Worst place ever I been.Server dosent know the menu she is bringing us some other table food , after then us 3 table come they all take their before then us.she makes many mistakes even dint say sorry ones. Also they are charging service chatge for two people wich is not legal in the state. They are charging credit card fee even you wanna pay cash.I dont even wanna talk about food. What else Good luck
Awful service. The waitress who worked yesterday on Monday Feb 28th 2022 was inpatient and rude, like we came there to bother her and like we wanted to get free meal. All the good things I heard about this place r partially true. Some food was good, some looked not fresh. But most of the reviews about rude waitress (I guess we all talk about the same person) is 100% true.If the owners read this review and still keep this person- they will lose a lot of customers because of her.P.S. 18% service charge is included in ur bill. Even they deserve 0.
I ordered 1 plov. What I found inside was insane. I found the gum with strawberry flavor from inside my plov. Now, I am guessing is it came from the chef’s mouth, hands , etc. or they mixed it with the leftover of someones food. Don’t order here if you don’t want to find gums or anything else from your food.
Unacceptable. Was harassed by the waitress in person and the manager of the place over the phone. The waitress was extremely rude to my elder parents in front of me and my young siblings. We all presented our vaccination cards along with our IDs. Because my 14 y.o. sister had a vaccination card and only had her school ID present the waitress refused to take us in. Mind you, the waitress was not even wearing a mask!! She should know better. Shame on you! Very unfortunate for the place that has delicious food...
So me and my family came here for lunch and the waitress said we could take a seat. Wouldnt be a big deal except she never once came back to offer us any menus or any service and instead catered to everyone else around us. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes and watching the rest of the staff eyeballing us like we are crazy we got up and left disappointed and hungry. The food might be good but we wouldnt know with service thats non existent. Dont waste your time here unless you like being treated like you dont exist.
Horrible customer service. I have ever had such a horrible customer service and treatment the first time in my life.I and my American friend took a flight from Mountain View, CA to Manhattan, NY for our business trip. As recommended by one of my Uzbek friends, we took over 1 hour long Uber ride all the way from Manhattan to Brooklyn to have Uzbek dinner, being excited. And Russian speaking young waitress greeted us at entrance, and it seemed she speaks 0 English. My friend was simply silenced as my friend speaks only English. I had a little struggle to understand their menu and asked waitress for some questions and found it hard to answer for some of her questions as well. The same waitress has frown upon us, rolled her eyes and shook her head as if we were low quality human beings, and she was vividly showing she was disgusted and hated us being in there. She was very unhappy working there, very tired and did not want to serve the customers. It was very horribly rude to me and my friend. However, we continued to be nice.I totally regretted bringing my friend to this Sherdor restaurant and ashamed myself. My friend left with extremely negative impression as if it was typical in Central Asia. And its not typical in Central Asia as I know. Never and ever visiting this horrible restaurant again. Shame on you. Меня опозорила от души.My recommendation, please let your waitress learn the basics of manner and customer service. People come to your restaurant for your service, and they pay for it. Do not expect everyone in your area to speak Russian, some people speak only English too, and would like to try Uzbek cuisine, and they may not be so familiar with your menu. Its waitresss job to put smile on their face and help customers to decide food and answer their questions politely. I would not put even 1 star but no choice.Good thing is that food was indeed very decent, very tasty and well cooked.
Delicious uzbek food ❤❤❤. Small place, but cozy and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. One of 2 restaurants in NY that offer real Samarkand plov ❤ and killer kebabs. We tried liver, beef, lamb, chicken and shish kebabs, which were all of good quality, juicy and delicious. We will definitely be going back there.
Ochen xaroshiy Restaurant nachinaya xazayina reybata kotoriy obslujivali nam i peves isho Naschot yida net slov super oddaxnuli chotka i doskanalnoThe restaurant is the best and starting from the boss and the servers. The food was amazing! The singer was also amazing. A day i will remember forever i will be there every week ! Keep this place the same thats why i give you 5 stars thanks for your service!!!
One of the best restaurant of Uzbek and bucharian food you would found I totally recommended amazing the plov is one of the best I’m not from NY and I being in two different restaurants and this one is the best the mango was butter wowww I wish in Arizona they would make something like this and sweet bread the meat was spectacular no comenta my husband and I the next trip we will come back for sure the reason we found this restaurant it was for our Uber driver he told us and we came and he was completely right !
Service ? Not good need to improve a lot. Feels like a number of people come together and running business who has no idea of hospitality:)Food must be delicious ? I do t know! we were there for Samsa and roll and they were out of them both at 1 PM. We find out they are out of it after we have ordered the food :( . We were waiting at the door for someone to take the dishes from tables were left after previous clients. They just took dishes and and let us seat I cleaned my table :) took of the rices of the table so people before us are plov:) If you don’t mind service just want to eat some central Asian food in a tiny space with 6” (not 6’ distance) apart to next table then you give a try! If you
Great food and decent prices for the area. Certainly would go back.Im rating this a 4, because the wait staff need to be a little more attentive. We were a party of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids), but were marked as a party of 6 and charged a 15% service charge. Fine, I figured thats what I would have left as a tip anyway. Our total came to around $77, but when the waitress brought back my credit card receipt to sign, I was charged almost $60 more than the check. The gentlemen in the back quickly took care of it and adjusted the charges, but please beware before signing the charge if using a credit card. Im not saying its intentional, but if it happened once, it can happen again to another unsuspecting customer.
Hi everyone,My family went to Sherdor restaurant last week. It’s absolutely terrible, loud in the restaurant, poor service. The reason the service is poor, in the month of Ramadan. Me and my family went to the restaurant for the first. Our expectations were different. We waited for 1 hour to eat food but only after 20 minutes we got only salads. That’s why I think you should not go to this restaurant.
Me and my family was ordering from Sherdor 3 years but with time its getting worse. We will never come back. I was ordering kazan kebab and literally there was boiled meat. Really ? Boiled meat in kazan kebab. For 15$ I got 2 cold potatoes and 3 peace of old cold boiled meat. Even its boiled not tasty at all.
This place is not halal for sure. The staff was unable to provide me any proof of serving halal food upon request, instead they asked me to leave the place.I looked up to al websites that certifies halal food in USA, this restaurant is nowhere. Also, their own menu doesnt mention halal.
Earlier this year I was visiting my family in New York. They took me here for dinner and oh boy was I stuffed for straight two days. I basically ordered everything and enjoyed every bite of it. Place was pretty decent but it was too loud. There were many drunk guests. I haven’t eaten Uzbek food for many years and this was satisfying. Recommend!
1 ⭐ is for the terrible customer service. Very unorganized personnel in running a business. I ordered over the phone & came exactly when I was told my order would be ready. Several waiters couldnt locate my order and tried to blame me for ordering from a different place. When they saw their phone number in my cellphone call log, a third person asked for my phone number, checked another computer and said that my order was picked up by someone else. No one apologized nor acknowledged their mistake. I was only told that I need to order again & wait for my order to cook
The food is nice, but some of their delivery guys are impudent. I made a delivery order over the phone and paid with card. I always tip, but that day, I didnt have any small dollar bills with me. The delivery guy impertinently asked for tip. Thank God, I was able to find a $10 bill at home.
Always I ordered food from this restaurant yesterday I went first time nice workers and restaurant was clean delicious food price is normal not expensive not cheap we spend 65$ +5$ tip for two people thanks guys, of course parking was problem have to look 2-3 time one road 😁
They have worst customer service i ever seen in United states. We had order a couple of times and picked up food as well.Every time with delivery they attached the menu.We were craving for some soup item # 4 & 5 as per attached menu that cost more then 15$ ( 7.99 + 6.99 + tax) but they guy said its only 12 bucks and we cant deliver. I told him its 15bucks and minimum for delivery is 15$. He said its old menu. But i told him i got this 2 days back with delivery. He seems angry and hang up the call.I called again but they did not answer, after many attempts he answered and screamed what i want? I told them that as a customer service they have to listen to customers and suggestions and to change they menu with delivery but again he hang up.Thats worst customer service a food organization have. I hope that the responsible person should be questioned by the management and send him for some training to know what a customer service is.We are not gonna order here again and going to let all our Uzbek and other friends to stop order from them while they dont know how to respect customers.
Horrible service. I ordered delivery tonight and in 40 minutes the delivery guy called me and asked to come to his car and pick up the food because he has so many delivery orders and he cant bring it. Its not professional and very disgusting service. I would order pick up if I wanted to come and pick up the food. Then I asked him to come at least to entrance door, so that I can pick up the food. Why would I place an order for delivery then? I do understand there are so many orders and its dinner time. I am a customer too. They are not customer service oriented and I would never order from this place again.
I used to love this place, but after their chef left because of COVID19 pandemic, the food quality dropped, especially the Kebabs. The plov is really good, I think they need to make bigger portions, as the plov is expensive itself. With bigger portions of plov, and better kebabs, this is a 5 star restaurant.
Food is good ! Pilau is perfect! But stuff representative so bad !!! Zarshet he said he’s the manager there, but this guy doesn’t have respect for anybody, he doesn’t know how to talk with the customer and also you guys illegally charging service fee, which even doesn’t go to server , this is NY city one place come one goes out ! So be nice with everyone!
Excellent authentic Central Asian (Uzbek) Restaurant. Very clean. Staff is very polite. I ordered food to go and was offered a complimentary soft drinks while I was waiting in the restaurant. Food tastes very authentic (according to my friend who came from the same region).
Terrible service, the waiters behave rudely, I no longer have a foot there until the attitude towards customers changes.if you do not take into account and think that this is a fake assessment, then this is already a problem. when you press the waiters, check them for tact and how they treat customers, in particular, there is a conversation about a girl of Asian appearance. rough, not polite, does not know how to communicate with the client, I personally got into this situation with her. about food there are no questions, it was rated purely because of this waitress, and also the previous European appearance was the same type, impolite and uncivil
Been here many times. Food is good without question, but people working there have zero idea about customer service and how to manage a live queue. Came in and asked for table for 6. They said there was about 20-minute wait. As I waited for a table, new people were coming in and taking seats. When I confronted one of the waiters, he said we told you there was no seat for 6 but you decided to wait (I guess it was my fault that I decided to wait for a table following the information they gave me). Get a book and a pen and start writing down peoples names to manage live queue!
Fresh salad and bread that comes with the plov. Ordered the special one with chickpeas and raisins and a quail egg. It was pretty good and plentiful in size for $12, enough to feed 3 females.Manti was also delicious but a little expensive, at $2 per dumpling.Salad is fresh and delicious! Both the one that comes with plov and the separate one we ordered with avocado.Place was VERY busy on a Sunday lunch with lots of customers flitting in and out, families and singles alike.English is not their forte.*be AWARE they automatically charge 10% service charge on the bill. The bill then gives you automatic service tips for 15% and above on the bottom NOT taking into account the 10% service fee already.
First of all the service is really bad. I was in many restaurants and tried their food but there’s nothing good about their customer services. At second I ordered a salad Smak and then I noticed that it’s made of used bread which is leftovers after people. As I understood that I felt disgusted and I suggest to everyone not to come here with your family at all.
Ive visited this place one time amd it was more than enough to dont visit this place anymore, I waited long enough because of the crowded area and slow service. I ordered plov which was 2 out of 5 but even the worst thing is that I witnessed something like a rat or a mouse ran by the quorner of table that was to my right. I was terrified to even imagine what could be also puted in my food. This is insane, some checkups should definitely made.
Originally I was going to give them 1 star but I changed my mind after tasting the food. The food is so good, if I could I would give them 10 starts I would because of the food but the service wasnt that great if you go near dinner time. Its jam packed because the food is good
They charge a 10% service fee!!! Someone working there is also a liar. I accidentally left my metrocard in the restaurant and they told me that they didnt have it when I called to ask and I saw that I had it with me when I was sitting down in the restaurant. The fact we left decent tips, this experience made me very upset with this place. Never will I visit this place again.
I was there with big group, it was 24 of us. Worst service ever The only thing that was decent about their famous PLOV was meat and rice was kinda stale, hard. shishkabob was scarse but, the most important it was the lamest dessert of fruits, they were scarse and we paid a fortune.
I am not one to review places often because I dont like to give bad reviews as any spot can have their off days but this spot was horrible. Beside allowing a party of 30 people with another party of 20 (who were in mourning) at the same time didnt kill the mood, the service, the lack of food (portions were tiny) and the food was subpar did. Ive been to many such places, for example Dushanbe on Emmons ave, but never did I have to wait for 2.5 hours for plov. The salads were stale and I couldnt catch the waiter, yes there were 30 of us and some of him (the restaurant knew ahead that we were coming), for the life of me to get anything. Almost choked waiting on some seltzer. I think this spot needs to bring their A game, cause there is a ton of competition in Brooklyn especially with this kind of food. Id think twice going there. I know I wont!!!!
Food was good. Service was not great. Maybe we did come wrong, in peak hours. We didn’t got in the bill the meaning of service charge. What is the difference by service charge and gratuity? If bill includes service charge, why you guys are asking for gratuity? Or there’s something I didn’t understand?
Horrible service in an empty restaurant... My friend and I orderd 2 dishes and they got one and forgot the other !!!! They were messing around in the kitchen and we could hear them laughing... Terrible food, lagman soup was veggies boiled in water, pilaf is greasy and disgusting. Ordered black tea and got a watery green tea and when i asked to change it the waiter gave me attitude and got me a pot of hot water and a lipton tea bag !!!! Horrible experience

2022-04-05Nice restaurant interior design and atmosphera so nice. Food is very delicious especially Plov. The plov in NY. Prices for food are not expensive and for 3 or 4 people it costs around $20-$25 dollars per person. The only downside of this place is service. Sometimes waiters dont care about you and your table and you have to stand up and go to ask yourself.

2022-05-09Stopped by for lunch while the food quality was great the service not so much. Ordered a salad and a few skewers. Right away the waiter was not sure if they had the liver. He went to check and said yes. So the order was placed only for him to come back to say the liver is not good and to replace it with something else. Ok it happens he was nice and apologetic about it. Replaced it with lamb ribs. The appetizers and drinks came out right away and the wait for our main dishes started...while we waited for about 30-35 minutes everyone who came in after us were getting their food. It appears that most of them were Uzbek and were ordering things like plover which is pre made unlike our skewers. So when our order came out we only got 3 our of 4 and were told that the infamous lamb ribs are coming later. Guess what another 20 minutes later we are done with food and just sitting and waiting.so we called the waiters and he told us that they havent even started making them. We just got the check and that was it. It would have been an amazing experience if it wasnt for the service.

2022-06-30Food was expensive and their were small portions. Chicken was not good at all. I ordered the plov and there was nothing special about it like people say their is and their was barely any rice on the plate. Prepare to pay credit card fee service charge and tax. Very low quality food. I do not recommend this place.

2021-05-23I’ve heard a lot about their famous pilaf (plov). Wasn’t satisfied even close. First of all its totally not the best pilaf in NY. And it’s not as great as it’s used to be before. There was just plain fat.Another thing is service. We had to wait for 40 mins to get our tea. It’s Bc the waitress didn’t write down our order so she forgot. We were group of 8. And when 2 ppl ordered desserts for some reason the waitress put all desserts (of 2 different ppl sitting at two different sides of the table) in one plate and left the plate in a middle of the table. I’m assuming she thought it’s for all 8 people. But then why didn’t she bring extra silverware or clean plates. Very very disappointing.

2022-04-20I ordered beef shish kebab, they took left overs and warmed it up from another table. They are too cheap to give me fresh kebabs. Also found a dead bug inside my tea pot.

2022-05-09TERRIBLE, NASTY, RUDE!I have never had such a small portion of lagman with literally 5 noodles, and a fried lagman with extra spicy noodles and inedible meat(can’t even chew). The beef kebab was fine but again, it was only 3 pieces.First they gave us wrong check for a total of $200 for those 3 entrees, then they made a mistake saying that we ordered 3 lag mans instead of 2. Moreover the waiter in a very rude way kept proving that we ordered 3 and bla bla bla. For the $100 i payed i could go somewhere else and eat much more and tasty!!!The food is not tasty, waters are rude.Don’t go there!!!

2022-04-05The service is really bad. You being ignored by waiting staff and their excuses is that they need to bring food to other tables. Normal if you seat a costumer you at least take their order and you can says it might take longer because they very busy. But not even coming to my table to at least acknowledge that that I’m waiting. Just a note- most costumers are from their native bank ground. If you’re not then you’re not getting any service

2022-04-23Placed the order for take out. The Pilaf (Uzbek Plov) not the best in Brooklyn. Plov was oversalted, meat (beef) was overcooked and dry. The taste of the Manti was just a fat and didn’t taste good. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there or order for take out.
