English. At least enough to transact business. This was the last hotel in the area to have available rooms. Good for last minute travel. I was attending a family funeral so I’m glad for that. Rooms are all recently renovated and nice.
This place is horrible. If I can give negative stars, I would be glad to do so. We had a little kid, barely 8 and needed to use the bathroom. A really rude attendant kept stopping and saying if we are waiting for a shuttle, go somewhere else. This attendant was very rude and his only argument was we are not guests. He was practically yelling at us to get out.A hotels purpose is to show hospitality, but they did the exact opposite. Its just the bathroom. The second floor isnt even in use. So much for being a service that is supposed to show hospitality.
I wasnt sure what to expect in terms of the deco and staff responsiveness to needs as its my first time staying at Sheraton Laguardia. On arrival I was warmly greated by Jon who already had a smile on his face before I got to the counter. That was very welcoming and relaxing. He asked for my name and addressed me by my name all through the check-in experience. That to me is a touch of personalization and it meant a lot to me. I checked in into a good room with a splendid view of the city. Thank you Jon for this room. I also got Club access which I appreciated very much. The room was clean and had the standard amenities expected of a Sheraton brand. I was impressed to get the make a green choice card slipped under my door without having to call guest service like I had to in another Sheraton brand I stayed at in Florida. This gave me the impression that the staffs here know their SOP which is good.My overall experience was very pleasant and I would definitely return.
We had a great 3 day stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable. We did not spend much time in the hotel during the day since it is accessible to the subway (only a block away) we spent most of our time in NYC. We noticed that the maid did not remove the dirty wine glasses left in the room, we decided then to place them outside the door and they sat there for two whole days and a night. They were still there when we left. The bar was moved to a much more public location since our last stay. The bar was not as attractive as before and the seats are not comfortable. It is no longer inviting, it does not say sit here, talk with friends, work on your laptop while having a drink. It would help if the place had slighly larger tables and more comfy chairs were added so it would invite lingering and conversation. The lobby is not inviting. The food in the restaurant was tasty and the service good. Did not see any signs that announced if the hotel offered a spa or if it offered a business center or if it had any nice places to sit and contemplate. It seems more like a place to use while visiting the city and nothing more. The suttle driver was very helpful, friendy and welcoming. I would stay here again.
The hospitality I experienced when checking into this hotel was unsurpassable. Because I had to wait so long in line to check in, I was given a ticket for a free drink in the bar. The room was wonderfully appointed with ear plugs since we were near the airport and lavender essential oils for calming.
This hotel is lovely and is a convenient place to stay. One of the exits is a a half block from the subway. There is a multitude of restaurants and other stores within an easy walk. The hotel is located in a real neighborhood, so when I needed to go to a drugstore at 2:00 AM, the streets were busy and I felt perfectly safe, and the drugstore is open 24 hours. The hotel staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The airport shuttle runs regularly.
The accommodations were good as was the service. There is parking at the hotel for a daily fee of $14.00 if you are staying at the Sheraton. The Hotel was comfortable, the food was good (apps at the bar) and the service was good. Queens, NY is a very diverse city which is fun and exciting. This hotel is in downtown Flushing which is a predominately Asian area. The location does make it a bit challenging if you are unfamiliar with the area and local restaurants. Everything is in Chinese or Japanese. The food choices can be a bit unfamiliar if you are not used to ordering food that is authentic Asian. We were staying for St. Johns University graduation. The campus is about 20 minutes away due to congestion. It worked out fine although we may opt to stay in a different area next time.
This was my first stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was great. Parking is underground valet, but they were very quick to get car in and out, no waiting. Room had older furniture and not to the usual SPG standards Ive seen, but it was okay. Very good TV and the view from my room was fantastic. I could see from the Empire State Building all the way around to CT! Great at night. The hotel resteraunt was one of the best Ive been to and the price was very reasonable. The food was served very hot, well presented, and was delicious. Drinks were a bit expensive. Only issue is location. It is smack dab in the middle of the Chinatown of Queens. Most all of the resturaunts in the area did not have menus in English and did not take credit cards. Since the hotel restaraunt was so good, it wasnt an issue for us. The rooms were very quiet from outside noise, but could hear people in hall and other rooms a little bit. Will always stay here when Im in the area. Thanks!!
The ladies washrooms didnt have enough soap and paper towels. The hand dryer wasnt working. As the night progressed on, the toilet paper ran out and was not replenished. Otherwise the food was good, the food service was good. They allowed us to.being extra desserts. The coffee they provided was Starbucks.
Clean, well appointed facility. very good breakfast. very small gym space, good for cardio - has a good dumbbell rack. staff was professional and helpful all the way around. Asian cultured neighborhood and hotel to match. great for a change of pace or if interested in big variety of exterior restaurant choices. tax charges above the listed room fee per night and daily parking charge.
We had a free shuttle to the hotel which was on time and the driver was very nice. The check in was speedy and efficient! We arrived early and our room was ready. However there was a terrible smell in the room that we hoped would go away once we got back into our room after a day at the US Open. Wnen we got back late at night, the smell was still there and they moved us in another very nice room at the end of the same hall. This was all taken care of quickly and they even gave us extra points for the inconvienience. The lounge was very nice also. The only thing we didnt like was the area surrounding the hotel. Its dirty and doesnt feel safe enough to walk around in the evening. It was disappointing since it is so close to the US Open stadium. However, we appreciated the hotels transportation to and from the Open.
My family just returned from a 3 day trip to NYC and the Sheraton was the perfect hotel. We are gold members and were upgraded to the Club Level, which was perfect for an evening snack and one night even provided our dinner. The women taking care of the Club lounge were amazing and attending to our needs and were friendly as well. I read the comments about the small size of the lounge but it was perfect for our family of 5 and each night there were one or two other individuals; perfect to get out of the room. The front desk staff were friendly as well and met all our needs at check in and out. Unfortunately my children really missed not having a pool; it would have been perfect to have after spending all day in the city. The main factor for picking the Sheraton besides being a Starwood hotel was the proximity to the subway station; perfect location and the express takes you to Times Square or Grand Central, highly recommend.
The hotel is good from inside/as a facility. But the low rating is for the parking and its management. They have 1 small elevator for the entire building.... Takes 30-45 mins to leave after you requested your car back... Also, the valet had connected to the Bluetooth of our car (it refused to connect back to our phone).. Why???? I did not check the miles before we left the car, but were they driving it around??? Its a new Audi and we did not appreciate the way they provided their service. I would advise probably to find a better place around to park.
Not as happy this time around. Manager has not been walking the beat lately in the hotel to see if maintenance and housekeeping are doing their jobs. Even the elevators needed small repairs on the floor and someone put silver b vent tape instead of sealer or grout on the tile in the elevator floor. Again, small things that can be fixed easily but take time to do them all.
We were coming in from a weekend concert that we had worked. And the staff was amazing to help us get settled in a little bit early, and they were very helpful to make sure that were able to organize the food, transportation, and entertainment that the entire group needed. I was very impressed with their willingness to go the extra mile, and with the amenities.
Ive been here before many years ago. I had enjoyed my stay. This time it was a seminar, from what I see it still seems like a nice place. But what confuses me is when I see LaGuardia in the name I think its closer to the Airport. Then I guess its not that far. Plus theres some good local food places in that area.
Pros: Good location in the heart of Flushing, NY that have lots of Great restaurant and shopping within walking distance (Plus Citi Field).direct 35 min subway ride from Times Square.Safe neighborhood. Room was clean, bed comfortable.Price is much cheaper than the downtown ones.Staff was very friendly and helpful.Cons:- outdated and small without much fun facilities (not an issue if your main activities are shopping, dining or sport events)- room could be noisy for reason I havent figured outI woke up at 3am, and took me an hour to go back to sleep. because of some noise outside (could be air conditioning). The noise is 50 db according to my iPhone. It might be ok for some people, but too much for my sensible ear.It was too late to change the room or call the front desk, so I left a complain message in the Marriott app.The front desk got the message and apologized when I checked out. They also offered some points as a token for sorry.I am positively surprised by the customer service.
We had a family event in New Hyde Park, so the location was great for us. But had we been flying out of LaGuardia it would have been even better! Watching planes land was fun, the club lounge was great. We arrived before 3 oclock, so our room wasnt ready, but we were given access to the lounge while we waited, and the front desk called up when the room was ready. VERY clean, newer fixtures. Parking was the least expensive of any paid parking in the NYC area - $14 for 24 hours for hotel guests - unbelievable.

2022-03-31Positive: Nice hotel I¿ve stayed here a lot last year. The hotel is quiet and relaxing. The bed is comfortable. I like taking a bath in the tub. It¿s always a clean room and the staff are excellent and very professional. Negative: Just the lobby isn¿t done but it¿s being remodeled and I have to switch from one elevator to the next to get upstairs. Besides that it¿s perfect.

2022-05-23Nice, new and comfortable. I would put this as my top three hotels. I travel alot and was excited to try this new hotel. Parking was a bit much, $30 a day for valet, but thats New York, so yeah. I enjoyed the clean rooms, the very friendly hotel staff (the lady at the front desk made us comfortable and was so sweet). Would recommend and next time Im in NY, Im staying here.

2022-06-02I travel to Flushing about once a month. I used to say at the Hyatt across the street in In Flushing for 10 months now I saw the Sheridan was getting remodeled and I was looking forward to staying when completed. I stayed there last evening. The guest service was excellent. From the parking to the room. I was in Washington DC and called late for the reservation. I called at 3 and could only book a standard double bed room. When I checked in I asked if I could get a king single, and the desk was able to accommodate me. The room was great and my staff was terrific. I travel frequently and I’m very impressed with the staff and accommodations. This is now the hotel I will be staying at in the future.

2022-06-13Lobby is newly renovated. Most importantly, the staff at the front desk are so very helpful and kind. I was originally supposed to stay longer but had to check out a couple of days earlier because my baby was sick and wasn’t sleeping well. We had to travel home earlier than expected. The manager gave us a refund for the days that we weren’t staying even though hotel stays are non-refundable. What a kind person! I’ll never forget her! I wish I caught her name.

2022-06-28Oh my goodness the bed was so comfortable and slept with ease. Highly recommend as Sheraton was a pleasure. The parking garage attendees superb service. Location is so so, but who cares the hotel was very nice and no cheap furniture. I felt as though to be a VIP.

2022-04-03Location is really good if you just want to get around in flushing for food. Front desk people are super friendly and welcoming. But the hotel wall is paper thin! We were assigned into a connecting room with a group who apparently was having a prewedding party…. They were not exactly loud after midnight just talking normally, but we could still hear everything. We didn’t want to call to switch rooms since it’s already 1-2 am… I just hope the hotel could do something for sound proofing in all the connecting rooms.

2022-03-13Hotel is under major construction, yet there was no reduction of price for the room!!!??? and breakfast was not even included.I think that is not acceptable. My room was outdated and bathroom light-switch was a hazard! I was not surprised to find a sub-standard room because there was another guest who had came down to reception twice to change rooms in the time I was checking in and complaining about his rooms!I did not book the room - office did - probably thinking it was going to be great based on the Sheraton name and standards they have come to expect. However, I was UNIMPRESSED and UNDER-WHELMED and disappointed by the whole experience.I did not complain to/inform reception about my room issues, as it was late, I was tired and I did not think changing rooms would have placed me in a better situation.Thankfully, the bed and pillows were comfortable, so I slept well. The shuttle driver was very pleasant!Best part of my stay - checking out!

2022-02-07Positive: It was an emergency so little was to be expected, but it served its overall purpose. The room was clean and comfortable enough for the night and adequate bathroom facility to prepare for departure. Negative: The build was under construction and the address we received took you to the wrong entrance. It took a while to get someone on the phone to provide details on getting to the check-in desk. Also I was disappointed after booking a day only allowed ~11 hour

2022-05-22Our room smelled like hot wet towels and smoke. They moved us to another room where the AC didn’t work the carpets are wet (yes I’m writing this while still here) probably from humidity issues. They’ve sent someone up 3 times to try and fix. But they can’t. It’s 77° and moist in our room.I know it’s a one off bc our whole family is here for a wedding, and they aren’t complaining. But this is a miserable experience and I can’t recommend. Also the showers and toilet leak, the rooms are outdated, the lobby is deceivingly lovely though.

2022-02-24During my recent stay, I was very unsatisfied with one of the staff Joel. The reason I choose this place because one of my family friend works for Marriott, and I have always got great experience from my previous experience. However this time not the case, when I went to submit my authorization form for my stay as family friend, some thing when wrong, I don’t know what is wrong, but I know my last stay in Chicago was fine. While I try to ask this person Joel what is wrong and how can I fix it, he gives me this annoyed look, and won’t explain, all he do is keep yelling at me in front of other guests, stating that my from is wrong, he can go report me as fraud. I understand that could be my fault, but don’t he see that I try fix it, why do he has to yell like this in front of other people, do he know how to respect other and what customer service is, what I can’t believe is that he is the front desk manager too. Myself was a manager too, and I been staying in many hotel my life, this definitely is the worst customer service experience I had.
